I love how smart C!Rat is when it comes to other people

He knows specifically when to back off and what to say to get people to stop, he knows exactly what he’s doing and he isn’t blind-sighted by a corrupt moral code. He knows the gravity of whatever situation he’s in and he knows how to react.

He’s well aware of how SMP’s work and it’s evident from the start, “canonically” he’s already heard the stories and seen the same thing happen again and again even before all of this is created.

Even when Rat is backed into the corner he knows when to concede and what cards to draw- everyone knows he’s a villain and he doesn’t care, he only cares about himself and the people he trusts. He doesn’t pretend to get on others good sides, and he actually owns up to his mistakes when he finds a potential ally (dudes still a villain lol).
