*Afghan bread or Nan-i-Afgani* Commonly known as naan is basically a kind of flatbread/roti served with most of the meals. It is oval or rectangular shaped baked in tandoor. Black Cumin or caraway seeds are often sprinkled on the bread for decoration as well as taste. Lengthwise lines scored in the dough to add texture to the bread. The bread tastes similar to Armenian lavash bread, as well as Iranian barbari bread. It has a rich and dense taste. I am having it since childhood and like it with karipakoda, chicken curry, mutton curry. Had it recently at Jangpura, Delhi.
