Oh I wish mask wearing was still normalised. Oh how freeing it would be if I didn’t catch that cold from Gregothan two seats across because teenage boys don’t know how to cover their mouths and coughed up a storm in every direction. Oh what if I could still find cloth masks for cheap and be fashionable and safe all at once. Oh what a world it would be if people didn’t have to fear the rampant spread of disease while going about their normal lives because consistent mask wearing slows every pathogens progress. Oh I would frolic through the subway station knowing the only disease to contract are the nasty ones from the toilets. Oh how it would not impact the government at all and they can keep pretending the pandemic doesn’t exist

(It’s so easy and literally hurts no one to wear a mask. Even if you only put it on when you’re sick but still gotta do life. Or while riding public transport.)

Pierce’s character could have been really great and had a wonderful growth arc, but I’m convinced Chevy Chase put a stop to that. Because like, you see moments of growth here and there, and I can see what the writers were trying to go for at times, but I’m convinced Chevy Chase liked playing the asshole racist and somehow got his way (maybe threatening to quit or smth idk) until Dan Harmon possibly had enough and the show had enough traction to axe him (this is just me speculating but if anyone has any more info on Dan Harmon and Chevy Chase’s conflict, I would love to hear it).

And it SUCKS because I would have loved to see that growth. I love the idea of you’re never too old to change, and you might be a product of your environment but you don’t have to stay that way. I would also have loved to see more of Pierce deconstructing his relationship with his dad and focusing on the found family aspect, not even just with the study group, but with Gilbert as well.

Tags for gushing asks!! *important*

I'll also add this to the pinned intro post for whatever the results may end up being, but I've come to the realization that people who aren't comfortable sharing F/Os might come across their F/Os name being mentioned when others are gushing. I want this to be a safe and happy place for everyone, so I want to come up with a tag system for the gush asks. There are two options I'm waging between.

Option A: All gush asks are put under one tag, so the tag can be filtered as people please, the tag will be the same for every gush ask

Or

Option B: Each anon/asker gets their own tag(which will be related to whichever emoji/title they decide to go by) so people can filter individual tags so they can avoid a specific person/asker that may share an F/O. A list will be added along with these rules to the pinned post(it'll be under a hyperlink, as to keep the pinned post no longer than it already is) so people know which emojis/titles are already in use/taken. Any asks without an emoji/title will be put under a general ask tag separate from other ask tags so people can filter those as well if they'd like.

I'll make a final post once the polls are done for whatever the results may be! I'm going to clean out my inbox of what asks are still in it(should only be three or four) and after that, posting gushes will be on pause until results are decided(you may still submit gushes as you please!!)
