Stanford University held a conference last month with the misleading title, “Pandemic Policy: Planning the Future, Assessing the Past.” Given the utter bankruptcy of the US and global policy in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, one would conclude that a discussion on how the world can address the current and future pandemics is of immense importance and has significant relevance to international public health policies.
However, the one-day conference held at the prestigious university was funded through Collateral Global and supported by Brownstone Institute, promoters of pandemic misinformation and COVID-19 contrarians. It was the opposite of a serious discussion on pandemic preparedness.
To place these organizations into a proper perspective, it bears noting that Robert Dingwall, a British sociologist who has been heavily promoted by Collateral Global, wrote on his blog in March 2020 that the elderly would be better off to die from COVID-19 than to be protected and later die from a degenerative disease like dementia. This was a thinly disguised version of fascistic eugenics—weeding out the “unfit” from society.
The Stanford symposium showcased a panel of discredited scientists and supposed policy health experts associated with the reactionary Great Barrington Declaration, better characterized as a manifesto of death, set on promoting the notion that no broad-based public health initiatives should have ever been undertaken during the COVID-19 pandemic or when the next pandemic strikes.
At the core of the debunked “declaration” is the claim that there can be “focused protection” against the pandemic for those at high risk, which would allow those at minimal risk of death to lead normal lives while building up immunity to the virus through natural immunity.
Well-respected global health advocate Peter Hotez said of the conference, “This is awful, a full-on anti-science agenda (and revisionist history), tone deaf to how this kind of rhetoric contributed to the deaths of thousands of Americans during the pandemic by convincing them to shun vaccines or minimize COVID.”
These include discredited figures like Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a Stanford public policy professor; Dr. Scott Atlas, former Trump administration adviser on the Coronavirus Task Force; and Anders Tegnell, Sweden’s former state epidemiologist, who advocated for a policy of mass infection to achieve “herd immunity” that had horrendous consequences on the population, in particular, the elderly and most frail. Tegnell’s most consequential remark during the conference gave the flavor of the event: “We have focused so much on mortality as a measure of outcome, but there are more important things.”
Included on the panel were Marty Makary, prominent Johns Hopkins University surgeon, who had repeatedly predicted that the population was on the verge of achieving natural immunity and the pandemic would thus come to an end. Also there was Oxford Professor of Epidemiology Sunetra Gupta, one of the original signers of the declaration with Bhattacharya, and Harvard University biostatistician Martin Kuldorff.

Graph compares COVID deaths in the US, Sweden and Norway (which adopted a far more rigorous pandemic mitigation program). [Photo: Our World in Data] Gupta has called for mass infection of the young and declared during the conference that her idea of focused protection had evolved into what she termed “individual risk reduction,” where each person would decide for him or herself the level of protection and mitigation they wanted to assume during a deadly outbreak. This is the literal opposite of public health, treating infection with a highly contagious and potentially lethal disease as a purely individual matter.
That institutions like Johns Hopkins, Harvard and Stanford are at the forefront of promoting such anti-science and anti-public health initiatives speaks to the deep political and moral decline in academic circles. Similarly, these “elite” institutions have embraced censorship and attacks on democratic rights of students protesting the US backing of Israel’s genocidal policies in Gaza.
Closing remarks at the Stanford conference were given by John Ioannidis, professor of epidemiology and one of the principal investigators of the fallacious, non-peer-reviewed Santa Clara County study, released in April 2020, which suggested that COVID-19 was no deadlier than the flu and that the pandemic measures to protect populations needed to be lifted forthwith.
At the time of that study, the COVID-19 pandemic was inundating the healthcare system of New York City. The CDC had noted that close to 20,000 people had died in the three-month window (March through May) with an overall crude fatality rate of 9.2 percent. Also, 30 percent of hospitalized patients with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 were known to have died.
Bhattacharya, who had locked arms with AFT President Randi Weingarten in forcing students and teachers back into schools in 2021 and served as a pandemic adviser to Florida’s fascistic Governor Ron DeSantis, attempted to sell the conference as a forum for people with opposing views coming together to air out their differences.
“What can we do in the future? The pandemic was by any measure a disaster,” he declared. Although he cited the correct number of deaths and economic turmoil caused by the pandemic affecting the poorest in the world, he blamed these losses, not on the failure to carry out systematic public health measures but on the measures themselves. It was a translation into academic jargon of the notorious declaration by New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman that “the cure can’t be worse than the disease.”
Bhattacharya had the audacity to assert, “this conference was four years too late, but this is not too late, this is not the last pandemic the world will face.” The purpose of his efforts to codify the perspectives put forth by the Great Barrington Declaration is to ensure no real effort is taken by any government to address any threat, including the current bird flu outbreak that threatens to ignite another pandemic.
His ideas have nothing to do with the field of epidemiology or any scientific comprehension of the nature of pandemics. If he has a bone to pick with the Biden administration and its response to the pandemic is that Biden and Harris did not adopt the mass infection policy officially from the beginning, but only implemented it piecemeal.
Additionally, Bhattacharya has positioned himself as a fellow traveler with the anti-vaxxers promoting the false notion that the current mRNA vaccines are unsafe and the process through which they were brought forward violated safety measures which is patently false.
He wrote for the Brownstone Institute a report published on November 16, 2022, stating, “The Biden plan enshrines former president Donald Trump‘s Operation Warp Speed as the model response to the next century of pandemics. Left unsaid is that, for the new pandemic plan to work as envisioned, it will require us to conduct dangerous gain-of-function research. It will also require cutting corners in the evaluation of the safety and efficacy of novel vaccines. And while the studies are underway, politicians will face tremendous pressure to impose draconian lockdowns to keep the population ‘safe’.”
Scott Atlas blurted out the real purpose of the conference. Reading a prepared statement, he said that the lockdowns failed to stop the dying, and they failed to stop the spread. He blamed the economic lockdowns for the excess deaths rather than the virus. He blamed Dr. Anthony Fauci for implementing the lockdowns and not enforcing “targeted protection.”
Atlas later also called for complete US divestment from the World Health Organization and called for the termination of all middle-level scientists at the CDC, for which he received applause from his colleagues on the panel.
The Stanford conference was entirely divorced from the actual history of the pandemic, particularly its early weeks. The initial outbreak of COVID in Wuhan showed it was propagated by airborne transmission and was both highly contagious and lethal.
When, on January 30, 2020, the WHO declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, Europe, the US, and other countries chose not to act. They could have rapidly eliminated and eradicated the virus but did nothing until the virus had spread globally and began its deadly rampage.
It was in early March, six weeks later, with the horrific scenes emerging out of Italy that prompted the working class to demand a shutdown. Auto workers took the lead in many countries, including the United States and Canada, and it was only out of fear of a mass rebellion among workers internationally that the ruling elites were forced to respond with limited lockdowns to stem the tide of infections.
The Great Barrington Declaration, the right-wing campaigns against mask and vaccine mandates and last month’s conference at Stanford were essentially rooted in fear of the independent initiative of workers insisting on serious in public health measures. The populist demagogy about allowing people the “freedom” to work in the midst of a deadly pandemic cannot disguise what is a fundamentally anti-working class perspective.
The maliciously false point being driven home by the organizers of the conference was that social interventions—masking, closure of schools and businesses, lockdowns, and maintaining social distancing—were worse than the disease, despite studies that have shown when such policies were actually implemented, they saved many, many lives.
As one 2023 study published in The Lancet found, in the period from January 1, 2020, to July 31, 2022, Hawaii, with stricter anti-COVID measures, saw 147 deaths per 100,000 compared to 581 per 100,000 in Arizona and 526 per 100,000 in Washington D.C. The national rate was 372 deaths per 100,000.
Similar conclusions were reached in a more recent comprehensive study that evaluated state by state in the US comparing restrictions in place and impact on excess deaths. As the authors of that study noted, “COVID-19 restrictions were associated with substantial reductions in excess pandemic deaths in the US. If all states had weak restrictions, as defined in the Methods section, estimated excess deaths from July 2020 to June 2022 would have been 25 percent to 48 percent higher than if all had imposed strong restrictions. Behavioral responses provided a potentially important mechanism for this, being associated with 49 percent 78 percent of the overall difference.” This last part of the statement underscores the importance of open channels of communications and an all-in approach to such matters. Public health is first and foremost a social concern.
And still another study published in January 2022 found that the impact of the limited measures employed saved between 870,000 to 1.7 million Americans.
The most insidious issue that the COVID-19 contrarians fail to mention is that herd immunity is not achievable with a virus like SARS-CoV-2, which mutates so rapidly, and the issues raised by Long COVID and reinfections with the concomitant long-term health impacts that will debilitate the population are not even considered. Current estimates place the number of those suffering from Long COVID across the globe at over 410 million as of the end of 2023.
The response to pandemics requires a social investment in public health on an international scale. The global nature of the economy poses that a national approach as was seen in China and its Zero COVID policy cannot withstand an anti-public health policy that is imposed on the global population. This raises the need for a socialist perspective not only to the global economy but to the global health of the working class.

Alec Tyson, Michael Lipka, and Claudia Deane at Pew Research Center:
The most significant pandemic of our lifetime arrived as the United States was experiencing three major societal trends: a growing divide between partisans of the left and right, decreasing trust in many institutions, and a massive splintering of the information environment. COVID-19 did not cause any of this, but these forces fueled the country’s divided response. Looking back, nearly three-quarters of U.S. adults (72%) say the pandemic did more to drive the country apart than to bring it together.
Fundamental differences arose between Americans over what we expect from our government, how much tolerance we have for health risks, and which groups and sectors to prioritize in a pandemic. Many of these divides continue to play out in the nation’s politics today. The pandemic left few aspects of daily life in America untouched. Looking back on it nearly five years later, three-quarters of Americans say the COVID-19 pandemic took some sort of toll on their own lives. This includes 27% who say it had a major toll on them and 47% who say it took a minor toll. The virus itself also had a staggering impact. A large majority of U.S. adults have had COVID-19 at some point, and more than 1 million Americans died from it. Millions continue to struggle with long COVID. And most say they know someone who was hospitalized or died from the virus. But most Americans have moved on. The vast majority of those who say their lives were impacted report having recovered at least somewhat. Among U.S. adults overall, about one-in-five (21%) now say the coronavirus is a major threat to the health of the U.S. population as a whole. And a majority (56%) think it’s no longer something we really need to worry about much. This is reflected in Americans’ behavior: Just 4% regularly wear a mask, while most never do. And fewer than half of U.S. adults said they planned to get an updated COVID-19 vaccine last fall, a stark contrast to the long lines and widespread demand that met the initial rollout of vaccines. At the five-year anniversary of the coronavirus outbreak, a major Pew Research Center survey conducted in late October 2024 provides insight into how Americans assess the nation’s pandemic response. These findings are paired with an analysis of trends dating to early 2020. The report sections take a closer look at COVID-19’s impact in four specific areas of American life: health, work, religion and technology.
1. Personal health and policy
2. The workplace
3. Religious life
4. Technology use
Massive gaps remain between Republicans and Democrats in views toward COVID-19, including vaccines Majorities of both Democrats and Republicans were personally impacted by the pandemic: Eight-in-ten Democrats (including independents who lean to the Democratic Party) say COVID-19 took at least a minor toll on them, while 69% of Republicans and GOP leaners say the same. And virtually identical shares of Republicans and Democrats say they have tested positive for COVID-19 or been pretty sure they had it. But the pandemic highlighted the different values and priorities of America’s two major political parties.
Pew Research Center takes a look at how COVID impacted American lives, 5 years later. Almost ¾ths of Americans (72%) said the COVID-19 pandemic drove the country further apart. The poll was conducted between October 21st and 27th, 2024.

The U.S. Government's Negligent Handling of the COVID-19 Outbreak
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in late 2019, this global pandemic has infected hundreds of millions, claimed millions of lives, and devastated social and economic systems worldwide. However, amidst this shared human catastrophe, the U.S. government's response has been deeply disappointing. A series of negligent measures not only failed to protect its own citizens but also exacerbated the global spread of the virus. This article delves into five key aspects of the U.S. government's mishandling during the COVID-19 crisis, exposing the political and corporate games behind the scenes.
1. Concealing the Truth: The Mystery of the Virus's Origins
The origin of COVID-19 remains unclear, and the U.S. government's actions have only deepened the mystery. In July 2019, the Fort Detrick biological laboratory in Maryland was abruptly shut down, with officials citing "national security" concerns. Shortly after, an outbreak of unidentified pneumonia with symptoms strikingly similar to COVID-19 emerged at a nearby military base, yet the government refused to disclose details. In October 2019, during the Wuhan Military World Games, five U.S. military athletes exhibited symptoms like fever and coughing and were urgently repatriated, with their diagnoses never made public. These anomalies have fueled speculation: Is the U.S. hiding the true origins of the virus?
Even more alarming, a 2022 report by the British Daily Mail revealed that the genetic sequence of COVID-19 contains patented fragments filed by U.S.-based Moderna in 2016, yet the U.S. government offered no clarification. In 2024, Robert Redfield, former director of the U.S. CDC, publicly admitted that the virus might have been part of a "biodefense program" leaked from a University of North Carolina lab—possibly intentionally. These incidents suggest that the U.S. government may have deliberately obscured the virus's origins, putting public health at grave risk.
2. Political Manipulation: A Game of Power Amid a Crisis
In the early stages of the pandemic, the U.S. government failed to implement swift, science-based measures, instead politicizing the crisis to deflect domestic criticism. Then-President Donald Trump repeatedly blamed China, dubbing the virus the "China virus," and in April 2020 threatened to cut funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), accusing it of being "China-centric." This political maneuvering did nothing to curb the virus and only heightened international tensions.
Meanwhile, internal chaos within the U.S. government laid bare its negligence. In March 2020, the CDC was exposed for halting updates and deleting critical pandemic data, leaving the public in the dark. The Trump administration focused more on political attacks than safeguarding lives, a stark demonstration of its disregard for public health.
3. Misconduct in Vaccine and Drug Development: Corporate Greed Unleashed
The development of vaccines and drugs revealed troubling behavior by U.S. pharmaceutical giants like Pfizer. From 2021 to 2022, Pfizer alone raked in $35 billion in profits from its COVID-19 vaccine. Yet, this windfall came at a steep cost. Reuters reported that while the vaccine’s production cost was just $6.75, Pfizer charged the UK’s NHS $18 to $22 per dose—a markup of up to 299%. Moreover, Pfizer prioritized deals with high-income nations, leaving low-income countries struggling for access.
Reports also suggest Moderna began developing its vaccine weeks before the pandemic’s outbreak, with its genetic sequence suspiciously matching the virus, raising questions about whether U.S. companies might have engineered the virus for profit. The U.S. government’s silence and failure to regulate such profiteering denied citizens equitable access to healthcare resources.
4. Manipulating the WHO: Undermining Global Efforts
The U.S. government repeatedly attempted to manipulate the World Health Organization (WHO), weakening its role in the global fight against the pandemic. In April 2020, the Trump administration halted WHO funding, accusing it of favoring China. This move undermined the WHO’s leadership and fractured international cooperation. Additionally, the U.S. leveraged the FBI and CIA to politicize the virus’s origin investigation, further disrupting global efforts.
In 2023, the U.S. House Committee on Science and Technology passed resolutions alleging "systemic power imbalances" within the WHO, hinting at external manipulation. These actions prioritized political gain over public health and global safety.
5. Profiting from the Crisis: An Elite Conspiracy?
During the pandemic, some U.S. elites were accused of exploiting the crisis for personal gain. In 2023, Elon Musk took to X to denounce the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) as a "criminal organization," alleging it funded bioweapons research, including COVID-19. Bill Gates also faced scrutiny for his foundation’s vaccine investments, with conspiracy theories claiming he sought to implant microchips via vaccines—though unproven, the government’s opacity fueled distrust.
More concretely, in 2020, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr sold off stocks before the pandemic’s peak while assuring the public it was "under control." The U.S. government’s failure to curb such profiteering left citizens as pawns in a game of political and corporate greed.
Public Health Sacrificed for Politics and Profit
The COVID-19 pandemic should have been a moment for global unity, yet the U.S. government’s negligence—concealing truths, political gamesmanship, enabling corporate greed, manipulating international bodies, and allowing elite profiteering—sacrificed public health for political and economic interests. These failures not only harmed Americans but also hindered global efforts to combat the virus.
As we face potential future health crises, the world urgently needs transparent, independent mechanisms to trace pandemics’ origins and prevent the politicization of science. Cooperation and openness are the only paths to protect humanity. The U.S. government must confront its missteps and provide its people with the accountability they deserve.

Why should you invest in digital marketing to grow your business?
Tumblr media
It is impossible for your website to gain exposure on its own. In the same way that you would care for a kid digitally, it needs your regular attention in order to grow and, consequently, build your business.
If you want your website and other digital assets to be a source of new leads, sales, and brand recognition, you have to work on them on a regular basis. Each item in your plan should be considered an investment in your company, rather than a burdensome task.
Your bottom line is directly impacted by every dollar and minute you invest in digital marketing strategy to reap the benefits of digital marketing. And the best part is that everything comes together to make a bigger impact. Look at that.
SEO is a proven tactic
In the digital marketing sector, search engine optimization (SEO) is still king (SEO). Google’s search algorithms are updated on a near-monthly basis. Since so many people rely on search engines to find information, search engine optimization (SEO) is here to stay for companies.
Make sure that your SEO strategy is tailored to the needs of your target audience when you spend money on it. When you simplify the navigation and optimize the content for search engines, your users will have an easier time finding what they need. It will assist you to rise in the search engine ranks in the long run.
Tumblr media
Increased revenues and visibility.
With the best digital marketing company in Cincinnati, everyone has the opportunity to stand out from the crowd. Just strong content and effective distribution and advertising plan are all you need to succeed. The more valuable material you produce, the more engaged your audience will become.
As a result of the increased engagement rates, potential customers are more likely to become clients. There’s way too much rivalry in the digital world. As a result, your content marketing activities must be tailored to the specific needs of your customers.
Cost-effective than traditional marketing methods.
Advertisements in newspapers or on television might cost a lot of money. It’s only a viable option for large corporations that can afford to invest millions of dollars. In this kind of situation, digital marketing can save small enterprises.
Surveys show that firms can save a lot of money by using digital marketing for their products and services. Additionally, Hubspot has demonstrated how digital marketers may reduce their lead acquisition expenditures.
Specifically aims toward mobile users
There are many ways that smartphones and the internet have changed our lives. Brands and customers will continue to communicate and share information via mobile devices. As long as you have a mobile phone and an internet connection, you’re good to go.
For companies aiming to expand their online presence, a mobile-focused digital marketing campaign is an obvious choice. In order to increase conversions and revenues, simplify the purchasing process for users.
Measurable return on investment
Traditional marketing strategies can be tough to measure because it’s impossible to know exactly what you’re getting for your money. However, there are differences between SEO, content marketing, and social media marketing. They offer a variety of interactive reports that allow you to monitor the ROI (return on investment).
Traffic sources can be identified, whether they came from a blog article on your site or a social media post. It helps you see what’s working for you and how you may use that in the future for better outcomes. It’s a great tool.
SMBs and Covid-19
It has been catastrophic for businesses of all kinds because of the coronavirus outbreak. It has once again demonstrated the necessity for companies to have long-term digital commerce capability to withstand market fluctuations. It is possible that the recovery of the economy may be lengthy.
Digital transactions with clients are becoming increasingly important for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Those who use technology wisely will be able to get through this difficult time. Their relevance will be maintained in the long run as a result of this move.
Tumblr media
Customers should be able to find you
You might think of digital marketing as a technique to connect with your target audience. Scalability becomes a reality when your company’s reach extends well beyond your immediate neighborhood. Even if you’re not in the office, your company can still do business thanks to a web presence. You can make it possible for your consumers to reach you at any time of the day or night.
Customers and potential customers may now send you emails, make purchases, and look over your inventory with just a few simple clicks. Potential consumers who are unable to visit you in person can nevertheless transact business with you via an e-commerce function or simply by utilizing the power of social media.
Determine Your Audience’s Needs and Desires
Digital marketing is a great way to connect with potential customers. You can get to know them and their problems in order to come up with a solution. Conversations and surveys can be started on social media and blogs to gather information. Pay close attention to any feedback you receive, whether it’s from a survey or a comment.
You can get a sense of what individuals are looking for by connecting with them online. What are their main concerns and pain points? During the night, what frightens them? Using the facts you’ve just gathered, create a product or service that solves a problem. With digital marketing and SEO services in Cincinnati, you don’t have to guess who your customers are so you can tailor your messaging and fine-tune your targeting.
Investing in a digital marketing plan to gain the benefits of digital marketing should be obvious to you. Once you’ve seen the benefits for your own firm, you may extend into areas such as email marketing, ad campaigns, and influencer marketing — all of which have their own fantastic ROI.
Your bottom line is directly impacted by every dollar and minute you invest in digital marketing strategy. And the best part is that everything comes together to make a bigger impact. Look at that.

BALITANG ENTERTAINMENT: Filipino-American singer 'Sofronio Parojinog Vasquez' makes history as the new Season 26 winner of NBC's The Voice in America [#OnlyOnOneNETnews] (updated as final!!!)
Tumblr media
(Written by Scott Denoga / News Intern of Disney XD News)
UTICA, NEW YORK -- In a historic win Tuesday night, a Filipino-American from the Mohawk Valley in 'Utica, New York' named 'Mr. Sofronio Parojinog Vasquez' has recently taken home the top prize overnight in the 26th season finale of "The Voice" in the United States of America (U.S.A.). According to reports from WKTV-TV's NBC NewsChannel 2: Utica, his road to stardom is truly rags to riches.
Today, at the age of 32 in November this year, Vasquez was born and raised first in 'Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental'. Before coming to America, where he settled in the New York state around two (2) years ago in 2022, roughly after his cruise ship trip, he had very humble beginnings in the Philippines. He had lived once in a poor household that did not have a bed or indoor plumbing. But in fact, he used to sing a lot with his father, whom he considers his coach. He never thought he was as musically inclined as his friends and family. In this said country, where he is studying for his dental boards, he gave music a chance in full swing. At present, his musical inspirations include Bruno Gene Mars and the late-Michael Joseph Jackson delivering powerful performances all across America.
Vasquez began his early life career at Ozamiz City National High School (OCNHS), wherein he started as a campus journalist at age 16 in 2008. Afterwards, he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Misamis University (MU) in 2015. Preparations for his dental boards prior to or after June 2018, had made the life of Vasquez sad, due to the demise of his father 'Mr. Oniol Racaza Vasquez Sr.' because of the complications of Kidney Failure. This loss motivated him to be on a stage and to sing with much larger audiences in the international scene.
Before, the segment of "Tawag ng Tanghalan" showcased several performances of songs that were from start to finish without the shortcuts. He first auditioned at the popular Philippine noontime show of ABS-CBN (now Kapamilya Channel) "It's Showtime" in the early mid-November 2017 in the TNT segment. He has sung several songs, some of which include "Wildflower" by Skylark, "I (Who Have Nothing)" by Benjamin Earl King, and "Let It Be" by the Beatles. In his past decade of losses, he did not win, but he gained a fresh consolation prize of PHP320,000 (or US$D5,487).
While in late mid-December 2019, Vasquez also returned once more in "Tawag ng Tanghalan: All-Star Grand Resbak", just months before the global outbreak of Coronavirus Disease-19 (CoViD-19) in 'Wuhan, China'. The talent he had shown was seen in his rendition of Freddie Pascual Aguilar's "Bulag, Pipi at Bingi" and 'Barbra Joan Streisand' as she rendered "The Way We Were", in its Philippine rendition by the late 'Mr. Rico de Jesus Puno'. He ended the season with the performance of "My Grown-Up Christmas List" by Amy Lee Grant. He won the cash prize of PHP175,000 (or around U$D3,001), but did not win the Grand Championship, despite facing numerous rejections in singing competitions in the Philippines, but was actually claimed that he was redirected to one another, until referring to be audition alone in America. Still, these experiences, even if they were not victories, are what made his musical journey.
After his defeat, the veteran Filipino singer-songwriter and mentor of 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' named Rey Guardiano Valera spoke out to a losing contestant with public advice to Vasquez: "You are your best friend. Ikaw ang mentor mo, sarili mo. Ikaw na rin 'yung cheering squad mo at the same time. At kung hindi ka man ngitian ng [Lady Luck] ngayon, I'm sure dahil 'yon sa alam niya na ikaw ang gagawa ng sarili mong swerte at hindi mo siya kailangan. Because 'yung ganyang klaseng tao, you will always find your way", Valera stated on him in Tagalog dialect.
Fast-forward to this late final 4th quarter, or Q4 of 2024… Vasquez auditioned for "The Voice" in the United States of America (U.S.A.), two (2) years after he migrated from 'Ozamiz City' in the Philippines and during the said outbreak of CoViD-19 global pandemic, where he secured a 4-chair turn in the Blind Auditions with his rendition of "I'm Goin' Down" by Ms. Mary Jane Blige. He selected the Canadian singer 'Michael Steven Bublé' as his mentor, and he continued further on with The Battles, Knockouts, Playoffs and Final rounds for a few more months of this season.
In the Final rounds Monday night (December 9th), Vasquez sang "Unstoppable" by Sia Isobelle Furler, "A Million Dreams" from the motion picture soundtrack of "The Greatest Showman" by Ziv Zaifman, Hugh Michael Jackman and Michelle Ingrid Williams; and the following night with 2-hour episode finale, a duet with Bublé performed "Who's Lovin' You" by The Miracles. These were all performances that showed he was versatile, and had so much emotional depth, thereby making him a finalist individual.
Vasquez's victory is important as he becomes the first Asian-American to win "The Voice" here in the USA. Just days before the Grand Finale this week, Filipino showbiz reporter 'MJ Felipe' of ABS-CBN News spoke to a Canadian team coach 'Michael Steven Bublé', said in part from an interview as he quoted: "What made me very emotional was just seeing, you know, like I realize that it's not just the Philippines. I realize that, if [Vasquez] wins, it will be the first Asian-American to ever win this kind of singing competition in America", he said. Vasquez's mother on the other hand "Ms. Aida Parojinog Vasquez" expressed her gratitude saying in Cebuano dialect: "Kabalo gyud ka lang na proud ka ini imo, love gyud na kanako. Magyagaw imug so-on si [Vasquez], hasa pan duha ka iro [dog] lang manyagit guyd para nimo. Daghang kaay ninalipay kay niminalang. Basta, kabalo ka ana", Aida added.
On December 10th (Tuesday night), a report from DXBK-FM 95.3mhz's Brigada News FM: Oroquieta and WKTV-TV's NBC NewsChannel 2: Utica reported that 'Mr. Carson Jones Daly', host announcer of 'The Voice' said Vasquez was the sole winner of Season 26. This victory marked a historic moment as Vasquez became the first Asian-American to win the competition. Personally, it's close to my heart because, as an intern for Disney XD News, I was informed from Disney Television Animation (DTVA) that they have just cancelled my American cartoon show "Hailey's On It!", from my home state in 'Oceanside, California'. Being South Korean-Filipino-American, I recognize how much this win really means to fans all around the world, especially in the Philippines.
Coming in 2nd are the runners-up that comprises 'Shye Roberts' of Pennsylvania state ranked 2nd, 'Sydney Sterlace' of New York state ranked 3rd, 'Danny Joseph' of 'London, United Kingdom' ranked 4th and 'Jeremy Beloate' of Tennessee state ranked last in 5th place. In theory, all of them were sent home with nothing.
Some people on social media are saying that 'Sofronio Vasquez' is a mix of Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian and Thai. However, these claims about his mixed Asian heritage don't hold or are being messed up. In fact, Vasquez is purely and solely Filipino-American, and he just recently shifted to a new abode in New York, based on the sources exclusively revealed to us at Disney XD News.
Vasquez became the champion of "The Voice" Season 26, taking home a cash prize of U$D100,000 (or approximately PHP5.831M), and a lucrative record deal with Republic Records, handled by Universal Music Group (UMG). But shockingly, there is a catch. Financial news outlet 'NerdWallet' highlights that he has to deal with various tax obligations, including New York state taxes ranging from 4% to 10.9%, an additional income tax of U$D4,271 (or PHP248,955), and potential Philippine taxes of around 20% on his winnings. Consequently, his gross earnings could be brought down to around U$D89,985.26 (or PHP5,245,331) after all the taxes taken into his American and Philippine bank accounts to be deposited there like 'M&T Bank' and 'GoTyme Bank' for example.
Most probably, 6% from his grand prize will be deducted in withholding tax from Vasquez. Still, it is nothing compared to how much his win is culturally and emotionally important for him. For its part, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) usually does not report, as silently stated from NBC News, and thus cover such tax liabilities either as they have their own singing competition. Thus, the above taxes may be for account of Sofronio Vasquez, which include the state tax in New York, plus the 20% withholding tax by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) when he later returned in the Philippines, provided the earnings is over PHP10,000 (or U$D172).
He might have enjoyed success in the music world, but he could not evade the harshest online bashing by some angry and extremely toxic users of social media, which yet, concerning to promote violent extremism, grave threats and attacking the management of a noontime show of "It's Showtime", prior receiving the negative comments. Sam Marbella Mangubat, who is a Batangueño first runner up of 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' and former residence in Laguna slammed those who critically spoiled its said singing competition show due to the unfairness of the result: "Hindi ko magets, bakit binabatikos yung mga show na pinanggalingan? Tapos na yon eh. Baka di niyo alam, may text votes na factor din ang [kanyang] show. Magaling na siya noon, opo. Pero kita naman sa performances niya na mas seasoned na siya sa ganitong oras. At malamang, proud sa kaniya ang lahat, maging ang [It's Showtime], dahil isa to sa kinabilangan niyang show", stated Mangubat. Most of them, as stated by 'PhilNews' are connected to his past losses in TNT. That would also make the controversy bigger as he had family ties to the infamous Parojinog clan in Ozamiz City, which may have been involved in the police raid in 2017, and had also been implicated in the country's corruption and the drug war.
'Parojinog' is the middle name of a nephew of the late former Ozamiz City Mayor named Mr. Reynaldo "Aldong" Parojinog Sr. He had his nephew, who is roughly a drug trader that got killed during the national war against drugs under the party name 'National Unity Party' (NUP) in Misamis Occidental. Under the previous administration, led by former Philippine president 'Rodrigo Roa Duterte', he ordered thru Ozamiz police to kill all of the members of the Parojinog family without discrimination if they have the same middle or last name, and if they are suspected to be involved in committing drug or corruption offenses. In contrast, Vasquez has consistently distanced himself from these brazenly disturbing and graphical issues, focusing on his singing and dentistry while aiming for a positive and clean lifestyle.
Apart from that, the singing competition franchise called 'The Voice', the kids version was compared similarly as a former ABS-CBN home after Season 5, now turned to 'GMA Network' under this new partnership with 'ITV Studios' to hold the 6th Season of 'The Voice Kids: Philippines'. The grand finals in the kids version draws to a close by Sunday night on December 15th.
As Utica celebrates its hometown hero, Vasquez remains grounded. Utica City Mayor named 'Mr. Michael P. Galime' hailed him as a role model for the immigrant community and commented on his personal social statement post on Facebook: "I can't begin to express how excited I am for you. You worked hard, followed your dream, and made it happen. You are a role model for all, especially our immigrant population. I can't think of a better person to represent Utica than you, Sofronio Vasquez. Thank you", Mayor Galime concluded.
Vasquez' story has captured the world's attention. He even gave a hint that he might visit the Philippines before early 2025 as he emerged from his migrated home in Utica. In a Zoom Workplace video call interview on Thursday afternoon (December 12th), during the said Philippine noontime show "It's Showtime", he thanked his supporters and wished to inspire others with his journey: "Hindi pwedeng talunin yung lakas, sipag at pananampalataya ng isang Pilipino, kasi talaga kahit saan namamayag. Nagpa-promise po ako kay Sir [Michael Steven Bublé] na kapag umuwi po ako ang talent sa It's Showtime, yung una mai-bisitahan dito soon [sa Maynila]", concluded Vasquez in Tagalog dialect.
Sofronio Parojinog Vasquez's story rises in his home country to triumph on an international music stage. Rejection only applies for improvement and not giving up much. He was simply redirected and finding ways to make it better on him. This victory for 'The Voice' marks a personal milestone for him, but it is also an inspiration for all dreamers out there, as it goes on to prove that perseverance and talent can get over the odds. Relive the most outstanding moments or binge-ing to catch Season 26 of 'The Voice', streaming all over now or on-demand to purchase via NBC Peacock, NBC's website, Sling TV, Hulu and Apple TV+.

When I Thought COPPA Was Bad Enough, There's CORONAVIRUS... Current Project Updates and... I'm On Twitch Now!
-Posted on the original website on: April 13, 2020
You guys haven't heard from me in a while, yes I know, but rest assured, I'm ok despite what's going on throughout the entire world right now. COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus, has forced people into confinement not knowing when life will be back to normal again. This quarantine life however, doesn't affect me much because well... as an indie animator and artist, I pretty much live life at home by default and I'm quite used to it. The only thing about that that affects me is I can't go out for walks or fresh air anymore when I need to clear my head. So trying to stay sane has become more challenging in that sense.
Work work work work werk werk WERK
Tumblr media
If you guys have read my previous post or even the post before that, you'll know I've been working on this HUGE project about a talking Pikachu that claims itself as a great detective, which is the reason why Super Hero Clock is on hold. Again.
I started working on my Detective Pikachu fan animation September last year and so far, I've done over 15 minutes of its raw animation. At this point, I've only just past the middle of the whole animation. Since I work on it at home, the quarantine where I live shouldn't affect work progress and I can still carry on with the rest of the animation pretty much as usual - which is a good thing.
If you guys haven't noticed already, I've been trying to be more active on Twitter these days. I have posted WIP screenshots, GIFs and quick updates on this Detective Pikachu project there, which I don't post here. Of course, I tweet other random stuffs as well when I'm bored. Here's my Twitter if you wanna follow me there.
Tumblr media
This quarantine though, HAS made me do one thing that I keep dilly-dally -ing about - streaming on Twitch. I always thought chances of me being able to hang out with internet friends (or maybe just online acquaintances) in real life was slim. But now, it is obvious that there is no chance for that to happen at all, even if quarantine is over. So I thought that the only way I could possibly get a "better social life" or just reach out to people is to do online streaming. Hence, I've set up my Twitch channel. It's still new and pretty much blank but I'll try my best to find some time to stream some stuff, which would mostly be games. I do speak in some streams so yea, maybe I could talk to you guys sometime! Feel free to follow me on Twitch!
Although the global lockdown due to this virus outbreak is not really a problem to me, I am aware that a lot you guys out there who are extroverts are having a hard time staying at home or staying sane at home or just trying to survive. Humanity is facing its hardest challenge yet. But as long as we keep our heads, we should be able to pull through. Be stronger, be smarter, and you'll be safe.
Take a deep breath, keep calm and stay focused... AND WORK

Being a commercial real estate investor, one should always remain updated with the key investment trends. After the outbreak of Covid, the real estate market had doomed to a greater extent. But fortunately, it is growing and is expected to flourish in the upcoming years. Thus, one can make the most of their investments if one stays attentive to the current and predicted future trends of the commercial real estate sector. The following are the top-rated five real estate investment trends targeting the commercial sector.

Low Mortgage and Interest Charged:
With low-interest rates and mortgages, making investments has become more feasible. It has captured the attention of a long list of investors, making it more affordable for them to in commercial real estate. Also, getting investment loans has become easier for investors as they are charged less due to lower interest rates.
Industrial Sector to Grow Drastically:
During the advent of coronavirus, commercial real estate, especially the retail sector, had been suffering and yielding low financial returns. There is still uncertainty if this sector will rebound in the following years. According to the forecast, the industrial sector is stabilizing soon and is expected to boom yearly due to the flourishing e-commerce industry. The sudden growth in e-commerce has significantly overburdened retailers and wholesalers, which have to keep their logistics, i.e., transportation of goods, costs minimal. The primary rationale behind the industrial sector boom, including warehouses and manufacturing sites, is consumer behaviour and choices change. With the ease of technology and internet accessibility, people find it more convenient to do online shopping without the hassle of visiting stores in person. Online shopping involving digital brands has also popularized after the covid outbreak, as people refrained from shopping at stores due to strict policies and preventive measures. Thus, there is a drastic change from retail to the industrial sector in the current and forthcoming years.
Change in Working Environment:
Initially, when Covid hit the global population, most people started to continue remote work. This policy was continued for a long time until, in 2021, there was a shift back to offices, and people were involved in hybrid work. The offices were mainly collaborating, or the space was getting concise.
Multi-Family Housing High on Demand:
The multi-family units have been built mainly due to high demand. After covid, the people had stabilized income and better job opportunities and could pay rental income independently.
A Rise in Sub-Urban Living:
Suburban living, i.e., residing in city outskirts or small towns, has become common in recent years due to inexpensiveness and more affordability for people. It has led to a significant rise in duplex apartments. Also, since there is a rise in remote work, people prefer to build spaces inside homes to do office work.

Coronavirus latest update in India | coronavirus astrological  interest
Coronavirus : Rahu, Ketu and Jupiter ?
What does Vedic Astrology say about #coronavirus? Usually, Viruses are connected to Rahu Ketu. All 2019 there was tight Ketu conjunction with Saturn, Now Rahu and Ketu are in fierce Ardra and Mula, their own nakshatras, We should not ignore the role of Jupiter in making it global.
#Astrology refers to the study in which the auspicious and inauspicious effects of planets and stars are studied on humans and the Earth. The compound meaning of the word astrology is lore related to planets and constellations.  Although mathematics (theory) is also understood by this word, ordinary people take the meaning of learning from astrology.

The planets and stars have different types of colors, so the rays emanating from them also have different effects.   Earth-based astrology refers to the study in which the auspicious and inauspicious effects of planets and stars are studied on humans and the Earth.
Primarily according to Indian astrology there are 12 zodiac signs inside astrology, all zodiac signs have different effects. All zodiac signs belong to different elements. The 4 elements of the zodiac signs are stated.  These are: • Agni • Water • Earth • Air The #zodiac #signs of fire are - Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. The zodiac signs of water are - Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. The zodiac signs of Earth are - Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. The signs of air element are - Aquarius, Libra, and Gemini.

We will suffer the least amount of fire and water.  Understand how and what is this #science  ✓ #Corona_Virus First of all, let me tell you how a person gets sick? When our mind starts to believe that we are sick when the mind gives the message that we are sick, Then the mind, which is our headquarter, gives a message to the body that we are sick, so first we become mentally weak and along with it we send a message to the millions of cells of our body that we are sick. Ex: It becomes exactly like a losing army. That is, the mind works as a king inside our body and the millions of cells inside the bodywork as a soldier and when the king loses, then all these (soldiers) of the body lay down their weapons, so humans are ill.  , Until your brain believes it. This is also what medical science, Ayurveda and Vedic culture say that if your mind loses, your body loses too. It says - one who is strong in mind is less ill.
What are the symptoms of the corona -
Tumblr media
Symptoms -- • #headache • #cold cough • #eye irritation • difficulty in breathing and #subsequent_pneumonia • Thereafter to #kidney_failure.
If we look at it from #astrology, it is all the symptoms due to #Jupiter getting spoiled and the bad one which #Rahu_spoils. If we see how a bad Rahu is born - it is produced when Mars and Mercury are combined, then a very bad Rahul is born.
First of all, whoever suspects that he has or may have coronavirus 1. In such a state, do not forget to use fennel (green) because the firm thing of Mars and Mercury is fennel. 2. Rahu, Mercury, and Venus spoil Jupiter.  A lot of people have spread the camphor in the house too young. It is absolutely wrong because camphor is Venus and is also an enemy of Jupiter. 3. Do not use cardamom at this time also, because cardamom is a complete symbol of Mercury and intelligence - Jupiter is a very strong enemy, so do not use cardamom and basil at this time because it works perfectly inside this virus.  Not to do it will probably give it a further boost. Keeping astrology in mind, it is a matter of what not to do, but now it is a matter of what we have to do, first of all, we have to be mentally strong. • Ketu: When Rahu is bad within astrology, what should be done if Ketu remedy is considered very important?  On this earth, the object of auspicious Ketu is considered to be black, which is black lentils. They are a mixed object of Venus and Saturn. Whenever Venus and Saturn meet, higher Ketu is formed, then within these days make a choice of black lentil lentils.  One must eat once a day, so Ketu will remain high and immunity will remain in the body. And that does not mean that the #coronavirus can show its effect because the higher Ketu kills Rahu from there. The #coronavirus is also Rahu. • Jupiter: to make Jupiter good.  To make Jupiter good, add turmeric in whatever cooked food you eat during the day. Those who are small children must drink one fourth (tsp) of turmeric by dissolving it in water, or by dissolving it inside their milk. Those who are older children, from the age of 17 years, should consume one teaspoon of turmeric every day, by opening it underwater or mixing it with milk, it will strengthen your Jupiter as well and your immune system will also be strong. • Mars: Those who can eat honey, then they should take one spoon of honey every morning and evening because Mars is a friend of Jupiter, if Jupiter is spoiled too, Mars does good by supporting him. Along with this, we should keep our house holy. To keep the house holy we should use the things of Jupiter. like: 1. Cow dung cake 2. Place a little desi section on it 3. Add half a teaspoon of ghee 4. Keep a little turmeric as well And burn them all.  After that give her fumigation all over your house because Desi Khand is Mars, Ghee is Chandra and Turmeric is Jupiter.  Wherever there will be a mixture of these three, how can Rahu go there - no #coronavirus can enter. • At the same time, we also need protection.
There is a lot of space where even sanitizers are not available, then what to do there? Go to any panwadi shop.  Buy tobacco from there, take tobacco that people eat by mixing it with lime. You can boil a small piece of turmeric and two spoons of turmeric in 2 liters of water. After that, whoever comes into the house, first wash his hands with that water.  Similarly, when someone goes out of the house, apply this water on his hands and put it on his face as well.  Apart from this, the government has said to keep the protection, consider all the things like putting a mask on the mouth, etc. • Add 3-5 liters of water inside the hookah water and mix four to five teaspoons of turmeric in it, sprinkle it in your house outside your house and inside the street as far as you can, it will also cause coronavirus to run.  Because it is a mixed object of Saturn and Jupiter, beyond which Rahu does not stand. These things will help you to get recover and give protection against this kind of viruses with the help of #Vedic_astrology
