We are back with our 'In Manchester' Open Call Exhibition! ​​​​​ ❤️➡️ https://linktr.ee/cottononmcr ⬅️👀 This is our Open Call to all Greater Manchester artists to apply to be in our next exhibition. We held this in April last year and we are back again, only this time, we are going bigger! We will be at 100 Barbirolli Square (next door to Bridgewater Hall) and be taking over a WHOLE FLOOR! The exhibition will be live at the end of May to the beginning of June, and APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN NOW!​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ We are inviting all artists out there, from hobbyists to professionals and everyone in between, to apply to be featured! We had a fantastic turnout last year and made plenty of sales too! 🐝 Be sure to buzz on over to @cottononmcr for the interview I did with @domino.po for my solo exhibition. Excerpt.... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ‘Baroque art has had both a visual and conceptual influence on my work... Just as the Baroque leads the viewer into the spiritual or religious experience via extremely sensual exaggerated forms, I’ve always tried to leave a trail of breadcrumbs out beyond the edge of my paintings, to lead the viewer away from the extravagant surfaces and into something deeper. Whether it be through discussions about the work (like this), engaging directly in the recent workshops or now with what I am starting to put out on my social media channels.
