It’d be a cop-out to say Smasher but honestly, it is probably him. Mutual trust and respect, knowing she can count on him for certain things and vice versa, genuinely just enjoying his company - but other than him, her best friend will likely be Michiko Arasaka sometime in the future. idk how Victoria’s story will pan out but I do intend for her and Michiko to be close by the end of it. And likely, she’ll even befriend some agents from Michiko’s agency.

As it stands now, there are very few she’d trust to be close enough to hold that title.

Standing here, being her protecter, it made Nate want to continue that. He wanted to be the one that made her happy, to protect her from the evil in the world. He wanted to be the one who got to lay his hands on her ass while making out against his car but that wasn't them. They were best friends and last night was only a one time thing. Running his finger along her skin he was tempted to lean into her and kiss her lips but he just stood there and looked at her in the eyes. ❝ Yeah. Victoria sighed, running her hands over her face. Her heart was jamming itself against her ribs, causing her head to vibrate. Her hands fell from her face, finding a spot on his chest when she felt his hand on her. She tilted her head up to look at him, taking a deep breath. Adrenaline pumped through her and she desperately wanted to close the space between them, hoping that Christian was staring out the window at them right now.

But the two of them made a promise. Last night was a one night thing. It didn't matter how much she wanted to tug him into the backseat and beg him to fuck her, erase any memory of her and Christian for good. Caspian sighs. What was his fear ? It was more of a mental thing than a physical thing. “ I am a king, a new one still, but I am worried that I am doing this wrong.” Caspian mumbled. He was just in his study room. This is where he goes when he wanted to be alone. He normally doesn’t feel this way, but he was a king who is in the highest position that the Lupine monarchy can give him. “ I am a king, but .. I hope I am not a bad one.” He walked up to the windows to see the view of the village from bellow.

Victoria smiles kindly at him. She's heard plenty about the man from Alex, and from what she's heard he seems to be kind. That's an important quality in a leader. "In my experience, bad leaders don't worry whether or not they're bad." Her father doesn't. Lucas doesn't. But he does.

"I've heard loads of good things about you, so I'm sure you'll make a good king." Alex had told her plenty about the man. And most of it had been praise. Praise that Victoria knows she does not give lightly. So yes, she is certain that he is a good person.

Victoria's perfectly manicured eyebrows lifted in mild surprise at Alara's acceptance of her offer. "Well, consider it a stroke of luck that you've stumbled upon my expertise," she chimed, a hint of pride in her voice. "I'll have you know, building a following is an art form in itself. With a flick of her wrist, Victoria gestured towards the array of nail polishes adorning the salon shelves. "And as for your nails, we'll find the perfect balance between stylish and practical.
