I started a NG+ file and replaying Thebes is still as unnerving as ever.

Also I guess the Aerial Capture collectibles have replaced a Tallneck puzzle for the whole of the map? Kinda bummed out tbh, I love climbing those big bois

Also a much more satisfying clearing of the map fog, in my opinion.

Puzzling through the Murmuring Hollow Relic Ruin, I could not stop grinning the entire time. I forgot how much fun Gildun is, and hearing the delight in Aloy's voice at the recognition of his voice was just so sweet and I really miss that side of her.

Also don't know how I havent mentioned it before, but oh god the Bilegut and Stingspawn are a new nightmare fuel. The Stingspawn in Cauldron Theta especially make my brain itchy with whatever the fear of many holes is

So I stayed up wayyyy too long last night (like, 2am; bad choices were made) and I've made it through Pangea Park and oh man, the stinky vibes about Londra have intensified tenfold.

Feels kinda really ick that the Compliance Officer character is a white male nitpicking and policing a woman of colour character for seeking change and action for the betterment of her people as "opposing the law" and seeking punishment for her actions in the name of "security".

I get that it's meant to make intra-tribe conflict but really? Feels kinda eeeeh right off the bat.

Finally completed my NG+ file, can finally finally start my Burning Shores playthrough. Looking forward to new machines ahead!

Kotallo is my new comfort character, I am just so in love with his acknowledgements when you stop by the Base to talk with him. He always has a moment to set aside, he always looks forward to a catchup chat, and he's always so wondrous with the information he's been learning.

Guerilla Games, let me spend more time with this man.

There's really something about the writing for the POSEIDON quest that feels so heartwarming. Like, I fully know it's repeated lines and echoes of themes and comparative narrative parallels but.

Morlund wanting to keep his grandfather's legacy alive with holoprojectors? Abadund being adamant of its not worth the risk, some dreams have to die, but he was just as in love with dream once too? Stemmur talking about choice, of the cost of the choice and if you can live with that choice?

The datapoints feel so poignant. Stanley Chen put so much love and care into the domes and water systems in Vegas, and it just feels like such a human thing to do, of holding onto the hope that maybe someday, someone will find this place I have put love into, and put love into this place themselves as well.

And the boys do exactly that. And you can see it on their faces when you walk out of the building and see everything lit up outside. I was almost in tears.

(The entertainment venues and games of chance thing just make it even funnier)

Morlund and Aloy give me such wholesome vibes. It's such a we-met-at-summer-camp-and-now-you're-my-best-nerd-friend feeling and it's a feeling of wonder and appreciation and collaborative innovation.

Well, I'm on The Broken Sky main quest and fuck me Kotallo is such an interesting character already. Plus he's got such good back and forth with Aloy, especially when she comments on the staring and whispers from the Tenakth being like the Nora.

I now also stan one Grumbly Mumbly Marshal.

I have most everything done and the next main quest is Singularity.

Excuse me while I scream into my hands because I stayed up until 5am last night/ today(?) to do the Vegas Gauntlet run and it is everything and more I could have hoped for.

I voluntarily got spoiled for the Gauntlets, but that in no way, shape, or form diminished my absolute joy at seeing him again. I was in absolute adoration the whole time. Fuck, guys, Nil looked so so good. 😍
