Storm Warning (Black Pearl Cookie)
Yes, this is the sequel to Even More Heartbreak. Enjoy!
“Alright, take care of yourself, Y/N Cookie! Do be careful, the weather isn’t looking nice lately!”
You bided farewell to the shopkeeper as you exited, giving them a smile as you did so. The more you walked however, that smile slowly started to fade into a frown as you looked down at the ground, not wanting to look up at the brewing grey clouds forming at the sky.
You kept telling yourself that it was only natural that days without a single cloud in the sky could only mean the opposite when came time for a downpour, it was what you wanted to believe, because it meant having to consider other..unnatural options for this weather.
You didn’t want to dwell on it much further, you wanted to prep something nice for your beloved today, Seaweed Cookie. A chance meeting at the mud flats was all it took for the both of you to hit it off, she was able to fix what was once broken for you. She was the one to be there for you at your lowest, in her own odd way, but you treasured it nonetheless! The thought of her brought the smile back onto your face…
*CRASH!*
The sudden roar of thunder spooked you enough to make you want to jump! The shopkeeper wasn’t kidding about the weather as you make a dash to your home! You looked up at the sky and could see the clouds gathering on mass as you ran. That was all the confirmation you needed, no need to even look at the sea. Never at the sea…
Especially when the faint sound of crying can be heard…
———————————————————————
It was enough to practically have you bust down your door and close it behind you with the lock. It wouldn’t have done anything in actuality, but whatever amount of security was good enough for you. You had to quickly put down your items as you did your best to remain out of sight.
The sound of her crying was your first and only warning to hide. You didn’t know how, but the mermaid had somehow learned of your home city and has stuck around since. You feared what she would do if she had found you, what she would do to the Lower City, it was only a matter of time-
The sound of your door knocking made you jump again for today. It would snap you out of your thoughts, You couldn’t hear any more crying, making you confident enough to get up and head for the door.
Tumblr media
“Happy to see you don’t keep a lady waiting, especially in weather like this..”
You mentally breathe a sigh of relief to see that it was Seaweed Cookie. You gladly let her in as you prepared a nice dinner between the two of you.
Seaweed talks about her routine of maintaining the mudflats, sometimes delving into this one time a cookie had showed disrespect by stomping around in it! How rude!
She then looks outside to see the rain coming in, taking interest in how hard the droplets were coming down onto the window.
“The weather seems particularly angry, it hasn’t let up for the past few days. It’s making the mud loose, washing away into the sea. Oh those who had been buried in there, their remains forever lost to sea..”
You had to hide how you winced when she stated that, having your grave being washed away into the sea. It was clearly not how any of those cookies would’ve wanted..
You held Seaweed Cookie’s hand tight, letting her know that you’d help her to make sure the mud remained stable enough to weather through the rain. Seaweed’s mouth curled up into a noticeable smile.
“Coming to my rescue as always, my hero~ Hehe…that’s always what I love about you~ I’ll be sure to give my hero a very nice reward for their troubles..”
She leaned towards you to kiss you on your cheek, something that you couldn’t help but blush madly about. She giggled at your flustered state, you were simply too cute for her to resist~
The storm only seemed to grow worse from there…
———————————————————————
You had Seaweed Cookie stay over for the night, the rain was just pouring down too hard for her to walk home. You had situated yourself in your living room with a blanket over you, your lamp illuminating the room.
The sounds of heavy rain pattering your window serving as background noise, interrupted with occasional lightning and thunder. It oddly lulled you to sleep as you close your eyes…
Tumblr media
Only to open them quickly as you stood up, you were no longer on a bed, but in a boat. You got up as you frantically looked all around you, your house nowhere in sight. The Lower City itself was no longer anywhere…just open sea…
Sniff….sob…..sob
The sounds of crying was heard…
…but it sounded more..genuine, as if the cookie was really crying tears of sorrow…
You looked around you again, this time being able to spot something, or someone, resting on a rock only a fair distance away. She looked like…but she was different in appearance. As if…
Tumblr media
You wanted to approach, to see if you can help the mercookie in any way…but…this familiar feeling to stay back was also present. Why…? This only made you feel more conflicted…
A creak from your boat had decided for you. The mercookie’s head shot up from her arms and turned to you, tears staining her cheeks.
You…asked if she was okay.
“I-I’m okay. It’s just….my heart, it hurts…”
You gently take her hand into yours, hoping your assistance could help her. You tell her that she isn’t alone…
“You mean that?”
“You won’t…betray me? My heart can’t handle another blow, I already too many things at once…”
You understand that you were a stranger to her, that you couldn’t be fully trusted, butyou still wanted to help. The mercookie spoke softly to you, still sniffling.
“Do you what it’s like..? To have someone you hold dear destroy everything you had thought of them as? To have your heart crumble bit by bit?”
You…told her that this feeling was…familiar to you, something that catches her attention as she looks at you.
You had..wished to dedicate your heart and love to a cookie you wanted to meet for months. You were overjoyed when you got to see her at last, you had proclaimed your love for her…only, she didn’t feel the same at all. Even tossed everything you gave her back at you…you were destroyed…
Tumblr media
“You…”
However, you got back up. You kept moving on, with help from others. Even if the cookie you once cared for tossed you aside, you held no real malice towards her. You understood and just…let her go.
The sounds of crying halted your speaking, as the mercookie clutched your hand tightly.
“Y/N Cookie. I’m…I’m so sorry…”
You tell her it was okay, you had learned to live with it-
“N-no. I really do mean it…I’m sorry, Y/N Cookie…”
Again, you told her…wait…you didn’t remember giving your name to her…
“I was scared. I was afraid of being hurt again. After what he did…but I should’ve seen you as different than him…”
“You were better than him…”
She clutched your hand tighter.
That feeling of dread returned in full force as you looked at her, trying to remain calm. Only to be meet with that shadowed stare right back at you..
Tumblr media
“To think we’ve could’ve been together, you and I…”
“I was a fool to push you away…”
“But I promise to change that. I won’t let you go again. To love you with all of my being…..”
“Let us join in the Sea together…”
You had enough and broke free from her hold as you paddled away with your hands, rain started to patter on you.
The sound of crying returned…
Sniff…sob…sob…
…as it slowly turned to giggling…
“Sob…hehe….hehe…”
….then into laughter….
“Hehe…AHAHAHAHAHA!”
You turned around and your heart had never been struck with so much fear…
Tumblr media
Black. Pearl. Cookie.
“AHAHAHAHAHA! You think you can escape me AGAIN?! HOW ADORABLE!”
“And when that wretched, laughable waste of life is reduced to nothing, it will just be me and you again~”
Your hands turned soggy the faster you paddled with them, not caring if they were reduced to soggy stumps. You needed to get away.
You felt your arms being grabbed as you yelped out, it looked like more sea cookies had joined you as they held your arms close to them, two at each side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To your left, mercookies of crimson and purple. To the right, a jellyfish and a mercookie of blue.
They were pale and weak-looking, as if they haven’t nourishment in days, with deranged eyes staring deep into yours. They all spoke in unison.
“Please…stay with us. Stay. Stay. Stay.”
The laughing behind you grew louder and louder as you frantically tried to pull free.
The last thing you saw as you turned around was Black Pearl Cookie rushing towards you in the water.
“LET US FALL INTO THE DEEPEST OF OCEAN ABYSSES TOGETHER!!
———————————————————————
The crash of lightning made you spring up from your couch with a loud yelp as you held your chest tightly, trying to breathe.
“Are you okay?!”
Seaweed Cookie came to your side, holding you tightly as you tried to calm down your breathing. It took a while but you’ve managed to settle down, thanking Seaweed Cookie as you kissed her cheek.
You allowed her to return to your room, as you went to collect your thoughts in your kitchen, wishing that it was just a bizarre dream.
Who was that familiar cookie?
What was she talking about with a cookie she had known?
Who were those mercookies?
It felt way too much unlike a dream.
….but you prayed that it was.
You could hear giggling out in the distance.
You turned to your window into the morning rain.
White, pinprick eyes far into the ocean stared right back at you as the giggling turned into laughter. The heavy rain doing little to muffle it out.
She…had found you.

──────.𖥔 ݁ ˖˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ──────
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Eclair has a bit of a habit of trying to impress you, through many means. Typically this came in the form of doing small favors for you, or making sure you were looking while he completed a task
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He loved reading to you. Old books and relics carried many tales, all of which he'd gladly narrate to you while you're tucked comfortably under his arm, his head leaning against yours
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "You know you're my dearest treasure, right, my darling?"
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Acts very domestic around you, always cleaning up for you and fussing when it comes to keeping up with your work. He tends to nag a bit, but he'll let it slide if you promise to get your work done
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Huge fan of words of affirmation, any compliment you give him will have him bashfully responding with gratitude while also denying if you point out the warmth that comes to his face from it
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Can seem like a bit of a worry wart at times, frequently checks in on you to make sure you're doing alright. If you get sick he frets over you the whole time and constantly wants updates
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He has quite a bit of favoritism towards you. If anyone touches a relic recklessly, they get a lecture that feels like it lasts forever, but you're allowed to go about his office as you please and he won't even bat an eye
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Eclair prioritizes your comfort above all else, you almost don't have to want for anything with him around. Though you have to remind him to take it easy as well. He always seems to sink into the comfort of your presence, a well-placed cheek kiss or nuzzle will make him forget all his stress, even for just a moment

It all happened so suddenly..
Just as Shadow Milk Cookie flew towards Pure Vanilla Cookie, he broke the soul jam that was once his, breaking the bond that the two once had.
A loud and feral growl emitted from Shadow Milk Cookie, his face having a permanent scrowl on it, his sharp teeth grinding together in unimaginable frustration.
The entire spire had been engulfed in a bright golden glow, causing all of the cookies from within to cover their eyes from the harsh light.
The golden light surged outward, radiating from Pure Vanilla Cookie’s very core.
It was overwhelming, causing Shadow Milk Cookie to snarl, stumbling mid-air as the energy seared through him, a sensation both foreign and infuriating.
“ No. . no, no, no! ” he bellowed, his hands flexing as if he could grasp the light and crush it between the pads of the dough.
But it was too late. The bond had shattered. The hold he had over Pure Vanilla’s soul jam was gone, and with it, the last remnants of control he had clung to.
Shadow Milk’s irritated and enraged expression automatically dropped down into one of pure awe when his had finally vision adjusted, the golden light dimming down just so much that he could now take in the form of the cookie in front of him.
Pure Vanilla Cookie stood at the center of the light, his form no longer fragile, no longer trembling beneath the weight of deception and doubt.
His robes, once dulled by shadow and despair, now shimmered with an ethereal glow, each fold of fabric now moving like liquid gold.
His flower staff, the very emblem of his power, pulsed with newfound brilliance. The gemstone that used to have blue eyes decorating it now was replaced by a bright sun that swirled in its place.
The Ancient Cookie's once short hair had somehow managed to get longer during transformation, his once short blone locks grew longer and went down to his back, having its own sense of radiance as it flowed in the still air.
Shadow Milk Cookie could only stare.
For a moment, his rage had been stripped away, leaving nothing but raw, unfiltered awe.
He had become quite fond of the symbol of truth, the one who carries the other half of his soul jam like it’s his. Hell, he even managed to corrupt his soul jam himself.
But, now, he looked untouchable.
The golden light around him was not the gentle warmth of a flickering candle nor the delicate shimmer of morning’s first light. No, this was something far more radiant, something that demanded to be seen, to be felt. It was blinding and overwhelming, and yet Shadow Milk Cookie could not look away.
His fingers twitched, instinct begging him to reach forward, to grasp at the strands of light curling around Pure Vanilla’s form, as if doing so would confirm that this was real—that he was real. But he did not move.
He could not. Pure Vanilla Cookie’s golden eyes met his, and Shadow Milk Cookie felt his breath catch in his throat.
There was no fear there. No hesitation. No remnants of the broken, helpless thing he had tormented in the abyss.
This was something new. Something stronger.
Shadow Milk Cookie swallowed hard, his mouth suddenly dry. This wasn’t supposed to happen. This wasn’t supposed to happen.
“ You. . . ” His voice came out quieter than he intended, almost breathless. The eyes within his hair darted wildly, each one absorbing the golden glow that surrounded Pure Vanilla Cookie.
His own body betrayed him—his gaze softened, his claws flexing—caught between instinctive rage and something far more unsettling.
This wasn’t the Pure Vanilla Cookie he had spent so long tormenting, unraveling thread by delicate thread within his web of lies.
This wasn’t the fragile thing he had dragged into the Dark Side of the Moon with him inside of his soul jam, the one who trembled beneath his whispers, who questioned his own truth.
This was something new. Something stronger.
And it set his very being alight with frustration.
“ You. . Traitor! ” he hissed, his voice gaining back some of its usual venom, though it wavered at the edges. He forced himself forward, inching closer despite the way his own shadows recoiled from the oppressive warmth.
“ You liar! You little . .! ” The Beast Cookie couldn’t even speak due to how infuriated he was with Pure Vanilla, being extremely close to pulling at his hair just to calm himself down.
The words felt wrong the moment they left his lips, but he refused to take them back.
Pure Vanilla Cookie simply watched him, his golden gaze unreadable, unwavering. His presence did not press down on Shadow Milk Cookie with hostility, nor did it carry the weight of vengeance.
It was simply there —radiant, undeniable, a truth that could not be twisted.
Shadow Milk Cookie’s breath quickened, his hair rising even more as if grasping for something, anything to latch onto.
He knew he should strike. Should lunge, should do something before this feeling swallowed him whole.
The longer he stood there, staring into the light, the harder it became to convince himself to move.
Because in that moment, despite everything—despite the rage, the bitterness. . he could not deny the thought that whispered throughout the very edges of his mind.
' He’s beautiful. '
That realization left him more breathless than the light ever could.
Shadow Milk Cookie didn’t even realize that his hair had flattened back out, the eyes now looking less strained from what they had been a minute ago.
The tension in his body had loosened, just enough for doubt to slip through the cracks.
For the first time, he wasn’t baring his teeth in anger. Wasn’t laughing in mockery. Wasn’t seething with venomous and deceiving words ready to spill from his lips.
He was just watching.
Pure Vanilla Cookie still stood in the center of the golden light, unshaken, unyielding. It should have made him furious—should have stoked the fire in his chest, should have sent him lunging forward with his claws bared, ready to strike at the Ancient Cookie for even thinking of trying to trick him like this again. And yet . .
He felt small beneath that glow. Shadow Milk let out a growl of some sort, muttering something under his breath when he realized what he was doing, even what he was thinking about, was extremely and utterly dumb.
His stance shifted, causing Pure Vanilla to tilt his head slightly, watching him with that same unwavering calm.
The movement was subtle, but Shadow Milk Cookie felt it—felt the way the Ancient’s golden gaze followed him, like he was truly seeing him. Not as an enemy. Not as a shadow of his former self. But as. . something else.
That realization made his jaw tighten.
His fingers twitched, itching to lash out, to reclaim some sense of control. But every time he tried to summon his anger—to remind himself why he was here, why he hated Pure Vanilla Cookie, his mind kept dragging him back to that moment.
The moment his vision adjusted, when the golden light had finally settled, and he had seen Pure Vanilla in his awakened form.
From that exact moment, he had thought — no, realized — how beautiful he was.
Shadow Milk let out a low growl, dragging a clawed hand down his face as if that would somehow scrub the thought from his mind.
Pure Vanilla, who had been standing in front of him for over a couple minutes, raised an eyebrow, his stance still relaxed while he waited for the Beast of Deceit’s next move.
Not long after, Shadow Milk Cookie grabbed hold of his hair, pulling at the tendrils in irritation as he hovered higher above the ground, his eyes clenched shut as he let out a roar, one that didn’t sound like any noise he had made in front of Pure Vanilla before.
His eyes grew wide when he opened them, glaring down at the Ancient Cookie, grinding his teeth together as he felt his hair rise in his grasp.
“ I WILL DESTROY YOU!! “
Pure Vanilla Cookie did not flinch, holding his staff protectively in front of him.
The golden light surrounding him flickered in response to the sheer force of Shadow Milk Cookie’s roar, but it did not wane. It did not cower, did not yield. It remained just as steady as it was when he first changed into this new form.
Shadow Milk Cookie’s breath was ragged, his chest rising and falling with the weight of his fury. His grip on his own hair tightened, sharp claws trembling against the strands that writhed in response to his boiling frustration.
The Beast of Deceit flew forward, his sharp teeth on full display as he bum-rushed the cookie in front of him, only for a gust of white light to hit his form.
Tumblr media
Pure Vanilla stood tall, letting out a breath after the fight that had shaken the very foundations of the spire.
The golden glow around him slowly softened, no longer a blinding radiance but a gentle warmth that pulsed with the steady rhythm of his breath.
Shadow Milk Cookie lay a short distance away, his body trembled with every breath, his vision blurred at the edges from exhaustion, frustration, and something else he refused to name. His stance, once full of confidence, now wavered.
His entire form felt heavy, as though the very light that had repelled him now pressed down on his shoulders, suffocating yet strangely. . . grounding.
The blue aura that surrounded his form clung to his dough, flickering erratically, twisting and writhing as if they were alive, uncertain whether to solidify or melt into the ground.
His hair, once flowing with grace, now lay tangled and erratic, the eyes within it blinking unevenly—some sluggish, some squeezing shut as if recoiling from the radiance before them.
Thick, inky tendrils curled and frayed at the ends, dripping black goop onto the stone floor beneath him.
The puddles pulsed, shifting with his ragged breathing, as though his very essence, his being, was struggling to hold itself together.
Yet his grip on his staff remained ironclad. His claws dug into it, pressing down so hard that cracks threatened to form along its surface.
Even as his strength wavered, even as his mind teetered on the edge of something he couldn't fully comprehend, his grip did not loosen. Because if he let go—
If he let go, then what would be left of him?
His glare burned into Pure Vanilla, but it lacked the same raw hatred it had carried before. His breathing was uneven, chest rising and falling in sharp, ragged bursts.
He was struggling—not just physically, but internally, fighting against something that had rooted itself deep inside him.
Something that had started the moment he saw that light.
The warmth in Pure Vanilla’s gaze did not waver. He simply stood there, watching, waiting.
Shadow Milk’s lips curled in frustration, his teeth grinding together so hard it hurt. His claws flexed against the staff, his body twitching as if debating whether to attack or retreat.
But he did neither. His body ached, his dough felt heavy, and the remnants of the attacks still lingered in his chest—not painful, not burning, but warm. Rather to warm for the Beast Cookie's liking.
Pure Vanilla took a cautious step forward. His staff, still pulsing with golden energy, hovered at his side. He did not lower his guard, but there was no malice in his stance.
Shadow Milk let out a shuddering breath, his lips parting as if to speak, but no words came out.
Pure Vanilla stopped just a few steps away, his golden eyes steady as they met Shadow Milk’s own.
“ It’s over, Shadow Milk Cookie. . ” he said, voice as calm as ever.
The snarl that came from the Beast’s throat was low, rumbling from deep within his chest. His grip on his staff tightened until his claws dug into the smooth surface, the cracks along it splintering further.
The sheer patience in Pure Vanilla’s voice made his insides twist—not with rage, not with hatred, but something deeper, something he didn’t dare name.
His entire form trembled, his shadows writhing at his feet, curling around his legs like restless serpents. His hair, still disheveled and erratic, twitched with irritation, the blinking eyes within them narrowing.
Even now, even as his body threatened to collapse beneath the weight of exhaustion, of that light, he couldn’t stand it. Couldn’t stand how Pure Vanilla still looked at him without fear.
Like he was something worth reaching out to.
Shadow Milk’s jaw clenched, his fangs bared as he forced himself to his full height, his form shaking as he stood. Even as his body protested, even as his breath came in uneven bursts, he refused to let himself look small.
His voice came out rough, edged with something unsteady. “ D-Don’t talk to me like that. . ”
Pure Vanilla’s expression remained unchanged. “ Like what exactly? ”
“ Like— ” Shadow Milk’s breath hitched, his fingers twitching against his staff, his hair swaying and sharpening, the goop from them now dripping down onto his bodysuit, causing the cookie to tense at the odd texture that felt foreign to him.
His glare sharpened, but it wasn’t as steady as before. “ Like I need your pity . ”
Pure Vanilla exhaled softly. “ It’s not pity. ”
Shadow Milk’s entire body tensed. His mind screamed at him to lunge, to lash out, to do something —but he was still frozen in place. His body wouldn’t move, wouldn’t listen, and it infuriated him. His own instincts, the ones that had kept him fighting for so long, were failing him now.
The golden glow around Pure Vanilla hadn’t faded, but it was softer now, pulsing gently like a heartbeat. It wasn’t blinding anymore. It wasn’t overwhelming. Shadow Milk began to laugh softly before it crescendoed into something that sounded more hysterical than what his laughs normally sounded like.
His laughter echoed through the spire, raw and jagged. His shoulders shook, his fingers twitching against his staff as his body trembled with the force of it.
The eyes within his hair blinked erratically, some squeezing shut while others darted around wildly, uncertain, unsettled.
“ This . . HAH.! ” He gasped between his laughter, baring his sharp teeth in a twisted grin. “ This is ridiculous! ” His voice wavered, uneven, cracking in places he hadn’t meant for it to.
He took a staggering step back, but his own body betrayed him—his knees nearly buckling beneath him.
His laughter faltered for just a second, but he forced it out again, louder, more unhinged, like if he could just laugh hard enough, he could drown out the warmth still curling inside his chest.
Pure Vanilla stood still, unshaken, watching. That only made it worse.
Shadow Milk’s fingers curled so tightly around his staff that his claws dug into the surface, splintering the wood further. “ You— ” His breath came out in a harsh exhale, his laughter finally dying down into something breathless, something strained. His throat burned.
His entire form ached. “ You think—what? That this little show of yours is enough to— what , exactly? Fix me? Make me fall to my knees and weep? Beg for forgiveness? ”
Pure Vanilla did not answer right away. His golden eyes remained steady, unwavering. “ No, ” he said simply. “ That’s not what I want. ”
Shadow Milk’s stomach twisted. His smirk wavered. His eyes, glowing cyan and cerulean with barely restrained fury, flickered with something else. Something more fragile, more real. The golden light pulsed again, steady, patient.
Shadow Milk felt his form twitch as warmth brushed against him once more, not pushing, not forcing—just existing.
He let out a low, shuddering breath, his hair falling around his face, the remaining eyes within them blinking slowly, their erratic movements stilled. His fingers twitched, then relaxed—only slightly. His smirk had faded entirely now, leaving something else in its wake.
Something lost.
Something exhausted.
His voice, when he finally spoke, was quiet. “ . . .Then, what do you want, Pure Vanilla? ”
Pure Vanilla’s expression softened, just barely, the weight of Shadow Milk’s words settling between them. The way his name left the Beast’s lips sounded uncertain, quiet, and almost hesitant.
It wasn’t spat out with venom, nor was it laced with mockery or deceit. It was unfiltered, the usual playful and cocky tone of his voice completely disappearing.
For a moment, he said nothing. He simply observed Shadow Milk Cookie, the way his body sagged ever so slightly, the fight draining out of him in waves, leaving behind something brittle, something uncertain.
“ I want to understand, ” Pure Vanilla repeated, his voice gentle, unwavering. “ I want to understand you. ”
Shadow Milk Cookie clenched his teeth, his claws digging into his bodysuit, causing the dough underneath the fabric to throb and sting. His chest tightened, the warmth lingering far longer than he wanted it to.
He had spent so long weaving lies, masking himself in theatrics and deception and now, being under Pure Vanilla’s steady gaze, every layer felt like it was peeling away, leaving him bare, and exposed.
His lips parted as if to say something—anything to break the silence, to push away the weight pressing down on him—but no words came. Instead, another sound slipped through.
A shuddering breath.
He hated this.
Hated the way his body refused to obey him, how the exhaustion clung to his very being like a sickness he couldn’t shake.
He was the Beast of Deceit, the Cookie of Knowledge, now the embodiment of chaos. He wasn’t supposed to be the one faltering, but that had never been an option for him.
He had built himself this whole persona, one that he perfected to the last-minute detail, but it all just crumbled in front of the new holder of his soul jam like it didn’t even matter.
Yet, here he was.
The sound that left Shadow Milk Cookie’s mouth not long after was somewhere between a laugh and a gasp, ragged and uneven. His shoulders shook, whether from exhaustion or frustration—he couldn’t tell anymore.
His own laugh sounded foreign to him, broken and brittle, nothing like the amused sneers or delighted cackles he usually wielded like weapons. It was hollow, empty, devoid of its usual confidence.
“ Heh. . ” he forced out again, this time louder, as if trying to reclaim some semblance of himself, some sliver of control. His breath was uneven, his cyan and cerulean eyes flickering wildly. “ Do you —do you even hear yourself!? Do you even realize what you’re saying? ”
His hands twitched at his sides, his claws flexing. His entire body felt too heavy, too weak, and the sheer vulnerability of it made his skin crawl.
“ Why would you deliberately want to understand me? ” he spat, though the usual venom wasn’t there. “ There is nothing to understand! ” He clenched his fists, his claws digging into his palms, the sharp edges leaving trails of tension.
His hair flared up again, the eyes within them opening wide, pupils sharpening in unimaginable fury. “ What about your good for nothing, friends?! Fighting me won’t bring them back. . ! “
Pure Vanilla didn’t recoil, didn’t shrink away like so many others had before.
He simply watched, steady and unmoving, his golden eyes reflecting something Shadow Milk couldn’t place.
Just before Shadow Milk could say anything else, the sound of footsteps echoed in the distance, interrupting the fragile silence between them.
The heavy sound of steps grew louder, and for a moment, Shadow Milk Cookie's gaze flickered to the side, his tension spiking as he waited for the next attack, the next threat .
“ Pure Vanilla Cookie! “ Shadow Milk Cookie’s expression freezes, his eyes darting to the scene of GingerBrave, Wizard, and Strawberry Cookie coming to Pure Vanilla’s side, relieved to see that their friend is fine and out of the Beast Cookie’s control.
His eyes snapped back to Pure Vanilla, his claws still clenched, the tremors in his hands threatening to overtake him as his gaze flickered between the Ancient Cookie and his friends.
“ My friends! I’m so glad you’re alright! ” GingerBrave’s voice rang out with relief as he reached Pure Vanilla’s side, his usual cheerfulness tainted by the weight of the situation.
Strawberry Cookie’s gentle smile flickered with the same sense of warmth, while Wizard Cookie stood with a guarded expression, his sharp eyes constantly darting between the two cookies.
Shadow Milk Cookie’s chest tightened at the sight. The connection between Pure Vanilla and his friends was so. . . real. So warm.
A stark contrast to the cold, bitter isolation that Shadow Milk had clung to for so long. And there they were, standing together, a united front— and he was on the outside of it all .
The trembling in his hands became more pronounced. His claws dug deeper into his palms, but he didn’t care. It was as if the pain was the only thing that kept him grounded in the moment.
Watching them made Shadow Milk feel something foreign. Something that made his chest ache with a deep, gnawing at his heart in a way that made him stiffen, not being able to ignore how it was making him feel.
They were so alive, so full of warmth, standing together with a sense of belonging that he could never seem to reach.
Their bond was so undeniable, so natural—and he was nothing but an outsider, watching from the edges, feeling that connection slip further and further from his grasp.
His breath became erratic as the emotions inside him twisted, spiraling out of control. Anger. Desperation.
Loneliness.
All those things collided in a way that left him gasping for air, as though the very weight of them threatened to crush him.
The scene made him think back to when he used to be with his friends. He hadn’t been with them besides being inside of the Silver Tree in eons. But, now, it was different.
The pain was sharper than ever.

The Awakening of White Apathy Rewrite // Chapter 2: Camaraderie in the Fog
Here's chapter 2!!
<Prev.> <Next>
꘎♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡꘎
The group ventures into the floury fog with Crunchy Chip Cookie leading the charge, his steps filled with confidence and triumph. Caramel Arrow Cookie, meanwhile, was not too far behind, annoyed with the commander's cockiness as the fog only got thicker. Dark Cacao Cookie squinted his violet eyes to better view his surroundings, only to stumble over a random rock with a loud thump. Caramel Arrow Cookie, the Swift and Cautious Dark Cacao warriors immediately stopped when the thump reached their ears, assisting their king as Crunchy Chip walked further away. As his steps suddenly stopped, Caramel Arrow looked up to see the commander was nowhere to be found.
"Crunchy Chip Cookie? Where are you?" Caramel Arrow shouted. "CRUNCHY CHIP COOKIE, ANSWER ME!! ACK- I knew it..! He was so confident just a moment ago!"
"Don't tell me, he got himself lost from the group?" The Swift Dark Cacao warrior sighed as Dark Cacao Cookie got back on his feet.
"Of course he did! That cookie's confidence makes up for his lack of a brain!" The Cautious Dark Cacao warrior replied with a hint of snark in his voice.
"Everyone, stay on your guard." Dark Cacao huffed. "Crunchy Chip Cookie should be close by..."
Caramel Arrow nods in agreement, "Yes, Your Majesty! I shall lead the way for now... Surely Crunchy Chip Cookie hasn't wandered too far away."
As the group ventures deeper and deeper into the fog, within a blink of an eye, Dark Cacao Cookie finds himself all alone... It was like his warriors disappeared into thin air! The king urgently looked around as he listened closely for a mutter, footstep, anything to know his warriors were still by his side. Every second felt like hours, the silence getting louder, as Dark Cacao's mind wandered in paranoia.
"Where is everyone...? I can't see a thing...! Caramel Arrow Cookie! Are you nearby?!" The king shouted, his voice bouncing off of the trees and rocks.
No response.
"CARAMEL ARROW COOKIE!" The king shouted again.
No response.
"DARK CACAO WARRIORS, ANSWER ME!" The king shouted once more as the reality began to settle in. He lost his warriors.
"It can't be...! I have lost sight of everyone already?!" Dark Cacao Cookie questioned himself as he walked, soon bumping into a tree with a loud thud. "Eugh...!" He groaned as he rubbed his nose, "This dense fog! Cover my eyes no more!"
The king lifted his sword, determination, and annoyance flowing through his dough as he prepared to strike.
"I shall blow it away with a slash of my sword!"
With a swift slash from his sword... the fog was still as dense as it was before. Dark Cacao's eyes widened in shock as his sword lowered, his eyebrow twitching slightly. He was dumbfounded! He was always able to cut through the thickest of fogs with only one slash of his sword without fail... but all of a sudden, he couldn't?! This was getting ridiculous... utterly ridiculous! Dark Cacao's patience began to quickly dwindle as he stormed through the fog with a huff.
"ANYONE?!" The king shouted once again, "This is getting ridiculous... IS THERE NO ONE HERE?! If you can hear me, answer!!" Dark Cacao huffed in annoyance, "IS THERE REALLY NO ONE HERE?!"
Before he could continue his screaming, the sound of rustling from the bushes quickly caught his attention. The king scanned his surroundings to find the source before his eyes landed on the ground, being met with a trail of fresh cookie tracks! Dark Cacao's eyes lit up with triumph as a slight smile appeared on his face.
"AHA!" Dark Cacao exclaimed with excitement, "Fresh cookie tracks! Those must belong to Caramel Arrow Cookie!"
Before he could follow the tracks, the same rustling sound in the bushes caught his ear once again, stopping him in his tracks as his triumphant smile faded. Dark Cacao's head snapped into place as he readied his sword for attack.
"Who goes there?!" He barked.
No response.
"Face my sword!!"
FWOOOOSH!
"HIYAAAAAAAAAH!!!"
CLANG!!!
Dark Cacao stumbled back a little from the blow, baffled and shocked. He looked down at his sword, no one was ever able to block his attacks like that! Not his watchers, his commanders, warriors, maids, NO ONE! How was that even possible?! Whoever that was, they certainly were a skilled swordsman indeed! Almost as if... no, no that couldn't be right! Dark Cacao hasn't seen him in almost three years! There was no way he was here... no, couldn't be... right?
"They... read the movement of my sword..? What skill-"
"Your Majesty! It's me, Caramel Arrow Cookie!"
King Dark Cacao froze in place... he knew that voice!
"There he is! Look! We found His Majesty!"
Oh, thank goodness! It was only Caramel Arrow Cookie, Crunchy Chip Cookie, and the two other warriors, not too far behind! Dark Cacao took a sigh of relief as the floury fog began to clear. However, not enough for the king to see properly, that is... The group stopped in front of their king as he tried to make out who was who.
"What a relief that we found each other again!" Caramel Arrow chirped.
"Yes... eugh..." Dark Cacao groaned in annoyance, "This fog is obscuring my vision... I cannot see a thing!" The annoyed king quickly stood proud and tall as he called to his loyal warriors:
"Caramel Arrow Cookie!"
"Yes, Your Majesty! Forever loyal to you, it is I, First Watcher Caramel Arrow Cookie!"
"Crunchy Chip Cookie!"
"Yes, Your Majesty! I am Crunchy Chip Cookie, His Majesty's proud Commander of the Cream Wolves!"
"And my Dark Cacao Warriors!"
"Yes, Your Majesty! Glory to the Dark Cacao Kingdom!"
"Thank goodness... we are all together once again. Let us keep it that way as we continue forward."
Caramel Arrow Cookie crossed her arms, a sly smirk on her face as she eyed Crunchy Chip Cookie.
"Yes," She remarked, "Let us keep it that way as we continue forward, Mr. 'My senses are as good as the Cream Wolves themselves'...~"
"HEY!" Crunchy Chip barked, "As if you're any better, Miss 'I'm addicted to boba tea'! Why don't you stop acting all high and mighty while your forehead is bigger than a billboard!"
"And why should I listen to you?" Caramel Arrow snipped with a sneer, "I am the first watcher and you're nothing more than a mere commander! I can find my way through the thickest of fogs and fight the toughest of beasts! Why do you think His Majesty chose me to be his first watcher?~ Besides, your sense of direction is so bad, you couldn't find your reflection in a mirror!"
"YOU CRACK MIRRORS!!" Crunchy Chip snapped back, his words dripping with venom, "HONESTLY, I'm still left here wondering why His Majesty would ever choose YOU! If anything, he probably took pity on you after you lost your dear-"
"Enough!" Dark Cacao boomed, his voice bouncing off of the trees and rocks once more, "We have traveled here to eliminate the source of the pale ailment, NOT argue and fight with one another like children bickering over a toy! What has gotten into you two? I have trained you better than this!"
The commander and watcher ceased their childish banter as they stood still, listening to the king's angry words. Their eyes shot daggers at one another as the king lectured them like bratty children. Dark Cacao huffed and pinched his nose, wondering what had gotten into his best watcher and commander... He has seen them bicker and argue before, but never to this extent. Their bickering always felt like simple sibling banter with some slight name-calling here and there, but to hear Crunchy Chip Cookie pull out something so personal... something he knew would hurt Caramel Arrow Cookie deeply... was unacceptable! And to hear Caramel Arrow talk so highly of herself... was bizarre! Perhaps it was only nerves...?
"You're right, Your Majesty. I don't know what came over me!" Caramel Arrow sighed as she bowed.
"Yeah... you're right, Your Majesty. We shouldn't be arguing, especially when we need to stop the pale ailment from spreading!" Crunchy Chip added, bowing as well.
"Hmpf." Dark Cacao scoffed. That was a rather quick shift in tone... quicker than he expected, "Then I expect you both to focus on the task at hand from this point on. I better not hear such venomous words leave your mouths for the rest of our journey, understood."
"Yes, Your Majesty." The commander and watcher replied, their eyes staring at the ground.
"Good. Now, let us continue forward. I shall lead the way onward."
Dark Cacao Cookie marched forward, taking the lead as Caramel Arrow and Crunchy Chip sulked behind, staring at each other with an annoyed look in their eyes.
"Don't say such things in front of him..." Caramel Arrow whispered, "You could-"
"Relax...!" Crunchy Chip muttered under his breath, "He won't catch a thing...! That guy is as dense as a boulder!"
"But, extremely paranoid...! It's best if we keep our heads down for the time being... you know what will happen if we don't..."
"Fine, fine... but don't think I'm following your orders because I want to..."

The Tale of Two Cookies
A CRK AU Fanfic
Chapter 1/?
Tumblr media
Dear Diary,
Ever since I was young, I have been jealous of my brother’s attention. It was always, Pure Vanilla this, Pure Vanilla that. Never Pure Milk. I was brushed aside like cookie crumbs. It didn’t help that my brother and I are twins—opposite color schemes, but twins all the same. He’s older than I am, but some days, it doesn’t feel like it. I remember… that one day, Mother and Father brought us into a room and told us something.
“Now, now, Pure Milk, Pure Vanilla. It’s time we tell you something—a prophecy,” our mother said, watching as Vanilla and I clung to each other. We were young. We were stupid. We were naïve.
I was curious—I could see my brother was, too. Father continued, “This prophecy is old, as old as the trees in the Silver Kingdom.” That made me giddy; I loved the Silver Kingdom. It was so pretty! I squealed softly, earning a ruffle of my hair from Father.
“An elder once foretold of two brothers… One yellow, one blue.”
Pure Vanilla and I stared at each other, already guessing that it meant us.
I don’t want to remember the rest of that day. I just remember my brother and me sobbing uncontrollably. He held me in his arms as we cried… That prophecy traumatized us—scarred us for life. But it was how we’d end up in the future.
I think about that day a lot. Not that I have much else to think about. This tree is a prison I don’t want to be in. It’s suffocating, and it doesn’t help that I can hear the four others squirming and crying. I just want them to shut up. I can’t take it anymore. It’s so loud in this damn prison.
Never would I have guessed that the kingdom I adored so much as a young cookie would be the one to hold my jail cell.
It’s so quiet at times, so dark. I can only see the gleams of the others’ Soul Jams. I’m pressed up against what would be the opening. I want out. I want my brother. But I doubt he wants me…
That look on his face when I was locked away said it all. He doesn’t consider me his brother anymore, does he? I wouldn’t. I caused so much trouble, so much harm… I would do it again, sure, but I just want the agony of hearing these brats to stop.
I want to go home.
That’s all for now, Diary. Not that I’m writing this in anything. I can’t see.
Sincerely,
Shadow Milk Cookie

HEHE i wrote a fanficccc
A little context: The accidents decided they wanted to go on a little trip together for old times sake
Pin Feathers
It was a late night on Crispa, the night was young and the stars flew high. But there was a Cookie who laid awake, struggling to handle her wings.
It was Golden Cheese Cookie. She sat there, in the tent her and her friends all were in, the other laid presumably asleep, as she was grooming her own feathers, trying to get rid of the pin capsules that held her new feathers in cages. But she was starting to get frustrated, she could feel the pin feathers that needed to be free on her back, but they were just out of her reach.
She never asked for help with such a thing, she hated to bother her friends with such an inconvenient and little problem. She let out a frustrated huff as she tried to reach those feathers, contorting her body in all sorts of ways to try and reach them.
Suddenly, there was some rustling coming from the pile her friends were sleeping in. She turned around to see who was moving, only to be greeted by the face of her close friend with pink hair looking at her with tired eyes.
“Golden Cheese?” Hollyberry mumbled, “What are you doing awake?” She asked as she sat up more properly.
“Oh, just fixing my wings…” Golden Cheese answered, “You really should go back to sleep.”
“Well I can't when I keep hearing your wings fluttering all around the tent.” Hollyberry stated as she looked at Golden Cheese’s wings. They were large and gorgeous as always, but the pin feathers were painfully noticeable
“What are those?” Hollyberry asked as she crawled around her sleeping friends and over to Golden Cheese
“What? My pin feathers?”
“Oh, so that's what these are called?” Hollyberry gently grabbed one of them, causing Golden Cheese to flinch.
“My bad- I should have asked before touching” Hollyberry said as she retracted her hand as she looked at the many pin feathers on Golden Cheese's wings.
“What are they there for anyways?”
“The little capsules are there to protect the new feathers that come in, once the feathers are fully grown your spouse to get the capsules off of them”
“Oh, so are you struggling to get some of them off?”
“Yes, they're just out of my reach!”
“Hmph…How about I get them off for you then?”
Golden Cheese frowned a bit, “But you need to be sleeping, Holly.”
“You should also be asleep Goldie, yet here we are.”
“...”
“...?”
“Fine, i'll let you help, just please be gentle with them”
“Of course!”
Hollyberry then grabbed one of the new feathers, “So do I just break it off?”
“Yeah, all you have to do is rub it a little and it should come off.”
“Sounds easy enough.”
Hollyberry took the cartilage capsule between two of her fingers and rubbed it slowly, and it soon fell off the new feather. Hollyberry did this with some other ones as Golden Cheese did the same to the pin feathers she could reach. Hollyberry couldn't help but admire the beauty of Golden Cheese’s wings.
The center of them started with a warm yellow and slowly faded into a more orange and burnt sort of yellow at the ends, not to mention the majestic teal color that was on the ends as well. All her feathers were soft and smooth to the touch, clearly very well taken care of.
Golden Cheese couldn't help but feel like this moment was a bit intimate, she didn't know why she felt it was like that, she just had that gut feeling that it was.
After a while of the two ladies letting the new feathers be free and blend into the other feathers, Golden Cheese turned around.
“Thank you, Holly, sorry to keep you up”
“Oh no, its fine dear! Anything to help out a friend”
Hollyberry and Golden Cheese then proceeded to join the cuddle pile their other three friends had been in, ready to get some nice sleep for the night, free of any pin feathers.

The gem mermaids x maid/butler! reader + ART!
Tumblr media
Cw!: THERE IS NO AGE GAP! this fanfic is not intended to be read as you and the characters having a age gap it's clearly written for you two to be the same age! I just wanna make this clear because I don't want people to misinterpret the dynamic of this fan fic. And it's not proofread!
Characters present: Crimson Coral cookie, Mystical Opal cookie, Golden Citrine cookie and Aquamarine cookie
Dynamics present: childhood friends to lovers, fluff, confessions, before dating,
⋆⭒˚。⋆Introduction⋆⭒˚。⋆
Ah the gem mermaids, so majestic and all of them can take your breath away just by looking at you but it just so happened that you are their favourite <3
When you were as young as them, your mer parents explained that you are the young gem mermaids source of happiness, they trust you and cherish you, and as you two grew up they still feel how their heart is captured by you and only you <333
.𖥔 ݁ ˖Crimson coral cookie.𖥔 ݁ ˖
"Just like you looked out for me when I was hurt, I'll always do the same for you"
✧When you just started to serve for the gem mermaids you were assigned to accompany the young crimson coral cookie
✦When she would train and learn how to ride the sea horses you always kept a really close eye on her, you never wanted for your lady to be hurt after all!
✧And if she did get hurt in the process you'd always hurry to check if she was injured and if she was then you'd always have some extra kelp to patch up her wounds
✦Even if she was hurting she couldn't help but feel always way better when she would hear your voice, it calmed her down and brought her down to earth and distracted her from her injuries
✧As you grew older she always insisted that you take more frequent breaks because she hated when you'd feel burned out
✦As you were teens she had a rebellious phase and she often insisted on taking you on a ride on her sea horse and explore beyond Tearcrown, sometimes she'd even sneak out quality foods and sweets that only loyalty could eat so you can have at least a taste.
✧After growing up she accepted that she has feelings for you and sees you as equal, and one day as she took you to your childhood favourite spot and there she confessed in the privacy of your secret place, and as you sat there you two made two bracelets for eachother that represented your love for each other
✦And by her orders she explained to the guards that she would feel way safer if you'd join her for the night and that's how now you guys are cuddling close, to each others arms, and this action always brings crimson coral closure and piece
✧She really likes holding you and you holding her, her entire day schedule is filled with little to to physical touch, so, at the end of the day, having you in her grasp, just brings her so much happiness and just a calm feeling that drives her to a peaceful slumber.
Also if you are curious about how the sweets look like, they look like those muffins from the mermaid Barbie movie + that coral looking cake🤭

(she's shushing u so u two won't get caught)
Mystic Opal cookie
"To be honest, I wouldn't know what I would have done without you"
𖤓One thing she vividly remembers is this specific scenario from when she was younger:
𖤓'sat in front of the mirror, and some of her sisters trying their best to untangle her hair without it biting their arms off, so her hair would always be unstylised and sometimes tangled in which thay would make her quite insecure'
𖤓But when she heard that you'd be a sort of personal maid/butler for her she was kind of concerned how her hair would react because she didn't want it to intimate you or hurt you
𖤓But surprisingly it didn't really have a problem with you, it didn't have a problem with you touching it, brushing it and overall styling it. She was in awe when you managed to do it for the first time and from then on she insisted that you'd help her with this matter
𖤓Slowly by having hair styling sessions you two would talk with eachother and open up about past experiences, what you liked and didn't like etc etc.
𖤓And as time went by you two became inseparable, and because of her more closed off nature she really placed a lot trust in you, she'd always trust you with some more sensitive feelings of hers and she'd always appreciate the way you'd reassure her and your presence would always make her feel better.
𖤓After a while when she noticed she had feelings she mostly kept them to herself, of course you are the one that she trusts the most, but it felt like something so intimate that she just had to keep it in
𖤓But even if it was a secret, her actions weren't repressed one bit, now she'd subconsciously stand closer to you, her finns would flapp and rice up when she'd see you and the star that hangs at the back of her head would glow just a little brighter.
𖤓And Golden Citrine cookie teased the hell out of Mystic Opal when she caught up with her infatuation with you and by the end encouraged her to confess because by the end of the day she can't just hide her feelings forever
𖤓And she took het sisters advice at heart and the hole week she was preparing herself to confess but by the end of the week she was so stressed about confessing to you that she accidentally distanced herself away from you
𖤓And as you were preparing her hair for her night routine before bed you questioned if you did something to upset her, at that moment she realised she can't take it no longer and just let it all out
𖤓By the end, she ended up crying because it was never her intention to hurt you because you were so beloved to her but she was afraid how you'd react but by the end after comforting her and taking about it she gave you the most gentle kiss on the cheek
𖤓Even if that is one of her first relationships, she's actually a really good partner, she's calm collected and when you two are alone she feels so safe with you that she lets herself and her emotions to be vulnerable without worrying about any sort of judgement
𖤓She feels so happy and comfortable with you, she just wished she could give you all of the love of the sea just for you to have
Tumblr media
Golden Citrine cookie
"Wanna join me on another trinket hunt?"
❂When she first met you the very first thing that she did was bring her to her room to show you the various golden trinkets that she found from those hollow whales!
❂They all looked to mesmerized undet the moonlight and their reflection could easily light up her room with a really soft golden light
❂She mostly would sneak you out Tearcrown so you'd have some time alone and find more trinkets for her to add to her collection
❂At these treasure hunting trips she'd be as exited to talk and rant about how some things tip her off, just like how crimson coral doesn't really get her sarcasm but she'd be as excited to hear more about you!
❂She'd always insists in you joining the rest of the gem mermaids everywhere because she considers you as family and deeply cares about you
❂Another thing you'd do together was cleaning up any dirty trinkets, because after all she wants them to shine brightly under the sun and the moon light!
❂She has a surprisingly good maintained hair! She just enjoys not having it tied up and letting it free so she never really insisted on having hair care sessions because it was so easily maintainable
❂The moment she realised she had feelings for you is when you two would on one of your treasure/trinket hunting adventures and you'd look so interested in her little rant on how much she loves her shiny jewelry, your expression was so focused and interested on what she had to say that she outright confessed right here and there!
❂Of course later on, around that night before coming back to Tearcrown she said that she genuinely ment it and that she truly really does adore you and asked you properly if you'd like to be her partner
Tumblr media
Aquamarine cookie
"Today I found a new flower that never has seen before and I named it after you"
.𖥔 ݁ ˖Ooooo she remembers so clearly how when you first showed up she instantly just brought you to her garden!
.𖥔 ݁ ˖Aquamarines garden was a old greenhouse that eventually got sinked by the sea so she made herself a home there
.𖥔 ݁ ˖You'd mostly help out with different tasks in her garden like: caring out different types of sand/soils that her plants need
.𖥔 ݁ ˖Or she'd join you by going to far away markets to get new seeds for her garden and even when talking care of the plants she'd rant on and on about their properties, from where they originated, how to properly take care of them ect.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖One day she was sick so she couldn't attend the garden and you were nowhere to be found, she wanted to start looking for you because your presence comforted her but her sisters insisted on her resting
.𖥔 ݁ ˖But once everyone was asleep she sneaked out her room and started looking out for you, once she was ready to give up she decided to see how her garden was doing
.𖥔 ݁ ˖To her surprise she found you there! You were half asleep taking care of the last plant that needed care
.𖥔 ݁ ˖She felt as her heart quickened and warmed up, and as she gently swam at you and brought you to her embrace just to take you to her room for you to rest as well
.𖥔 ݁ ˖Having you near her while she was sleeping and in a vulnerable state she felt so safe, even if there was nothing to worry about she felt protected and she felt like she could protect you at any time
.𖥔 ݁ ˖Her confessing would be at her garden, it would be a lovely night where the moonlight would shine though the glass of the greenhouse giving you two a warm illumination just bright enough to be able to see eachother + some of her bioluminescent plants would be glowing too
.𖥔 ݁ ˖As you two took care of the last plants she took a deep breath and handed you over a flower in a glass sphere, it was so beautiful! It even had the ability to glow in the dark!
.𖥔 ݁ ˖As she handled it to you she took one of your hands and held it as she confessed how much she liked you and how happy you make her so she wanted you to have one of her secret flowers that she kept hidden so noone would steal it
.𖥔 ݁ ˖After getting to a relationship with her it because a tradition to the both of you to grow rare types of plants during the year so when your anniversary comes up you two can give it to eachother as presents in a glass sphere <33

Downstream: Part 1 (Affogato Cookie)
Here it is lads. I actually had a bunch of ideas from my own and from asks that I’ve wanted to implement, but didn’t want to keep you folks waiting, so I’ll split it into two parts. Thanks a lot for 570+ followers, lads. That’s a lot of peeps following me!
Tumblr media
WHAM!
A cookie had struck a bandit in the back with their staff, causing them to yell out in pain before they tumbled into the snow, too battered to get up and fight again, joining the other members of the gang who had also been laying in the snow, too exhausted and hurt to get up either. The cookie with the staff chuckled to themself as they adjusted the scarf covering their face.
Hehe, I should’ve expected cookies who go after defenseless villagers to barely put up a fight, I barely worked up a sweat! Even the sparring matches back at the kingdom offered more of a challenge than this! Anyways, that will teach you to pick on innocent cookies again, just remember me the next time you do.
A bandit rose weakly from the snow behind the cookie, a blade clutched in their hand. Angry at your prideful boasting, they quietly moved in, readying their weapon. Once close enough, they made a sprint towards you, ready to jab you through the chest.
But then…the bandit stopped and began to cough harshly. The air around them now decorated with a purple tint as they fell to their knees.
“Ah ah ah, not so fast.”
A smooth voice called out as the bandit fell into the snow and into unconsciousness. The cookie with the staff turning around to see the knocked out bandit and the cookie responsible for it.
Affogato Cookie, having my back like always.
Tumblr media
“You’d think I’d let anyone lay a hand on my savior?”
Just make sure you aren’t actually crumbling the guy, will you?
“At your command.”
Affogato lifted the poisonous curse from the now shivering bandit, who takes the opportunity to flee along with their brethren who had also quickly gotten up and ran in terror.
And don’t come back now, you hear me! Or I’m going to have to go all serious on you! Hehe.
“Is it wise to let them run? I wouldn’t want them to start more trouble for you, Y/N Cookie.”
If I don’t get to them first, it would be the Dark Cacao Kingdom that does.
Affogato and Y/N Cookie chuckle with each other, but that did leave Affogato with a question.
Now that…Dark Cacao Cookie retook the throne…did he plan on tracking down Y/N Cookie?
If so….how long would it be until Affogato would have to tell Y/N Cookie on what really happened back there?
That he was indirectly responsible for Y/N’s banishment?
That he was the one to betray Dark Cacao Cookie and claim the throne?
Affogato knew Y/N Cookie still held a level of respect for Dark Cacao Cookie, what would you say if you found out about this?
Would Y/N hate him? Would they throw him out into the snow to freeze? Would they personally crumble him for his crimes against the kingdom?
Would you still like him despite all of that?
A voice interrupted his thoughts, it was one of the villagers approaching the duo.
“Our village would like to thank you both for your help, those bandits would’ve certainly stolen all of what we had if it hadn't been for you two. For that, we thank you, Cookie of the Ridge, and your loyal companion, Affogato Cookie.”
Of course, it’s your duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves. You couldn’t stand by and allow miscreants to go about as they please and take from innocents. Too many tribes and their villages have fallen, you didn’t want to see another to suffer the same fates.
“Y-yes, it’s a pleasure to help those in need. If there’s no more problems, we must get going.”
“No no, we insist on rewarding you kind cookies. Care to join us for a feast? It would be an honor to host two brave warriors that helped save our village.”
Oh come on, Affogato. One feast shouldn’t hurt, besides fighting those bandits did work up your appetite.
“Please, right this way, honorable cookies.”
Affogato could only sigh in acceptance as he followed after Y/N Cookie.
Crumbs, those thoughts in his head before made him paranoid now. The last thing he wanted were Cacao warriors stumbling across this village and finding them there.
Now that Dark Cacao Cookie was back on the throne, it won’t be long before he sends out patrols to nearby villages and knowing your reputation, he’ll snap at any chance of finding you.
Especially one loathsome cookie in particular, the obsessive pest of the Dark Cacao Kingdom, Caramel Arrow Cookie.
She’d never let go once she’s gotten to you, Affogato will not allow this and the Kingdom to get in the way between Y/N Cookie and himself.
—————————————————————————————————————
The sounds of the throne doors open as Caramel Arrow Cookie hurried in, looking upon Dark Cacao Cookie sitting on his throne another status report at the ready. She saluted him.
Tumblr media
“First Watcher, report.”
Tumblr media
“With the improving conditions on the Wall, we’re able to send out Watchers to the nearby villages for support. Try as they might, but the roving bandit groups are no match for the might of the Dark Cacao warriors!”
“Good. Has there…been any leads on the search?”
“Yes, my King! The villagers have mentioned the Cookie of the Ridge coming to their aid in the past, which means Y/N Cookie is still out there somewhere! Not only that, we’ve collected hidden traps located in the woods, we can only hope this will lead us right to them.”
“Continue this lead. Do not let up, this may be our only chance of finding them!”
At once, my King! When I return, it’s going to be me and Y/N Cookie coming through the gates, I promise!”
Caramel Arrow Cookie hurried out the doors and through the gates as she ventured into the snowy wilderness.
Tumblr media
Dark Cacao sighed as he gazed down to the floor, pondering. He remembered the time when you first joined the Dark Cacao Kingdom, Y/N Cookie was a lonesome wanderer who had a semblance of skill in combat. His Watchers would vouch for their combat ability when they witnessed them help fend off a horde of licorice monsters.
He saw their potential and took them back to the kingdom. There were bumps in the road like Y/N’s lighthearted and kind nature contrasting his more serious one, but even he started to appreciate those flaws now. He knew a cookie that definitely grew attached to your demeanor and that was the First Watcher!
Ever since the first training session with bows, you two had been attached to each other ever since. When those two weren’t separated by their duties, Y/N and Caramel would often be seen together, talking about tactics and weapons.
Dark Cacao chuckled to himself a little when he remembered how Caramel was so excited when you finally reached the title of the Eighth Watcher.
Tumblr media
Caramel Arrow couldn’t have been happier since that day, hugging them tightly as they were honored with the title. Dark Cacao will admit that he smiled a little at the display, how close the two of them were.
It only made sense that she was extremely hurt when he banished Y/N Cookie, Caramel couldn’t focus for days on end, preferred to work alone, and would return to Y/N’s quarters instead of her own. It took a long time before she was able to return to any form of normal, even then, she still has her moments of sorrow.
So the possibility of Y/N Cookie remaining in the wilderness gave Caramel hope, she won’t stop looking until she finds them. It makes Dark Cacao think to himself.
He will admit that he was quick to banish them in the first place, as he did with Caramel as well. Y/N Cookie would never do anything to betray the kingdom, it didn’t seem like them to do that. But the poisonous words of that worm and his disciples, he shouldn’t have listened to them. He should’ve trusted his own judgment, he should’ve told Y/N Cookie to stay.
And yet, he told them to leave. He watched them go….the Watchers saw them go. He saw the devastated Caramel Arrow at the gate, she watched them go.
Not anymore.
He won’t allow these mistakes to linger any longer. And it started with getting Caramel Arrow back into the castle. Then it was getting the Wall under control. Once he was sure construction was underway, then the plan to locate Y/N Cookie was to be underway. The Watchers couldn’t be more eager to get out there and find them, helping the villages as well, with Caramel leading the way.
It was only a matter of time before they could locate them.
And when they do, they’re taking Y/N Cookie back with them. To become the Eighth Watcher again, just like before.
So the kingdom and Y/N Cookie can be together again…

One day, I had a dream...
I once had an amazing dream… I remember it as clearly as if it had just happened… So much so that all the details of this dream remain in my memory…
I remember a blizzard that night. It was the day I defeated the Dragon of the North and the Dragon of the South, freeing the Cocoa, Coffee, Liquorice and Milk tribes from their tyranny. A regular, very young biscuit from the Cacao tribe - sounds like a fairy tale for children. But it was true. The people of all the tribes proclaimed me king, and an unknown force bestowed upon me a stone that called itself the Soul Will Jam. It was a medium sized purple coloured pebble that immediately attached itself to my sword… quite curious. I couldn't sleep for a long time. The realisation of what had happened still lingered in my mind. I lay on my futon, replaying the events in my head, from defeating the dragons to getting that stone. — Young man… a hero should be sleeping soundly at a time like this,— Jem of Souls said suddenly, making me wince. It was unusual to hear the interlocutor in my head.
— I can't… my thoughts are in the way, — I said clearly, even though I knew Jem Dushi knew what I was thinking. I heard a heavy sigh in response.
— Do you still see the faces of those biscuits? I see… I've seen that once before, — the voice said, and it piqued my curiosity. I got up from the futon and, hands on my knees, sank to the floor in front of the sword. He kept talking about the past and then immediately changing the subject! I was sick of it.
— What are you doing up? Go to bed! You need sleep at all! — I squinted my eyes and stared at the faintly glowing stone.
— You keep talking about the past, but you don't tell me! Spit it out! — I exclaimed in a half-whisper so as not to wake the others in the house. But Jem Souls started backing off again, saying that I was supposedly ‘not old enough to know about such things’. And that hurt… But he gave in under my threats to let Creamwolf ‘play with the sword,’ which, by the way, always works.
— All right, all right! You got it, young man! — The voice grumbled, and I lay down again, pleased with myself. Perhaps under the influence of that voice, I began to slowly drift off to sleep, feeling like I was on a cloud. I felt like I was wrapped in something soft and light, even though I was under a blanket. At some point, I heard a voice and smelled something floury. The voice was female, and it sang a soft but beautiful melody. When I opened my eyes, I saw green mountains with occasional trees bearing pink fruit on their tops. Looking around, I noticed a small clearing with an equally small garden. In the garden, there was a go table with a plate of strange buns on it. But what attracted me most wasn't the beauty of the landscape, the go table, or the food. I saw a girl sitting on the side of the white chips, leaning her elbow on the table and singing softly. Her white qixiong ruqun perfectly complemented the golden pibo that surrounded her. The girl's hair was divided into two braids with gold ornaments at the ends. And on his forehead, like a crown, was an ornament that looked like an ear of wheat with a medium white stone. Around her neck was a gold necklace with three stones. Unfortunately, I couldn't see her face because of the fabric that was the same color as her clothes, with a small decoration in the form of wheat ears. But the only thing I knew was that it had something to do with Soul Jam. I took a step toward her, then stopped, startled when she looked my way. I felt goosebumps run down my spine and a lump formed in my throat. I couldn't say anything but stare at the girl in a daze. And she, in turn, got up from the pillow, carefully approached me with her hands folded in front of her on her stomach. That's when I caught myself thinking.why am I even reacting like this? After all, she's just like me...sort of.
— Greetings, guest of my humble abode. I'm glad you got here. — she said and apparently smiled happily, covering her face with her sleeve. I, on the other hand, didn't know what to say and just stood there like a fool.
— May I ask the name of my guest?" So what brings you here?" — while she was asking me questions, I didn't even notice that she was getting even closer to me. The smell of freshly ground flour and some pleasant incense immediately hit my nose. — Dark Cacao...that's my name. — I said, moving a little away from the state I was in. I blinked and looked again at the stranger, who looked like she was waiting for an answer to her second question. After taking a breath in and out, I continued:
— I ... wanted to know about the past of a stone called Soul Jam. And he said he would show me the past. — I could feel the trembling that had appeared from excitement gradually subsided and became a little easier. The girl, in turn, put her hand to her face and chuckled thoughtfully.
— I'll tell you, but first. — it was heard that a smile stretched on her face, and she turned back and went to the go table. Then she adjusted the pillow she was sitting on and landed on it.
— Will you play go with me? — If you win, I'll tell you about the past. If not, then you will already tell us about yourself. All right?" Adjusting her sleeve with her pale hand, she pointed to the chips and the seat across from her. Win in go, from an unknown girl from your dream to find out the past? Very suspicious... but still, there was no such choice, so I agreed. When I got to the table, I sat down on the side of the black chips and concentrated on the game itself. I made the first move, according to the rules of the game without a handicap. It seems to be a simple principle of the game: take on your side, more territory. But in fact, it turned out to be quite difficult. It must have been 10 minutes, and half the board was already filled with white chips. I swallowed hard and looked at the girl. And damn that cloth on her face! Because of her, I couldn't understand her train of thought!
"You're thinking too much of other things, my friend," she said suddenly, laying down the chip on my side, then folding her arms into her sleeves. When I looked down, I was horrified: the whole board was covered in white chips, and there were five black chips left. It was immediately clear that I had lost.
— You should focus not on winning, but on how exactly to achieve it. — the girl continued and raised her head slightly in my direction. I could feel people looking at me with regret, which made me even more ashamed. Exhaling, the girl got up and walked over to me, then sat down to my right.
— We could play some more games with you, but it's time for you to go back." I hope we can play again. She said as she patted my shoulder, causing me to look at her in a daze, and instead of a white cloth...I saw the ceiling of my room. I sat up and tried to digest what I'd seen… Was it a dream...or was it not? I wasn't sure about that…

Shadow Milk Cookie’s gaze was stuck on Pure Vanilla, the scrowl once present on his face slowly fading away and shifting into a neutral expression. He should’ve fought back once more, hell, even fled already, but he couldn’t move from his spot.
Shadow Milk instead chose to clench his fists, trying to summon his usual anger, but nothing came. Instead, he was filled with confusion. For once, the beast didn’t say anything in retaliation, since there was nothing to retaliate against.
He had lost this fight, and it had been wrapped in a bow and shoved right into his face.
In his eyes, he had used every trick in the back of his soul jam to break the Ancient that stood in front of him, to shatter his resolve like fragile glass.
And yet, Pure Vanilla still stood there, unwavering, offering not judgment or vengeance, but something far worse to the Beast of Deciet—understanding.
Shadow Milk’s fingers twitched at his sides, his mind screaming at him to scoff, to sneer, to do something, but all he could do was stare.
Pure Vanilla, his attention towards his friends, shifted to the defeated cookie in front of him, their dough clenched into fists as he glared up at him.
The Ancient’s gentle smile softened, his eyes filled with something Shadow Milk could only comprehend as pity. Even that didn’t feel right to him.
No, it was much more deeper than that.
It was kindness, unshaken and unrelenting, even after everything he had done to the symbol of truth.
“ You don’t have to keep fighting, ” Pure Vanilla murmured, his voice steady yet warm. “ You don’t have to be alone. ”
Shadow Milk’s irises sharpened. Something inside him, something buried, something weak , twisted at those words and caused his fists to tighten. He should reject this.
He should laugh in Pure Vanilla’s face like he’s done previously.
His gaze wandered to the leftover crumbs that the current holder of his soul jam considered friends, seeing how they shivered as he stared at them, causing his expression to turn one of anger.
“ What. .? “ The beast hissed out, dropping his staff on the tiled floor underneath him.
He didn’t know who he was pointing his anger at anymore, his fists unclenching, his hair rising back up in defensiveness. His sharp teeth bared at the cookies, causing them to shift, so they were now nearly dough-to-dough on Pure Vanilla for protection.
They all clung to the Ancient’s robe, their dough brushing up against the waffle-patterned fabric.
Even the brave one held onto him, his eyes trying their hardest to look unintimidated at the beast’s actions.
" You think you can just look at me like that? Hiding behind him like he’s going to protect you? ” His voice was thick with scorn, the sharpness of his words aimed at each of them.
His eyes blazed as he watched them, the sight of their fear—of their betrayal—fueling the fire within him. How dare they? How dare they look at him with pity? As if he needed them, as if he needed anyone .
" You think you’re better than me? " Shadow Milk spat, his teeth gritted. " You think I need you?! " His words were venomous, but the cracks in his facade were undeniable.
Beneath the fury, something else was shifting in the back of his dough, a gnawing loneliness that he couldn't quite shove away.
GingerBrave straightened, trying to show more courage than he felt, but there was an unmistakable hesitation in his gaze. “ We don’t think that at all. It doesn’t have to be like this. ”
Shadow Milk’s eyes glinted with a cruel amusement as he leaned forward, lips curling into a twisted smile. His voice took on a tone of mockery, sickly sweet with a bitter edge.
“ Oh? So you think you can fix me, hmm? You think this is all just some misunderstanding ? Just a little chat and everything’s fine again, right? ”
His eyes flickered over the trio behind Pure Vanilla, watching them flinch with every word that spat out of his mouth. His voice dropped to a taunting whisper, dripping with sarcasm.
“ What do you think he’ll do, huh? Wave his magical staff and make it all better? Like I’m some little cookie who needs to be saved ? ”
The beast’s head tilted to the side unnaturally as he stepped back from the group, his gaze never leaving the terrified trio. He could feel their fear radiating off of them, their eyes full of judgment and confusion.
“ Whattaya going to do to me, huh? Let me guess, you're going to get those wretched witches to somehow come back and imprison me like last time? “ Shadow Milk's eyes flared with malice, his lips curling into a twisted grin as he took another step back.
“ Better yet, bring that fool king back to life and trap me up in that rotten hunk of wood, wouldn’t you?! “ His words echoed through the spire, reverberating off the cold stone walls as if they were alive with the venom he spat.
Shadow Milk’s chest heaved with barely contained rage, his breath sharp and ragged, each exhale laced with bitterness. He couldn’t stop the words from spilling out, each one more desperate, more raw than the last.
Before Shadow Milk could get anything else out, Pure Vanilla stepped forward, his calm presence cutting through the tension in the room like a blade. His eyes, soft and understanding, met the beast’s, and for a brief moment, Shadow Milk faltered, his words caught in his throat.
“ I’m not going to allow you to continue antagonizing my friends just because you’re upset. “  Pure Vanilla said, his voice calm but firm, his expression steady. His words weren't full of anger, nor were they pleading.
There was no scolding, only an invitation to something better. “ You should be pointing your anger at me, not them. They haven’t done anything to cause you such rage. “
Shadow Milk's eyes narrowed, his body stiffening at the words. For a moment, his teeth ground together as he fought to suppress the surge of emotions that coursed through him. Point your anger at me , Pure Vanilla had said.
It should have felt like a challenge, like an opening for him to tear into the Ancient, but instead, it twisted something inside of him. The bitterness in his chest grew, but it was followed by something far more dangerous—doubt.
“ You’re the one I’m angry with, ” Shadow Milk hissed through clenched teeth, blaintly lying through his words. His voice was low, shaky with suppressed rage, but there was a certain shakiness to it now. “ You always were. You and your perfect little world. ”
His fists tightened again, but this time there was a hesitation—a subtle flicker of something in his chest, something he couldn’t name.
He wanted to lash out. He needed to lash out. It was his only defense, his only way of holding onto what little control he had left.
Pure Vanilla didn’t flinch. Instead, he took another slow, deliberate step forward, his gaze unwavering.
" Then direct it at me, " Pure Vanilla said softly. " I can take it. I’ve spent my whole life trying to understand the pain of others. But you don't have to hurt them. You don't have to hurt anyone anymore. "
Shadow Milk’s chest tightened. The words were like a rope pulling him closer, tightening around him, squeezing the last bit of defiance out of him. He opened his mouth, but nothing came.
He wanted to shout, wanted to retaliate, but it felt hollow. The anger felt hollow, the bitterness stale, like whatever reason he had for being upset disappearing in an instant.
Pure Vanilla continued, his voice steady and warm, " I’m not going to force you into anything, Shadow Milk. I just can’t let you keep doing this, not to them. Not to yourself. "
The Beast’s thoughts were spinning, a whirlwind of confusion and rage, but under it all, a flicker of something unfamiliar was growing—a flicker of something that wanted to stop.
For a fleeting moment, he felt exposed, vulnerable. The rage that had been his shield for so long suddenly felt like a brittle shell, one that could shatter at any moment.
“ Stop. . . ” Shadow Milk growled, a weak protest as he backed away, his mind screaming at him to retreat, to keep his distance from this overwhelming, unexpected pull.
As Shadow Milk staggered back, the crack in his resolve growing wider, something inside Pure Vanilla stirred.
He could see the beast on the verge of collapse, mentally, and emotionally. It was clear now that this wasn’t just about vengeance or anger. It wasn’t about domination or control.
No, there was something more broken within him. Something far more fragile.
Pure Vanilla paused, sensing the shift, and chose to press further, but not in the way Shadow Milk might have expected. “ I know what it's like to carry the weight of a mistake, Shadow Milk. To think you can never be forgiven for something you did—or something that was done to you. ”
For a moment, the spire was eerily quiet, save for the distant howling of the wind. Pure Vanilla’s words seemed to linger in the air, heavy and meaningful, as if each syllable carried years of untold grief.
“ I used to be in your predicament a while ago because I couldn’t let go of my own regrets, ” Pure Vanilla continued, his gaze unflinching, now locked on the beast. “ I thought I could fix everything alone. But that kind of thinking. .  it only hurts more in the end. ”
Shadow Milk flinched, his hands shaking as he looked at the Ancient. Those words hit harder than he wanted to admit.
Pure Vanilla’s expression softened, and he took another step forward, closer now. “ You’re not alone in this. You never have to be. But it starts with you. ” The golden glow began to intensify around Pure Vanilla, his aura radiating warmth, feeling more like a promise than just light on the beast’s dough.
A promise that no matter what had happened in the past, the future didn’t have to repeat the same mistakes.
“ Even though i don’t understand your pain to its fullest, i assure you, this path you have chosen to go down won’t do any good. ” Pure Vanilla said, his voice not just steady now but full of empathy, each word carefully chosen.
“ You have to stop hiding behind the rage, because that’s what’s keeping you trapped. ” He took another step closer, his hand still outstretched. “ The past can’t be undone, but you can choose what happens next. Let go of the hatred, the fear. . . You can move forward. ”
Shadow Milk’s chest rose and fell rapidly as his emotions waged war inside him. Every fiber of his being screamed to push Pure Vanilla away, to keep up the wall of anger and disdain.
Yet, as his gaze locked with the Ancient’s, something within him trembled—something so fragile, so buried deep inside, began to crack.
“ You don’t know what it’s like to be me, ” Shadow Milk muttered, voice tinged with desperation. “ To be betrayed. To be broken into pieces and cast aside. You don’t understand what I’ve lost. ”
Pure Vanilla’s expression softened even further, his heart clearly heavy with understanding. “ You’re right, Shadow Milk. I don’t understand what all you have lost, ” he said gently. “ However, i’ve seen it before when we shared soul jams. “
This made Shadow Milk's posture turn sharp, the mention of their soul jams caused a flicker of unease in him. He stiffened, his hands trembling slightly as memories he tried so desperately to bury resurfaced.
The connection between their soul jams had been so intimate, so raw, and in many ways, it had felt like a betrayal itself.
The very idea of sharing his essence with someone, letting them into the depths of his being, felt like a weakness.
The moment Pure Vanilla mentioned it, it felt like a door that had been locked away was creaking open again, and Shadow Milk wasn’t sure he was ready for that.
“ You saw something? ” Shadow Milk’s voice cracked, a sharp edge to his words. “ What exactly did you see, huh? Are you sure that wasn’t one of your memories resurfacing? ”
Pure Vanilla met his gaze calmly, choosing to ignore the Beast of Deceit’s pathetic attempt to try and shift the topic, undeterred by the sudden flare of hostility.
“ I saw your pain, even able to experience just a mere glimpse of it myself. I saw the loneliness you’ve carried with you. The fear that no one could ever accept you, not truly. And I saw the endless battle you’ve waged inside yourself, trying to find a place where you belong. ”
Shadow Milk’s breath hitched. The rawness of Pure Vanilla’s words made something inside him quiver, like the very foundation of the walls he’d built around himself was beginning to crack.
His lips trembled, and for a split second, he didn’t know how to respond. Everything he had been telling himself, every excuse and reason to keep fighting, seemed to falter under the weight of Pure Vanilla’s understanding.
“ I never wanted pity, ” Shadow Milk growled, his voice low and thick with emotion. “ I never asked for anyone to look at me like that. ”
GingerBrave and his friends, having cautiously approached, stood at the edge of the conversation, watching as the tension in the air grew thicker.
Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, and even GingerBrave had remained quiet, their gazes alternating between Pure Vanilla and the Beast, sensing that something monumental was unfolding before them.
They could feel the weight of Shadow Milk’s words and the depth of Pure Vanilla’s understanding, but none of them dared interrupt.
Pure Vanilla’s eyes opened, looking at the Beast of Deceit with unwavering compassion. His gaze was steady, unshaken by the fury radiating from the beast before him. “ I’m not offering you pity ,” he said softly, his voice calm but firm. “ I’m offering you understanding. I’m offering you the chance to stop carrying this burden alone. ”
Shadow Milk’s breath hitched at the words, his chest tightening as his fists clenched, almost instinctively. He could feel the walls inside him quaking under the pressure of Pure Vanilla’s kindness, and for a moment, he was terrified of what might happen if he let those walls come down.
“ I don’t need your help, ” he spat, though his voice wavered slightly, betraying the vulnerability he desperately tried to hide. His hair straightened, no longer being curved in its usually C shape like it had been previously.
The hair tendrils seemed to almost merge into something that resembled actual hair. The eyes on the inside ended up . . closing, something that none of the cookies in the Spire of Knowledge have seen, even knew, was possible for the beast to do anymore.
Pure Vanilla’s eyes widened, that one detail on the beast causing him to feel something he didn’t expect himself to feel during his attempt at trying to get Shadow Milk to open up—a strange flicker of hope. He saw the shift, the subtle signs that the walls around Shadow Milk were starting to crack.
It wasn’t much, but it was something. Something real. The beast had softened, even if just for a moment, and that was enough to remind Pure Vanilla why he had never given up on him.
He had seen the Beast Cookie look like this only once in his life, during his youth when he used to attend at Blueberry Yogurt Academy with White Lily.
The Ancient couldn’t help but have his mind drift off to when times were simpler, as well as drift off to where he might’ve seen Shadow Milk Cookie look like this.
Tumblr media
White Lily and him had just been banned from the library for stealing a book from the professors-only section, causing them to spend their afternoon in the greenhouse located behind the Academy, hiding away from the watchful eyes of the faculty.
The sun filtered through the thick glass windows of the greenhouse, casting soft, colorful light across the vibrant flora that filled the room.
The scent of blooming flowers and fresh herbs filled the air, offering a strange sense of calm in the midst of their little rebellion.
Pure Vanilla couldn’t help but laugh, looking at White Lily, who was trying to hide the thick book they’d swiped under a pile of leaves, despite it being far too big for any of them to conceal.
“ I think they’ll be more upset about us taking a book from the professors’ section than about us getting caught, ” White Lily mused, her eyes glinting with mischief.
Pure Vanilla smiled, shaking his head. “ We’ll get in trouble for this, won’t we? ”
He flipped through the pages of the book, his fingers tracing the ancient text with an almost reverent touch.
The book was heavy, thick with knowledge far beyond what was allowed for students like them, and it was exactly the kind of forbidden treasure that beckoned to their curiosity.
The idea that such knowledge was locked away in the depths of the Academy only made it all the more enticing.
“ I wouldn’t be too worried, ” Pure Vanilla Cookie said with a sly grin, settling down beside her among the plants. “ A little trouble never hurt anyone. Besides, it’s just a book. How bad can it be? ”
White Lily Cookie gave her a knowing look. “ You say that now, but wait until we have to face the headmaster’s wrath. ”
Pure Vanilla shrugged nonchalantly, but there was a glimmer of excitement behind his eyes.
He always had this way of brushing off the consequences, as if trouble was just another part of the adventure. " Who’s going to know? It’s not like we’re the first to pull a stunt like this. "
White Lily smiled, her thoughts wandering back to the book. There was something about its content—something far more profound than the usual forbidden texts they'd sneak in to read. This one, it felt different.
There was a faint, almost imperceptible aura surrounding it, a weight that tugged at the soul. The more he read, the more it seemed to resonate with something deep inside him, as he could almost hear faint whispers through the text.
As if sensing his distraction, White Lily leaned over to peek at the page. " What’s it about? " she asked, her curiosity piqued.
“ Do you remember when the history teacher mentioned something about the Five Beast Cookies? “ White Lily took a moment to give a response back, looking at the cover of the book that was placed on the ground, before her gaze went up to Pure Vanilla, nodding her head.
“ The Five Beasts were the first Cookies to possess the divine power of the Soul Jams, being the first cookies to ever be made and baked by the witches. The five cookies walked Earthbread as almighty envoys of the Great Creators. Knowledge, Volition, Happiness, Change, and Solidarity. "
White Lily’s eyes widened as the words hung in the air, heavy with the gravity of what Pure Vanilla was reading.
A picture of the Beasts was present underneath the text, their imposing figures sketched in intricate detail.
Each one stood tall, a towering presence of grace and power, exuding an aura of undeniable majesty.
Their eyes gleamed with a purity that was nearly divine, while their forms radiated a brilliance that made them seem larger than life itself. The illustrations, though simple in their artistry, captured the very essence of these legendary beings.
Pure Vanilla pointed to the illustration of the first Beast, a tall, regal figure draped in a cloak of shimmering gold, holding a staff resembling that of a key glow with a soft light.
The two cookies took note of how this Beast Cookie’s outfit had the recurring aspect of closed eyes on the back of his cloak and hair.
“ This one, the Beast of Knowledge, was said to possess unparalleled wisdom, capable of deciphering the deepest mysteries of the universe. I’ve heard the other faculty members call him something like Blueberry Milk Cookie since he’s the one who gifted his knowledge and gave it to this very school! “ White Lily raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise crossing her face as she leaned closer to the page, taking in the details.
“ Blueberry Milk Cookie?  ” she echoed. “ I didn’t realize that the Beasts had such. . personal connections to the people in our world. The history teacher barely mentions anything like that. ”
Pure Vanilla nodded, his expression distant as he continued to study the illustration. “ It’s not something we talk about much, especially in the context of their fall from grace. But yes, Blueberry Milk Cookie—he was one of the original Beasts, and his knowledge and wisdom were unparalleled. He could foresee events, to understand the intricate patterns of the world, and he shared much of that with others. ”
Since Pure Vanilla and White Lily were only made only a couple weeks after the Beast Cookie’s were through into Beast Yeast, the history surrounding the Beasts was still shrouded in mystery.
Their origins, their fall, and the impact they had on the world remained topics barely touched upon, even within the halls of Blueberry Yogurt Academy.
" Blueberry Milk Cookie’s influence was far-reaching, though, " Pure Vanilla continued, his tone quiet and reflective. " He wasn’t just an ordinary cookie with a gift. He was a visionary, someone who believed knowledge had the power to shape the future. "
His eyes softened, a flicker of respect crossing his features as he spoke of the Beast. " He had this idea that knowledge, if shared and wielded properly, could guide the world toward a better future. But, just like the other Beasts, there was a price to pay for such power. "
White Lily looked down at the book again, her fingers brushing over the aged pages. " What happened to him? What made him. . . fall? "
Pure Vanilla sighed, the weight of the history pressing down on him. " It’s said that the more knowledge Blueberry Milk Cookie gained, the more disconnected he became from the world around him. The wisdom he began sharing with other cookies started turning tainted and . . deceitful. "
White Lily's brow furrowed as she absorbed Pure Vanilla’s words. “ Tainted and deceitful? How did that happen? ”
Pure Vanilla’s gaze turned inward, the mental image of how things could’ve went down during the Beast Cookie’s reign clouding his thoughts. “ It was subtle at first. At the beginning, his wisdom was a gift. Cookies flocked to him for guidance, for understanding. He could see patterns, and foresee events. ”
He paused, his fingers lingering over the text as if seeking a moment of clarity. “ And simply out of nowhere, he began to use his knowledge against the ones who looked up to him, using it to control rather than to teach. “
White Lily leaned in, captivated by the tragic tale unfolding before them.
The more Pure Vanilla Cookie went on through the pages of the book, the more information was being stuffed into it about this singular cookie. They hadn’t even started on the other beasts either. “ He used his knowledge against others, didn’t he? ”
“ Yes, ” Pure Vanilla replied quietly. “ He began to twist the truth, withholding information, bending it to suit his desires. His intent wasn’t to help anymore—it was to shape the world around him to his vision. It’s even rumored that Blueberry Milk Cookie was responsible for a large portion of the damage done on Earthbread without even having to lay his hands on them. . “
White Lily’s eyes widened at the revelation, even having to lift up the hair that once covered her eye so she could get a better look at the writing on the pages of the book. “ He did all that without even touching anything? ”
Pure Vanilla sighed deeply, his gaze still fixed on the page in front of him. He picked up the book, making a tiny groan from how the large weight that the book held felt on the pads of his dough, before lifting it up and scooting closer to White Lily so they could both get a better look at the information that was being thrown at them.
“ The power of knowledge is often far more dangerous than anyone realizes. Blueberry Milk Cookie’s influence wasn’t in brute force; it was in his ability to manipulate thoughts, to subtly plant ideas that would grow into destructive actions. He could speak a single word, and it would unravel the fabric of an entire kingdom, or cause a war between groups who had once been allies. His control over the flow of information, over truth itself, gave him unimaginable power. ”
White Lily shook her head in disbelief. “ So he didn’t even need to strike a blow. He just. . changed how others saw the world? ”
“ Exactly, ” Pure Vanilla said, his voice laced with a deep sadness. “ He made people question everything. Their own beliefs, and their trust in each other. He sowed seeds of doubt and fear. That’s how he brought down entire empires and toppled once-stable societies. ”
As Pure Vanilla and White Lily turned their attention back to the book, they continued to explore the stories of the other Beasts. The weight of Blueberry Milk Cookie’s fall was still fresh in their minds, but there was no time to dwell.
They had to understand the rest of the Beasts, for each of them held a crucial part of the story that was unfolding before them.
The next Beast that was mentioned in the book was the Beast of Change, a towering figure with an aura of untouchable willpower, also being commonly known as the Tide of Change.

Here's chapter 1 of my rewrite!! I'll be making a Wattpad book for this very soon so it'll be easier to find the chapters! Stay tuned for that!!

꘎♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡꘎
An eerie breeze flew gracefully through the air as King Dark Cacao Cookie and his warriors crossed the abnormally calm waters of the Licorice Sea. It was… strange, to say the least. The Licorice Sea was never this quiet… Yet, that was the least of Dark Cacao’s worries. Ever since a strange blizzard hit his kingdom, a horrifying outbreak of a pale ailment torments his faithful subjects, turning them into apathetic, deluded dogs covered in speckled bits of flour. Crumbling away day by day, with no chance of survival… The way his subjects coughed and wheezed out flour… begging for their suffering to end… forgetting their loved ones as strange selfishness took hold of their minds… It was gut-wrenching! Dark Cacao knew he must put a stop to the ailment from spreading any further and once a pharmacist informed him the source was traced back to Beast-Yeast, he knew what he must do. Though… he would rather do it on his own, he knew there was no convincing Caramel Arrow Cookie and the others.
BUMP!
The boat came to a sudden stop, causing the group to slightly lose their balance as they looked on with determination burning through their dough… They arrived in Beast-Yeast. Dark Cacao made a swift dismount, his cape flowing grandly behind him with each step he took, as he scanned the area for any hazards up ahead.
“We’ve finally made it to Beast-Yeast!” exclaimed First Watcher Caramel Arrow Cookie as she climbed out of the boat.
“But… isn’t it strange?” Inquired the Swift Dark Cacao Warrior, pulling the boat to shore. “I’ve never seen the Licorice Sea so calm! I barely felt a whisper of a breeze!”
“Right?” Remarked the Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior as he brushed himself off. “It almost felt like someone was watching over us…! Like someone expected our arrival…”
Caramel Arrow Cookie’s head darted left and right in worry, soon stopping when her eyes met with Commander Crunchy Chip Cookie, staring down at the slimy Licorice Sea below his feet.
“Crunchy Chip Cookie!” She shouted, “What are you doing?!”
“Eeugh…” Crunchy Chip Cookie sickly squeaked, “There are a bunch of Licorice Monsters… lurking in the depths of the water! All… curled up and… motionless, yet… their eyes remain unblinking and ALERT!!!” He coughed with a gag, a shiver going up his spine, “AND SOME OF THEM EVEN LOOKED AT ME!!!”
Caramel Arrow chuckled mischievously, crossing her arms with a sly smirk… oh, she knows what’s going on here. She took a step closer to her good friend, her mischievous demeanor still running rampant.
“Are you afraid, Crunchy Chip Cookie?~” She questioned smugly, “This is merely the beginning of our journey, you know!~”
“WHAT?!” Crunchy Chip squawked in denial, “No! I’m not scared! A Commander NEVER gets ‘scared’, Caramel Arrow Cookie! It was just kinda… creepy, that’s all!”
“Heh!” Caramel Arrow scoffed, her smirk growing wider, “Alright, if you say so…~”
Crunchy Chip Cookie’s eyes widened as his face contorted into an offended scowl, his eyes shooting daggers into the watcher’s soul as her smirk grew into a smug grin.
“YOU LAUGHIN’!?!?” He barked.
“Nooo! Nooo..!” Caramel Arrow squeaked, trying her hardest to stop herself from laughing. “Of course not!~”
“Silence.” Dark Cacao ordered sternly. The group quickly silenced themselves, approaching their king to hear his commands. The king lifted his hand in the air, moving it in a circular motion. “There is a thick scent of raw flour in the air… Flour fog must be nearby…”
The Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior raised an eyebrow… that didn’t sound good at all… That fog was ripe with the pale ailment, he was sure of it and there was no way on Earthbread he was going to get infected. He looked to the king and asked;
“Won’t we be infected with the Pale Ailment if we come into contact with the fog, Your Majesty…?”
“Yes…” Dark Cacao affirmed, “That fog is the same that hit the Dark Cacao Kingdom not too long ago… It is dangerous to continue forward… Only a fool would venture into it without proper protection…”
The Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior sighed, his hand stroking his mustache. It was a good thing he came prepared…! The warrior quickly pulled a bag off of his shoulders and placed it gently on the ground, searching through it persistently.
“Hey!” Crunchy Chip Cookie looked on with confusion, “What’s the bag about?”
“It’s a bag I have prepared before our voyage to Beast-Yeast, Commander!” The Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior replied, “It has everything a warrior would need when venturing to an unknown land: Water, Food, First Aid, Compas, a map of Beast-Yeast…!” He sighed as he pulled out a strange tablet, “You never know what will happen, so it’s best to come prepared!”
“That’s… honestly really smart.” Crunchy Chip Cookie admitted, side-eyeing Caramel Arrow with an accusatory glare, “How come YOU didn’t prepare a bag, First Watcher?~”
Caramel Arrow Cookie glanced back at the commander with a very unamused look, knowing full well the idea of preparing a bag didn’t cross Crunchy Chip Cookie’s mind either. Crunchy Chip smirked victoriously, looking back at Dark Cacao and the others with a triumphant exhale from his nose. The Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior handed the tablet over to Dark Cacao Cookie to let him examine it.
“This is a cacao tablet the pharmacists prepared for our voyage.” The warrior explained, “They said it should help keep our heads clear, even through the fog.”
“Hm…” Dark Cacao grunted in approval, “Very well.” The king broke the tablet apart into smaller pieces for the group to share. “Let us share this tablet.” He declared as he passed out a piece to his warriors.
The group each took a piece of the tablet, took a bite, and swallowed it… Well, to the best of their ability. Unknown to them, the tablet was the most bitter thing they had ever tasted! It was as if spite had a flavor! The warriors recoiled from the taste as they tried their hardest not to spit it out or vomit!
“EUAAAAAGH!!!” The Swift Dark Cacao Warrior gagged, “SO BITTER!!! What on Earthbread was that thing MADE of?! Disappointment and broken dreams?! Not even the cacao nibs I first ate as a child were this bad!!”
The Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior reluctantly swallowed his piece, beating his chest to make sure it would stay down. “I knew it would be bitter, but, not THIS terrible!” The warrior sighed, “I suppose they had to make it extra bitter so that we’d keep our senses…”
“Eugh…!” Crunchy Chip Cookie nauseously swallowed as he tried his hardest to keep his piece down, “M-Mmmmmm!!” He sickly smiled with a thumbs up, “T-That was so good! Y-you’re all so–HIC!! Weak….!”
While the boys struggled to keep their pieces in, Caramel Arrow Cookie looked on with worry as the thick flour fog crept closer and closer to their location. They had to get moving, and fast before the fog swallowed them whole.
“Your Majesty, up ahead!” Caramel Arrow said, her bow pointing toward the fog’s direction as she walked in front of her king, “The white fog is coming right at us like a huge wave!”
The king looked on as the fog drew closer with each gust of wind. “You are right. We will be swallowed up by the fog at this rate…! Everyone! Stay close together, stay alert, be on your guard, and do not lose your way!”
“Don’t worry, Your Majesty!” Crunchy Chip boasted confidently, “This’ll be a piece of cake! Nothing my instincts can't guide me through!”
With pride in each step, Crunchy Chip stood proud and tall in front of the group, which made Caramel Arrow Cookie’s eyes roll to the back of her head. The commander turned around with a confident glimmer in his eye, pointing to himself as he puffed out his chest with conviction.
“Just follow me!” He declared with an assured smile on his face, “My senses are as good as the Cream Wolves themselves!” The Commander turned back around and marched forward, his self-confidence practically radiating light off of him.
“That cookie is going to get himself lost…” Caramel Arrow sighed, her words hiding under her breath.

Shadow Milk update story prediction (because the Wind Archer teaser has me brainrotten once more):
PV is separated from the others and has to traverse the Spire of Truth and Deceit by himself. When he reaches the top, he’s tricked into thinking they were dead after running in to help him (except that never happened because Shadow Milk locked the entrance shut right after pulling PV in via magic), and is shown an illusion of them berating him and blaming him for their “deaths”. He breaks down crying and Shadow Milk creates the Avatar of Destiny as a visual (or sorta-but-not-really-physical) representation of his worst traits, and how deep-down he was always a monster, just like him
Then PV fights it, gets his magical girl transformation and wins. Then he’s reunited with his homies and starts breaking down again out of joy and shock which shouldn’t come as a surprise because he was tricked into thinking they were literally fucking dead
Dawg I literally have a dialogue-only fic based solely on how this could go
