i have never asked a question so i unno- the last one you answered referenced the moral implication in cotl and i am deeply obsessed with the interpretations have of game mechanics and player interpretation

did you choose things you thought were 'morally' correct in game or did you follow the designed path of dehumanization? tbc there's no wrong answer i am just always interested in hearing how folks play their games

Okay so i was thinking more in the context of the other games characters/setting, (its a spin on classic rpg games, where you play as a traditional party of heroes, outside the main antagonist you don't fight any human enemies and even the main villain doesn't die in the end. Comparing that to cotl is like apples to fishsticks they really aren't the same game or working off the same core premise visa ve morals) but i am 100% down to play ball with this. So quick answer is no. my lamb was always a bit fucked up. which probably influenced my first answer, lol. I play my lamb as a berserker running an immortality cult where no one is to die/stay dead unless they say so. their God chose them, and then they became a god, so clearly they know what's best. They like eating people as a way to make them earn their place if they decide, based on their standards. They aren't worthy of being part of the community yet. Because they can't just leave they are already Theirs, but they also have to be able to contribute, and it's fine since they'll just bring them back :) They have a savior complex and a desperate need for control over nearly every aspect of their life after years of running and having nothing. In their mind what they do is good, they are keeping people safe, they are doing what needs to be done. Everyone in their cult has a comfortable home, food, drink, and dress they get to have fun so why would they want to leave. They can't leave. They won't let them leave. Deep down they know most wouldn't see what they're doing as "right" but they don't care as long as everyone seems happy it's Okay. (they care a lot actually but only Narinder is able to bring this up to them without them shutting down) They do Slowly get better and grow to accept the idea they can let go of some of their control . But becoming a literal god did not help with this at all, and it's going to take at least a few more decades before they start being able to let go of any of "their" people. My lamb lives in a fucked up world, went through fucked up things and is very mentally ill about it all. They aren't evil persay (this is a world where ritual sacrifice, cannibalism and murder is just a part of life, the cotl world does not work on modern standards and that's fine) just Not a good person and probably needs time away from running their cult/community to actually process everything and start growing into someone not so.... That.

Bluebell AU: Follows a merciful lamb named shepherd (they/them). The goat is named Belial (it/it's), this goat didn't come from a different timeline or anything it just pissed of the old gods by being a little bastard so it got turned into goop for a few hundred years. Spider's Vessel AU: This goat is named Pann (it/it's), Role swap au. The lamb becomes a witness for Narinder in this AU. Indulgent AU for my Shamgoat brainrot.
