Challenge yourself this month to become stronger at your core first. Power is core to extremity. If your core is weak, at some point you will fail when you should flourish. If it’s weak, not only will your power be lacking but every movement generated will be below the potential of what it could and should be. Once you have great form add weight and/or instability to your core work. An emotional day on the road. I ventured into dark headspace from 20-22. At 24.44 my body started breaking down. My time became less of a priority and I took out my headphones so I could be more present with the pain and my surroundings. It was incredible. I heard a husband who was walking with. His wife letting her know she could finish. I got high fives from 5 year olds. It was an experience that I don't think has quite set in yet. Somehow I didn't get a photo with Arledge after the race but I wasn't thinking about anything but food and water. The @fitaid I had after was the best can ever.
