Type: Null really is a neat concept/design for what is ultimately a game for children. Frankensteined out of unrecognizable mismatched pieces with a face of bolted in steel, a biomechanical creation constructed in the image of god and subsequently sealed away in fear of the power that was Given to it. it is not given the basic respect of a name and is labeled in a way to be forgotten. And the best part is it evolves and is called silver buddy because it is my friend :-)

#It’s very gen 1 as a concept #For the most part it’s not one of my favorite pokemon but also it is just cool to think about! As well as its place in the story of SM

#wip #yapping below #1. sinnohtrio group pic where nothing bad has happened yet... dedicated sinnoh post coming soon #2. personalizing dawn and lyra's togekisses with different coloring and markings based on region. there's lyra's omelette :]#3. timeskip red and leaf except it's just pikachu #4. top left is all the assets i made for my cs final project! a little cherrim themed browser game #then there's sprites for my champion dawn; cool concept methinks but it's definitely a work in progress. peep the giratina hairclips #some vaugely lugia/ho-oh inspired protag ideas for a hgss sequel #anddd a bunch of background doodles. goldenrod flower shop and a very saturated mt. silver #in timeskip there shall be a proper town at mt. silver's base to officially bridge kanto and johto (and make lyra's work commute easier)#5-7 is me spitballing ideas abt pokemon biology #dratini & dragonair are forever sea snakes to me!!! though i do enjoy the amphibian interpretations #also i didn't know dragonite island was already a thing from pokeani... rip wyverse dragon master lore #i think crobat looks goofy no matter how you stylize it. silver and his big bumbling bat that insists on grooming its trainer. so unserious #there's a togekiss page too but then i remembered egg groups are a thing so i'm revising parts of it #i spent so long trying to come up with a reasonable wing-to-body ratio for togekiss and crobat. literally useless when dragonite can #apparently fly around the globe in 16 hours. are you Kidding me. dragons weren't even merging with jet planes until gen 3.#OK that is all. sorry for the lack of uploads wah #i'm like a ferret hoarding all my doodles until the quantity > quality lever switches in my brain to give the 👍 to post #i did made a spam blog but who knows if i'll actually post on there lol! probably for non-pkmn related stuff

#i keep going back nad just typing on this when im watching lectures LMAO i don't even necessarily agree with myself anymore on all of it #it is 2024 and i have been thinking about hardenshipping all month. it is 2014 and i h #i can't even hide behind nostalgia though i played alpha sapphire early 2022 LOL this is just who i am #honestly though i consider my parents not getting me a copy of oras when i was a kid to be some kind of real tragedy can you imagine if i'd #had a 7 year head start. i mean i didn't have a 3ds until 2016 but at the time i would have literally sold my kidney to play oras #i love hoenn a lot though just bc as a kid most of the pokemon anime i would watch was dvds from the library cause i didn't have cable #so it was just the gen 1-4 seasons and i looooooved the gen 3 ones and the gen 3 movies soo much destiny deoxys was on repeat me and my #brother watched it like once a week i still love that movie. so i do have a lot of hoenn nostalgia. I LOVE HOENN. in all its square majesty #anyways oras are just such good games man so fucking good like they have actual spirit like it is not very often that i feel genuine wonder #anymore playing pokemon games but every time u use the eon flute to fly around and fully exploring sea mauville the first time earlier this #playthrough ohhh it does give me that feeling of like holy shit im playing pokemon pokemon is so cool i love pokemon #ahhh video james. long ass tags

The existence of mega Mewtwo annoys me lore wise

#so the lore of mega evolution is sketchy at best to begin with #because they kinda contradict it even within the same gen #but how the heck does mewtwo have a mega if it was made within the last 100 years and the kalos legendaries had been gone for like 800??#some of the sv paradox pokemon looking like the megas can make it seem like megas are very similar to primal reversion which is cool #that makes sense BUT THEN HOW DOES MEWTWO HAVE NOT ONE BUT TWO MEGAS #did mew used to look like mewtwo in the past is that why mewtwo turned out the way it did in the first place?!#pokemon #I think this is why they stopped putting the new gimmick into remakes #though this seems like a problem born from gen 1 favouritism #alternatively the mega Mewtwo stones are artificial and humans made those #but that makes me want to see more man made megas

Hisuian Zoroark is one of the sickest designs in pokemon, but the model on that bloke is FUCKED. It's really bad. If they bother to port her over to other games, you know they ain't changing that model, either, 'cept to make the textures paler & duller.

I continue to despise pokemon, despite being a pokemon fan, I fucken guess. At this point, I gotta go all in on summat else, like Cassette beasts.

#gale chatter #i have MINOR problems with the beasts but they are nothing + I ain't abt to be negative abt it online #it's a good game made by good people my complaints are so tiny you NEED to play it #if you like me wish pokemon would do more fun interesting things or miss spritework in ur pokemon #u need to try cassette beasts. I'll admit i haven't beaten it but what I've seen in the story is INSANE #also i generally try not to talk smack about indie games it just ain't right. biggest ip on the planet‚ however‚#i can talk shit about pokemon all damn day.#the fucking way they keep using the same models the most minimal of animations & the pokemon keep getting pale as shit #to the point that pokemon like pichu are fucken impossible to tell from their shiny (slightly paler pichu)#the way that the designs are done in 2D & designed in it but then when it comes time to model they just. lose all charm #you get designs that were obviously not intended to have full 360 turnabouts (h. zoroark & emboar)#then you get deisgns that lose all their charm when modeled. in example -- look at the boltund model next to the art.#it's. bad. those are different animals. i feel NOTHING for the boltund model. it has no heart nor care in it just a means to an end #the gameplay never changes the sories have ALWAYS been lackluster they introduce cool ideas every other gen & ABANDON THEM #SO YOU HAVE A REASON TO BUY THE NEXT ONE BC IT HAS A NEW IDEA. MEGA EVOS WHAT'S THAT? DYNAMAX NOW.#the way they slice up the games to have exclusives SPECIFICALLY to piecemeal them back to you in 2 different games #so you either need to buy both (THAT IS 120 DOLLARS) or pay for online + have a friend. it has always been predatory.#it's. BAD.#& let's not pretend that 1/2 the lazy work is because the workers HAVE to be lazy. they pump these games out so fast that #nobody has time to write & revise & rewrite the stories which is fucking GLARING when you play sword or violet #in violet it is blatantly obvious they had the end planned first & then made up the rest as they went but had a hard time #connecting it back to the end so there's a noteable rush in the game & it sucks also if you call that game nonlinear i will attack you #IT ISN'T. IT IS DESIGNED SO THAT YOU NEED. TO GO IN A SPECIFIC ORDER. BECAUSE OF THE LEVELS #otherwise you'll hit a lvl 60 gym at lvl 40 then have to go back to fight the lvl 40 gym at lvl 70 #the studio rushes their workers & it results in sloppy implimentation of halfbaked mechanics & poor deisgns & writing #i pray that if there is a god that nintendo actually does slow down on these shits i would like the games my little cousins play #to not be such fucken rushed & undercooked hot garbage. fuck you

My most controversial video game opinion is that Generation 5 of pokemon was the best generation by far, and every pokemon game after Black and White 2 has gone down in quality.

No, you cannot convince me otherwise. Don't even try. There has yet to be a pokemon game full of as much content, story, and difficulty as Gen 5.
