To do that, you need to know some commonly used phrases, so that you sound natural. In other words, we’ll learn how to ask for…

Last week, @taylorswift released a new song that she has written and recorded for the 2022 mystery drama film 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘸𝘥𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨. It was inspired by the adventures of a young girl named Kya as she grows up isolated in the marsh of North Carolina.
“Into the mist, into the clouds
Don't leave
I make a fist, I 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩”
–Carolina (Taylor Swift, 2022)
make (something) count

Response to a question how to speak English fluently
I received the following question:
I have learned English for many years. I can read and write but have a problem to understand other people and I do not speak fluently. Is it really possible to improve? *************************************************************************
Let me explain why it happened. You think in your native language; you remembered English words as translations to your native language. When reading or writing you have enough time to translate and use English comfortably. But during a conversation, the cross-translation in your head wouldn’t work since there is no time for it. When we speak we produce about two words a second and there is no time for cross-translation; you have to think in English. 95% of adult learners have the same problem when learning English by traditional methods. This is the reason why after learning English for many years, you still can’t communicate in English.
Stop doing what you were doing and don’t blame yourself. Actually, most answers in Tumblr or Quora to this or similar questions are wrong since they propose to do the same thing again and again – to use Passive Learning that can’t teach you how to think in English.
The traditional pedagogy can’t overcome the innate habit of cross-translation and develop a habit of thinking in English.
The correct answer to the question - how to become fluent in English -should include a description of the new pedagogy of subconscious Active Learning of English skills with the following features:
·        Learn by using comprehensible multimedia input: read the text, listen to a recording of the text, and speak it simultaneously.
·        Support in the native language is recommended for mobile application based on Active Learning pedagogy since it ensures a stress-free environment and comprehensible input.
·        The mobile application lets learners add to each prerecorded lesson material of their own selection by copying and pasting (or manually entering) text and using the high-quality voice robot to perform the simultaneous repetition of the new material.
·        The mobile application uses Special English for the first ten lessons to help adults recognize, then imitate, and finally produce English phonemes. After that, regular English speech is used for active training of English skills.
·        The mobile application facilitates acquiring language patterns and intuitive grammar while the learner re-enacts comprehensible situations exclusively in English.
·        Testing active vocabulary is built into every lesson. Learners take a test after they complete each lesson by putting on earphones with a microphone and saying a few sentences on any topic from their past experience, prompted by the word that drops down randomly from the word cloud. The testing module develops the habit of thinking in English and providing automatic speech without cross-translation.
·        Use of social networking and guided learning. The program automatically determines the learner's reading fluency and gives recommendations for improving conversational skill.
To find resources which would be helpful to start re-learning using a new method, you should make a Google or Baidu search for the concept of “Active Learning of English skills.”
