John writes a 2nd letter. After he beats up Sherlock in the morgue, he visits the detective one last time to say goodbye. He leaves his walking stick-and the letter. In a last second decision he takes back the letter, rips it to pieces and bins it. Nurse Cornish, nosy as she is, fishes the pieces out of the bin and puts the letter back together. Luckily, Sherlock never sees this letter.
This is chapter 2 of Broken.
Tumblr media
I told you to stay away from me. But did you listen? No, you never listen, Sherlock. You NEVER listen. And look what happened.
I never meant to break your skin and bones. I was not myself, haven't been for a while. You and your big brain should have seen that. You should have stopped me from beating you to a pulp in the morgue. If you had not been high as a fucking kite, you would have stopped me and I wouldn't be haunted by your blood on my hands and the sound of your bones breaking. I could not stop myself. You could, but you didn't.
I am leaving. In a way I think I already left ages ago. After you killed yourself left me. We left each other. It was never the same after you came back. I tried, I really did. I thought we could work it out. You and me and Mary. What a fool I have been. I was no longer your blogger, your conductor of light. I am not even sure if I was your friend anymore.
I don't know yet where I will be going. I just know that Rosie and I have to get away. From you. She is my priority now (she always should have been, for fucks sake) and I can't look after you both. Not when I can barely look after myself. I just can't, Sherlock. But no matter how far away I will be going, I know it won't be far enough. I will still be dreaming about you and The Fall and about finding you with a bullet hole in your chest and about you collapsing in 221b and about me punching your face and kicking your ribs. I will still be waking up screaming and it will always be because of you.
Take this walking stick as my parting gift, as a reminder of the good times we had together. I can't take it with me because it reminds me not only of the good, but also the bad times. The hurt, the grief, the loneliness, the guilt, the regrets. I don’t know what else to tell you. I need to get away from… everything. For a while or – I don’t know, maybe longer.
Goodbye, Sherlock.
John

This is gunna be a personal and ramble-y blog, fair warning! Really just using this as a means to organize my thoughts.
I started practicing traditional witchcraft at a weird time; right before it got popular (not that I’m special, I am Just Some Bitch) and everyone jumped on the “I hate Wiccans my witchcraft is so edgy and traditional ™️” bandwagon. I had been extremely new age prior; that summer I had stopped “practicing”. (I don’t consider what I was doing then Wicca or witchcraft) I was in a fragile state due to my (ex now) boyfriend raping me. (how’s that erectile dysfunction treating you Matthew?) I don’t know why, but l was Called via some rather visceral dream-vision experiences. I had no real knowledge, skills or abilities to allow me to understand what I was seeing nor why. I bought some books over tradcraft, I think treading the mill, a Cornish book of ways and a grimoire for modern cunning folk were my firsts, and they did help- but they also left me confused. I didn’t understand the ~current~ behind these various authors traditions. I didn’t understand how one could practice traditional witchcraft outside of Europe. The skills I was lacking, that I wanted to cultivate weren’t within the pages of those books. (GMDF DID go over technique/methodology more than the other two books I had but it wasn’t exactly what I needed)
I turned to tumblr for answers. (horrible fucking idea!) I did get some, some folks were able to answer some of my questions and i’ll always be grateful for their help. Overall it fucked me over, I kept comparing myself to popular bloggers with decades more experience than me. I didn’t participate in discourse but I definitely got swept up in it. “Ok so THIS is what trad witches do” “Oh no wait THIS is what they do” 🤦🏼‍♂️ I got so frustrated, so confused I allowed myself to halt my progression. I definitely bothered some bloggers, asked and said some S T U P I D things.
I think my being PDA autistic also contributed. My thinking is literal and dualistic, I struggle with executive dysfunction and I’m bad at talking to people/explaining myself. So I went from a very wishy washy paradigm to a very strict astringent one. Only I had no knowledge so I felt like I couldn’t and shouldn’t do anything until I’m researched enough. The problem with that is witchcraft is an action, it is the doing. It’s not the research. Results are nice but that’s not the witchcraft, the witchcraft is the performing of the spell. I went from believing that as long as I say sorry everything is fine; the gods/spirits won’t care to understanding that my mistakes and inconsistency do matter. So I thought that I had fucked up too badly and ruined any chance I had. The craft became a demand which triggered my ED and my flight/fight responses ( thank you PDA autism ). There was discourse at the time about disabled witches, you had more new age types saying the same shit about how anything goes/everything/anything is fine, you had more serious occultists saying no, it’s ableist to treat disabled occultists like babies. I agree with the latter, of course, but at the time rather than understanding that I had to work with/around my ED I just tried to power through it which just made me burnout. I thought this was laziness and again, that I had ruined my relationships with the spirits. I worried too much about mucking things up further or being “punished”.
Despite all that I was still experiencing very real, very tangible, very intense things. Seeing spirits- awake or dreaming, actual results from my spells, signs/omens/dreams. He continued to come to me- even answering questions, relieving anxieties/doubts. Yet still I returned again and again and again to tumblr. I should’ve continued on with what I was doing and deleted the app. Nobody but me and the spirits has answers for me, nobody could tell me what I was experiencing meant or what direction I was to go in. That’s for the spirits to tell me, that’s for me to figure out.
I’m in a better place now, I understand things better now. I’ve learned to work with my ED. I’m learning to be nuanced in my approach to things. I’m analyzing, digesting everything I’ve experienced- listening to Them now. I know where I’m headed…kinda- I am heeding Their direction.
My experiences may not be as consistently crazy or mind-blowing as they where those first few years but they don’t need to be. I was shown, I was told where to go. I’m finally listening, the signs are more subtle now but they’re there. They are there, still. I don’t know if I’ll “make it” (what even does that mean) as a witch. I’ll definitely never succeed if I continue on as I was prior, I need to push myself. To actually to The Thing.

Conquer the SERPs: Mastering WordPress SEO in the UK
Welcome, fellow UK WordPress pioneers! Whether you're a seasoned blogger or just launched your digital storefront, conquering the search engine results pages (SERPs) can feel like scaling Mount Snowdon blindfolded. Fear not, for this guide is your trusty Sherpa, ready to navigate the sometimes-treacherous world of WordPress SEO in the UK.
Why SEO Matters in the UK:
Let's face it, the UK online landscape is bustling. But fear not, niche audiences await! Mastering SEO ensures your website rises above the digital din, attracting relevant UK traffic that converts. Think of it like crafting a delicious Cornish pasty; the right ingredients (keywords, content, technicals) and a dash of UK flair will draw in hungry customers (visitors).
Keyword Kings and Queens:
Before optimization commences, we need a royal court of keywords. Research is key! Tools like Google Keyword Planner and Ahrefs can unearth hidden gems, revealing high-intent, UK-specific search terms your target audience craves. Think beyond generic phrases; long-tail keywords like "vegan dog treats with free delivery UK" are your golden tickets to SERP supremacy.
Content, the Contentful King:
Once you've crowned your keyword monarchs, weave them seamlessly into your content. This isn't just about keyword stuffing; it's about crafting compelling, informative articles that resonate with UK readers. Think engaging headlines, subheadings for skimmers, and informative paragraphs rich in relevant keywords (naturally, not robotically). Remember, UK audiences appreciate a bit of wit and self-deprecating humor, so don't be afraid to inject some personality!
Technical Teatime:
Content reigns supreme, but technical SEO is the sturdy teacup it's served in. Optimize your website speed with plugins like WP Rocket and prioritize mobile responsiveness – Brits love their smartphones! Utilize SEO plugins like Yoast SEO or Rank Math to optimize page titles, meta descriptions, and image alt tags. Don't forget sitemaps and robots.txt – they're your map to Google's crawlers.
Local Link Love:
Links are like cobblestones leading to your virtual doorstep. Build high-quality backlinks from relevant UK websites and directories. Partner with local businesses, guest blog on UK-focused websites, and actively engage in online communities. Remember, quality trumps quantity – one link from a reputable UK blog is worth ten spammy directory listings.
Beyond the Basics:
While these are the SEO essentials, remember – the UK digital landscape is ever-evolving. Stay ahead of the curve by following Google's algorithm updates, embracing voice search optimization, and utilizing social media to amplify your content. Engage with your UK audience, respond to comments, and participate in relevant online discussions.
SEO isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. With dedication, the right strategies, and a touch of UK charm, your WordPress website will climb the SERPs like Ben Nevis after a double espresso. Remember, patience is key, consistency is crucial, and results may take time. But with this guide as your compass and your unwavering dedication as fuel, you'll be well on your way to SEO success in the UK!

Book: The Forgotten Prince
Author: Tanya Anne Crosby
Series: The Goldenchild Prophecy, Book #3
Release Date: July 25, 2023
Publisher: Oliver Heber Books
Book Length: 322 pages
Overall Rating: 5/5 Five Stars
Blog Rating: 5/5 Saltire Flags
(Beware spoilers from the first two books of The Goldenchild Prophecy series)
In this update previously from the first book of this series, in “The Cornish Princess,” readers will view Gwendolyn’s brand new husband’s true and vile nature! Without Gwendolyn’s knowledge as she mistakenly thinks she is being prepared for her wedding night, as she had been removed from the wedding feast before any of the barbaric murders occurred! Loc had previously ordered his brothers and warriors to commit the most enormous mass murders at their wedding feast! Now this new King “Loc” Locrinus with his evil diabolical heart had set up this annihilation of Gwendolyn’s family, friends, and loved ones of Cornwall! This vicious, cruel, savage groom had his warriors in disguise as wedding guests with weapons under their sleeves.
Now this wedding would be known as the Feast of Blades” with the deadly annihilation that wiped out so many of Gwendolyn’s loved ones including both of her parents! Loc not only had Gwendolyn’s father and mother murdered but he killed his own father King Brutus too! Most likely this also meant her mother Queen Eseld and her nursemaid Demelza who had always been like a mother to Gwendolyn, who she loved dearly!
However, this was when Loc took Gwendolyn away where everyone thought she was having her special wedding night in the marriage bed, but it was the furthest thing from the truth. Gwendolyn had no idea what was happening to her family, friends and people! Unfortunately some might think Gwendolyn had a part in this malicious attack and was siding with her bloodthirsty husband which was the furthest thing from the truth! They had no idea she was being abused and held prisoner by Loc, his mistress and Loc’s mother, the Dowager Queen. Luckily she escapes in The Queen’s Huntsman, which is the second book of this exceptional series, but now her lands are dying yet Loc’s lands are flourishing which seems so unfair considering all the merciless attacks he has done to Gwendolyn’s people and her lands! Now who will win in this tale of good versus evil? As the Goldenchild Prophecy continues…
Pretania 11th Century BC
A final showdown between Queen Gwendolyn and King Locrinus is coming soon. As the treacherous usurper Loc is searching for tribes to build his army and fight against Gwendolyn, however he is also searching for his escaped (prisoner) his Queen only to slaughter her and destroy Gwendolyn’s lands, villages, people and every living thing in his path. Unfortunately her people are losing hope, faith and trust in their new Queen with all of her lands dying as everything is devastatingly destroyed! Furthermore they are absolutely terrified of Loc and his men after they annihilated so many of Cornwall’s people at their wedding without Gwendolyn’s knowledge having been removed from the wedding feast before any of these murders occurred!
These mass murders occurred without Gwendolyn’s knowledge since she thought she was being prepared for her wedding night, mistakenly only to be abused and becoming Loc’s prisoner! He needed her to look as if they were happily married to convince and betray other tribe leaders for alliances and convince her with tremendous threats for the few that were still alive that she loved. Luckily she does finally escape with the help of some magical people on her side including a fae prince named Málik Dannann, who Gwyndolyn happens to love, but finds him very difficult to read but he soon reveals his true heart and feelings to this Cornwall Queen. Is it what she wants to hear?
What is confusing and doesn’t make sense is that Loc’s land is flourishing and her land is dying. Especially since he is an abusive mass murderer and empty hearted scur! Having killed Gwendolyn’s parents, the King and Queen of Cornwall, her cousins, friends and so many of the Cornwall people and imprisoning Gwendolyn and so many of the Cornwall guards and their people. Plus Loc’s people are destroying everything in their path and Gwendolyn feels the only way for her to win this war against Loc is to raise an Army, but first she has to unite the tribes of Pretania to even build an army. This is not an easy task when the doom of men seems to object to a woman alone in power.
Furthermore this faerie named Esme, who seems to have an agenda of her own. On top of that she is Málek Dannann’s betrothed, though it is obvious there are no soft romantic feelings between the two. As their alliance is only a political one. However she seems to play both sides filling Gwendolyn with tales to give her false hope and perhaps telling her falsehoods but she thought that fae and magical beings cannot lie?
Loc isn’t the only Usurper that wants this Cornwall Queen dead as also the King of Fae is not happy hearing she intends to cross over into his magical realm! A King who is Málek’s sire and for him his land is where humans are definitely not welcome! As Gwendolyn wants The Tuatha'an Sword of Light as it seems she definitely needs this magical sword to win this war. Will Gwendolyn cross the veil? Shall she convince the untrusting doom of men to trust her? Can Gwendolyn convince the Druids to help her cross the veil in the magical “fae” world or will they make her too sick purposely on hobb cake? Does Malek open his heart and confess his true feelings or will he crush Gwendolyn’s tender heart once again? Will Loc get more support for this battle against Cornwall? Read and find out in this unforgettable breathtaking tale!
Again Tanya Ann Crosby writes another phenomenal tale in book three that made my heart race, my body quiver and never knowing what to expect next! I love how this novel centers around true historical figures in history, but of course this is a fictional paranormal tale from this author’s brilliant and entertaining imagination! It is a book you definitely need to read both The Cornish Princess and The Queen’s Huntsman first to totally understand and comprehend this story in completion. I personally think it will be hard to understand if readers do not read the first two books of his magnificent series. Now this is also not a happily ever after ending as the fourth book “Arise the Queen” is the next book and the series finale. I believe all the unanswered questions and cliffhangers will be answered. I personally cannot wait for the next book in this tremendous series!
I have really loved this series so very much as Tanya Anne Crosby is one of those rare unique and gifted authors that really knows how to pull you in and sweep you away in this magical world with her extraordinary, gifted, talent that will absolutely and positively blow readers away!. I loved The Forgotten Prince and I absolutely recommend this spectacular masterpiece! Again, it is another beautiful, epic, story blending true history and a magical world that you can’t help but crave and desire! The type of book you never want to end like a never ending story! Plus watching what others call a slip of a girl trying to build an Army to save a nation is totally mind blowing and absolutely brilliant!
It is obvious why I have been reading this multi talented author for over three decades as all her books are a bit like (hobb cake) to me! What is hobb cake you might ask? However, you will definitely have to read this incredible stunning story to find out. I think Gwendolyn’s shadow Brynn will absolutely agree with me about the hobb cake. Just watch out as too much of a good thing can have alarming results! I absolutely can not recommend this book enough, it is definitely one of my all time favorite reads of the year! A book that will definitely take you on a journey to the ultimate paradise!

My Review: This is the right book at the right moment: you're tired, the workload is heavy, you would be happy to do some radical changes in your life and this book is a sort of heaven-sent as it seems to talk to you and talk about you. I think that Meredith is braver than me and she dares to change finding more than she thought. I love this character and enjoyed her changes and how she acts to change thing and achieve what she didn't know she wanted. Kim Nash deliver an delightful story that made feel good and smile. I rooted for the characters, wish I was in a lighthouse in Cornwall. Truffaut, one of the most important French directors of XX century, said something about love song and how they tell the truth about love and feeling. We can define this book escapist but there's a truth behind the dream and there's a moment when you feel like Meredith. Well done and well written. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for this arc, all opinions are mine

What Happened to CNN Live Streaming?
Tumblr media
CNN is a cable and satellite television network with an established history of providing live coverage of news events. It boasts an enthusiastic viewership that appreciates its honest interpretations of breaking stories.
WarnerMedia owns and operates the cable news channel, part of Discovery Networks. It is currently the third most popular cable news network in America.
What happened to cnn live stream?
CNN (Cable News Network) is a United States-based news and entertainment channel. As the first all-news television network in America, cnn news live is renowned for its 24-hour news coverage.
CNN covers a wide range of topics, such as politics, business, health and technology. Additionally, they provide live coverage for events like natural disasters or presidential elections.
You can watch the channel online for free using various streaming services. Some of these providers offer free trials so that you can try them out before signing up.
Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV all offer free trials, making them an excellent way to watch CNN without cable subscription. Alternatively, Sling TV or AT&T TV Now may be suitable if you need a full cable replacement solution.
Watching CNN online with a VPN is one of the simplest methods. Just sign up to a US VPN provider, change your location to America, and head over to CNN's website as if you were in America.
Why did cnn shut down its streaming service?
CNN+, their costly venture into subscription streaming, has shut down just one month after launch. This comes as a shocking setback for the venture that was touted as being the most significant launch since Ted Turner founded CNN.
It had invested hundreds of millions of dollars into the project and secured big names from news to host shows on its service, such as Kasie Hunt from NBC and Chris Wallace from Fox News. Projections indicated that two million subscribers would subscribe to the service, which had been hailed as a crucial step towards combatting traditional cable viewership decline.
On Thursday, Chris Licht, the new chief executive, informed employees that CNN+ would be shuttered at the end of April and current subscribers would receive prorated refunds on their fees. He explained that CNN+ would become part of a wider strategy that included sports, entertainment and non-fiction programming under Warner Bros Discovery as its new parent company.
What happened to cnn+?
On March 29th, CNN+ made history as one of the most high-profile and costly streaming services ever to launch. To give it a jumpstart in the digital era, the company invested hundreds of millions of dollars.
The concept was that this service would serve as a destination for CNN viewers, rather than an alternative to the network. It would offer eight to twelve hours of live programming daily.
Jason Kilar, CEO of Warner Media, gave his approval for cnn+ to go live and Jeff Zucker, president of CNN, was eager to secure big name talent such as NPR's Audie Cornish and longtime Fox News anchor Chris Wallace to anchor shows on the platform.
On April 11, less than one month after launch, the service's leadership informed its marketing team that their budget had been cut to zero. Several people who were present at the meeting vividly recall it.
At an hour-long meeting that followed their hiring of Licht and CNN Worldwide Chief Marketing Officer Allison Gollust, they made it abundantly clear they weren't in favor of keeping the product alive.
What happened to cnn+’s employees?
CNN+ enjoyed an overwhelmingly successful launch. It invested hundreds of millions of dollars into the service and recruited top talent from other networks for its lineup of live shows. Additionally, Rex Chapman (social media influencer) and chef Alison Roman (food blogger) joined anchoring shows on the streaming service as non-news personalities.
However, that all changed when Warner Bros. Discovery, led by CEO David Zaslav, acquired WarnerMedia in late March. That marked a shift away from opinion-based programming and toward straight news reporting as the service's long-term strategy.
According to a source close to the company, employees were furious with the decision to shutter CNN+ due to its misalignment with new leadership's long-term vision.
Accordingly, the network is providing junior staffers with six months of severance and priority on job opportunities within the company. Furthermore, high-profile talent such as former Fox News host Chris Wallace and MSNBC reporter Kasie Hunt have been informed they will be reassigned to either cable news networks or other WB Discovery platforms.

Dusted off and charged my husband's old Kindle for my Professional Identity class. I rented my textbook digitally because it was cheaper, and I'm really glad I did because I'm actually really enjoying using the Kindle! Maybe I'll do more school books like this... Scamp (@virtual.cats) spent the majority of the day chilling with me while I read.
