One of the interesting bits of trying to resume working on the game after so long is looking back at my ancient Draft Placeholder versions of an image from 4 yrs ago trying to remember what the hell I meant back then, to hopefully interpret it into some more final (ish..) form of the same thing .. making slow progress lol

i had soooo many ideas for this - different plotpoints as separate novels, each of them with a title screen that changes over time depending on how far you get into the story

L'Manberg changing from a small wooded area with several houses into the expansive country that was Manberg, until it eventually turns to New L'Manberg - all the shots from the same perspective, just of different periods of time

the disc wars, or Dream's story, being presented through the changes in the Community House - first an empty lake when you first boot up the game, then the Community House of the early chapters with Dream sitting on the roof, until he suddenly isn't there anymore, and then the Community House falls apart and has water streaming down the broken bricks, and then, eventually, a new one takes its place, but it's empty and artifician

the Egg Arc told through images of the server as the blood vines slowly crawl closer and closer, enveloping the paths and houses

This is how I want my SMT to look visually and play overworld wise. NINE has the perfect fixed camera angles + pre rendered background look. Like a slight evolution of the PS2 era megaten games. It’s gorgeous. I have some screenshots I wanna try drawing over for fun to get an idea how I want things to look too.

had a dream about Barbie: Shadow of War

The title screen opened with the title sliding in from the left, then Bursting to light up the rest of the screen, revealing the main menu and the silhouette of a woman driving a mech while packing an arm-sized erection.

The story of the game was kinda paint-by-numbers, female mech pilots with huge cocks, piloting mecha frames called 'neo-scouts' (pretty baller name for mechs actually, not bad my subconscious!) fighting to defend the future from an alien threat. Occasionally it would fllash back for long periods to the 'past', which mostly consisted of barbie high school girls fighting and bickering. Each past section would always end with the 'memory' burning away to reveal the next Future mission.
