Let Me Protect You - Prologue
Summary - Theo always gets into trouble and fights for your attention. Hoping that if he protects you, you will notice him. You hold a grudge against him for it. Theo hopes that one day you let him protect you without any Deficiencies.
Theodore Nott x Hufflepuff Reader
Warnings (Series content included) - Dark content; Angst such as fighting physically + verbally, blood, bruises, swearing, bullying, violence, mentions of temptations of sexual harassment, reader getting stalked (Not by Theo), Sexual content such as hot make out scenes, sex, oral sex, marking, praise.
Note - I am making a series, hopefully it be will long. This does contain a lot of angst however there will be fluff, happy ending of course. Feel free to comment your thoughts on the prologue of my series.
The great hall was bursting with chatter, laughter without letting you think. Y/N sees Mattheo and Draco playing the ridiculous game, who can make the person cower more to them. Blaise as usual being the judge. Pansy was in deep consideration with Lorenzo’s face going all red, poor lad couldn’t keep up with that witch.
And then there was Theo, wandering his eyes out of space until he met yours across the hall. You weren’t the one for much communication between even your so called friends, preferring your own company most of the time.
You find that most people are not reliable, they make you feel small by stepping on you in the wrong directions. You overthink, you are restless coming to a conclusion that you are better off alone, not too close with anyone.
What’s the point? You always get left out somehow.. “Friends” seem to care for a min or two with them getting something out of you. Until they realise that you do not fit in therefore abandoning you.
You may have cried over their lack of effort towards you, their harsh words after the friendship is over but what they didn’t know.. is that you came through stronger.
Digging your nose through books, always studying to meet good grades and even so the best expectations for yourself.
When you felt Theodore’s gaze towards you, your breath hitch. You close your eyes, pretending that it is not real. You are only being fooled. It’s a restless game he will not give up, not only because of his ability to charm that halfhearted spirited grin but because of his pride, his ego, his determination.
Everyone knows not to play or to begin to think entertaining Theo’s flute as it leads to ruin. Girls do ignore this from time to time, all they get is to be left behind on the sidelines.
You however, will not be another victim of one of his many little games.
Theodore on the other hand, he finds himself full of curiosity with you and your little Hufflepuff status.
As they say curiosity kills the cat!

Hellooo,
I want to request a story where Mclaggen flirts with the reader and gets to close, so she kisses her best friend Draco to get rid of him. But he gets pissed when he finds out that she only did it to get rid of him. Happy ending pls
Thank you so much for your request, I really enjoyed writing it! I feel my writing style is closer to my older fics again at this one (I´m not sure if this is a good thing yet). However, I hope you enjoy reading it!
Friends to lovers
Warnings: alcohol consumption, harassment
A/N: Just a quick note for all the girls out there (and everyone else who will ever get in a situation like this): Please remember that it is always okay to speak up if someone makes you feel uncomfortable and never be afraid to make a scene if necessary (only if you feel like it´s safe obviously), regardless what other people around you might think or say about it. These feelings are completely valid and much more important than what others might think.
Also, since this fact might get lost in this fic: Consent is always key, always remember this, regardless of what situation you are in or what the relationship with the other person might look like.
“So what do you think? The silvery or the green one?”
You narrowed your eyes as you tried to conjure the images of the dresses in your mind.
“The green one. With some silvery jewellery.”
“Maybe the necklace you got me for my birthday?”
You grinned at your friend.
“I was thinking the exact same, Pansy.”
“Oh yeah, and what do you think, Draco? Which shirt should I wear tonight? The black one or the black one?”, you were suddenly interrupted by a deeper voice.
The blond boy pouted as if he would actually think about his answer.
“I think you should wear the black one, Blaise.”, he finally answered. “It stresses your eyes.”
“You´re too kind, Draco. And such an amazing help.”
You shared an annoyed glare with Pansy, which made the boys give in and burst into laughter.
“But honestly”, Blaise stated when they had finally calmed down again, “I don’t get why you make such a fuss about it.”
“It´s just a party. The two of you should calm down a bit.”, Draco agreed with his friend.
You nudged him playfully.
“Says the boy who takes about an hour to style his hair every morning and still gets it ruined in the first ten minutes afterwards.”
Draco touched his hair, looking slightly offended as a rosy shimmer spread across his cheeks.
“A malicious allegation. It looks like that naturally."
You shared a knowing glance with Pansy, fully aware of the fact that what Draco had just stated was nothing but a lie.
“It´s nothing to be ashamed of, Draco.”, you chirped as you smiled at him sweetly.
“It´s actually very attractive if a guy cares about his appearance, you know?”, Pansy added, making Blaise almost choke on his pumpkin juice.
The four of you were sitting in the Great Hall at breakfast and the most important topic of the day was the upcoming party tonight. By now, you had finished all your exams for the year and Salazar, that was for sure a reason to celebrate. And at one of the biggest parties of the year, Pansy and you obviously wanted to dress up at least a bit, eager to escape the everyday look of your school uniforms. And to do so, you were even willing to take some rude comments from your friends.
“As if I would be in need of such things.”, Draco returned, shooting Pansy a deadly glare, while Blaise still tried to catch his breath.
“Because unlike some of us”, Blaise stated, when he had finally recovered, as his eyes darted from Pansy to you and back to Pansy, “we don’t have to put in any effort to look great.”
“While Pansy and I, unlike some of us, are aware of how we can maximize our God-given beauty. It wouldn´t hurt you to try this as well at some point.”
“So you can´t even argue with the fact that we´re just irresistibly attractive, can you?”, Blaise grinned.
“It makes me want to worship the ground you´re walking on.”, you said, your voice dripping with sarcasm.
But while you were making fun of it, even you couldn’t deny that Blaise, as well as Draco, actually had some kind of effortless beauty. They were attractive, you couldn’t deny it, however, you would rather bite off your tongue than ever actually admit it to the boys.
“That doesn´t mean you couldn´t optimize it though.”, Pansy stepped in. “Maybe some eyeliner for Blaise and I bet Draco´s eyes would pop out more if we would curl his lashes…”
“And maybe ruffle up his hair a bit…”, you added, laying your arm around Draco´s shoulder in a sneaky attempt to get your hand closer to the neatly styled hair, but Draco realized immediately what you were up to and caught your hand with his.
“Don’t you dare. Do you know how much time it takes me to get this done? Won´t let you ruin it just like that.”, he growled.
“So you admit it.”, you stated with a triumphant shimmer in your eyes.
Draco looked at you irritated.
“Admit what?”
“That you style it."
Your friend hesitated a moment, before he grumbled: “Never said I wouldn’t. I just pointed out that you have a tendency to exaggerate.”
You rolled your eyes.
“Sure you did.” You sighed and rested your head on your friend’s shoulder. “But jokes aside. You look… well, let’s say at least acceptable, styled hair or not.”
Draco let out a low chuckle as he wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you even closer.
“Likewise, princess.”
And on the other side of the table, Pansy and Blaise couldn’t hide the smirk on their faces as they watched the scene in front of them, sharing a glance in silent agreement.
Later that day, Pansy and you made your way to the Slytherin common room. Pansy had indeed chosen the green dress, certainly enjoying the compliments you had showered her with as you had seen her all dressed up. You had dressed up yourself, not looking too bad as well and certainly more than just acceptable and -as Pansy noted- even Draco wouldn’t be able to help himself but admit that you did so.
And in fact, when you entered the common room, where Draco and some of your other friends were already waiting for you, the blond boy´s eyes widened slightly as he noticed you.
“So, what do you think? Is this acceptable?”, you smiled at Draco as you walked up to him.
Draco´s eyes wandered up and down your body, as he took his time to come to a conclusion. When his eyes met yours again, there was something in his gaze that you couldn’t quite grasp, something that made you blush for some stupid reason, but it was soon replaced by a cheeky grin.
“Finally, I don´t have to be ashamed to be seen with you for once.”, he responded.
When your attempt to slap his arm in response failed and Draco laughed at your pathetic try, you took some time to eye the boy as well. The Slytherin looked unfairly good in his black suit he always wore to such occasions. It somehow made the twinkle in his eyes only look brighter, especially now, that he tilted his head as he laughed. And also…
“Your hair!”, you stated in surprise as you noticed how some strands of Draco´s normally neatly styled hair framed his face.
The grin on the boy´s face only grew wider.
“Only did so for you, love.”, he teased.
“Oh yeah, for sure.”
“So what do you say? Do you like it?”
You eyed him sceptically. But no matter how hard you tried, you had to admit that there was absolutely nothing to criticize – neither about Draco´s hair nor about any other part of his appearance. For a second you got lost in the way he smiled down at you, way too smugly, yet in your eyes still looking just perfect.
“What? Got lost for words?”, Draco chuckled as he noticed your gaze.
You snapped out of your trance and quickly shook your head, not only as an answer to his question but also as an attempt to get rid of the strange feeling in your stomach as you looked at your friend.
“I told you it would suit you. Isn´t that surprising I was right once more, is it?”, you said with a shrug of your shoulders.
“You aren’t complacent at all, are you?”
“Says you”, you countered right away.
“Are the two of you done flirting now, or do you want us to excuse you for tonight?”, you were suddenly interrupted by Pansy´s mischievous voice.
You turned around, glaring at your roommate.
“You don’t actually expect me to answer this, do you?”
Pansy just shrugged her shoulders in response, pulling a face that made you suspect you rather didn’t want to know what she would say next. So you linked your arm with hers and pulled her towards the exit.
“What are we waiting for then?”, you asked.
The party was already in full swing when you arrived. It always amazed and irritated you at the very same time when you saw the students of the different houses in harmony with one another. Since none of you were wearing your school uniforms anymore, from time to time it was hard to even recognize which house the different people you barely knew were from. However, many of them -especially Slytherins- stuck to the colours of their houses, making it easier to at least suspect where they belonged, and somewhere on the other side of the room, you noticed Luna Lovegood, who had created some jewellery from eagle feathers. People were dancing, talking and laughing, on the dancefloor, at the improvised bar someone had built up or just lazily sitting in one of the seating areas.
The moment you stepped through the door, someone handed you a drink and you carefully sniffed on it. Just from the smell, you were pretty sure that whatever had been mixed into it, the night would be a very certain kind of fun.
Pansy had already raised her glass.
“To the end of torture and oppression!”, she cheered, before taking a way too big swing from her cup.
“To the end of torture and oppression.”, you agreed laughingly before you nipped on your cup as well, pulling a face. You certainly would need to take it easy if you didn’t want to wake up with some bad headache tomorrow.
When you had finished your drink, Pansy practically pulled you on the dancefloor, while Draco along with Blaise found some poor excuse to get over to the comfortable couches, meeting up with Crabbe and Goyle.
You didn’t even know how long you had been dancing, just enjoying the music and the company of your friends, when suddenly Pansy nudged you.
“Draco´s looking over!”, she yelled into your ear.
You turned your head, looking to the boys who still remained rooted in their spots in the seating area, and saw that Draco was indeed watching you. When he caught your gaze, you waved at him excitedly, which made your friend curve his lips into a small smile. But that smile quickly fainted as you tried to beckon him over, signalling him you wanted him to join you dancing. But while Draco was extraordinarily good in standard dances, he detested the stiff frippery without any clear rules with every fibre of his body. That´s why Draco just shook his head firmly at your efforts and quickly turned his head to his friends, engaging in the conversation again.
With a shrug of your shoulders, you turned around to Pansy again.
“If you don’t want it, you already have it.”, you said, slightly disappointed, yet not actually surprised at Draco´s rejection.
“I highly doubt it´s the dancing he´s interested in.”, Pansy mumbled under her breath and over the loud music, it was hard for you to understand.
“What was that?”
Pansy sighed.
“Nothing. Absolutely nothing.”
You threw your friend an irritated glance, but Pansy didn’t seem to want to deepen her explanation.
But while Pansy just went back to dancing, you felt your throat slowly getting dry from the yelling and the heated temperatures in the room.
“I´ll get myself a drink. You want something too?”
Pansy gave you a thumbs up and you made your way to the bar on the other side of the dancefloor.
You had just grabbed your drinks and wanted to make your way back through the crowd when suddenly someone touched your shoulder. You turned around and groaned quietly. Cormac McLaggen was standing there, grinning down at you. You detested this guy more than any other student in this school, not only because he was a Gryffindor, but mostly because he had a certain reputation regarding his handling of girls. You still remembered how -not long ago- he had tried to get close to Hermione Granger, and even though you didn’t exactly like the smart-alec Gryffindor girl, you had felt slightly sorry for her when you had watched the constant inappropriate attempts to get the girl. And the fact that he was standing now in front of you with that slimy grin on his face made you suspect that he was up to no good.
“Lovely (Y/n). I see you got me a drink as well.”, he grinned, stepping even closer to you.
You resisted the urge to step back and instead straightened your back, trying not to show how uncomfortable he was making you feel already.
“It´s for Pansy.”, you answered cooly.
“But I´m sure Parkinson can get herself a drink, can´t she?”
“So can you.”
“But then I wouldn’t have a reason to keep your company any longer.”
“That´s the plan.” You really weren’t in the mood to stay quiet or polite just out of respect for a guy’s feelings, especially if said guy happened to be McLaggen.
But he didn’t seem to mind the slightest.
“You´re really a tease, (Y/n), aren’t you?”, the Gryffindor chuckled, as he stepped even closer and put an arm around your waist.
“Let go of me. Right now.”, you hissed through gritted teeth, having to use all your willpower to not hex the boy on the spot.
“Why should I?”, McLaggen responded.
You looked at him in disbelief. Was he actually that stupid that he actually didn’t get how uncomfortable he made you feel? Or did he simply not care about it? And most importantly how would you get out of this situation most elegantly. You weren’t scared to make a scene in front of all these people, but you were pretty sure that McLaggen would hold it against you and even though you would be able to get rid of him like this for now, you weren’t sure how long it would last. So you took a deep breath, trying to get calm yourself down again.
“I need to get back to my friends."
“Why? You think they would grudge you some fun?”
“This isn’t fun for me, McLaggen.” You stressed his last name, trying to make clear that you didn’t feel like you were on a first name basis with him at all.
“C´mon (Y/n).” Well, that certainly didn’t work. “We´re just getting started. I promise you won´t regret this.”
But if he wouldn’t let go of you soon, he certainly would. But instead, he pulled you even closer.
“I´ll pass on this.”
You looked around, trying to find a familiar face to get you out of your misery, a place you could save yourself to, but the only people you spotted were Pansy and Draco who were standing next to the dancefloor, their eyes wandering through the room, probably already looking for you since you had already disappeared for much longer than you had originally planned.
“What is it (Y/n)”, McLaggen whispered into your ear, making goosebumps creeping over your skin in the most uncomfortable way. “Don´t got someone else to do the job, do you?”
Oh, if McLaggen only knew how much he had just scored his own goal.
“Oh well, you know, actually I do have someone to -as you just expressed so elegantly- do the job.”
You smiled at the boy sweetly, while the Gryffindor frowned.
“You do?”
“How come you don’t know yet? I thought most people did by now.”
You didn’t even have to hide the grin on your face as you saw McLaggen looking utterly confused.
“I didn’t.”
“Well, now you do.”
You quickly wriggled out of the boy´s grip and wanted to leave with a smug grin on your face, but McLaggen caught your wrist and held you back once more.
“Who is it then?”
You hesitated for a moment before you looked over to your friends still standing a bit off the beaten track and your gaze settled on a certain blond boy, who was talking to Pansy, for now completely unaware of his spontaneous promotion. You turned back to McLaggen and locked your eyes with his, not blinking once, as you said: “Draco of course.”
McLaggen looked at you in surprise.
“Draco? You mean Draco Malfoy?”
You rolled your eyes.
“Do you know any other?”
“But I always thought the two of you were just friends.”
“Ever heard something about the term friends to lovers? Honestly, McLaggen read a book someday.”
“But this is the real world, (Y/n).”, McLaggen frowned.
You had to try really hard to hold back a groan. That guy was harder to get rid of than the juice of a Mimbulus mimbletonia.
“But my fairytale has come to life. So if you´ll excuse me now, my boyfriend”, you stressed the word, “is probably already looking for me and I really want to get back to him.”
And without waiting for a response, you turned on your heel and made your way back to your friends.
When you had almost reached them, a smug grin still covering your face due to your recent award-winning performance, you turned your head around one last time, only to see McLaggen still watching you, lips pursed and arms crossed in front of his chest. Maybe you hadn’t been as convincing as you had hoped or maybe it was just his wounded pride, but if he would keep on watching you that closely, he would realize rather soon that what you had just told him had been nothing but a bluff. At that moment a second terrific idea followed the first one. And without thinking twice, you walked up to your friends with the sweetest smile on your face.
“Finally, (Y/n), what took you so long?”, Pansy asked you as you handed her the drinks.
“Sorry, I was delayed.”, you said, before you turned around to Draco.
“But you couldn’t stay away from me too long, could you?”, he teased with that familiar twinkle in his eyes, as he grinned down at you.
You returned his smile immediately.
“You have no idea.”, you responded before you grabbed him by his collar and pressed your lips on Draco´s without hesitation.
It was fireworks exploding.
You weren’t quite sure what you had been thinking when you had decided to kiss your friend, but it didn’t matter anymore.
You weren’t quite sure, how you had been expecting his lips to feel on yours, but you certainly hadn’t expected them to feel so soft against yours and fit just so perfectly.
You weren’t quite sure how you had expected to feel when you would kiss Draco, but it hadn’t been like this. You hadn’t expected the electricity buzzing through your body the moment his lips touched yours. You hadn’t expected the relief you felt as Draco didn’t push you away but pulled you only closer. You hadn’t expected to feel like air was only the second most important thing in your life as his lips slowly started to move against yours as well.
You heard Pansy gasping somewhere in the back of your mind, but it sounded muffled, just like any other noise around you. Every sensation that wasn’t linked to Draco and the moment you just shared felt just doll compared to the intense feelings rushing through your body. Every centimetre of your body was on fire and Draco´s heated skin against yours only fuelled the fire. The taste of the drink he had had still lingering on his lips felt intoxicating, just as the way your hands slowly wandered from Draco´s collar to his hair, while he pulled his arms around your waist, holding you so close, you felt as if your bodies might immerge with one another.
You didn’t know how long you stayed like this, holding each other tight, but finally, you ran out of air after all and slowly, you backed up again. As you opened your eyes, the sight in front of you was truly magical. Draco´s cheeks were rosy and his swollen lips slightly parted, as he panted heavily, his hair not only slightly ruffled anymore, but a total mess.
The Slytherin leant his forehead against yours and grinned down at you.
“Well, that was unexpected.”, he said, his voice sounding unusually raspy.
You didn’t answer and just nodded as you stared at him in awe.
You had never seen Draco as much more than a friend. You had always been really close and you had always been aware of the fact that he was quite attractive, but you had never seen him in the same way you did now. You had never felt the butterflies in your stomach somersaulting, had never had the urge to be as close to him as you did now, had never wanted to press your lips on his again so badly.
Draco brushed a strand of your hair that was falling into your face behind your ear, before his thumb traced over your cheek and finally your lips, which probably looked like a mess by now since you saw some light traces of your lipstick on Draco´s.
“So tell me, love, how did I deserve this special kind of attention from you tonight?”
For a second you were almost irritated. What did Draco think why one would kiss someone else? But then you remembered that your intentions for the kiss had originally been slightly different from the ones you had on your mind now.
When you didn’t answer and the boy in front of you saw the look of indecisiveness in your eyes, his face fell.
“Salazar, (Y/n), please don’t tell me you´re already so drunk that you just run around and kiss random people.”
The sharpness in his voice made you snap out of the trance you had been in ever since your lips had first touched his.
“What? No! No, I´m not drunk at all!”, you objected before you realized that this was probably just what a drunk person would say. So you took a deep breath and continued: “It´s just… McLaggen came up to me when I just got the drinks and was… well, he was McLaggen and he wouldn’t want to leave me alone, so I told him I had a boyfriend. And you were the first to come to my mind and I knew he probably didn’t believe me, so I thought if I´d kiss you he´d leave me alone.”
Only now that you said it out loud, you realized how stupid you must have sounded. Draco and you had never been anything but friends. What in Merlin´s name were you thinking to just walk up to a boy who had never shown any romantic interest in you and kissed him without even explaining the situation to him or asking him if he was okay with it?
“That´s what this was about?” Draco´s voice sounded even sharper than before, making you flinch.
“Look, Draco, I´m sorry. I know this probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but I… I don’t know, I wasn’t thinking, and I panicked and I somehow thought you´d be okay with this and…”
“You don’t have to explain yourself, (Y/n).”, Draco cut you off. “I get it. McLaggen is an idiot and I… I´m just glad you got yourself out of the situation, alright?” But Draco didn’t sound like he thought it was alright at all.
You nodded, eyeing him sceptically.
“So, you´re okay with this?”
Draco shrugged his shoulders. When he looked at you, the warm look in his clouded eyes had disappeared, and instead, his eyes were sparkling coldly at you now.
“Obviously. That´s what friends are there for, aren’t they?”
You gulped. For some reason, the word friends wasn’t quite fitting anymore for what you saw Draco as. You hadn’t believed that a stupid kiss could ever change your feelings the slightest, but somehow it did. Even though you weren’t quite sure if your feelings for Draco had actually changed within the last few minutes or if you had just become aware of something that had been buried under all those memories and experiences of the last few years, but what you knew for sure was that when Draco called whatever the two of you were friends, your heart clenched in a way you had never felt it before.
Still, you nodded.
“Yeah, you´re right. Friends. That's what they´re there for.”, you echoed weakly and forced a smile onto your lips.
For a moment, the two of you just stared at each other, before Draco finally nodded as well and took a step back.
“Well, since my job is done now, you don’t need me anymore, do you?” And without even waiting for an answer, he added: “I´ll get some fresh air now. It´s too crammed in here.”
With that, he turned on his heel, leaving you alone, staring at the spot he had stood only seconds ago.
“What in the name of Merlin was that all about?”, you suddenly heard a soft voice next to you.
When you looked up, you saw Pansy standing there, still holding the drinks you had handed her before your attack on the boy who called you his friend.
“I… this was… well, you heard what this was about.”, you responded defensively.
“Well, you can´t tell me that this was about you getting rid of that nasty Gryffindor.”
“Would that be so hard to believe?”
“After I´ve seen the two of you almost eating each other up and looking at each other like some fools in love? Trust me, it is.”
“Neither we ate each other up, nor are we fools in love.”, you snapped back, probably a bit too harsh for just trying to set the record straight.
“Oh yeah, this was purely platonic.” Pansy rolled her eyes.
“It was supposed to look real.”, you contradicted.
“And Draco knew that too?”
No, he didn’t. He had had no idea why you had been kissing him, still, he had kissed you in a way you hadn’t even dared to dream of.
“It was just the heat of the moment. I surprised him. And he would have felt bad to turn me down.”
“Oh, yeah, you have already assumed this for him, didn’t you?”
You looked at your friend irritated. You weren’t in the mood for guesswork right now, too many thoughts were running in circles around your mind.
“I mean, you kiss that poor boy like no one has ever done before and the next moment you explain to him that it was just to get rid of some jerk?"
“I know I should have just asked him first to make sure he is okay with it, but…"
“You really think that this would make any difference?”, Pansy interrupted you.
You sighed fretfully.
“If you got anything to say, Pansy, just spit it out. I´m really not up to your games right now.”
Pansy let out a small huff, not sure if she was supposed to laugh or grab you by the shoulders until you would finally realize it yourself.
“You really can´t be that blind, can you?”
You only frowned and Pansy sighed.
“(Y/n), you are aware that this guy had been head over heels for you since forever, aren’t you?”
“Who?”
“Draco, you foolish lunkhead! Who do you think we´re talking about?”
You stared at your friend in disbelief.
“Pansy, this isn’t funny.”
“Oh, I know, it really isn’t. It almost hurts physically to see the two of you interact with each other and how you are completely clueless to everything he does, even if Draco is behaving like a complete idiot around you.”
“You´re serious about this, aren’t you?”
“Of course I am, silly. Salazar, the way the two of you act is really so much more than anyone could ever make up in their head.”
“So you really want to tell me that Draco has a thing for me.” “Being hopelessly in love with you is more fitting, but if you want to put it this way, yeah, that´s what I´m trying to tell you.”
You felt the butterflies erupting in your stomach once more as your cheeks heated up to an unknown extent.
“I… I didn’t know…I mean, if I… I really had no idea…”, you stuttered, not quite sure what to say.
“Don’t you say.”, Pansy responded sarcastically, but then she grew more serious again. “The real question now is how you feel about it.”
How did you feel about it? On the one hand, all you wanted to do was run to Draco and kiss him until you were out of breath again for the rest of your life, but on the other hand, this feeling was so new and strange to you that you weren’t quite sure how to deal with it.
“I don’t know. I mean, I never even thought about the possibility that Draco and I… that we might ever be anything more than friends. It´s all we ever were, and I never had any doubts that we always would be.”
“But what about now? How do you feel about him now?”
You hesitated for a moment before you responded carefully: “Different.”
“And is this a good thing or a bad one?”, Pansy asked, but from the look on your face she already knew the answer before the words even left your mouth.
An uncontrollable smile spread across your face as you thought about the feeling of Draco´s lips on yours and the way that he had looked at you right after they had parted again.
“It´s a good thing. Really good.”, you smiled.
“Then you should probably tell him, shouldn’t you?”, she asked, the smirk on her face clearly visible in her voice as well.
You nodded.
“I will.” You shot your friend a thankful glance. “Thanks, Pansy.”
And with that, you turned around, following Draco into the dark.
The castle grounds were quiet at this time of the night. A few people were standing here alone or in small groups to get some fresh air, but still, it was quiet and from time to time you had the feeling to be all alone out here.
You weren’t quite sure how you knew where to go, maybe it was because of the strong tie between Draco and you that you had misinterpreted so badly, or maybe it was something else, but somehow your feet carried you to the place Draco was standing without fail. You spotted him leaning against the wall of the castle right away, his light hair shimmering in the dim light shining through the windows, mixing with the one of the moon shining down on you. You were pretty sure Draco had heard you approaching him, or maybe he was too lost in his own thoughts to do so, but as you got closer to him, the boy kept on staring into the void, showing no signs of recognition.
“Draco?”, your voice was soft, so soft you weren’t even sure if he had even heard you because he still didn’t react.
You cleared your throat before you tried once more.
“Draco?” This time your voice sounded stronger.
Draco however, still didn’t look at you, but a small shrug of his head signalized you that he had heard you. You took this as a sign to step even closer. Your heart was beating fast in your chest. You were scared. Scared that you might have ruined whatever relationship you had with Draco beyond repair, and if it didn’t yet, that your next actions would do so after all.
“I was looking for you.”, you spoke up again, not quite sure how to start the conversation properly.
“You found me now, didn’t you?”, Draco responded, his voice sounded cold and his eyes were still fixed on an invisible point in front of him.
You took another step towards the boy and leant to the wall next to him, not close enough to touch you, yet close enough to feel his presence next to you. You felt him tense as you did so, yet, he didn’t shy away.
A few moments of silence passed, as neither of you said a word. You looked up into the sky, letting your eyes getting used to the darkness until they finally spotted some stars glistening above you.
“It´s a beautiful night, isn’t it?”, you tried again.
Draco just hummed in response.
After another few minutes of silence, you couldn’t bear it anymore and tore your gaze apart from the night sky and looked at the boy next to you instead.
“Listen, I´m really sorry about what happened earlier. This wasn’t okay.”
“I already told you, it´s alright.”
You shook your head vigorously, even though you weren’t sure if Draco could even see.
“No, it really isn’t. I behaved like a complete idiot in there. Not only that I… that I just kissed you, but also what I said to you afterwards. I really screwed this up.”
“It doesn’t matter, (Y/n)”, Draco said, his voice still apathetic. “You did what you thought was best at that moment. And, I mean, it didn’t mean anything anyway, did it?” The last few words sounded different, a mix of bitterness and the hope that you might contradict. Before your talk with Pansy, you probably wouldn’t even have noticed, but now you did. And it almost broke your heart.
“That´s not true.”, you contradicted in a low voice.
Draco´s gaze flickered in your direction for a second, before he looked away again. Yet, he didn’t answer.
“It meant something. I mean, I know it did for you and I…” You paused for a second, thinking about what you should say next. “It meant something to me too, you know? I didn’t know that it would but it did. Much more than I ever thought it would.”
“It didn’t. Neither for you nor for me. I think we both made that very clear.”, Draco spit out, his voice not nearly as calm as it used to be, even though he tried really hard to hide it.
“Did we?”
“We did. We´re friends. That is what you said and what I said as well. We´ve always been and we always will be. Ain´t that hard to understand, (Y/n), is it? Even you should understand that.”
“I know you have a thing for me.”, you blurted out. You didn’t mean to do so. You had wanted to approach the topic more carefully, trying not to hurt Draco´s feelings or embarrass him, but the way he behaved like a stubborn child, made it impossible for you.
Draco froze for a second, before he shrugged his shoulders, looking anywhere but at you.
“And if I did? Would it change anything?”
The fact that he didn’t contradict you right away, didn’t call your assumptions ridiculous or even laughed at you, made even the last doubts you still had had about Pansy´s words disappear. Your heartbeat quickened even more, even though you weren’t quite sure if it was from annoyance or affection.
“Would it… Draco, this would change everything!”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah. Draco this… what happened tonight… the kiss… this wasn’t just about McLaggen.”
“You said it was.”
“Because it was. I mean kind of. But not like this. I… Merlin, Draco. At first, I kissed you because of him. But all of this felt just so… When I kissed you it just felt so good, and then you kissed me back and I had the feeling as if all the stars would suddenly align. It felt as if it was the right thing to do and it made me wonder… no, it made me know for sure that this is what I want. That you are what I want. Not as a friend but as… more. And I know that I´m an idiot that it took me that stupid kiss to realize and if you are mad at me now, you got every reason to be, but if you let me ruin the possibility of… of us just because I screwed this up then you are just as much of an idiot as I am.”
You hadn’t even realized how much you had raised your voice until you fell silent again and you couldn’t hear any other noises but the muffled music coming from inside and your own heartbeat echoing in your ears.
A few moments passed and neither Draco nor you said anything. Your thoughts were racing and in your mind, you already prepared yourself to not only lose the potential relationship Draco and you could have, but also the one that you had had ever since you came to Hogwarts. But just as you wanted to apologize and leave Draco alone again, the boy suddenly let out a sigh and stood up straight again, turning around to you.
The expression on his face was unreadable as he said: “Love, you should know that I´m way too smart to be an idiot.”
It took you a moment to process his words, but as you did, a small spark of hope lit up in your chest again.
“Does that mean, that...”
“It means”, Draco interrupted you, “that I´m willing to give this a chance.” He smiled at you smugly as he saw the uncontrollable grin spreading across your face. “If that´s what you want to, of course.”, he added slyly.
“I think to know this for sure, I might need to try something again at first.”, you responded.
And this time you didn’t have to pull Draco down to you, but he leant down willingly, meeting your lips halfway.
And even though this time you were prepared for the feeling, it still almost swept you off your feet with full force and you had no doubt that your legs would probably have given in if it wouldn’t be for Draco holding on to you tightly.
When you pulled back this time, you felt neither conflicted nor confused. All you could feel was your love for the boy in front of you rushing through your entire body and the only critical thought that was left was the question of how you could have ever mistaken your feelings for the blond Slytherin for anything else but love.
You leant your head onto Draco´s chest, listening to his steady heartbeat that was far too fast, a fact that you would have probably teased him for if you wouldn’t have known that yours did just the same.
“You have no idea how long I wanted to do this.”, Draco mumbled, before placing a small kiss on the crown of your head.
And he was right indeed. You had been completely oblivious to his feelings for so long, but now that you finally knew, it was making you happier than you could ever find the words to describe.
“Merlin, I love you, (Y/n).”, Draco mumbled, making yet another wave of heat flush through your body. But before you could even answer, he quickly added: “You… you don’t have to return this or anything. I just… I wanted to tell you for so long and… well, now I just had to.” You smiled as you heard the insecurity in his voice, something he barely ever showed to others.
“It´s not like I… maybe just take me on a date first, okay? I just… I don’t wanna rush things right now if that´s okay with you.”
“Anything for you, princess.”, Draco smiled, making your heart practically melt, as you snuggled yourself even closer to him.
“But one thing you have to tell me.”, Draco spoke up after a few minutes of comfortable silence. “You didn’t just have a brainwave, did you? Someone told you that I… well that I might like you more than just a friend.”
You felt your cheeks heating.
“Maybe Pansy gave me a little hint.”, you mumbled into his chest, making Draco chuckle deeply.
“A little hint?”
“Well, maybe it was more than that.”, you admitted. “She pretty much threw it in my face and I still didn’t catch it.”
“I always knew that you´re not the fastest broom in the sky.”, he grinned, making you frown.
“At least it didn’t take me… how long? Weeks? Months? To get a girl and then not even telling her but letting others do the job.”
“Actually it´s been years, if you really want to know. But I guess now McLaggen was good for something at least once.”, Draco responded. “Doesn’t mean I won't hex him the next time I´ll see his stupid visage.”
“If you´re hoping for me to stop you, I certainly won´t.”
“I was rather hoping you´d help me with it."
“So we can serve detention together? Romantic.”, you laughed.
Draco cupped your face with his hands and made you look up at him. You could see the mischievous sparkle that you had always loved so much glistening in his eyes.
“That´s just how I am, love.”, he responded, before he pulled you in yet another kiss.
And it certainly wouldn’t be the last.

-I've only ever loved you!
pairing: theo nott x fem!reader
Summary: where you and theo cross the boundaries of friendship.
warnings:slight mentions of smut near the end but purely fluff
note: I don't speak much English and i'm a first time writer let me know how I could improve pls!
It was a common occurrence for the group of slytherins to gather in the common room after a dreadful day of classses.
The boys had all gathered around the firepit. Mattheo,Lorenzo and Draco on the couch complaining about the last Quidditch game against Gryfinndor. Theo and Blaise sat side by side on their lounge chairs sharing a cigarette amongst themselves.
As you packed your bag and got ready to leave your final lesson your path was blocked by Cormac McLaggen “hey y/n are you still into that dumb slytherin or you going to take me up on my previous offer” it had taken a lot of energy to not punch him then and there.
“Cormac we’re never going to be a thing get over it” just as he was about to retaliate Pansy had thankfully interrupted him by pushing you into the direction of the door and showing him the finger.Once we were out of sight she began to ramble on “What a dick it’s been what 3 years ,come on, everyone can tell you and Theo are infatuated with each other”
“pansy come on it’s not like that” you didnt know why you still insisted when you knew she knew you better then yourself “yeah yeah why else have you been single your whole life?” you just rolled your eyes not in the mood to have the same repetitive conversation.
It's not that you didn’t like Theo it’s just you thought it was too good to be true.While you had been single he had managed to be seen at different parties with different girls and a part of your heart would break each time while you waited for your turn.
“Okay i’ll stop talking but will you tell him what happened and how McLeery will not stop bugging you” that had made you chuckle but it stopped when you thought about how Mclaggen had followed you around school during fifth year begging you to date him until Theo found out and had beaten him black and blue and he didn't stop until Mattheo and Lorenzo had dragged him away from the boy that became limp on the floor with blood everywhere. You shiver as you recalled the memories “I think i’ll refrain from telling him this time”
Y/N and Pansy had just returned to the common room from the final class of the day.
As you and pansy went down the stairs towards the boys you looked up and were met with theo’s eyes and he beckoned you over to sit with him as we made our way over you felt pansy nudge you and you looked over to see her wiggling her eyebrows teasing you.
You couldn't blame me for my feelings for the Italian boy with the hypnotising eyes, we had met during first year and have been inseparable since. We were probably the closest to each other amongst the group, we had been with each other through ups and downs and found comfort within each other.
As you made your way over to Theo he discarded his cigarette on the ashtray. You had gone to sit on the armchair but he snaked an arm around your waist and moved you over to sit on his lap "that's better amore mio" he then started playing with the ends of your hair while focusing on his conversation with Blaise.
As you turned around to face the other boys and pansy while trying to appear unfazed which was harder then it looked especially with Theo rubbing circles on your inner thighs causing butterflies to appear in your tummy.
You gave pansy a knowing look once you saw her move over to cuddle with Blaise. Apart of you felt quite jealous of how easy it was for your friends to form relationships but of course the other part of you felt joyful for your friends.
You began to relax in his arms and lay your head on the side of his neck until a trail of goosebumps began to form on your neck from Theo whispering “Are you feeling okay?You don't look well,my love” with the soft gaze in his eyes when he looked at you it was hard to not give in but you just nodded “I just had a long day and had double DADA lessons with Snape."
Theo looked at you unconvinced but he seemed to have let it go “Do you want to take a nap in my dorm and then we can hang out with them later” he knew you so well you gently nodded,now feeling more tired at the thought of sleeping.
He tapped on your thigh to alert you to stand up as he took you by the hand informing the group we were going for a nap. You refused to look back avoiding Pansys knowing look.
As he led you up the stairs to his dorm and brought you into the room with his hand still intertwined with yours.The room that was usually resided by Mattheo and Lorenzo now empty Theo had now gotten comfortable on his bed whilst you took of your shoes.
Theo spread out his arms inviting you into his embrace,you gladly joined him. After a few moments of silence Theo began to play with your hair and you glanced up to him to find him already looking at you “You know you don't have to hide what your feeling Amore mio”he let out a sigh“I know but i just don’t want to stir the pot or anything” He gave you a look which meant ‘stop playing or i’ll found out myself’ which caused you to reluctantly spill.
“It’s just i’ve been single my whole life and now i’m not sure if i’m destined to face unrequited love for the rest of my life and i feel like everyone’s gained some experience including you who has a a different girl each party and i feel like I'm missing out” you let out a breathe you didn’t know you were holding from your rant.
You felt like a weight was taken of your shoulders you glanced up again to see what he was thinking “principessa ,I truly wish you could see yourself the way i see you and how worthy and valuable you are,none of those girls compare to you and those excuses of a men don't even deserve to breathe the same oxygen as you."and with that he left a kiss on your forehead
Even though you felt flustered you couldn’t believed the words that come out of his mouth in absolute awe your gaze dropped down to his lips as he licked it and your words had began to spill out of your mouth “Would you ever love me more than a friend?" he looked taken aback and started to shift which made you regret your words instantly "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable I don't know why I said that" you started to remove yourself from his hold in a panic over the possibility of ruining your friendship before he pushed you back onto the bed, held you by the waist to secure you in place and connected your lips together with him on top of you.
His soft,pinkish lips against yours as you both fought for dominance he gently bit your lower lip.It felt as if your lips perfectly fit together and you knew it was going to be your new addiction. You both separated gasping for air "ti amo così tanto mio tesoro"(I love you so much my darling) you gazed up at him unable to speak you felt like you were in a trance"I love you so much I can’t even explain it in words but I know I only want you for the rest of my life and you heal different pieces of my heart each time I lay eyes on you" you couldn't even fathom the things he was saying it had all felt surreal.
"I love you too ragazzo carino" (pretty boy) you replied leaning up to give him another peck on his lips "does that mean your finally mine Bella ragazza?" (pretty girl) you chuckled you felt like the stars and moon had aligned "of course,its not like I haven't been longing for you since third year"at the confirmation he had been waiting for Theo tugged you closer to him on top of you giving you another kiss that should be written in the books.
The kiss began to heat up and become more passionate ,full of emotion, he tugged on the hemline of your shirt taking it off. His fingers crawling slowly upwards,stopping at your sternum.
You interrupted the kiss before it could go further "At least Mclaggen will finally leave me alone"Theo let out a groan at the mention of the boy "ugh principessa why would you mention him"you giggled as he rolled his eye out of annoyance "That bastard won't be able to touch you with a ten-foot pole"you felt yourself get turned on at his sudden anger "why don't you show him who I belong to?"
Theo grinned at the idea and continued his previous actions displaying his love for you all over your body.
The thought of a nap being long-forgotten..

SOON (THEO NOTT X READER)
Summary : Theodore Nott was just another Slytherin asshole to most of Hogwarts. But to you, he was something much much more.
Themes : Mild kissing and swearing.
A/N : This is my first Theo fic AHHH. Just thought I would give it a shot. Let me know how it is!
P.S.- This is strictly a one shot. There will be no part 2.
"He is quite charming isn't he?" Ginny commented sneaking a glance at Theodore Nott. Seated at the Slytherin table between his usual rowdy gang of friends, he smirked at something Lorenzo had said.
"I think the word you're looking for is enigmatic, Gin. For all we know, he could be Voldemort in disguise." you stated flatly, stabbing a piece of potato on your plate. Earning a smack on the arm for using You-know-who's name so boldly, you ignored Ginny's attempts at convincing you to attend the party being thrown tonight.
"Help me understand why you're so bloody against the idea?! Is it because you have to bring a date?" she raised her eyebrows in question.
"That may be a part of the reason." you refused to meet her owl like stare, instead choosing to focus on the copy of the Daily Prophet in front of you.
"Why would that be an issue ? I can name five people off the top of my head who would say yes instantly." she prodded further, thankfully choosing to redirect her gaze towards the mail she'd received. Taking advantage of her momentary distraction, you snuck a glance at Theodore again. The sleeves of his uniform were rolled upto his elbow and you greedily took in the sight of his veiny forearms.
"What are you looking at?" Ginny broke you out of the reverie, your eyes immediately flitting towards the shawl Pansy was wearing.
"Pansy's new shawl. I can't recall which store I've seen it in but it looks very familiar." The lie rolled out smoothly, misleading Ginny. The pang of guilt ,that never lessened in impact, hit you yet again.
"Oh. Yeah, it does look quite familiar now that you mention it." She went off on a tangent about clothes and you let out a relieved sigh.
Ginny couldn't know. Not for now atleast.
The morning went on, your focus elsewhere during most of the classes. Ginny hadn't brought up the party again but you knew it was unavoidable. You were definitely acting quite strange. Not being the one to turn down an invite, your sudden refusal to attend this massive party did come as a surprise to your friends.
You had your reasons. Utterly selfish reasons.
However as the evening rolled by, Ginny had cornered you into agreeing. On bringing up the issue of the date, she'd simply shrugged and said "I took care of it."
That did not sound very reassuring.
It was worse than you had expected.
"CORMAC MC FUCKIN LAGGEN ?!?" you hissed at Ginny , your back to the boy in question.
Ginny looked away sheepishly and said "He told Hermione who told me that he had a thing for you. So I thought you guys could talk? I mean you don't have to really. Just drop him off in a corner."
"Drop him---" pinching the bridge of your nose in frustration, you whipped around to face Laggen and gave him a saccharine smile.
"Nice to meet you Laggen but I'm not interested."
He looked astounded, trying to wrap his head around the rejection. After a few seconds, he managed to sputter out "We haven't talked yet. How can you--"
"Yes. Yes I can. You have my permission to tell everyone I'm your date but please don't approach me again. Bye." you sauntered off into the party, Ginny keeping up behind you.
"Where's Harry anyways?" you asked, straining your neck to see past the crowd.
"Running late. Neville set his pants on fire so Ron and Harry are helping him out."
Shaking your head in amusement, you let your eyes run around the room searching for him.
There.
Theo sat on the couch near the fireplace, one arm thrown around the back , a glass of amber liquid in the other. The smoke from Mattheo's cigarette made his figure hazy.
"I'm gonna go grab a drink." Ginny said her voice floating by. You nodded distractedly , your attention held captive by Theo.
As if sending your presence behind him , he turned his head around and met your eyes. Slight confusion marred his face making his eyebrows furrow. He hadn’t expected you to be here.
Signalling to you with a quick nod of his head, he excused himself from his group of friends and made his way to his dorms. You stayed down for a couple more minutes , getting yourself a drink to throw off suspicion.
“Hey, I didn’t think you’d come tonight. Ginny change your mind?” Pansy popped out of the blue , startling you.
“Uh.. Pansy, hey. Yeah you know how Gin is.” Pansy was a bit of a talker. Aware that this conversation could go on forever , you tried to come up with an excuse. “Hey listen, I’ve got to use the bathroom real quick. I’ll find you again alright?”
Not waiting for a response , you made your way in the direction of the bathrooms and took a sharp turn in the opposite direction once you made sure Pansy had redirected her attention. Sneaking up the stairway to the boys dorm, you took a moment for yourself outside Theo’s dorm room, straightening out your clothes.
“Took you long enough.” His voice drawled as you entered his room, the familiar surroundings providing a sense of comfort.
“Pansy almost started a conversation.” You said laughing lightly at his wide eyed expression.
“Didn’t take you long then.” He corrected his previous statement , prowling towards you.
“No. I guess it didn’t.”
Wrapping an arm around your waist, he pulled you into a searing kiss that had you holding onto his shirt for balance. The words 'I missed you' played at the tip of your tongue struggling to be let out.
He nipped at your lower lip , a breathy sigh leaving you as you tangled your hands in his hair.
"Cormac Mc fuckin Laggen? Seriously?" Theo muttered , lowering his head to place soft kisses across your jaw. Leaning your head back to give him more access, you let out a soft laugh. "That's exactly what I said. Ginny is the real culprit."
A strangled moan left your lips as he sucked at your neck, immediately soothing it with a sloppy kiss. "T-Theo..you idiot. That's gonna leave a mark." He just hummed in response seemingly lost in the pleasure. Tugging his head back, you made him meet your gaze head on.
"If we stay up here for any longer, they'll suspect." A shiver passed through you as his hands trailed lower and cupped you arse, pulling your hips to his. "Let them." he said dropping his head to capture your lips once more.
"THEO, YOU IN THERE ??" Blaise Zabini's voice boomed through the door making you jump. A string of Italian curses left Theo's mouth as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Yeah give me a minute!"
Cupping your face in his hands, he leaned down to your face placing you at eye level. "It'll all be over soon alright? We won't have to hide anymore. We can be free." The promise in his eyes lit a spark of hope within you, a rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins.
"Soon." you whispered , your eyes fluttering shut as you placed a kiss on his Dark Mark.

Fuck your boyfriend, he’s a bitch.
Barbie dolls: Mattheo riddle x you
Word count: 3k-ish
Summary: your boyfriend Cormac is a piece of shit and Mattheo is tired of him totally most definitely not inspired by this sound
Warnings: Theo is called a spaghetti whore?, Cormac sucks, reader gets called a bitch, you’re friends with Pansy and she knows a lot of girls, Mattheo mentions sex, Cheating on Cormac’s side and then kinda cheating with reader bc theyre like flirtyish with Mattheo but its fineeeeeee, honestly Cormac’s kinda abusive, it gets kinda extra fanficy at the end but just consider it camp, reader punches Cormac :0, i think that’s it tbh
Your relationship with Cormac McLaggen had started as any relationship in Hogwarts did, a trip to Hogsmeade. You thought he was cute and he seemed sweet enough. So you continued to date him, much to your friends dismay. Draco complained about McLaggen's house. Blaise pointed out his habit of making obscene sexual comments to just about every girl who would breathe near him. Theo explained the time that he ran into McLaggen and Cormac called him a "spaghetti whore." Theo had a few choice words about Cormac, getting so heated he slipped entirely into Italian. You only picked up on a few words you remembered him teaching you in third year, none of which you would translate out loud. Pansy mentioned how he "sucked ass" at Quidditch. Lorenzo told you the filthiest rumors you've ever heard and truly wondered where he heard them. You were a little upset that all your friends disapproved of your new boyfriend. Mattheo had stayed silent the second Cormac's name slipped off your tongue. You turned to him, staring at him. Mattheo clicked his tongue. You didn't need him to say anything, rolling your eyes. You stood up, leaving the Slytherin common room all together.
After that your relationship was a touchy subject in your friend group. Often you'd all just ignore it entirely. When Cormac would interrupt, which was more frequent than you liked, everyone would fall silent and glare at him as he tugged you out of your seat. Though sometimes they would bring it up with you, every one of them always had some bad words to say about your boyfriend. Everyone, except Mattheo. He never spoke about it. Though that didn't mean Mattheo's point wasn't known. Often if Cormac's face was shown or even mentioned, all of a sudden Mattheo went silent. He was clenching his jaw, rolling his eyes, and clicking his tongue every two minutes. If he wasn't showing his hatred physically, Lorenzo or Theo would be reporting back to you. Theo always told you all the distasteful names Mattheo called Cormac. Lorenzo always told you the different ways Mattheo planned on torturing your boyfriend. No matter what he told the boys, Mattheo never said anything to you.
Until now.
You had planned on spending the weekend with your friends, whether that meant a sleepover, almost sacrificing Draco, or teaching Theo how to play charades. You thought it would be fine by Cormac because he never asked you out or made plans with you. You had a spectacular time with them. Just one hour with your friends and you were already feeling the stresses of your school week wash away. All of you laying in the courtyard grass as Draco ranted about his god awful experiences this week. Theo popping in his opinion every few minutes but the group was still filled with laughs and giggles. You were sat at the bottom of the tree you were all scattered around. It was peaceful and happy until you heard someone stopping towards you, the shuffling of a bulky Quidditch uniform. You peered around the tree to see Cormac storming towards you. Your friends noticed your sudden stiffness, looking to the source of the noise. You heard most of them groan.
"Not this bitch again." Blaise muttered.
"Stronzo" Theo whispered under his breath.
"I have got to get my father to hire an assassin." You rolled your eyes at Draco. You heard the muttering of Cormac approaching closer to you. He finally reached you, tapping you roughly on your shoulder. You looked up at him and smiled.
"Why hello, lovely boyfriend. Whatever can I do for you?" You wished your friends had chuckled or laughed but they all winced.
"Save it." Cormac grunted, pulling you up by your forearm. You quickly grabbed the strap to your bag, hauling it over your shoulder. Cormac noticed his glaring crowd of Slytherins. He leaned into your ear before angrily whispering to you.
"What happened to watching your Lovely boyfriend at Quidditch practice? Hm? 'Stead of watching me you're over here dicking around with your freak friends."
"Don't call them freaks."
"Shut up, do not interrupt me when I'm talking. You know my family has a saying? If a bitch doesn't know their place, beat them into it-" Cormac's grip on your arm tightened. You glanced down at his knuckles whitening.
"That's enough out of you Cormac." You looked up at Mattheo. This was truly the first time he said something disapproving of Cormac in front of you. Cormac rolled his eyes, tugging on your arm for you to follow him.
"Release their arm, you incomplete little dickhead." Pansy said, standing up next to Mattheo. You glanced around as all of your friends began to stand up. You suddenly felt like you were watching a children's movie and they were all going to break into song and dance. You wrenched your arm out of Cormac's grasp, stomping off to the Quidditch pitch. Cormac chasing after you and chiding you. You watched Cormac's practice, you cheered, and you ignored your friends for two days straight.
When you did return to them they didn't mention your boyfriend but they kept reminding you of how they supported you. Draco told you he'd hire a very good assassin for you if you gave him the word. No one mentioned Cormac's name but all of a sudden your friends were mentioning their deadliness. You told them you could handle yourself. You didn't need your friends to fight your battles. Sure Cormac said some odd things but it had been a particularly bad day for him. He treated you greatly but he just had a rough time and mishandled it that day. Pansy told you on your next birthday she was gifting you with Cormac's skull. Through all of their planned homicides, Mattheo stayed quiet.
At first you appreciated his silence because at least he wasn't telling you how he'd brutally murder your boyfriend. Now you were annoyed. You used to talk to him all the time, spending all your free time with him. Now Mattheo couldn't even look you in your eye when Cormac was mentioned. With more of Cormac’s appearances, the less Mattheo talked to you. Not only was he neglecting your friendship now he was neglecting to speak to you. You were starting to wish he'd tell you all the ways he'd decapatate Cormac just so he'd talk to you. So you hung out with your friends less. Their constant gorey talk and Mattheo's silence just made it difficult for you to sit through a conversation with them.
It'd been weeks since you last talked to them. You missed them but you had a feeling if you returned they'd make a stink about it. You saw them in the halls while Comarc walked you to wherever he wanted. Mattheo always grimaced at Cormac's hand on the back of your neck, dodging your eyes. Cormac seemed to trip suddenly when Pansy reached into her pocket. So you avoided them like the plague.
Weeks later, You placed your books back where you found them, humming to yourself. You had spent the whole day in the library. You sat in the window nook. Your stacks of read books growing taller around you. You didn't fully finish most of them but you skimmed them and that was enough for you. It felt nice to be alone and peaceful. No Cormac. No Mattheo. No drama. No Quidditch practice. No "oh come watch me arm wrestle Fred Weasley I'm going to beat him." And then lose nonsense. Just you, a peaceful room, and a good couple hundred of books.
"Hey baby, come here often?" And in comes Mattheo. You glanced behind yourself. He was leaning against a bookshelf, looking through the titles of your books.
"Oooh sorry handsome, I have a boyfriend. Awe." He smiled at you, happy to have you joking back with him. Mattheo rolled his eyes at you, remembering that you mentioned Cormac.
"Fuck your boyfriend. He's a bitch. You can do better." You sighed picking up more off your floating stack of books. You did not respond. Mattheo followed after you, taking a few books off the top himself.
"You know how at store if you buy something you can return it and swap it out for a new one? You can do that with your funk ass boyfriend too."
"Mm hm yeah, whatever you say Matty." You flicked your wand. Your books flying off the stack back towards their home. Mattheo held his stack out towards you. You snatched the books out of his hands, sending them back to their original spot.
"Come on, baby. We miss you. Not your skank ass boyfriend but that's besides the point. Come on are you really going to cut your friends out because your boyfriend is all "be my slave, suck my dick, make me dinner my tummy's rumbling"?" Mattheo stuck his arms out and wobbled like a zombie as he mocked Cormac. You deadpanned at him.
"Yes. That is exactly how my partner treats me." You said laced with severe sarcasm. Mattheo pointed at you.
"See. I'm glad you've realized that. But seriously, there's no way he treats you well. His middle name is Cornelius." You glared at Mattheo as you finished putting back your last book. You stifled your laugh and schooled your features. Mattheo caught it though, his grin growing.
"I mean does he even listen to the Smiths thinking of you?"
"Which one? Girlfriend in a Coma?" Mattheo’s face fell as he glared at you. Not the same one he sent to Cormac, this one was softer around the edges.
"Ha. Ha. Baby, come on. Does he even fantasize about your future together? Does he even get sick to his stomach thinking of how much he cares for you? Does he ever just look at you? To watch how pretty you are? Or does he just look at you when you can give him something?" You thought for a moment. You started to realize how little Cormac actually did for you. You covered up your concerns with a bright smile.
"Don't you have friends? Or do you only bother poor defenseless people in the library?" Mattheo rolled his eyes. He leaned against the table behind him.
"Mm hm. Listen baby, you can call me if you need anything. To beat up your-"
"Just say boyfriend"
"Punk ass boyfriend, if you feel lonely, if you need to get rid of a body, if McLaggen can't figure out how to make you cum and you need a very enthusiastic dildo, if you want arsenic to kill McLaggen, whatever I'm here for you." Mattheo gently grabbed your wrist and tugged you closer to him. He rubbed your back as he stared up at you with puppy eyes.
“If he hears you talking like that I think he’ll have your head.” You whispered to him. Mattheo shrugged. You intertwined your fingers behind Mattheo’s head. His fingers gently tracing shapes on your back. Cormac was never gentle. He always tapped you a little too hard, pulled you roughly, yanked on your clothes until you heard stitches pop. Mattheo would take his time with you while Cormac would always try to get something out of you the fastest. He always felt like he was racing against his own personal best to see how fast he could ruin your day. Mattheo tilted his head gaining your attention again.
“Could not care less about that little-“ you pressed your finger to his lips. Mattheo closed his mouth.
“I have to go.”
“To him?” You rolled your eyes at Mattheo.
“Yes I have to go, I have a date with my boyfriend.” Mattheo nodded. Just as you were about to pass him entirely, he reached out and caught your wrist.
“If he says anything to you, I mean anything. Friendly reminder; I keep my wand with me and I’m fully ready to Avada McLaggen.” It felt strange with him saying such terrible things while staring at you with such warm eyes.
“I love it when you talk dirty.” You whispered. Mattheo groaned and released your hand. He stood up from his seat on the table and disappeared behind the bookshelves. You smiled as you left to Library off to your date.
You truly tried to ignore Mattheo’s words. It’s like when you walk into someone’s home and all you smell is dog but they can’t smell anything. You become so accustomed to the smell you don’t even recognize it. Well Cormac’s shameful behavior was the dog smell and Mattheo was pointing it out. All of a sudden you started noticing things. You saw how anytime you decided to do something on your own he’d get upset. Asking if you were going to go see your “freaky Slytherin friends”. He never looked at you unless he was thinking about undressing you. You always felt cold under his eyes like you were vulnerable. Mattheo was right, McLaggen sucked. So you decided that was it. Only problem was figuring out how to end it.
You sent Pansy a long winded letter, apologizing to her and the boys, begging, crying, and plotting your breakup. You watched her as she stared at the letter on her plate from Cormac’s side. Cormac was squeezing your shoulder, always a little too hard. As Pansy started reading while pushing the nosey boys away, a smile grew. When she finished the letter she glanced over at you. Pansy grinned at you as hid your smile with McLaggen’s cloak. Pansy denied showing the boys her private letter, stuffing it into her pocket. She met you where you told her to in your letter and you both spent the night plotting. Pansy knew a girl, who knew a girl, who knew a girl, who knew a girl, who knew a girl, and that girl knew McLaggen. According to Pansy’s informants McLaggen has a crush on some Ravenclaw. Luckily Pansy also knew this girl. Pansy seemed to know a lot of girls. Pansy talked to this Ravenclaw and this Ravenclaw happened to be what Pansy would call a “girls girl.”
Here’s the plan: Ravenclaw Girl will wear her best dress. You will convince Cormac to go to this party. You’ll ask him to go get you a drink. At the drink station, Ravenclaw Girl will flirt with Cormac. He’s utter garbage so of course he’ll reciprocate. Ravenclaw Girl will ask him to follow her up to her room. You’ll wait a couple minutes and all of a sudden oh no where ever has your boyfriend gone best go look for him and now you’ve walked in on your unfaithful lover. Stage a scene in front of everyone, he probably calls you a couple bad names, you breakup and you’re back in business. You’ll be back with your freaky slytherin friends, flirting with Mattheo as friends of course, and calling Cormac every atrocious name in the book.
So the night of the party you dress in the best outfit you knew Cormac wouldn’t fuss about. It was going to be a great terrible night. You hadn’t felt this much excitement since before your god awful relationship started. Cormac complained about the stairs as you both made your way to the party. The music was too loud, the lights were too bright, the people stank too much, but nothing could bring you down. You were beaming even though you spent the first hour sitting on a blue velvet couch tucked under Cormac’s arm. Finally, you pointed out to Cormac you were a little thirsty. He groaned and stood up, moving to the drinks. You watched him from across the room. A beautiful girl with braids that turned blue at the ends approached him.
You understood Cormac’s attraction, she was stunning. Her hair reached just past the small of her back. She had dramatic, sweeping, bright blue winged eyeliner and a blue dress that swayed with her movements. It stopped at her mid thigh, trimmed with black lace. You would cheat on Cormac with her any day. You smothered your grin as you saw her gently tug him up the stairs of the girls dormitroys.
You waited a few minutes. You caught Pansy’s eyes across the room. She gave you a sinful grin and mimicked it. You looked around you. “Searching” for your faithful boyfriend.
“Oh boyfriend, where have you gone? Boyfriend where ever did you go? Oh no I can’t seem to find my lovely boyfriend, Cormac. Best go check the dorms.” You whispered to yourself. You stood and slowly made your way upstairs. You wanted to give Cormac plenty of time to get comfortable with Ravenclaw Girl. You flung open the door Ravenclaw Girl had marked with her necklace around the handle. Cormac had his tongue down her throat his hands squeezing her thighs. You gasped loudly.
“Oh. My. God.” The girl pulled back and gasped just as you did. She covered her mouth with her hands. Cormac spun around and his face fell when he looked at you. He tried to explain this away but all his excuses sounded like an extravagant way to say I tripped and fell I didn’t mean to. You let him have it. You screamed at him. You pulled out the waterworks. You stormed away from him. He followed you still trying to explain this whole situation away. The girl followed after him wanting to see this up close and personal. You spun around when you reached the middle of the stairs, visible to everyone. You called him every name in the book.
“You lying, cheating, filthy, disgusting, revolting, bastard.” You raised an octave with each insult. You saw the people around you turn to look out of the corner of your eye. Cormac tried to get a word in but you cut him off . You spilled everything how he had you working, spending all your time taking care of him and he couldn’t even have the decency to be faithful. Pansy joined you at your side, rubbing your back and glaring at Cormac. You kept yelling and scolding halfway through you noticed most of the crowd had gathered around. You kept shouting and when you finally let everything out you stared at Cormac as you caught your breath. He opened his mouth the second you closed yours. Cormac called you every degrading name he could think of. It didn’t bother you, he said them all before. Then he said it, he crossed the line.
“You hate yourself so much instead of being with a high value male like myself you’d rather fuck the disgusting freak that is Voldemort’s child” You felt your blood boil. You were going to kill Cormac McLaggen. Just not today, maybe tomorrow. You swung and hit him in the nose. Cormac’s head shot back as he quickly gripped his nose. The crowd oooed. Pansy gasped and let out an excited squeal. You heard your friends cheering.
“That’s my fucking girl.” You rolled your eyes at Mattheo’s yells and turned towards Pansy.
“Ready to go?” She nodded. As you turned to walk away Cormac spoke up from his place leaning on the stairs banister.
“I’ll gut you like a fish, and keep your-“ Mattheo’s drink flew at McLaggen’s face, drenching him.
“God just shut your mouth already.” Mattheo added, joining you at your side. The rest of the boys followed after you each stopping by McLaggen to toss in an insult. Blaise had to drag Theo away. Apparently that spaghetti whore comment still made his blood boil. Even the Ravenclaw Girl tossed in one, following after your group.
“You’re really hot when you punched your boyfriend in the face.” Mattheo whispered next to your ear as you all pushed through the crowd.
“Ex-boyfriend. And trust me I know.” You patted Mathheo’s cheek.

a christmas reunion ♤
pairing: ex!harry james potter x wolfstar daughter!reader warnings: mentions of alcohol, slight cursing, weirdo cormac summary: reader gets invited to a christmas party reunion of hogwarts students by pansy parkinson, she didn't expect to find and rekindle with an old flame song: a nonsense christmas - sabrina carpenter
-------------------------------------------------------
Storage, check. Keys, check. Personal belongings, check. The only thing left was turning off the lights and then the bookshop would be officially closed for the holiday. I took a quick scan around the place to make sure I didn't forget anything, then my eyes landed on the letter on top of the register counter.
Ah, right. The invitation.
I sighed and walked towards the counter to grab the letter. I looked at the neat and all too familiar handwriting addressing the letter to my bookshop. Opening it again for the second time that day, I was met with the same message.
Dear, Y/N.
Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas time, if you're not too busy tomorrow, I'm hosting a Christmas party down at the club.
It's reserved for Hogwarts students era '91 only, with some exceptions.
Would be happy if you could join, party starts at eight, ends whenever it ends.
Hoping to see you there!!
PS. the dresscode is everything and anything Christmas
From, Pansy Parkinson.
I knew that I wasn't going to go. After graduating from Hogwarts and opening my own bookshop, I haven't really spoken to any of my Hogwarts friends. With the exception of Pansy and Hermione (who sometimes come in to my bookshop). I have even lost contact with him.
Shoving the letter to my bag, I turned off the lights and walked out of the shop, before locking the door with the shop key. Snow immediately fell down and rested itself onto my hair, I walked to my car and drove home to my apartment in London.
I intended to relax and enjoy this Christmas eve by having some hot chocolate and watching classic Christmas movies in bed. Mid way through my movie and hot cocoa, my phone rang. When I saw the caller ID, I picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Y/N! Happy Christmas eve!" a familiar cheery voice from the other line called out, "Did you get my invitation?"
I chuckled, "Yes, Pansy. I got your invitation personally delivered by an owl coming into my shop this morning."
"Great, you're coming, right?"
"Uhmmm...." I paused the movie while waiting for her reaction.
"Oh, come on! Don't be such a Grinch."
I scoffed, "Excuse me? I am not anywhere near a Grinch, Pansy Parkinson. I am a very festive person."
"Then come to my party tomorrow! Wouldn't it be fun to have a little Hogwarts Christmas reunion?"
I sighed, "I don't know, Pans. It's been such a long time since we all saw each other. I'm 23 damn years old now, it's been quite some time."
"Woman! That's exactly why I'm hosting this reunion party—Merlin's beard, you never changed." she gave a chuckle.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" I laughed.
She sighed, "Look, just give it some thought. Okay? You don't have to socialize if you don't want to, you can hangout with me."
"Mhm..." I say unconvinced, "Fine, I'll think about it. But I made no promises, alright?"
I can practically hear her smiling through the phone, "Okay, great! I'm counting on it. Anyway, have a great Christmas eve, bye!"
"You too, Pans." I hang up the phone and continued my movie without having any second thought about the party.
But as I tried to sleep that night, thoughts about the party went over my head. Should I go or should I not? Will I regret it after if I didn't go? I decided to sleep it off and make up my mind on Christmas morning.
The next day, I got up earlier to get into the Christmas spirit. I put on some music while I make myself some special breakfast, and when the doorbell rang, I open it to find a delivery man handing me a wrapped present. It was from my dads. The famously known Lupin-Black couple.
I quickly read the christmas card, tearing up at what my papa wrote and silently laughing at what my dad wrote. I really miss them, but I am coming back home for the new years. I put the card aside and opened the box to reveal a pair of beautiful snowflake dangly earrings.
They were absolutely beautiful, I love how they always know what to pick for me. I store them inside my jewelry box and made a mental note to thank them later. After I finished my breakfast and did all of my morning routine, a notification came from the online daily prophet.
Have a very Merry Christmas to all witches
and wizards everywhere!!
To make this day even more festive and fun, all
Hogwarts alumni from '91 are invited to
a Christmas party down at Amortentia.
Get ready to dress up, get drunk, and have a
blast from the past for a reunion!
I click on the notification to find more details about the party. Damn, Pansy really went all out for this. My mind hasn't made up on whether I should go or not, although deep down I knew it wouldn't be so bad to go.
Driven by temptation, I walk over to my closet and look through my very minimum collection of dresses. None of the dresses were Christmassy enough, till I caught my eye on an unopened dress.
It was a red fluffy dress with sparkles all over the fabric, it had a bow around the waist, with a puffy short sleeve to complete the look. I had never worn it before, but it did scream Christmas.
Standing in front of the mirror, I held up the dress to my body and looked at myself up and down. I would look good in it. After some considerable thought I decided that I'm going to that Christmas party. It's not like I'm going just to see if a certain someone is going to be there...
Around seven, I took a shower and got ready. I put on the dress and did my makeup. I wore those snowflake earrings my dads bought for me, did a little crown braid over my hair, and put on a pair of shoes.
Looking at myself once more, I grabbed my purse and wand, put on my big warm coat, then headed out the door. I wasn't going to spend any money on an uber car when I have my own, though I hated driving in the snow.
When I got there, I could already hear party music coming out from the building. A big LED sign that says "Amortentia", Pansy's own personal bar. After locking my car and taking off my coat, I walk towards the door which had a sign that says "Closed for private party."
As I open the door to enter, the bouncer stopped me and asked me for my invitation. Luckily, I had it with me in my purse. He made sure it was the right invitation and he let me in. Christmas party music immediately blasted in my ear as I stepped into the place.
The place was decorated for Christmas, for obvious reasons. I've personally never had been in Pansy's bar since she opened it, I would be lying if I say I wasn't impressed. The place had a huge dance floor and a big bar. A wave of magic energy flew through me, it feels good to be surrounded by wizards again.
"Merlin's beard, Y/N/N! So glad you decided to come!" I heard Pansy yell through the noisy crowd as she walks towards me with a glass of presumably firewhiskey in her hand.
"Hey, Pans. The place looks great! It's way bigger than I imagined." I smiled, "You look very pretty, by the way."
"Awe, thanks babe. Don't even get me started on how you look." she looked at me up and down, "Damn. Anyway, come with me."
Before I could even say anything, she was already dragging me while sipping on her drink. Not a second later, I was by the bar and saw Pansy's slytherin friends. Don't get me wrong, they're my friends as well, but it's been a long time since we ever said a word to each other.
"Look who I brought!" Pansy said in a sing-song voice to her friends, all of their eyes immediately went on me.
"Lupin-Black! Long time no see!" Theodore Nott greeted me with a smile, which I returned back.
Blaise Zabini gave me a fist bump and Draco Malfoy, didn't seem to change, just gave me a nod to indicate that he senses my presence. My anxious self slowly began to calm as I started to talk with them, casually looking around as well and seeing a bunch of familiar faces.
I couldn't help but feel the desperate need to catch a sight of a specific face, a face I knew I would recognize from far away. But no matter how hard I looked, I couldn't seem to find him. Pansy seemed to notice me glancing over my shoulder a few times, so she asked.
"Looking for someone?"
I was brought back to my senses and looked at her, "Hm? No, no one."
"Oh come on, really? You're giving me bullshit for my Christmas present?"
"Ha. Ha. Very funny, but seriously—I'm not looking for anyone." I defended myself.
She sipped her glass, "Alright, if you say so. But just for your information, I did send an invitation to him. So there might be a chance he's here."
I raised an eyebrow and she rolled her eyes, "Stop pretending, Y/N/N. I know who you're looking for and you don't have to be ashamed to say that you're looking for Potter."
My eyes widened as I attempt to shut her up, "Shh! Are you mad?! Don't say that out loud or people might hear and think I'm obsessed with him or something."
"Aren't you...?" she asked lowly, I fought the urge to smack her across the face.
"Pansy. Please. I'm over him, besides he's with Ginny, isn't he?"
She shrugged, "I wouldn't be so sure of that."
The rest of the night surprisingly went very well. I eventually got brave enough to talk to some old friends and had fun on the dance floor with them, it felt good to reminisce on the feeling of having secret booze parties at Hogwarts. It also felt good to drink firewhiskey again.
When I was sitting at one of the couches in the corner, resting my feet from dancing and walking around, I felt an uncomfortable presence beside me. I had a guess on who it might be before even looking at the person.
"Merry Christmas! It's Y/N, right? Hufflepuff? It's been a while, you look hot now." the person said.
I mentally rolled my eyes, "Uhm...yeah."
"You remember me, right? Cormac Mclaggen." he introduced himself, I simply nodded my head.
He scooched himself a bit closer to him, swinging his hand behind so he could touch my shoulder. I avoided his gaze as much as I could. Dear Merlin, get me out of this place.
"Say, what are you doing tonight? Want to maybe come by my place?" he said with a very forced seductive voice.
I held in a breath, "Uhm....I'm good, Cormac."
"I could maybe buy you a drink?" this man would never give up until I agree on something to do with him, would he.
To my surprise, a voice called out from behind me. A familiar voice, "Sorry, she's here with me."
Cormac seemed to be taken aback, he inched away from me before then walking away like nothing happened. I sighed and stood up to face the person who saved me, "Thanks for that.."
He smiled and nodded his head, "No problem. Can't believe Parkinson invited him to the party, but I guess she invited everyone with no exceptions."
I couldn't help but take a good look at him. He had grown a few inches taller since I last saw him, his brown fluffy hair stayed the same, his body had gotten more fit too. But the thing that mesmerized me the most were his eyes. Those green beautiful eyes. Same as ever.
"How are you, Harry?"
"I've been doing well. I mean—yeah, being head auror isn't an easy job, I almost get zero hours of sleep everyday. But hey, it's the holidays, and I'm surviving" he laughed.
God, I miss him. A lot.
"What about you? I heard that your bookshop's the best in London. I wouldn't be surprised about that, truthfully."
I chuckled, "That might be a little overreacting. But I'm doing really good as well. But I feel the most happy tonight, it's been a while since I'm surrounded by my kind of people."
"I'm surrounded by them everyday. But it's been a while since I saw you." he looked at me and I swear my heart plummeted down to my feet.
Harry and I had a thing back then, it went from third year until the fifth. He was my best friend first, I got along with him and Ron and Hermione really well. He was my first kiss and my first time, but we never addressed our relationship. In other words, our relationship was messy.
It was never clear what we were supposed to be, more like a 'friends with benefits' type of thing, that's why it just kind of fell apart at sixth year. He had a thing for Ginny and started dating her, leaving me heartbroken, but not really surprised.
But seeing him now, looking as good as ever, made me rethink about what we were back then. Making me feel like I wanted him again. But I pushed that thought aside.
He's with someone. You can't do this, it's Christmas.
"I was watching you all night, you here with anyone?" he asked. He was watching me all night?
"No, no one. I even didn't want to go in the first place, but Pansy convinced me. I'm not with anyone, or seeing anyone, for that matter. Just—by myself is all."
Why does it feel like I'm trying to make it super extra fucking clear that I'm not in a relationship or even as close to seeing anyone? He wouldn't care for that...would he?
"Oh...I see." he said, I could somehow see his body relaxing a bit after hearing my answer.
"What about you? Last time I heard you and Ginny are engaged?" I took an unnoticed gulp.
He chuckled at that, "Oh no, you're way behind on the news. We broke it off a long time ago. It wasn't working. We kept arguing and bringing the worst out of each other."
Oh. He's single.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, I was really happy when I heard about the engagement. I thought you two would've already been married by now.."
He shrugged, "Thinking back now I think I was a little rushed, I'm not ready to be married just yet. Not when I've not gotten the right one." he looked straight at me with a warm smile that managed to make my heart go 'badump'.
"Anyway, what are we both doing here when we could dance while drinking firewhiskey." he broke off the tension, "Dance with me?"
He stretched out his hand and bowed down a bit, smirking up at me and waiting for me to take his hand. What a dork. I laughed and took his hand then he lead me to the dance floor. While we were dancing, he got us both a glass that floated itself to our hands.
I ended up spending the rest of the party with him. Dancing, drinking, laughing, telling stories, everything. It felt like we were both fifteen year olds again, too nervous to label our relationship, but knowing how we felt towards each other deep down.
"How are Sirius and Remus, by the way? Haven't seen them in a very long time." he asked while the party slowly started to die down.
"They're very well. I plan to go home for the new years, you could join me if you'd like." I widened my eyes a few seconds after realizing what I had said, I think the drunkness is slowly getting to me.
"I mean not like....you know. I mean you said you haven't seen them in a long time, so I thought maybe if you would...I don't know—"
He bursts out laughing at how I panicked, "Hey, relax! I wasn't thinking anything like that. I would love to join you, message me about the date and stuff. It'll be fun."
He conjured a piece of paper and a pen then wrote something on it then giving it to me, "Here's my number."
I took it and stared at it, realizing that I indeed did not have his number ever since I got a phone. I smiled and nodded at him, putting the paper in my purse. After another hour, we decided that it was enough partying. So we walked around to try and find Pansy to inform her that we were heading out.
"Y/N/N, there you are! I was looking all over for—oh...I see." Pansy said once we found her, smirking at the both of us, "Had fun?"
"Yeah, the party was a lot of fun. Thanks, Pans. We're going to head out now, I can't have any more drinks or I can't go home." I chuckled.
She continued smirking at us, "Uh huh. Stay safe you two, drive home safely."
After that, we both head on out and was met with the quiet cold air instead of the loud party music once again. I was freezing cold, I shouldn't have put my coat in the car. Harry seemed to notice as he started to take off his own coat.
"Here, wear this." he wrapped his coat around my body and stood there as if he's not freezing to death.
"What about you? I have my own coat, it's just in my car." I said but he just shook his head.
"It's alright, just bring it back to me when we go to your dads for the new years. I'm not that cold anyways."
I chuckled and held onto the coat tighter, "Thank you, Harry. Really. Thank you for hanging out with me at the party as well."
He smiled, "No worries. Truthfully, I wanted to talk to you ever since you stepped in. I saw when you just arrived, but I didn't say anything."
He paused for a few seconds and gulped before continuing, "I just wanted to say that you look extremely pretty tonight. You've always looked pretty, honestly. And uhm...I'm really glad I got to see you again tonight."
I tried so hard not to blush, but it probably wouldn't even show because my cheek and nose were already red from the cold, "I'm really glad I got to see you too, Harry."
We then said goodbye to each other and started to walk our separate ways to our own cars, but then he took my hand and turned me around before giving me a light kiss on the cheek.
"Sorry, couldn't let you leave without doing that." he said quietly.
I stood there, shocked. Smiling shyly and didn't do anything but nod my head slowly, "Alright, bye for now...Get home safe." he said as he walked away and waved.
I kept staring at him until I saw him apparate. I touched my cheek and couldn't help but smile widely. I don't know what in Merlins name just happened but whatever it is, I'm glad I came to this Christmas reunion party.

Friends? - Theodore Nott
Warnings: English is not my first language,sorry for any spelling mistakes. Underage drinking,bit of angst, Cormac Mclaggen
Pairing:Theo Nott x fem!reader
Summary: You and Theo have this situationship, where you like each other,but don't know how to say it,so you stay as "friends".
a/n: this is my first imagine,I didn't like it that much,but I hope you guys like it<3
It's not a secret for anyone that you and Theo have something going on between you too, everybody know that you guys like eachother,but when will you two finally realize that your feelings are equivalent?
You were in the Slytherin's common room,there was a party going on, Slytherin won a quidditch game against Gryffindor. Theo was by your side,one hand in your thigh and the other on your waist. Now you're talking with Pansy.
"Did you see Potter's face? It was hilarious" "I know right? Draco really did a good job today" you said as you feel Theo tightening his grip on you.
"Only Draco did a good job,love?" You feel Theo whispering on your ear,"You know you did a good job too, Theo! I'm proud of you" you whispered back and then pansy said"I will get a drink now,bye lovebirds "
Theo starts kissing you at the same time as Pansy go away "I missed you,cara mia" " I missed you too Theo,but you can't just keep doing things like that in public,y'know? We're not a couple,and acting like that will make people think that we're dating"
"And what is the problem in that?" "The problem is that we aren't dating Theo! We're nothing more than friends and you have to put that in your mind" Theo's face gets serious and then he says " Alright then,if you don't want me to do it in public,I won't do it,but I think we should stop this, y'know "
"What do you mean stop this?" "We should stop kissing and etc,y'know,that's not really a thing that 'friends' are supposed to do" "Alright,if that's what you want. I'm going to crab a drink"
[...]
2 weeks passed since you and Theo had that argument,and still you two haven't talked with each other,even your friends thinks this is bullshit and that you two are being stubborn,but you two don't seen to care. You try to show you don't care,but you've been distant of your friend group recently,and at this point,you think everyone in the group already knows what happened between you and Theo, after telling Pansy about,you knew all the group would know about it too.
This days you even avoided eating with them in the lunch, actually, you've been avoiding going to the great hall.
Now you're in potion class,you're sitting with Cedric,your best friend,even if he's a hufflepuff, you've been friends since forever.
"I think you two like each other,but don't admit it,and keep saying 'oh we're friends,and nothing more' and all this shit,but deep inside,you guys know you're made for each other. You haven't been smiling that much,since you two had that argument and in my opinion,you should talk to each other"
"I know Ced,I like him,but we're just friends and I bet he doesn't even think of me that way"
"You're a dummy for thinking like this"
[...]
More weeks passed by,and you still haven't talked with Theo. You're always looking at each other from across the room,but none of you would say a word.
Today it was having another party,but this one was with the all the Hogwarts's houses.
You were with Cedric,but you got thirsty "Ced,I'm going to grab a drink,okay?" "Okay,I'll be here" "Don't worry,you can go to Cho" "Alright,if you need anything,I'll come as fast as I can"
You went to the kitchen,got your drink and when you were going back to where the party was going on, someone stopped you. "Hello there, beautiful" Cormac smiled at you "Uhm.. hi Cormac,do you need something?" "Just thought that maybe we could hang out some time,love" he says as he get closer "I don't want to, Cormac" "Come on beautiful,you know you want me too" he put his hands on your waist "Get off of me, Cormac " "Oh,come on lov-"
"She said to get off of her" "Come on,mate! You haven't even talked in weeks,so don't bother us"
Theo punched him and said "get out of here before I kill you, idiot"
You and Theo watch as Cormac get out of the kitchen "are you okay?" "Yeah,uhm... I think I'm fine,thank you for helping me" you smile at Theo "Anytime... I missed you "
"I missed you too Theo"
"Your smile is beautiful"
You chuckle "Thank you"
"Listen,I love you,okay? There isn't a time at the day that I don't think about you,you're beautiful,not only your the way you look,but your personality too, you're funny,gentle and very sweet to other, which don't match with Slytherin 'mean personality',and that shows that we don't necessarily need to be mean,and I love the way you smile,I love your hair,and I love your eyes,I love everything in you. And say that we're just friends,but I'm catching across the room,always. You're always in my mind,and I don't know if you feel the same way,you probably don't,but I don't see myself without you"
"Theo,I love you too,so so much,I didn't tell you sooner because I thought you didn't feel the same way I did,and I didn't want to finish what we had,because for me,it was better to stay like that,than lose you forever"
"Your not going to lose me,your the most precious thing I have in my life and I will not let you go"
Theo kisses you while pulling you by your waist,he grabs your thighs put you on the counter,while the kiss get more heated as he pulls you closer. You put one hand in his neck and the other under his shirt.
"Wow,looks like you finally spoke to each other again,huh?" Pansy said chuckling

Mattheo x Y/N x Theo

A/N: Now what in the hell got into me that I decided to write this after years of not writing? Not proof-read! I literally wrote this in less than an hour. I think my spirit guides are telling me something.
The party music boomed through the Slytherin common room.
Y/N leaned against the wall, cradling a cup of fire whiskey, as she chatted quietly with Pansy.
"...so then Flitwick pairs me up with Finnigan. Well, that idiot has to try and show off doesn't he?" Y/N took another sip of her drink. " The next thing I know, he's blown up the cup and I'm covered in soot and vinegar. It took me three showers to get the smell out of my hair."
Pansy threw her head back laughing, " That's why you took so long? All this time I thought your boys had cornered you in the showers again."
"I wish." Y/N peered around the busy room filled with dancing bodies. "I wonder what’s taking them so long?."
"McGonagall kept Blaise and Draco back after their lesson so they couldn't get snacks from the kitchen," Pansy explained. "They're trying to sneak in now and get some."
“Well I hope they hurry back,” Y/N pouted “I could use some hugs after this shitty day.”
“Looks like your day's about to get shitter.” Pansy nodded over the top of her cup towards the dance floor.
Y/N's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to see what her best friend was gesturing at. A groan escaped her lips as Cormac McLaggen pushed his way through the crowd towards her. The boy had been pestering her all year despite her constant rejections.
“For Merlin's sake,” Y/N turned her back to the Gryffindor, hoping he wouldn't spot her.
“I thought you told him you were seeing Mattheo and Theo?”
“I did!” Y/N carded her hand through her hair, frustrated. “He's so thick his mind can't comprehend I'm with them both.”
“Y/N!” Cormac slurred, stumbling into Pansy and pushing her aside.
“Hey!” Pansy glared at the drunk boy, coming to stand behind Y/N, determined not to leave her alone with the creep.
Y/N gave him a tight smile. “Cormac.”
“So when are we going to go on that date?” Cormac's eyes leered up and down Y/N's body, settling on her breasts.
Y/N pulled up the neckline of her emerald green bodycon dress, crossing her arms in front of her chest. “ We're not. Remember I'm in a relationship.”
Cormac scoffed, taking a swig from his glass. “Opening your legs for half the guys in your house is not a relationship.”
Y/N mouth dropped open.
Sure, Cormac had put Y/N into more than a few uncomfortable conversations, but he had never insulted her like this.
“Pardon?’ Y/N clutched her glass tighter.
“Too far McLaggen.” Pansy gritted through clenched teeth.
“What? All I'm saying is that I can keep you well satisfied that you wouldn’t need to sleep around,” Cormac wiggled his eyebrow at Y/N suggestively.
A shiver rolled down her spine in disgust as anger overtook her. “I wouldn't date you if you were the last man on earth, McLaggen! You're a creep who needs a reality check. No self-respecting woman would go near you!”
Pansy let out a snort in agreement.
Cormac’s face flushed with anger. Lunging forward he gripped Y/N's upper arm, hard. “Self-respect? What does a whore like you know about self-respect?”
Pansy pulled out her wand and aimed it at McLaggen’s chest. “If you know what is good for you, you’ll get your hands off her!”
Pansy never got to make good on her threat before Cormac was thrown up against the wall, next to Y/N.
“Now what do we have here?” Mattheo gripped Cormac by his shirt collar.
Theo walked around Mattheo, his eyes zoning on the reddened handprint that adorned Y/N’s skin. He pulled the blond's head up by his hair, smacking the back of his head against the wall. “Looks like a prat who doesn’t know how to keep his hands to himself.”
Mattheo pulled Cormac closer, fury swimming in his eyes. “Funny. Me and Theo seem to have that problem as well.”
That was all the warning Cormac got before Mattheo punched him hard in the stomach.
McLaggen clutched his stomach as he fell to the floor. Theo took the opportunity to kick the boy in his side, making Cormac groan in pain.
Mattheo laughed, pulling Cormac up by his collar and landing another punch to his face. A few minutes passed with the two boys taking turns hitting him till Draco, Enzo, and Blaise pulled them away not wanting their friends to commit murder, at least not in front of so many witnesses.
A couple of Cormac’s friends made their way through the crowd, throwing dirty looks at the Slytherins as they helped their injured friend up.
Cormac spat blood on the floor. “Fucking pricks. You’ll pay for this.”
Mattheo tried to break from Enzo’s hold. “Yeah? Let’s go again then.”
Theo also struggled in Draco’s grip.
Y/N stepped forward, placing a calming hand on each boy’s chest. “Matty, Teddy, stop. He isn’t worth it.”
“You’re the one who isn’t worth it. Deatheater slut.” Cormac sneered as he walked backwards towards the Slytherin entrance.
The insult had all five Slytherin boys rushing forward but Cormac and his mates were already running out.
“Guys!” Y/N pulled Mattheo’s hand and held Theo’s arm. “Leave it.”
“Fucking cunt! He’s dead when I see him next.” Mattheo ran his hand through his hair.
“Look, just forget about him.” Y/N wrapped her arm around Mattheo. She pulled Theo closer, getting on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek. “Have a drink and let’s just forget this happened.”
Theo looked down into Y/N's big doe eyes and nodded, pecking her on the lips. Y/N smiled and turned to kiss Mattheo on the lips, too
***
The party ended and Y/N took Theo and Mattheo into her room. Pansy was spending the night with Blaise so the three were free to do as they wished.
Mattheo kissed Y/N deeply as Theo worked the zip off her dress, letting it pool to the floor.
“So beautiful,” He said, licking and biting her neck. Y/N moaned softly giving him more access. Mattheo took advantage of her moan and slipped his tongue inside her mouth. Y/N ran her fingers through his hair as Theo slowly moved his hands up her stomach to cup her breasts. Y/N’s couldn’t help but arch into his hands as his fingers teased her nipples. Mattheo grinned, kissing down the free side of her neck as his fingers slowly stroked from her hip and dipped past the band of her underwear.
“So wet,” He whispered hotly against her skin. Y/N’s shivered as his fingers lightly grazed her clit. “Could play with you all night like this.”
“Please Matty,” Y/N’s eyes looked at him with need as Theo kept his hands on her breasts.
“Please what baby?” Matty asked stepping back. Y/N leaned heavily against Theo who was enjoying making her senseless by just simple nipple play.
“Touch me,” Y/N whispered. “Please.”
Mattheo smirked and looked at Theo, “Look how desperate she is and we’ve barely even started.”
Y/N whimpered as Theo also took his hands off her body.
“Go lie down on the bed,” said Theo, “and spread those pretty legs for us.”
Y/N quickly made her way over to her bed and lay down as he asked. She bit her lip as she looked at them, her eyes hazy with lust, and slowly spread her legs open.
The boys couldn’t help but groan as they saw a wet spot forming on her underwear. They quickly stripped off and joined her on the bed.
Theo lay next to Y/N, his mouth quickly taking hers in a hot passionate kiss. Mattheo meanwhile, lay between her legs, slowly peeling off her underwear.
“Fuck your dripping baby,” He said as he parted her lips and blew across her clit. Y/N moaned softly into her kiss with Theo as her hands gripped his shoulders. She pulled back, Theo moving his kisses to her neck, as she looked down at Mattheo with desperation and need.
“Please Matty,” she whimpered.
“Don’t have to ask me twice,” Mattheo smirked as he licked a long strip from her hole to her clit. Y/N arched off the bed, her nails digging into Theo’s shoulders making him hiss.
“Careful principessa,” He said, marking and biting her neck.
“S-Sorry” She whimpered as Mattheo continued to suck and lick at her. He brought his mouth to her clit and sucked it, his tongue lashing at it harshly.
“Matty….gonna cum,” Y/N panted as her thighs began to shake.
Theo trailed his kisses down her chest, licking her nipple. “Cum for us pretty girl. Make a mess on Mattheo’s face.”
Y/N closed her eyes teetering on the edge. All it took was one synchronised suck, Mattheo on her clit and Theo on her nipple, for her to fall off the edge. She writhed under them moaning as pleasure flowed through her body like electricity.
Mattheo kept licking at her till she gently pushed his head away still shuddering. “Too much”
Mattheo grinned, giving her clit a kiss. “Too sensitive?”
Y/N nodded, her breathing still heavy and her face flushed.
“You're so pretty when you look like this,” said Theo, pushing hair away from her face. “All glowing and wrecked.”
Y/N looked up at him slowly catching her breath, “Want more Teddy.”
Theo smirked, “Just came and you’re already desperate for more baby?”
Y/N nodded. “Felt empty when coming. Need you inside me.”
Theo chuckled and nodded. “As you wish principessa.”
He made his way between Y/N’s legs, groaning at the wet sticky mess between her legs. “So fucking pretty. Let's see if we can make you messier when my cum is dripping out of you.”
Y/N looked at Mattheo who was watching the two intently. She held out her hand to him.
“Yes, baby?” He said, holding her hand.
“Want you in my mouth,” She whispered, her eyes falling to his hard cock. She licked her lips in anticipation.
“You sure? You want both of us at the same time.” He asked settling near her head. She nodded, reaching out for him.
“Please, want to please you both,” She said, stroking his big cock.
“Okay, baby. Take what you need.” He grabbed a pillow and placed it under her head to give her better access.
She smiled before slowly licking his cock. Her eyes flickered to Theo who was still rubbing his cock between her folds.
“You ready?” He asked. She nodded, taking Mattheo’s cock head into her mouth and sucking at the same time Theo pushed in. Both boys let out a groan.
“So fucking tight,” Theo growled, pushing in all the way to the hilt. Y/N moaned around Mattheo’s cock, the vibrations making him buck his hips. Y/N gagged slightly, making her glare at Mattheo.
“Sorry babe,” he said sheepishly before letting out a moan as she began sucking his dick again.
Theo set a hard and fast pace, pounding in her as she moaned.
“Fuck. Teddy.” She said, realising Mattheo’s dick from her mouth as looked down at Theo. “Feels so fucking good. So deep.”
Theo smirked and started thrusting harder. Y/N looked at Mattheo. “I want you to fuck my mouth.”
Mattheo raised his eyebrows. “Y-You sure?”
Y/N nodded. “Yes. Want to feel you in my throat.”
Mattheo didn’t need to be told again as he sat up on his knees and gently guided Y/N’s head to his cock. “I’ll start gently.”
Y/N nodded again, opening her mouth for him. He pushed his cock into her mouth slowly. Y/N gagged a little again but quickly relaxed her throat as she took him. Her eyes glistened with tears as she looked back at Theo.
Theo gave another hard thrust as he felt Y/N’s pussy clench around him. “You’re close, aren’t you? Can feel you squeezing me.”
Y/N hummed in approval as Mattheo fucked her mouth.
Theo brought his thumb to her clit and began rubbing it. “Cum for me baby girl.”
Y/N cried out around Mattheo’s cock as her pleasure intensified. Mattheo, feeling her cry's vibrations, picked up his speed as he throbbed. “Fuck Y/N, gonna cum too. You gonna swallow it all.”
Y/N nodded as best as she could while squeezing her eyes shut. The feeling of Theo’s cock hitting her just right and his thumb circling her clit had her arching with pleasure. Theo applied more pressure to her little nub as he too began throbbing inside her, his thrusts becoming desperate as he chased his own high.
Tears spilled from the sides of Y/N’s eyes as her orgasm hit and she moaned loudly. Watching Y/N’s cry, set off Mattheo’s own orgasm as he thrust hard one more time down her throat, his hot seed spurting out. Y/N choked slightly, before swallowing his salty cum down.
Theo couldn’t help but groan as he felt Y/N’s pussy pulsate around him, milking him as she came. He buried himself hard and deep, staying there as he pumped her full of his cum.
Y/N whimpered, feeling Theo’s cock so deep within her sensitive pussy. Theo collapsed next to Y/N, his arm coming around her waist as he leaned his head on her shoulder. Y/N panted, coming down from her high. She stroked Theo’s back with one hand while the other patter Mattheo’s thigh next to her shoulder as they all basked in the glow of lovemaking.
***
A few days passed since the party and Cormac had managed to stay off the boys' radar. Y/N was happy to be rid of the pig and his unwanted advances.
Sitting in the grand hall for lunch, the group laughed at a story Pansy was recounting about a Hufflepuff accidentally setting half of Professor Sprout's garden of fluxweed on fire.
“Oh!” Y/N looked at her watch. “That reminds me, I need to see Professor Slughorn on his assignment for polyjuice potion before class starts.”
Y/N pecked both Theo and Mattheo on the lips, gathering her things and rushing to the dungeons.
She knocked on the door, hearing Professor Slughorn speak to someone inside.
“Three days should be about right.” Slughorn was explaining to someone. “Come in!”
Y/N entered, freezing when she saw it was McLaggen who the professor was speaking too.
“Ah Miss Y/L/N, how can I help you?” Slughorn turned to her.
Y/N licked her dry lips, turning her gaze to the teacher, refusing to acknowledge Cormac at all. “I was hoping to ask some question about the polyjuice assignment you set.”
“Well that is a funny coincidence, Mr McLaggen was asking about the same assignment” Slughorn let out a chortle.
“I can come back some other time.” Y/N turned to leave but Slughorn called out to her.
“No, it’s okay. I have time now to give you both a mini-lesson before the bell. Please sit.” Slughorn gestured to the seat next to Cormac who gave Y/N a smirk, his lip still split.
Y/N bit her bottom lip as she slowly made her way over. She pulled her chair, making sure to leave as much of a gap as she could before sitting.
Slughorn turned to the board, writing down the various steps to the potion. Y/N tried her hardest to concentrate on her notes but Cormac’s heavy wheezing was very distracting.
She took a deep breath to block him out, her focus on her notes. That was until she felt fingers ghosting her knee. She jumped up, banging her foot into the table leg.
“Is there a problem Miss Y/L/N?” Slughorn turned towards her.
“N-No sir. I have all the information I need so will take my leave. Thank you for the extra help.” Y/N grabbed her things and rushed for the door. She turned the corner in the dungeons, placing a hand on her chest to steady her racing heart.
A hand grabbed her shoulder, slamming her into the wall.
Cormac caged Y/N against the wall, his broken nose skimming along her cheek. “Where’s your guard dogs now, beautiful?”
Y/N tried to push Mclaggen off her but he was bigger and stronger than her. “Piss off Cormac before you get a replay of what happened at the party!”
Cormac let out a chuckle, resting his head on Y/N's shoulder. “Your little protection squad isn’t here princess.”
Y/N let out a chuckle, standing on her tiptoes she whispered in McLaggen’s ear, “I think you are mistaken if you think I need protecting.”
Cormac snapped his head up, looking at Y/N confused.
Y/N gave him an innocent smile, placing her wand tip against his chest, “Everte Statum.”
Cormac flew, his back smacking against the wall opposite Y/N.
“Come near me, my boyfriends, or my friends again,” Y/N knelt next to the groaning boy, “I’ll hex you so bad that your bloodline will end with you.”
Y/N stood up, smoothing down her uniform before exiting the dungeons.
***
The rest of the autumn term passed without incident. Christmas break had come and gone, with the throuple splitting their time between Y/N and Theo’s houses with the odd party at Malfoy Mansion.
Soon it was time to return to Hogwarts. Y/N, Pansy and the Greengrass sisters were swapping Christmas break stories in the common room when the boys stormed down from their dorms.
“What’s the matter, loves?” Y/N stood up, walking over to Theo, her hand coming up to cradle his cheek.
“Someone trashed our rooms while we were away.” Mattheo rolled his tongue in his cheek with annoyance.
“Who would do that?” Pansy crossed her arms.
“Dunno.” Mattheo ran his hand through his curls. “Probably some idiot hoping to score some weed or a bottle of fire whiskey.”
“Well whoever it was, I’m sending an owl to my father,” Draco clenched his jaw, “My best dress shirts were thrown around like common material. Does whoever did this know how easily they crease? Dumbledore needs to up the security around here.”
Everyone watched as Draco continued his rant, exiting the common room.
Y/N wrapped her arms around Mattheo, kissing the side of his neck. “I’ll help you clean up.”
“It’s fine. Nothing a few spells can’t tidy.” He kissed the top of Y/N’s head, hugging her tight.
“Anything missing?” Y/N's voice came out muffled from how her face was still pressed into his neck.
Theo shook his head, flopping down onto the couch. He pulled Y/N’s hand, causing her to fall backwards onto him. Mattheo sat next to Theo, pulling Y/N's legs onto his lap, massaging her calves as Theo played with the ends of her hair.
“Don’t worry about it principessa.” Theo kissed the crown of Y/N’s head as it lay against his chest.
Even though the boys didn’t seem worried, something in Y/N’s chest still felt tight.
***
Y/N flopped down onto her bed and groaned.
Pansy chuckled, changing out of her uniform, “Transfiguration wasn’t that hard.”
“What do you mean? It was brutal,” Y/N flipped over, staring at the ceiling. “I thought I finally got it. My toad had turned completely into a toadstool, then it had to start jumping and croaking all over the desk.”
Pansy let out another laugh and Y/N rubbed her face with her hands. Leaning up, she turned to her pillow where a white note lay. “Looks like my day might still have a chance to get better.”
“What is it?” asked Pansy, pulling a Slytherin hoodie over her head.
Y/N bit her lip, hiding her smile, “The boys want me to meet them in the Prefects bathroom.”
“Ooh,” Pansy wiggled her eyebrows at Y/N as the girl jumped off her bed “Go get some loving!”
Pansy slapped Y/N on the arse playfully as she left.
***
Y/N skipped happily to the fifth floor toward the Prefect’s bathroom. It had been a happy perk for the trio to rendezvous occasionally since Theo became a Prefect two years earlier.
Y/N entered, licking her lips in anticipation but to her dismay the room was empty.
“Teddy? Matty?” She called out. One of the toilet stall doors slammed open causing Y/N to jump.
Mattheo walked out, rubbing his chin as he looked Y/N up and down.
“Matty.” Y/N put a hand to her racing heart. “You scared me. Where is Teddy?”
Mattheo didn’t answer but continued to swagger over to Y/N.
Y/N tilted her head in confusion, something was off about her boyfriend.
“Matty?”
Mattheo grabbed the back of Y/N's hair harshly, crashing his lips to hers. Y/N pushed at him but he used his other hand to grip her waist tightly, walking her backwards till she slammed against the bathroom wall.
Y/N let out a groan as her head collided with the stone. Mattheo bit down her neck harshly as she tried to push him off. “Matty! Stop!”
Y/N was used to the boys being rough but this was something different.
She again tried to push him when another stall door banged open, a smirking Teddy exiting.
“Teddy.” Water gathered in Y/N’s eyes as Mattheo continued to grope at her body. “Tell him to stop.”
Theo just raised his eyebrows and began prowling closer to the pair. Y/N opened her mouth when three more stalls opened. Draco, Blaise, and Enzo began walking towards her.
“Wha- What are you doing ?” Y/N tried to grab her wand but Theo was too quick, pinning her arm to the wall with one hand and using the other to throw her wand into the large pool-like bath that occupied the centre of the room.
“Teddy!” Y/N let out a shriek as Theo grabbed her around the neck, bruising her lips with another hard kiss. Mattheo began to slowly unbutton her top, as she thrashed against the two.
“Stop it! Please!” Tears streamed down Y/N’s face as she tried to get free.
“I thought a deatheater’s slut would be more willing.” Mattheo laughed his hand sliding up Y/N’s thigh.
Y/N looked down at the boy with confusion as more tears fell. The boy in front of her looked like her boyfriend but his voice. “McLaggen?”
Mattheo smirked. “It must be love if you can recognize me in this ugly form.”
Y/N fought even harder as McLaggen lifted her skirt higher. “I swear if you don’t let go of me…”
“You’ll do what Y/L/N?” Teddy smirked, kissing the side of her neck. “Just pretend we’re your boyfriends and enjoy yourself, babe.”
McLaggen let out a growl, his hands rubbing at the marks in between Y/N’s thighs. “What the fuck are these?”
Y/N took his distraction and kneed him in the face. “If you don’t know what those are then it's obvious you’ve never pleasured a woman before.”
Cormac jumped up from the floor, wiping the blood from his nose. “Stupid bitch.”
He slapped Y/N hard, her head hitting against the wall again. Blood trickled from her lip, down her neck and chest.
Grabbing Y/N by the arm, Cormac threw her at the three boys behind him. “Lift her up and hold her legs wide and steady.”
Y/N screamed at the boys to stop, jerking back and forth trying to escape their hold.
Cormac stroked his hands up Y/N's legs, settling himself between them. He grounded his hardened member against Y/N’s clothed core making her sob harder.
“You like being covered in marks?” Cormac pulled his wand from his back pocket and kneeled down in between Y/N’s thighs. “Let’s leave a few permanent ones. Incendio”
Pain shot through Y/N as she screamed. She could smell her skin burning as fire seared her.
McLaggen pointed to another hickey on Y/N's thigh. “Diffendo .”
Cries tore from Y/N’s throat till her voice went hoarse. Her body shook, drenched in sweat from the tortuous burns and cuts McLaggen inflicted on her.
“I think that’s enough.”
Y/N’s head lolled from side to side as she looked over to “Teddy” standing behind McLaggen. That is when she noticed “Mattheo’s” hair begin to lighten from his usual dark brown to blonde. “Teddy” was starting to shrink and the boys who were holding her were also changing.
“The Polyjuice is beginning to wear off. You said we could have a go of her and she wouldn’t know it was us because of the potion.”
“She’s out of it as it is!” McLaggen stood, shoving his wand back in his pocket. “Let’s have our fun and then leave.”
Y/N felt the grip on her slacken while the boys argued amongst themselves. Taking a deep breath, she twisted once more, landing on her stomach. The fall knocked the wind from her but she continued to try crawling towards the exit. Y/N pushed herself to stand, but the burning pain of her thighs had her faltering and the blood leaking from her wounds made her knees slip from under her.
A cry shuddered from her chest as she felt weight come down on her thighs. “Where are you going babe? The fun is just beginning.
Y/N clawed at the ground as she heard the sound of Cormac unbuckling his belt and undoing his zipper.
He pulled Y/N up by her hair, his mouth licking at her ear as he spoke. “I love hearing you scream.”
He let her fall against the ground again as he pulled her underwear to one side, the tip of his dick, rubbing at Y/N entrance.
He gripped her hips ready to push in.
“Confringo!”
McLaggen’s body flew from on top of Y/N, landing in an unconscious pile on the far side of the room.
“Pansy help her!”
Y/N fell in and out of consciousness but even in her state, she could hear the panic in Theo’s voice.
“Y/N!”
Y/N felt drops of water falling on her face as she was gently turned on her back, her head resting on something soft.
“Hold on. The professors are coming.”
The sounds of fighting, spelling flying and various crashes faded away as Y/N passed out.
Pansy shook Y/N, trying to wake her just as McGonagall and Snape entered.
McGonagall kneeled down next to Pansy as Snape broke up the fight between the boys.
“Severus! She needs to see Madame Pomfrey now! You take her, I will handle them.”
Snape nodded marching over and gently picking Y/N up and taking her to the infirmary.
***
Y/N’s eyes fluttered open as she saw the bright candles floating above her. She slowly reached her hands out, feeling the white sheet that covered her. She looked around and realised she was in the infirmary.
A quiet sob escaped her as she remembered the events that led her to her current situation. She panicked when she felt hands cupping her face. Mattheo jumped from his chair the minute the sob escaped his girlfriend.
“Y/N baby,” He said, trying to calm her but she pulled away from his touch.
“Not Matty,” she whispered brokenly over and over again.
“Hey, hey,” Mattheo put his hands up. “It’s me, babe. Its me.”
She looked at him, distrust flashing in her eyes.
“Look I can prove it.” Mattheo slowly sat on the bed and took her hand into his. “You don’t buy cherry-flavoured lip balm because you end up licking you lips too much because it’s your favourite flavour. You always fiddle with the ring, Theo got you when you’re thinking of us but with the bracelet, I bought you when you’re worried about us. You say you hate wearing your hair up because it hurts your neck but put it up anyway because you love the neck massages I give you on the days you do. Theo showed you a secret spot down by the black lake on our fourth date, its were we made love to you for the first time.”
Y/N looked at him, sobbing in relief as she leaned forward and hugged him. “Matty. I was so scared. He tried to…”
Y/n couldn’t finish her sentence as she trembled harder.
“We know babe, we came looking for you and that’s when Pansy told us about the note. We didn’t send it.” Mattheo held Y/N tighter as Theo walked in. Y/N tensed looking at Theo but Mattheo gently rubbed her back. “It's Theo. I promise you, it’s him.”
Y/N hesitated before reaching out a shaky hand towards him. “Teddy?”
Theo quickly sat down and hugged Y/N close, kissing her head. “Yes principessa, it’s me. We’re here and no one is going to touch you.”
Y/n cried against his shoulder. Theo rubbed her back looking at Mattheo who was still holding her hand. He pulled back so he could look into her eyes.
“Dumbledore’s expelled Cormac and his friends. The ministry is also looking to punish him for his crimes. You don’t have to worry about that pathetic being ever again.”
Y/N sniffed wiping her cheeks. “Can I leave yet? I just want to be in my bed.”
Mattheo looked at Theo then Y/N. “We can ask Madame Pomfrey for you but I think your mum and dad want you to go home for a bit, till you feel better.”
Y/N shook her head. “I don’t want to home, I want to stay with you two.”
Theo smiled gently, kissing her head again. “If that is what you wish, we’ll let your parents know.”
Y/N nods.
***
A few hours later Y/N was lying in her bed, her boys on either side of her as they held her tight.
“We’ll kill him you know?” whispered Mattheo.
Y/N looked at him and nodded. “I want to be there. I want to hurt him… Like he hurt me.”
Her hand subconsciously went to her thighs, remembering the cuts and burns that adorned them.
Theo looked down and gently took her hand away. “He might have tried to erase us but we’ll make you ours over and over. No one can stop you from belonging to us.”
Y/N’s eyes filled with tears as she nodded. “Can you…mark me again?”
Mattheo looked at her surprised. “You want us to touch you?”
Y/N nodded. “I don’t want to have sex yet, soon but not yet. I just want your marks on me again.”
She slowly spread her legs and lifted her skirt showing her soft smooth thighs.
Theo gently brushed his fingers on her soft skin. “Like a blank canvas.”
They both moved down her body and gently began sucking and biting at her skin. Tears streamed out the corners of her eyes as Y/N felt herself beginning to heal in the comfort of her two lovers.

The Great War: Chapter 2
Pairing: Mattheo Riddle x Reader
Here's chapter two, I solemnly swear that Y/N and Mattheo will actually interact soon. I hope you all enjoy! As always, I'm the author (please don't repost)
Masterlist. Series Masterlist. Chapter 1 Read on Ao3
Warnings: quidditch, Dumbledore, manipulation, Cormac McClaggen, crying in the bathroom, idk what else to add
Word Count: 3126
Description: Y/N receives her mission, runs into an unexpected help, and tries out for the quidditch team.
Taglist: @sylveryfire, @undercover-smutlover
Y/N raised her hand, knocking on the door to Dumbledore’s office.
“Come in.”
She opened the door, walking in. Y/N hadn't been in his office since the year before since everything with Umbridge and dUmbledore’s Army. It hadn’t changed one bit. Except for a shelf covered in vials. She wondered what that was about.
“Ah, Y/L/N. You got my message.”
“You wanted to see me, sir?” She asked, wondering why.
“Yes. I have a favor to ask of you. One last mission if you will.”
She approached his desk, “What do you need me to do?”
“I need more eyes on the students. One in particular in fact. Mr. Riddle.”
“Why not have Professor Snape look after him?” She asked, questioning Dumbledore’s thought process.
“I require his services elsewhere. You, however, I would like for you to watch over Mr. Riddle and report back to me about any suspicious activities.”
“Of course. Whatever is needed.”
“Good.” She started to walk away when he said one more parting word.
“And one last thing, Miss Y/L/N. If you could refrain from mentioning this task to anyone, that would be much appreciated.”
“Even Harry?”
“Especially Mr. Potter. I have a separate task for him that he needs to be focused on. It is imperative that no one suspects what you are doing.”
“Of course, Professor.”
She walked out of the room and down towards the Great Hall, hoping to get some food. Some students were roaming the halls but most of them were probably eating so there were few people around to see her duck into the abandoned girls' lavatory.
She looked around at the very place that she had spent months of time with Harry, Ron, and Hermione back in second year. Y/N hadn’t been back since then. For once Moaning Myrtle wasn’t to be seen. Odd. How on earth was she going to do this? Even if she managed to find a way to watch the Slytherin’s without making them suspicious, her friends would ask questions about her sudden interest in the enemy.
Hearing someone run into the bathroom, she hid in one of the stalls. It was someone crying, loudly. Slowly opening the stall door she came up behind the girl. A Slytherin by the looks of her green accented robes.
“Hey, are you okay?” Y/N asked softly, trying not to startle the girl.
She whirled around, it was Pansy Parkinson. Her tearstained face became apprehensive, suspicious almost immediately.
Wiping away at her tears, smudging her mascara, she asked, “What do you care?”
“I wanted to make sure you were okay. I don’t like seeing people cry. Even you.”
“How big of you.” She sneered.
Well, this wasn’t going well. If Y/N was going to spy on Riddle it would make more sense for her to befriend his social circle. She had to at least try to find an in and Pansy seemed like the best option. Draco would bite her head off, Theodore Nott didn’t talk to anybody outside his friends, and Blaise Zabini didn’t exactly have a favorable impression of her after she got him detention in fourth year. Suffice it to say, they all hated her.
“I’m being serious. What happened?”
“Nothing.”
Y/N gave her a look.
“I’m not telling you.”
“Look, I get it. You have no reason to trust me but if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here.”
“What would your precious friends think about you associating with the enemy?” Pansy spat.
“Probably the same as Malfoy would if he knew you were talking with a Gryffindor.” Y/N shot back.
She huffed a watery laugh. “We’re not all that bad.”
“Oh, you are. And worse.”
They stood there in silence for a heartbeat before Pansy spoke, breaking the silence.
“I told someone I liked them and they told me that they didn’t like me back. I put my heart out there for the first time in my life and it got stomped on. “ She said, bitterly.
“I’m sorry. If it makes you feel any better, it was their loss.”
Pansy gave her a look of doubt.
“I mean it. You may be a Slytherin and you might not exactly be nice to everyone but you’re pretty and from what I can tell, you are also really smart even though you try to hide it. I saw how well you did on your OWLs, it wasn’t that different from what I got.”
“You mean that?”
“Yes.”
“Thanks. I needed to hear that.”
Y/N nudged Pansy’s shoulder, “You’re not as bad as I thought you were.”
“Neither are you.”
They shared a smile before leaving the lavatory. The two girls went their opposite ways and Y/N grinned. She had found a way in. Maybe this task of Dumbledore’s wouldn’t be as hard as she thought it was going to be.
On her walk back to the common room she did her best to avoid others, knowing that it was close to curfew. She passed near an area of the castle that was very familiar after all of the time she and the rest of them had spent there last year. After sneaking into the Room of Requirement almost daily, it was no surprise that she had managed to arrive back there, her feet carrying her there due to muscle memory.
She had almost passed by when she heard footsteps echoing through the halls. Nervous, she ducked behind a corner to keep out of view. Curious, Y/N peeked around the corner, wondering who could possibly be walking around at this hour towards the Room of Requirement. Then, moving into view, was Draco Malfoy. What was he doing here?
Suddenly the conversation on the train came to mind. Was he really a Death Eater? If so, what was he up to? She waited and watched as he disappeared into the room before continuing on her way.
The next morning she awoke with a smile on her face and butterflies in her stomach. Today was quidditch tryouts. She had spent all summer practicing in her backyard so hopefully she would make it. Y/N spent the entire day feeling like she was walking on clouds, a bounce in her step as she went from class to class.
Everyone had remarked on how energetic she seemed. Even her first Defense Against the Dark Arts class couldn’t undermine her good mood. It wasn’t until her last class of the day finished and she started walking over to the quidditch pitch when the jitters started to set in.
“Hey Y/N!” Ron greeted.
“Hey.”
“You ready?”
She shrugged, grimacing slightly. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
“You’ll get on the team. I’ve seen the way you can fly.”
“Thanks.”
“Shut it!” Ginny yelled from her place next to Harry.
They all quieted, turning to look at her.
Harry then spoke up, “Thanks. All right. Now, if you had a spot last year that does not guarantee you a spot this year. Is that clear?”
There were a few scattered nods from the group.
“Good.”
Another Gryffindor who was also trying out approached them. Cormac McClaggen.
“No hard feelings, eh Weasley?”
Ron looked puzzled. “Hard feelings?”
“Yeah. I’ll be going after keeper myself. It's nothing personal really.”
“Really, a strapping guy like you? You’ve got more of a beater’s build don’t you? Keepers need to be quick, agile.”
A fly started to buzz around them, its humming loud in Y/N’s ear before it flew towards McClaggen who seemingly managed to crush it between his fingers without even looking.
Ron’s face turned worried.
“I like my chances.”
“Show off.” Y/N muttered, unimpressed.
Cormac glanced over at her as if it was the first time he’d noticed she was standing there in the whole time he had been talking.
“Say, think you could introduce me to your friend Granger? Wouldn’t mind getting a first name basis with her, know what I mean?” He nudged Ron, a suggestive look on his face. He clapped him on the shoulder and walked away.
Drifting closer to Ron, Y/N said, “What a douche.”
“Yeah.” Ron said, unenthused.
“Right. So I’m going to run you through a few drills to assess your strengths.” Harry called out now that everybody had settled down. He went on to detail the first drill but Y/N wasn’t paying attention.
Glancing up into the stands she saw Hermione with the other handful of spectators. Raising her hand, she waved. Hermione smiled and waved back. Good luck, she mouthed.
Y/N mouthed back, Thanks!
Out of their friend group, Hermione was probably the one she was closest with. She loved all three of her friends but Hermione was the first of them to reach out and befriend her. It was towards the start of their first year before she had become friends with Harry and Ron. Y/N hadn’t had the best time with making friends because all of the people she knew were pure-bloods. Her parents were only friends with others like them with few exceptions so all of the kids her age that she grew up with were sorted into Slytherin.
They had started to ignore her once she was put in Gryffindor, saying that she couldn’t hang out with them anymore. Hermione had heard her crying herself to bed one night and the very next day wouldn’t leave her side. Despite everything she had been taught about muggle-borns she couldn’t help but see that Hermione was the nicest person she knew. Their friendship was the final straw for her old friends though. From then on most of them would ignore her but some of them would insult her right alongside her new friends.
Hopefully this history wouldn’t present a problem for her mission. After all, it was six years ago. Then again, Slytherins never forget a slight. Being friends with the chosen one, a blood traitor, and a muggle-born was a pretty big offense.
Oh, well. She would worry about that later. For now her main focus was on the tryouts. Everybody was put into two teams. Y/N and Ron were on one team with Harry, Ginny, and a few others while Cormac and the rest were on the other team.
The quaffle was tossed and they were off, Y/N passed it to a teammate, a fourth year she didn't know that well, only for the other team to steal it. She was in the perfect position to steal it back, and she did. Flying straight into Katie, feinting to the side just in time so she could grab the ball without colliding into her.
She raced over to the other side, wind whipping in her face and people from the other team on her heels. As Y/N neared the goal, she pretended to go for one goal, only to go for the other one, barely managing to get it past Cormac.
A few onlookers cheered and Ginny yelled, “Nice one, Y/N!”
She felt a surge of happiness, a grin on her face. Maybe she had a shot.
The scrimmage continued on, the two teams practically tied. The other team was in the lead by a few points, thanks to one of their chasers being really good at getting by Ron. Y/N could tell he was getting disheartened, feeling like he was letting them down with every lost point. Then something odd happened.
Ginny had the quaffle and was being chased by the other team. She soared through the air and slammed it into the goal. McClaggen was right there, in the perfect position to stop it when he suddenly swerved out of the way. A teammate of his asked him what happened but he just looked confused. Weird.
On the next point, Ron surprised everyone by flipping upside down on his broom, using his head to block the ball. Onlookers started to applaud and everybody looked on incredulously, wondering how that actually worked. From that point on it seemed as if he had regained his confidence and all of a sudden they started to catch up to the other team, scoring goal after goal.
In the end they won.
“Okay everybody, the team lineup will be posted in the common room tomorrow morning. Good job, everyone!” Harry announced.
They all walked over to the locker rooms to change out of their quidditch robes.
“Nice playing Y/N! I had no idea you were that good!” Katie said.
“Thanks! I’ve been practicing.”
“Well, it paid off.”
Y/N smiled. Hearing that from Katie Bell, one of the seventh years on the team, who had been playing for Gryffindor for years meant a lot.
Ginny chimed in, “Yeah, you looked good out there.”
“Thanks, you too. You played really well!”
“You’re going to make the team for sure, then all three of us can play together!” Katie exclaimed.
“I hope so.”
The three of them got dressed and headed out, walking out together.
“Hey, Y/N, nice job!” Hermione said, standing up from where she had been sitting, waiting for them to come out.
“Thanks!”
The four girls walked back to the castle, the sky darkening overhead. Some rain started to sprinkle down on them, the breeze suddenly feeling a bit cold. Once they all made it back to the castle, they all hurried up to Gryffindor tower where Ron sat on a couch, Harry on the ground by the fire.
Katie and Ginny went to find their respective friends while Y/N plopped down on the chair next to the couch. Hermione took a seat between the chair and the couch.
“I thought I was for sure going to miss that last one.” Ron mused. “I hope Cormac isn’t taking it too hard.”
Hermione made a sound, drawing all of their eyes onto her.
She shook her head, “Nothing.”
The boys returned to staring at the fireplace, the light of the flames flickering brightly. Y/N however, kept her gaze on Hermione, thinking through everything that happened. Cormac’s sudden movement out of the way had seemed unnatural. Almost as if he had been influenced.
Her friend looked up at her, feeling her gaze. Hermione raised an eyebrow, silently questioning her.
Did you? Y/N mouthed.
Hermione’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment before she nodded.
Y/N chuckled quietly, amused. She knew her best friend could be a bit diabolical but she never expected her to break the rules like this.
“He’s got a bit of a thing for you ‘Mione. Cormac.” Ron said.
Hermione shook her head, picking up a newspaper. “He’s vile.”
They sat there in silence, Ron looking at the flames, Hermione reading the newspaper, Harry reading a book, and Y/N mulling over her plans.
Harry leaned over to show his book to Hermione. “Have you ever heard of this spell? Sectumsempra?”
She sighed, exasperated. “No, I haven’t. And if you had any common sense you would turn it into Professor McGonanagall.”
“Not bloody likely. Why would he?” Ron asked. “He’s top of the class. Slughorn thinks he’s a genius. He’s even better than you Hermione.”
“I wonder whose it is.” Y/N pondered.
“Yeah, is it signed? Can I look?” Hermione asked, grabbing at Harry’s potions book. He snatched it away, standing up.
“No, the binding is fragile.”
Hermione also got up, the newspaper forgotten. “The binding is fragile?” She asked in an incredulous tone.
“Yeah.” Harry kept on backing up, away from her. Y/N watched as Ginny, who had been listening in from where she stood talking with Dean, walked over and grabbed it out of Harry’s unsuspecting grasp. Staying just out of reach of him trying to get his book back, she opened the book.
“The Half-Blood Prince. Who’s the Half-Blood Prince?” She asked.
“Who?” Hermione questioned.
“That’s what it says. Property of the Half-Blood Prince.”
Harry seized the opportunity to get his book back. “No clue.”
They all exchanged puzzled glances while he walked away towards the staircase that led to the boys’ dorms, wondering who that could possibly be. Hermione was probably already planning to head to the library first thing in the morning to figure it out.
Y/N and Hermione said goodnight to Ron and Ginny before walking up the spiral staircase to their dorm. Once inside they walked over to their beds, both of which were on the far end next to each other. The rest of the girls in their year were already getting ready for bed. The two of them never really paid attention to them though. Parvati and Lavender mainly hung out with the Ravenclaws, ignoring the rest of them. Especially after fourth year when Parvati and her sister, Padma, had gone to the Yule Ball with Harry and Ron only to end up ignored.
The only other Gryffindor girl in their year was Lily Moon. Lily was nice, a red-head who was sometimes mistaken for being yet another addition to the Weasleys. She mainly hung out with Neville, the two of them sharing a love for Herbology. While they did sometimes hang out together during class, outside of that they didn’t have much in common with her.
There used to also be one other girl, Sally-Anne Perks, but she left after Cedric’s death in fourth year, never to be heard from again. Her bed remained empty, devoid of any personal touches, unlike the rest of them with their pictures of family, books, jewelry, etc.
Taking a seat on her bed, she looked over at Hermione. “Did you seriously use the Confundus Charm on Cormac so he’d miss that shot?”
“Yeah.” She admitted, sheepishly.
“Wicked!”
Lavender looked over at them, a bit judgemental. Y/N smirked. She still remembered how annoying she had become last year, gushing over Ron. Surprising really, considering how he had acted when he took Padma to the Yule Ball. All three girls had given him dirty looks, along with Y/N and Hermione by association.
After getting dressed for bed, she lay on her mattress waiting for everyone else to be ready so they could turn off the lights. Soon, the only light illuminating the room was from the moon shining through the window. She was feeling a bit anxious, wondering if this was the year that she would finally make it onto the team. After spending the last five years watching Harry play from the stands along with the rest of the team had been fun but she longed to be a part of it. She had always loved flying but, outside of learning how to in first year there hadn’t been many chances except for during the summer when she visited the Weasleys.

Soulmates: Soulmates are when two destined people come together as a couple. Intertwined by their thoughts and visuals. When a soulmate is found and connected at a certain age. It will come suddenly to a person. They can talk to each other through their mind. And throughout the day, they are able to see what the person is doing through stress or by choice. Giving each person a chance at privacy. No sources were found when a soulmate tie is severed.
Y/n was walking through the corridors, Hermione beside her. “Y/n are you alright? You barely ate today.” Y/n nodded, “Yeah. I am fine. Just didn’t feel hungry today. I will see you later. I am going to head to the library to catch up on my homework.” She gave Hermione a subtle smile before going in a different direction. Entering the courtyard towards the doors of the library. Draco moves his leg and trips her over. The slytherin group laughed at her as she dropped to the ground. Her books scattered around her. “Aw look! You fell. You stupid mudblood…watch where you are going.” Draco spat out. Pansy and Theo gave her a smug look with their arms crossed. She looked at them just staring at her. She sighed heavily as she picked up all her books and stood up. Mattheo behind them smirking at her, looking at her up and down. She ignored any advances of torment they gave and left through the central hall doors.
She was inside the library. Sitting at the table on the second floor. Writing on her parchment on an essay for Professor Snape. She rubbed her temple after a few minutes of writing. When a flash of light fogged her mind. Showing her someone’s hand smoking a cigarette.
“What is Merlin's name…?” She whispered to herself as the visual faded away and she was able to see her homework in front of her.
Professor Snape needs to give better homework, just to let you know.
She blinked and looked around. Wondering where the voice is coming from.
I am in your mind. I guess you are as clueless as you are with that homework you are working on. We are soulmates. Remember hearing about it in one of your classes?
She sighed, Yes I do. I just didn’t really believe that was a thing. But you are apparently my soulmate. You know…smoking is bad for you. Right?
Mattheo chuckled, liking his mysterious soulmate already. Hey, lay off. I can be a smoker. Have you tried not doing homework?
Y/n laughed a little, cocky soulmate. As she gathered her belongings and put them away. Ready to head to the great hall for Dinner.
I hope the food is good. What is your favorite dessert? Mattheo asked his soulmate.
I would have to say chocolate pie or pumpkin pasties. What about you? Mattheo thought about it for a moment before smiling, Maybe apple tarts. Those are the best.
After a while of talking through their minds. They became more known to each other. Not knowing they were sitting at opposite tables. She was a Gryffindor and he was a Slytherin.
Did you eat your chocolate pie? He smirked. She nodded, Yes. Delicious like always. I could eat these all day. The crust is my favorite. Don’t judge me.
An echo of laughs were heard. Everyone was staring and wondering about the sounds. Look what you did. Now they heard us laughing. She laughed lightly. He chuckled as he took a bite of his food. Who cares what they think.
As a few days have passed, Mattheo and Y/n got to know more about each other, but still don't know who they are to each other. Y/n was in the courtyard sitting alone with a book in hand. Reading. Pansy and Draco come up to her and knock the book out of her hand. “Have you tried not reading?” She looked up at them and grabbed her book. Muttering to herself, “Assholes.” She went to walk out when Cormac came up to her, “Hey there y/n did you miss me?” She stepped back, “Fuck off, Cormac. I don’t want you.” He chuckled and shook his head at her. Stepping closer to her and gripping her arm. “How about…no.” Before y/n could react, a fist hurled into Cormac’s jaw. “That is not how you treat women!” Mattheo shouted at him. Cormac held his bloody nose as he stood up. Staggering back and running off. Y/n looked over at Mattheo, “Uh…thank you.” She said hush. As she clutched her book close to her chest. Mattheo eyed her and nodded, “Yeah…You need to learn to defend yourself.” As he walked off away from her, going towards Draco and Pansy. Both of them laughed as they walked away.
The next day, it was a sunny afternoon at Hogwarts. She sat under a tree and was enjoying the sun hitting her face. Reading about their soulmate ties. Hey so I have been reading about our soulmate thing. We can cut ties if we want to. She said in her mind. Mattheo, who was smoking out by the boathouse, tossed his butt down on the ground and smashed it with his foot. Really? What an interesting thing. So if we don’t like each other we can cut ties. Interesting. He smirked. But I don’t like it though. What happens after? Do we die? Or unable to find another soulmate? Y/n said. He shrugged his shoulders, Who knows. When am I going to see that face of yours? Can I meet you tonight? He asked. As he placed his hands in his pockets. Are you sure you want to meet me? What if I am weird? She said as she stood up. Walking towards the castle. Nah! It will be fine. Trust me. Tonight at the Astronomy tower. 7pm Don’t be late. He walked towards the castle.
A moment later, they both crash into each other again, “Hey watch where you are going.” Mattheo scowled. Y/n stepped back, “Well you bumped into me!” Mattheo scoffed as he entered the castle. Y/n following behind. She walked towards her common room and to get herself ready for tonight. She was nervous, but excited. Mattheo doing the same thing.
Finally, that night. She stood over the ledge. Looking up at the moon and stars in the sky. Her back facing the stairs. As she heard footsteps behind her. “I am here. Show yourself.” Y/n turned around and went wide-eyed. “Mattheo?!” Mattheo reacted the same way, “Y/n?!” She stepped back, “You are my soulmate? I..I can’t believe my own bully is my soulmate. This sucks.” Mattheo scoffed and took a cigarette out and lit it, “Yeah. You tell me. I guess we already know each other.” She crossed her arms and looked away, “Smoking is bad you know..” Mattheo gave her a look of disgust, “Bug off! I can do whatever I want. I am Mattheo Riddle. You are just a mudblood in my eyes.” Y/n was taken aback by his behavior. She shook her head, “Whatever you say, Mattheo. Fuck you.” As she stormed away from him, she stopped at the steps, “I am going to cut our ties…when I find the solution.” And left, “Good riddance..” He muttered to himself.
The next couple days were of research and studying to cut ties with each other. Her nose in a book. You and the bloody books. Mattheo said through his mind. As he stood behind her. She stood up quickly, “What are you doing here?” She said seriously with a cold tone. Mattheo leaned over her, grabbing her arm. “Any ideas on our ties?” Y/n grabbed her arm back, “No. Stop talking to me and I will.” She grabbed her belongings and left the library. “Arrogant egotistical bastard.” She muttered to herself. Mattheo smirked as she left. Placing a toothpick in his mouth as he walked off.
That late evening, she was inside her dorm room. All the girls were out on holiday so she had the whole dorm room to herself. A knock was on her door. She looked up and went to the door and answered it. Seeing Cormac, she gave him a look of disgust as she went to go close the door. But he stopped it and went up to her, “I don’t appreciate it when you ignore me…or avoid me, y/n. That isn’t nice of you.” She stepped back, each footstep made her afraid of what is to come. He grabbed her and threw her to the bed. He pinned her to the bed, her arms and legs attempting to kick him off her. Eventually, her face slightly bruised she shoved him off her. Running out of the common room and towards the astronomy tower.
Hey…Mattheo…can you come to the tower? Please? I need someone. She asked quietly in her mind. Mattheo got up from the common room couch and left. He shook his head, Fine. Whatever. He made his way over to the tower and saw her in the shadows. Huddled in a corner. He knew something wasn’t right when he heard her soft muffled cries. He walked up to her and knelt down to her level. “What happened?” She looked up at him, her face was bruised. A swollen lip and a black up. “Cormac…h-he hit me..tried to touch me..” She choked out. As she looked down. Mattheo's face darkens and lets out a harsh breath as he balls my fist.
"Where is he? I’ll kill him." Mattheo said looking down at y/n with a vicious look on his face. She grabbed his robe, “Don’t leave me…stay please.” She cried. Mattheo's entire body tenses up as he hears what she said and he felt like he was about to lose control. His hands unclench from his fists and jaws tighten as his lips curl in a very cruel and angry smile. Mattheo's anger is rising and boiling up inside and barely hold back as he start breathing heavily. There’s fire burning inside of his eyes and a chill down his spine, turning to the side, trying to take some deep breaths to calm myself. "That bastard!" Mattheo says in a very cold and low voice. Mattheo grabbed her and pulled her into his chest. It’s ok…I’m here. I won’t leave you.
After a few days, Mattheo didn’t leave y/n by herself. They walked outside on the Hogwarts lawn. Walking alongside each other. You ok? Mattheo asked her from their minds. He peeked at her from the corner of her eye. She nodded slowly as she looked up. Freezing up on the spot. Seeing Cormac in the distance. Mattheo looked up and saw him. Cormac comes up to them, "I see y/n has a new toy." Mattheo looked at him, "You shut your damn mouth. Or else I'll do it for you." Cormac laughed at him, "You wouldn't do it. Come on. I dare you." As he shoved Mattheo back. Mattheo growled, "You arrogant little shit! That’s more than enough." Mattheo says, then throws a punch and it connects with Cormac's face. He gets knocked out instantly, falling down on the ground. Mattheo turns around and looks at Amaya, clearly worried. "Don’t worry I didn't kill him." Mattheo says, trying to reassure and calm Amaya down.
Amaya looks down at his hand, "Mattheo…your hand. It's bleeding. Let's go clean this up." Mattheo chuckled, "Nothing I'm not used to." As she dragged him to the abandoned bathroom. Away from prying eyes so she could help. She takes a cloth from her bag and wets it under the faucet. Gently cleaning his knuckles softly. Her fingers touching the bottoms of his hand. Softly cleaning his hand. Once she was done, she wrapped his hand in a bandage. "All done…” Mattheo looked down at his hand and gave her a half smile, “Thanks. I appreciate it.” She turned away and went to put her belongings away. “You are welcome.” She pondered with her thoughts for a moment, as she had her hands on the counter where her bag laid. “So…I read more information on how to cut our…soul tie.” She said it softly, hesitant about it because she didn’t really want to cut ties with him. His demeanor changed instantly, “What? You don’t want to be my soulmate?” As he stepped closer, his voice sounded cold. She turned around and gasped as he was inches from her. “No..I..I didn’t say that. I just. Assumed that you didn’t want to be my soulmate.” He grabbed her chin, “I said no such thing...” His voice was husky, “Want to know why?” She stared into his eyes. How dark and domineering they were towards her. She simply nodded, as he stepped closer to her. His body pressed close against her.
“Because you belong to me. You are mine.” His lips aggressively touched hers. His hands cupped her face as their tongues danced together. Her hands wrapped around his neck as they continued to kiss passionately. Like two hungry animals, starving for attention. His lips and tongue tasted the lining of her jaw and towards her neck. Tasting her as he carefully placed his hands under her ass. Grasping them as he lifted her onto the counter. Knocking her bag out of the way and anything else on top of the counter. She moaned as his tongue and teeth gently nipped at her neck. He grabbed his wand from his pocket and locked the bathroom door. Tossing his wand away from him as their bodies passionately collided. His fingers traveled up her thighs, grazing over the fabric of her panties. “Look at how wet you are for me. Only for me I hope, babygirl?” She moaned, her head tilted back as he whispered into her ear. “Yes…Only for you.” His fingers slid the fabric away as he felt the folds, gliding his fingers up and down teasingly. Her body aching for more of him. To touch her. “How bad do you want me? Beg.” He said into her ear. His breath was hot against her skin as he nibbled on her earlobe. “I want you, Mattheo…Please.. I beg you.” He unbuckled his pants, the bulge that was inside. Sprung open, his member escaping, revealing himself to her. The pre-cum dripping from the tip. He slid down her panties, lifted her skirt up and pulled her closer to him as she was still sitting on the bathroom counter. Her legs and his hips shifted as the tip slammed into her core. Her sensitive spot getting hit with each hip thrust. He gripped onto her legs, as he held them to his sides. She looked away from his eyes, covering her mouth to avoid her moans being loud. He moved her hands away, “Look at me. Let them hear you, princess. You belong to me now.” As he kept thrusting hard and fast into her. She looked directly into his eyes, with each thrust. She moaned, holding onto his shoulders. Her nails dug in, to the point it left marks. He moaned into her ear, which sent a jolt of pleasure down. Making her pulse against him. “Mattheo…merlin help me…” She moaned out his name. He smiled as he kissed her with force and passion, “You fit so well for me. Tight and pretty just for me…Merlin…I feel close..” He pulled away from her as she got down off the counter and went on her knees. Taking his member and filling his seed in her mouth. Swallowing him whole as she stared directly into his eyes.
They cleaned up and left the abandoned bathroom quickly as if nothing had happened. They walked into the potions classroom late and sat at their assigned potion tables. Professor Snape crossed his arms as he stared at the two of them. Snape spoke up to them, “Miss. L/n? Why are you wearing a Slytherin tie? Are you not in Gryffindor?” Snape looked over at Mattheo, “Mr. Riddle? Why on earth are you wearing a Gryffindor tie?” Professor Snape took a minute to know why as he turned around and continued on with the lesson. Mattheo smirked from across the classroom. Winking at y/n, I love it when you blush, princess. You should do that for me more often. Y/n covered her face as she averted her eyes to the professor, a small smile plastered to her face. Don’t start.

Chapter Nine
Y/n
“Care to share where we’re going?” I look up at Reggie as we walk through the castle. “You just told me to dress comfortably.”
Reggie wraps an arm around my waist, holding me close to his side. “Well, I thought we could grab a butterbeer before I take you to your surprise,” he chuckles.
“A surprise? Oo, do tell,” I smirk up at him as we exit the castle.
Reggie laughs and shakes his head, moving his hand from my waist to drape his arm over my shoulders. “If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it, little lamb?” I look up at him with a half-smile and half-pout, and he rolls his eyes. “I promise it will be worth it.”
“Does it involve all of you?” My voice comes out flirtily as we enter Hogsmeade. I stop and stand in front of Reggie, looking up at him and biting my bottom lip. “Because I think I can imagine what you have in mind if it is,” I step closer and trail a finger down his chest.
“Careful, little lamb,” Reggie holds my wrist with one hand and pulls me closer with his other hand on the small of my back, pulling me flush with his chest. “Or else we’re going to skip the butterbeer and the surprise, and I’ll take you straight to my dorm,” his voice is low and commanding as he leans closer.
My heart flutters in my chest, and I can feel the puddle of desire in my stomach slowly grow into a small pool. “Yes, Reggie,” I look up at him from under my lashes. I watch as he takes a deep breath, calming himself. He loves it when I turn on the submission side when we’re in public, maybe even as much as Tom.
We have lunch at The Three Broomsticks, along with a butterbeer or two, and head over to Honeydukes. “Behave, I’ll be right back,” he says over my shoulder as I look at acid pops. I turn around to respond when I see him walk outside and talk to another Slytherin, Pansy, if I remember right? I shrug and grab some acid pops before moving over to the fizzing whizzbees.
“Hey, y/n,” I turn to see Cedric and Cho, who walk up to me holding hands. Cedric with a shit-eating grin on his face while Cho looks a little more shy.
I smile and wave. “Hey, guys!” I greet them as they walk up to me. “So good to see you two together.”
Cedric chuckles and nods. “Yeah, took long enough,” he smiles and wraps a hand around Cho’s waist. “Kept me waiting, that’s for sure.”
Cho seems to force a smile and shifts on her feet, looking between Cedric and me. “Wasn’t sure you were interested,” she looks up at Cedric. “Heard someone else caught your eye.”
My eyebrows slightly knit together in confusion, and I look at Cedric, who looks like he’s had this talk with her a million times by the tick of his jaw and the way he tenses up. I clear my throat and look at Cho. “Well, as long as I’ve known him, the last three years he only had eyes for you,” I try to be helpful.
“You would know, wouldn’t you?” Cho looks at me with a slight glare.
“I’m sorry?” I can’t help but chuckle. “I mean, he’s my best mate. He talked about you all of the time.”
Cho huffs a laugh. “Good thing he has me now. So you can bugger off.”
My eyes widen, and I look at Cedric. “Wow.”
Cedric rolls his eyes and shakes his head. “I’m sorry—”
“Don’t apologize to her. I know you liked her before,” Cedric opens his mouth to respond, and Cho puts up a hand, cutting him off. “Don’t even try to lie to me. Lavender told me all about it. I came up to her to be nice, and now she’s basically eye-fucking you.”
“Excuse me?!” My voice raises as I start to get pissed. “Don’t talk to him like that, first off. Secondly, I’m in a relationship.”
Cho laughs sarcastically. “Oh, I know all about it. Everyone does. You cheated on Cormac, lied, and got him kicked out, and now you’re rolling around with four boys.”
“I never cheated on McClaggen, Cho. And I didn’t lie, and he got kicked out because he beat me . Not that it’s any of your fucking business.”
“Lies, lies, and more lies,” she scoffs and turns to Cedric. “You honestly believe her?”
“I do,” Cedric pulls away from Cho. “Nobody would lie about that, Cho. Are you serious? Where is all of this coming from? You never had a problem with her before.”
Cho crosses her arms over her chest. “That’s because she was never such a big slut before,” she turns to me. “What? One dick wasn’t enough, so you needed three more?” Her tone is mocking and, quite frankly, pissing me the fuck off.
“What’s going on here?” Regulus says behind her, moving between her and Cedric to stand at my side. “Is there a problem?” He looks between the three of us, resting his hand on the small of my back.
“Yeah, she wants to fuck my boyfriend. Guess you all aren’t enough for her.”
“Cho! Enough!” Cedric yells, grabbing the attention of everyone around us.
I prepare myself for Reggie to go off, to hex or jinx her, but instead, he just laughs. “No offense, Cho, was it?” Reggie cocks his head. “But I highly doubt that, considering one of us is with her at all times, and we trust her. Seems like maybe you could do with learning how to trust a little, however.”
Cho’s eyes narrow on Reggie for a moment before she turns to Cedric. “Are you really going to stand there and let him talk to me like that?”
Cedric goes to speak when Reggie steps forward, pulling me with him. “Considering how you talked to my girl, I’ll speak to you however I see fit,” he turns to Cedric. “You have a problem with that, Diggory?”
Cedric smirks and shakes his head. “Not at all, Black,” he waves his hand to Cho, whose mouth hangs open like a fish. “Y/n is my best mate. I won’t stand for the way she is speaking about her either,” Cedric smirks.
“Excellent,” Reggie smiles and turns to Cho. His smile falls, and his eyes narrow down at her. “I don’t put my hands on women, but I suggest you move it along, Chang. Unless you prefer my girl here to walk you out like a dog.”
“I wouldn’t mind,” I smirk at Cho, tilting my head curiously. “It’s your choice.”
Cho’s face turns red with embarrassment and anger. She huffs and flips her hair over her shoulder as she turns and walks away. I purse my lips, trying not to laugh, which is a lost cause the second I look at Cedric and Reggie.
“I don’t think we’ve officially met, Cedric,” Cedric offers his hand to Reggie.
Reggie shakes his hand with a smile. “Regulus. It’s nice to finally meet you. My girl speaks highly of you.”
Cedric smiles and nods. “I’d hope so. We’ve known each other for six years,” he chuckles. “Sorry about Cho, I didn’t know she was fucking psychotic,” he shrugs. “I’m not into drama. There’s enough of that shit going around every day, and I don’t need it in a relationship.”
Reggie waves a hand. “Don’t worry about it. You stuck up for her,” Reggie holds me close, and I rest a hand on his chest. “That’s all that matters to me,” he looks down at me with a smile and kisses my forehead. “As long as she’s safe and happy, I’m happy.”
“I feel the same way,” Cedric smiles at me. “She’s my best friend, and after all that shit that when down with McClaggen,” Cedric looks at me. “I’m happy you found people who treat you right.”
“Yeah,” I smile and look up at Reggie lovingly. “I sure did.”
Reggie winks and looks back at Cedric. “Well, I hate to cut this short, but I promised her a surprise, and I don’t intend to break it. It was nice to meet you, Cedric,” Reggie shakes his hand again. “I’ll let the others know you’re cool. I’ll be sure to put your name on the list for our next house party.”
Cedric shakes his hand with a nod and a kind smile. “Nice to meet you, too. And sounds like fun, we throw parties too. I’ll send an invite for you guys with y/n.”
We say goodbye to Cedric and make our way back to the castle. I hold Reggie’s arm with my hands as we walk. “I take it the surprise is at the castle?” I chuckle.
“No fooling you, little lamb,” Reggie laughs and smiles. We get closer to the grounds, and Reggie stops us and moves to stand in front of me with a bandana. “Here, put this on,” he moves it up to cover my eyes and tie it around my head.
“What’s going on, Reggie?” I giggle with excitement as he takes my hand and guides me.
“You’ll see,” I hear him chuckle. We walk for a few more minutes until we come to a stop, and I feel him behind me, his hands sliding up and down my arms. “You ready?” He asks in my ear, his warm breath falling down my shoulder and neck, sending a pleasant shiver up my spine.
“Yes,” my voice comes out as a breathy whisper as he kisses the sweet spot behind my ear he knows I love. He chuckles softly in my ear as his fingers until the blindfold moves away from my eyes, and I can see. “Oh, Reggie,” I gasp softly as I cover my mouth with my hand. “How did you?”
Reggie moves to stand at my side, facing me as he takes my hand and pulls it to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to my knuckles. “You told me before how much you love it. I’ll never forget anything you tell me, especially when it’s about you. Me and Tom had it built last night.”
I admire the small outdoor ice skating rink, and my eyes water with happiness. I turn to Reggie and jump into his arms, draping my arms around his neck and pressing my lips to his. “I love it,” I whisper against his lips when I pull back.
Reggie holds me up under my ass with one arm, and his free hand brushes my hair out of my face. “I’m happy you like it, babygirl. What do you say we try it out, hm?” He smiles and sets me back on my feet with a kiss on the tip of my nose.
Reggie puts on my skates for me and his before we step onto the ice. I feel my heart get lighter as I push myself forward and glide across the smooth surface, spinning around to see Reggie skating toward me with ease. “You know how to skate?” I ask with surprise.
Reggie nods as he stops right in front of me, placing his hands on my waist and pulling me to his chest. “Not until I found out how much you love it,” he smiles, admiring my face lovingly as he brushes my hair over my shoulder. Reggie looks into my eyes and smiles. “I learned how to for you.”
My heart flutters in my chest. I’ve never had someone learn how to do something just because I love it. “Reggie, that’s so sweet,” I drape my arms around his neck and pull him down to my level to press a kiss on his lips.
“I’d do anything for you, little lamb,” he breaks the kiss and cups the sides of my face over my hair. “I would happily light your match and watch the entire planet burn at our feet if that’s what you wanted.”
“You’d burn the world down for me?” I meet his eyes, seeing the blaze behind them.
Reggie shakes his head softly. “No. I would burn down the Earth . You are my world. My stars, my moon, my sun,” he places my hand on his chest, and I feel his heart beating in his chest. “You are every beat of my heart.”
“Oh, Reggie,” my voice comes out light and airy. “You’re mine, too,” I pull him in for another kiss. This time, the kiss is slow and passionate. It’s full of the little words we haven’t said, words that don’t need to be said right at this moment because we can feel them in our kiss. I’ll say them eventually, maybe tomorrow, maybe a week or a month from now. But right now, I don’t have to because I can feel that he knows, just as I hope he knows I do.
We skate together, gliding across the ice, and Reggie is really good. I have no idea where he learned the spin moves he does with me, but I really don’t care. All I care about at this moment is Reggie spinning me in his arms on the ice, stealing kisses, and telling me how beautiful I am.
I’m happy.
Tom
“Are you sure he’s even coming?” Draco huffs and leans against the trunk of a tree in the forest. Not a patient bone in his body, that one.
I roll my eyes and shake my head. They need to watch their tone, watch what they say in front of Krum. They could very likely blow this whole fucking thing up if one of them mentions her in front of him, despite my multiple warnings.
I turn to Draco, narrowing my eyes warningly. “Be patient. He’ll be here,” I look at him and Theodore. “And I don’t need to remind either of you to watch what you say, correct?”
Theodore rolls his eyes lazily as he pulls his cigarette to his lips. “Merlin, not this again.”
I take a step toward Theodore, ready to hex his ass for his smart mouth. “Simmer down, he’s just fucking with you,” Draco’s hand stops me on my chest.
I shove his hand off of me and turn to him. “This is not time to fuck around . I won’t lose what we have because he can’t keep his fucking mouth shut,” I turn around and shake my head. “Knew I should’ve had Regulus come instead,” I mutter to myself.
“Am I interrupting?” I hear a man’s thick, Bulgarian accent speak of to my side.
I pull my wand as a precaution as I turn to him, keeping my wand low at my side. “Depends. Are you Krum?” I narrow my eyes warily.
He holds up his empty hands and laughs. “I am a friend. Now, if you wouldn’t mind putting away your wand,” he nods to the wand in my hand.
I clench my jaw and put my wand back in the pocket of my robe, ready to draw quickly if needed. “You’re late.”
Krum lowers his hands back to his sides. “Had some pressing matters to handle first.”
Draco clears his throat as he and Theodore move to stand at my sides. “Such as?”
I don’t miss the slight glare Krum gives Draco before he wipes it off of his face. “Such as ensuring this wasn’t a trap. Sensitive topic, I’m sure you understand.”
“We understand,” I answer before one of them can say something stupid. “Are you alone?”
“I am never alone. But my friend has assured me he will remain unseen unless his assistance is required,” Krum turns to look at me. “Shall we discuss plans?”
I straighten my back, keeping my facial expressions in check and blank. “Our leader has agreed to host you over the holidays for a more formal meeting. How many wizards should we expect to host?”
“I’ll be attending with a few friends from Durmstrang, along with a few individuals from outside of the school. There will be five of us, myself included. More will join at a later date once security is confirmed.”
I nod once. “Very well, I will let our leader know,” the phrase ‘our leader’ leaves a sour taste on my tongue as I speak it. But I refuse to allow any emotions to show.
An owl I don’t recognize swoops down and lands on Krum’s shoulder with a note in its beak. My jaw clenches as he opens it and reads it. “It would appear that one of yours has been seen skating with a mudblood,” Krum smirks and tsks. “Surely you have no knowledge of this fraternization , correct?”
Shit. Shit. SHIT . Fucking Regulus.
I quickly school my expression as I come up with a lie. “I do, as a matter of fact.”
Krum’s eyebrow raises in curiosity. “Is that so? And what purpose would that serve?”
“To gain her trust. Lure her into a false sense of security,” I answer with a slight shrug. “Surely you realize there are more mudbloods and blood traitors here,” Krum nods once. “I have decided to lure certain individuals into thinking we are friends while also gaining recruits to assist in the endeavor.”
The corner of Krum’s mouth curls into a smirk, and it takes every ounce of my self-control not to kill him where he stands. “Very ingenious indeed. I must admit I had reservations about your ability to lead and gather the recruits required. However, you seem more than capable,” I clench my jaw tight as the fucking prick continues. “Is Ms. LeStrange aware of your plans and the measures you've taken?”
“She trusts me to do what needs to be done here,” I answer flatly, despite the raging fire coursing through my body. “Just as I am trusting you to do what needs to be done at Durmstrang.”
“Hm. Interesting tactic,” Krum smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “One that we most definitely should bring up at our next meeting. I’m sure you will have some most impressive results to share at that time.”
“I assure you, I will,” I fight the urge to respond through gritted teeth.
Krum nods. “Well, if there is nothing further, I will be heading back,” he nods to the castle beyond the forest behind me, Draco and Theodore. “Can't say I wish to stay longer. This school reeks of mudbloods and blood traitors. They leave a certain,” he rubs two fingers together and scrunches his nose as if he’s trying to find the right words. “Odor. Good night,” he smirks and disapperates right before our eyes.
“He knows,” Theodore speaks in a low tone at my side.
“He has no idea what he knows,” I answer through gritted teeth. “But it seems our plans to wait to tell her may have changed.”
“Meaning?” Draco’s voice comes out frustrated.
“Meaning we need to get her out of here. Tonight.”

A Nest of Vipers (Cormac McLaggen x Original Female Character - Slytherin)
Rating: Explicit 18+
Word Count: 4.3K
Warnings / Tags: Smut, Secret Relationship
Summary: Una Montague wouldn't be caught dead dating a Gryffindor. Luckily for her, the feeling was mutual as far as Cormac McLaggen was concerned.
A/N: Dear god, please forgive me for what I wrote while ovulating. First time writing an OFC but I think it's still as hot as reader-insert. OFC and McLaggen are both 18. Also I just want to say that I fucking hate JK Rowling and am gleefully bastardising her work.

Chapter 1: Smudge
The Slytherin common door shut with a thundering echo. Una Montague looked up from her Astronomy homework and locked eyes with Meredith Prewett. Uh-oh.
Professor McGonagall had asked Sabine to stay behind after Transfiguration that day and judging by the way her high heels stomped across the stone as she stormed towards the group of sixth-years sitting by the fire, it had not gone well.
“You’re in my seat,” said Sabine Zabini with a cutting glare.
Pansy Parkinson sprang up without argument. “Sorry Sabine. Let’s go,” she added to her friends who hastily packed up their things and made themselves scarce.
Una and Meredith rushed over from the little alcove at the lake window as Sabine sank into the onyx wing-backed chair with a woeful groan.
“Sab, are you okay?” fawned Meredith, perching on the arm of Sabine’s chair.
“If I ever see that old hag again, it’ll be too soon,” she hissed.
Una sat down on the hard marble table in front of them. “What did she want?” she asked. When McGonagall had asked her to stay behind, Sabine had told Una to go on without her, and so had she made her way down to the dungeons and found Meredith studying in the common room.
“She told me if I want to sit my Transfiguration N.E.W.T., I’d have to start taking remedial Transfiguration lessons with her.”
“No!” gasped Meredith. Una didn’t say anything. She knew from sitting beside Sabine all throughout the previous year that she was lucky to have even made it to seventh-year Transfiguration. But the first few weeks of term had made it apparent that she was not keeping up with the curriculum.
“Well, of course, I told her where she could stick her remedial Transfiguration.”
“You didn’t!” said Meredith. Sabine caught Una’s eyes before rolling hers.
“Of course, I didn’t, Meredith. No, I thanked her very much for the kind offer but told her I’m withdrawing from the class. Obviously.”
“Oh, Sab,” Una groaned. “You should have just done a few extra lessons with her.”
“Ugh, as if.”
“Who am I going to make fun of her hideous hat with now?” Una smirked, trying to hide her excitement and Sabine returned it. There was one person in Transfiguration who didn’t have a partner and Una was already making silent plans to sit next to him.
Cormac McLaggen. Tall, stupidly beautiful, beautifully stupid Cormac McLaggen. God, she wanted him. But Slytherins and Gryffindors barely spoke to each other here unless completely necessary in lessons. Both houses liked to think they were the others’ opposite. But Una knew that they were simply two sides of the same coin.
Cormac barely even looked at Una. And for some reason that made Una want him more.
When she, Sabine and Meredith walked down the corridor arm-in-arm, boys - even the Gryffindors - couldn’t help but stare. Slack-jawed, awestruck, terrified by the trio’s powerful feminine energy. But not Cormac. He was head and shoulders taller than the three of them so he didn’t even need to avert his gaze - he just simply looked over them as if they weren’t there.
Sabine and Meredith (but especially Sabine) would be horrified if they knew about Una’s crush. Sure, he was good looking but it would be social suicide to date a Gryffindor. Even one as well-connected as him - apparently his Uncle was extremely high-up in the Ministry.
Una had a stupid habit of wanting what she couldn’t have. And, fuck, she was desperate to have him. Even just once. Just to find out what he’d be like. He was so big and broad and downright intimidating. But Una was sure she could have him whimpering, begging for her-
“Hello? Earth to Head Girl?” Sabine and Meredith looked at her expectantly. Una blinked a few times and shook her head.
“Sorry - I was thinking about… Transfiguration. What were you saying?”
“Who are you going to sit beside tomorrow?” asked Meredith.
“Ugh, I don’t know.” Una made a show of rolling her eyes. “I’ll probably just sit at the back by myself. I’ll get a lot more work done without you there,” she teased Sabine.
“You’re such a goody-two-shoes,” said Sabine, pulling her long, black braids over her shoulder. “Whatever are you going to do without me leading you astray?”
It wasn’t so much a question of what, thought Una, but who.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A bag landed on Cormac McLaggen’s desk with a thud and he looked up in surprise to see Una Montague perched on the edge of the desk, looking down at him. “You’re good at Transfiguration, right?” she asked abruptly.
He furrowed his eyebrows together. “Me?”
“Yeah, you. Can I sit here?”
What fresh hell was this? What was one of the Vipers doing sitting on his desk? It was rare to see any of them alone. Cormac looked behind her sceptically. “Where’s your friend?”
Sighing heavily, Una pulled her bag back onto her shoulder. “I’ll sit somewhere else.”
She turned to walk away, swishing her hair as she went. But before she took a step he said quickly, “Wait - yeah, you can sit here.” He supposed it would be poor manners to let a pretty girl, albeit a notoriously mean one, sit by herself at the back of the class when there was a perfectly good empty seat next to him.
“Only if I’m not inconveniencing you.”
Already feeling like he was about to regret it, he gestured to the seat.
Cormac continued to look unsurely at her as she slid into the seat next to him. “What happened to Sabine?”
Una rummaged in her bag. Cormac expected her to take out her textbook but instead, she withdrew a small, black compact mirror and some lipgloss. “Oh, she dropped Transfiguration...” Cormac watched quietly as the lipgloss wand drew across her lips, spreading a shimmering pink glaze over them. And for some reason, he felt like he should look away. Like he was watching something extremely private. But he didn’t. He couldn’t. “She couldn’t handle it.”
She pressed her lips together and pouted a little in the mirror, examining her neat work. The way she preened herself made Cormac want to reach out and smear the gloss over her face, just to see her reaction.
She snapped the compact shut and jolted him out of his daze with a start.
“I should give you two for flinching,” she smirked.
Professor McGonagall strode past them to the front of the class and the chattering students quietened down. She announced that they were going to be working on conjuring birds today.
“Might I remind you that your N.E.W.Ts are only a few months away and none of you are yet to successfully conjure more than a feather.”
The class groaned and got to work, trying with limited success to conjure birds using the Avis spell.
“Why is this so bloody difficult,” grumbled Cormac after some time, concentrating on his wand tip while Una lazily brushed a comb through her hair - her wand abandoned on the table. “Conjuring inanimate objects? Fine. But birds…”
“Have a lot of trouble with birds, then?”
“Oh, very funny.”
“I’m serious. I’ve never even seen you with a girl.”
Cormac lowered his wand and turned in his chair slightly. Oh, so this was why she sat here, was it? He couldn’t deny she was good-looking. But still, a Slytherin.
“Oh yeah, been watching me, have you?”
“I’m just very observant.”
“I’m single if that’s what you’re asking?”
Una rolled her eyes. “You wish, Cormac.”
Cormac leaned back in his chair and looked her over, resting his arm on the backrest as he did.
“What about you?”
“What about me?” she asked innocently, putting her brush in her bag before raising her wand and pretending to concentrate on conjuring birds.
“I’ve never seen you with anyone. Except for the Vipers. Or is that a thruple situation?”
“The Vipers?”
“You know, Slytherin’s other monsters. Sabine and Meredith.”
Una laughed. He had half-expected a shrill cackle. But her laugh was warm, even genuine. “Oh, so is that what they’re calling us in Gryffindor Tower?
He shrugs.
“It’s catchy.”
“So? Are you?”
She too lowered her wand and leaned in closer to him. “Are you asking if we fuck each other?” she murmured, staring intently into his green eyes. “Are you picturing me rolling around in the sheets with them in the Slytherin girls dorm? Making them moan my name?” she teased.
Cormac paused and swallowed. “What if I am?” he said, and was pleased when it sounded more confident than he felt. They were both playing with Fiendfyre, talking like this so brazenly in the classroom. But he wasn’t sure who was more skilled in this Dark Art.
“I should slap you,” Una said, moving closer still so he could hear her barely audible admonishment. He felt her bare leg in her stupidly short skirt pressing against his.
“Don’t. I can only get so hard.”
Her eyelashes dipped as she looked down at his lap. Una drew a sharp inhale when his fingers twitched suddenly towards his belt.
He smirked.
“I was joking. But I should give you two for flinching.”
Uno looked up again at him coolly. “You’re not gonna give anything to me.”
“Oh yeah?” He gave her an arrogant smile as if he found it hard to believe. “Why’s that?”
“First of all, I’m not that easy. And second of all, I wouldn’t be caught dead dating a Gryffindor.”
“Who said anything about dating? What if -”
“Miss Montague, Mr McLaggen. Is there something amusing you’d like to share with the rest of us?”
Silence fell over the class again and Una and Cormac turned hastily in their seats to face the front.
“I was just explaining the theory, Professor” Una said sweetly, seemingly unphased by the interruption.
“Then perhaps you could demonstrate?” Professor McGonagall challenged, calling her bluff.
Una pointed her wand and out shot six yellow twittering canaries.
McGonagall’s lips pursed together in a thin line. Cormac was sure she was about to award Una points but instead she addressed him. “And Mr McLaggen?”
Cormac extended his own wand. A stream of feathers erupted from the end and floated down onto the floor. Una bit her lips, trying to stifle a snicker at his expense.
Any further embarrassment on his part was saved when the bell rang signalling the end of class and McGonagall dismissed them.
“I suppose I’ll see you on Friday?” asked Una casually, positioning her bag on her shoulder.
“Thursday.”
“The next lesson’s not 'til Friday.”
“Slughorn’s dinner thing. You’re not ditching it again, are you?”
“I don’t know… Sabine and Meredith say it’s a waste of time, sucking up to an old has-been like Slughorn.”
“They don’t need to come.”
“Trying to get me alone, Cormac?”
Cormac laughed. “It might just be nice for you to make some new friends. You’re not that bad when you’ve slithered away from the Viper’s nest.”
Una narrowed her eyes. “I happen to like my current friends, thank you very much.”
“Sure but I only meant -”
“Believe it or not, I don’t actually care what anyone from your house thinks of me or my friends. If you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to my thruple.”
And with that, Cormac watched as Una strutted out of the classroom, leaving him to kick himself for managing to fumble the quaffle so hard - right when it was going his way too.
“Did you miss me terribly, Una?” cooed Sabine when Una found her and Meredith beside the common room fire that afternoon.
“It was the worst,” she said, plopping herself down on the sofa, watching the way the fire danced against the green tiles. “McGonagall picked on me and didn’t even give me a measly point for doing the Avis spell correctly. And nonverbally I might add.”
“Typical,” said Meredith. “It’s so unfair. She hates us.”
“Who did you end up sitting next to?” asked Sabine, flicking through her magazine.
“Erm, that guy… McLaggen,” said Una, as if his name was of little consequence.
“Not that oaf.”
“I know,” said Una. “And it’s not like I could even copy him - he was about as useful as a chocolate cauldron. I’m surprised he’s not in remedial Transfiguration.”
Sabine laughed but Meredith paused thoughtfully.
“He is quite handsome though, isn’t he? And rich, I think.”
“Eugh, Meredith. You have terrible taste,” said Sabine.
Una quickly copied Sabine’s look of disgust while Meredith backtracked.
“I just meant he’s alright to look at. Still a Gryffindor though, obviously.”
“And an idiot. Didn’t you hear how he ended up in the hospital wing last year? Eddie Carmichael dared him to eat Doxy Eggs for a bet. Some Head Boy he is, Una. Between him and McLaggen, you’ll have your work cut out for you this year.”
Una wrinkled her nose.
“Poor Una,” said Meredith sympathetically.
“I did find out some good gossip though,” said Una raising her eyebrows and leaning back on the sofa. “The Gryffindors call the three of us The Vipers.”
“That’s rude,” said Meredith but Sabine shrieked in a fit of giggles.
“I love it!” she laughed. “We really are just living in their heads, aren’t we?”
Una grinned. “I know.”
Sabine closed her magazine and stood up. “Let’s go down to the Great Hall. I’m starving. What do vipers eat anyway?”
“If they’re anything like Ashwinders then insects. Raw eggs,” said Meredith in an attempt to be helpful.
“That’s disgusting, Meredith,” said Sabine, linking her arm through Una’s. Meredith hurriedly latched on to her other side.
“Speaking of dinner,” Una said. “I’m thinking about going to Slughorn’s on Thursday.”
“Ugh, pass,” said Meredith.
“Why?” asked Sabine, giving Una a shrewd look. “Blaise said it was terribly boring.”
“I know but I probably ought to as Head Girl. Bit of a snub if I don’t go twice. And maybe it’ll help my marks in potions.”
“You reckon?” asked Meredith.
“Well, it can’t hurt my marks if he likes me.”
“That’s a good point,” said Sabine thoughtfully. “Alright, I’ll come too then. I need all the help I can get since I’ve got one less N.E.W.T. this year.”
“Yeah, me too.”
Shit, thought Una.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blaise Zabini was waiting in the common on Thursday night when Sabine, Una and Meredith finally ascended from the girl’s dormitory.
“Mum was complaining you’ve not written to her yet,” he told Sabine.
“I’ve been busy.”
“All four N.E.W.Ts proving to be time consuming, then?”
“Shut up.”
The four of them made their way along to Professor Slughorn’s office. They opened the door to find several plush seats already occupied around the extravagantly decorated table. Una felt irked when she noticed McLaggen was notably absent. This whole thing really would have been a waste of time if he didn’t turn up after all.
“Welcome, welcome!” Boomed Professor Slughorn. “So nice of you to join us. Blaise, good to see you again - and you’ve brought your sister!”
“Yes, sir. Thank you for inviting me,” said Sabine graciously as they found their seats and Slughorn beamed. Sabine had such a way of making people feel flattered, even special just from her presence.
“And our Head Girl, Miss Montague. And Miss Prewett! I taught your father, you know.”
“Yes, sir. He spoke extremely highly of you,” said Meredith, sitting down.
Una sat on Sabine’s right, leaving a few seats next to her empty. Just in case, said a small voice in her head.
Slughorn began introducing everyone. Una was surprised to notice the way Blaise’s eyes lingered on a fifth-year girl, Ginny Weasley. Though she wasn’t sure if it was distaste or something entirely opposite. Interesting. Una didn’t say anything - she just made a mental note of it, the way she so often did with snippets of potentially damning information.
Slughorn’s office door opened again and Una looked to see Eddie Carmichael entering. Her heart sank as she turned back around again.
“You could have held it open,” said Cormac McLaggen’s voice. Una froze, not daring to glance at the door, incase Sabine noticed her constant fidgeting in her seat.
“Sorry, mate,” said Eddie, pulling out the free seat beside Una.
Cormac slid into the open chair before Eddie could. “That’s more like it, cheers mate.” He looked at Una. “Alright? - ouch!”
Eddie slapped the back of Cormac’s head before sitting down on his other side. Cormac ran his hand through his dark, curly blonde hair.
“Idiots,” scoffed Sabine under her breath.
And Una had to agree.
Cormac shuffled his seat in closer to the table. His shoulders were so broad that Una could feel his arm pressing up against her. Even if she folded her arms, she could still feel him, taking up far too much space.
As the evening went on, they listened to Slughorn regale stories of all the famous students he had taught, each of them members of what he called his ‘Slug Club’. Every time he said the name it made Una cringe. He fawned over Cormac, asking him about his father’s Ministry connections, praised Meredith’s dad’s apparent Potions prowess as a youth and asked Sabine and Blaise what their famous mother was up to. He asked Una about her father - a prominent benefactor of St Mungo's - but was more interested in Una's Head Girl duties. And Una was grateful for this - the less she had to talk about St Mungo's the better.
After dinner, Slughorn summoned a bottle of Elf-made wine with a flourish of his wand. “Just for those who are of age,” he chided the younger students in a sing-song voice, “And only a glass each. Or else you’ll need an Awakening Draught tomorrow!” He chuckled. “And speaking of which - “ Slughorn looked at the seventh-years mischievously, “- you’d do well to brush up on that ahead of our lesson on Monday.”
Sabine grinned at Una and Meredith. It had been worth enduring the evening after all, if they were getting tips about the following class.
As Una drank her glass of wine, she felt Cormac’s leg brush against hers. Maybe the wine had emboldened her but she didn’t shrink away. Instead, she shifted slightly, leaning her leg against his.
On Una’s left, Sabine and Blaise began sniping at each other again when Blaise suggested that their mother might send her a howler. On her right, Cormac was telling Eddie about his plans to try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
Una lifted her glass to her lips but paused when she felt something. A large, warm hand grazing her bare leg. Cormac’s. She looked down but her lap was covered by the tablecloth.
She moved in closer to the table and Cormac made to withdraw his hand when he felt her shift but she placed her own hand firmly on top of his, before returning hers to the table.
Cormac continued talking to Eddie as if nothing had happened while Una felt his hand trail further up her leg and under her skirt. She took another sip of wine and pretended to listen interestedly as Slughorn started waxing lyrical about a friend he had who was writing a biography about a Vampire.
“I simply must introduce you to Eldred Woprle, Miss Carrow. He has a lot of contacts at the Daily Prophet, you know.”
Una felt blood rushing below her waist as Cormac’s fingertips traced across her inner thigh. Her own hand gripped her wine glass with more force than was necessarily required, just for something to keep herself steady.
“I was sort of hoping Potter would be here tonight. It’d be good to get him on side before tryouts.”
“I don’t know why you’re arsed, mate. I keep telling you - football. Now that’s a real game.”
The plush, cozy room now felt stiflingly hot. Adrenaline coursed through Una’s body as she shakily raised her glass to her lips to try and hide her face. Cormac’s hand skirted over the crux of her thigh. Wine met her lips as she tilted her glass, letting the fruity, slightly sour liquid infiltrate her mouth.
“Well maybe I’ll tell Mum that you’ve got detention with Flitwick already - then we’ll see who gets a howler.”
Una’s heart raced in her chest. The several conversations going on in the room turned to white noise. Slowly, carefully, so as not to brush against Sabine, Una moved her legs apart. A silent invitation. She breathed shakily as she felt Cormac’s fingertips slip under the hem of her soaking wet underwear.
“My my!” cried Slughorn suddenly, causing Una to flinch and inhale an entire mouthful of wine. “Look at the time!” Cormac quickly removed his hand as Una began choking and spluttering.
Sabine gave her a concerned look as she coughed. “Are you alright? You’re bright red.”
Una wiped her lips, trying to compose herself quickly. “I’m - I’m fine,” she gasped. “Just went down the wrong way. And wine makes my cheeks flush.” She extracted her compact mirror and lipgloss, re-applying it hastily.
“It’s gone straight to your face too, mate,” said Eddie Carmichael, looking at Cormac.
Cormac laughed and touched his hand to his warm face. He cleared his throat. “Yeah, yeah, I suppose it does a bit.”
Una looked at him and felt herself flush even deeper when she saw him press two fingers thoughtfully against his lips. They were wet.
“Oh, how time flies when you’re having fun. You’d all better be off back to your dormitories. And if Mr Filch gives you any trouble, you just send him straight to me,” said Slughorn, waving his hand in the air.
“Let’s get out of here,” said Sabine, standing up abruptly.
Una pushed her chair back and followed her, Meredith and Blaise out of the room without so much of a backwards look.
As soon as they got out into the corridor, Meredith laughed.
“What a drag that was. Honestly, it would be worth failing Potions if I never had to endure that again.”
“I know,” agreed Sabine.
“I think I preferred it to another evening with Malfoy and the rest,” scoffed Blaise. “They’re always brooding these days. And I suppose the wine wasn’t too bad. If you don’t choke on it, that is.”
“Hilarious,” said Una.
“What did you think, Una? You were unusually quiet.”
Una’s abdomen tingled. Her brain worked overtime to come up with an excuse while blood rushed in her ears.
“Well, I had you lot squabbling on my left and two idiots on my right talking non-stop about Quidditch.” Una rolled her eyes convincingly. “But it wasn’t too dreadful. At least we know what’s coming up in Potions on Monday.”
“Well, that’s it sorted then. You can go with Blaise next time and report back to Meredith and I if Slughorn gives us any more hints,” said Sabine, with finality.
Una mulled this over, pursing her lips together thoughtfully. It certainly would be easier to talk to Cormac McLaggen if she only had one person keeping an eye on her. She could hardly just be expected to talk to Blaise and only Blaise all night. She was allowed to network, right? And perhaps, she thought, Blaise would like to network with Ginny Weasley.
“Fine,” said Una. “But you owe me. Big time.”
Sabine linked her arms between Una and Meridith as they sauntered along the corridor to the dungeons. Una still felt faintly embarrassed about her unseemly choking display. With her free arm, she searched for her mirror in her tiny handbag, wondering if she had any wine down her front.
“Shit,” said Una, stopping and the four of them halted. “I think I left my compact.”
Meredith groaned. “I’m not going back in there. If I have to hear anything else about Vampires-”
“It’s fine - go ahead. I’ll see you two in the dormitory. See you later, Blaise.”
Una untangled herself, turned on her heels and passed the last few stragglers leaving Slughorn’s dinner party.
Her heels clicked as she walked back up the deserted corridor and around the corner.
“Forget something?”
Cormac McLaggen was sitting on a window ledge in the dark hallway, checking himself out in Una’s little black mirror. He snapped it shut and hoisted himself off the stone ledge, walking towards her.
Una extended her palm expectantly.
“What’s the magic word?” he asked, standing in front of her. Una looked up at him as he towered over her. He was so tall she had to strain - her face was only at eye level with his chest.
“Avada Kedavra?” suggested Una, attempting to snatch the compact from his hands but he reacted quickly, pulling it out of her reach.
“Ooh, not quite,” he grinned.
She took a step towards him, their chests almost touching as she looked up at him through her lashes. “Please, Cormac?”
He hadn’t expected her to surrender so quickly. Cormac grudgingly gave her the compact back and they stared at each other for a few moments, neither of them daring to address what had just happened in Slughorn’s office.
“You know, that lipgloss is very pretty,” he said, curling two fingers under Una’s chin. Her heart pounded in her chest again as she looked up into his strikingly green eyes. His own lips were rosy, tinged slightly pink from drinking the same wine. “Too pretty.”
Cormac took his thumb and slowly dragged it across her bottom lip, smearing it down her chin. He squeezed her face roughly and Una smacked his hand away, scowling.
“There. That’s better.” He gave her an arrogant smirk. “See you tomorrow.”
Una let out a scoff of disbelief as Cormac walked away, leaving her standing alone in the corridor.
She opened her compact and examined herself in the mirror - a pink, glittering streak was smudged across her chin and there were faint red marks from where he squeezed her face.
He was right, she thought as she looked at her slightly dishevelled appearance, she did look better like this.

chapter three series masterlist
The staff and professors did a marvelous job trying to keep Hogwarts a safe haven and a welcome distraction, doing it as much for the students as for themselves. As the last breaths of autumn swirled frosty air on the grounds, they had the idea of having a ball. They knew that winter break would be here before long and that students would be returning home to face the real world; it would be a gift to give them a night of carefree fun.
The afternoon that Flitwick broke the news to your house, the common room erupted and Luna and your friends quickly dissolved into eager chatter about dates and dresses. You chimed in amiably. You were excited to have something to look forward to before returning home, but it was met with some anxiety about who you would go with. In your Fourth Year you had all decided to go to the Yule Ball as a group of friends, it seemed better that way, but you could tell that a lot had changed since then and your friends were now eager to go with a proper date, which meant you needed one too.
The excitement was so palpable around the ball that it didn’t take long for couples to start pairing off, everyone eager to find a suitable match and not to be left alone. Sure enough, within a couple of days, Cormac McLaggen pulled you aside on the way out of Ancient Runes. You knew him well enough from all of the Gryffindors you hung out with and the fact that he played quidditch with Ron and Harry. You had the same general group of friends but he had never pulled you aside to speak one on one like this before. You tried to shoot Hermione a ‘Help Me!’ look as she walked by but she simply smiled and shot you a thumbs up before abandoning you.
“Y/N” Cormac started, getting your attention as you smiled at him. “I was hoping you might do me the honor of being my date to the ball?”
Your mouth ran dry and your palms felt clammy. There was no reason to say no. He was perfectly lovely and honestly would probably make a great date, but part of you couldn’t bear to say yes. You were holding onto the tiniest thread, the smallest possibility that maybe a certain blonde Slytherin would ask you. His demeanor had certainly changed this term, and for once it didn’t seem out of the realm of possibility.
“Uhm, can I think about it?” you asked kindly.
“Certainly” he said, blushing slightly, whether out of embarrassment or something else you weren’t sure.
“I promise, I’ll let you know soon” you said, trying to lift his spirits.
“Thanks” he replied, smiling genuinely as he walked away.
Your friends begged you relentlessly to say yes. Cormac was a catch in their eyes and they were sure to remind you of his many attractive qualities over the next couple of days. Needing a break from it all, you snuck into the library, to your favorite quiet corner to read with sizable window seat and a view over the lake. You watched the snow fall gently, blanketing the world in white as you lay your head back, enjoying the solitude.
Draco had had the same idea, exhausted of Pansy pestering him about going together and his friends agonizing over every new couple. He sought solitude in the library when he saw you framed in the large window. The shimmer from the snow set your face in an angelic glow. You worried your bottom lip with your teeth, deep in thought and he couldn’t tear his gaze away from your lips, your long eyelashes that fluttered against your rosy cheeks, your hair, your everything. He realized too late his feet were moving towards you before his brain could register what he possibly had to say.
Movement out of the corner of your eye caught your attention as Draco approached you, clearing his throat and holding up his book by way of excuse.
“Looks like we had the same idea" he said.
You smiled at that. Your shared love of reading used to be one of your favorite things about him. You tucked your feet under you to make room for him on the window seat and he sat facing you, but glancing out the window.
“This ball is driving me insane” he said after a moment’s silence. Your heart skipped a beat at his chosen topic of conversation.
“Mm, yeah” you said, laughing quietly. “Everyone’s lost their head… it feels so complicated.”
“Right?” he replied genuinely. “Like it should be so much easier to just pick a date and have a good time.”
You laughed at that again and he turned to face you, meeting your eyes. Your knees were inches from his, and this was probably the longest time you’d spent in such close contact with him, your body humming and tingling in response. Your heart was beating so fast and so hard you were sure he could see it through your sweater and you tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear, nervous under his gaze.
“Y/N” he said then, leaning forward, placing a hand on your knee. You could feel his warmth through your leggings. Was this really happening?
“Just – try to have a good time. Don’t let it get to your head. Don’t let anyone ruin it for you. I’m sure there are loads of good blokes lined up to take you. Just, have as much fun as you can.”
He looked like he was trying to say something more between his words that you couldn’t pick up on. His eyes flitted imperceptibly to your lips before he quickly pulled away, righting his suit jacket and wandering back towards a darker corner of the library.
It was the best he could do. It was the most he could say without saying it all. Have as much fun as you can because next term, I am going to do something so unforgivable that neither you nor the rest of the world will look at me the same way again.
This was the beginning of the end, and you deserved so much better than the reality that was coming for you.
You felt like an idiot for thinking for even a second that Draco Malfoy would be seen with you, a half-blood, on his arm in any public function, anywhere. History be damned, nothing changed. Later that afternoon, you let Cormac know you would go with him and he hugged you genuinely, the joy clear on his face. By the time word of your coupling reached the Slytherin common room, Draco had resigned himself to going with Pansy, but that didn’t mean the news didn’t cut like a knife in his gut. Cormac was a good guy and a good quidditch player if not a little full of himself. Draco should be happy for you. But all he wanted to do was pout and scowl, which he did with practiced ease.
As the ball approached, the deep, overwhelming sadness and embarrassment you had felt at your dashed hopes of a date with Draco simmered. It simmered and it grew from pain into white-hot anger.
Draco didn’t want to go with you? He didn’t want to be seen with a “mudblood”? Fine. You would go with Cormac and you would make Draco regret every waking moment of it. Your newfound anger and bitterness felt good, felt like you were in control and could wield the power for once instead of being helpless, always on the receiving end of disappointment. Fragile. The victim. Hermione picked up on your change in demeanor, happy at first that you seemed excited to go with Cormac, to shop for a dress and new shoes, but realizing perhaps a little too late what it was all about.
You picked out the perfect dress, a deep emerald, Draco’s favorite. It was floor-length with an open back and a steep thigh-high slit up the side that gave a tantalizing view of your long legs. You paired it with three-inch heels, thanking Merlin that Cormac would be tall enough to accompany you in them. You teased your hair so it fell in luscious waves over your shoulder and spent more than twice as long as you ever had putting the finishing touches on your makeup. The end result was stunning. You were going to bring this boy to his knees.
Your friends gushed over your outfit, your hair, your makeup, chiming in on what a lucky guy Cormac would be, thinking that all the extra effort was for him. Hermione simply gave you a knowing look, not judging, just noticing as she pressed a friendly kiss to your cheek as you met up in the hallway.
“Absolutely stunning” she said.
When you met up with Cormac outside of the Great Hall, he immediately flushed red from his cheeks to the tips of his ears and you worried for a moment that you may have pushed it a little too far. For someone always so sure of himself, he stumbled clumsily over his words.
“Y-you l-look lovely, Y/N, stunning, really. I-Wow. We make a good pair” he said, recovering nicely. And he wasn’t the only one who thought so as a sea of whispers and murmurs followed your entrance into the hall.
Draco heard you before he saw you. That is, he heard the murmurs in the crowd and Blaise say beside him “Merlin’s Beard would you look at McLaggen and Y/N, she is on fire tonight boys.”
Draco turned to take you in and nothing could have prepared him for what he saw.
‘On fire’ didn’t even scratch the surface.
Your thick lashes were set against eye makeup that made your eyes pop, your cheeks were pink with excitement and your lips were shiny and glossed. Your hair was pillowed in soft waves and you were in a tight-fitting dress with a ridiculous slit down the front revealing your bare legs. My color he thought to himself absently as he reveled in the way the emerald green sat on your skin like pure perfection. He simultaneously wanted to cover you with his jacket and pull you back to his dormitory. He watched you like a man bewitched, unaware that he was open-mouthed staring until Pansy slapped his arm and tugged him onto the dance floor, throwing her arms around his neck and pressing herself into him.
You were making the best of the situation at hand, trying to focus on Cormac and getting through the night. He was a perfectly acceptable date, but from the moment you entered the Great Hall you could feel a pair of grey eyes on you like a hex on the back of your neck. You hoped your plan was working. Draco looked so handsome in his new all-black suit that you felt a physical ache in your body, like it was rejecting the distance between you.
After several dances, you managed to steal a glance between the moving bodies and felt a burning in your throat and behind your eyes as you saw Draco’s attention was monopolized by the woman in his arms. Pansy was pressing herself against him, in an emerald dress of her own, leaving almost no space between them, nearly nose to nose. And that is when you finally realized, finally accepted that this was a lost cause. That no amount of makeup, curled hair, high heels or green dresses was going to change a thing. You willed yourself not to cry even as you felt the tears in your eyes. How could you be so stupid?
He tried to focus, to avoid being utterly rude to his date but the picture of you was seared in his mind like the bright flash of a camera that left black spots in his vision.
You, in emerald green.
Did she do that on purpose? he thought. He stole glances between moving bodies as McLaggen led you onto the dance floor, he watched as your eyes traced his face, as his hands glided down your back over your bare skin.
Pansy pulled herself closer to him and he suddenly felt hot and stuffy, his suit and perfectly knotted tie like a straightjacket and a chokehold. He tugged at his collar, his mind racing. McLaggen. What right did he have? What made him such a good date? Did he know that your favorite color was blue? That you were afraid of thunder and lightning? That the first time you tried to ride a bike, you fell and skinned your knee? Of course not. He didn’t know any of that. But Draco did. He was the one that learned the charm to turn the white daisies in the field blue for you, he was the one that hugged you the morning after a thunder storm, reassuring you that it would be okay, he was the one that conjured bubbles that sang when they popped after you fell off your bike to make you laugh. He did. She should be with me he thought suddenly.
You realized too late that you wouldn’t be able to control your emotions. Hoping to save your dignity, you whispered curtly “I’m so sorry, Cormac, would you excuse me?” and holding yourself up by the very last thread of strength you had, you walked quickly and purposefully off the dance floor, towards the doorway, fighting every urge to run.
She should be with me, Draco thought, but as he lifted his head to find you, you were gone. Cormac stood alone on the dance floor looking dumfounded and Draco followed his line of sight to the door just as you pushed past several people to make it through the entrance. Draco quickly stepped away amidst frustrated cries from Pansy and let his feet follow you without hesitation, dipping in and out of the crowd unseen. He burst into the hallway, caught the slightest glimpse of you taking off around a corner and hurried after you.
You let your feet carry you without thinking, seeking solitude and a place to think. So many people littered the castle in the throes of the party that you resigned yourself to a hallway open to the outdoors that aligned one of the courtyards, the biting wind and snow flurries enough to scare people away and wake you up. You let out a shaky breath that puffed in front of you, frantically wiping the tears that poured unwillingly from your eyes, desperate to save your makeup, your strength, this night.
You were exasperated when you heard the door open and close behind you, wondering who would be crazy enough to be outside too and you turned just as a head of bright blonde hair came around the corner. No. You thought to yourself. Please, anyone but him. Not now. You sucked in a deep breath, straightening up.
“Draco?” you called, arms crossed against your body in frustration and cold. “What are you doing out here?”
“Looking for you” he said simply, as surprised to hear the truth coming from his own lips as you looked to hear it. “I saw McLaggen… saw you leave…I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
Your cheeks flushed at the idea that anyone had seen that play out, least of all Draco.
“Well, I’m fine. Just wanted some fresh air is all. You can go back to the ball, back to Pansy” you said, trying not to sound bitter and jealous and failing miserably.
He was quiet for a moment. “You’re doing me a favor, really. I think I’m better off out here. I haven’t been the best date.”
You looked up at him, doubt etched on your face, still angry but admittedly curious.
“I have a very hard time believing that, Draco” you replied, gesturing at his overall put-togetheredness, his suit, his perfect hair, his everything.
“I don’t think my company was the problem as much as the fact that she could tell hers wasn’t what I wanted.” He walked closer to you and saw your chin quivering, which he thought was from the cold until he saw a few tears escape down the side of your face. You wiped furiously at them as they dripped unrelenting, a dam of pressure building up behind your eyes that was threatening to break. He reached out slowly and brushed the pad of his thumb against your cheek, no longer thinking about what he was doing or the consequences, just wanting to touch you, to make you feel better, like he used to.
“You look breathtakingly beautiful” he said quietly. “I couldn’t keep my eyes off of you. That dress… that color… it suits you.”
“Draco” you whispered, a plea, a prayer, a question with a thousand more behind it.
He tried to come up with the words to say, an explanation to make it all make sense, to verbalize how he felt, how he had felt for years, what was going through his mind, how you had begun to eclipse his every thought and he could only come up with one way to answer you. He ran his fingers down your jaw, his presence now overbearingly close, his cologne overtaking you. He tilted your chin up gently to face him and his lips ghosted over yours, touching them only slightly, barely. Your breathing was erratic, causing your chest to visibly rise and fall, straining against him. He wasn’t teasing you so much as he was letting the moment last as long as he could bear it, relishing in it, never wanting it to end but so desperately seeking the release on the other side. In the end, it was you that relented, pressing forward slightly to close the distance.
At first, he kissed you like you would break, so tender, so gently, so soft. It was such a stark contrast to his entire aura, his entire being, his tough exterior, that your brain could hardly comprehend it. His hand cupped the side of your face, pulling you toward him and every inch of your body met his, your arms finally unfurling to wrap around his neck. The feeling of you pressed against him broke the last ounce control he was struggling to hold onto as his tongue traced your bottom lip, opening you up to him. He tasted like champagne and your head was dizzy as he walked you backwards, lips never leaving yours, pressing you gently into the stone wall behind you; the cool brick contrasting with his warm body caging you in. Your tongues tangled as your fingers wrapped into the hair at the base of his neck, eliciting a groan deep in his chest that curled your toes as you pulled him into you, impossibly closer.
It could have been minutes, it could have been hours that you lost yourselves in each other when the sounds of footsteps and shouts down a nearby hall snapped you both back to reality. As you pulled back reluctantly, you took in the look in his eyes, desire etched in them in the way they were eclipsed by his dark pupils. He had an uncanny blush on his porcelain skin and he ran a thumb over his lips, now swollen with your kisses. He glanced briefly down the corridor, then back at you, smirking mischievously before you both broke into a fit of comfortable laughter that reminded you of the way things used to be.
He rested his forehead against yours, his fingers reaching to tangle in your own. He tried to hold onto the moment, but it was like floo powder slipping through his fingers. He was being unimaginably selfish. He couldn’t do this with you.
Always so attuned to him, you noticed the change in his demeanor almost immediately.
“Draco” you whispered, trying to call him back to you. Don’t do this you thought desperately. Don’t you pull away from me. He looked at you, the grey smoke back in his eyes that screamed of frustration, of pain and of guilt.
“I-I can’t do this” he said finally, pulling back, letting your hand fall to your side.
“What do you mean?” you said, wanting to kick yourself for how desperate you sounded. That same tone in your voice nearly brought Draco to his knees. He was hurting you all over again, just like he did on the train platform in your first year when he didn’t hug you back.
“I’m sorry” he said, turning to walk away.
Only this time, you weren’t going to let him.
“No” you said sternly, stepping after him, grasping his wrist in your hand and pulling him back to face you and frantically pressing your lips to his again. You knew he felt something and you were desperate to make him confront it. His resolve weakened as he took you in his arms again. He could turn away from a hug when he was eleven, he couldn’t turn away from this as he grasped your face, kissing you back earnestly. You pulled away.
“You don’t get to do that to me anymore. Please. Talk to me, Draco. Don’t pull away from me again. Whatever it is, whatever this is, we can figure it out. I’m here for you, I’m always here for you.”
“That’s the problem” he said, stepping back slightly, his voice rising.
You looked at him, baffled, as he continued, “You’re here for me, but I can’t be there for you. I’m not good for you, Y/N. This isn’t safe. I’m… dangerous. To everyone, but especially to you.”
“I’m the one who gets to decide that for myself” you said strongly. "I’m tired of this world feeding us a narrative of fear, of living in constant anxiety about what’s around every corner, about who we can and cannot trust. I’m done fighting it. I’ve known you for more than five years, Draco, and even when every other person tells me that I should be afraid of you, even when you tell me I should be afraid of you, I know in my heart I have nothing to fear. You would never hurt me.”
“But other people will. People… I’m associated with…” his voice dropped to barely a whisper as pain wracked his face. “…My parents…” he said finally.
“You are not your parents, Draco. You never have been.”
His face scrunched in anguish at that, his head falling at words he had never allowed himself to believe. You had managed to see right through him, to the very center of his guilt and shame.
“I’ve changed” he tried to argue further, “I’m not the little boy you used to know.”
“Good” you said resolutely, and he lifted his head at that. “He never wanted to share his pumpkin pasties with me anyway.”
He let out a quiet, unexpected laugh and wiped at the tears brimming his eyes with his sleeve. You tugged him forward and looped your arms around his neck, and he return the hug, the tension leaving his body in your embrace as you nuzzled into his neck. It was the first time in months he felt calm as you rubbed circles in his back, your perfume covering him like a blanket.
“You can’t be seen with me” he said quietly. “I don’t want to walk away from you but I don’t know how to keep you safe, and you unequivocally cannot be seen with me.”
“We’ll figure something out” you whispered, your breath hot against his neck. “Just, no more pulling away from me. We find a way to see each other, every day, in the middle of the night if we have to, and we tell each other everything” you felt him tense at that as he pulled away to look at you.
“There’s so much you don’t know…” he started, his forearm writhing like it knew he was talking about the mark on his arm.
“And we have plenty of time to catch up” you said resolutely.
No, we don’t, he thought, until you strained on your tiptoes to press your lips against his gently.
After some time, you adjusted your lipstick, your hair and your dress, as Draco shot you a wink loving just how disheveled you looked from his lips and his wandering hands before pressing a kiss to your cheek and heading back to the ball. You followed a few minutes later and found Cormac, apologizing profusely to him, and letting him know straight out that you were only interested in a platonic relationship. He was clearly disappointed and slightly confused but took it in stride and you spent the rest of the night with your friends. Hermione shot you daggers across the table, perhaps the only person to have registered your swift exit and the boy that ran after you.
That night you told her everything in silent whispers outside of your common room. She was undeniably shocked, gasping and covering her mouth when you revealed that Draco had kissed you… multiple times. But she remained ever the steadfast friend, hugging you warmly, expressing her excitement for you but not without a look of cautious pity that said Merlin please make sure this girl doesn’t do anything more extremely stupid than she’s already done...
