Tiny View: Abel’s Tips for Good Sleep
In my journey to live a long, healthy life, I progressively took steps to improve my sleep hygiene. Here are what I have adopted.
Darkness:
Use blackout curtains for best effect.
Light has a big effect on our circadian rhythm. By all rights, we should be in light during the day, and in darkness when it's night. Modern life and modern technology have upended this.
Light should not fall on us when we sleep. We should be sleeping in complete darkness, if possible.
(Conversely, when it’s time to wake, we should let maximum light on us. Turn on all lights. Open the windows, let light reach our eyes and skin. Even better, go out and walk in the morning sun. Set and reset our circadian rhythm, everyday.)
Silence:
Our minds should be resting(sleeping!), not processing noise, even if it’s background noise, even if it's noise we may not consciously register.
Wearing those moldable earplugs to sleep was a gamechanger. I don’t hear a thing. No sound jars me awake anymore. I sleep like a log every night now.
Comfort — Thread count:
Sleep in a high thread count bedsheet.
A typical bedsheet has a thread count between 180 to 300. The ones in high-end hotels have 900 to 1500. I think mine is 900 and I feel the improvement from my old sheets. I literally think it feels like silk(it's really just polyester). Even now, every time I lay in bed, I can’t stop thinking how smooth(silky!) the bedsheet feels.
Comfort — Mattress firmness:
If your bed is sunken and lumpy, it might be time to get a new mattress. I prefer a firm one(8 out of 10 on the “firmness scale”). I remember when I first changed my old mattress, I didn’t realise how uncomfortable the old one was until I slept in the new firmer one…
Comfort — Coziness:
I live in tropical Singapore. I love the heat and I used to sleep with just the fan on. But nowadays(curse you, climate change!), it gets too hot in the middle of the night that it wakes me up.
Now, I turn on the air-con when I sleep. It’s set to run until 3am. I find that the room stays cool till morning.
Emptiness — Stomach:
Best to consume all food and drinks 4 hours before sleep. The digestion of food affects sleep. Empty your bladder before going to bed too.
Emptiness — Mind:
Calm and empty your mind by performing slow, deep breaths. I find this really cathartic. Especially when I can take 4 deep inhales and exhales over 2 minutes, turn to my side and fall asleep.
Single Purpose:
This is my second most important tip(earplugs is the top). THE BED IS ONLY FOR SLEEP.
I learned this during National Service. As recruits, we were forbidden to lay on our beds during daylight. Since then, I realized this is a good rule.
I think we train our minds to associate bed with phone, or laptop, or food, or other things, when we do such things in bed regularly.
Train our minds to associate bed only with sleep, such that when we do lay on the bed, our mind goes “oh this feeling, yep, it’s time to sleep!”.
Care for futureself, have a good sleep.

Unlocking Comfort A Brief Guide to High-Quality Single Mattresses in Singapore
Welcome to the realm of luxurious slumber and undisturbed dreams! In Singapore, where space is a prized possession, the choice of a high-quality single mattress is paramount. Whether you're seeking solace in the confines of your solo sanctuary or catering to a growing child's needs, investing in a super single mattress size is a decision not to be taken lightly.
Understanding High-Quality Mattresses
Quality reigns supreme when it comes to selecting a mattress that will cradle you into a restful night's sleep. But what defines high quality? It's more than just thread count or fancy marketing jargon; it's about the materials used, the craftsmanship involved, and the promise of durability. A high-quality mattress ensures optimal support, pressure relief, and temperature regulation, offering a cocoon of comfort that beckons you after a long day's toil.
The Allure of Super Single Mattress Size
Enter the realm of super single mattress size—a divine convergence of space-saving design and indulgent comfort. Measuring slightly larger than a standard single yet more compact than a double, the super single mattress size in Singapore is the Goldilocks of bedding options. It's just right for those craving a bit more wiggle room without sacrificing precious floor space in their abode.
Navigating Single-Size Mattresses in Singapore
In the bustling metropolis of Singapore, where options abound and choices overwhelm, finding the perfect single-size mattress can feel like embarking on a quest. Fear not, intrepid sleeper, armed with the right knowledge, you can navigate the maze of mattress offerings with ease. Consider factors such as firmness level, material composition, and additional features like hypoallergenic properties or motion isolation to tailor your choice to your specific needs.
Exploring Single Mattress Options
Customisable Comfort
One size doesn't fit all when it comes to sleep preferences. Look for single-size mattresses in Singapore that offer customisable features such as adjustable firmness or dual-sided constructions, allowing you to tailor your sleeping surface to your exact needs.
Durability and Longevity
A high-quality single mattress is not just an investment in comfort; it's an investment in your well-being. Seek mattresses constructed from durable materials like high-density foam or pocketed coils, coupled with robust warranties that offer peace of mind for years to come.
Ease of Maintenance
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, convenience is key. Opt for single mattresses that are easy to maintain, with features such as removable, washable covers or hypoallergenic materials that resist dust mites and allergens.
Enhanced Support and Alignment
Beyond mere cushioning, a high-quality single mattress should promote proper spinal alignment and provide adequate support for your body's contours. Look for features like zoned support or responsive foam layers that adapt to your movements, ensuring that you wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Temperature Regulation
Avoid waking up in sweat by selecting a single mattress with advanced temperature-regulating properties. Seek materials like breathable fabrics or gel-infused foams that dissipate heat and wick away moisture, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout the night.
Motion Isolation
Say goodbye to disturbances caused by restless sleepers or late-night movements with a single mattress that offers superior motion isolation. Look for features like individually wrapped coils or memory foam layers that absorb movement, preventing it from transferring across the mattress surface.
Conclusion
In the quest for the perfect single-size mattress in Singapore, quality reigns supreme. Embrace the allure of a super single mattress size and unlock a world of comfort and rejuvenation.

Purchase Fitted Bed Sheets Online at the Lowest Prices From Cottoncrumbs
You can choose between flat sheets and any Fitted Sheets in Singapore; both protect the mattress and give you a soft, comfortable surface to sleep on. When buying bed linens, you must decide whether you want the bedsheet to pull tightly over the mattress to lessen the likelihood that it will come loose, or whether you want it to fold easily and neatly when not in use.
While some of us prefer to sleep with a flat stack of folded sheets and an extra layer of covers, others adore the ease and speed of fitted sheets. Flat Sheets are only available at Cottoncrumbs for the lowest prices in our online store.
You might be curious to know how we use flat sheets and fitted sheets if you enjoy soft, plush bedding and a truly opulent sleeping environment. You can now learn about the distinctions between flat and fitted sheets since you are well-versed in all things related to sheets.
How do I pick a great fitted sheet?
Fitted sheets typically cover the mattress and are held firmly in place by an elastic band. They protect the mattress and provide a plush, even surface for you to lie on.
Before purchasing fitted sheets, it's essential to have the correct mattress measurements. You need to know the length, width, and thickness of the fitted sheet so that you can ensure that it will fit tightly over the bed and won't easily come off.
The corners of a fitted sheet that is the wrong size won't fit properly and won't stay in place.
How are flat sheets used?
As you are aware, the top sheet, also known as a flat sheet, was initially positioned over the sleeping individual's blanket. Flat sheets are typically used to make your bedding feel cosier and more welcoming because many people use duvet covers.
Consider it an additional layer of comfort and warmth that keeps you warm while you sleep and prevents the comforter or blanket from becoming soiled. The flat sheet can be used as a covering alternative on warm nights.
Because it lets your skin breathe, a flat linen sheet will help you stay cool in the summer and warm enough in the winter. A flat sheet can be used alone and draped over the sides of the bed, so it is not necessary to know its exact size before buying one. Just make sure it has enough space for your bed.
If you don't mind tucking the corners, another option is to use a flat sheet over the mattress. Whatever your preferred sheet style, new flat sheets are the best way to renew your bedroom and give it a fresh look.
For a Scandi vibe, go with crisp whites and minimalist greys, or rich jewel tones for a seductive, sensual look.
Choose Cottoncrumbs as a result, and get the best Bedsheet In Singapore prices from our online store. You can without a doubt order fitted sheets from our website if you need them as well in Singapore.

2 Main Reasons to Buy Flat Sheets Online In Singapore
In any home, bedsheets are a necessary furnishing. You cuddle in them for roughly 8 to 12 hours every day. This essential buy must meet your needs. Home innovators and decorators have been passionately divided on flat and fitted bedding. Some people buy flat sheets online as they find them necessary for their bedding.
Varieties of Bed Linens
You must understand the benefits of both types of sheets for the discussion to continue.
A flat Bed Sheets
Like their name would imply, these sheets are substantial pieces of fabric that can be spread across the mattress and are frequently made to fit the size of your bed. These sheets have stitched seams around the borders to prevent them from scrunching up while you are on the bed because they are not intended to be tucked in.
What Composition Are Flat Bed Sheets?
Polyester
Bamboo/cotton
Polyester, rayon, and nylon
The fabric you choose will determine its amount of additional comfort and how long it will endure before needing to be washed. For instance, due to its ability to absorb moisture, most kids choose flat sheets made entirely of polyester. In addition, seniors who want a comfortable night's sleep like cotton as their main sheet material.
What Benefits Come With a Flat Sheet?
Body Defence When Sleeping
Flat sheets are frequently used to cover your body while you sleep and sit immediately beneath the comforter. These sheets are placed on top of fitted sheets to avoid rips and stains. This prolongs the freshness of your mattress and sheets.
A flat sheet might help safeguard pricey mattresses if you have skin conditions that could contaminate your bedding, including discharge from the body, bleeding wounds, or other skin conditions. People feel relieved because of this protection, which also saves time from frequently washing additional bedding.
The Barrier to Sensitive Skin
A mattress can harbour common irritants like dust, bacteria, and mites for a very long period. This can harm your skin and respiratory system. A soft flat sheet helps keep the skin cool and free from irritation if you suffer from skin conditions like eczema or acne.
In addition, these sheets remove excess moisture from the body or environment, allowing you to have a comfortable night's sleep. A flat sheet is helpful for respiratory problems when you sleep because it keeps you from coming into contact with dust and bacteria.
Conclusion!
One cannot argue against the advantages of either flat or Cotton bed sheets Singapore. However, prioritize your comfort over fashion and trends.

The Ribbon
Interlude in Days and Nights of Forever (AO3)
Directly follows Corea News: Outstanding Royals: The King’s Birthday
Pieces of Paper and The Morning Before apparently affected me more than I realized
Let’s have an interlude. This is smut-fluff. I just need some fluffy sweetness between husband and wife.
Tae-Eul felt tears rise in her eyes as Gon kissed her heatedly. In the back of her head, very very far back, she knew Jangmi and Yeong were in the car with them and probably trying not to see them, but she didn’t care.
Gon’s thumbs wiped the tears that spilled past her eyelashes without stopping his kiss, and he moved from her lips to her cheeks, peppering her face with kisses. She loved his breath against her skin, his lips, the wet heat of his tongue when he drew her earlobe into his mouth.
“I missed you,” he whispered against her ear. “Did you miss me?”
She nodded, wrapping her arms around him tighter.
She took her turn in kissing his cheeks, his eyelids, his forehead, both sides of his nose, which made him chuckle against her. She pressed her lips to his, bit his lower lip, and soothed it with another kiss. Then she snuggled against him, leaning on his side and shoulder, their arms intertwined between them. He pressed his cheek against her head. She held his hand with both of hers in her lap.
The drive didn’t last that long. When the car stopped, Gon didn’t wait for someone to open his door. He pushed it open and gently pulled her with him.
Yeong had driven them straight to the pocket garden and the French doors that led to their study. Once inside, Gon removed his coat. He pulled Tae-Eul against him and just held her like that, his arms crossed around her back, hands at her waist. Tae-Eul pressed her cheek against his cashmere, loving the feel of being completely wrapped in him.
She could hear his heart beating.
“How are you?” “I’m fine. Have you eaten?”
“Before the flight.” She felt him kiss her hair. “I should take a bath.”
Tae-Eul leaned back in their embrace and smiled up at him. “Let’s get you into a bath then.”
The hallways leading to their room were already emptied. Between the study and their bedroom, Gon had completely undone her bun and made her slightly unsteady so he had to support her the last few steps to their door.
He didn’t let go until her knees locked again underneath her. He looked entirely too pleased about that. Tae-Eul slapped him on the shoulder and then used the same hand to fan her face as she pushed off him to the en suite. She kicked off her shoes on the way there.
She turned on the taps at the tub. He was right behind her, already barefooted. She turned to him and pulled his turtleneck out of his trousers and then up, over his head. She let the black cashmere drop on the floor because he had already tugged her for another kiss, another hug, and she ran her hands over his skin, loving the familiar heat and… electricity. She could swear her fingertips were tingling. So she pressed them gently against his skin to soothe them.
She felt water lap against her feet.
“Oh!”
He held her arm and waist firmly as she dove to turn off the taps. They laughed and he kept his hold on her as she dumped his bath salts in the water.
“Get in there and get clean.”
“Join me?”
She raised her eyebrows. “Really?”
As she expected, he shook his head ruefully. “No. Not safe. Wait for me.” He led her back to their bedroom, not letting go of her hand until she was on dry floor. She smiled at him and pushed him in the direction of the tub.
She retrieved her shoes, went to their walk-in wardrobe, and changed out of her dress. He’d been gone for two weeks. It was the longest they’d been apart, not counting certain circumstances.
Two weeks. That meant she no longer had to think or second-guess putting on a particular floor-length, silk nightgown. It was a Queens Day gift from Seung-ah, and Tae-Eul hadn’t taken it out of the box since she first opened the gift.
Now, however, two weeks was enough to give her the gumption to wear this.
And it wasn’t bad. In all honesty, it was gorgeous.
It draped and fell to the floor in shiny black silk. The neckline was a deep V, accentuating that yes, her breasts had grown bigger since her pregnancy. The nightgown covered her to the ankles and wrists, but the entire thing was held together under her breasts by nothing more than a slender strip of white silk chiffon ribbon, stark against the black silk.
Seung-ah had said it was like giving the king a present to unwrap.
Tae-Eul blushed and turned away from the mirror before she changed her mind.
It was his birthday.
--------------
Gon felt Tae-Eul return to the bathroom before he saw her. He opened his mouth to tell her to be careful of the wet floor but his words died in his throat when she came into sight.
She looked like a goddess.
He loved her in sheer, billowing sleeves like that, because he knew the softness of the arms underneath.
He loved the gown hinting at her waist, because he knew how tiny it was, even now that she was pregnant, and knew the delicious curves of that waist flaring to her hips.
He loved the lapels of that gown over the little bean just starting to show now.
And that ribbon.
His hand twitched.
He exhaled the breath he hadn’t known he was holding when Tae-Eul sat at the ledge of the tub.
“How was it?”
“What?”
He sounded completely gormless even to his own ears.
She laughed. “Singapore. Did you get everything done to your satisfaction? When we last talked, you said the Minister of Finance was tricky.”
He just stared at those pink lips and his eyes were also drawn to the ribbon, the ends fluttering with Tae-Eul’s slightest movement.
He groaned when Tae-Eul leaned forward and scrubbed his neck and behind his ears with the sponge. She was biting her lips, amused. The water was clear. There was no hiding what she’d done to him.
He gently grabbed her hand. “Let me finish this. Don’t get your gown wet.”
“I’m going to take it off anyway.”
He stared at her audacity and then grinned when she predictably blushed. “I should go away more often.”
“No.”
With that, she rose from the tub ledge. And his hand seemed to have a mind of its own. Gon watched it rise and snag the end of that ribbon.
The bow came apart and he watched again, mesmerized, as the black silk gaped to give him a glimpse of a swath of skin at her middle, before she caught the fabric in her hands and walked away from him, without retying the ribbon.
She was biting her lip as she walked away, looking back at him saucily but laughing at herself almost immediately.
She was adorable and she was a goddess and Gon had never rinsed after a bath so fast.
He dried off and wrapped a towel around his waist.
When he made it to their bedroom, Tae-Eul sat facing him on the bench in front of their bed. She had knotted the ribbon.
--------------------------
Tae-Eul watched her husband take long strides to where she sat. The way he looked at her made her blood pound in her ears.
When he was in front of her, he paused, and then dropped down beside her on the bench.
“Are you trying to kill me?” he said, wrapping his arms around her and drawing her against him, his hands running up and down her back over the silk.
She laughed, half-embarrassed, half-thrilled.
“Do you like it?”
“I love it,” he said against the shell of her ear, kissing her there and on her neck. “I love you. You are so beautiful.”
Then he stood up and pulled her to the bed. He sat down while he kept her standing between his knees.
With his eyes on hers, he pulled both ends of the ribbon.
The nightgown pretty much stayed put. Tae-Eul rather thought it should have been nudged away by how hard her heart was beating in her chest.
Then she drew a sharp intake of breath when she felt his fingers brush the skin near her breast, and another as he gently lifted the lapels of the gown and she felt the cool air on her skin.
His eyes were still locked on hers. But once the edges of the gown were at her shoulders, his eyes moved to sweep down her body.
His hands went to her waist, touching her too lightly, so she placed her hands over the silk to press her hands more firmly against her skin, smiling at him. He smiled back.
“How long have you been planning this gift?”
As if she wasn’t trembling from the heat of his gaze, she scrunched her nose. “I just happened to have this nightgown.”
He grinned and drew her to sit on his lap. He kissed her cheek, nuzzling it while his hands caressed her waist and belly.
When his hands--finally-- went to her breasts, he gently cupped them, his thumbs stroking the sides. He looked at them and said, “Do they feel okay now?”
Tae-Eul nodded and told him with her eyes that they were more than okay, that they should be touched more than he was currently touching them. And he always did read her mind. His hands moved in a firmer squeeze and his thumbs brushed both nipples. Her breathing sped up and she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him with more urgency than all their languid kisses so far.
Reading her mind again, he scooped her up and placed her on the bed.
She watched him dispose of his towel in one swift movement. Then he was gently rearranging her on the bed, moving her so that her head was on the pillows, and then and only then did he finally press her down into the mattress, embracing her with his entire body.
She had missed this. Missed him. She wrapped both arms around him, loving the feel of the silk on her arms, and the heat of his skin against it. She was still technically wearing the nightgown. It was simply open at the front, baring her to him, and he kissed her everywhere that wasn’t covered in silk.
He paused to check on her when he suckled on her left nipple. With his lips wrapped around her and his eyes looking at her with that soft gaze, she could do nothing but nod and make a needy noise, because she was beginning to ache and need him.
“Are you-- are you going to check on me every time you do something?”
He smiled softly, his eyes affectionate and heated at the same time. When he spoke, his voice was in that low timber that made her chest tight. “Your breasts hurt before. Does anything else hurt?”
“Nothing, nothing hurts.” When he teased her with light touches, she said, “Lee Gon, don’t make me hurt you.”
His soft smile turned wider, and she smiled, loving his boyish grin. She pulled him toward her so she could kiss that grin. They both groaned against each other’s mouths because everything else met as their lips met, and they could both feel how ready she was.
Without checking this time, he simply slid home, and she gasped against his lips as he eased into her inch by glorious inch.
When he had sunk to the hilt, he was looking at her, checking again, so she kissed him and rocked her hips, telling him clearly what he should put his mind to. And he did just that, sliding his arms around her shoulders and his elbows bracing there beside her head as they started a steady rhythm.
She stroked his hair. It was wet at the ends from his bath. And she could smell the musky, earthy, and clean, sharp scent of the patchouli and vetiver in his bath salts. She had been sniffing that bath salt for the past two weeks, but it wasn’t the same.
He only smelled like him when the scent was on him.
“I missed you so much.”
“I missed you.”
“I thought of this. Every. Time. I. Went. To. Bed.”
“We were video calling every time.”
“That’s why.”
They both giggled, though their expressions quickly morphed to something else and she gasped and closed her eyes at a particularly heavenly thrust. And Gon being Gon, missing nothing, he did it again, and again, rendering her speechless and mindless.
He pressed his lips against her neck, and she dug her fingers against his scalp, loving the closeness, loving the feel of him in her arms and inside her.
“Are you falling asleep?”
“No.” She had been very tired the last few months, but she wasn’t now. Not right now. Not when she hadn’t seen him for two weeks. She smiled without opening her eyes, and turned her head to catch his lips with hers.
Then she had to wrench her mouth away from his when she was close, and she cried out when she came.
She kissed him again even while she still trembled, anchoring herself to him through the kiss.
Gon had a look of concentration now. He was looking at her, and he had slowed his pace.
She clung to him and groaned as he lifted her up, kept them married, and stood from the bed. Then he gently laid her on her back on the bed, with her hips at the edge. This move separated them and her arms flopped down bonelessly beside her.
She watched him as he tied the ribbon of her gown loosely under her breast. Very loosely. The edges of the gown didn’t even meet; they remained at her shoulders and at her sides framing her rather than covering her.
He nodded in satisfaction. “I love that ribbon.”
Then he lifted her thighs around his hips and thrust back inside.
Tae-Eul gasped and reached for him, but he stayed just out of arms’ reach standing over her and starting a relentless pace. She balled the sheets in her hands and hung on.
She watched him watch her. “What do you think about when you look like that?”
He expelled breath. “Like what, like I’m trying to give you another orgasm and you keep interrupting me?”
She laughed between her sharp intakes of breath. “Yes.”
“Math equations.”
She would have laughed again but her breath hitched in her throat and she closed her eyes and groaned. Maybe that did it, or maybe he just couldn’t really stay away from her for long. She soon felt the warm weight of his torso against her, his hair falling over his brow as he leaned in to kiss her, bracing himself on his arms on either side of her head.
She held him close and gasped softly against his ear with each thrust of his hips, his cock brushing and stroking her differently in this position, and it was so good, so good, and she had really missed him.
She felt him stiffen and thrust hard with his release. On the fourth thrust, another orgasm rolled through her.
They both just held each other for long moments, kissing languidly and sharing each other’s air. Then he gently withdrew and climbed into bed, pulling her along with an arm behind her knees until she was fully back on the bed with his arms around her and one leg over both of hers.
“I really did hate being away,” he said, looking at her with heavy-lidded eyes.
She laid a hand on his cheek, poking his dimple when he smiled. “Me too.”
“I won’t do that again for awhile, not until you can come with me.”
“Well, that will be quite a while.”
He grinned and kissed her. “Did you like your surprise?”
She scrunched her nose. "It was cheesy. I can't believe you did that in public."
They laughed.

Summary:
When miss Potts told him that Tony had a migraine, it was a no brainer for him to swing over and help his mentor.
The older hero had been there many times for Peter so he was happy to repay the favour.
Or
Tony has a migraine and Peter takes care of his mentor (totally not his dad or anything) for a change.
Read on AO3
Tony stirred slightly in his sleep when he felt the bed dip next to him. He went to open his eyes but they felt heavy, a dull throbbing pain behind his eyes made instead itself known, quickly joined by nausea twisting his stomach.
"Hey. I need you to wake up a little more, babe." Pepper's voice was quiet as she tried not to aggravate his migraine
He groaned but managed to force his eyes open. A sharp pain immediately replaced the throbbing in his temples.
Pepper sat on the bed next to him, dressed in one of her neatly pressed work outfits. Her hair was immaculate as always. She smoothed a hand over his own hair, brushing it away from his eyes before cupping his jaw. Her lithe fingers were cool against his face. She bent down and pressed a gentle kiss on the pained crease between his brows.
"I had FRIDAY cancel your meetings and appointments." she said to him softly. "I still have those conference calls with Singapore, so I can't stay, but I want you to rest, alright? I put a lock on your lab and Peter is coming over later to keep you company. Morgan is still at her sleepover until tonight so you don't have to worry after the little miss either." She smiled gently at him, knowing that, as much as he acted like he didn't care, he hated being alone.
Tony smiled back at her, feeling it come out as more of a grimace, but knowing that Pepper would understand. "Thank you." He managed to rasp out, feeling his brain pound with every syllable.
Pepper smiled lovingly at him. She ran her hand over his head and gave him another kiss before quickly and quietly sliding to her feet.
Tony was asleep again before she was even out the door.
---
When Miss Potts (now Stark) had called him, Peter was only slightly surprised. Before the Snap (no he didn't call it the Blip. That name made it seem like a five second glitch instead of the five year tragedy that it was) she would often call him to ask for his help in coralling Tony into doing something he didn't want to, such as the paperwork and contracts she had him look over and sign.
After the Snap where everyone had been brought back (and Mr. Stark losing his arm) she would call him for all manner of things ranging from asking him to help talk to Tony, or even herself, after a nightmare to helping Morgan decide on whether to wear her Spiderman hoodie or her Iron Man sneakers.
This time she had asked him to help with looking after his mentor. Once he learned that Tony had a migraine, he was immediately worried about being too loud or disturbing him. Afraid that he would just make it worse for the man.
Pepper had reassured him that it would be fine and that even if he did accidentally make a noise, Tony wouldn't be upset or cross with him.
Pepper was always calm and the voice of reason. She reminded him a lot of May at times.
Since she and May had become friends, she would also occasionally call or text Peter and ask how May's night shifts had gone so she wouldn't disturb the other woman's deserved rest. Peter was happy that May had been able to meet Pepper. That they had found a friend in each other.
He loved seeing May building friendships with someone. She deserved to get out more and socialize with someone outside of her work at the hospital and her 17 year old son nephew.
Peter was grateful that May had found a friend in Pepper. One that could understand the fear and hardship as well as the pride and love of dealing with a superhero loved one.
He was also happy that Tony had someone like Pepper in his life too. The man deserves people in his life who love him, people that aren't fake or just after his status and money.
Peter had seen first hand that Tony loved and was loved back by Mr. Rhodey and Happy as well as Pepper.
He knew that Tony loved him too even though the man was a lot more open in his affections, he would still occasionally have his "emotionally stunted" moments as Pepper called them.
The care and time he put into their lab days and pizza and movie nights before the Snap showed it well enough to Peter. The sleepovers, picnic days, and lake days out at the cabin after the return only strengthening the knowledge.
Peter was going to do his best to help Mr. Stark feel better because it was, and is, what the man had done for him so many times already.
'Hey, I'm Spiderman. I can't mess this up, right?' He thought to himself. 'There's nothing to worry about.'
There were absolutely things to worry about.
Peter had only just arrived and he had already messed up.
He'd gone up to the penthouse living area where the Stark's living quarters were (as well as Peter's own room just across the hallway from Tony and Pepper's and next door to Morgan's) and he had successfully put his backpack and suit in his room. He'd even changed into comfortable clothes and gotten some food ready to heat up for Tony if he felt up to eating later. He had felt pretty solid in his caretaking abilities.
He left the kitchen and walked up the hallway towards Tony's bedroom. He knocked quietly and waited. When he received no answer he opened the door softly, being mindful of his strength that he didn't push it too hard that it hit the wall. He tiptoed into the room, relieved that he hadn't woken or disturbed Tony yet.
Then he had to go and trip over the gauntlet for one of Tony's older Marks that was resting on the floor just inside the bedroom for some inexplicable reason.
It slid across the carpet and went careening into the leg of one of the drawers near the wall with a surprisingly loud clang. Tony flinched awake, a full body shudder from the man that had Peter cringing in a mixture of sympathy and guilt. He hadn't meant to wake him or aggravate the migraine that Tony was suffering from. His stomach twisted at the thought of ever hurting his mentor
Peter gasped, slapping a hand over his mouth. "Mr. Stark, I'm so sorry!" He whispered, a slight edge of panic in his voice.
Tony sat up carefully and leant back against the pillows behind him. He blinked a few times against the pain as his eyes tried to adjust to the dim light that FRIDAY had provided. He was relieved when the movement didn't bring back any of his earlier nausea. "Hi kid." He murmured, voice raspy from sleep. "S' ok. Shoulda picked it up las' night." He shifted over and patted the bed next to him, his mechanical arm whirring. The sound almost unnoticeable if not for Peter super hearing.
Peter crossed over and sat next to him. "Sorry I woke you up." He gave his mentor a sheepish smile before leaning into his side and hugging him, being careful not to smother him or squeeze him too hard.
Tony wrapped his arm around Peter's shoulders (the metal prosthesis still in its place in Tony's chest of drawers) and let himself relax into the pillows, his head falling back to rest against the headboard as he let his eyes close, grateful to the immediate reprieve from the light. Despite the throbbing in his head, he relished the feeling of having his kid next to him, grateful that they could have moments together. Moments that he had once thought were lost forever.
"Hey Mr. Stark?" Peter's voice broke through the quiet lull they had fallen into.
Tony hummed in response, his head turning slightly towards Peter but his eyes stayed closed.
"I brought some food over with me. Do you wanna try to eat something and move to the comfy room?" The boy asked, referring to the room entirely made of mattresses and pillows that they would use for anything from movie nights, to sensory overloads.
Tony thought for a moment. Some food would probably be good especially since he could only take his migraine medication with a full stomach.
He hummed again. "I think food is a good idea."
He moved his arm from Peter's shoulders and shifted to get off the bed. He let himself take the hand Peter offered to help steady him from the slight dizziness he felt after standing. Not eating because of the, now thankfully gone, nausea catching up to him.
Peter started leading them out to the hallway but paused just before the door. "You want me to get your arm or do you wanna just let it rest today?" He asked Tony, knowing that sometimes the man needed a break from the prosthesis since it would still tire him out or aggravate his stump at times.
"I think I'll give it a rest. Thanks kid." Tony answered and let himself be led to the kitchen, listening as Peter started rambling about the food choices he'd brought, not sure about what Tony would want and if he'd be nauseous and need something lighter for his stomach.
Tony just smiled.
---
After eating and getting Tony his medication, they were settled in a nest of pillows and blankets in the comfy room.
"How're May and Hap doin'?" Tony's quiet question breaching the comfortable silence.
Peter grinned at him from his place cuddled into the man's side. "Disgustingly happy." He faked a gag. "Really though, the pet names are going too far now. Who even says snookums anyway?"cute detail
Tony scoffed and poked him in the side. "Like you're one to talk. Have you seen yourself around MJ?" He smirked as the boy turned red.
"That's different!" Peter spluttered. They weren't so bad were they? He thought.
Tony just smiled at him, something shining in his eyes that Peter couldn't place. "How is scary spice anyway? She overthrown any world leaders yet?"
Peter chuckled. "Nah she's saving that for after college. She wants to have the right qualifications and knowledge to do it as impactfully as possible."
"That's good to know. Is she gonna have t-shirts printed? Because I want one."
"No idea." Peter laughed again. "I'll be sure to ask her next time we meet to talk about world domination."
"You do that, kid."
Their conversation slowly turned to silence again, both content to just be in each other's presence.
For the rest of the day they drifted between bursts of soft conversation, when the pain in Tony's head would dull, or quiet companionship.
Eventually they drifted to sleep. Content in their shared solitude.
---
After asking FRIDAY to keep her updated on how Tony and Peter were throughout the day, she knew that they had eaten and were resting together.
So when Pepper arrived back at the tower after finishing her work and picking up Morgan, she had the little girl eat some dinner before they bathed and changed into pyjamas.
Pepper quietly opened the door to the comfy room and carefully helped Morgan get cuddled next to Peter. She pressed a kiss to both their heads before she lay on Tony's other side and made sure that they were all covered by the blanket.
She let herself melt into the mattresses and cushions, giving into her tiredness after the day's work and letting her stress fade as she joined her family in their sleep.
---
When Tony woke up later it was dark and his migraine was gone, only a slight tenderness leftover. He turned slightly only to find himself entangled in blankets and the limbs of his kids and wife. He shifted carefully to not wake them and wrapped his arm around Pepper.
He let himself drift back to sleep, comforted by his family safe and close to him.
He could rest now.

Memory Foam Mattresses - A Buyer's Guide
The first question we need to answer is - What is memory foam mattress? It is a cutting edge, an engineered form of visco-elastic PU foam. Authentic memory foam mattresses made from visco-elastic are made with millions and millions of open cells that are sphere-shaped.
The special design of these cells makes them responsive to both body pressure points and temperature. A mattress made from visco-elastic is thus able to contour itself to match the shape of your body, giving the most amount of support where it is needed.
Along with the support it offers, a memory mattress differs from standard mattress foams in that the open-cell design allows air to pass through the material freely, which helps keep the mattress and the person using it cool and prevents excessive sweating.
Memory foam mattress singapore have been very popular for a long time now across Europe and have been used by health authorities and institutes and in hospitals because of the way they support patients body's more effectively and thus prevent pressure points from occurring that often happens when patients have spent a long time in bed.
It has only been in recent years that the consumer market for visco-elastic foam mattresses has increased with customers taking note of the benefits that these mattresses have over standard spring based structures.
As consumer demand for this type of mattress has increased, so too is the number of different foam mattresses increased. The problem is that there is a wide variation in terms of quality, which means that customers have to take into consideration many vital factors before they can make the right decision as to which mattress is best for them.
What You Should Look For When You Are Purchasing A Foam Mattress
When you are looking to purchase a high-quality foam mattress there are some important factors and considerations that you should take into account.
The three most important ratings and measurements that you should take note of when understanding the specification of memory mattresses are the Firmness Rating, ILD Rating, and Density.
These three different criteria will determine the experience you have with a mattress and how well it will actually perform its job.
Let's take a closer look at the basic factors
The Size of The Mattress
As you may or may not know, it is a matter of fact that the majority of people spend around a 3rd of their life lying in bed. Interesting research has shown that a large percentage of people are spending more money on sofas than beds and mattresses.
This is different in Europe, were the most important purchase a person can make is considered to be their mattress. It makes sense that because we spend a long time on our beds and mattresses that whatever we decide to buy is just right.
After all, who does not want a restful, comfortable night's sleep which is directly connected to having a healthy mind and body?
With the above taken into consideration, it is important that you purchase a mattress as big as you can with regards to the size of your bedroom, bed, and budget.
The Suitability Of Your Current Bed For A Memory Foam Mattress
Most mattresses can be used on most bedsteads and bases, but some will help it perform better and feel more comfortable than others. For instance, if you have a bedstead or bed with a slatted wooden base, the recommendation is that the slats are not more than 2 to 3 inches apart.
The majority of foam mattresses on the market today are also suitable for box or divan sprung type of bed, but you have to keep in mind that the mattress does not need any extra support from the base. This means that just a stable and solid platform is the best foundation for the mattress.
Why There Is Confusion When Comparing Different Mattresses By Model And Manufacturer
It is generally thought that it is in the retailer's best interest to make it as hard as possible for you, the customer, to compare effectively different memory foam mattresses by their value for money and actual specification.
One way to make a reasonable comparison is to compare another brand's products with Tempur's own products, as they were the company that first introduced foam mattresses and are still a leader in that sector of the market.
Why The Depth Of A Mattress Is Important
Although the depth is important, the most important aspect of a memory foam mattress in terms of depth is how deep the actual foam layer is as this will determine how well it relieves pressure points, supports your body and provides you with a comfortable sleep.
Understanding The Density Of Memory Foam
The rating of the density of a foam mattress refers to the top layer of visco-elastic memory bed density, not the full mattress. The supporting base of any mattress that is truly memory foam uses impact-resistant or high resilience polyurethane foam.
It is important that you never mistake this for what is known as visco-elastic memory foam. The most important part and most costly to manufacture of any foam mattress, which makes it the vital component is the top visco-elastic foam layer.
Therefore, the density rating actually corresponds to how much visco-elastic memory form is present in the foam part of the mattress. This means that the lower the density rating, the lower the amount of raw material has actually been used to make the memory foam layer, which means that the air cavities or cells are much bigger.
The higher the density, the heavier the memory foam is which means that there will be more air cavities or cells and that they will be more tightly packed together and much smaller.
This means they are harder to wear down and will determine the life span of the mattress as well as the skeletal/muscular support it offers. Experts have stated and recommended that memory foam mattress that has a higher density rating of visco-elastic offer more support than mattresses with a lower density rating.
Whereas a high-quality mattress with a high-density rating will feel sumptuous and full-bodied, lower quality and density ratings will pale in comparison. It is worth noting, however, that this does not indicate how firm the memory bed will be.
The leading manufacturers of memory foam mattresses with high-density visco-elastic foam can and do change and alter how firm their mattresses are regardless of the density level.
This is important to keep in mind when purchasing foam because many manufacturers that produce low-density products, 50kg/m3 for instance, make the memory foam feel firmer to customers into thinking that their product has a higher density rating.
It is inevitable that mattresses with lower density rating's cell structure will wear down easier and faster and cause the memory bed to lose its shape very quickly.
A good rule of thumb is to look for companies that offer a very comprehensive and long warranty or guarantee, as many producers of foam with lower density will not offer much more than 12 months.
The actual density rating is worked out by the weight of the memory foam in cubic meters, which is why it is written as weight, for example, 85kg/m3.
If you are not as familiar with modern measurements and prefer imperial measurements, it is basically the same calculation by weighing a cube of memory foam measure 1 foot each way. Imperially, the density is displayed in pounds, for example, 5.3lbs.
Understanding How Firm Memory Foam Will Actually Feel
In most cases, the best way you have of understanding of how firm memory foam will feel is by looking at the manufacturers' own rating. Most use terms such as soft, medium and firm.
The main issue with this is that mattress manufacturers do not need to follow a certain guide or test of firmness so that all mattresses can be compared against one another.
This is a problem when trying to understand the differences between memory foam products as to how firm or soft foam feels to one person will be different from how it feels for another person.
As we all have different preferences of comfort, it is important that we don't rely solely on the manufacturer's rating of the firmness, but look at the ILD to understand how soft or hard the mattress will feel.

hair of silver, heart of gold
i love my grandmother more than anyone. she’s my mom’s mom, long winded, fussy, and the best cook i know. i think even gordon ramsay couldn’t say one thing bad about the food she made.
i used to see her only twice a year - june and december during the school holidays. why? because she lived in malaysia, a 6 hour bus ride away from singapore. it wasn’t the ideal situation, but it was enough for me.
when my grandfather passed away in 2013, i stopped sleeping on the sofa whenever my family would go to visit. i’d sleep in her room, on my grandfather’s old mattress, and before we slept, she’d talk to me about anything and everything.
even though my cantonese wasn’t the most fluent, she would be patient, letting me fumble and stammer as i told her about my favourite pink dress, the new pair of shoes i bought, my dad’s birthday cake flavour, the colour of the sky during the bus ride over.
i’d tell her i loved the way she stir fried potatoes. and how her steamed mushrooms were wonderful. she’d laugh humbly when i told her i could drink her pork rib soup for the rest of my life. she’d playfully scold me when i told her i only eat vegetables when she cooks them. and i asked her for recipes. how she could fry an egg and it would taste better than a wagyu rib eye steak.
“lei hoy sum mou?” - are you happy? in cantonese.
i was a little confused when she changed the topic, especially in the middle of me praising her pan fried sliced beef.
“hou hoy sum!” - really happy! in cantonese.
and she said something that made me cry.
she told me that there was nothing special about the oil she used or the way she marinated the pork. there was nothing cool about her dented saucepan or the old chopsticks she always used.
she told me that every time i sat at the table and ate huge bites of her food, it made her happy. it made her happy that i was calling her a celebrity chef. it made her happy that i was home with her.
it made her happy when she saw me happy.
and that’s the thing about grandmothers, you know? that’s the thing about them. they wake up at 5am to marinate chicken because they know you like strong flavours. they buy extra potatoes because they know you can eat more. they boil barley and herbal teas because they know you’re going to get heaty after eating so much.
this was her a few years ago. the dented saucepan collects dust in a cabinet. the vegetable oil has been replaced by some boring, healthy option i don’t care about. the 5am wake up alarms aren’t to soak mushrooms in water, they’re for her to take meds.
but it’s okay. i love her. i love her even though she’s too tired to talk to me at night. she tells me good night anyway, and she tells me she hopes i’m happy.
i’m happy.
