Priscilla Cecilia (née Moore), Countess Annesley as Queen Eleanor of Castile Photo by by H. Walter Barnett, 1904
Daughter of William Armitage Moore, Priscilla (1870-1941) married her first cousin, Hugh Annesley, 5th Earl Annesley in 1892. He was a soldier and wealthy land-owner; he was also nearly forty years older than Priscilla. Together they had two daughters. Priscilla was considered one of the great beauties of the period and was a noted hostess at the family residence at Castlewellan in Northern Ireland. She was photographed a number of times by Bassano and appeared in his series Types of English Beauty.

Pretty spectacular 1925 c. W. W. Revile Terry Ltd. design gold lame evening dress. It is embellished with beads and sequins in a foliate motif, with beaded fringing to the hips and neckline with a large medallion to the central dropped waist. It was commissioned by Countess Prescilla Cecilia Annesley, the second wife of the 5th Earl of Annesley and the daughter of William Armitage Moore. (In other words, by a very wealthy woman!) From Whitaker Auctions.
