Snakebite || (Peacekeeper) Coriolanus Snow x Reader ||
Outline: Coriolanus has his eye on the new nurse of the caserne and heâd do anything to have her.
Word count: 5â593
Warnings: Peacekeeper Coryo is a warning in itself, blood, virgin/first time sex (and itâs not gentle), breeding/marking, pain, possessive behavior, rough sex, explicit smut.
Authorâs note: If youâve read my other stories, you know my way of writing peacekeeper Coryo is pretty wild. If not, please take the warnings seriously before reading this one. This is prompt # 4. (sorry I didnât feel like writing another arranged marriage one for now but I hope this will be good enough.)
âGood to see you back on your feet !â Smiley said, as a greeting when Beanpole entered the cafeteria and joined them at their table.
âWe were worried, you hit your head pretty badly on the ground when you fainted today.â Bug added.
Coriolanus watched as his comrade took place in front of him, his tray overly filled with an array of different foods. He was still pale and had a bruise on his forehead from where he had hit the ground but despite all that, he seemed happy. So happy in fact, that Coriolanus wondered if they had drugged him at the infirmary to put him in such a state.
âIâm honestly starting to wonder if you donât do that on purpose each time we train outside, just so the new nurse gets to take care of you.â
âThereâs a new nurse ?â Coriolanus inquired, his curiosity piqued by something finally remotely interesting.
âI think sheâs an apprentice.â Beanpole corrected.
âDidnât you notice the amount of guys lining up in front of the infirmary door these days ? I heard everyone talk about how beautiful that girl is.â Smiley added.
Coriolanus thought about it for a moment but couldnât really recall noticing anything out of the ordinary. Not that he paid much attention to life in the barracks anyway. Or in District 12 in general. He missed the Capitol and his thoughts often drifted back to his old life rather than focusing on his current situation.
âShe really is beautiful.â Beanpole commented, to answer Smiley, with a stupid smile on his face. He may as well have heart shaped eyes from how obvious his crush on the girl in question was.
The other soldiers at the table laughed of their friendâs amorous daze and everyone soon focused their attention back on their meal, knowing that they needed to gain some strength for what the commander had planned for them on the next day.
Smiley and Bug stood up as soon as their trays were empty, but Coriolanus lingered a moment at the table, watching Beanpole stuff his face with green beans and spinach leaves. He wondered how someone who lacked basic knowledge of table etiquette could be from the Capitol too. People there, even poor, were more refined and elegant usually. Was District 12 slowly turning him into some kind of feral animal ? What if it was happening to Coriolanus too ? What if he didnât remember how to behave properly once heâll be back in the Capitol ? The thought terrified him, the one thing he had promised himself was that he refused to let District 12 change him.
âCrap, I forgot to ask for painkillers.â Beanpole managed to say, despite his still full mouth.
âDidnât you have a whole tablet of those in your trunk from the last time you hit your head against a tree ?â Coriolanus asked him, unable to conceal his sucpicious tone. He was wondering if, indeed, the young soldier was faking being of such fragile composure and in weak condition just to be granted extra trips to the nurseâs office. Not that he cared about his friendâs whereabouts, he just cared to know if Beanpole was this good of an actor, able to hurt himself just to get something he wanted.
âI used a few after I burned my fingers when I was on cooking duty and sold the rest on the black market.â He answered, totally and foolishly honest with Coriolanus. He attempted to stand up, his tray still half full but almost lost balance, barely able to catch himself.
âAre you alright ?â Coriolanus asked him, standing up to help steady him, even though he really didnât want to.
âYeah, itâs just the concussion.â Beanpole assured him. âI need to go back for some pills and then Iâll go to bed.â
âIâll walk you there.â He offered, not out of the goodness of his heart but by sheer curiosity for the apparently very pleasant new nurse. He wanted to judge for himself, even though he didnât expect her to be anything special, his comrades were so sex deprived that their standard barely reached the floor.
With a hand gripping his arm to help him walk steadily, the two peacekeepers made their way to the infirmary, Coriolanus almost dragging Beanpole behind him from how impatient he was to see what was really going on there.
At first glance, it seemed that Smiley told the truth, there were a line of more or less injured soldiers waiting for their turn behind the door, even skipping supper in hopes to be cared for here.
âIt might take a while.â Beanpole sighed, ready to join the back of the line.
The door opened and a peacekeeper walked out with his arm in a cast, his face visibly upset but not because of the pain he had endured but because he was escorted out by Flavia, the old nurse instead of the new one. She gestured to the next man in line to enter her office and he shamelessly sighed in disappointment.
Beanpole and Coriolanus barely had time to take a step in direction of the end of the line when the door in front of them opened again, revealing you, wearing a white blouse and your hair tied up in a messy updo.
âNext please !â You called, and a soldier excitedly sauntered in your direction. But your gaze landed on Coriolanus for an instant, before noticing Beanpole leaning onto him for support. âOh, is the concussion getting worse ?â
Coriolanus had to admit that you were very pretty indeed. Even with the worry that suddenly appeared on your face, you reminded him of the expensive dolls Tigris used to play dress up and hold tea parties for.
âI just need something for the pain.â Beanpole told you, trying to sound self assured but the sight of you made him smile stupidly again.
âHeâs barely able to stand.â Coriolanus said because, as time went by, he kept leaning his weight more and more on him and at this point, he was starting to worry that he might have to carry him back to their dorm.
âCome in.â You said, standing aside to let them in the infirmary. There were a few whispers of indignation and protest as they passed by the line of eager soldiers, the one who almost got in taking his place back at the front while glaring daggers at them.
Coriolanus helped Beanpole to the bed placed in the middle of a small room, of which you closed the door and searched a shelf for a file, before stepping to the counter to retrieve some medical tools. He watched you as you carefully shone a light into Beanpoleâs eyes, observing his pupils with attention before turning the small flashlight off and on in his face. You scribbled something in the file you had placed on the bed next to him, and exchanged the light for a stethoscope.
As you leaned forward slightly to reach his heart, your blouse hunched up, revealing some of the curves of your body to Coriolanus, who had a very privileged view of it all as he leaned against the wall behind you, his arms crossed over his chest.
He observed you carefully, starting to understand why all the young soldiers in the building were interested in you. There was something about you that was particularly enticing, maybe it was the alluring curves of your body, or maybe it was your pretty face and the way you made sure to be gentle as you examined your patients ? Whatever it was, he knew that he wouldnât be able to forget it. And, as you turned around to take one more tool from the counter, you glanced at him in a way that made his whole body buzz with electricity, he could tell that you were disturbed by him, by his presence and by his appearance, the same hint of curiosity in your eyes than the one he felt for you.
ââââ-
The sun was shining bright in the sky, yet it still did very little to ease the humidity that saturated the air. Coriolanus was assigned to patrol the borders of the District in the heat, while forced to wear his peacekeeper uniform and helmet, hand on his gun, always prepared. However, for once, it didnât seem so bad. He knew that if he had a heatstroke and fainted, he might have the chance to see you again and the idea oddly excited him.
Actually, he had been thinking about you for most of the night, reminiscing of the perfection of your body underneath your white blouse and how you had looked at him, even smiled at him once when you had cleared Beanpole to go back to his dorm. He had seen with his own eyes the impressive amount of soldiers lining up by the door with the hope to spend a few minutes in your company and, this morning during breakfast, he had heard a group of them talking about how each of them was planning to attempt to ask you out before the weekend. You truly were the talk of the caserne.
He didnât like that you had so many admirers, but what claim did he have on you ? He hadnât even spoke more than a few words to you⌠And yet, he felt extremely possessive of you. Like you were some kind of precious treasure that should only belong to him. And maybe he had good chances to make everyone else jealous if he convinced you to give yourself to him, judging by the way you had looked at him, all he had to do was askâŚ
And, just for the sake of not waking up with a very painful and frustrating erection again - after dreaming of you, naked on your exam table for him - he was determined to shoot his shot at you. He knew it only was a matter of time until youâd agree to go out with one of the idiots who probably pestered you about it on a daily basis, so he had to act quickly.
He wasnât sure of how he could fake a convincing heatstroke. And if he pretended to have fainted, he might stay there on his own all day until someone eventually found him and helped him. So he needed a better idea, something that wouldnât require him too much theatrics to be convincing. In fact, being in real pain would probably help to coerce you into taking care of him before everyone else.
His fingers danced on the handle of his gun as he tried to imagine how bad the pain could get if he shot himself in the foot or in the knee. It would make him a pretty useless peacekeeper which might grant him a few weeks of forced vacation to recover but he was worried of where he might be sent to next if he wasnât fit to be a soldier anymoreâŚ
He looked around him, seeing nothing but tall grass swaying in the wind and a rocky dirt road leading to a row of delabrated shacks that people from this District called homes. Not much to help with his plan.
Suddenly, something slowly undulating further down the road, moving the peebles on its way caught his attention. He approached carefully, realizing that it was a green snake trying to go back to the tall grass that it could use as shelter.
Coriolanus didnât know much about snakes. Actually, his knowledge in the matter was so limited that he never would be able to tell the difference between a venomous snake and an inoffensive one. However, it seemed to him that this one was very similar to the one that had bit another peacekeeperâs ankle when they were running laps around the barracks. As far as he knew, the guy was still alive so it might be his best chance to get to see you again.
He kneeled down on the road and tugged the sleeve of his shirt up, offering his entire arm for the nervous snake to bite into. But it wasnât aggressive enough to gratuitously attack a human being it seemed so Coriolanus picked the reptile up, feeling the cold scales under his fingertips before letting it fall on his bare arm. Nothing happened, except that the animal was now terrified and tried to slither away in the grass, at a surprisingly fast speed.
He barely managed to catch it before it vanished in the grass the same color as it was. He pulled it back to him and the reptileâs head snapped back to dig its sharp fangs inside the soldierâs exposed wrist.
Coriolanus grimaced, immediately pulling on the snake until he was able to pull his fangs out of his skin. He sent it flying across the road, not seeing where it landed as he focused his attention on his now aching wrist and the two dots of blood rapidly bubbling at the surface of his skin.
âShit.â He breathed, the pain in his arm sharply stinging. It was almost as if he could feel the venom, slowly invading the blood in his veins.
He stood up, applying pressure to the bite so that he wouldnât bleed too much despite the pain it provoked, and took off in direction of the casern. He was hoping that his plan would work and that he wouldnât end up being treated by Flavia instead of you but, above all things, he hoped that he wouldnât die from such a stupid action. You may be absolutely gorgeous but he wasnât ready to die for that. Not yet.
When he knocked on the infirmary door, blatantly ignoring the queue in front of it, his main concern became reality as Flavia opened. The old nurseâs gaze was strict and unwelcoming, the polar opposite of your warmth and beauty.
âAnother heatstroke ? Go wait in line for your turn.â She said, authoritatively.
âNo, I was bitten.â He told her, showing her the mark on his now inflamed skin. Even if he was hoping to see you, his bite still needed urgent medical attention and he wasnât sure he would survive if he had to wait in line before treating it.
Thankfully, as if on cue, your face appeared behind Flavia, eyes wide in surprise.
âI can take care of that, I just finished treating Armstrongâs heat rash.â You suggested and he could tell that you were hoping to see him as badly as he was hoping to see you.
âAlright. I was planning on taking a coffee break after this one, anyway.â Flavia nodded, before disappearing in her own office where a distressed soldier waited for her.
Coriolanus followed into the room where you had taken care of Beanpole the day before, but this time it was his turn to sit on the examination table. You repeated the same gestures as he had observed last time, fetching his file from the overflowing shelf before approaching to examinate his bite.
âDid you see what the snake that bit you looked like ?â You asked, as you ran your gloved fingers over the two deep holes in his skin. He noticed the worry that instantly showed on your face, making him wonder if you truly cared this much about your patients.
âIt was green, and pretty small.â He recalled, momentarily forgetting about the pain in his arm because of how close you were to him. He could smell your perfume and see the subtle variations of the specks of color in your eyes from here.
âMmh, I donât think itâs a venomous one but itâs probably going to hurt for a few days.â You announced, going back to the counter to take a small glass jar in your hands. Then, you carefully applied an herbal salve to his wound, instantly giving him some relief from the stinging pain that lingered there. âBut I only have one jar of this salve so youâll have to come here so I can apply some to the wound and change the bandages every day.â
âAlright.â He answered, struggling to contain his excitement at your words.
You gently wrapped his wrist up in an immaculately white bandage, soothing the last bit of pain he still felt from the bite. He saw it as the perfect opportunity to ask you what every soldier in this building was dying to.
âI was wondering if youâd like to get a drink with me sometime ?â He suggested, trying to sound as confident as he usually was but his heart was racing in his chest.
You lifted your eyes up to meet his, a smile tugging at the corner of your lips.
âThat sounds nice but unfortunately Iâm not allowed to do that. The only time I can be seen with peacekeepers without risking my job is here, in the infirmary.â You replied and he silently stared at you for a moment, trying to determine if it was an excuse or if you really would have accepted if your position allowed you to. âBut maybe you could spend more time here ? With me ?â
Your voice was hesitant and a lovely blush creeped to your cheeks as you said that, a risk you seemingly were ready to take for him.
âI could.â He smiled, charming as ever. âBut how would we pass the time ?â
âMaybe we could get to know each other ?â
His smile grew wider as the vivid images of last nightâs dream filled his mind again, visions of you naked for him, begging for his dick, that he was determined to make come true right now. He stood up, stepping closer to you, his hands already tugging at your blouse to get it to slide down your arms.
âIâd love to get to know you more⌠Intimately.â He whispered, his lips brushing over yours. And, since you didnât step back or push him away, he finally pressed his mouth to yours, in a chaste kiss that still managed to get his whole body buzzing with adrenaline.
Your professional blouse dropped to the floor and his arms closed around your waist, pulling you into him, where you could very obviously feel the hard bulge that had formed in his pants pressing against your stomach.
His lips moved to your neck, peppering it with wet kisses as he eagerly tried to find the hem of your shirt so that he could pull it off of you and see what was hidden underneath. You let him, even though your heart was about to implode inside of your chest.
He only stopped kissing you to be able to take a good look at your now bare chest in front of him, the sight worth a thousand snake bites.
âOh gosh.â You whimpered, as he roughly squeezed your boob in his hand, taking a bite at your lower lip to shut you up because you could say anything else.
He probably should have taken his time to enjoy every inch of you as he uncovered them one by one, giving attention to your very appetizing breast before attempting to remove your pants but he was never one to be patient, nor could he possibly renounce to something that he so ardently desired.
âWait, wait.â You pleaded against his mouth, your hands on his chest to gently push him away but even like this, he had trouble to let go of you.
âWhatâs wrong ?â
âItâs just that⌠I wasnât expecting this. I⌠I never did this before.â You stuttered, your eyes fixed to his with a bit of panic on your face.
âWell, itâs not that uncomfortable in here.â He remarked, briefly looking around before focusing his attention back to you. You were shorter than him and almost naked, chest bare and pants tugged down to your thighs. All he had to do was reach between your legs and heâd be able to catch a feel of your panties, see if you were already wet for him or if heâd have to work for it. As for him, he was already rock hard, his cock begging to be released out of his pants so that it could be shoved inside you. But he enjoyed being in his uniform in front of you, while you were about to be naked and vulnerable, at his entire mercyâŚ
âNo, I mean⌠I never did itâ Your words had the effect of a cold shower over his head, pulling him out of his hungry contemplation of your body and getting his full attention on you. For the second time, he stared at you while trying to decide if he believed you or not, the idea of you still being a virgin making no sense in his mind, how could you be ? You were far too gorgeous to not have had many opportunities to lose your virginity to someone in the past, even here, soldiers lined up at your door every day, desperate for your attention. Surely one of them would have convinced you to do it by now. Or at least, if you were so concerned about the rules, some coal miner from your district or a free spirited muscician would have done it.
âYou⌠How come ?â Was all he managed to say, the question burning his lips since it seemed entirely impossible to him that youâd still be so innocent and unaware of the pleasure you were missing out on.
âI donât know.â You shrugged. âI guess I wasnât interested enough in anyone to go this farâŚâ
Coriolanus couldnât help but smile at your answer. He felt insanely pleased imagining you refusing all these filthy miners and weak soldiers. You had standards. And you definitely were the only person that he had met in District 12 who was this reasonable.
âI can show you what itâs like if you want me to.â He suggested, trying to sound detached but the idea of being the one to take your virginity, the one to corrupt your innocent body, was making his cock ache in his pants.
You seemed hesitant, looking around at the office. He could understand that it probably wasnât how you had imagined your first time would happen, not here, not with him. Yet, when your pretty eyes landed on him again, you quietly nodded.
He had to be cool about, appear as if it was a regular thing for him, like he had done it before many times and would be doing it again with other girls, but his blood was boiling with excitement. When he had asked you out for a drink, he was expecting to have to work for it. He would have been proud of being seen with you at The Hob by all the recruits lining up for your attention, and he would have made sure to charm you into taking things further, probably in a dark alley outside where no one would have seen your perfect body except for him, but where surely some people would have heard how good he was making you feel.
Unable to wait any longer, he reached down to open up his pants and free his hard erection from his underwear, stroking it in his hand, enough to get it to develop to its full length but not too much, in case he might cum just from the way you were staring at it, with wide eyes and shock on your face.
âYouâre so big, Iâm not sure Iâll be able to do this.â You told him, worried.
âIâm sure youâll be able to take it.â He assured you, with a proud smile on his face. He always liked when women noticed how well endowed he was. Even better when it made them nervous. âSit down on the table.â
You obeyed, even though you still seemed very uncertain. He pulled your pants and panties down your legs, discarding them on the floor so that you really were completely naked now, beautiful and vulnerable.
âMaybe itâll work if you enter just the tip.â You suggested, and an amused chuckle left his lips.
âAlright.â He agreed, but only to reassure you. He had no intention of depriving the rest of his length from entering you so you would have to take it fully eventually.
âOkay.â You sighed in relief but your body remained tense as he approached and forced your legs open. He held his cock in his hand and gently stroked your exposed folds with the tip, groaning from the pleasant warmth and wetness that instantly coated his sensitive skin.
He knew he should have been a gentleman about this and made sure that you were ready for him but he simply couldnât wait. His desire for you was consuming him, he needed to have you and that instantly made him forget how cautious he should be to make sure the experience would be enjoyable for you too. So he lined himself up to your entrance and pushed forward.
âJust the tip.â You reminded him, your entrance stretching out for his wide dick, causing a sharp burn in your lower stomach.
âRight.â He said, with a smile, as he kept increasing the pressure that already felt unbearable inside you, very slowly but surely pressing his hips further against you.
âThatâs too much.â You cried out, tears welling in your eyes.
âYou can take it.â He said again, because one way or another, he was going to break that dam inside you and then, heâll fuck you until heâll be close enough to mark you as his with his cum.
âNo, I really canât.â You replied, your voice breaking. Coriolanus felt a pang of guilt in front of your distress, the grimace of pain on your face and the tears silently rolling down your cheeks werenât exactly what he had imagined when he had fantasized about taking you on this examination table.
âJust try to relax.â He instructed, momentarily putting his eagerness and need for relief aside to focus on you. He pressed his hand between your legs, his thumb finding your sensitive spot and gently massaging it to ease you into it, mixing the pain of his intrusion inside you with the pleasure of his caresses.
With two fingers, he opened up your folds so that he could see his big cock shoved halfway inside your tight and aching pussy. He could see it sliding further inside inch by inch, his way of teasing your clit seemingly helping your body accept him.
And then, suddenly and without any warning, your pussy engulfed him. You cried out once more, as something inside you was teared apart to allow him to finally be completely buried in your tight warmth. Your arms instantly closing around his neck for support. He almost came from this alone, the force with which you clenched around him from the pain you felt almost making him dizzy.
âWhatâs going on ?â You asked, panicking. âWhy did that hurt so bad ?â
âYour pussy just swallowed my cock on its own accord. Because despite the pain, you want me to fuck you, right ?â You want to feel me inside you, want me to show you what real pleasure is.â He explained, breathless, doing his best to calm down before his ejaculation might end this all too soon. âSay it, tell me what you want.â
âI want to feel youâŚâ You told him, wincing when he started pulling away.
âAnd ?â
âI want to have an orgasm. I want to be fucked until you have one too.â
âFuck.â He groaned, realizing that his plan to calm himself down by getting you to talk to him was failing miserably. He almost entirely pulled his cock out of you, only to shove it back inside slowly. As eager as he was for relief, he now wanted you to enjoy it too.
The more he gently slided back and forth inside you, the more your face eased back into a peaceful expression, the pain visibly fading as he tried his best to replace it with pleasure.
âLook how well youâre taking me now.â He told you, and you both looked down to his impressive cock, his length coated in your arousal and faint traces of blood as it went back and forth at a peacefully steady rythym. As tight as your entrance was, he still fitted inside you, managing to hit deep.
âAm I bleeding ?â
âYes, but thatâs normal, thatâs how we know youâre no longer a virgin.â He explained, even if you probably knew that already.
âIs it going to be like this every time ?â
âNo, now that I broke you in, youâre going to enjoy it when someone fucks you like this. Youâll be able to take it fast and rough with a little bit of practice.â
âIs this how you like it ? Fast and rough ?â You asked him, curious.
âMost people do.â
âWill you help me get used to it then ?â
âI already am, sweetheart.â He replied, his hands gripping your thighs to bring them up against his hips and give him better access to you. His movements amplified as his rocked his hips more rapidly now and you pressed your forehead against his, still fascinated by the way you could see his hard cock disappearing inside your folds and slamming deep inside you.
You closed your eyes, feeling something powerful building inside of you. A loud sound that carried the whole intensity of the pleasure that he was giving you escaped your lips. Your eyes widened and you covered your mouth with your hand, embarassed.
âDonât, I want to hear you.â He told you, moving your hand away and pinning your wrist to the table. âAnd I want everyone outside to hear you too. Let them know Iâm the one taking your virginity.â
âBut⌠Flavia.â You warned him, breathlessly.
âShe said she was going to take a break, sheâs probably at the cafeteria.â He replied, trying to reassure you but in reality, he had no idea of what the other nurse was up to. He knew that you were risking your career if you got caught by anyone in such a compromising position but it didnât really matter to him, not now, because he was pretty sure that if anyone bursted inside the room in hopes to interrupted him, heâd still keep fucking you until you truly belonged to him. Now that he had started, nobody would be able to stop him.
You didnât object. You couldnât. He could tell from the way you arched your back and rolled your eyes that there wasnât a single reasonable thought in your head anymore. You needed relief as badly as he needed it too and that was exactly what he intended to give you.
âOh⌠Itâs starting to feel really good.â You panted, your nails digging in his shoulder to steady yourself as his thrusts grew a bit more brutal.
âGood.â He groaned, making sure to slam himself as deeply as he could inside you. Damnit you felt too good, he wasnât going to be able to restrain himself much longer, the tightness of your virgin pussy around him and the knowledge that he was the first one to ever penetrate you so deeply was too much and relief instantly washed over him as warm cum spilled from his cock into you.
Fuck.
âOh !â You exclaimed in surprise, not because he had climaxed without giving you a warning but because his twitching cock unexpectedly pushed you over the edge too. You were shocked by the strength of the orgasm that hit you, imploding in your core like a firework and washing over your entire body, ensnaring him inside you in reaction.
You moaned again, the pressure around him caused by your own climax felt unbearable. He was trapped in you and the contractions of your body were so intense that he groaned and felt his cock shoot another load of his seed inside you.
A moment went by during which only the sound of your panting breaths filled the room. Then, you relaxed and he was able to pull himself out, both of you watching as his soaked length dropped out of you. He adjusted his uniform, making sure he was presentable again as you did the same, putting your white blouse back on as if nothing had happened.
âI⌠Iâll need to take care of that bite again tomorrow.â You told him, still a bit breathless as you walked him to the door.
âThen Iâll see you tomorrow.â He promised, with a grin.
Everyone stared at him as he walked out of the office. He smugly smiled at the line of soldiers and stood straighter, feeling extremely proud of himself. Not only had he managed to fuck the new nurse everyone was after but he had also taken your virginity and marked you as his. Of course, the soldiers waiting in line had no way of knowing that your blood was still on his cock and that his cum was probably dripping down in your panties by now but, if they were observant enough, they might notice how you were leaning against the door for support because your body was sore, or the trace of faint lipstick you had left on the collar of his peacekeeper uniform.

¡ ¡ âââââââ ¡đĽ¸Âˇ âââââââ ¡ ¡
The Capitol Zoo was unusually quiet that morning, as if the city itself was holding its breath in anticipation of the Games. The sky above was pale and washed-out, making the enclosures seem more like cages.
You walked slowly beside Coriolanus, your fingers brushing together before he finally gave in and laced his with yours. It was one of the few soft things about himâthis quiet affection when no one was watching.
Well, when he thought no one was watching, at least.
His eyes were locked on the girl in the District 12 enclosure, her bright dress muted by the grim bars and stale air. Lucy Gray stood with her chin tilted high, a performer through and through, even in captivity.
You both watched her for a few momentsâCoryo calculating, curious, captivated. You, quieter, unsure how to feel about the girl who smiled like she knew secrets.
âSheâs different,â you murmured, your eyes trialing her up and down.
âSheâs dangerous,â he replied. But there was something like admiration in his voice. Though you werenât threatened by it.
After all, she was the one behind the bars; you werenât.
You nodded once, then gently tugged his hand. âCome on. I want to see mine.â
Your tribute was a girl of only twelve, a slip of a thing with tangled hair and limbs too thin for her frame. She was tucked in a corner of the enclosure, knees pulled to her chest like she was trying to disappear.
You reached into the elegant satchel slung over your shoulder, the one your mother insisted matched your familyâs station.
âA Tolston never leaves the house looking anything less than exceptional.â Was what your mother had always said to you.
The Tolstons were old money. Old, influential, and perpetually seated at the Capitolâs highest tables, with your fatherâs name on every infrastructure committee and your mother curating the Capitolâs most exclusive fashion exhibits.
You werenât supposed to cry about the Games. You werenât supposed to feel things for tributes. But it was different now that you were in charge of taking care of one, to try and help your tribute to win.
So here you were, with wrapped honeyed bread, pear slices and soft cheese tucked between embroidered linen napkins. A large fancy âTâ stitched into it.
âHi,â you said gently. âThis is for you.â
She blinked up at you, wide-eyed, hesitant. Then slowly, carefully, she stood and crept over, taking the bundle like it might vanish if she moved too quickly. Her fingers brushed yours, feather-light, and you smiled.
She stared at the food, then at you. And then she said, in a small, wonder-filled voice
The little girl stood on the other side of the bars, hay in her hair while she stood in the dirt. The food you had passed was clutched tight in her small hands like she was afraid someone would take it back.
âAre you an angel?â she asked, voice breathy, eyes too big for her thin face.
You blinked, caught off guard. âWhat?â
She nodded seriously, stepping a little closer. âAn angel. My mama used to talk about them all the time. She said they were the most beautiful creatures in the world. That they come when youâre really scared. When youâre about to give up.â
Your heart twisted. âOh, sweetheartâŚâ you crouched lower so you were more at her level. âNo. Iâm not an angel. Iâm justâŚâ You hesitated, glancing at the food in her hands. âIâm someone who thinks you shouldnât be hungry. Just someone who is looking after you,â
She frowned thoughtfully, tilting her head like a curious bird. âYou look like one. Your voice is soft. Like my mamaâs was.â
Behind you, the soft buzz of a camera lens adjusted, zooming in. You could feel the eyes of the Capitol watchingâLucky Flickermanâs commentary somewhere off to the side, smooth as ever.
âYour name is Lina, right?â you asked gently.
âLina,â she said with a nod, âLina Grove,â
âLina Grove,â you repeated, giving her a small smile. âThatâs a beautiful name. Mineâsââ
âI know,â she interrupted, suddenly shy. âThey said your name on the screen when we got here. Youâre the pretty girl that walks with the white-haired boy.â
You choked on a surprised laugh. âThe white-haired boy?â
Coriolanus, whoâd remained behind you but close, let out a breath that sounded suspiciously like a scoff. His fingers tightened around yoursâpossessive, protective. âCharming,â he muttered under his breath.
Lina giggled.
âYouâre funny,â she said to you. âAnd you smell nice. Not like the rest of this place.â
You leaned in conspiratorially. âThatâs because I carry soap in my bag. Want me to sneak you some tomorrow?â
Her eyes lit up like youâd promised her a crown or the most sparkly jewels on earth.
âReally?â she whispered. âEven just to smell it?â
âPromise.â
She hugged the food to her chest like it was a lifeline. âDo angels make promises?â
You hesitated, just for a second. âOnly the good ones, I suppose,â
Luckyâs voice rang out from somewhere behind the camera. âAnd there you have it, folksâour mentors are shining this year! Capitol hearts everywhere are absolutely melting.â
You stood slowly, wiping your hands on your skirt. Lina backed up a step but kept her eyes on you, like she wasnât ready to let you go just yet.
âWill you come back tomorrow?â she asked hopefully.
You gave her a nod. âEvery day until the Games.â
She bit her lip. âEven after?â
Something in your chest fractured. And unfamiliar ache.
âIâll try,â you whispered. âIâll do everything I can, I promise,â
Coriolanus stepped closer, slipping his arm around your waist, his voice low beside your ear. âYouâre going to make it very hard for them to forget her.â
You didnât answer. Just watched as Lina sat back down with her food next to her district partner; an older boy maybe around 16. And, for the first time, looked like a child again.
And for a split moment you felt guilt.Â
   ¡ ¡ âââââââ ¡đĽ¸Âˇ âââââââ ¡ ¡
The gravel path shimmered faintly beneath your shoes as you and Coriolanus walked away from the enclosure. The buzz of cameras had finally died down, Lucky Flickermanâs voice trailing off into some other scripted sentiment.Â
The air felt heavier now, quieter. As if your lungs were remembering how to breathe again the further you got away from it all.
You glanced back onceâjust onceâtoward where Lina now slept in one part of the zooâs enclosure.
âSheâs so little,â you said, more to yourself than him. âTwelve. She still has baby teeth, Coryo.â
His hand tightened on yours. Just a bit. Just enough. Though you didnât see it, there was a small shift in the boy you loved so much.
âSheâs a tribute,â he said, like it was supposed to explain everything. So simple. How could it be that simple?
âI know,â you murmured. âItâs justââ You hesitated, chewing the inside of your cheek. âShe called me an angel.â
âSheâs scared. They all are.â His voice was soft but sure, like velvet hiding steel. âAnd you gave her exactly what she needed in that moment. Comfort. Thatâs not a bad thing, my love,â
You nodded slowly, but something still stirred beneath your ribs. Not outrageânothing so dramatic. Just a quiet ache. A tug of something soft and uncertain.
He stopped walking, gently pulling you to a halt beside him. You looked up at him, and the Capitol haze made his blond hair shine almost silver. Stunning. He was absolutely stunning.
âI know itâs hard,â he said, brushing your hair from your face with careful fingers. âBut we donât get to be soft right now. Not when everything we want is within reach.â
You blinked up at him, uncertain.
He leaned closer, voice dropping like it was a secret meant only for you.
âWeâre doing this for a reason. You and me. The mentor who make it out of this with winning tributesâour lives change. We move forward. Higher. We donât get stuck in the mud like the rest of them. The Games are there for a reason. To keep the districts in line. But now theyâre also the one place we get to prove ourselves.â
You swallowed, your chest tightening. Your eyes never leaving his, not once.
He slid his hand to your cheek. âYou want a future, donât you? Not just for her. For us.â
Your throat bobbed. âI do. Of course, I do, Coryo,â
He smiled thenâslow, warm, like sunlight cutting through clouds.
âThen we play the game, my angel,â he said softly. âAnd we win it.â
Something about the way he said we made your pulse flutter. As if your names were already written into the Capitolâs future. As if this moment, however sharp around the edges, was only the beginning.
Like everything was already promised, and all you needed to do was just grab it.
You exhaled slowly, letting the guilt drift back into the shadows. He was right. He always had a way of being right. And you were grateful he was there to bring you back to common sense.
âI hate when you talk like that,â you whispered, lips curving into a reluctant smile.
âWhy?â he teased.
âBecause you always make me believe it.â
His grin widened, all charm and quiet power. He kissed the back of your hand, elegant and practiced. âGood.â
The two of you then continued down the pathâtwo golden children of the Capitol, walking the road toward something both of you could only hope for; while Coryo was determined to grab.
A life he deserved, with plenty of money, power, and the Angel of the Captial at his side.

coriolanus snow x fem!reader
⤡ coriolanus is your mentor, and he fucks you before youâre sent to the games. 18+ mdni.
Coriolanus showed no mercy when fucking you. His pace was fast but thorough, lingering slightly when all of his length was inside for you to take. Your eyes brimmed with tears from pure euphoria. Coriolanus kept one hand around your breasts, playing with your nipple while the other massaged your clit. He whispered dirty things in your ear, loving how your body responded to it. Knowing that it was forbidden for the both of you to meet outside of mentoring hours, nonetheless doing this. The rush of possibly getting caught made him swell inside of you.
âI want you to cry out how much you love my cock.â
When you donât answer fast enough, he rolls your nipple harder in between his fingers, earning a loud whimper to release from your mouth.
âAghh, I fucking love it.â
You could hear the smirk in his voice when he said, âAlways such a good girl for me.â Coriolanus buried himself in your cunt, as your walls gripped around his dick. You felt like you were about to go insane; nothing mattered anymore but Coriolanus. How did he make it so easy to forget? Your head fell back onto his chest. âCoryo, oh please, don't stop.â you moaned. You were no longer caring if you got caught. Your legs began to tremble, making it challenging to keep your back arched over the desk. But this didn't falter the momentum.
âTake. Every. Last. Drop.â Coriolanus paused with each word, adding emphasis between thrusts. You follow his lead without hesitation. Throwing your ass back to meet him halfway, fucking him back. You could tell that Coriolanus was close, and you were not too far behind. Now with both hands, Coriolanus held onto your waist, jerking his dick in your pussy sloppier and more demanding than before.
You could feel yourself gushing on his cock. You've never gotten this wet. âShitâ I'm going⌠going to cumâ he gasped out. Coriolanus didn't pull out as he came inside you, grinding himself further as your cunt milked him of everything that he had to give. Your body shuddered, unable to slow the torrent of pleasure that overcame you. The two of you rode out the waves of your orgasm until your bodies became sore. Coriolanus drove himself crazy from the thought of possibly losing this, the power to stroke and fondle your body and hear your cries of ecstasy. But he would leave, just like he always did. Coriolanus left you with one last kiss and three words.
âDo not lose.â

cry, kill, die - coriolanus snow
peacekeeper!coryo finds out youâre commander hoffâs daughter
based on this ask
cw: 18+//piv sex//fingering//spitting//mentions of guns
âand what are you doing here?â a rich voice rings out.
you snap your head around, coming face to face with one of the many peacekeepers who serve under your father. this one is more handsome than the othersâicy blue eyes, and platinum blonde cropped hair. a smile quirks upon the corners of your lips.
âis that any of your business?â you inquire, knowing that you can test the patience of the peacekeepers, because who would dare to cross the commanderâs daughter?
âwhat, are you visiting your sweetheart, bunny?â he teases, though thereâs a rather stern look in his eyes.
you laugh in response, and attempt to continue on your wayâyouâve got a meeting with your father, after all. however, you are stopped by a hand coming down to circle around your wrist. his grip is tight, and disgruntled, you turn back to face him.
âcome on, you donât have to be so shy. thereâs lots of girls like you here. little bunnies who like to spread their favours far and wide.â he raises a brow suggestively. you can hardly believe he has the audacity.
you donât know whether you should tell him who you are, or if you should just leave it. heâs not loosened his grip on you. youâre not sure how to answer it either.
âare you accusing me of being a whore, private?â you feign a shocked look. he laughs, running his hand up your arm. his touch is cold, like ice, and you shiver a little.
âperhapsâŚâ a smirk plays at the corner of his lips. âmaybe itâs the fact that youâre looking at me like that, just begging to be fucked.â
âoh, really?â you rebutâheâs so forward, like most of them are, but youâd never think theyâd dare to actually touch you. not more than a few stray kisses at least.
ânow, are you going to be a good girl, and come back to my bunk?â he says, a tone of dominance in his voice. his fingers are striking his rifle, which catches your eye.
âperhapsâŚâ you purse your lips. you donât know what would happen if your father found you getting too friendly with one of his men, and you didnât exactly want to find out. but this one was so handsome⌠you liked how daring he was.
âperhaps? come now, bunny. thatâs not a very good answer, is it?â he steps closer to you, his gun pressing against your bare thighs.
you shake your head, glancing up at him with wide eyes. heâs so tall, dwarfing youâit makes him all the more commanding. he moves to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear.
âyouâre going to be a good girl for me, arenât you?â his breath is hot against your ear, and you feel a flush creeping up your cheeks.
âwell, only if you can please me, private,â you murmur, causing a flash of anger in his eyes. nobody dared to challenge his abilities in bed.
he would prove that to you, bend you over like the little whore you are, fuck you stupid until you couldnât even cry out your own name. he did that often enough to the other bunnies that hopped around the barracks, hoping for a good time. he was very well practised now, not like the silly little schoolboy that he was back in the capitol with his golden curls and academy rouge.
âif?â he laughs, snaking one hand around to grab your ass. ânot if, sweetheart. when.â
god, he was so full of himself.
deciding that he didnât want to waste anymore time fooling around, he pulls you by the arm and began to lead you along the dirt track to the barracks. you glance around, watching as the uniformed peacekeepers march their way to large trucks or to training. itâs an all-too familiar site, ever since your father was stationed to 12. youâd have to be careful with this one, though. he was too handsome to be transferred to another district if you were caught.
the barracks are empty when you enter, and he doesnât take his time with you, shoving you against the wall. he shoves one leg between your thighs, pinning you so you canât run free. you feel your heart leap with excitement.
he leans in and presses a kiss to your lipsâwhich you return eagerly. you slip your tongue inside his mouth, and move your hands to wrap around his neck. youâre desperate; you canât help but ache for him, core wet and slick with want.
he moves his lips from your own, and trails hot kisses down your neck, sucking and nipping the delicate skin as he does so. you gasp out, clutching at the nape of his neck, urging him to bite harder. youâll have to wear a scarf to hide these from your father.
âso sweet, bunny,â he mutters into your collarbones.
your hands roam to his ass, pulling him flush against you. you can feel his hard-on pressing against your thighs. you want him so bad, to take you and fuck you like the whore you areâcock filling out your tight cunt.
âplease,â you whine, wanton and needy. âneed you to fill me up.â
so direct, he thinks, a grin playing upon his lips. you look so pretty, pressed between his leg, hands grasping at his ass. what a fucking whore, begging him for it. heâs hardly even touched you and youâre already whining for him.
âsoon, bunny.â he peppers a few kisses against your jaw, hands gripping at your hips.
you let out a mewl, fed up that heâs teasing you so muchâheâs not even had the decency to stick his hand between your thighs. aggrieved, you grind down against his thigh, your soaked panties leaving a mark on his perfectly ironed uniform. that would be cause for some explaining to the laundress.
âoh no,â he puckers his lips. âdonât think you can get away with that⌠being so impatient.â
you scowl as he moves his thigh away, letting your legs fall to the ground. you stumble a little, trying to find your balance, but heâs quick to tug you along to one of the empty bunks. you wonder what your father would do, finding you in here with himâthe peacekeeper whoâs name you donât even knowâthe thought of being caught makes it all the more thrilling.
he shoves you against the side of the bed, and rucks up your skirt to reveal your soaking panties. he laughs, looking at your pathetic face, trembling lips and wide, dumbfound eyes.
âso fucking desperate,â he remarks, kneeling and placing his hands against your thighs. âjust another one of the little bunnies who likes to get fucked senseless.â
you shake your head, feeling his cold hands creep up your thighs. they latch around the waistband of your panties and tug them down.
âgod, look how wet you are,â he scoffs, tossing the panties aside.
he slides one finger inside your cunt, and you let out a groan, hands clenching against the woollen sheets. a little daring, he slips another finger in, arching it as far as it can go. it feels so good, and he thrusts them in and out of your wet hole at a teasingly slow pace. goddamn him.
âneed you,â you pant. âin me. pleaseâŚâ
you pout, hoping heâll take pity on you. he slides his fingers out, gripping your thighs hard. more bruises. youâll have a lot of explaining to do to your father.
âdoes bunny want me to fill up her tight little cunt?â he asks, fingers pinching at your skin.
âyes please,â you sigh, clutching at his shirt.
you attempt to pull him up, coax him to you. you wonder when heâll figure it out⌠that heâs seen you before, standing beside your father in a pale pink dress, watching as the peacekeepers eye you. commander hoffâs daughter is supposed to be off limits. heâd shoot any of them on site if he caught them so much as ogle your pretty form making its way through the barracks.
he hangs over you now, elbows propping himself up as he grinds his crotch into the bed. your hands roam down to his waistband, and you stick your hand inside, palming his hard cock. he lets out a heavy groan, and you feel the precum coating his cock.
âgonna fuck you so good,â he grunts, hands going to unbutton his pants.
his cock is throbbing when you take it in your hand, guiding it to your entrance. heâs not the first youâve been withânot that your father knows thatâbut heâs certainly the biggest. you sigh pleasantly as he slides himself in, not taking any time to ease into your cunt.
he begins to thrust, feeling your tight walls stretch around him, taking him all in. you reach one hand down to rub at your clit, which is aching with need. he slaps your hand away, seeing you touching yourselfâitâs an insult to his abilitiesâand uses his thumb to rub soft circles on the sensitive nub.
âharder,â you plead, grabbing his ass and pushing him in; feeling the tip of his cock poking against your cervix.
âwhat a dirty fuckinâ slut, huh?â he coos, upping his pace. âbegging me to fuck you like a little whore.â
you let out a groan as you feel him begin to pound you, each thrust increasing the pace. his fingers still rub deftly at your clit, which throbs with pleasure. you do have to admit; he is so good.
âmhmâŚâ you sigh, head lolling back as he fucks you. âmy father will kill you if he finds out.â
you decide to tell himâitâs too late for him to back out now, what, buried deep inside your cunt. heâs too struck by pleasure to think straight, at first, and so his answer is to merely laugh.
âyeah? whoâs he? donât think he can tell a peacekeeper what to do,â he grunts, cock pulsing with pleasure. god, you feel so good.
âohâŚâ a slight giggle escapes your lips, and you run your hand over his lower back. âyou donât know?â
he rears his head up, perplexed, brows furrowed. heâs still rutting into you, and you can see the shiny sweat beading on his forehead, his blue eyes glistening with confusion.
âhm, bunny?â he inquires.
âwellâŚâ an impish grin scampers across your lips. you trace circles in his skin. âyou were wondering why i was hereâŚâ
he comes to a halt, causing you to frown. the expression on his face is one of pained loss of pleasureâhaving to cease his thrusts to clear his mindâand also slight fear, not that heâd never admit it. no, you couldnât be. but he can see it, the eyes, the curve of your nose. youâre hoffâs daughter. of course. the one with the overly-friendly smile, who liked to wear her skirts too short as she waltzed past the peacekeepers.
âoh bunny,â he clucks his tongue in a scolding manner. âwhat would your father do if he knew you were begging for my cock like a little whore?â
your cheeks burn red, and he begins to thrust again. somehow, this has made him want you all the more. to have him see you being ruined by one of his own menâthat would remind him that private snow was capitol. not just some pathetic district runt like the rest of the peacekeepers.
he pulls your legs up around his shoulders, adjusting the angle of his cock, and fucks into you like a common whore. you gasp at the feeling of his cock hitting the right spotâand you feel waves of pleasure coursing through your body, cunt throbbing and clenching around his big cock.
âsuch a fucking slut, huh?â he groans, feeling himself close to his peak. âtaking peacekeeper cock while your daddy sits in his office just out there.â
you let out a moan, clutching at his shoulders while he pounds you. you look like a such a whore, tits bouncing, cunt so fucking wet for him. how fucking pathetic. who wouldâve thought commander hoffâs daughter took cock so well?
âmhm!â you gasp, slickness gushing from your cunt. nobodyâs ever made you finish just by using their cock.
âso good,â he grunts, thrusts growing haggard as he nears his end.
your body is humming with adrenaline, the waves of your orgasm still coursing through your veins. he moves one hand up to your cheek, coaxing your mouth open. you oblige, and as he gives a fucked-out thrust into your cunt, spits into you mouth.
âswallow,â he manages to murmur out as he spills into you.
your cunt is filled with hot, sticky spurts of cum as he finishes, and you obediently swallow his spit. it makes your cunt throb with excess desire, and you have to bite your lip to stop another moan from spilling out.
âfuck⌠so good,â he groans as he slips out of you, his hot load dripping down your thighs.
he tucks himself back into his trousers, and goes to sit down beside you. youâre splayed out, cunt exposed and dripping from his load. you look so pretty, completely fucked dumb, eyes wide with the excess of your want.
âwhatâs your father going to say about this?â he laughs, rubbing his hand against your aching cunt. your body tenses up from the overstimulation.
âheâd probably have you shot,â you muster out, propping yourself up on your elbows.
he laughs, a rich sound escaping his mouth. you reach to grab your panties, which are bundled up on the sheets, still wet. he reaches out and stops your hand with his own, taking the panties from you. you pout, and try to reach for them back.
âoh, i donât think so,â he remarks cruelly, tucking them in his back pocket. âsomething to remember you by.â
he presses a kiss against your cheekâyou canât help but blush even though your heart pounds at the thought of having to walk back to your house with no underwear.
âpleaseâŚâ you plead, bottom lip trembling. âi canât walk home like this⌠my skirtâŚâ
he shakes his head and chuckles, looking at you like youâre his. you shove your skirt down, ashamed to be laying like this.
âi donât think whores get much of a say in things,â he cajoles, eyes glistening a little manically.
he delights in the thought of you being humiliated, having to pretend like you didnât just get your brains fucked out by a peacekeeper. he wonders what would happen if the wind decided to blow the wrong wayâŚ
âiâll tell my father about this!â you threaten, but he only laughs again and throws his hands up in defence.
âand let him know that you were so desperate that you let a peacekeeper fuck you?â he scoffs. âi donât think so, bunny.â
you feel your heart splintering a littleâbut two could play at that game, you supposed. you werenât going to let him snap you up in his net.
âyou can come get them back next time,â he grins.
your brows quirk up. you hadnât intended on this happening again⌠but he was so handsome. and his cock was⌠well, huge. you did have to admit he was good. very good.
ânext time?â your mouth rounds into a look of surprise.
âoh yes, next time.â

God you were so pretty, was all he could think. Even from the back you were utterly beautiful. His cock continued thrusting into your slick walls. Heâd slide his dick out till it was just his tip notched inside your entrance before pounding back in. It was a hypnotizing rhythm that had you drooling into the pillow beneath you.
The other pillow held your hips up, keeping you presented nicely for him. His hand crept around your hip to draw shapes on your clit. Seeing the way your folds stretched around him made his dick twitch inside your cunt. âFuuuck. Gonna fill you with up yeah? Have you carry my babies? Dâbe such a good mom.â He choked out without a second thought.
He, of course, was the only one not giving it a second thought. You always gave it a second thought though. Craning your neck, you shot an almost worried look over your shoulder. âIâm on birth controlâŚand weâre not ready to be parents.â
If he hadnât been balls deep in you he might have laughed. His hips snapped before slowing down in shock. âNo itâs- itâs just dirty talk, babe. A saying?â You blinked as the cogs in your brain turned, a smile brightening your features once you realized. âOh! Okay.â
Seeing you move on so swiftly had him shaking his head and beginning to thrust into you again. His teeth sunk into his lower lip as he focused on how you clenched around his dick, fucking through his confusion. It wouldnât be the first nor last time it happened.

Clementine Auburn may have inherited her motherâs striking looks, but make no mistakeâsheâs her daddyâs little twin through and through.
______________
Of age she carries her mommaâs beauty with effortless grace, turning heads wherever she goes, but underneath that angelic exterior lies a true menace to District 12 society. A whirlwind of charm, wit, and just the right amount of chaos, Clementine is Coriolanusâs spitting imageâin attitude, ambition, and that signature stubborn streak. Itâs no wonder the two are constantly butting heads; heâs basically arguing with a younger, sassier version of himself. They clash like thunder and lightning, but deep down, he knows sheâs his pride and joy⌠even if she drives him absolutely mad đŞśđ
yeah no DNA test needed, thats her daddy.

--
Coriolanus Snow.
A name, much less a person, you had never thought would constantly be on your mind. He wasnât before. In fact, most days you wouldnât glance his way twice, unless you had to. He was just another face at the Academy, a friend of your brother, Sejanus. Which, by association, made him a friend of yours. Or, at the very least, acquaintances.
It wasnât that you didnât like him, or that he was unbearable to have a conversation with. Actually, his presence was nice, on the occasions that you were around him for longer than a few minutes at a time. He was polite, and always seemed genuinely interested in what you had to say, even if heâd heard it all before from Sejanus.
You started to see more of Coriolanus when they became mentors for the tributes in the districts. You werenât eligible to participate, and it wasnât due to grades, but because youâre a year younger than your brother. This didnât stop him from pulling you to see the tributes in the zoo when the opportunity first struck.
Ma had warned you two to be careful, after what she had seen happen with Coriolanus getting stuck inside. Still, she happily made the sandwiches when Sejanus requested it, and even made extra after he told her what his plan was. He wanted to give them to the tributes inside of the cage, he had a feeling they were hungry, and he was right.
Sejanus couldnât get them to approach the bars, no matter what he said, or how hard he tried. A few times, youâd tried yourself, attention focused on one person in particular, who was on the far side of the cage, refusing to look your guysâ way.Â
Your fingers curled around the cold steel, leaning into it. âMarcus.â You breathed, a smile on your face. âPlease, we want to help.â His eyes found you, standing above where Sejanus was crouched. âItâs just a sandwich.â
He didnât budge, of course. Sejanus took a glance behind the two of you, getting to his feet. The sandwich lowering in one hand, as he waved someone over with the other. When you looked, you found Coriolanus coming through the crowd, blonde curls bouncing with each step.Â
When he caught your eye, he gave you a smile. âTrouble?â
âNone of them trust us. And why should they?â Sejanus asked.
âUs?â Coriolanus echoed.
âIâve been trying, too. But not as broadly.â You shook your head.
A girl had marched up next to the three of you to point to a sign on a pillar next to the enclosure. âIt says, âPlease donât feed the animals.ââÂ
âTheyâre not animals, though,â Sejanus told her. âTheyâre kids, like you and me.â
âTheyâre not like me! Theyâre district. Thatâs why they belong in a cage!â She shouted.
Sejanus sighed. âOnce again, like me.â He then looked at Coriolanus. âCoriolanus, do you think you could get your tribute to come over? If she does, the others might. They have to be starving.â
He hesitated, looking through the bars to find his tribute. He took a moment to think, debate whether or not he should. All he needed was a little push to convince him, so you leaned forward, over Sejanus, to place a hand on his arm.
âPlease?â The word was sweet, more than you had intended it to be. His eyes moved to you, instead. âDo you have any ideas?â
He took in a breath, âI canât just treat her like itâs feeding time at the zoo,â He was shaking his head. âNot mine. But I could offer her dinner. Maybe theyâll join after that.â
Sejanus nodded, you removed your hand, giving him a smile. Your brother opened up the backpack for Coriolanus to see the amount of sandwiches and fresh plums that were inside, waiting. âTake whatever. Ma made extra. Please.â
Coriolanus took two sandwiches and two plums, and then moved away to a more private spot, where he sat down on a flat rock. His tribute went up to him to join, and they spoke briefly. She took a bite out of one of the sandwiches, a smile appearing on her face.Â
The other tributes had moved forward, seemingly gauging her reaction to make sure that it was good. When she swallowed her bite, she turned her head to them. âYou all should get one. Theyâre real good!â She waved her district friend forward. âGo on, Jessup!â
Jessup took his time approaching the fence, black hair sticking to his forehead from the heat. Sejanus wordlessly handed him a sandwich, and a healthy plum. As soon as Jessup had returned to where heâd been before, the other tributes rushed forward.
You stole a sandwich and a plum, holding them to your chest, eyes on Marcus, as he refused to come forward. A dozen hands stuck themselves through the bars, and your brother struggled to fill them quickly. Within the minute, the food was gone, everyone had gotten one.Â
Except for Marcus.Â
He had his arms crossed over his chest, face hard. Sejanus pulled a sandwich out of the very bottom of the bag, unaware that the food you were holding was for Marcus, and not for yourself.
âMarcus, this is for you. Take it. Please.â Sejanus said, leaning out as far as he could. âPlease, Marcus.â He pleaded. âYou must be starving.â
You watched with a sinking heart as Marcus looked Sejanus up and down, and then turned his back to the both of you. One of the other, smaller, boy tributes took the opportunity and ran forward to claim the sandwich, snatching it from Sejanusâs hand.Â
The news crew showed up after that, pushing a camera into his face. Your brother wasnât having it, slinging the empty backpack over his shoulder. He held his elbow out for you, so he could escort you through the crowd better.
âIâm going to talk to Marcus.â You told him. âI donât want him to go hungry.â
âMa will be upset that I left you here.â Sejanus said, âShe told me to watch you.â
âYou wouldnât be leaving me. I have Coryo.â You motioned to Coriolanus, who was in his own world with his tribute. You cleared your throat, getting his attention. âSejanus is going to leave, you wouldnât mind keeping an eye on me, would you?â
Coriolanus nodded, smiling, âOf course not, whyâd you even ask?â
Sejanus was satisfied, lowering his elbow. âIâll see you at home.â
âTell Ma I wonât be too late.â You said, watching him weave through the crowd to leave.
And then you turned back to the cage, eyes on Marcus in the corner. He was stiff, unmoving in the corner for another few long minutes. Which was probably done to ensure that you two had left.Â
When he decided that enough time had passed, he took his time turning around. The first place he looked was in your direction to confirm the coast was clear.
You were certain he was going to shut you out at the sight of you, but he didnât. He stayed where he was, and so did you. You waited for him to relax, even if it was a little bit, before you bothered to hold up the sandwich and the plum youâd been holding to your chest. The food that youâd been protecting for him.
His face twisted, you stared, drawing in a breath. âMa made it. I donât want you to go hungry, Marcus.â
Marcus deliberated, eyes wandering from yours, and then heâd pushed himself off of the wall. You crouched, so that he wouldnât have to come up the dry moat if he didnât want to. He took his time, drawing attention to himself.Â
If he had any respect from the other tributes for abstaining, it had crumbled like his resolve.Â
Marcus stopped at the bottom of the moat, you held out the sandwich and the plum for him. âWeâre so sorry youâre here, Marcus. We never couldâve imagined itâd come to this.â He didnât move, watching you.Â
And then all of a sudden he did.
His hands closed around your wrists, yanking you forward. You barely turned your head in time to keep your nose from slamming into the bars, eyes wide, trying to pull back. He had a tight grip on you, squeezing hard enough for you to feel the blood beginning to build in your fingers.
âYou arenât.â He said, voice hard.
âMarcusâŚâ You wiggled, âMarcus, youâre hurting me.â
He tried to pull you in closer, forcing you to press into the bars of the enclosure. âThis is what you get, (Y/n). This is what happens when you treat people like animals.â
âBut this isnât my fault!â You shouted, panic settling in. âLet go of me!â
âYouâre the one that moved to the Capitol. You didnât stay in District Two. Youâre just as bad as they are.â
âLet go!â You cried, tears in your eyes.
âGet off of her.â A hard voice demanded, a hand shot in front of you to make a grab at Marcus.
Coriolanus was angry, an emotion that you hadnât seen him wear before. He was always so cool and collected, there wasnât a lot that could get him riled up. If it did, he would excuse himself, to keep from tarnishing his perfect reputation.
A stern crease was between his eyebrows as he got his hand around one of Marcusâs forearms, bringing him forward with one solid pull.Â
âI said, get off of her.â His voice was low.
âOr what?â Marcus asked.
âOr Iâll make you wish you never met her.âÂ
Marcus listened, never taking his eyes off of Coriolanus, as if he could jump through the narrow bars to strangle him. His hands released, and you let go of the sandwich and the plum in the process. You caught yourself on the bars before you could fall completely, standing up swiftly, brushing dust off your skirt.
Coriolanus reached for you, and you held onto the red sleeve of his Academy uniform, breathing heavily. You shook your head at Marcus, heart beating in your chest. âJust because weâre here now, doesnât mean weâve changed, unlike you.â
The evening was ruined, but the zoo was closing anyway. Coriolanus let you hang onto his elbow, as he began to lead you out while blocking the cameras from bombarding you. You didnât make it very far before you saw Sejanus, sitting behind a boulder. And even though you couldâve let go of Coriolanus, you didnât.
You were upset, for multiple reasons. Your intentions were completely different from what Marcus assumed. You werenât there to save face with District Two, you were there to help him. And even worse, you were mad at Sejanus for dragging you along in the first place.
It was the last time you went to see Marcus with Sejanus, but it was the first time Coriolanus kept you up at night. It was the way he had stepped in, how he reached for you first, instead of waiting to see if you wanted his comfort. It stuck out in your mind, and then it didnât.
When your mom saw the bruises on your wrists the following day, she told you that you were done. Sejanus would have to do the mentoring on his own. This doesnât mean that you heard about it any less. You probably heard about it more, getting every detail without ever having to ask, because Sejanus offered it up.
You didnât see Coriolanus for a few days after that, despite the fact that you wanted to thank him. You were too invested in schoolwork, while also trying to come up with ideas for Sejanus to use with Marcus, because he wanted to make things right between them.
When you did see him next, it was the day of Arachne Craneâs funeral. The whole school had gathered on the front steps of the Academy. The groups were divided neatly and alphabetically by class, but Coriolanus wasnât. He was in the front row, sitting alongside important individuals, namely President Ravenstill.
You had no idea why, until the Academy clock struck nine, and the entire crowd fell silent. Thatâs when he rose from his seat and walked to the podium, where he sang the anthem. The president then gave a speech about Arachne, how her life didnât deserve to be taken when all the Capitol is doing is striving for peace.
You bit your tongue, hard. If they wanted peace, they should treat those in the districts together. Youâd heard about what happened to Arachne, what she did to her tribute. She was teasing a starving girl, and while you donât agree that taking a life is the right form of payback, you canât blame the tribute.
The funeral procession came around the corner, following the drumming. At first, it was all peacekeepers from the honor guard. The crane was next, attached to a flatbed. And dangling from the hook, with bullets in her dead body, was the district girl. Below, shackled to the truck bed, were the twenty-three other tributes, filthy with their heads down.
You were sick, struggling to breathe, as you imagined the amount of pain they had to be in. As you pictured yourself hanging from that hook, or chained to a truck that you couldnât even stand on. The rest of the funeral was a blur, as the truck disappeared.
Still, you went to find Coriolanus, ignoring your own brother to do so. He was standing near the podium, talking to Dean Highbottom, but as soon as he left, you slid in.
âYou sounded amazing.â You said, Coriolanus turned to you with raised eyebrows. When he saw your face, he gave you a smile. âI wish I sounded half as good.â
âIâm sure you do.â He said, hand on your shoulder. âI havenât seen you in a couple of days, is everything okay?â
âMa told me Iâm not allowed to help anymore, she saw the bruises.â You said, âIâm fine, though.â
âHe left bruises?â That crease between his eyebrows returned.
âHe was mad. I would be too.â You muttered. âThey got dumped into a zoo, literally. You were there. How did it feel?â
His face contorted, âWrong, but that doesnât excuse his behavior.â
âYouâre right.â You sighed. âI never got to properly thank you for stepping in. I think he wouldâve let go eventually, butââ
âYou donât need to thank me, (Y/n).â He interrupted, watching as you reached into your backpack.
âI do, actually.â You pulled out a neat plate of bread pudding that had been sitting flat on the bottom of your bag. When you looked up, you saw his parted lips. âYou canât ask how I know, but I heard that you really like bread pudding. I made enough for you and Tigris, or even if you wanted to share it with Lucy Gray.â
âYou bake.â He said.
âOn occasion. If you have any requests, Iâll be more than happy to make it for you.â You nodded.
He gave you a smile. âThank you, (Y/n), but I donât think I could ever ask that of you.â
âPlease, donât hesitate.â You told him. âIâll see you around.â
Youâd expected to see Coriolanus in the hallways next in passing, not the hospital later that evening. The mentors had gone to the arena with the tributes to do televised interviews, when rebels set off several bombs, killing multiple people. Both of the tributes from Six were killed, as well as the Ring twinsâDiana and Apollo. While three mentors had been injured, that being Coriolanus, Androcles Anderson and Gauis Breen. The latter one lost both of his legs.
And of course, with the exit being wide open, four tributes went running for it. The tributes from One were dead before they stepped foot out the door, while the girl from Two had made it to the river. She made it over the wall, but died in the fall. While Marcus⌠he disappeared completely.
Sejanus was, thankfully, uninjured. The Academy canceled classes, so he came straight home. He didnât really speak until the following day, when he suggested for the two of you to visit Coryo in the hospital. Youâd agreed, because leaving your brother alone while he was that upset didnât seem right.
Ma made more meat loaf sandwiches, because Coriolanus seemed to like them so much. When you visited him, he sat up in the hospital bed. Sejanus set Coryoâs book bag down on a table, while you took a seat. Together, the three of you enjoyed the sandwiches, while talking about anything but Marcus.
When you were done, you wished for him to get well soon. It would be the second time that heâd stay on your mind, this time lasting longer. You didnât like that he was hurt, especially when he didnât deserve to be. The war was between the districts and the government, not the people in-between that were being forced to help.
It didnât seem to bother Coriolanus, though. He kept fighting for his tribute, and you tried to pry him from your mind. It was easier to do when the Games did finally come around, especially that first day. When the cameras started with a wide shot of the arena as a whole, and the fourteen tributes that stood in a circle around the center.
Then the camera changed, as it slowly zoomed in on twin steel poles, twenty feet high with a crossbeam. And at the center, Marcus hung from shackles at his wrists, beaten bloody, face swollen. When he moved his lips, it showed his broken teeth.
You raised to your feet the same time that Sejanus had. He was standing a few feet in front of you, next to Coriolanus, who was watching him carefully. The only reason why you were allowed to be in the hall was because you were there to support your brother, and you quickly understood why.
Sejanus rushed forward, grabbed an empty chair, and hurled it at the screen, where Marcusâs mangled face was. âMonsters!â He screamed. âYouâre all monsters here!â
You watched in silence as he left the hall, leaving you there. No one had moved after him, and you were too stunned for a minute to chase after him. Coriolanus turned in his chair, where he saw you grabbing at your wrists, where the bruises were just healing.
â(Y/n)--â He was worried, shaking his head.
âHeâs right.â You breathed, backing up toward the door. âWhat have we done?â
âMiss Plinth,â A hand had grabbed you.
You jerked away, eyes wild, lips parted. It was Dean Highbottom, and there was a warning on his face, telling you not to cause a scene. You didnât want to be like your brother. Except, it was too late for him to step in, because the two of you were already too similar. Born from the same tree branch that split into two.
âGet away from me.â The words were harsh, âDonât touch me.â
He let you go, as you followed after Sejanus. He wasnât too far, just down the hall, where he was heaving heavy breaths, hands in fists at his sides. The look he gave you couldâve killed anyone, but his expression softened when he realized it was you.
You hugged him, standing there for what felt like forever. Marcus ended up dying later that afternoon by another tribute, presumably a mercy killing. Sejanus encouraged you to go home, telling you that heâd be right behind you in a few hours. You listened, told Ma that Sejanus was upset and that was it.
Well, thatâs what you thought, at least. He didnât come home that night, and as it got later, Ma was getting more worried. She asked you if you had any ideas where he couldâve gone, and you told her no. All you could do was suggest Coriolanus, because they were close, and Coryo seemed to care.
Ma took you to the Snow penthouse, where Tigris opened the door, dressed in a nice lavender dress. With Ma in hysterics, you explained the situation, and she invited you inside to sit in the living room. Tigris made tea, while her grandmother took a seat in a chair nearby. On the television was the arena, but it was too dark to see anything, even with the moonlight.
Tigris poured jasmine tea into cups on the table, while your mom tried to clean herself up with the handkerchief. âYouâre such nice people. Iâm so sorry to have dropped in on you like this.â
âAny friend of Coriolanus is a friend of us all.â His grandmother said. âPlinch, did you say?â
Your eyebrows twitched, Ma didnât skip a beat. âPlinth. Itâs Plinth.â
âYou know, Grandmâam, she sent the lovely casserole when Coriolanus was injured.â Tigris said to remind her.
âIâm sorry. Itâs too late.â Ma sniffed.
âPlease donât apologize. You did exactly the right thing.â Tigris patted her shoulder, looking up. Her eyebrows raised suddenly. âOh, hereâs my cousin now! Perhaps he knows something.â
You turned, finding Coriolanus gently shutting the door behind him. He gave you a gentle smile, but when you didnât reciprocate, it dropped slightly. âMrs. Plinth, (Y/n), what an unexpected pleasure. Is everything all right?â He asked, coming closer.
âOh, Coriolanus. It isnât. Not at all. Sejanus hasnât come home. (Y/n) said he left the Academy this morning, and I havenât seen him since. Iâm so worried." She said. âWhere can he be? I know Marcus being like that hit himââ She placed a hand on your knee, hand squeezing. âThem hard. Do you know? Do you know where he could be?â
âHe was upset, maâam. BUt I donât know that itâs any cause for worry. He probably just needed to blow off some steam. Took a long walk or something. Iâd do the same thing myself.â He tried to ease her.
âBut itâs so late. It isnât like him to up and disappear, not without letting his ma know.â
âIs there anywhere you can think of he might go? Or somebody he might visit?â Tigris asked.
Ma shook her head. âNo. No. Your cousinâs his only friend.â
Coriolanus looked at you, where you hand your palms on your lap. âYou know, if heâd wanted company, I think heâd have come to me first. You can see how he might have needed some time alone to⌠to make sense of all this. Iâm sure heâs all right. Otherwise youâd have heard of it.â
âDid you check with the Peacekeepers?â Tigris asked.
Ma nodded. âNo sign of him.â
âYou see?â Coriolanus asked. âThereâs been no trouble. Maybe heâs even home by now.â
âPerhaps you should go and check.â Their grandmother suggested.
Tigris gave her a look. âOr you could just call.â
Ma shook her head. âNo. Your grandmaâs right. Home is the place we should be. And I should let you all get to bed.â
âCoriolanus will walk you.â Tigris said.
âOf course.â Coriolanus nodded, you got to your feet.
âMy carâs waiting down the block.â Ma told them, getting up as well. She smoothed down her hair. âThank you. Youâve all been so kind. Thank you.â She reached back to grab her handbag, you looked away from Coriolanus to the television, where you stopped.
There, on the screen, a shadowy figure came out the barricade. The moonlight catering the side of his face, the features eerily familiar. He was carrying something in his hands, as he crossed the arena to Marcusâs corpse, where he stopped. Above laid a sleeping girl, the tribute that had killed your friend to keep him from suffering.Â
âShall I walk you to your car?â Coriolanus asked, Ma had begun toward him. âI bet youâll find Sejanus in bed.â
âNo.â The word was a whisper out of your mouth. âNo, Coryo.â Heâd turned his attention to you, mouth opening to speak, when you did it first. âSejanus is in there.â
Coriolanus came closer, passing Ma. You reached out to grab him, hand on his shoulder. Sejanus knelt down, and tried his best to arrange Marcus in an appropriate manner. He rolled Marcus on his back, straightened his legs and tried to fold his arms over his chest. And then he stood up and held his hand out over Marcusâs body.
You couldnât help the tears that sprung into your eyes.
âThatâs your son in there? Whatâs he doing?â Asked their grandmother.
âHeâs putting bread crumbs on the body.â You murmured, lips trembling. âSo Marcus has food on his journey.â
âHis journey where? Heâs dead!â
âBack to wherever he came from.â Ma told them. âItâs what we do, back home. When someone dies.â
You swallowed thickly, a tear running down your face. A handkerchief materialized out of Coriolanusâs pocket, he passed it to you. âThank you, Coryo.â
The phone rang a moment later. âIs the whole city up?â Their grandmother sighed.
âExcuse me.â Coriolanus said, holding your gaze for a moment, as he walked away. He turned his body away to speak.
You wiped your eyes with the handkerchief, and then folded it neatly to place back on the coffee table. You needed to leave, to go to Sejanus. Why hadnât he mentioned this to you? Was it because he knew it was a stupid idea?
When Coriolanus came away from the phone, he sighed. âThat was the Head Gamemaker. Sheâd like you to meet her at the arena to collect Sejanus, and Iâm to accompany the both of you.â
âIs he in trouble?â Ma asked, eyes wide. âWith the Capitol?â
âOh, no. Theyâre just concerned with his well-being. Shouldnât be long, but donât wait up.â He told his family.Â
The three of you shuffled out of the apartment after that, going down the elevator and through the lobby. Your parentsâ car rolled up silently, and the three of you got inside, with Coriolanus requesting the arena. The Avox nodded, nad began to drive down the streets in a hurry.
âFirst time we saw the Capitol, it was night, like this.â Ma spoke quietly.
âOh, yes?â Coriolanus asked, looking at you.
âSejanus sat right where you are, saying, âItâll be all right, Ma. Itâll be okay.â Trying to calm me down. When we all knew it was a disaster,â Ma looked out the window. âBut he was so brave. So good. Only thinking of his ma.â
âHm. Must have been a big change.â Coriolanus said.
âFamily and friends cut us off.â You told him, adjusting in your seat.
âNo new ones to be made here. Straboâtheir pa, that isâstill thinks it was the right thing to do. No kind of future in Two. His way of protecting us. His way of keeping Sejanus and (Y/n) from the Games.â
âIronic, really. Given the circumstances.â Coriolanus said. âNow, I donât know what Dr. Gaul has in mind, but I imagine she wants your help getting him out of there.â
âI donât know if I can. Him so upset and all. I can try, but heâll have to think itâs the right thing to do.â She said, glancing at you. âI canât let you go inside. You two have always been close, but I donât want you in there.â
âI donât want her to go inside, either.â Coriolanus chimed in. âMaybe there will be a different way.â
When you got to the arena, there were people already waiting outside of the doors. A dozen Peacekeepers, a good handful of Gamemakers, including Dr. Gaul. You approached tentatively, unsure about her presence. She didnât always come off stable, thatâs why you tried to keep your distance.Â
Coriolanus noticed this, choosing to stand between you two.
âAt least youâre punctual.â Dr. Gaul said. âMrs. Plinth, I presume? And little (Y/n).â
You pressed your lips together. Ma nodded, âYes, yes. Iâm sorry if Sejanus has caused any inconvenience. Heâs a good boy, really, Itâs just he takes things so to heart.â
âNo one could accuse him of being indifferent.â She agreed, looking at Coriolanus. âAny idea how we might rescue your best friend, Mr. Snow?â
âWhatâs he doing?â Coriolanus asked, ignoring the comment.
âJust kneeling there, looks like.â Dean Highbottom said, eyeing you. âPossibly in some kind of shock.â
âHe appears calm. Perhaps you could send the Peacekeepers in now without startling him?â Coriolanus suggested.
âToo risky.â Dr. Gaul shot it down.
âWhat about putting his mother on a speaker, or a bullhorn?â He asked. âIf you can darken the screen, surely you can manipulate the audio as well.â
âOn the broadcast. But in the arena, weâd alert every tribute to the fact that thereâs an unarmed Capitol boy in their midst.â Dean Highbottom said.
Coriolanus didnât speak for a second. âWhat do you propose?â
âWe think someone he knows needs to slip in as unobtrusively as possible and coax him out.â Dr. Gaul looked directly at you. âNamely, her.â
âNo.â Coriolanus said immediately, shaking his head so hard that his blonde curls started to bounce. âShe canât go in there. I will.â
âOh, no!â Ma cried. âIt canât be Coriolanus. The last thing we need is to put another child in danger. Iâll do it.â
âWhat we need is someone who can make a run for it, if necessary. If your daughter wonât, then Mr. Snow is the man for the job.â Dr. Gaul motioned to the Peacekeepers, who came over at her motion to dress him in body armor. âThis vest should protect your vital organs. Hereâs your pepper spray and a flash unit that will temporarily blind your enemies, should you make any.â
Coriolanus looked down at the bottle of pepper spray. âWhat about a gun? Or at least a knife?â
âSince youâre not trained, this seems safer. Remember, youâre not in there to do damage; youâre in there to bring your friend out as quickly and quietly as possible.â Dr. Gaul told him.
You started to shake your head, âCoryo, I canât ask you to do this.â
âYou arenât asking.â He looked at you. âIâm volunteering.â
âHeâs just a boy. Let me call my husband.â Ma begged.
Dean Highbottom gave Coriolanus a small smile. âHeâll be all right. It takes a lot to kill a Snow.â
You watched as Coriolanusâs face dropped, he sighed. And then he looked at you. âIâll bring Sejanus out. Donât worry.â
âBe careful.â You told him.
The Peacekeepers took him to the arena, where he disappeared inside. Your attention shifted to the news truck with the live feed of the tributes. It was dark though, too dark. You could barely make out anything, meaning you might as well had not been looking at all.
You were able to make out their figures, as Coriolanus slowly approached Sejanus to not scare him. They stood there, the minutes dragging on for what felt like forever, until they finally made the movement to leave, but not without Marcusâs body. They picked it up, made it a good deal across the arena before the other tributes came up to them. Less than a minute later, they came out.
And you were there in an instant, because you refused to leave without seeing either of the boys, while Ma went home. You had to push past the Peacekeepers to see Coriolanus and Sejanus, sitting on the tile. You crouched in front of them, hands on your knees.
âThat was stupid of you, Sejanus.â You told your brother, looking at the blood pooling on the ground. âBut you did what I couldnât do.â
And then you looked at Coriolanus, who had his eyes on you already. You could see the scrapes on his face, his chin mostly, and the blood on his forehead. You reached out, he winced, but let you touch the area around the wounds.
âThank you, Coryo.â You whispered.
His eyebrows furrowed. âOf course, (Y/n).â
From then on, seeing Coriolanus for longer than a few minutes at a time was rare. You looked forward to it each time. You saw him when Sejanus announced the Plinth prize, the sparkle in his eye at the mention of it.
He stopped by a couple days later, after Sejanus had gone to bed and Ma was cooking in the kitchen. You think he wanted to talk to Sejanus, possibly about the whole ordeal in the arena, but he had taken his sleeping medication. With the dosage he was on, there was no waking him.
You were sitting at the kitchen counter, swiveling side to side on the stool, talking to Ma as she baked her pies. You were about to go to bed, dressed in your pajamas, the only reason why you hadnât was because you were waiting for her to put the peach pie in the oven first. At the sight of Coriolanus, the cuts on his face, and the smile on his lips, youâd clammed up.
âI was just heading off to bed.â You said to him, sliding from the chair.
âAre you sure you donât want to stay for a piece of pie, (Y/n)?â Ma asked you, worry on her face.
âIâll have a piece tomorrow.â You told her. âBesides, I think Coryo will have a piece big enough for the both of us, isnât that right?â You smiled.
He nodded. âSure.â
âGoodnight.â You murmured, pausing long enough to let Ma kiss your forehead. You waved to Coriolanus, and then disappeared around the corner, where curiosity stopped you.Â
Except, what they talked about while he enjoyed the blackberry pie wasnât important, just about Sejanus and how the university would be better when he graduated. The real talk came after, when Pa wanted to see him. And Coriolanus went inside, closing the door behind him, which you then pressed your ear to.
âYou look just like your father.â
âI hear that a lot,â Coriolanus said. âDid you know him?â
âOur business overlapped at times.â Pa said. âItâs striking, the resemblance. But youâre nothing like him, really.â He paused for a moment. âNothing at all. Or youâd never have gone into that arena after my son. Impossible to imagine Crassus Snow risking his life for me. I keep asking myself why you did it.â
âI couldnât let (Y/n) go inside. And heâs my friend.â
âNo matter how many times I hear that, itâs difficult to believe. But even from the beginning, Sejanus singled you out. Maybe you take after your mother, huh? She was always gracious to me when I came here on business before the war. Despite my background. The very definition of a lady. Never forget it.â Pa said, there was another pause. âAre you like your mother?â
Coriolanus didnât speak right away. âIâd like to think I am, in some respects.â
âIn what respects?â
âWell, we shared a fondness for music.â
âMusic, huh?â
âAnd I do think we both believed that good fortune was⌠something to be repaid⌠on a daily basis. Not taken for granted.â Coriolanus said.
âIâd agree with that.â
âOh, good. Yes, well, so⌠Sejanus.â
âSejanus. Thank you, by the way, for saving his life.â
âNo thanks necessary. As I said, heâs my friend.â
âAnd (Y/n), is she your friend too?â Pa asked.
âYes, she is.â
âShe tells me that youâve done a lot for her lately.â Pa said slowly. âYou helped her at the zoo?â
âThat was nothing.â
âI wouldnât consider it so. She couldâve gotten seriously hurt if you hadnât stepped in. You saw the bruises.â He said. âYouâve checked up with her since. And volunteered to keep her safe when Dr. Gaul suggested that she should go inside of the arena.â
âWellââ
âCoriolanus, in District Two, there are traditions we have for families like ours.â Pa said, your eyebrows drew together. âWealthy families, I mean. Iâm not sure if the Capitol has the same beliefs.â
âIâm sorry, Iâm not following.â Coriolanus said.
âArranged marriage.âÂ
You felt your blood run cold, but at the same time, the heat flamed in your face, licking your cheeks. You pulled your ear away for a second, thinking that you shouldnât be listening in on this conversation.
âIâve heard of families coming together in the Capitol, but itâs not very common.â
âItâs for more than just wealth, itâs to combine names as well.â Pa told him. âSnow is a grand name, donât you think?â
âAs is Plinth.â Coriolanus agreed.
âSo, you understand what Iâm implying then? What would your grandmother think?â
âI think that she wouldnât agree to doing it so soon.â
âOf course not, it would happen after graduation, before university.â Pa said, âWill you give me your home phone? Iâd like to discuss this with your grandmother.â
After that point, seeing Coriolanus would be painful⌠except, you didnât see him the following day. In fact, you didnât see him again at all. The next time his name was brought up in your house was with Sejanusâs, which was tied in with the words District Twelve and Peacekeepers.
âWhat?â You asked, coming around the hallway corner. Maâs eyes widened. âSejanus is where?â
âOh, darling, you werenât supposed to hear that. We wanted to tell you tonight.â
You shook your head. âSejanus and Coryo went to District Twelve? Why?â
âI believe Coriolanus Snow signed himself up.â Pa told you. âAs for Sejanus, it was the best we could do. He wonât be there long.â
âAnd what about Coriolanus?â
Pa made a face, tilted his head, âTwenty years, is what I was hearing.â
Your mouth dropped open, a reaction that you couldnât stop in time. âIs that the same for Sejanus?â
âYes.â
The only option you were given to keep in touch was letters. You could write to either of them whenever you wanted. Ma even told you that she was going to pack them food to send, stuff that theyâd never be able to get in the districts, let alone Twelve.
With it being summer, you had plenty of time on your hands to write, but every time you picked up the pencil, the words escaped you. Everything that youâd been bottling to save for Sejanus seemed meaningless. So, you mostly replied to what Sejanus said, which could be a lot. He carried the conversations mostly, and you told him that you missed him. And youâd continue to miss him until he finally came back.
Which would never happen, not that you knew that at the time. It was a quiet day when the news reached your parents about what happened. That your brother had got caught up in rebel activities, which was treason. He was hanged without a trial, without a single letter sent home. For once, your familyâs money couldnât buy his way out of this one.
A black hole appeared in your chest, sucking in everyoneâs words, their emotions. Ma couldnât help you, even though she tried. She spent more time with you, trying to get you to speak, but all you wanted was to forget. Or to go back in time and tell Sejanus he needed to stop, that his actions would cost him his life.
Sejanus.
The boy you grew up with, the one you trusted with every secret, the one that kept you safe. Who youâd play with as a child when no one else would, who would help you with your homework when you fell behind. His sweetness, his hopefulness, his personality. Heâs gone. Heâs gone and you never got to say goodbye.Â
All you gave him was half-assed letters. If youâd known that it would be the last time you talked to him, you wouldâve done more. You wouldâve said so much more.Â
It was like almost every piece of him was gone, until the next wave of news came. While Sejanus would never get to leave District Twelve, Coriolanus had been honorably discharged. He was coming home to the Capitol. And with it being weeks after Sejanusâs death, it opened up a conversation that you thought was done for good.
The Snowâs were falling. Youâd heard the news about Tigris and their grandmother almost immediately after Coriolanus had left. They had to sell their apartment, the nice penthouse you went to visit once. They couldnât afford to keep it, so they downgraded, but the apartment lay empty.
Pa had decided that it was time to revisit the topic of an arranged marriage when he heard that Coriolanus was coming back. Ma really liked Coryo, because he was such a good friend to Sejanus. With your brother being gone, their attention had shifted a little, split between you and Coryo. Why keep it that way when there was a solution?
His grandmother agreed to it. It took a little bit of convincing, but at the mention of Pa buying the penthouse back as a gift, it made her cave. A letter was promptly sent to Coriolanus, who wasnât to leave Twelve for another few days while they settled his paperwork.Â
And his reply? âIt would be my pleasure.â
As you straighten out the dress again, you look at the time on the clock that the train station has on display. Coriolanus should be arriving at any minute. It was requested that he were to be picked up by a Peacekeeper truck to take him to the Citadel, but Pa pulled strings, as he always does. He wanted your face to be the first thing that Coriolanus saw when he stepped off.Â
You didnât agree to this. You wanted to put this off for as long as possible. Sejanus chose to go to District Twelve to follow Coriolanus. They were close. He was the last one to have a conversation with your brother when he was alive. Besides, youâre set to marry him in a few short weeks. His suit measurements take place in two days.
A horn sounds, you look up from your polished shoes, the one scuf you managed to get this morning on the walk here. It was too late to turn around and change the shoes. Besides, theyâre the only pair that matches this dress. A whole new outfit bought for Coriolanus, and he wonât even realize it.
The train pulls in the station, blowing cool air into your face. You take in a deep breath, trying to correct your posture. This will be the first time youâve seen Coriolanus in months. Does he even know that youâre here to greet him?
It doesnât matter. Once the doors open, you take a few steps toward them, trying to be casual. Itâs hard to, with the hammering in your chest. You press your lips together, regripping the handbag, coming to a stop in front of the doors. The first few people that file out look like regular Capitol workers.
Youâre too busy looking for Coriolanusâs blonde curls, that you almost miss him stepping out of the doors. His eyes flicker up for a moment, likely to collect his bearings, glancing over you.
You must register in his mind the next second, because he looks directly at you again, stepping off the train. You swallow, eyes stuck on his hair. Or rather, the lack of it. His headâs been shaved.
â(Y/n).â He smiles, âI wish I wouldâve known youâd be here, I wouldâve had something for you.â
âYour curlsâŚâ You murmur, face beginning to contort. If they got rid of his hair when he was enlisted, was the same done to Sejanus?
Coriolanus closes the distance between the two of you, pulling you into a tight hug. You press your forehead to his chest, hands gripping the clothes heâs wearing as you fight off the tears that threaten you. You donât want to cry, youâve spent so much of your time doing exactly that. For once, you want to be in control.
âIâm so sorry, (Y/n).â He says, âI canât imagine how difficult itâs been.â
âI miss him.â The words are strained, you pull your head back, looking at Coriolanus. âI wish he wouldâve told me what he was planning.â
âHeâd never put you in danger.âÂ
âI know.â You back away from the hug. Coriolanus holds out his elbow for you to take, you begin to lead him to the car. âI trust youâve learned a lot these past few months. Did you get to see Lucy Gray, at least?â
His face smooths out, this was not the right question to ask. He lets out a sigh, shaking his head. âI did, but her lifestyle is much different from mine.â
You nod. âYouâre not district.â
âIâm not covey.â He corrects, a smile hinting at the corners of his lips.
âOh, so she had you singing?â
âI wouldnât say that.â He looks away, at someone passing by.
Itâs quiet between the two of you for a moment. There was so much you wanted to say to him, but much like the letters to your brother, the words have left you. You chew on the inside of your cheek.
âYou have something on your mind.â Coriolanus says, itâs not a question.
You sniff. âItâs um⌠Itâs about Sejanus, just one thing I have to know before I can stop thinking about him.â
âHe wouldnât want you to do that.â
âItâs to put my mind at ease.â You stop outside of the car. âI know itâs not your tradition, Coriolanus, but were you able toâŚâ
He nods. âI was.â
You meet his eyes. âThe bread crumbs? They let you see his body?â
âHe has food on his journey.â He tells you.
You breathe out a sigh. âOh, good. Ma will be happy to hear that.â
Neither of you move for the car door, standing there, staring at each other. He eventually starts to shake his head. â(Y/n), I wonât do anything you donât want me to.â
âItâs too late for that.â You tell him. âWe can talk about it more later on, in a few days.â
Coriolanus reaches for the car door, motioning for you to go inside first. âIâll be here when youâre ready.â
You donât move to get inside. âThank you for being such a good friend to my brother.â
He tilts his head. âYou donât have to thank me.â
âYouâre the only piece of him I have left.â You shift on your feet, âI have to thank you.â

hi love!!!! your work is so amazing i love how you write
i was wondering if you could do a corionlanus x fem reader where sheâs his tribute and is about to be killed in the game but itâs kind of like that scene in you where she says âno donât kill me im pregnantâ and itâs his reaction and everyone watching trying to get them to end the games? iâd love to see what you could do w that feel free to change anything u want!
Songbird's Plan | Coriolanus Snow
Pairing: Coriolanus Snow x fem!tribute!reader
Summary: The presence of a song bird can change everything for one who appreciates them or "if it weren't for the baby" TBOSAS edition.
Warning/s: a bit of angst, Coriolanus Snow being in love, nickname (songbird), mentions of death, mentions of pregnancy, short fic, possible grammar and spelling mistakes
Author's note: It's finally here. Hope you enjoy.

The moment Coriolanus Snow met you he knew that he would do everything in his power to protect you from harm no matter what.
Of course he knew that that was going to be a difficult challenge because you were his tribute.
You were supposed to be in the games, you were supposed to literally fight for your life. There was always the chance that you would die, but Coriolanus didn't allow himself to think too long of this outcome. He knew that it would simply drive him to compete and utter madness.
So once the rebels bombed the arena, once he was out of the hospital and once he made sure that his tribute was okay, he sneaked into the arena the night before the games.
He spend more than half of the night searching for the places for his little songbird to hide. He did everything he could, he truly did, and he truly did though that he would be prepared for everything.
Yet as he found himself leaning towards the screen in front of him that displayed the scene of you being attacked by Coral he felt himself automatically freeze. He felt helpless.
He felt like he let you down and that ate him inside out.
Coriolanus felt like his heart was going to simply burst out of his chest as he watched, his throat tightening.
He watched Coral getting closer to you. He felt useless.
But there was something that both of you underestimated. There was a certain connection between you two. Both Coriolanus and you were smart, willing to do anything to survive.
Once Coriolanus remembered that, he forced himself to move. He could probably wipe out Coral with those badly made drones, but he needed some distraction because if Coral sees them, it's over. He could hit you.
"Please, don't!" Your voice broke out of the screen, Coriolanus felt himself flinch at the desperation behind it.
He watched your helpless form glazing away from Coral like you were on thin ice.
Coriolanus felt like he would scream put as Coral raised her weapon against you. But that's when you yelled out something that made his heart completely stop.
"No!" Your forceful voice shouted. "Don't kill me, I'm pregnant!"
Coral stopped for a moment. Coriolanus stopped for a moment. In fact, it seemed like the entire world stopped for a moment.
Coriolanus couldn't move, his mouth slightly agape as he watched you breathe heavily as you waited for Coral to move.
"Stop the games!" Tigris shouted in despair.
Coriolanus felt himself turn around quickly as he watched the mob of students standing up, waving his hands in air as they shouted to stop the games.
Coriolanus quickly turned to the screen and watched Coral still trying to gain her composure. He moved quickly, his body quicker than his mind.
If he doesn't do anything now, it would be over for you.
So as he send at least ten drones into the arena, successfully killing Coral, and as he watched your face twist in relief, and as he heard the cheers behind him he realized that maybe the hope wasn't lost after all.
His little songbird was truly a genius.

Based on this ask
Young!President!Coriolanus Snow x Innocent!Reader
Coriolanus Snow was the youngest president in Panems history. He was cunning, charming, and very, very smart. Which is why he's the youngest man to hold the presidential office.
But that's not truly the reason why he's President Snow at the tender age of 25.
NoâŚ.
He's the youngest president because he's a ruthless man. An evil man.
A snake that strikes both friend and foe with poison.
Nobody was safe from Coriolanusâ poisonous fangs.
Well, nobody, except his First Lady.
And you just happened to be First Lady Snow. The president's sweet, innocent wife who never saw his true colors.
Coriolanus, who you often called Coryo and even Snowflake (he'll kill anyone if they giggle, laugh, or snigger if in ear shot of you using the term of endearment for him), made sure that you viewed him as a loving gentleman. He never wanted you to see the cruel side of him.
You met him when you were both kids, before he became tainted and corrupted by the harsh cruelness of the world. You never experienced the cruelness of the world, being a bit sheltered by your family.
You were innocent, like a little dove.
And that's what drew Coriolanus to you. Your innocence enthralled him, memorized him even.
He made it his mission to keep all the horrors of the world away from you, to keep you innocent and naive.
Hell, you truly believed that he helped Lucy Grey win during his mentorship because he cared. You had no idea that he was thinking with his wrong head; wanted to get under her skirts.
You didn't know that he was sentenced to 20 years as a peacekeeper for his crime of cheating during the 10th Hunger Games. You truly believed his bullshit lie of wanting to follow in his father's footsteps (his father, Crassus Snow had been a general).
So, sweet, innocent, naive little you always believed what your Coryo told you. He was your perfect gentleman, your Snowflake, and you had no reason not to trust him.
President Snow, for all his faults and evil deeds, loved you with every fiber of his overly obsessive being. It's why he's done everything in his power to keep you from being corrupted by the world.
It's also why he had, nicely, forbid you from entering his office. Coriolanus gave you the excuse that he didn't want to be distracted from his duties of ruling over Panem, but in reality he couldn't risk you walking in on him while he had business meetings.
Some of which almost always ended with his visitor slumped over a teacup.
Dead.
Today tho, well, you didn't heed his warning and decided to visit him in his office instead of waiting for him to return to the living quarters.
You found out very exciting news and wanted to share it with him right away.
You put on a pretty pink dress, pulled your hair half back into a large bow (the way he preferred it), and picked some roses from the prized rose garden for the special announcement.
You happily made your way down the hall towards his office. His staff ignored you, knowing better to even look at you twice.
The staff wanted to live to see the next Yule season, thank you very much.
When you opened the door, you saw that your husband had a guest in his office. The man, who was stout with black hair; wearing a powder blue suit, was slumped over on your husband's desk.
President Snow wiped at the corner of his mouth with his handkerchief (his beloved one that you made special for him, embroidered with a light blue snowflake and his initials in maroon red thread) his icy blue eyes flickering up to the door to see who had walked in. He gave his staff specific orders not to be disturbed. He was ready to chew out whoever had walked it, but any and all retorts he had in the tip of his tongue had died when he saw you.
His precious, innocent, little dove.
Before he could ask whatâs wrong (he knew something was wrong because you knew his office was off limits and wouldn't just walk in unless it was an emergency), you pointed to the man slumped over the desk and asked, âCoryo, is he passed out?â
âOh, my little dove, don't worry about him. He just can't handle his liquor.â Coryo told you, even though the glasses on the desk were teacups and not rocks glasses typically used for liquor.
But of course, you believed your husband. He has no need to lie to you, has he?
Coriolanus stood up from his desk, only to walk over to you. âYou know you're not allowed in here while I'm working, Y/N.â He reminded you as he stopped right in front of you. Your husband towers over you, taking in how you were all dolled up and had a bouquet of roses in hand. Arching a brow, he asked, âIs something the matter?â
âOh, Snowflake, I know I'm not supposed to bother you while you're doing your presidential work, but I was so excited to tell you something.â You honestly told him, a bright smile on your face, as you handed him the roses.
âI'm usually the one who presents you with roses, my love.â Coriolanus chuckled, only to take the offered bouquet. âWhat's this exciting news that couldn't wait?â He asked, placing his large, calloused hand on your cheek only to caress your cheekbone with his thumb.
âI'm pregnant!â You joyfully smiled up at him.
âThat's wonderful news, my little dove.â Your Coryo cooed, pressing a kiss to your lips. He grabbed your hand, lacing your fingers together, and suggested, âLet's go celebrate this happy news with lunch in the sunroom.â
âOkay, but what about your guest? Shouldn't we wake him up?â You innocently asked, gesturing to the man lying dead on your husband's mahogany desk.
âI'll have one of the staff tend to him, Y/N.â Your husband assured you while leading you out of his office.
Little did you know what he really meant by that. But why would you, your husband's only ever showed you a soft, loving, gentleman. He's never shown you his true nature of being an evil, cruel, manipulative, murderous man.
Coriolanus is a snake, but to you he's Coryo, your Snowflake.
And he'll always be that to you since you'll forever be his sweet, innocent, little dove of a wife.

Threeâs A Crowd
Request: Hello! I have request for a Coriolanus Snow x Fem! Reader. Where the reader is pregnant and has to give a speech maybe during him becoming president but in the middle of it she goes into labour.
Pairing: Coriolanus snow x Fem!reader
Word count: 1.5k
warnings: pregnancy, light mentions of labor, classism, district versus capital opinions, the reader is from the capital
~~~~~~
You werenât the first choice. You knew that. But did it stop you from turning him away his advances?
Absolutely not.
You were kind, sweet, and everyone around you knew who you were. Growing up with the Snows and your close friends, you werenât the standout. It wasnât a bad thingâit just was.
You came from a wealthy family. Generational wealth that had taken a hit during the War, but quickly bounced back when your family invested in clothing manufacturing. Your family helped sponsor the reconstruction of factories destroyed in Eight, and soon, the business boomed. Your wealth grew, surpassing anything youâd ever imagined.
But despite having access to the finest fashion first, you remained the same sweet girl. Always willing to give a skirt, blouse, or dress with a flaw to Tigress, saying, âIt would be a shame to waste it. I just donât have the talents to fix it.â Tigress always smiled in return.
Watching you during the Hunger Games years ago had been painful. When the games changed, and Academy students had to mentor District tributes, you were assigned Wovey, a poor thirteen-year-old from District Eight. You did everything in your power to keep your promise to get her home. But near the end, after Wovey drank some water and died within minutes, your frustration boiled over. You demanded answers, questioned the contents of the water, and felt humiliated. You had failed, and it ate at you, gnawing at your pride.
After the Games, life seemed to return to normalâfor you, at least. News broke about Coriolanus Snowâs involvement in cheating and his banishment to District 12 as a peacekeeper, and the gossip spread like wildfire.
Youâd liked himâbeen acquaintances. You exchanged basic pleasantries, nothing more. He was smart. Incredibly so. Even in silence, his eyes were constantly assessing, watching everything.
You felt sorry for him. Sorry that he was stuck in an awful district with awful people. Sorry that heâd been manipulated by Lucy Gray, that District girl who you believed was only using him. How awful those District people were.
Then, near the end of summer, after Sejanus Plinthâs death, Coryo returned to the Capital. And he was differentâhardened, colder, more toned. But the way he looked at you was also different.
It began with simple compliments during classes at University. Compliments that made you blush. Then came walks to class, studying together, dinners. And before you knew it, you were standing beside him as the First Lady of Panem, ever so cold, calculating, and calculating. You saw the side of him he only allowed you to seeâthe soft, loving Coryo you had come to know and love.
And now here you were. Just two years into his presidency. The grand hall of your home was packed, its glittering elite seated in perfect rows as cameras broadcasted the event to the districts. Tonight, the event was designed to be a spectacleâa night of carefully crafted rhetoric.
You stood at the podium, poised, regal, your silk gown flowing over the unmistakable curve of your belly. Coriolanus had urged you to rest, to stay seated during the event, but you insisted. This speech was important.
The initiative you were launching, The Future of Panem Fund, symbolized progressâa new focus on education and healthcare for the next generation. It reinforced Coriolanusâ image as a leader who not only brought order but invested in the future. As his wife, you played a key role in solidifying that vision.
Standing before the audience, you smiled, your voice unwavering. âGood evening. I would like to thank you all for taking the time to come tonight. I assure you, it will be worth it,â you began, the polished ease of a practiced speaker settling over you. A sweet smile, a perfect face, the ideal First Lady for their perfect President.
âFor too long, we have focused on the presentâon survival, rebuilding, improving. But tonight, we look beyond the now. We look to what comes next. What comes tomorrow.â
A wave of nods rippled through the audience, all of them hanging on your words. You had crafted this speech carefully, balancing inspiration and strength.â
âThe Future of Panem Fund is not just an initiative; it is a promise.â Your hand rested lightly on your belly. âA promise that every child in the Capital will have access to education, healthcare, and the resources to grow strong and capable.â
Applause rippled through the hall, and beside you, Coriolanus stood composed, his sharp gaze never leaving you.
You took a steadying breath before continuing. âBecause the future of Panem is not written by chance. It is shaped by those with the will to guide it. Together, we will build a nation that does not just surviveâbut thrives.â
The applause swelled, echoing through the hall. You allowed a brief smile, savoring the momentâ
And then, the contraction hit.
Your breath hitched, pain radiating through your abdomen. You gripped the podium, forcing yourself to maintain a serene expression. You werenât going to falter.
Coriolanus noticed instantly.
Though he didnât move, you could feel his attention shift, his calculating mind assessing every detail.
Still, you pressed on. âThis fund will ensure that everyââ Another contraction. This time, your breath left you in a slow, controlled exhale. You gave a short laugh, shaking your head.
Oh.
Oh, this was happening.
You turned to Coriolanus and, in a voice that carried through the microphone, murmured with quiet amusement, âI do believe Iâm in labor, my dearest.â
Silence.
Then the hall erupted.
Laughter, cheers, applauseâthousands of people on their feet, reveling in the spectacle. This was their perfect momentâtheir President, his wife, and the arrival of their child, the future of Panem.
But Coriolanus didnât see it that way.
For the first time, his mask cracked. His usually unreadable expression betrayed sheer disbelief.
You, however, were laughing softly, gripping the podium as another contraction struck. âWell,â you exhaled, glancing back at the crowd, âit seems the future of Panem is arriving a little earlier than expected.â
More laughter, more cheers, more applause. Half the room was celebrating, while reporters scrambled to capture every moment as though it was a privilege to witness.
Coriolanus finally snapped into action.
âGo,â he barked sharply to the peacekeepers, âBring the doctor. Now.â
The peacekeepers moved immediately, but Coriolanus was already at your side, one hand pressed to your back, the other reaching to steady you. His grip was firm, unwavering, but you felt the tension radiating off him. More peacekeepers formed around you, escorting you out of the hall and to the private part of your home.
âYou should have been resting,â he muttered lowly, his voice tight as he guided you away from the podium.
You smirked despite the pain. âAnd miss my big speech? Not a chance.â
His jaw clenched, but a faint twitch of his lips betrayed something softer. âYouâre insufferable.â
âAnd yet,â you teased breathlessly, leaning into his support as another contraction hit, a small groan escaping, âyou married me.â
Cameras flashed as Coriolanus led you toward the exit, his grip protective, unyielding. The crowd cheered, watching their leaderânewly cemented in powerâprepare to welcome his heir, the new generation to rule Panem.
virgin coryo eating virgin reader out for the first time
mdni | virgin!coryo eats you out for the first time
you two have been dating for a few weeks now, and coryo just canât help that heâs so horny. after all, he is an eighteen year old boy. what can he do about it? most of his friends have talked about how good it is to have a girl suck their dick, but all he can think about is how much he wants to eat you out.
the very thought is driving him wild as you two paw at each other on your bed. your parents arenât home, and youâve been waiting so long to have coryo over, alone. youâre a little nervous though, youâve heard about his encounters with girls, especially that one behind the alleys, so youâre worried youâll look foolish and inexperienced.
âbaby,â coryo hums, pulling out of your open-mouthed kiss.
âyeah?â you ask anxiously, gnawing at your bottom lip.
his hands are gripping your bare thighs, fingers edging closer to them hem of your panties. youâve worn a particularly pretty pair, one thatâs pink and lacy, because youâre sure that he wants to have sex today.
âi wanna try somethingâŚâ he says nervously, baby blues glistening with want.
he looks down at your thighs, which are unconsciously clenching from his touch, and feels the blood rush to his cock. god, he wants to taste you so bad. heâs never wanted anything so much in his life.
âw-what?â you murmur, voice slightly strangled by your anticipation.
âi wanna eat you out,â he whines, pressing a kiss to your shoulder.
your cheeks burn red, embarrassed that heâs being so forward, but you canât say no. youâre practically soaking for him.
his hands find your panties, and he tugs them down with a little too much desperation. he takes off your skirt too, for good measure, and lets out a heavy breath when he sees your glistening cunt on display for him. his mouth is wet with want, and you whine a little at how hard heâs gripping your thighs.
âplease, can i?â his brows are knitted with want, baby blues stretched wide.
you nod, completely helpless to his advances. he runs a finger through your wet folds, entranced by how beautiful they are, and his cock hardens at the thought of getting to eat you out. you mewl as his fingers brush your clit, beginning to ache for touch.
when he feels confident enough, coryo presses kisses up your thighs, trailing his mouth towards the apex; deciding to tease you a little. he doesnât really know what heâs doing, but heâs determined and thatâs what matters. heâs jerked off to enough porn in his life that he can manage, and he wants nothing more than to watch you come around his mouth.
he moves so his mouth is inches from your cunt, and he lets out a breathy moan, cool air pressing right against you. you shiver, and your hand goes down to grasp at his pretty curls. coryo gives your folds an experimental lick, moaning at the sweet taste of your slick. when he sees you squirm and gasp, he gives another lick, this time his tongue trails from your labia down to your cunt.
âso⌠goodâŚâ you murmur, pressing his mouth flush against you, cunt throbbing with need.
coryoâs lips soon find their way to your clit, and you arch your back as he sucks at the sensitive nub. his tongue darts out occasionally to swirl it around, lapping at you like youâre his last meal and heâs a starving man. he canât believe the sounds youâre making; he takes it as a sign that heâs doing well.
your nerves seem to wash away as he eats you out, and you canât deny that youâre getting closer. itâs a little embarrassing, really, the way the knot is tightening in the pit of your stomach, getting closer and closer to unfurling. coryo begins to rut his hips slightly against the bed, feeling the need to satisfy himself, because the taste of you is making him achingly hard.
âcoryo!â you gasp, tugging at his curls, pushing his head down to apply more pressure to your clit.
your toes curl up as he gives a surprisingly skilful lick, tip of his tongue pressing deliciously flush to your clit. your body washes with warmth, and you come undone, slick gushing and pooling at your cunt. he continued to lap at your sensitive bud for a moment, eyes darting to spy you squirming from overstimulation. when heâs certain your orgasm has washed away, he moves his tongue down to lap up the slickness.
when he pulls away, his lips are coated with your juices, which makes you smile. he looks so pretty like this, blue eyes all shiny with lust. when he comes to kiss you, you can feel his hard cock pressing against your thigh. coryo bucks a little against your leg as your mouths intertwine, and he gasps slightly. when you crane your neck to look at him, his cheeks have gone red.
âsorry,â he glances down at the wet patch on his sweatpants. âcouldnât help it.â
coriolanus snow, who takes any chance he can get to make you feel like you need him.
struggling to grab a book off the top shelf? heâs got it, no worries. canât quite put a word to your emotions and thoughts? heâs finishing your sentences for you, as though he knows you better than you ever could. canât make yourself cum with your dainty little fingers? poor bunny, let him take of you.
itâs a tactic, he slowly invites himself more and more into your life, encroaching enough to the point where you feel you have to look to him for permission before every step you take.
coriolanus knows itâs wrong, but he canât help but want you all to himself. he cannot bear the thought of you gracing another person, let alone another man, with one of your winning smiles, or worse, pleasured moans.
and at the end of the day, itâs not like youâre bothered by it. he takes care of you, and donât you owe him your life for it? you donât know it, but if he keeps down this road, youâll end up locked in a tower like the pretty little princess you are. all of you just for him. <3
