I wanted to make a separate post about this in response to what I reblogged from @salt-of-the-ao3 just now:

I think that everyone who feels they can tell authors to stop asking for feedback, or shame them for doing so, or leave negative (non-concstructive, nor well-meaning) reviews, to none at all, really need to try writing first.

If you’ve run the gammit and sunk in the hours, days, weeks, months to churn out your own 100k+ baby, then absolutely you’ve earned the ability to say what you will.

But I’m betting you’d be less likely to be callous.
