I realized I've forgotten to post my favorite part of Frog Detective 3.
Wendy: "We are proud to offer our customers a satisfaction guarantee on all purchases." Detective: "What is a satisfaction guarantee?" Wendy: "We can guarantee that you will be either satisfied or dissatisfied with your purchase." Detective: "What happens if I'm dissatisfied?" Wendy: "That falls within our satisfaction guarantee." Detective: "So I can get a refund?" Wendy: "The satisfaction guarantee only guarantees a range of satisfaction from dissatisfied to satisfied. If your feeling towards the product doesn't fall within that range, you are entitled to a refund." Detective: "That clears it up, thanks."

I need help deciding which book to read next! Please help me decide, if you will. :3
Book summaries under the cut.
Red Rabbit by Alex Grecian
Sadie Grace is wanted for witchcraft, dead (or alive). And every hired gun in Kansas is out to collect the bounty on her head, including bona fide witch hunter Old Tom and his mysterious, mute ward, Rabbit.
On the road to Burden County, they’re joined by two vagabond cowboys with a strong sense of adventure – but no sense of purpose – and a recently widowed schoolteacher with nothing left to lose. As their posse grows, so too does the danger.
Racing along the drought-stricken plains in a stolen red stagecoach, they encounter monsters more wicked than witches lurking along the dusty trail. But the crew is determined to get that bounty, or die trying.
The Temps by Andrew Deyoung
Jacob Elliot doesn’t want a temporary job in the mailroom at Delphi Enterprises, but after two post-college years of unpaid internships and living in his parents’ basement, he needs the work. Then, on his first day, the unthinkable happens: toxic gas descends on a meeting in Delphi’s outdoor amphitheater, killing all the regular employees and leaving Jacob stranded inside the vast office complex.
Wandering through Delphi headquarters, Jacob finds other survivors: Lauren, the disillusioned classics major who’s now writing online personality quizzes; Swati, the fitness instructor trying to escape a toxic relationship; and Dominic, the business school student who will do almost anything to get ahead. Stranded in the wreckage of the company that employed them, the temps band together to create a miniature world that’s part spring break, part office culture—until a shocking discovery disrupts the survivors’ self-made paradise and drives them to uncover the truth about the mysterious corporation that employed them and the apocalypse that brought their world to an end.
A surprising, profound tribute to the absurdities and paranoia of modern life, The Temps is an epic exploration of survival and human connection in the digital age.
Projections by S. E. Porter
Love may last a lifetime, but in this dark historical fantasy, the bitterness of rejection endures for centuries.
As a young woman seeks vengeance on the obsessed sorcerer who murdered her because he could not have her, her murderer sends projections of himself out into the world to seek out and seduce women who will return the love she denied—or suffer mortal consequence. A lush, gothic journey across worlds full of strange characters and even stranger magic.
Sarah Porter’s adult debut explores misogyny and the soul-corrupting power of unrequited love through an enchanted lens of violence and revenge.
Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig
It’s autumn in the town of Harrow, but something besides the season is changing there.
Because in that town there is an orchard, and in that orchard, seven most unusual trees. And from those trees grows a new sort of apple: strange, beautiful, with skin so red it’s nearly black.
Take a bite of one of these apples, and you will desire only to devour another. And another. You will become stronger. More vital. More yourself, you will believe. But then your appetite for the apples and their peculiar gifts will keep growing—and become darker.
This is what happens when the townsfolk discover the secret of the orchard. Soon it seems that everyone is consumed by an obsession with the magic of the apples . . . and what’s the harm, if it is making them all happier, more confident, more powerful?
Even if something else is buried in the orchard besides the seeds of these extraordinary trees: a bloody history whose roots reach back to the very origins of the town.
But now the leaves are falling. The days grow darker. It’s harvest time, and the town will soon reap what it has sown.
The Failures by Benjamin Liar
Welcome to the Wanderlands. A vast machine made for reasons unknown, the Wanderlands was broken long ago. First went the sky, splintering and cracking, and then very slowly, the whole machine—the whole world—began to go dark.
Meet the Failures. Following the summons of a strange dream, a scattering of adventurers, degenerates, and children find themselves drawn toward the same place: the vast underground Keep. They will discover there that they have been called for a purpose—and that purpose could be the destruction of everything they love.
The end is nigh. For below the Keep, imprisoned in the greatest cage ever built by magicians and gods, lies the buried Giant. It is the most powerful of its kind, and its purpose is the annihilation of all civilization. But any kind of power, no matter how terrible, is precious in the dimming Wanderlands, and those that crave it are making their moves.
All machines can be broken, and the final cracks are spreading. It will take only the careless actions of two cheerful monsters to tip the Wanderlands towards an endless dark...or help it find its way back to the light.

Recently Completed - Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (Xbox Series X)
This is a trilogy of first-person mysteries starring the world's second-greatest mystery solver, Frog Detective! Can you find out what's going on on The Haunted Island? Can you crack the Case of the Invisible Wizard? Can you avoid the snares of Corruption at Cowboy County?
I played these with my young daughter and we loved it. The writing and art style are incredibly charming, and Frog Detective is wonderfully guileless and cheerful. The gameplay involves roaming a relatively small, contained area, talking to each resident in turn to understand possible motives and solve their individual problems. It's all very silly and lighthearted, since it's firmly established that crime doesn't exist in this world. The characters are quirky and we had great fun coming up with accents and voices to characterize them.
The 2nd game introduces a handy notebook mechanic for keeping track of clues, suspects, and your inventory. Best of all, you get to decorate the notebook cover with fun stickers. But even though you can individually designate characters as suspicious, it never really comes to much.
Whoever you are: if you like things that are cute and silly you will like this. Please play it!!

A Toad eating some winged termites while trying to call the insects close with my Sofirn sp35t as payment for this toad for being filmed and also to provide good actions shots (don't let the toad's union hear this!). The shaking of the camera I tried to soften um shotcut, but I was using my phone on hand and getting termites trying to go into my face holes (only, thankfully) so it is indeed a problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------song source: Corruption at Cowboy County: A Frog Detective Soundtrack The Entire Mystery

Bananas is state of Florida and it went republican overnight . Or perhaps that was the plan all this time and no one saw it until now. Miami Dade County has always been corrupted. They built this place on drug money. Remember the cocaine Cowboys. And there's one popular street in the city of Miami. The Cubans were dealing with so much drugs they finally named that Street… Bird Rd. how could they have accomplished all that without the police cracking down on them. Because you couldn’t go a little bit down south to buy a bag of weed without the police locking you up and putting you in jail. But yet the Cubans are running cocaine up and down back and forth. It's illegal and they did it for years. That was all a part of getting money and gaining power at any cost. As I look back at the African-American neighborhood the police stayed riding around looking for illegal activities just like it was on bird road. But in the black community a lot of people went to jail, but not the cubans drug runners. This whole state of Florida is so biased now racist and a lot of discrimination is going on now today. We all just saw the election lately. Florida became Republican overnight. You brought a lot of Cubans here and we also have passed that law where wet feet dry  feet. They came in by boatload. But I think there was a clause in that. The fact is once they reach Florida they would register themselves as Republican and not a democrat. And pass themselves off like white Americans. Besides, what the hell do they know about Republican, Democrat or independents in Cuba? The more the Cubans came in the more the Puerto Ricans the African-Americans moved away. But not all of us, some of us are still here and looking at what is happening in the state of Florida. Florida is still a state in the United States of America and I don’t care where you are bringing all the refugees from. This is the United States of America make no mistake about it. As I look around in my neighborhood I see all these new medical clinics that are popping up everywhere. And guess who is driving the van and working in the office? Those refugees who don’t speak a word of English. They are scamming the government for government assistance to build these new facilities, so that the refugees can buy their big fancy houses and everything else that they need. In the past years we have all local doctors offices but enough for the people. But now it’s too many of these facilities on every corner you look in in every city. That’s the perfect way of getting the government money to work for those refugees, making them rich and pushing out all the other Americans that were here first. Another example is they are building so many apartment complexes and housing down south we’ve never seen that in the past and yes I know people are moving here to Florida. But just the other day a friend of mine who is African-American went to put in an application in one of those new apartments. The people rejected her she felt that - that was some kind of discrimination because they only want a certain kind of people in those new apartment units. Some said we did good because of Covid, every line that was started in the state of Florida had Spanish people in it. the reason being all of them are crammed up in one unit together trying to make it.
