...i dont think i've ever seen a game calculate your play time by what the date/time is since the last save.
I fixed my system clock in the middle of playing bc i forgot i had been outbreak resetting in pokemon & it displayed my play time as -17 hours
So i tested and yeah. Putting it back a whole year did this lol.
#is this for like. meta lore reasons. or is it just a really weird way to calculate that for no reason. i cannot tell.#i thought it was just tracking time that the console was in sleep mode on my first playthrough????#bc i had just replayed digimon cyber slueth recently which also did that. but no it was just 139 hours between when i started and finished.#cool. did you know the switch has time limits of 2000 and 2060?#also if you go even farther backwards the negative numbers clip into the text#but going forward the numbers are spaced correctly! even tho i jumped all the way to 2060#fascinating! and a little funny in the context of the game!#*new creative post tag here*#can you tell i'm procrastinating by typing all this. sigh. i either have to keep playing or get up and do things.#i refuse to look up the stuff that i missed tho. i will see that myself. eventually. first rat cage clean tho.
