If you’re one of the millions of Americans worried about your pocketbooks and the general cost of living, you might have picked up on some good news recently: Inflation has really been cooling off this summer, as long-sticky (and long-lamented) food and energy prices continue to moderate. Some economic indicators remain stubborn, however—and they aren’t likely to abate anytime in the near future, no matter how long the Federal Reserve keeps interest rates high, what tweaks President Joe Biden makes to his trade policy, whether corporations decide themselves to slash prices on certain products, or whether Covid-battered supply chains finally get some long-needed fixes.
Other, grimmer recent headlines help to explain why. Hard rains from a tropical disruption in the Gulf have been battering Florida’s southern regions for days, leading to a rare flash-flood emergency. Another batch of storms is swirling near Texas at the moment and could form into a tropical depression, according to forecasts from the National Hurricane Center. Even if both states end up missing bigger storms now, it’s likely only a matter of time before they’re threatened again: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts that the United States will see its worst hurricane season in decades this summer.
Meanwhile, the heat waves that have enveloped Phoenix are intensifying to the point that some analysts are deeming its latest conditions “a Hurricane Katrina of heat.” Spanning outward, the Midwest and Northeast are projected to get their own extreme heat warnings as early as next week, with energy demand set to skyrocket as people turn on their air conditioners. The country has already seen 11 “billion-dollar disasters” this year, including the tornadoes that slammed Iowa just weeks ago. Meanwhile, the already strapped Federal Emergency Management Agency faces a budgetary crisis, and sales of catastrophe bonds are at an all-time high.
Now, let’s look back at the inflation readings. One of the categories remaining stubbornly high while other indicators shrink? Shelter and housing, natch, as rents and insurance stay hot—and still-elevated interest rates make construction and mortgage costs even more prohibitive. On the energy front, motor fuel may be cheapening, but fuel and electricity for home use are still pricey. Auto insurance remains a driving outlier, as I noted back in April, not least because of insurers hiking premiums for cars in especially disaster-vulnerable regions—like the South, the Southwest, and the coasts.
Look at what else is happening in those very regions when it comes to home insurance: Providers are either retreating from or dramatically heightening their prices in states like California, Texas, Florida, and New Jersey, thanks to their unique susceptibility to climate change. These states have seen supercharged extreme weather events like floods, rain bombs, heat waves, and droughts. National lawmakers fear that the insurance crises there may ultimately wreak havoc on the broader real estate sector—but that’s not the only worst-case scenario they have to worry about.
Agricultural yields for important commodities produced in those states (fruits, nuts, corn, sugar, veggies, wheat) are withering, thanks to punishing heat and soil-nutrition depletion. The supply chains through which these products usually travel are thrown off course at varying points, by storms that disrupt land and sea transportation. Preparation for these varying externalities requires supply-chain middlemen and product sellers to anticipate consequential cost increases down the line—and implement them sooner than later, in order to cover their margins.
You may have noticed some clear standouts among the contributors to May’s inflation: juices and frozen drinks (19.5 percent), along with sugar and related substitutes (6.4 percent). It’s probably not a coincidence that Florida, a significant producer of both oranges and sugar, has seen extensive damage to those exports thanks to extreme weather patterns caused by climate change as well as invasive crop diseases. Economists expect that orange juice prices will stay elevated during this hot, rainy summer.
(Incidentally, climate effects may also be influencing the current trajectory and spread of bird flu across American livestock—and you already know what that means for meat and milk prices.)
It goes beyond groceries, though. It applies to every basic building block of modern life: labor, immigration, travel, and materials for homebuilding, transportation, power generation, and necessary appliances. Climate effects have been disrupting and raising the prices of timber, copper, and rubber; even chocolate prices were skyrocketing not long ago, thanks to climate change impacts on African cocoa bean crops. The outdoor workers supplying such necessities are experiencing adverse health impacts from the brutal weather, and the recent record-breaking influxes of migrants from vulnerable countries—which, overall, have been good for the U.S. economy—are in part a response to climate damages in their home nations.
The climate price hikes show up in other ways as well. There’s a lot of housing near the coasts, in the Gulf regions and Northeast specifically; Americans love their beaches and their big houses. Turns out, even with generous (very generous) monetary backstops from the federal government, it’s expensive to build such elaborate manors and keep having to rebuild them when increasingly intense and frequent storms hit—which is why private insurers don’t want to keep having to deal with that anymore, and the costs are handed off to taxpayers.
When all the economic indicators that take highest priority in Americans’ heads are in such volatile motion thanks to climate change, it may be time to reconsider how traditional economics work and how we perceive their effects. It’s no longer a time when extreme weather was rarer and more predictable; its force and reasoning aren’t beyond our capacity to aptly monitor, but they’re certainly more difficult to track. You can’t stretch out the easiest economic model to fix that. And you can’t keep ignoring the clear links between our current weather hellscape, climate change, and our everyday goods.
Thankfully, some actors are finally, belatedly taking a new approach. The reinsurance company Swiss Re has acknowledged that its industry fails to aptly factor disaster and climate risks into its calculations, and is working to overhaul its equations. Advances in artificial intelligence, energy-intensive though they may be, are helping to improve extreme-weather predictions and risk forecasts. At the state level, insurers are pushing back against local policies that bafflingly forbid them from pricing climate risks into their models, and Florida has new legislation requiring more transparency in the housing market around regional flooding histories. New York legislators are attempting to ban insurers from backstopping the very fossil-fuel industry that’s contributed to so much of their ongoing crisis.
After all, we’re no longer in a world where climate change affects the economy, or where voters prioritizing economic or inflationary concerns are responding to something distinct from climate change—we’re in a world where climate change is the economy.

Mick/Nico corporate AU pre-slash that has not left my brain for two weeks!
There’s chair scraping and handshaking and seat switching while everyone finds a spot at the table. Events staff rented out the restaurant, but there’s still hardly enough space. It’s all of upper management and Mick, who is technically upper management now. Seb pulls out his chair next to Mick and tucks his serviette into the collar of his shirt, because no one can bear to tell him it’s not actually a classy move. Lewis, on Seb’s other side, smiles fondly. Later, they’ll hold hands under the table and everyone will pretend they can’t see it. The employee fraternization policy is nothing short of draconian, and Toto has been wielding it tyrannically ever since the incident in 2016.
Dinner is fine. The chicken is tender if bland, and everyone makes jealous eyes at Lewis’s stuffed mushroom when it comes out. The email George forwarded everyone said absolutely no work talk, but everyone’s talking about work because it’s most of the things they have in common. Mick does get in a few ranching stories from when he managed to get out west and visit his mother. Everyone laughs at the part where Angie jumped into Mick’s arms, terrified by the wild horses.
During the pause between dinner and dessert, Mick excuses himself to visit the bathroom. Daniel cracks a joke about cocaine that was obviously informed by American movies. George blushes, but Max, the terrifying attorney Toto poached, cackles throatily. Mick waves the whole thing off and vacates his seat quietly.
At the bathrooms, Mick makes a sharp left and slips open the sliding doors to the terrace. He’s halfway across and sucking in the fresh air before he notices that the terrace is already occupied. The back of a deep green jacket indicates that Mick should hightail it off of the balcony immediately.
Nico Rosberg is the Director of Global Affairs, Lewis’s ex-husband and one half of the incident in 2016. When he turns around to raise an eyebrow at Mick, Mick half expects to see a cigarette hanging from his lips, spilling smoke across the skyline. He’s heard Nico is a health nut, though. He’s heard lots of things about Nico.
“I think this place is big enough for two,” says Nico, glancing around the terrace. “I can’t blame you if you need a breather. No one likes these things.”
Mick doesn’t tell him that Seb and Lewis seem to be enjoying themselves just fine. He finds a spot on the terrace a safe distance away from Nico and takes in the view from the 43rd floor.
“It’s a nice thing, getting everyone together,” says Mick. It’s probably the altitude making his head spin.
“It’s cruel,” says Nico. “We get to pretend that we’re all friends because we can make polite conversation between courses for three hours. With alcohol.”
“It can’t be that bad.” Mick chances a glance at Nico. He isn’t looking at Mick, just gazing across the horizon at the harbour, barely visible in the gap between highrises. “Where were you last week, Ibiza?”
Nico scoffs. “Shut in the office on phone calls all day. I would rather stay in one place, I think, then travel to different glass boxes all over the world. And I hate hotels.”
“I guess it’s nice to be home,” says Mick. Seb’s realtor hooked him up with a condo in the city where he has all his stuff, but home is Gland and Texas, really. He’s heard that the incident in 2016 took place in a hotel room, which might be what Nico’s getting at. He’s also heard that it happened in Lewis’s apartment, in Nico’s family home and in Toto’s office in front of the entire floor. A lot of people have a lot of things to say about what happened, except for Lewis and Nico, and Seb, out of respect for Lewis.
“Home,” says Nico, bitterly. “Where’s that, anyway.”

Our Organizing Wins in 2023
Over the past year, EWOC had its busiest year yet with some truly extraordinary organizing wins. These include EWOC’s direct support in 14 successful union recognition wins and 15 more workplaces currently in a union drive. We’ve also connected 65 workplace campaigns and represented more than 7,000 workers to outside unions.
Growth in 2023
EWOC has also supported workers in
Taking one form of collective action at 447 workplaces
Winning demands at 47 pre-union workplaces
Marching on the boss at 17 workplaces
Striking at two workplaces
EWOC accomplished these wins by mobilizing our volunteers in 2023
200 EWOC volunteer organizers supported worker organizers
67 EWOC volunteers made worker intake calls, guaranteeing that every worker who reached out to us received a call within 48 hours
75 EWOC volunteers took on the role of support organizers. These are typically organizers with decades of experience, who mentor younger organizers working on EWOC campaigns.
Our 2023 Campaigns
These are some of the incredible stories from campaigns in 2023.
Residents at Beth-Israel Deaconess hospital in Boston ran a petition campaign with support from EWOC volunteers. That campaign garnered a supermajority of signatures in less than a week, and management conceded to the overwhelming pressure. They won a $10,000-per-year housing stipend and additional benefits for the 700 residents on staff.
Twenty-six workers at a Juiceland warehouse in Austin, Texas, won a $2-per-hour pay increase after marching on their boss.
Workers at The Basement, an escape room in Los Angeles, worked with EWOC volunteers to learn the foundations of organizing. They then went on to work with Actors Equity and become the first unionized escape room in the U.S.
In New York City, workers at Hex&Co., a gaming cafe, worked with EWOC volunteers for more than a year to develop organizing skills before connecting with a union. Their successful union drive with Workers United sparked a wave of game store union organizing across New York City. Two more stores have since announced union drives.
In Princeton, New Jersey, 19 workers at Labyrinth Books, an independent bookstore, are unionizing with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) after working with EWOC for over a year to develop their organizing skills.
Workers at Barboncino in Brooklyn worked with EWOC volunteers one-on-one over the course of many months. They learned and applied their organizing skills to become the first unionized pizzeria in New York City. Leaders from this campaign have even become organizing volunteers with EWOC. They use their experience and skills to support other service workers interested in organizing across the city.
2023 Special Events
In addition to EWOC’s organizing support, we had a record year of training. About 480 workers participated in our foundational training program. This four-week program runs six times a year at no cost to participants. We also put on two “Train the Trainers” events, growing from 10 to 55 foundational program facilitators. This has greatly helped expand our capacity to support workers interested in our training.
In 2023, EWOC launched a fellowship program designed as a follow-up to the foundational training, specifically for workers engaged in ongoing workplace campaigns. Participants were invited to apply with their co-workers. We welcomed 49 participants split into four cohort sessions, each lasting six weeks.
EWOC also put on a number of events in 2023. We discussed many labor topics, including salting, corporate research and power mapping, the Cemex decision, and organizing in remote workplaces. Jane MacAlevey joined EWOC for training on winning a first contract, and members of UAWD and TDU came to speak about the power of strikes and contract campaigns. Adam Conover attended an EWOC volunteer call and gave us a shout-out on his show.
In 2023, EWOC released a 26-part video series entitled “Unionizing 101.” These short videos were designed to make unionizing accessible and fun. They broke down core organizing questions like leader identification, power mapping, and more! These videos have more than 6,000 views on YouTube alone.

Shawn Michaels vs Stone Cold Steve Austin pt 2
So before I begin I must give my apologies if you were waiting on this as I've been backed up with other projects. Next I wanna give all proper credit to Wrestling Bios on YouTube, his reliving the war series made this a whole lot easier instead of having to look up various different resources to put this series together, and if you arent subscribed to his channel you can click this link here!
he reviews classic games like No Mercy, WCW/NWO Revenge, WWF Attitude and Warzone if youre nostalgic for those games. if not here we are!
So the next night on Raw after No Way Out of Texas, DX were said to be pursuing legal advice following their loss to Steve's team. The broadcast airs a vignette with Chyna and its showcasing her achievements so far...and ends with her receiving a Stone Cold Stunner at the previous nights PPV. They aren't on the show tonight..but that stunner was pretty damn funny still.
The following week on Raw, DX cut a promo from Shawn's house. Triple H mentioned that the only way for Raw to raise its rating was for them to come to Shawns house, and if they get ratings from chaos then the next 4 weeks are about to set the nielsen rating books on fire. Shawn says Owen, Steve, and Mike Tyson are due to be on Raw the next week in Cleveland and that would be a great place to start raising hell and so the best place to end it is at...YOU GUESSED IT....WRESTLEMANIA. Shawn not only confirms but guarantees the match with Steve at Mania. Triple H says to the camera that from here on out, Wrestlemania is going to be X Rated...(of course they changed it to DX rated).
The next week on RAW opens up with DX, and Triple H says "The road to Wrestlemania Begins tonight, Wrestlemania is X Raided (Rated whatever), Parents need to get their childrens permission because discretion is advised, but will be completely ignored." When Shawn takes the mic, he says DX are going to make Tyson an offer he cant refuse, and should he refuse he wont ever forget DX and thats a promise (his words not mine). He then says Steve is going to face the Showstopper, The Icon, The Main Event (you know that 97 Shawn Michaels spiel) and hes going to show that the toughest S.O.B in the WWF isn't tough enough to deal with the Heartbreak Kid. Shawn tells Steve to put on his dancing shoes because hes going to taste some Sweet Chin Music tonight..and of course Steve makes his way down to the ring and right before he gets a chance to square up with Shawn the lights go out and Kane makes his way down while Shawn and DX manage to escape...of course Steve is pissed. A lil later Tyson arrives with Shane McMahon.
Later on in the night Tyson comes down to the ring with Vince and the pre-Corporation keep in mind the crowd is booing. In the ring, Vince asks Tyson if hes going to be the enforcer or is Austin going to enforce his own rules..all questions will be answered at Wrestlemania and the crowd boos even louder (I dont blame them i wouldve booed McMahon too. Right when Mike is about to speak DX music hits and they come down to the ring. Shawn snatches the mic from Vince and says his name isnt Steve Austin and DX isnt here to disrespect Tyson as thats not their style. But they will call people out face to face. Shawn says to Tyson he should make no mistake hes looking at the WWF champ and the champ is calling him out right here right now..BOYYYYY (Yeah he really called him boy, not sure in what context but moving on) After agreeing to a throwdown, Shawn clears the ring out. Tyson dares Shawn to hit him and after a little suspense building Shawn rips his WWF Attitude shirt off to reveal a DX shirt and the crowd goes WILD.
They really werent feeling this until he was revealed i thought that was insane as a kid but getting older and seeing celebrities come in and out of the WWE. I realized why just didnt know it was going on back in 1998. But regardless, still this was great. Just this shot alone.
Before he gets in his car to leave the arena, Tyson is being hounded by Michael Cole with Cole asking Tyson about what just happened and MIke says that Stone Cold is going to get knocked out cold at Wrestlemania, he shuts the door and drives off. At the end of the night Steve was scheduled to go against Kane. While making his way down to the ring he notices Triple H standing on the stage so of course he goes after him, Shawn comes from behind out of nowhere with a Sweet Chin Music as soon as Steve turns around.
One thing I want to mention about the March 2nd episode of Raw. This was the night the scratch logo officialy made its way into the stage display, going from the simplistic curtain and titantron combo to now having an arch like structure with the logo situated right in the back...ahhh good times. This version of the logo was prototype as hell and it makes me cringe especially when you see they had a more proper version of the logo in the scaffolding on the sides of the stage, but its still history nonetheless.
The following week on the March 9th episode of Raw. Triple H comes out with Chyna and once again reminds the crowd that Wrestlemania is going to be X Raided (Rated). Talks about how Chyna got into Owens head last week and this week, she might get physical if she wanted to, he then tells the crowd Shawn isnt there and of course they boo. After cutting to a replay of last weeks Superkick to Austin, Shawn is shown in a diner. He says thst Tyson joining DX changes everything at Wrestlemania. He then says whats even sweeter than that is the fact that Shawn said last week Steve is going to taste Sweet Chin Music, he proved Steve is just like everyone who steps up to HBK. He gets dead serious when he says the old line "HBK doesnt lay down for anybody and hes certainly not going to lay down for Steve at Wrestlemania. Steve is nothing more than a fad when HBK will always be IN in the WWF... (hmm yeah we'll see about that sir). Shawn is going to knock him down and drag him out and he's going to walk out of Wrestlemania the WWF champion..and Triple H says if youre not down with that then they've got TWO WORDS FOR YA!!!! Before taking a seat at the commentary table right before Owens match.
And it seems someone who had two words for Triple H..
Annnnnd of course during Owens match with Barry Windham (Bray Wyatts namesake), Chyna gets involved and causes the DQ.
Would ya look at that face, she really put her all into that low blow didnt she?
At the end of the night Raw airs an interview with J.R and Tyson.
Mike says he is excited to be working in the WWF, but he was skeptical on how he would be received..looking back on the episode when he joined DX, he wasn't wrong but the reveal must've lead to a pleasant surprise to him with him being cheered on. J.R asks him how he feels about Austin shoving him the night after the Royal Rumble. He admits Austin pissed him off but he cant wait to get his hands on him at Wrestlemania. Jim asks him abotu his role in DX and warns that Triple H and Shawn use people to get ahead and Tyson said pretty straightforward that every body is using everybody including the guy giving the interview. Last words of the interview pertain to whether or not he will be a fair ref and Mike says life hasnt been fair to him and he ended it with "fair is winning". Its like I get where he was going but that shit went completely left. Im sure Mike knew it didnt make sense but look at that face, does it look like he cares? As long as the checks are cleared, he's good.
Now on to the main event of the night.. Triple H vs Savio Vega. Now because Austin made his threats security are heavy out there and mere fucking seconds after the bell rings...
Shoved the ref and head of security..with his old ass...WHATS THE POINT OF ELDERLY HEADS OF SECURITY BACK IN THE DAYS..(DOUG DILLINGER IM LOOKING RIGHT AT YOU). But back to the match..... STUNNERS FOR EVERYONE... and by everyone I mean Savio
And after laying almost everybody out he turns around into a big surprise...
And down goes Austin....
And Shawn almost went down too
Keep in mind his back was out of commission at this time and he wasn't supposed to be getting physical..but like the team player he is.. he plays it off even though you can see it in his face.
Now this night Raw pulls one of Nitros signatures and leaves the crowd on a cliffhanger when DX has Austin prepped up for the chair shot...they go off the air...not kidding check it out.
They literally went off the air right when Shawn cocked back for the swing LOL.
Next week on Raw sees a lot of hype videos since Wrestlemania is officially two weeks away. The first hype video is of course of Shawn, Michael Cole is jocking for position on Shawns...nevermind... hes giving him his flowers saying why hes synonymous with Wrestlemania, the glitz, the glamour, the pomp and pagentry...sounds like someone describing British traditional ceremonies (not a shot, I rock with the Brits...seriously lets party)
A very glitzy and glamourous man indeed...
We have a promo segment with Vince McMahon and Kevin Kelly (Yes Kevin Kelly from New Japan for all the younger wrestling fans). Vince starts off by saying his in ring meeting with Steve was unfortunate and unprofessional. They show a replay when Steve flips Vince off and Mr. McMahon says he didnt appreciate that and this was again very unprofessional. Vince then says it was Austin that was stunned when Shawn brought out Mike Tyson to join DX. A clip shows Austin offering Vince a free shot that he refused to take. Vince said Austin wouldve had a broken jaw if he took it. Another clip shows Austin kicking Vince out of the ring and Vince said he obliged because it wouldnt look good to see the boss drop Steve's punk ass...no he didnt say the punk ass part but he did let his "grapefruits" hang on this night..everyone including Jerry Lawler found it hilarious. One question remains unanswered and its if Mcmahon wants to see Steve as WWF champ.. and its not just a simple "no" its a "OH HELL NO!!'
Vince was definitely breaking out of his shell as an on screen character isnt he? ...cant wait to cover the feud between him and Austin.
Anywho...afterwards they show a Steve Austin hype package.
DX havent really been featured tonight but while Owen was on commentary, Triple H comes down unannounced.
A pissed off Helmsley comes down talking mad trash and gets in his face calling him less than a man for stealing the European championship. He says he wants a match tonight for the belt.
Owen tells Triple H to wait until Mania so to get under Owens skin and make sure he gets his wish, he mushes Owen in the face.
If "I'm going to kick this guys fuckin ass" was a facial expression this would definitely be it.
They begin to brawl. And since theres a referee on hand, it seems as if we have a title match boys and girls! While brawling, Triple H gets thrown into the steps, once they get in the ring, the bell rings. After the match starts they spill back to the outside and this time Owen gets thrown in to the ringpost. Triple H causes a distraction looking like a medieval wench..
Was I wrong? (best jokes in the comments)
But Chyna comes from behind with a baseball bat and smacks Owens injured leg. Once Owen is rolled back into the ring, Triple H puts him in a submission hold and the referee calls for the bell.
Triple H won his title back and tells Owen hes going to send him back to Calgary in a wheelchair if he shows up to Wrestlemania. He then says he has two words for him..
Next up...the go home show before Wrestlemania!
I'm going to end this here because I guess I went overboard with the imagery and I wont have the necessary room to add any more images with my description of next week so I will talk about the next episode soon after I make this upload. Stay Tuned and thank you again for coming back.

This ALSO includes the one where a woman sued McDonald's for the coffee burning her. It was actually extremely fucked up. This woman was 79 years old btw.
The coffee was not just “hot,” but dangerously hot. McDonald’s corporate policy was to serve it at a temperature that could cause serious burns in seconds. Mrs. Liebeck’s injuries were far from frivolous. She was wearing sweatpants that absorbed the coffee and kept it against her skin. She suffered third-degree burns (the most serious kind) and required skin grafts on her inner thighs and elsewhere.
Liebeck’s case was far from an isolated event. McDonald’s had received more than 700 previous reports of injury from its coffee, including reports of third-degree burns, and had paid settlements in some cases.
Mrs. Liebeck offered to settle the case for $20,000 to cover her medical expenses and lost income. But McDonald’s never offered more than $800, so the case went to trial. The jury found Mrs. Liebeck to be partially at fault for her injuries, reducing the compensation for her injuries accordingly. But the jury’s punitive damages award made headlines — upset by McDonald’s unwillingness to correct a policy despite hundreds of people suffering injuries, they awarded Liebeck the equivalent of two days’ worth of revenue from coffee sales for the restaurant chain. That wasn’t, however, the end of it. The original punitive damage award was ultimately reduced by more than 80 percent by the judge. And, to avoid what likely would have been years of appeals, Mrs. Liebeck and McDonald’s later reached a confidential settlement.
[...]
Here is some of the evidence the jury heard during the trial:
McDonald’s operations manual required the franchisee to hold its coffee at 180 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
Coffee at that temperature, if spilled, causes third-degree burns in three to seven seconds.
The chairman of the department of mechanical engineering and biomechanical engineering at the University of Texas testified that this risk of harm is unacceptable, as did a widely recognized expert on burns, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Burn Care and Rehabilitation, the leading scholarly publication in the specialty.
McDonald’s admitted it had known about the risk of serious burns from its scalding hot coffee for more than 10 years. The risk had repeatedly been brought to its attention through numerous other claims and suits.
An expert witness for the company testified that the number of burns was insignificant compared to the billions of cups of coffee the company served each year.
At least one juror later told the Wall Street Journal she thought the company wasn’t taking the injuries seriously. To the corporate restaurant giant those 700 injury cases caused by hot coffee seemed relatively rare compared to the millions of cups of coffee served. But, the juror noted, “there was a person behind every number and I don’t think the corporation was attaching enough importance to that.”
McDonald’s quality assurance manager testified that McDonald’s coffee, at the temperature at which it was poured into Styrofoam cups, was not fit for consumption because it would burn the mouth and throat.
McDonald’s admitted at trial that consumers were unaware of the extent of the risk of serious burns from spilled coffee served at McDonald’s then-required temperature.
McDonald’s admitted it did not warn customers of the nature and extent of this risk and could offer no explanation as to why it did not."
Excerpts from this article
Fun fact: anytime you hear a story that boils down to “and then some ABSOLUTE FOOL sued this totally innocent megacorporation for assloads of money AND WON! Can you believe it? Ridiculous. Some people, right?” 99 times out of 100, the corporation super fucked up, the plaintiff 100% deserved that money,.and you’ve just been fed corporate propaganda.

“Event Planning Essentials: The Importance of Quality Restroom Facilities”
Introduction
When planning an event, whether it’s a wedding, festival, corporate gathering, or construction site setup, one critical aspect often overlooked is restroom facilities. The comfort and convenience of attendees hinge on the availability and quality of these facilities. From standard porta potties to luxury restroom trailers, the options can be vast and varied. In this guide, we will delve into the essentials of event planning with a special focus on why quality restroom facilities are vital for any gathering.
Event Planning Essentials: The Importance of Quality Restroom Facilities
Quality restroom facilities can significantly https://sanantoniotxportapottieswithsinks78676.weebly.com/blog/air-conditioned-portable-bathrooms-the-comfort-you-deserve-in-texas-heat influence the overall satisfaction of your guests. Imagine hosting a beautiful outdoor wedding or festival where guests are forced to wait in long lines for inadequate restroom facilities. This scenario can tarnish even the most meticulously planned events.
Understanding Your Audience Needs
Before choosing restroom facilities, it’s essential to understand the demographics of your audience:
Age Groups: Younger audiences might prefer more basic options, while older attendees may appreciate accessible features. Event Type: A corporate event might call for more luxurious options like luxury portable restrooms, whereas a local festival could manage well with standard porta potties. Duration of Event: Longer events require more amenities to keep guests comfortable.
By understanding these needs, you can make informed decisions about which types of restrooms to provide.
Types of Restroom Facilities
There are various types of restroom facilities available for rental:
Standard Porta Potties
These are economical and suitable for most events where basic amenities are sufficient.
Luxury Porta Potty Rentals
Ideal for upscale events like weddings or corporate functions. They offer enhanced cleanliness and comfort features.
ADA Compliant Porta Potties San Antonio TX
Ensuring accessibility is crucial for inclusivity at your event.
Flushable Porta Potty San Antonio TX

Factors Influencing Your Choice
When selecting restroom facilities for your event, consider:
Location & Accessibility: Ensure that restrooms are easily accessible to all guests. Guest Capacity: The number of attendees dictates how many units you’ll need. Duration & Timing: For longer events or festivals, ensure that there’s ample supply to avoid long waits. Budget Constraints: Understand the cost implications; prices vary widely based on type and amenities offered.

These days and almost every day across Texas and across the world, event planners are tasked with something nearing the impossible. They must bring perfection to their clients. They must juggle multiple tasks, locations, employees and scheduling and all at once. It’s a wonder anyone can juggle this many responsibilities, but you may be surprised to learn how event planners use portable storage containers in their day-to-day activities to get the job done. The Logistical Nightmare Turns into a Logistical Dream If you’re an event planner you know firsthand how challenging it can be to manage the logistics for an event. From corporate conferences to weddings and private parties, it can quickly get out of hand. This is why more and more event planners are realizing just how instrumental a storage container can be. To start with, event planning is all about organization and storage containers are ideal for the cause. Event planners are often tasked with mobilizing an army of materials and decorations as well as AV equipment, furniture, signage and more. Portable storage units allow planners to coordinate and organize before and after an event. A place for everything, and everything in its place. The setup and teardown phases are also very important because this involves transportation to and from the event. It’s just so much easier with portable storage containers. What used to take multiple trips can now be streamlined and done in one go. Storage containers also serve planners and employees while on-site. They are especially useful for storing items or materials that don’t have to be set up immediately or are reserved for later or towards the end of the event. This means reduced clutter and a more efficient presentation of those items and materials. Sometimes outdoor event dates are cemented months in advance. This means that weather could become a very real issue as that date comes around. Storage containers are obviously designed to protect items and materials from the elements, whether it’s rain, wind or extreme heat. Our storage containers also come with secure locking mechanisms. This means that event planners can work with peace of mind as they go about the workday knowing that their items and equipment will be safe. This is also true if the storage containers are left on-site overnight before or after the event. There’s also the matter of customizable sizes and flexibility. Our portable storage containers are available in a variety of sizes. This means that event planners can pick and choose according to their specific needs. Whether the event is big or small, a storage solution can be tailored to accommodate the event. Portable Storage Containers are a Win-Win for Event Planners If you’re an event planner and you’re looking for flexibility and convenience at a great price, then this is the site for you. Our portable storage containers simplify the job by helping to organize and secure the items and materials that are needed for your event. Are you looking to save time and money on the job? Then today's your lucky day. Let SAM Store and Move show you how to get it done with our wide selection of secure mobile storage units. Contact us for your free, no-hassle quote.
