No matter what happens (and I have faith that only good things are coming), we will always have THIS moment of joy. A moment they've fought for and so deserve.

And with this GOLAZO from Marianyela Jiménez, Venezuelan national team qualifies for the U20 Women World Cup🫡🇻🇪
Marianyela is too good, at just 20 years old you can see how great of a player she is and will be for la vinotinto.

South American players deserve better. I’m so tired of repeating the same shit. It’s not a coincidence that the Argentine players are asking for similar things. Conmebol is trash.

WoSo madness: Pan-American Games
If you enjoyed the WWC, give a watch to the Pan-American games! They're surrounded by bullshit controversy right now but, God dammit the girls need all the support they can get. The women's tournament includes CONCACAF (North America, the Caribbean and Central America each gets one, Canada and the US gave their spot up to concentrate on the World Cup, leaving Mexico) and CONMEBOL (selected from the 3-5th best performers in Copa America and the host nation)
Some of the biggest names in South American football continue to be banned/veto'd/overlooked for their national teams because they dare call their federations on their shit. Most recent victims of this bullshit are Argentinian players Estefania Banini (captain of the team that played the World Cup), Belén Potassa, Ruth Bravo, Gaby Garton, Sole Jaimes, and Florencia Bonsegundo (who reportedly refused to sign in solidarity) who voiced their anger during the World Cup. These athletes had to dispel rumors of injuries and club commitments to expose the corruption of the AFA, and it's utter bullshit.
On a personal note I continue to be outraged that Yoreli Rincon is still banned from Colombia's NT. What technical strategy includes banning arguably the best #10 in the country escapes me. (for Men's soccer context, it's the equivalent of leaving James Rodríguez/Leo Messi/Neymar Jr out of their NTs) The federation recently lifted the bullshit ban they had on Daniela Montoya (arguably our best midfielder and pivoting point for the whole squad), but I'm sure it includes some kind of gag clause.
The best thing we can do is show some outrage, give the nt squads support when they need it, and watch/attend games whenever possible for the clubs these girls play for!
Martha is the loudest voice we have in South America, but it's such a tragedy. All other voices are constantly silenced and slapped down with bullshit excuses and it needs to end. These girls shouldn't have to fight against their federations to play professionally.
SO LONG STORY SHORT! SUPPORT THE PAN-AMERICAN GAMES AND THE AMAZING WOMEN WHO ARE GOING OUT THERE TO DO WHAT THEY LOVE AGAINST INSURMOUNTABLE ODDS AND CRAPPY CONDITIONS!

Just imagine for a second:
Colombia wnt shows up with all its senior players, who've had full staffing and physical training and are coming off a healthy league stretch. The younglings are HYPED UP and ready to show their wunderkind powers
The coach called up players who deserved it, took off the ban for all the players who've spoken out against the federation
Sandra Sepulveda continues to bless us in goal
That's the kind of team the uswnt would be a lil more afraid to play
CONMEBOL would be a force to be reckoned with like it is for the men's game.
the day football federations in latinoamerica start caring about the women's national teams, it's over for everyone else

CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina - PARAGUAY 2017 RESCHEDULING OF MATCHES | 09.10.2017
The Directorate of Competitions of the South American Confederation of Soccer announces that it has decided to postpone for 72 hours the continuation of the CONMEBOL Women's Libertadores 2017 in Paraguay, after analyzing the report sent by the Local Organizing Committee to the Medical Commission of the CONMEBOL.
This report diagnoses a possible food poisoning of athletes of some clubs participating in the continental club competition, so the CONMEBOL Competition Directorate has asked the Local Organizing Committee, organizer of the event, to carry out the relevant investigations and corrective measures.
The decision to reschedule the matches seeks to protect the athletes and facilitate their complete recovery from a medical and competitive point of view. The competition will restart on Thursday the 12th, following the previous schedule, adjusting some dates to double days, to allow time to get back in schedule and form with the previous match program.
The new schedule will be released tomorrow, thanking all the protagonists of the competition, the understanding of this serious situation.

Catalina Usme, who says that every game they play they have to treat like a final, said to WIN SPORTS and RCN after the game:
"We are happy and all, but this cannot be our ceiling. Our ceiling is further still.
We have to put our feet on the ground again, think about England, and be very smart, because this team hasn't reached its peak yet, this team can do more.
We've played 4/ of 7, we have 3 more 'final' games to go"

You don't know how many times I hold back from saying my opinions on Twitter about football in general (whether female or male) is that the environment is super toxic and the truth is, whenever I try to respond to something, I ask myself the question if it's really worth spending my time on it😬
The last time I did something like that was last year when they were messing with Deyna Castellanos so I made a tweet about it and a man (a 40 year old man who probably has seen two matches of the women's national team in his life) insulted me about four times, told me everything and demeaned the players, especially Deyna. After that confrontation I never responded to people like that on X, I block them y ya.
And I say all of this because I was this 🤏🏻 close to arguing with someone about Frenkie de Jong and KDKFKÑKFKÑ *breathes, meditates and thinks*
It's not worth it.

I need someone to explain how we have a friendly match against Mexico as preparation for la Copa América when the Federation hasn’t even announced the new coaching staff for La Vinotinto women's team.
I mean I don’t know, it just feels like everything is being rushed.
Maybe they already know who they’re going to appoint as the head coach and everything, but still, it feels a bit improvised.
Pero buenooooO I guess we’ll just have to wait and see🫠
