Coran is their manager and Allura is their stylist. Shiro is the captain of the ship they've hired to take them on their intergalactic peace tour, in hopes of putting a stop to the brewing tensions in the universe. Lance and Veronica, alongside the Holts and Adam are all crew on the ship. The MFE pilots are tasked with the protection of the ship, and as their leader, James often comes into conflict with Keith because he's a pilot as well.

Hunk, Romelle, and Keith are childhood friends from humble origins. Hunk and Romelle started as a street act, before Coran discovered them and they were propelled into stardom. Keith can't carry a tune to save his life, but when Hunk and Romelle started to get more popular, he vowed to protect them. This whole 'peace tour' has him on edge.

(He's right to be worried. There are those who don't seem to want to let their peace mission succeed.)
