she's had a hectic morning. waking up to an empty house & way later than intended is extremely disorienting, especially when she & henry have a routine in place. she bursts through the door like she's about to arrest someone at granny's, clearly annoyed with neal's instant attempts to charm her out of a bad mood. " the word masks a relieved sigh as she slides into the booth in front of him, forest greens softening just a little. " you can't just up & take henry to school without telling me first. i've been separated from that kid one too many times, i thought something bad happened. " too many portals. too many threats. she'd love to pretend the effects weren't long lasting in the aftermath, but she can't. much more relaxed now, she shakes off her coat.
