Never forget that the F.iona C.onlon taught Race how to say “I love you” in Gaelic but told him it meant “not even God would smite you” and it started a chain reaction that led to no less than half the Brooklyn and Manhattan newsies learning Race and Spot are together but Race taugh it to Betty who in turn yelled it at Davey in a moment of frustration and it’s only through Davey correcting her and Betty throttling Race for lying to her that he learned what he had done
