The Galileo Museum contained many amazing inventions that set stage for many of the items we use today. One of the items that really caught my attention was the Armillary Sphere, along with all the maps of the world they had made. These spheres are just incredible because they were trying to image the shape of world and where all this land was located within the world. What is amazing about these spheres is that they did not have telescopes at the times that the first ones were being made, so how were they supposed to know the shapes of these countries. Some of these spheres also included some of the astronomical aspects like the placements of the moon, stars, suns, and a few planets. The time period that these were made their thoughts of the world were completely different, which is why a lot of the geography and other parts of the spheres are wrong. The compound microscopes they had made are so different from the ones used today, but they made so many discoveries with these older microscopes. These microscopes could only be so clear because of the limited amount of technology they had at the time, but they worked with what they had and made incredible discoveries with these older model microscopes. All these older inventions that these people used are amazing technological advances of their time, and sometimes I wish that I could go back in time and get to use these inventions because in a way they are so different compared to what we use in modern times.
