Have some Rewrite Dark Cacao

First drawing of 2025-

Wow, finally decided to draw something lol. I decided to draw more of my version of Awakened Dark Cacao, which, for now at least, will be called "Rewrite Dark Cacao" because this redesign is now canon to my rewrite! I wanted to draw my Dragon Lord Dark Cacao showing off his silly abilities, like distorting his face to look like his berserk form and summoning his berserk claws.

I have seen some critiques of my redesign and, while I personally still like it, understand where some of you guys are coming from. The main critique I've seen (that also came from a good friend) stated that the redesign simplified Dark Cacao's hanbok a wee bit too much. Which, I completely understand.

I originally wanted the outfit to look like a mix of hanbok and a samurai outfit (similar to the Vocaloid, Gakupo) but, it didn't turn out too well now that I'm looking at it more lol. So, I tweaked the design a little and added a half-hanbok with a design similar to the Canon design but less cluttered. Which, I think looks a lot better. Everything else looks the same as the original redesign lol.

So for the Legacy of Cacao au, Dark Cacao and Dark Choco are gonna be part kirins. Idk if this is how I'll always draw them in non related aus/in general, but still, I think they turned out kinda cute.

Will make a digitalized one soon when motivation hits me again.

But yeah, for those who can't read the small text, don't worry, I've got you covered right here:

My idea is that as the generations pass, the cookies look more and more humanoid compared to the original kirin, should they mate with non kirins.

Idk if Dark Choco has the ability to transform into their beast form, it's still up to debate, but his horn is much shorter compared to his predecessors.

Btw, the horns on Dark Cacao's first sketches aren't the ones I'm gonna be using. It'll be the ones that are present on the family image right at the bottom. Also gonna give his crown a bit of a redesign too.

Cacaofruit is around 6'10, Cacao is 6'6, and Choco is 6'3.

If you're curious as to how tall *Grape Choco is compared to them- he's much shorter, being around 5'8.

Yes, they do have nirik forms, like the mlp au, but I have yet to draw them.

So yeah, that's the update on their designs for the au.

Edit: Removed the drawing of Dark Choco's scars. I think I'd rather have a separate post for those explanations there.

ok so: Beast-Ancients Swap AU but actually the Beasts messed up the timeline and made it one

I am Very bad at concise descriptions but basically: "5v5 climactic final showdown occurs but the bad guys win and then the group consensus on what to all do together to compromise thanks to slightly different priorities is 'Hey we all really hate the ancients now so let's just like. Screw them over' so they basically used their combined virtues' powers or something (look all of this I came up with just to justify the AU's actual concept) to like reset and alter the timeline to swap their places with the ancients basically. and then they kinda accidentally get redemption arc'd in the process. Meanwhile the og ancients... are not happy"

I'm def gonna post more about these guys in the future (and also I like. Encourage people to send asks because I need enrichment dndndnmd! I have a ton of stuff sitting around about them and I love talking about them- so. Here's my attempt at an overview (I. Suck at being concise this took all day to not make way too long dndndndm):

Shadow Milk Cookie - Calls himself the Dark Moon Magician. He's quite braggadocious and more than a little mischievous, quite the show-off too, but he has a good heart down there (nowadays). Though he has often had to be badgered by the Light of Truth into actually telling the truth on things...

Eternal Sugar Cookie - You'll meet them someday. Just not now.

Mystic Flour Cookie - Her face and voice do not do much to express how much she despises the Cookie she used to be, and the Cookie she still sees whenever she looks in the mirror. She is the most eager to come clean to her Cookies, but something is holding her back... she decides to save it for when she has finally repented enough by her standards, to earn her position as queen. It's never enough.

Burning Spice Cookie - For the kingdom he rules, you may (or may not) be surprised seeing how little he cares for material riches. To him, lived experiences are the most precious things- hence why he's always looking for a good fight. Or to just have fun with those close to him- which is not many as he has had a history of issues- after all, transient things fall to time, but the impressions they leave can last up to forever...

Silent Salt Cookie - The fallen hero. It wasn't supposed to happen again. They all knew it could happen, they agreed to prevent it. Why did they make the same mistake...?

Pure Vanilla Cookie - The embodiment of the most common lie. He can string Cookies up to make them move and speak against their wills. He does this to himself often, when he grows tired. He is very ashamed of what he has become, but no matter, he will be fine once he regains the light of Truth, and exposes the truth of this world to all Cookiekind...

Hollyberry Cookie - Berry juice is a comfort to her, such is why she had wished so badly to drown her mind and all her pain in it. She is... frankly, harmless the way she is now. She doesn't have the power, pride or energy to fight. Her heart is just as full of love as it's always been, even if her mind's gone fluffy as frosting. So much that even being in a permanent stupor won't stop her from missing her family, still...

Dark Cacao Cookie - As he describes himself fully, an empty vessel without a will of his own, whose only goal is to carry out the will of fate. He will play his part in this story, for he knows there is no other way. After all, they'd tried to resist already, and it was all in vain. He is cold, empty, such was his resolve: to be unburdened by feeling, so that he would feel no pain...

Golden Cheese Cookie - Calls herself the Demonic Goddess. When she gets upset, she tends to fly into fits of destruction- which she has become very, very good at causing. She laughs it off, she laughs a lot in general, but she really does not like what she's become. However, she is still the same greedy Cookie as she always was, and still wants nothing more than to annihilate the ones who had displaced her and her friends and take back what is rightfully hers...

White Lily Cookie - Founder of the Lily Kingdom. She is a stern, serious figure who tries to keep everything under her control. She quickly silences those who tell her what she does not wish to hear untrue, unkind, or unnecessary things. She does not get very openly emotional often, and tends to address everyone with the same attitude even if it's her friends. (They can generally tell when she means well). She plans to silence all lies from Cookies' mouths, especially regarding who the "Heroes" and "Beasts" are...

Well I mean. I think regular BS is hot and he's a mass murderer so I guess I'm not really one to talk

He doesn't NEED to eat people (at least... not at the beginning), he just needs their blood. He just goes the extra mile because he is that vile and hateful of a person. (Might be a pinch of that curse also warping his mind further but whooooooo knooooooows)

He still tries to go hunting at night, even despite being so weak during that time. Combination of his constant need to stave off boredom like the selfish, ungrateful brat he is + insatiable bloodlust and penchant for random violence + actually, legitimately increasingly insatiable hunger/thirst for blood and flesh

Nobody really knows what's wrong with him because he honestly doesn't behave that differently. Shadow Milk knows but does nothing to help because he's an asshole and he thinks it's funny to see Spice like this

Added element of human (cookie ig idk) sacrifice in Wild Spice culture in this AU, both as a punitive measure (anger me = I devour you and your loved ones) and as a more general form of worship and appeasement (also, live sacrifices vastly preferred)

Again, he majorly leans on the Soul Jam as a crutch at night. It keeps him warm and maintains what little strength he has left that has not been drained by the night/moon. And then he still tries to abuse it as much as possible by pushing himself to his limits (and often beyond. Dumbass)

If he goes too long without sustenance then he becomes feral. Like, he starts losing the ability to speak coherently and shit. He pretty much devolves into a wild animal, incapable of higher reasoning until his hunger is satisfied

He doesn't necessarily care who he eats, but he does prefer adults in their prime, if only because they're not too chewy (kids) or too dry and brittle (elderly)

Also he wants big and tough animals as meals. No deer or ducks or any other pussy shit like that. Either hunt down an elephant for him or kys (you're welcome to do that as well tbh. Your guts can be garnish for the elephant or something)

Thought of adding shippy stuff but decided to let you and others have this cursed lore by itself

Saint Vanilla Cookie, after deducing that the horrors and cruelty of the world are caused by the darkness in cookies' dough, formed a messiah complex. Believing he is the only one who can save Earthbread, his extreme compassion for the happiness of cookies has made him an angel of death; though he believes he is purifying those he touches, he believes their cries of pain from their disintegrating bodies are simply a part of the healing process. He has brought his willing followers to salvation, and seeks to do the same for all of cookiekind.

Midnight Lily Cookie became the new monarch of the Faerie Kingdom after the death of Elder Faerie Cookie. When she turned to the path of darkness, her fiercely loyal subjects followed with her, sworn to protect her at all costs. While she holds no ambitions for conquest, she has vowed to assert the influence of her kingdom across Beast Yeast on her own terms, and to put an end to the false enchantress who shares her being.

Dragonberry Cookie reinstated herself as the monarch of her kingdom, keeping the royal family under her thumb and influence. Her passion for strength and combat drew her attention to the Red Dragon, whose power became her obsession. Now, she seeks to know how to become a great beast herself, and will do anything to achieve it; even keeping the Red Dragon shackled underneath the castle as it’s studied day in and day out.

Frigid Cacao Cookie learned to tame the Licorice Sea that had threatened his kingdom for eons; however, something of either his design or an external force led to the entire Cacao Kingdom freezing over. Cacao sat idly by as this happened, unmoving from his great throne with his head slouched and eyes unreadable. He has resigned himself to extreme solitude, but the swirling black ocean does his bidding in his favor.

Celestial Cheese Cookie never moved on from the truth. In fact, she chose to build everything from the ground up. How wonderful! She can bring her grand design to Earthbread itself, sharing her brilliance with all of cookiekind. Of course forging a new empire will come with resistance, but she is well prepared. For the devout, they will be graciously rewarded; the dissenters will become decorations. With the ability to summon as many arms as she needs, she can turn anything to gold with a simple touch.

With five new Beasts loose on earthbread, the fight to save it has become much, much harder…
