Commercial LPG price increases by Rs 250; will cost Rs 2,253 from today
Tumblr media
The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG have been increased by Rs 250 per cylinder effective from Friday.
This is the second hike in a month. With this, the 19 kg commercial cooking gas will now cost Rs 2,253. The commercial LPG was increased by Rs 105 on March 1.
However, there has been no increase in the prices of domestic gas cylinders today.
Last week, the price of domestic cooking gas (LPG) was hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder. A 14.2-kg LPG cylinder is costing Rs 949.50 in Delhi from March 22 onwards.
Notably, fuel prices continue to rise with petrol and diesel rates rising by another 80 paise per litre each on Thursday, netting an increase of about Rs 6.40 a litre in nine revisions in 10 days so far.
Yesterday, staging a protest against the fuel price hike, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded the BJP-led Centre to bring the rising fuel prices under control.
Congress MPs led by Rahul Gandhi on Thursday staged a protest at Vijay Chowk on Thursday against the fuel price hike. Senior party leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Mallikarjun Kharge, Abhishek Singhvi, KC Venugopal, Shakti Sinh Gohil and others were present at the protest.
The Congress leaders protested with cutouts of LPG cylinders and placards having the slogans 'Rollback fuel price hike'.
To take on the BJP-led central government on the issues of inflation and fuel price hike, Congress has decided to launch a nationwide programme 'Mehngai Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' against price rises under which it will organise rallies and marches across the country from March 31 to April 7.

Commercial LPG price hiked by Rs. 250 per cylinder from 1st April: Check out these new rates in your city!!!
Last month, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has increased by Rs. 105 and this is now the third-highest hike in the prices of commercial cylinders. In Delhi, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs. 2253. On 1st March 2022, a commercial gas cylinder cost was around 2,012 which came down to 2,003 on 22nd march after price reduction.
The companies had also increased the price of the domestic cylinder by Rs. 50 in the last month. The prices of LPG are revised on the 1st of every month based on the benchmark fuel in the previous month. A 14.2KG non subsidized LPG cylinder now costs around Rs. 949.50 in the national capital. This was the first increase in the LPG rates since early October.
Also, this comes as a big relief for the common man because old companies had neither increased the prices of petrol and diesel nor the cost of the cylinders has been increased. But because the rates of the commercial gas cylinders had increased therefore food will now become expensive.
Over the last nine revisions in the 10 days so far, the cost of the fuel has increased to Rs. 6.40 per liter. As per price consideration, petrol in Delhi costs around Rs. 101.81 per liter after it was increased by 80 paise on Thursday.
Congress MPs led by Rahul Gandhi on Thursday staged a protest at Vijay Chown against the fuel price hike. All the senior leaders of the party have participated in this protest. They protested with cutouts on the issue of inflation of LPG cylinders, fuel price ahikes and it has placards with the slogan written ‘Rollback fuel price hike’.
In the end, the hike in the cost of commercial cylinders will have a cascading effect on the other items.

The unbridled price hike of petrol, diesel and LPG by the central government has plunged the common man into a terrible crisis. As a result of this skyrocketing price of petroleum products, ordinary people have faced a lot of problems in their daily commute. I strongly condemn one anti-people policy after another of the central government. The movement of Trinamool Congress to protest against the rise in prices of petroleum products will intensify in the coming days. Today, in protest, I rode a battery-powered e-scooter from home to Nabanna, and will take the same approach on the way back. In protest of this unimaginable price hike, I urge everyone, regardless of party affiliation, to take to the streets. https://www.instagram.com/p/CLtUJ6rBHBk/?igshid=cvt9halnpg6t
