Well, the goat puppets existence are a metaphor for Comptom's lack of confidence, need for approval and also the external pressure he feels over him. So, in a scenario where Comptom wouldn't have improved these issues (at least not enough to the goats fade away) after Raz visited his mind, I guess he would try to slowly address them.

After Raz had entered his mind, he would see the situation in a different way for sure! Specially when Raz tried so hard to show him how capable he truly was - so even without completely addressing his insecurities, at least Comptom would be more prepared to do so. How? By talking with the goat puppets and impose himself against them. Yeah, that's what he would do! He's not an agressive dude! 😅
