THIS TOOK OVER SIX MONTHS.#BUILDING A COMMUNITY TANK JUST FOR A BETTA#she's finally in and she's perfect btw#well behaved but a shrimp annoyer#I accept she might eat some juveniles but she just has had a BIG INSPECTION of the large females and then just got surprised#but gives so little of a fuck about the tetra it's comical#and she's hung out on the floor with the cories#sampled their food during breakfast (not a fan)#might eat baby snails but I have a bladder snail problem so down for that queen#yes I am considering naming her Karlach because I'm a cringle lesbian#bright/white spots are copper scales btw

This tiny catfish tends to grow to be about 2.1 cm (0.8 inches). They have an unusual habit of hovering in the water column instead of resting on the bottom!

Sterba's corydoras!
Like other corydoras catfish, these fish have a pretty unique way of reproducing: a male and a female will form a "T-shape", with the female's head resting between the pectoral fins and body of the male. The male releases some sperm, and the female moves it to her pelvic fins, which form a kind of "basket". The female Sterba's cory will then lay a single egg, places it in her pelvic fin basket, and swims off to place the now fertilised egg in a suitable safe spot. Then the cycle repeats until all eggs are fertilised!
