Slow roasted Jacobs Ladder. Best part of working from home is having more time to prepare and cook food, today I’m cooking a Jacobs ladder . After sitting in the garden cooking for eight hours in the sun drinking beer the brisket joint is finally ready to eat. This was my first time cooking a low and slow brisket joint on the bbq. Weekend slow roasted brisket joint I’m just marinated the brisket joint ready for cooking on Sunday. The plan is a long slow cook, carefully tending to the fire and checking the meat while sipping cold beer in the sun. The marinade so far consists of a light rub all over of wholegrain mustard, then a coating of mixed oiled and vinegar including , olive oil , toasted sesame oil, and Ocado oil,balsamic vinegar and cider vinegar. I put the brisket in the Webber 5 hours ago. After 3 hours of cooking the brisket got to 150f and we hit the stall. It’s been wrapped in tinfoil for the last 2 hours and is now at 194f I’ve put it back on the rack for a final smoke.
