mercs as cat breeds + kitty merc headcanons
inspired by/in collaboration with @joonliebe (i changed a few of them sorry pookie 💔)
kitty headcanons are from my cat fortress AU where all the mercs are cats that are foster fails because nobody wants those motherfuckers and now miss pauling is stuck with them all
Tumblr media
spy ▪︎ persian - fancy and high maintenance. the signature bond villain cat
likes to be alone. needs to be taken to the groomer once a week or he gets pissed off and starts tearing up the couch. he has a very strict schedule and if his terms are not followed he throws a tantrum. he also sneaks out of the house and dissapears frequently. a dick to the rest of the cats, except scout for some reason.
heavy ▪︎ siberian - big boys with big coats, comes from siberia
the most well behaved cat there. scarred up and scary looking from his time in the pound, but he's suprisingly very quiet and peaceful. naturally chunky and big boned. miss pauling's favorite. he's a bonded pair with medic, they can normally be found grooming each other. he tends to wrangle scout when he's being too much, he doesn't like to see miss pauling stressed.
pyro ▪︎ sphynx - just a weird lookin thing. also an affectionate and energetic breed that likes to wreak havoc
peculiar little intersex kitty covered in burns, owners died in a house fire (that she may or may not have caused). both eyes are gone, but she navigates just fine. knows how to turn the stove on and has set multiple small fires. miss pauling puts him in cute little sweaters since he doesn't have any fur to keep him warm.
sniper ▪︎ savannah - hybrid of a house cat and a wild serval
very solitary, like spy, but not hostile to the others. owners were an old couple that died and it shook up the already shy cat. miss pauling doesn't need to feed him like the others since he sneaks out and hunts his own meals. almost completely silent unless he's sitting at the window and chirping at birds. evident dislike for spy. quiet and low maintenence so not a huge headache, but he tracks mud in the house. he's very skittish too, runs off or hides whenever there's company.
medic ▪︎ turkish angora - graceful. very majestic. cunty, even
on paper, he seems like a very good cat! he's an ex-service animal that still carries out some service tasks, like deep pressure therapy when miss pauling is getting anxious or retrieving stuff. only problem is that he loves bringing dead things inside, and he goes out of his way to rip it to shreds and get blood and guts ALL over the house. he also has a temper issue, and he needs little kitty glasses because his eyesight is shit.
engineer ▪︎ munchkin - haha short legs!! oh yeah, and they're pretty smart
used to be a workshop cat around for pest control, lost a leg in an accident. workshop guys gave him a kitty sized hardhat he gets very upset without. he's got a hard time jumping up on stuff since he not only has short legs, but he's got a prosthetic one too, so miss pauling made him a few kitty staircases up to his favorite spots. he likes stealing tools from neighbors and and scrap metal from outside and stashes them under the couch.
demoman ▪︎ scottish fold - scottish, prone to eye problems
missing an eye and has some singed fur from teens with fireworks. little kitty eyepatch. he frequently gets into the bailey's irish cream miss pauling keeps on top of the fridge and has to be brought to the vet for liver issues at least once a month.
soldier ▪︎ ragdoll - developed in america !!🇺🇸 tend to rough house when playing and are very vocal
used to belong to a war veteran, then became a stray after he died. clipped ear. his body's kept shaved because of scarring and matting issues, so he's got furry boots and a puffball tail, but the fur on his noggin covers his eyes. he frequently bothers the others. a big sweetheart for miss pauling, but agressive with anyone else. likes fetch. dog in a cat body.
scout ▪︎ siamese - the extroverts of the cat world, very energetic and chatty, also very clever.
his ma and brothers are all siamese, but he's got an oddly fluffy tail like a persian.. he's a big fan of miss pauling, never leaves her alone. gets pissy and scratches the curtains or breaks a glass when she's giving one of the other cats too much attention. wayyy too clingly and always causing some sort of trouble or getting into places he shouldn't. he also meows CONSTANTLY.

Hey, again love your recs! I'm completely in love with Drarry because of these lovely stories. Wondering, an recs with a rugged Harry/ Draco ( as in manual labour), and always sweet and smutty is always a win. I appreciate your time, thanks a bunch!
Thank you anon, I’m happy to hear that! Ohh very interesting ask, here are some E-rated fics for you. You might also enjoy this list with buff!Draco 🫡
Hot Metal by @bafflinghaze (E, 5k)
Harry Can’t Deal with the vision of Malfoy hot and sweaty at work in his blacksmithing forge. Meanwhile, Draco is entirely perplexed with Potter’s odd behaviour.
Heart to Hearth by @jtimu (E, 7k)
It should perhaps not have been a surprise that the repairman on his front step came not with coveralls and a toolbox but instead with a sardonic stare and a raised eyebrow. Harry stood in his open door and shut his mouth with an effort.
Wield Me by @tackytigerfic (E, 10k)
Draco Malfoy, blacksmith, is renowned through the magical world for his skill and exquisite creations. He could quite easily spend the rest of his days making pretty trinkets for the fae court, and being handsomely rewarded for the privilege. But why take the easy route when instead he could get involved in a dangerous mission with Unspeakable Harry Potter (who also happens to be Draco's... well, he's something, isn't he?).
Hippomancy for Beginners by khalulu (E, 11k)
When Draco desperately insists on becoming a Centaur Liaison, he doesn’t know what he’s getting into, especially with that annoying hero-turned-hermit Harry Potter living right at the entrance to the Forbidden Forest. Not to mention foreign unicorn women, slavering three headed beasts, bitter brews, unexpected friendships, and the consequences of a very cocky vocabulary.
Voices From The Fog by noeon (E, 13k)
After years of running away, Harry crosses paths with an all-too familiar face and follows him to Amsterdam.
One Floo Over the Lovegood’s Nest by Nattish (T, 14k)
Harry is not terribly surprised that there are magical plumbers, chimney sweeps, and pest control men. He is surprised that one of them is Draco Malfoy. And that he’s bloody hot in a jumpsuit.
Phoenix Repair Services by carpemermaid (E, 20k)
Draco hires a suspiciously private wizarding handyman to fix his kitchen when he returns home to find it destroyed. He expects a middle-aged wizard with greying hair and a pudgy gut to show up. Instead, he gets Harry Potter—with a utility belt and a charming smile—who is more attractive than he has any right to be.
Here Be Dragons by birdsofshore (E, 21k)
Harry doesn’t want to waste his time investigating illegal dragonhide trading, whether it involves a fetish club in Knockturn Alley or visiting a remote island in Wales. Why the bloody hell does Malfoy always have to be up to something?
Kept in Cages by @sweet-s0rr0w (E, 77k)
Deep in the heart of the Ministry lies the Beast Division: a hidden room where ancient beasts roam, and winged creatures soar, and grumpy giant ferrets eat all your biscuits unless you keep them well hidden. Draco Malfoy would know – he’s been working there for five years now, after all.
I Am Not Who I Became by mab_di (E, 93k)
Draco left England after the trials and has travelled the world meeting wizards and Muggles from different cultures and with vastly different relationships to magic, each other, and the natural world. Now he's a fisherman in Finland on commercial vessels. Harry has been struggling since the war and has become a recluse while trying to write his autobiography.

Fuck it ima put it out anyway.
COTL AU where instead of staying in the cult Narinder leaves and builds his own little plot of land that becomes a rare occurrence you find while crusading through the different biomes post game.
Tumblr media
Like it starts off when the lamb like spares Narinder and he’s like sent to the cult. And is in such a state of shock and bewilderment of what just happened that he doesn’t really know that the lamb is setting up their wedding until he’s at the alter. And he just SNAPS. To trade one prison for another? And to be stuck with the same being that not only took your crown, but your title as the god of death as your jailer? No thank you. Proceeds to walk out while the service is still going.
(I’m not the kind of person to think that he would be murdering or plotting to kill the lamb at every turn or possibly. No I would think that Narinder is smart enough to realize that he cannot fight the lamb in the condition that he is reduced to.)
Anyway, I want Narinder to experience life post-godhood by himself outside the cult. Maybe progressing over time you see how his plot of land develops into a pretty nice home for himself complete with a garden and an actual building/house. Not a hut, but an actual house.
All the while the lamb is going through it. It’s normal game play like one would post Narinder fight. Lore, upgrades, reviving the bishops, mystic seller, etc. All the while experiencing the highs and lows of ascension. I think the lamb would ask the other bishops once they get indoctrinated of how they went through their ascensions went. Only they would tell them that each went through theirs differently, so in the end it wasn’t really helpful.
So going through a process that you have no idea how to get through and the only person who does has fuck off into the land and hates your guts. Really fucking sucks man. So they try to “catch” Narinder while out crusading. Only they don’t find him physically, they find his place of residence while he is away.
I thought of a way to incorporate the quests that Narinder gives you when he is usually established in the cult. Could still be used: like there’s a book left on a table where you could peak in and see what’s going on with the cat that is currently away from his house.
“ I should head to Darkwoods and see if I can find more materials to build that fence and make more paper. Moving materials from one abandon home stead to this place has been challenging enough. My arms hurt after years of being bound to one position for so long...I wonder if camellias still bloom there now that Leshy is gone? If not I’ll have to develop a new alternative for this persistent strain and sharp pains I keep having. Got to get these walls up before it starts raining.”
“Bah! There’s not enough food at the last abandoned settlement let alone seeds. It’ll take long of a walk all the way to smuggler’s cove just to see if that sea louse got any thing. And it hasn’t been that long since the depletion of fish at pilgrim’s passage. I would have just stuck to what vegetables and berries I’ve got growing, but some animal or heratic keeps getting into my garden and stealing my food!when I find the person or thing that is stealing from me I’m going to make them into my fertilizer. In the meantime I should look into Anura and see if those foul mushrooms are still there. If I remember they are just as foul as Hecket when she would screamed about being hungry during dinner…Those should hold me over until I get this unwanted pest under control.”
“The wind and rain coming in through the holes on the side of the house that I use to see if any heretics come to kill me, has gotten too much. I’m tired of having to clean up the puddles of water that enters the home. And the curtains don’t do much in terms of trying to block both of these elements. That stupid squid Kallamar doesn’t need his crystals now that he’s gone. It didn’t help him when trying to hide from me. I’ll go to Anchordeep tomorrow and get some to make crystal windows. They sure would make it more beautiful than their temple…”
“Finally the loom is ready. It’s been a such a long time since I had decent robes. It’s easy to find cotton, but what I really want is a nice, soft, silk robe. One that doesn’t rub against these scars preferably. I miss the old one Shamura they made with their silk. But, that one got destroyed in the fight with that damn vessel. Maybe there is some in Silk Cradle. ”
(I’ll come back to this when I flesh it out more via work time daydreams)

A COURT OF SHADOWS AND BLOOD PART 2
Tumblr media
If there's really a Mother up there, she definitely has a twisted sense of humour.
He still doesn't know whether to laugh or punch a wall at his discovery. Laugh at the absurdity of the situation. Rage because he should've known much sooner.
No humans cross the Wall and live to tell. The natural Fae essence devours them eventually, their fragile mortal bodies unable to resist it. Unless they're not normal humans, unless they have some special ability that gives them an advantage.
Now he knows why his little pet managed to pass the Wall despite her obvious weakness.
She has the Sight. Or the True Eye, according to ancient references.
It's a rare gift. Humans born with an innate immunity against Fae magic, allowing them to see through glamours and spells as they're not affected by them.
It also makes them immune against daemati.
He lays against a wall, his head down as he chuckles silently, humourlessly.
Curse his luck. And curse his own foolishness. He should've known from their first meeting. He should've realized her mind was eerily silent. Normally, he can hear people's minds from a mile away, even more if they're humans. But he didn't hear anything back then, and it didn't catch up to him until he finally tried to enter her mind back at his chambers.
Instead of images and feelings, he encountered a solid wall. And silence. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't even cause a small crack in her shield, to catch a glimpse of her mind. Just darkness and silence.
What was she said back there?
'You'll get nothing from me. I'll never give you anything'
She was right.
He inhales deeply through his nose, the realization leaving a bitter taste. It’s laughable how he’d thought she was just a feisty human with no sense of self-preservation. But turns out she's so much more—a rare gem hidden behind the stain of mortality. The answer had been in front of his eyes and he missed it, distracted by her sharp tongue and burning eyes.
The Sight, a gift so uncommon it's nearly a myth, granting her immunity from all Fae influence. He can’t unravel her with his usual methods. No amount of pushing and twisting would break her shield.
His gaze flickers toward the room where she's bound, chained in his bed, a slight grin of resignation crossing his face. This little twist supposes a change in his original plans, but certainly not an obstacle. She’s an enigma, and he can't wait to peel her layers back, find what else she's hiding from him.
There’s still tension, a frustration he can’t fully shake. After all, this turns the game on its head. He is no longer in complete control here. He can't keep her in check the way he's used to. Can't just make her play along easily.
No. This is going to be harder than he imagined. He'll have to take a different approach this time around.
The idea excites him more than it should.
We're going to have fun, little thing.
Ever since he brought the human to his chambers, he's been waiting for the shoe to drop. To be questioned about his intentions, and maybe bring his new pet to her, to judge whether she's worthy of staying in her court.
But nothing.
Amarantha hasn't asked him anything, just expecting the same usual 'service' from him. The Attor, that annoying pest of hers, tries to get under his skin here and there, but overall he hasn't let on any hint that he knows something. If anyone is aware of the human in his chambers, they've keeping the information to themselves.
He's being actively concealing her scent with the wards he set on his quarters, but it's not permanent. His magic is not what it used to be. If she so much takes a step outside the room, anyone within a ten-milius radius would smell her. And then it'll be only a matter of minutes until she knows.
Maybe it's for the best, he thinks. It was a pain to bring the fiesty creature here, in the utmost secrecy. The bitch's security is sharp, and while his loyal shadows helped him, he knows he wouldn't do it a second time.
Then why does he still bother? What's stopping him from letting the truth out?
'Because it's my first chance in fifty years to have something that's entirely mine. My own, untainted secret.'
Everything he's loved has been taken from him or ruined while he's been here. All that surrounds him is her property, her domain. Even the privileges he enjoys above the others are only thanks to her authority. It's the rule.
But this human, this mortal creature with fire in her eyes, will belong to him. As long as no one else sees her, she's his.
The thought both thrills and haunts him. He's taking a huge risk by keeping her hidden like this, perhaps the greatest he's ever taken in fifty years. It’s foolish, bordering on suicidal. Yet the satisfaction he feels at knowing she's beyond her grasp is something he hadn’t felt in a long while—a small, defiant act of control.
The shadows swirl around him, shifting and almost restless. It's like they know him, understand the stakes even without words. The shadows don’t question, don’t judge. They’re the only things he can trust in this wretched place. But keeping this secret requires something even they can’t provide—carefulness, patience. Traits that he's always possessed in abundance, yet have been stretched to their limit since she appeared.
He casts a glance toward the hall that leads to his quarters. According to Cerridwen and Nuala, she has fallen asleep already, her exhaustion finally taking over her fragile body.
Her life hangs by a thread every moment she’s here. If anyone found out… it would be over in an instant. It'll be harsh punishment for him, and gruesome death for her.
Still, he can’t bring himself to regret his choice.
He sends a message to their minds, a new order regarding his little pet. As much as it amuses him seeing her thrash in that wild, messy state of hers, he can't allow his toys to remain so dreadfully...unkempt.
A wicked grin spreads across his face as he imagines her reaction. His new gift is intended to placate her a bit, but it's mostly for his own personal enjoyment. She's clearly someone who holds her pride above all else, so she’ll undoubtedly reject his present with all her might, despite the honor it represents
But there’s nothing she can do against the wraith sisters. Cerridwen and Nuala have been given permission to use force if his human proves too stubborn—not that she’ll get the chance. His maids’ shadowy hands are impossible to repel or escape from, even for other Fae.
How he wishes he could be there to witness it.
His thoughts are interrupted when the familiar, off-kilter music reached his ears as he stands in front of a well-known door. His body tenses in anticipated disgust, fully aware of what's expecting him on the other side.
With a sigh, he fixes his clothes again and hides his hatred with the usual mask. The doors open before him without his hands touching them, and he strides in with a confident smirk as they close behind him again with a loud bang.
The music comes to a halt as soon as his presence is noticed. The assembled crowd take up most of the space, and most have stopped whatever they've been doing to stare at him. He can't help but find some delight in their attention, the fear that shines in their eyes at the sight of him. It gives him life.
He walks with purpose, barely sparing them a glance. Some bow to him, others just stare in silence. They all make sure to step out of his way, creating a wide path just for him. It only takes him a few minutes to reach his destination.
There, lounging on her black throne, is his punishment. His nightmare. The reason he endures all of this in the first place.
Amarantha. The High Queen of Prythian. Self-proclaimed, which only makes it more ridiculous in his mind—but only a suicidal fool would dare say so aloud.
She taps a long, red nail against the stone.
“There you are. I was worried you got lost along the way.”
Her voice is soft, almost tender, but he’s memorized every angle of her to read between the lines. He detects the underlying disdain beneath her words; she’s not pleased with his lateness.
He bows to his waist in a show of devotion. It makes his skin crawl, but he's already used to it.
"Apologies, my queen," he knows how much she likes the title. Appealing to her ego is his tried-and-true method to keep her at bay. "I got held up by some last-minute affairs."
She hums but doesn't inquire.
"Be more careful next time, Rhys. It's not polite to make a female wait."
A sense of déjà vu hits him at her words. They don’t sound nearly as charming from her lips as they did from the human’s, but the irony of it makes him want to laugh.
He clicks his tongue, masking his reaction.
"Believe me, I know it," lowering his head just enough to hide the shadow of a smile tugging at his lips.
He's not sure how to feel about his pet sharing some similiarities with the person he hates most in the world, but there's no denying the terrible humor in it.
Amarantha waves her hand lazily, and the music resumes. The crowd gradually returns to the party, trying their best to ignore them both. She beckons him to come closer, aand he has to steel himself to keep from snarling at her.
Of all the hells he’s endured over fifty years, this is the one he still can’t stomach. Being reduced to a mere servant, a slave, for this wretched female. He, the strongest High Lord in all of Prythian, turned into a harlot for a delusional tyrant's entertainment.
Just thinking about it makes him blood boil in pure, murderous rage.
The only thing keeping him from lashing out completely is the comforting fantasy of tearing this usurper apart with his own hands and warming himself by the fire of her burning remains.
But now he has something better than fantasies. Waiting prettily in his room, locked away from Amarantha’s corrupting hands, surely cursing him with all her might in her sleep.
The thought of seeing her again gives him the motivation to endure whatever Amarantha wants from him now.
"What can I do for you, my queen?" he asks, standing beside her with his hands clasped behind him. She looks up at him from her throne, not bothering to adjust her posture.
Everything about this is wrong. He should be the one sitting on a throne, and she should be on a leash, draped over his fist, begging for her worthless life. But now is not the time.
She regards him with a smile that would make a weaker male’s skin crawl. In truth, it’s not so different from expressions he himself uses regularly. Curious how this particular detail about her has never really bothered him.
"I have a job for you, Rhys."
"I’m always at your service, my queen."
She chuckles.
"Of course, you are. Such a good boy." She twirls the cup in her hand, red liquid spilling as richly as the color of her lips. "Tell me, how do you feel about paying a visit to an old friend?"
He knows exactly who she means before she even says it. The smirk that spreads across his face is entirely genuine this time.
"Oh? May I know the details?"
Amarantha’s expression shifts into one so similar to his own that it could almost be a reflection.
"Go to Spring and bring me the human filth that Tamlin is hiding from us."
Seems like the fun is about to start.
After another long, excruciating party to satisfy Amarantha's ego, she doesn't waste time in bringing him to her chambers as soon as everyone leaves.
He knows his part. Fifty years playing this role has given him the steel to hide his shame and resentment so deep into him that she can't notice it. His mind turns off, letting his body follow what's expected of him.
She's as brutal in bed as she's in the battlefield. And today she's in a rather enthusiastic mood. Probably at the idea of torturing the pitiful human Tamlin has found at last.
By the time he leaves, his body carries the scratches and bruises of Amarantha's favouritism under his clothes.
At least he's not tormented by the humiliation and self-hatred as he was the first times. Now, he can only feel a mild sense of relief and exasperation that it's over.
He straightens his clothes, leaving the top button undone. Now it’s only him striding down the hallways, aside from the occasional servant. Moving through the shadows, he’s intent on reaching his quarters as quickly as possible.
He’s eager to see his little pet, to tease her until she bares her cute claws and tries to bite him. Right now, she’s the only thing he has even a remote measure of control over—and he plans to savor it. Besides, he’s curious to see how she liked his latest gift.
As his door comes into view, he steps out of the shadows. He briefly considers slipping in silently, like last time, just to feel her fear spike again—but he decides it won’t be as amusing a second time.
Once more, the door opens for him without so much as a gesture, and he steps inside.
"I’m back, my dear. I hope you didn’t miss me too much this time?"
She’s right where he left her: on his bed, unmoving, glaring up at him through her lashes. Her knees are drawn up to her chest, chin resting stiffly on her crossed arms.
Like a curled up cat ready to pounce. Adorable.
But it's hard to appreciate his gift in that posture.
"Now, don't you have anything to say? I took the time to choose this design just for you. Do you like it?"
She doesn't respond. Not even a huff. If only he could get a peek of her mind, just a little bit. It annoys him not know what it's going through her head.
He clicks his tongue.
"Show me. I want to see how it looks on you."
"You're already seeing it."
"Ah, there she is. I was worrying you lost your voice."
Her glare intensifies, which only makes his smile widen. He grabs a cozy armchair from its spot near the fireplace and moves it closer to the bed, taking a seat directly in front of her.
Crossing one ankle over his knee, he rests his chin on his fist and stares at her intently. A quiet laugh exhales from his nose when she frowns, shifting uncomfortably under his gaze.
Her discomfort is a delight he savors, though he keeps his expression masked behind a lazy smirk. Every small twitch, every subtle hardening of her glare, only deepens his amusement. She’s resisting him, but her unease is a victory all its own.
"Your silence does little to hide your thoughts, you know," he says, voice low. "There’s only so much I can ignore when it’s written all over your face."
"You can read how much I want to kill you written on my face?, she says, her voice sounding low and dripping with venom.
Cauldron bless him, she's such a joy.
"Charming," he coos. "I actually meant your thoughts about my present. I've been eager to see your reaction all day."
"Is that why you're sitting there like an idiot?" she mutters, raising her chin. "To rejoice in my misery? Or is it just that you don’t have anything better to do with your time?"
He laughs, soft and slow, as if savoring a rare vintage. He wouldn't tolerare this kind of talk from anyone else. He’s torn heads from bodies for words more respectful than hers. But with her, he only wants more of it. It’s like watching a puppy bark and bare its teeth at him—a futile effort, but amusing all the same.
"It’s not every day I get a creature with such spirit gracing my quarters. It was getting lonely here, you know? I simply want to make the most of this opportunity."
She rolls her eyes and turns her head away. "Right. As if you couldn't summon other people to keep you company."
That catches his attention.
"What do you mean?"
"Those...beings from before. They're yours, right? Why don't you ask them to help you with your loneliness instead of pestering me?"
He's genuinely perplexed for a moment. She means Nuala and Cerridwen? They serve him, sure, but it has never crossed his mind to rely on them for...those kind of needs. They're beautiful, skilled, and wouldn't dare to deny their High Lord anything, but they're still mere servants at the end of the day. Below him and his bed.
"They're not nearly as charming as you," he replies, leaning forward. "You'll warm up to me soon enough, dear. And then you'll finally realize how incredibly lucky you are."
He lets the silence stretch between them, thick with an unspoken challenge. For a moment, her face is still, but then, her brows lower, her lips pressing into a defiant line. She meets his eyes again, her glare sharper than before.
"You’ve taken my freedom, maybe my dignity as well," she says evenly, "but that's all you'll get from me. No loyalty, no obedience, and certainly not my respect."
He holds her gaze, feeling the familiar thrill rising as her words sink in. A part of him expected this—relished it, even. He could break her down, push until she yielded, but another part of him wonders: How long will this fire last? How much can she endure before she crumbles?
"Well," he says, grinning, "we’ll see just how long you hold onto that resolve, won’t we?"
He stands up, walking to the side of the bed. He reachs out and plucks a stray curl that had fallen over her face, tucking it behind her ear. She stiffens, her eyes narrowing as he studied the sisters' creation.
She looks much cleaner than when he first brought her. Gone is the dirt and sweat from her face, now replaced by a graceful touch of makeup. Her eyes are accented with shadow, her lips painted a sparkling pink, and a soft blush colors her cheeks, accentuating her cheekbones. Though her position makes it difficult to fully appreciate the dress, he notices how it cascades over her shoulders and waist in black folds.
His gaze follows the chain peeking out from beneath her long, dark blue skirt, where the fabric drapes down to cover her feet.
"Sit up straight. Don't hide yourself."
She huffs, turning her gaze to the fireplace in a show of stubborn defiance, completely ignoring him. Her stupid pride is really starting to piss him off. If only he had access to her mind, he’d make her move with a mere thought. Curse the Cauldron yet again for giving humans the Sight.
He’s tempted to drag her to her feet himself, but just then, she stretches out on the bed, leaning back on her hands and showing off the dress in a much better light.
He chose the dress with her specifically in mind, but it looks even better than he’d imagined. The fabric clings to her torso before flowing down in soft waves to her feet, creating a shape that cups her figure elegantly. The cloth is a blend of black and deep blue, with sparkling gems resembling stars embroidered throughout, like a recreation of the night sky. The neckline grazes the valley of her chest, leaving her collarbones and part of her shoulders exposed.
Her hair has been brushed off her face, pulled back with a silver comb and the rest drapping down her back. She almost looks like a different person, if it wasn't for the permanent scowl on her face.
Cerridwen and Nuala have done a brilliant job, as usual.
"Well, what do you think?" her voice takes his attention off her shoulders, dripping with disdain. "Does it meet yout expectations, sir?"
Fuck, there's something about her calling him sir while dressed like that, laying in his bed. It only amused him the first time, and pleased his ego a bit. Why is it different now?
Maybe because she's laying there so prettily, drapped in his court's colors in an obvious claim of his ownership, and when she moves a little the slit in the skirt reveals part of her thigh, making his fingers twitch to trace over the pristine skin.
A low growl escapes his throat before he can stop it.
She widens her eyes at him, fear flashing in them for a second. He coughs and composes himself, chastising himself for losing his self-control.
He sits at the hem of the bed, schooling his features into a mask of casual indifference, though his pulse still beats thickly in his throat. His fingers brush against the fabric of the dress as he settles. She makes a show of moving away from him with furious eyes, as if his mere touch offended her.
Her defiance, cloaked in elegant silk and starlit jewels, unsettles him far more than he’ll ever admit. It irks him, how her insolence remains unyielding even when he’s draped her in the finest dress this wretched court could provide, marking her as his.
"Oh, it exceeds my expectations," he says, his voice a touch darker, unable to resist letting her see a hint of the effect the dress has on him. "You look… magnificient." He smirks, gesturing to her as though she were a painting, a work of art on display just for him.
Her mouth presses into a thin line, but she lifts her chin, the hatred simmering behind her eyes unmistakable. "Good to know. I’d hate for all this"—she gestures to herself, her hand lingering over the exposed skin of her thigh—"to be wasted on you."
The comment lands, hitting a part of him that both resents and respects her tenacity. He finds himself leaning forward without thinking, the intensity in his gaze causing her to shrink back just the slightest bit.
"Oh, make no mistake. Nothing about you will go to waste here, darling. I’ll make certain of that."
She glares at him, but something shifts in her expression, a flicker of trepidation quickly masked by steely determination. It sends a thrill through him, a potent mix of irritation and attraction. How satisfying it will be, one day, to see that unbreakable resolve bend, to see her finally yield beneath him.
"Now," he murmurs, straightening. "Behave yourself, and I might surprise you with more gifts in the future."
"And if I don’t?" Her voice is barely more than a whisper, but he catches the challenge there, hanging in the air between them.
He chuckles, low and menacing, running his thumb along her round earlobe thoughtfully. "Oh, I wouldn’t test that, if I were you." His voice drops, a hint of a threat lacing his words. "I’d hate to ruin that pretty dress."
She blinks at him, her expression suddenly going blank. Her heart is beating too rapidly for him to believe she’s truly indifferent to the situation, but the way she so quickly masks her feelings and thoughts is worthy of some admiration.
Then, she does something that catches him entirely off guard.
Her hands grip his shoulders and pull him down, right on top of her. He feels the outline of her breasts press against his chest, and his nose grazes her collarbones for a brief moment. His mind goes blank. But before he can say anything, she maneuvers herself out and shoves his face down against the bed, throwing her weight onto his back.
"What in the world are you doing now, little thing?" he grunts, but then he hears a familiar metallic clicking as she moves frantically.
The realization hits him when he feels something cold binding his wrists together in a very tight knot.
His mind snaps back into focus with a jolt. For the briefest moment, he’s caught off guard, tangled in the suddenness of how everything has happened. She’s quick, too quick for a mortal in her state. His body stiffens beneath her, the sharp tug of the cold metal biting into his wrists—binding him to the bed.
The chain. She's using the chain against him. The same chain supposedly keeping her locked in place.
When, and how the fuck did she got out of it? Without anyone noticing?
The wood of the headboard creaks when he pulls. It’s a ridiculous move, the kind of desperate attempt he’s seen from lesser beings, yet somehow... it feels different. Her strength, the way she pushed him down with such determination, it unnerves him. No human should be able to think this quickly, to turn the tables on him in such a bold way.
He growls in frustration, trying to pull his wrists free, but the chain hold fast. This situation feels too disgustingly familiar, making his skin crawl. His first instinct is to use his magic and break the damn metal, but there’s a brief, agonizing moment of uncertainty. He hasn’t lost his power entirely, but it still feels drained, distant. The realization sends a deep sense of frustration through his chest.
When he lifts his head, she’s already standing by the edge of the bed, breathing hard but calm, her eyes alight with that familiar, fiery glint. She watches him, studying him like an experiment, her lips curled into a satisfied smirk.
"You... chained me?" He can barely mask the disbelief and fury in his voice. It's absurd. She shouldn’t have the knowledge, the courage, to even consider something so reckless.
She doesn’t respond right away, but there’s a satisfied gleam in her eyes. Her hands, still trembling slightly from the rush of adrenaline, clutch the fabric of the skirt. "I’d say it’s a fair trade, wouldn’t you?" Her voice is like cold fire, biting yet controlled, a mirror of his own in certain moments.
He glares at her, the intensity of his gaze locking with hers. His body tenses as he tests the chains again. "Oh, you have some fucking nerve, you filthy, worthless thing. You seriously think you can contain me?" His growl is low, dangerous, the tone he reserves for those he's about to torture endlessly.
She just shrugs, stepping away from the bed and almost relaxed. "You got me chained here like an animal since I arrived," she says softly, almost teasingly. "I thought you might like a taste of it."
The words sting more than they should. He shifts his weight, anger mounting, but he doesn’t break eye contact.
He’s going to kill her for this. No. He’ll hand her over to Amarantha first, in front of the entire court, and let her be turned into a plaything for the sadistic bitch. And when the ungrateful thing is too broken to move, he’ll drag her back to this room, tie her down from head to toe, and watch as she writhes in agony from the mind-blowing pain he inflicts. He won’t lift a finger to heal her. Let her suffer and learn her lesson.
He's clearly understimated her all this time.
She doesn’t spare him another glance as she runs to grab the pocket from the fireplace and then straight for the door. He lets out a low, dark chuckle at the sight.
"Oh, yes, Run, little thing. Run as fast as you can. Because once I get out of here, I'll find you."
"And I won't be gentle anymore."
She freezes for a moment, hand already on the door handle. The hand holding the iron rod grip it hard enough for her knuckles to grow white.
The door opens and she slams it close behind her.

Hmm... Death comforting a gender neutral Reader who is one of his brothers' child (though brain keeps imagining the child of Pest, you can do whichever feels best. Also doesn't need to be a child reader, them being an adult works)? Perhaps during the apocalypse/nearing its end and Reader is worried about their family's safety should the Winchesters not succeed? Perhaps their worry causes problems with power control?
I finally finally completed this request! I hope you like it my dude <3 I appreciate you and your support a lot
SPN Death Drabble: Comforting the child of Pest because they’re worried for their family
Tumblr media
The Horsemen of the Apocalypse were upon the world, and with them so did you rise up to wander the earth once again with them. You weren’t known to the Bible or other writings of the church, you were the only mortal connection that existed to them because you were the child to one of them.
Your father was none other than Pest, the Horseman who kept on appearing on earth in a steady rhythm. But he would always bear the name of the disease he first created, the one that nearly wiped out the European population in Medieval times.
The Winchesters slowly came to understand than everything in the Bible might as well be true and exist as Angels and Demons kept on interviewing in their lives. But the Horsemen.. they were something so foreign, something so hard to grasp that they wouldn’t have believed them to be true. And yet.. Lucifer started to summon them one by one.
Your father was among them, and you were finally reunited with him after the long slumber all of them have been put in.
And with them appearing again so did your powers. The power than you had inhibited from your father when you were born to a normal woman. That way you both held the power within you that had the world succumb to illness as well as the ability for immunity to said diseases.
Lucifer had the Horsemen emerge again, but they were not free. The Devil expected them to follow suit with his hatred of Humanity, but with that he gravely misunderstood their nature. They all contributed to the Apocalypse, to Humanities demise, but they were just as natural and inherent to the world as any other Entity. Just because something caused grief didn’t mean it was bad by nature. But your powers scared you nonetheless, the thought that your family would be endangered in this unnaturally triggered process of destruction, puppeteered by Lucifer, made you feel overwhelmed with yourself and your powers.
You had never actually met your him until then, the oldest of them all. Older than god himself and all that came after. Yet the moment he came into the nearly empty Cafe you were sat in as the Storm outside swelled dangerously, sweeping across the streets and knocking over people, cars and streetsigns- the moment you saw him you felt a familiarity in your soul. A blossoming, instant trust.
The Barista dropped to the floor, glass shattered. He picked up a Cup of Coffee from the table of a Customer that was now dead as well, walking around to take a seat across from you. „Y/n.“ You weren’t sure if it was a greeting or a statement. „We didn’t have an addition to the family since World war one. You may be able to guess which one of my brothers fathered a child during that time.“ He leaned his cane against the table, his movements fluent and composed as he took a sip of the coffee.
„Uncle..“ you breathed. A part of you was nervous, the human part most likely, and yet- „I don’t know why, but I‘m very glad you are here.“ Death looked on calm as he always did, but his eyes softened at your words. It was rare, only creatures in agony welcomed his presence and service to the world. But you genuinely meant what you were saying.
„I felt that your energy is disrupted.“ He said. You lowered your head, it was true. „I‘m scared about my family, I don’t know what will happen. My powers seem to malfunction too now, when I‘m anxious I keep casting out disease! I try to keep it down, I tried in so many ways but once I slip for just a moment it gets worse and worse. It feels like I‘m playing into what Lucifer wants, and not who we are. What if my father, what if all of you…“ you felt a knot in your throat and blinked at the tears that welled up inside of you. „What if there is nothing I can do and.. in the end I‘m all left alone?“ You admitted to him, to which he responded with a knowing nod. „I see.“ You both looked out into the storm for a moment, rain started drumming against the window.
„We are forces of nature, and nature isn‘t only nurture towards this world but also destruction. You don‘t need to expect yourself to be fully in control at all times, because look at us all now. Imbalance is part of existence at times, but we will eventually claim our autonomy back. Neither humanity nor yourself can deny any part of who you are, and if you don’t trust yourself to let yourself be whatever you naturally occur to be.. it only causes more loss of control.„ You looked up at him, his dark eyes had authority yet they also offered clarity and the kind of calm that only the finality and eventuality of life could offer. „Nothing is inherently good or bad, those are simply judgements, but not a reflection of who you really are.“ Tears rolled down your cheeks, you nodded and sniffed. He was right.. „And.. what if the Winchesters fail?“
Death reached out to you and closed his slender hands over yours, „None of us are are truly a puppet of Lucifer, and as long as there is life there is us. He may have us spellbound right now, but he is just an angel. He has limits, and none can control nature forever.“ You squeezed his hands, you couldn‘t help yourself from the tears anymore. You were shaking quietly, and lowered your head to the table. It was so overwhelming, and until now you had no one to talk to about this because your father was out of reach. Lucifer send him someplace you didn‘t know, famine and war as well.
Everyone was gone but.. Death had found you. Not only did he know where you were, he approached you too to.. help. He was looking out for you. One of his hands came up to put the hair that was veiling your face behind your ears. „I promise it will eventually come together again. We are scattered now, but it is only a matter of time until we are fully restored and free again. Until then.. you can come with me. And I will find your father.“ You looked up again, gasping quietly as your tears subsided. „You.. thank you, Uncle.“ A slight notion of a smile settled on his face at the name, Death huffed quietly and nodded. „Let us go now.“

How Bed Bugs Pest Control in Dubai Works: A Step-by-Step Process
Dealing with bed bugs can be a daunting task, especially in a bustling city like Dubai, where high-rise living and frequent travel make homes and businesses more vulnerable to infestations. When bed bugs become a problem, professional bed bugs pest control Dubai services are the go-to solution for effective removal and long-term prevention. Here’s a detailed step-by-step overview of how these services work to ensure your space is free from these persistent pests.
Step 1: Thorough Inspection
The first step in bed bugs pest control Dubai services is conducting a thorough inspection of the affected area. Trained pest control professionals use specialized tools to search for bed bugs in common hiding spots like mattresses, bed frames, headboards, and furniture. Bed bugs are tiny and can hide in cracks and crevices, so this step is crucial for accurately identifying the extent of the infestation. The professionals also look for signs such as bed bug shells, fecal stains, and tiny blood spots, which help confirm the presence of these pests.
Step 2: Assessment and Custom Treatment Plan
Once the inspection is complete, the pest control company assesses the severity of the infestation and the specific needs of the property. Based on this assessment, they develop a customized treatment plan tailored to the situation. The plan outlines the best methods for eliminating bed bugs, the required treatments, and any necessary follow-up visits. This step ensures that the treatment is precise and efficient, avoiding the risks of unnecessary chemical usage and minimizing disruptions to the home or business.
Step 3: Preparation for Treatment
Before the actual treatment begins, bed bugs pest control Dubai services often require some preparation from the homeowner or business owner. This may include removing bedding, cleaning infested clothing, vacuuming the area, and sealing items in plastic bags. Proper preparation ensures that the treatment reaches all areas where bed bugs may hide. Pest control experts will provide clear instructions to ensure that the space is ready for the next steps, maximizing the effectiveness of the treatment.
Step 4: Application of Targeted Treatment
The core of the process involves applying targeted treatments to eliminate the bed bugs. Professional pest control companies in Dubai use a combination of chemical and non-chemical methods based on the severity of the infestation. Common treatment methods include:
Insecticide Sprays: Specialized insecticides are applied to infested areas such as mattresses, baseboards, and furniture. These sprays are formulated to kill bed bugs on contact and have a residual effect to eliminate any remaining bugs.
Heat Treatment: Heat is a highly effective method for bed bug control, as it penetrates deep into mattresses and furniture. Professional pest control teams use heat-generating equipment to raise the temperature of the affected area to a level that kills bed bugs and their eggs. This method is chemical-free and particularly effective for larger infestations.
Steam Treatment: Steamers are used to target bed bugs in cracks, crevices, and other hard-to-reach areas. The high-temperature steam kills bed bugs on contact, making it an ideal complement to other treatment methods.
Each of these treatments is applied with precision, ensuring that bed bugs are eradicated while keeping the safety of the residents in mind.
Step 5: Monitoring and Follow-Up Visits
After the initial treatment, professional bed bugs pest control Dubai services include monitoring the treated areas to ensure that the bed bugs are completely eradicated. This may involve setting up bed bug traps or conducting follow-up inspections to check for any remaining signs of bed bugs. In some cases, a second round of treatment might be necessary to ensure that all eggs and newly hatched bed bugs are eliminated. These follow-up visits are crucial for ensuring long-term success and preventing reinfestation.
Step 6: Preventive Measures and Advice
Once the infestation is under control, pest control professionals provide clients with advice on how to prevent future bed bug problems. This might include tips on maintaining cleanliness, inspecting second-hand furniture before bringing it into the home, and using bed bug-proof mattress covers. Implementing these preventive measures can significantly reduce the risk of another infestation. Professional bed bugs pest control Dubai services often offer maintenance plans, where regular inspections are conducted to catch any new infestations early.
Step 7: Final Inspection and Certification
After the completion of the treatment process, a final inspection is conducted to ensure that the property is completely bed bug-free. This step helps reassure the property owner that the treatment has been successful. Some pest control companies in Dubai provide a certification of bed bug clearance, which can be particularly useful for businesses like hotels or rental properties to show that their premises are safe and pest-free.
Conclusion
Bed bugs can be a challenging pest to eliminate, but with the help of professional bed bugs pest control Dubai services, the process can be thorough, effective, and long-lasting. From the initial inspection to the final follow-up visit, each step of the process is designed to ensure a complete eradication of bed bugs while minimizing disruption to your life. By choosing a professional service, you can regain peace of mind, knowing that your home or business is protected from these unwanted intruders. If you suspect a bed bug infestation, don’t hesitate to contact a reputable pest control provider to begin the process of reclaiming your space.

why is it that guys think it is ever a compliment to say to a stranger "don't take this the wrong way, but you are really beautiful."
does that really work on some people?!?!?! what do you expect my reaction to be, man who is in my home to do a pest control inspection?
of course i just turned away and said "thank you... I get that a lot..." and then "no, i don't have a boyfriend, i'm gay, sorry. no, i don't have a girlfriend." because I am not gonna say "great, now I have to be wary that you're even a real pest control inspector despite me making sure to confirm the company truck behind you before I even unlocked the door. i wish i was not the only one home right now. i wonder if the neighbors would come if i screamed? i still have to do business with you!"
seriously it's like they wait until your guard is down and you are at your most vulnerable in the interaction (eg often will happen when my card chip is processing so i literally can't leave) to drop the "you're beautiful" bomb. Okay I am depending on you for a service. Now I have to give money to someone who was, at the very least, super unprofessional towards me during that interaction. If I got angry and said, get out of my house, well, the service was already 80% completed before he made those comments. And then I'm being unreasonable because it was a COMPLIMENT!

5 Ideas For Opting For The Right Pest Control Orlando Company
youtube
Dealing with pests in your home or business can be a frustrating and potentially hazardous situation. Whether you're facing a small ant infestation or a more serious problem like termites or rodents, it's crucial to choose the right Orlando pest control service to address the issue effectively and safely. With numerous options available, selecting the best pest control service can be challenging. To help you make an informed decision, here are five essential tips to consider when choosing the right pest control service.
Research and Verify Credentials
Before entrusting your pest problem to any company, it's essential to do your homework. Start by researching potential pest control services in your area. Look for companies with a strong online presence and positive customer reviews. Additionally, make sure the company is licensed and certified to perform pest control services in your state. Licensing requirements vary from state to state, so it's crucial to verify that the company you choose complies with local regulations.
Furthermore, inquire about the technicians' qualifications. Are they certified and trained in pest control techniques? A reputable company should be able to provide you with information about their technicians' credentials and qualifications.
Ask for Recommendations
Word of mouth can be a valuable resource when selecting a pest control service. Ask friends, family members, or colleagues if they've had any positive experiences with local pest control companies. Personal recommendations can give you insight into the quality of service, customer satisfaction, and the company's ability to effectively address pest issues.
Evaluate the Pest Control Methods
Different pest control companies may employ various methods and treatments to address pest infestations. It's essential to understand the approaches each company uses and how they may impact your home or business. For instance, some companies may specialize in eco-friendly or organic pest control methods, while others may rely on chemical treatments.
Consider your preferences and any potential health or environmental concerns when evaluating pest control methods. If you have children, pets, or specific allergies, you may want to opt for a company that offers safer, non-toxic options.
Tumblr media
Request a Pest Inspection and Quote
A professional Orlando pest control service should offer a thorough inspection of your property before providing a quote or recommending treatment. During the inspection, the technician should identify the type of pests present, the extent of the infestation, and any potential entry points or conditions that contribute to the problem.
Once the inspection is complete, the company should provide you with a detailed quote that includes the cost of treatment, the type of treatment recommended, and any warranties or guarantees. Be cautious of companies that provide vague estimates over the phone without conducting an on-site inspection.
Compare Pricing and Service Guarantees
While cost is an important factor in your decision, it should not be the sole determining factor. Consider the value you'll receive for the price. Compare quotes from multiple Orlando pest control services, but also take into account their reputation, experience, and the quality of their services.
Additionally, inquire about any guarantees or warranties offered by the pest control service. Reputable companies typically provide a guarantee that covers a certain period, ensuring that they will return and re-treat the area if the pest problem persists. Make sure you fully understand the terms and conditions of any guarantees before making your final decision.
Conclusion
Choosing the right pest control service is a critical decision when dealing with pest infestations. By conducting thorough research, seeking recommendations, evaluating pest control methods, requesting inspections and quotes, and comparing pricing and service guarantees, you can make an informed choice that ensures the effective and safe resolution of your pest problem. Remember that a reliable pest control service should prioritize your well-being and the well-being of your property, offering peace of mind in the face of unwanted invaders.

Top 5 Benefits of Choosing a Self-Performing Facility Management Company
Tumblr media
In the world of facilities management, “self-performing” is a term that is commonly misused. Let’s take a minute to talk about what self-performing is and the major differences between it and aggregated services.
What does “self-performing” mean?
Self-performing facility management companies complete the work themselves with their own staff and technicians. Under a self-performing model, the scheduling, work, and follow-up are all completed by the same organization. This is true for all FM projects from Hard FM like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to Soft FM like janitorial services as well as construction and energy projects.
Aggregators, on the other hand, are companies who hire service providers or subcontractors for different trades and services across multiple regions in order to perform FM services. Unlike self-performing companies, aggregators contract networks of providers on a case-by-case basis and the aggregator simply marks up the cost of the service provider and passes it through to the customer. This model is more expensive and less efficient than someone who is truly self-performing.
At National Facilities Direct, we believe that self-performing means even more than performing the work ourselves. It means approaching projects with a partnership mindset to assure we are looking out for a client’s long-term needs as well as driving short-term problem-solving. With a self-performing facility management company, you won’t get different or unvetted technicians each time you need service. You will have a relationship with National Facilities Direct and its technicians who know your facility and equipment inside and out.
To partner with a truly self-performing facilities management company means that your organization benefits from the ongoing presence of highly skilled professionals in a wide range of trades and services including, but not limited to:
Hard FM Services
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/HVAC-R
Plumbing
Electrical
Fire Safety Systems
Lighting
Mechanical
Building Maintenance
Generator Maintenance
Soft FM Services
Landscaping & Snow Removal
Cleaning & Janitorial
Waste Management & Trash
Energy Management
Biohazard Waste Disposal
Parking Lot Maintenance
Power washing
Locksmith
Pest Control
Security
Self-performing and integrated facility management companies offer a highly competitive edge because they cut out the middle-man which reduces costs and time while streamlining communication.
While there are dozens of benefits, we want to highlight the 5 that have the most impact on service.
Top 5 Benefits of Self-Performing Facility Management Companies
1. Reliable and Continuous Service
Because self-performers utilize their own technicians, you can expect the same standard and quality of work whenever and wherever you need it, from coast to coast or trade to trade. The standards of performance are set by the FM company so you benefit from a formalized level of consistency. That level of service allows you to easily navigate complex projects with confidence knowing you have trusted communication and results.
2. Save Money
When working with a self-performing company, facility managers can rely on a standardized rate without the cost of the middle-man. No middle-man in the field and no middle-man filtering through service calls means there are no gaps in communication or service. Technicians within a self-performing system work for the FM company so there isn’t a markup on the price as there would be when aggregators hire from their network of contractors. In other words, the technician rate is the company rate.
3. Access to Skilled and Vetted Technicians Nationwide
When you have a facility need, self-performing agencies scan their roster to find the perfect technician for the job every time. Whether Soft FM like landscaping and cleaning services or Hard FM like HVAC, plumbing or electrical, self-performing companies have access to several skilled technicians that can get the job done.
4. Efficiency
We’ve all heard the age-old phrase “time is money.” Self-Performing FM providers manage projects with reduced response and resolution time so you can continue serving your organization’s facility needs. With technicians on standby, you have added peace of mind knowing they can quickly address your projects with optimal efficiency.
5. Safety
Because self-performing facilities management companies work with their facility partners on a consistent and ongoing basis, they provide a level of safety and security in their projects that you might not find with aggregators. Because the technicians work directly for the FM company, they are more properly vetted and trained than contractors in an aggregator model, who may not have any previous work or performance history. This more formal approach to safety and security leads to a more advanced project workflow.
Drive Success with Self-Performing

Doraemon Vol. 7 from The Complete Works of Fujiko F. Fujio
Tumblr media
I guess I just devoured this one. The stories here were published in 1975–1980. They include the first appearance of Dekisugi in the Complete Works series (though due to the way this series is compiled, his actual introduction in the manga is collected in a later volume). This volume also features the first story where Gian’s sister, Jaiko, is shown to be an aspiring manga artist. Jaiko has been a part of the Doraemon series from the very beginning, but this development marks a major shift towards her more familiar current characterization.
Some of the most iconic Doraemon stories in this volume (as determined by my personal experience and biases):
“ジャイアンシチュー” (“Gian’s Stew”, 1976): Gian invites (i.e., forces) his friends to come visit him and taste his homemade cooking. It is absolutely terrible.
“人生やりなおし機” (“Life Do-over Machine”, 1977): Nobita relives his life as a four-year-old but with his current mental and physical capabilities, causing him to be treated as a child prodigy. He considers spending the rest of his days this way, but Doraemon shows him that later down the road it will only make his life even harder than it is now. The anime-exclusive story “人生やりなおし計画” (“Life Do-over Plan”) that I blogged about previously was probably inspired by this chapter.
“ムードもりあげ楽団登場!” (“The Mood-maker Orchestra Debuts!”, 1977): Doraemon makes Nobita’s life more interesting by giving him a personal orchestra that provides backing music according to his mood.
“どくさいスイッチ” (“Dictator Button”, 1977): Doraemon gives Nobita a Dictator Button, which can make anyone vanish as he wishes, along with any trace that they ever existed. (It’s actually an invention made to punish dictators and the effect is reversible.)
“ネコが会社を作ったよ” (“Cats Started a Company”, 1977): Shizuka finds a box of abandoned kittens, but neither she nor Nobita can take them in. Doraemon provides the kittens with the Snail House as a shelter and has them wear collars that can program their behavior according to a set schedule. Nobita advertises them as a pest control service and uses the earnings to pay for their feed.
“家がロボットになった” (“The House Became a Robot”, 1977): Gian makes Nobita look after his house for him, so Doraemon installs a gadget that turns the house into a sentient robot. Now it can clean and take care of itself, as well as cater to the needs of anyone inside. (I wanted this gadget so badly when i was little—and maybe even moreso now!)
“宇宙ターザン” (“Space Tarzan”, 1978): One of Nobita’s favorite TV shows, Space Tarzan, is suffering from budget cuts and imminent cancellation. Nobita saves it by setting up conditions so that it can be filmed in the actual Cretaceous Period (which he tells the production crew is made using really good practical effects).
“ゴルゴンの首” (“Gorgon’s Head”, 1979): Nobita is constantly tired from being made to stand in the hallway as punishment at school, so Doraemon gives him the Gorgon’s Head, a box with a snake-shaped hair that can petrify his legs so that he does not feel fatigued. The trouble begins when the snake escapes and starts petrifying everyone...
“もはん手紙ペン” (“Model Letter-writing Pen”, 1979): Doraemon gives Nobita a pen that can write letters for him. Nobita uses it to write a captivating letter to Shizuka, but because he can’t replicate the same feelings in spoken conversation, he ends up corresponding with her in writing for the time being.

How to Control Household Pests in Singapore?
Do you enjoy having bugs in your house?
Naturally, nobody does that! Even those who find these creatures intriguing do not want vermin running loose in their home, causing unsanitary conditions. In actuality, the invasion of practically all pests—from the buzzing fly and itchy mosquito bite to the painful bee sting—is not only annoyance-inducing but also dangerous. Rats, cockroaches, and mosquitoes can spread sickness, but termites can harm your house. Complete pest control is the only solution for this issue.
How can they be repelled?
Keeping the bugs out is the greatest way to get rid of a pest infestation. Water, food, and shelter are the three essential components that every living thing requires to survive. You may make it difficult for these pests to feel comfy by eliminating their food source and hiding places. This will lessen the possibility of pests moving into your house. In order to keep bugs out, you should also seal any potential entry points, such as cracks and holes in the exterior of your home.
Common Household Pest Control in Singapore:
Garbage Disposal Procedures:
Did you realize? Pests enjoy hanging around in and near the trash. In actuality, they can reproduce there and get their food directly from the waste dump. To reduce the risk of these pests, you must be especially careful when disposing of rubbish. Instead of having garbage cans throughout your home, have one in your kitchen for putting out food waste.
Using trash cans with self-closing lids is one of the finest solutions because it keeps the debris out of insects' grasp. To prevent pests from feasting, make sure your compost bin is lined with fabric and has tight-fitting covers. As a result, recycle containers should be frequently cleaned and sanitised before being placed back where they belong.
Install mosquito screens:
For natural ventilation, most homeowners like to keep their doors and windows open. Unfortunately, mosquitoes and other flying insects can easily enter your home through open windows. In this situation, mosquito screens keep pests and trespassers out of your house. Fresh air and ventilation can enter without being obstructed by the mesh. However, make sure the screen is impenetrable—holes allow bugs to easily crawl in.
Fill up the Holes and Cracks:
Every home undoubtedly contains gaps, holes, and cracks that are simple to overlook when assessing our home. Rats and other insects can enter through these openings and explore your cozy abode. As a result, you should frequently inspect the outside of your home or hire an expert.
Clean Stagnant Water:
In the stagnant water, mosquitoes deposit their eggs and grow. Any stagnant water at your house needs to be covered or removed. Always keep an eye out for any water that has become stagnant in the buckets, flower pots, and other containers.
Conclusion
For affordable pest control services in Singapore, you can also get in touch with a reputable business like 1st Choice pest control.
