Hm...
What is it about the melon float that's so aesthetically pleasing?
I mean, melon isn't really a soda flavor in the US (I've only seen it as an import product), so it's not like I'm nostalgic for it or anything, but there's just something about it that I really like seeing.
The green soda topped white ice cream and the pop of red from the cherry garnish. A bonus if there's colorful sprinkles~
It's so simple, yet it's like one of my favorite things to look at.

Mai is an absolute car lover. In her time of driving, she's always loved the older model of cars; mustangs, camaro, chevelles, etc. This is a trait she picked up from her uncle, and it only carried into her adult life as well. Though, she has a preference for convertibles.

I love the idea of color display system or the digital coloring system. Like I have two options, one will make my work saturated as fuck and one will be true to what I see on the computer.

oh, great! I cleaned out all my fountain pens before we moved, and then chose just a few to take with me. plus ink, obviously.
except someone took the damn ink out of the bag I had put it in. sooo it's probably in the storage unit now and I won't see it again until April 🙃

Theres a weird trend in American adaptations of horror movies to remove culpability of the villain. Godzilla, originally an allegory for the bomb dropped on hiroshima, is perverted to be an American hero, only destroying cities and killing innocents in the name of destroying another, more dangerous, monster. Similar with 5naf, the central villain (freddy) who is supposed to represent the cheap, filthy and unsafe allegory for chucky cheese, is instead framed as a noble protector of children, stewarding them from, of course, a great, more evil threat. What started as an anamatronic that eats faces becomes a babysitter.
Frankly, america sucks at making movies because they refuse to authentically engage with their own failures and fears. This horror media that starts as an artistically valuable exporation of corporate or military abuse instead becomes about stopping the Real Bad Guys together.

I made a new friend at synagogue today! We got talking after the service and ended up going to get bagels (well, he got a bagel - I wasn't a fan of the toppings available). He converted recently, so we were able to have some interesting conversations about conversion. We exchanged numbers, and are going to meet up after services sometimes, because he goes regularly, but has just been away for a while.

Personally dislike the fact that urban street is littered with corporate storefront and franchises as the ultimate goal of economic growth and modernity. Bring back indie local store, mom and pop shop, smes, for that chaotic all-over-the-place aesthetic and actual livelihood
