Skin Preview
You asked very kindly and we delivered! Here’s a sneak peek at our skin (though to anyone who cracked our code and managed to suss out our very cryptic URL some of this might look familiar ;) )
Lots of people ask about large font skins. At the moment we don’t have one, however, lots of sweat and tears and maybe some blood went into making the whole thing wholly responsive, and viewing your window at 125% or 150% will give you a very similar viewing experience to the skin at size. (& to boot, no font is less than 12px)
EDIT: images viewed in the tumblr theme appear blurry for some reason, but in the tag look fine. Either way you can view here: header / boards / post row / top half of profile
Graphics will resize & center out accordingly, but if you’d like your images to fit like a glove:
Avatar - 300x500 px
Main profile - 640x450 px
Gif or icon - square; idk bigger than like 150x150

STONINGTON UNIVERSITY
Stonington University, affectionately called "Old Stony" was founded in 1912 in east Belgravia. In many ways, Stonington embodies the stereotype of priggish, pretentious English academia. But nothing stereotyped survives without complexities and contradictions, and the university also has a long history of mystery, scandal, and intrigue.
Stonington is known for unconventional and occasionally radical approaches to education, having at various times offered students pass/fail grading and controversial lecturers or guest speakers. It permits the existence of divisive student groups and lecturer-developed courses such as Techniques for Subverting Capitalism.
There are worlds within worlds and violently clashing ideologies. Stony's living mythology includes Hollingsworth, the charismatic (some would say dangerously so) political professor who is beloved by many students but has been accused of "radicalizing" them; Perry, the English lecturer accused of plagiarizing a deceased student with whom they are said to have had an inappropriate relationship; a cryptic secret society; and an infamous Shakespeare Club (you're in it for life, they say) known for obsessive tendencies and outlandish, theatrical pranks.
STRANGE INHERITANCE: (content warning: cult involvement/scripture; allusion to suicide pact)
If it weren't for the last will and testament mailed to a government office in London, years might have gone by before the remains of The Risen were found. They were living outside the law and society's eye in a remote cottage a few kilometers south of Wotton, almost completely self-sustaining and independent.
Missing persons and runaways turned messiah mouthpieces and scribes of a mythos spanning the cosmos, The Risen slipped away from society around 2010. Investigators and experts are still chronicling the cult and the demise of its members, but a few things are supported by evidence: it began simply as a spiritual retreat away from the material world's distractions. When the original leader died, her right hand Oliver Greer assumed the role, and The Risen became his will and imagination made manifest.
Their Ascension ceremony concluded with twenty-two neatly-arranged, black-robed bodies and a cleansing pyre. Greer's life work was found nearby—pages by the thousands of philosophy and fiction, from grand parables to perverse fantasies. His will instructed his work to be dispersed to nine individuals in London, chosen (unbeknownst to them) for their openness to Greer's beliefs, their ability to spread them, and whatever other reasons can be deciphered from his strange gifts and teachings.
UTOPOS
There are fashionable words, like sustainable, alternative, and organic. And there are slightly older, wearier terms like free love, expanded consciousness, and commune. At least one of these words lured in everyone who stays on Savoy land, a farm near Hampstead Heath that became a co-op community in 2005. The polyamorous triad owners aspire to be self-sufficient, to escape stale words like bureaucracy, imperialism, consumerism, and commodification. From weekly farmer's market sales to artisan jewelry websites, their income goes into an increasingly independent society of mobile and tiny houses, flourishing vegetable gardens, shared bathrooms, and communal bonfire dinners.
But there are old, older words, too. Words that still live deep in minds and bones. Words like the Greeks' utopos, which they used to describe two things. The perfect place, and the place that can never be.
