it's about GODDAMN TME Devsisters!

this was mostly me fiddling with the Text to Speech in Capcut and playing around with text styles for deaf/HoH viewers to distinguish who's talking with a sprinkling of venting my feelings over Devsisters releasing two other beast cookies before Shadow Milk who was the first one introduced. I'm glad the only other Beast Cookie I actually have interest in (Burning Spice, my buff beloved) got released as it confirmed their exact appearance and voice, but after him and Shadow Milk I don't particularly care about the others. That's likely to change when the final two release (whenever that may be) but presently and even when all the beasts were shown in that first lore vid on them that talked of their fall, I only REALLY cared about Burning Spice (for their looks) and later Shadow Milk (for their kooky yet dangerous vibes) when he debuted as a story enemy.

now that it's been a minute since the CRK Immortal Cheese update, can we all agree that Burning Spice Cookie is an unhinged freak?

don't get it twisted, I still love this deranged monster just...

I was truly unprepared for how much of a freak he is and just how successfully he's living up to Mystic Flour's precedent of being shockingly horrifying

Cookie Run: Kingdom - Matcha Cookie Spoilers/Theory

time to spill the tea on some new content and drink deep spoiler fueled theory cider

so Dark Enchantress created Matcha Cookie, and either deliberately left something out or forgot something during the process. Thus making Matcha Cookie flawed from "birth" (she knows it and can't help it, and gets upset when the topic of her "missing ingredient" gets brought up) and feels kinship with other living dough experiments that are considered failures, this would explain a bit of their Ovenbreak connection with Matcha regarding DE as family.

It is also apparent that Matcha Cookie dislikes(even hates) being disregarded and dismissed from her interactions with everyone in the story, to the point of wanting to overthrow her "master" and the other Cookies of Darkness as top dog of evil. Matcha wants to outdo them, wants to be better than them, stronger than them, and make them mad or despairing as a result.

Matcha Cookie knows she's a "mistake" and is angry that her maker cannot "love" her or take responsibility for the life she's made, and resents feeling "tossed aside" and that resentment is driving Matcha to malice

she's the Starscream to Dark Enchantresses' Megatron, as well as the Monster to Dark Enchantresses' Dr. Frankenstein.

she's an enemy of the Cookies of Darkness within their ranks, but she is not an ally of the Cookie Kingdom either

something else to consider; when the Beast Cookies return to the world, Dark Enchantress intends to steal their power for herself and further her goals

Shadow Milk Cookie praised her a bit in his portion of story, calling DE wise for thinking the Beasts needed to be freed to "restore the world" (or some such), but this is the Beast of Deceit we're talking about.

though Shadow Milk Cookie was too full of themselves to consider White Lily would choose the secret third option of healing the sealing tree (vanquishing Shadow Milk AND saving her friends in one move) I would find it more interesting if, when Dark Enchantress tries to steal the Beasts powers, one of them (likely Shadow Milk) pulls a "No U" Uno Reverse and backstabs the backstabber. Like, Shadow Milk would be playing along and make it seem like he'd fallen for it but then pulls a; "LOL I already knew you would try, BITCH. Did you F*KING FORGET WHO I AM? what part of BEAST OF DECIET confused you?!" and then something else causes the Beast Cookies to still be weaker than their full power which makes them balanced for gameplay

whether Dark Enchantress successfully steals the Beast's power or if the Beast Cookies pull a fast one and overpower Dark Enchantress so she fails remains to be seen.

we haven't even seen what Wind Archer Cookie has been up to since that one update when they left the Dessert Forest and Millennial Tree Cookie to investigate Beast Yeast.

I head-cannoned Keith David as Burning Spice Cookie's possible VA before he got released, and this is quite possibly my favorite piece of fan content that I've made exploring that possibility for him (audio from Princess Mononoke), also the shipping of Clotted Cream and Wildberry was absolutely inspired by Moonpriestess575 on BlueSky (I don't know if they have a Tumblr) because their Wild/Clotted content is mega cute

this is also a test as to whether or not the reach of Japanese Copyright Lawyers extends here, and therefore will BITE ME IN THE ASS for making this

I oft believe myself to have bad gatcha luck with how many times I've had to rely on the good graces of hard pity, so when THIS happened I was on a similar or greater level of joyously stunned as when I got Capsaicin and Pitaya Dragon without grinding for their soul stones.

GREAT NEWS F2P PEOPLE, I tested this team comp at it's level w/beastcuts and average lvl 9 toppings and completed Beast-Yeast 1-1 through 1-4 without anyone dying. THE TRICK: Captain Caviar AND Financier have their magic candy, AT BASE LEVEL.

so yeah; toppings lvl 9 and up, everycookie at lvl 50 or up for magic candy, magic candy just created, everycookie's skill leveled up appropriately, AND LASTLY the skill activation rotation; Fettuccini first, then Snap, then Rebel, then Financier, and lastly Captain, after that I set it to auto and watched the carnage.

if you don't have Rebel (if you deliberately skipped him you're a fool) I'm not sure who you can replace him with, probably someone who can either clog the field with summons and strike hard or who's at least a bit durable that can help keep the enemies away from Captain Caviar

I was lamenting so badly that I was gonna not complete the White Lily missions because of that DUMB Beastcut one, BUT NOW... I can do it... I. CAN. GRIND. WITH. TIME TURNERS!!!
