seunghyo has abandonment issues. he witnessed his mother cheating and abandoning him in childhood. his father was too busy to be with him most of the time. him overthinking & not wanting to confess his love to seokryu is understandable considering the only genuine companionship he has ever had is at stake (including her loving family). also, he thinks she still loves her ex and someday she will again leave korea and him behind, once again.

Ep6 Love Next Door short review
I was waiting for the first confession and become angry with next week preview.
Wdym her ex is back and is this guy
I love this guy ,he's my guy from be melodramatic ..he just a great guy to play her ex but not the cheating part though
So next week going to be exes reunion week + will he finally confess?? I thought was today ..I'm disappointed
Also with so many distant and awkward moment between them..I can feel as seok ryu.
So apparently second lead couple know on first couple feeling but only the first lead don't know.
And this scene is like him got remind of his character in previous drama ' one spring night'
Really writernim making many reference of hae in drama😅
And also Yeon do mother is far away mean what ?die or really far way..still hoping for that's not his real child and he just being a step up single dad😅😅🤣🤣
Also the helping seok ryu father part was awesome ..plus point for seung hyo.
Even at some part in the ending I was thought he was gonna kiss her ..kinda feeling the vibe at the same time I was praying he don't mess up his first confession
But on next week preview..it seem like no confession will happen afterwards as the ex appear.
But there also a bicycle moment so lets pray for a smooth first confesion
Not angrily but happily..u can do it seung hyo

Which is my favorite Kdrama network?
When I'm bored I like to list and categorize things. Today I've decided to discover, statistically, which Korean drama network is my favorite based on shows I've watched.
Including both shows I've completed and shows I've dropped bc in this case, the shows I don't like are relevant.
Using my ratings from MyDramaList :) which means however I felt the first time I finished watching a show, basically. Not including networks where I've only watched one show (e.g., Disney+, Wavve, Channel A).
JTBC:
Agency--Dropped
Beyond Evil--6
Itaewon Class--Dropped
My Country the New Age--10
Private Lives--Dropped
Reflection of You--Dropped
Sisyphus: The Myth--Dropped
I can't believe this network produced My Country the New Age when everything else I've watched by them has been a flop for me. Beyond Evil came the closest to breaking the curse but even then. Itaewon Class is one of my least favorite shows I've ever tried to watch; I've forgotten most of the details now but a bad taste lingers.
KBS:
White Christmas--10
Mad Dog--8
The King's Affection--10
River Where the Moon Rises--Dropped
Should I have given River Where the Moon Rises more of a chance? Bc apparently this network only makes bangers.
MBC:
Extraordinary You--7
Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung--9
The Veil--7
Idk what to say about this one. RHGH is pretty damn good but I think I would probs like it less watching it now than I did in 2019, newish to kdramas and ready to love anything. But it's a fave regardless, and Extraordinary You and The Veil are both fairly watchable. A serviceable network.
MBN:
Perfect Marriage Revenge--Dropped
Sponsor--Dropped
A network to watch a few episodes with the desire to see dogblood plots, and then leave.
Netflix:
Bloodhounds--8
My Holo Love--Dropped
Gyeongseong Creature--Dropped
Song of Bandits--8
The Silent Sea--7
It's Netflix. I don't know that they're ever going to make a real favorite for me but they're fairly competent.
OCN:
Save Me--8
Duel--Dropped
A Superior Day--Dropped
Apparently it takes Seo Ye-ji and Woo Do-hwan's powers combined to make me finish a show by this network. You'd think it would be easier bc they seem to enjoy angst and whump, but I think they pour it on a little too thick.
SBS:
Doctor Stranger--Dropped
Lovers of the Red Sky--8
Revenant--9
The King: Eternal Monarch--7
The Killing Vote--Dropped
Remember: War of the Son--Dropped
Honestly I might come back to at least one of these dropped shows. Their track record on plots is okay, but their actors are really good.
TVN:
100 Days My Prince--Dropped
Alchemy of Souls--9
Bad and Crazy--Dropped
Circle: Two Worlds Connected--9
Confession--6
Devil Judge--9
Eve--8
Flower of Evil--10
Hotel del Luna--Dropped
It's Okay to Not Be Okay--8
Mine--8
Mr. Sunshine--8
Our Blooming Youth--Dropped
Pandora: Beneath the Paradise--Dropped
Psychopath Diary--9
Tale of the Nine-Tailed--Dropped
Clearly I just start the most show by them. Do they make the most shows? I don't know. Good concepts and good cinematic quality on most of these shows, with just a few exceptions. Pretty solid network.
Viki:
Color Rush--8
I Picked Up a Star On the Road--6
Where Your Eyes Linger--8
You Make Me Dance--6
Mixed bag.
The takeaways:
I should probably watch more KBS. On my to-watch list, that translates to Youth of May, the Bridal Mask, Hwarang, the Bloody Heart, and Orange Marmalade. So mostly historical dramas, which is a pity bc apparently I also like their thrillers.
Really, though, my to-watch list at this point has a ton of SBS and MBC on it for some reason, at least with shows that have already come out. According to my stats so far, my odds are pretty mixed on liking them or not.
Somehow, one feels, I will actually end up watching more TVN instead... but that has yet to materialize. (except the one kdrama I'm currently watching is a TVN drama. so.)
Did I really learn anything? No. and on that note, good night.

Jung Haein said, "Insomnia + panic disorder after Bob's success..."I'm scared of people"
Jung Hae-in, Struggled with Malicious Comments After ‘Something in the Rain’
Actor Jung Hae-in appeared on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ and reflected on his acting career. He shared that while gaining popularity through the drama ‘Something in the Rain’, he simultaneously struggled with a flood of malicious comments. Jung Hae-in confessed that the sudden spotlight overwhelmed him as he felt unprepared, leading to insomnia and a reclusive lifestyle. Although it felt like negative comments were everything back then, over time, he realized the importance of giving his best for the fans who supported him.
Movies, Dramas, and Real-Life Dating Rumors
Jung Hae-in took on his first villain role in the movie ‘Veteran 2’, revealing that he avoided meeting people to fully immerse himself in the character, who had narcissistic and sociopathic traits. Additionally, in the drama ‘Son of a Mom’s Friend’, he played friends and love interests with actress Jung So-min, leading to real-life dating rumors. Through these diverse projects, Jung Hae-in has shown his passion and growth in acting.
Jung Hae-in’s Responsibility as a Descendant of Jeong Yak-yong
Did you know that actor Jung Hae-in is a descendant of Jeong Yak-yong, a renowned Joseon Dynasty scholar? This isn’t just a rumor—he revealed it himself on the show. He shared that he grew up listening to stories about his family from his grandparents. However, it was only when he started studying history that he fully realized the value of his heritage. This sense of responsibility influences his behavior, making him more cautious.
Although hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho tried to lighten the mood with jokes, Jung Hae-in sincerely expressed his strong sense of duty to his family legacy. He also mentioned that YouTube frequently recommends videos related to Jeong Yak-yong, adding a humorous touch. This background might be why his acting and communication with the public seem to have gained more depth. There’s definitely more to look forward to from him!

💬 Xports [13082020]: Press Interview Highlights for #ItsOkaytoNotBeOkay, Parts 1 & 2
Actress Park Gyuyoung expressed gratitude for working with her co-stars in "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
On the 12th, Park Gyuyoung had an interview in a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, discussing the conclusion of the tvN drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
In the drama, she played the role of Nam Juri, a mental health nurse. She portrayed a character who is an old friend of Go Moonyoung (played by Seo Yeji) and has an unrequited love for Moon Gangtae (played by Kim Soohyun). Notably, her character switches dramatically when drunk, seamlessly transitioning between innocence and comedy.
Park Gyuyoung remarked, "The 16 episodes seemed long, but ended so quickly. I feel both regret and pride, as the show received a lot of love." She added, "Not just my friends, but their friends watched it too. Even parents' friends were watching.
When asked about the most memorable feedback, Park Gyuyoung recalled, "I played characters in previous works, and people didn't realize they were all played by the same person. That reaction was memorable."
She also expressed her gratitude to co-stars Kim Soohyun, Seo Yeji, Kim Mikyung, and others. "I felt lucky to work with such seniors. The set was wonderful. Initially, I was hesitant about how to approach them, but they came forward and engaged in conversation, helping me act comfortably."
Especially about working with Kim Mikyung, she said, "There was a scene where I honestly expressed my feelings to my mother. Acting with seniors can be daunting, but she made it so comfortable. She created an atmosphere where I could act however I wanted."
The most memorable scene for her was being rejected by Moon Gangtae. She felt it best represented Nam Juri's emotions.
"Juri had a long unrequited love, and there's a scene where she gets harshly rejected, even to the ends of the earth. She confesses again on a rooftop and gets turned down. Despite this, she says, 'I just hope I don't become a burden and make you run away.' It was a hard line to say, but I think it well expressed Juri's feelings."
She particularly excelled in scenes where her character dramatically changed after drinking, effortlessly moving between innocence and comedy. Park Gyuyoung, who convincingly played a drunk character, admitted that she actually doesn't drink well in real life. She shared, "I thought of Juri's scenes as the only moments where she could truly express herself, so I really let go in my acting. I thought if Juri was usually reserved and restrained, then I needed to release pent-up energy in these scenes."
She added, "When I was acting, the staff would often laugh. I drew strength from that and tried hard to make it enjoyable."
Asked about the most memorable direction from director Park Shinwoo, Park Gyuyoung said, "The director completely trusted me and told me to do as I wished. There wasn't any specific direction to do this or that."
She continued, "In the scene where I had to touch fingers with Sangin (played by Kim Joohun), showing that our characters connected, the director gave very detailed directions, even to the nano level. That made me realize how meticulous he is."
Discussing the real-time drama talk and viewer reactions, Park Gyuyoung recalled, "What stayed with me was when people said, 'I didn't realize this person was the same person.' Seeing that people felt the emotions I intended in the scenes I was nervous and burdened about gave me confidence."
With the drama's popularity, her fan base has understandably grown. Park Gyuyoung laughed, saying, "A long-time fan said, 'It's fun to have someone to talk to now, instead of just talking to a wall.'
