May 5, 2019 - Copper Seedeater (Sporophila bouvreuil)
These seedeaters are found in savannas and shrublands of eastern South America. Foraging in pairs in the breeding season and in large mixed-species flocks at other times of year, they eat grass seeds, picking at them while perched on grass stems. They were previously grouped with the Pearly-bellied Seedeater into a single species, known as the Capped Seedeater.
