I think it is important that, aside from the scene where he's a kid and only conscious for long enough to say his name, the first thing we see Will Turner do is break something and then flounder about for a moment trying to hide the evidence

Im posting a LOT here rn but uhhhuhuhhhhh just ignore it
ALSO GUESS WHAT NOBODY REALLY ASKED FOR Children of the Betrayed content!!!!!!!!!! Here's factions I made for the whole world.
~The Bonfire of the Resolute.
This dangerous group of people specialize entirely in weapon and armor making. Almost every person in this faction are some of the best smiths in the entire land, living on volcanoes and infinite access to both heat and a hardened ore that’s found in said volcanoes called crenor (kr-ee-nor) which is the most durable metal found on the continent. They’re aggressive and don’t like outsiders, although if you prove to them you aren’t a threat and maybe even an ally they might help you.
Enemies - Seafarers of the Lost Age, Obscure Whispers.
Neutral - Dissipated Stratosphere, Sovereign of the Wasted, Celestial.
Allies - Mainland Wanderers.
~Seafarers of the Lost Age.
Owner of the seas, the Seafarers are made up of fishermen and pirates. They’re one of the main four factions along with Bonfire, Stratosphere and Mainland. This faction supplies the others with fish and other minerals and items that come from the ocean. Of course, other factions use their own boats in the ocean to try and take some themselves and, if allies with the Seafarers, they’ll let you, but their boats will always be better with thought put into even the smallest element of design of the ship, the way each and every cannon is shaped and different cannonballs.
Enemies - The Bonfire of the Resolute, Obscure Whispers.
Neutral - Mainland Wanderers, Sovereign of the Wasted, Celestial.
Allies: Dissipated Stratosphere.
~Dissipated Stratosphere.
This faction controls the sky, they consist mainly of monks or messengers. Everybody in this faction has wings or some way to fly, seeing as they inhabit the lowest floating island. Being so high up though, they’re connection to Celestial, the gods, is more than any other faction. That's why most are monks, the messengers send messages from the gods down to the other factions since the gods don’t come down by themselves.
Enemies - The Bonfire of the Resolute, Mainland Wanderers, Obscure Whispers.
Neutral - Sovereign of the Wasted.
Allies - Seafarers of the Lost age, Celestial.
~Mainland Wanderers.
The last of the main four factions, Mainland, is known for construction of all kinds. They have a mix of scholars, seeing as their faction rules most of the continent, but the design that goes into their buildings and structures are what they’re more known for. Other factions have even tried to replicate it due to how safe their walls are, but they’re too complicated and Mainland refuses to give that knowledge.
Enemies - Dissipated Stratosphere, Sovereign of the Wasted, Obscure Whispers.
Neutral - Seafarers of the Lost Age, Celestial.
Allies - The Bonfire of the Resolute.
~Obscure Whispers.
The most hated faction, enemies with everyone but nobody dares to attack them. In fact, all factions continue to send people to Obscure. This is because they rule punishment, known for their prisons and torture methods they are possibly the most feared faction. If you walk into this faction without knowing what you’re doing, there’s a high chance you won’t come out. They’ll find a reason to lock you up or give you some sort of death sentence. But, people born here who leave because they don’t want to participate in the punishment being given out are hugely hated on the continent. The only “people” who like them are the gods in Celestial.
Enemies - The Bonfire of the Resolute, Seafarers of the Lost Age, Dissipated Stratosphere, Mainland Wanderers.
Neutral - Sovereign of the Wasted.
Allies - Celestial.
~Celestial.
The gods of this world, inhabiting the highest floating island they watch from above. They are not enemies with anybody and are only allied with Stratosphere because they can communicate with the mainland. Imagine Celestial as heaven but one that, if lucky enough, you can visit temporarily. Obscure is more like hell and so, because they balance eachother out, they are allied as well. The gods know Obscure’s purpose is entirely to punish and it was not their choice.
Enemies - None
Neutral - Sovereign of the Wasted, The Bonfire of the Resolute, Seafarers of the Lost Age, Mainland Wanderers.
Allies - Dissipated Stratosphere, Obscure Whispers.
~Sovereign of the Wasted.
The neutral and probably the most friendly faction, people come to Sovereign for shelter from the many wars that happen between the main four factions, or for people who don’t want to be blacksmiths, fishermen etc. Sometimes, the main four will kick people out for not making it up to their standards so they seek refuge in Sovereign. They don’t have any enemies besides Mainland, but that's because they share the land. Mainland would never dare attack them, seeing as technically they could win but they would be looked down upon by the other factions, possibly ending all alliances and basically it’s political and social suicide.
Enemies - None. (They don’t hate Mainland, but Mainland hates them)
Neutral - Mainland Wanderers, The Bonfire of the Resolute, Seafarers of the Lost Age, Dissipated Stratosphere, Obscure Whispers, Celestial.
Allies - None.

TW:
Call of the Boogieman Candydealer owns a factory
He does a lot of gruesome things since he does swap roles with Bob
Though he doesn’t work like Bob in choosing his targets. Instead of seeing them and immediately approaching, he would see them and slowly follow and stalk..
Then once at their most vulnerable state he would strike…
A state of sleep

really love these themes because the Fae vs. Human arc that was so prominent in acotar was the reason i picked up this series and having that drop off over the next few books still saddens me to no end
also the potential of dark!feyre? soulless!feyre? feyre cursebreaker with the power of all seven courts but she's prythian's adversary instead of their savior now?
and in the end maybe its the parts of her human life that bring her back? her sisters who know her better than any fae she's ever met or her love of painting and all the colors she sees and catalogues as an anchor to her humanity
It would be so cool if the Children of the blessed ended up being fae hunters instead of a fae cult. Like they watch after mortals and when a fae crosses the wall to cause chaos they'd be there to kill them.
To keep up appearances(so fae won't suspect anything) they move as a fanatic religious organization when in reality they study the texts of forgotten Gods and learn ways to keep mortals safe and kingdoms from toppling.
They're also trying to figure out why most mortals no longer have magic when it turns out that they do. Mortals just stopped using it and subsequently forgot why they did.(They had good reason to.)
(Mortal magic functions fundamentally different from fae magic; ie actual rules, higher stakes, maybe patron Gods, but magic always comes with a cost)
I imagine Cotb also have different divisions with their main branches in the mainland and they know something is wrong in Prythian because it's been mostly quiet for the last 50 years and the spys they send in keep going mia. So they tell the Prythian branch to close shop but the Prythian branch knows something is wrong so they keep trying when one of their spy's come back from Spring half dead.
It's also how Feyre ended up joining them. They saved her and after learning about what they actually do(and the pay) she was pretty happy. That is, until she kills Andras and Tamlin pops up and the first book goes somewhat the same. In the second book when Rhysand pops up they give it their all to get her back because even as a fae she's one of them, human at heart.
It'd give her(and us) better ties to the mortal lands and her humanity than just her family or the random human that pops up in Prythian. And people that aren't the ic she considers family that when push comes to shove they'll pick her and not her mate.

What is your favourite Doctor Who story?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ROUND 2 MASTERPOST
synopses and propaganda under the cut
The Eleventh Hour
Synopsis
After a literally explosive regeneration, the brand new Eleventh Doctor survives a crash-landing to Earth. However, he has little time to recover. With a mysterious crack in a little girl's wall and a missing alien prisoner, the Doctor is in for an adventure. However, with the TARDIS damaged and the sonic screwdriver destroyed, can the Doctor capture the rogue alien before its jailers burn Earth to a crisp?
Propaganda
Omg i love this ep so much.  It was the absolute perfect way to introduce the new doctor to the show; Matt had some big shoes to fill after David but he did so perfectly in this episode.  All of the other doctors I had to get used to, and I especially thought I’d have to following my fav ten, but i immediately fell in love with 11 with this episode. I also feel like this was a great plot overall and I loved both Amy and Rory in it. (@lavenderlace16 )
The Curse of the Black Spot
Synopsis
The TARDIS is marooned onboard a 17th century pirate ship whose crew is being attacked by a mysterious and beautiful sea creature. Becalmed and beset by cabin fever, the pirates have numerous superstitious explanations for the Siren's appearance. The Eleventh Doctor has other ideas, but as his theories are disproved and every plan of escape is thwarted, he must work to win the trust of the implacable Captain Henry Avery and uncover the truth behind the pirates' supernatural fears — and he must work quickly, for some of his friends have already fallen under the Siren's spell.
Propaganda
I don’t understand why nobody else seems to like the curse of the black spot, its so fun, is it the best episode ever, no, but I like it when Doctor Who gets silly with it (anonymous)
