I haven't thought much about Jonathan Sims for long enough that I kinda feel like I've started thinking about him a little more divorced of the emotional attachment I might have had once. Because I just saw a post lamenting his slow descent into inhumanity and losing his identity, becoming the archivist rather than Jonathan Sims, losing his friends, his house, everything he loves.

But is that true? That put upon head archivist persona he had in the beginning, was that really him? The way I see it, real life has already leached him of any identity he might have had, he didn't really have friends, Tim and Sasha clearly weren't, as we saw in their season 5 recording. He chose to make them his subordinates over beib friends, pushed away Georgie, he became so desperate for approval that he agreed to take a job he clearly has no idea how to do, let his stress over it isolate him from everyone around him, had a desperate need to assert himself in the beginning of every recording as 'head archivist of the Magnus institute london'. Forget about even having a home, he often slept in his office for heaven's sake.

The way I see it, this story is about him finding himself, finding the perfect place for himself in this already doomed world that was already strangling him and everyone around him. He became the Archivist, no longer needing to connect himself to some godforsaken capitalistic institute to identify himself. found his role, he enjoyed its power, even admitted to it. He found love. He found purpose in trying to save the world. In the end he was surrounded with the friends he made along the way (as friendly as they could be under the circumstances). He was finally allowed to make real choices, have true responsibility over himself and not be some tired corporate worker, part of a tired pointless system. Sure his choices weren't that great, and getting there was through outside manipulation and his own ignorance and he had to suffer immensely and pay an awful price of what we like to call his "humanity" but he Became and found what we all look for - his calling.

"It's still me" he says in the last episode. Because he is. He lost nothing and gained everything. Even dying in his lover's arms.

Forget about being human. In the end Jon achieves apotheosis and truly becomes Jonathan Sims

I met RSL after seeing Betrayal in Chicago last weekend and he signed my drawing 😭😭 (I'll share a bit more under the cut) I actually still can't believe it and still don't know what to do I feel like throwing up every time I think about it but I've calmed down. It's kind of a blur 😭 but I remember while he was holding it he said something like "kids are so talented these days." (kill me) Then he looked at me and said "wait, how old are you??" (I get this a lot bc I'm pretty small; he had to lean all the way over to talk to me lmao) I laughed and told him I'm 20 and he said "ah, you're still a kid." heart broke a little (in a good way). And he recognized his ferris bueller shirt :''))) so yeah I barely slept that night 😭😭 I am so so lucky to finally see him on stage and I'm sure I'll continue to think about the play for a long time :'')

I remembered randomly that Plo used to have a yellow lightsaber so i decided to play around with the lighting of an older piece to see how it would look and honestly??? Im liking this look more than the blue lightsaber.

I do want to draw a full piece of Plo with a yellow lightsaber instead of reusing older art but im in a massive art block rn so this is the best i can do. So enjoy this in the meantime until motivation returns

Theme 43: The Alibi Room

I'm so excited to announce that after 4 days in development, the game The Alibi Room will soon be officially available!

The game follows a bartender, Kev, who is the owner of the bar The Alibi Room, which located in the southside of Chicago. The plot is experienced over the course of 10 years (until the bar is sold), with various characters visit the bar from time to time and cause their own drama. its gameplay consists mostly of reading dialogue. This dialogue is periodically broken up by a minigame in which the player make various drinks(or snacks) by using the ingredients (which will be changed a little for each different years) in the bar (be careful, different drinks might lead to the different endings!).

After the last event "Happy anniversary!" is finished, the endless mode will be unlocked and you can design your own drinks for all the characters in game!

This game is mainly inspired by Coffee Talk and Red String Club, and Kevin Ball, the real owner of the bar who offered me the stories.

help a disabled trans woman finally move into a real house

hi my names eris im a 26 disabled and heavily mentally ill trans woman living in one of the worst places in england, and more than that just over a year ago i was kicked out by my moms transphobic girlfriend, since then to avoid full homelessness and not having anywhere else to really go ive been living in a barely insulated shed on a farm in the middle of nowhere, this has led to me being nearly constantly sick for the entire year, already barely able to take care of myself ive just absolutely fallen apart as a person despite my best efforts and now during winter the shed has been constantly absurdly cold and lead me to deal with regular mild hypothermia thats sometimes hit moderate despite bundling up with both an electric heater and fireplace going and honestly i just dont know how much more i can physically take

ive been wanting to move into a walkable city due to my disability meaning i cannot ever drive, and ideally somewhere progressive so i can start to finally present femininely despite being outted over a decade ago which would also help dramatically, but despite trying to get financially able to afford the move ive made no progress due to having to spend the lil money i have spare each month on solving immediate issue and sadly im way too mentally ill too consider trying to move into a house share/roommates situation

the british housing assistance system id be able to use would need me to get a place before im able to claim assistance on rent so i really just need to get the money to pay for the deposit and first month of rent and the average deposit ive seen for the apartments that would be comfortable and habitable for my disabilities is about £1100 and about £800-900 for first months obviously thats a lot to ask for and im gonna be trying my hardest to put as much as i can aside to cover the rent and seeing if i can borrow money to help make up the rest
