Isn’t this a beautiful inviting entrance? This photo was taken in the village of Castle Combe, located in the Cotswolds, on our England trip in July this year. I always like to take inspiration from my trips to England and figure out what exactly it is that I find so charming and try to recreate the look at my own home. Here the elements are two square gray metal planters adorned with colorful summer plants, a beautiful wreath on the door, and a climbing plant growing around the front door. Even if one only picks one element it could make an entrance look so much more inviting. I am thinking about the autumn look of our front door already and I will try to find a beautiful wreath for it. I want it to be made out of natural materials in soft colors and maybe adorned with dried flowers. Have you also started thinking about autumn and autumn decor in the garden and in the house?
