For the Rook ask: 10.
10. Does Rook know their history? Do they know of the HoF, Hawke, the Inquisitor?
Yeah Corrynn knows about each of them!
The story of Branda Aeducan is whispered in Surfacer circles, a princess exiled from Orzammar, using her diplomacy and wit to bring Ferelden together and knight a king and queen. And that she even managed to court and wed the Divine. Though Corrynn didn’t hear as much from that side as they were more surrounded with groans of frustration at her name, managing to convince a Crow to her side and his survival resulting in his own house being torn apart.
Sparrow Hawke is the one Corrynn is most familiar with, with Varric spinning many a tale about their adventures, learning about everyone from their crew. Carver, Anders, Merrill, Fenris, everyone. Including Gamlen, Bethany, Leandra, Bodahn, everyone Sparrow deemed important to keep close to their heart. Learning their struggles, their personality, everything Varric enshrined about them. And meeting their captain/girlfriend helped make them real without ever seeing them in person.
Venar Cadash is probably the one they have read the most about, as his influence within Carta crime circles and impact on Ferelden-Orlais politics and climate sent shockwaves through the Crows’ information networks. When they were sent to the south for the occasional job, they would hear whispers of his exploits, of strings he pulled, allegiances forged, and new guard dogs at his beck and call. But when asking about him to Varric, as opposed to the deep connection to Sparrow, his stories about Venar were more precise, surgical even. Straight to the point with less flavour, which Venar would have appreciated. Hawke was a person, Cadash wanted to remain an icon. So when they meet him, they start trying to strip away the story from the facade and reputation he built up over all the years. See how much of a person he really is.

non-spoilery rook asks for Corynn!! 30, 31, 32 pleaseeeeee <3
Hey sorry this took a whileeee, but I got to it on my commute!
30. What is Rook’s class? Did they choose it?
Corrynn De Riva is a two handed Warrior! While they werent formally trained in the art before being picked up by the Crows, they were strong and not particularly light on their feet, and knew how to beat people with a big stick. If things were different they might have made a good Rogue or a Dual Wielding Warrior a la Taash, but the big weapons lended them an intimidation factor which the Crows appreciated as they stood watch as a guard during some assassinations.
31. What specialization does Rook pursue? What called them to it?
Reaper! In a more “normal” set of circumstances they would have probably been a Slayer or Berserker type, using raw strength to break shit. But they gained some limited magic powers from being exposed to Solas’ ritual and that manifesting quickly led to them embracing the skills it granted.
They started experiencing it the same time as Harding got her own magic powers, but when it started to pull them in a different direction, soon after they met Davrin, they wanted to learn more and met with Emmrich at Bellara’s suggestion. The meeting helped focus and refine the necrotic powers into a honed machine of destruction.
32. How would a desire demon tempt Rook?
While in the Crows, Corrynn was frequently paired with a specific client, an Antivan politician. She was suave, cool, and willing to twist her words to a sharp point or a blunt weapon. Corrynn picked up on some of her traits and started with lighthearted verbal jousts while on observation duty, sparking a friendship between the two. Mission after mission every time they would work together, the relationship would grow into something, not quite romantic, not quite platonic, something neither of them could really describe.
But when a rival faction paid to have the woman assassinated by a different house, she simply disappeared. A lot of the lower ranked Crows were kept in the dark, including Corrynn themself, and they were just left in constant wonder and the lack of closure in their heart would mar them, the first little thought that would help them attack the Antaam against Crow leadership’s decisions, and made the decision to leave just a little bit easier.
A desire demon would tempt them with finding out what happened to her, an answer to a question that they tried to stop asking.
