jljkdsafhkds-I'm back on my anti Talia grind and I'm still salty about an old argument.
Exhibit A: Detective Comics 526
Talia (Along with Selina, she's behind the curtains) are included in the villain line-up. This is pre-crisis days so it's debatable whether it's canon in today's continuity but point of the matter, she's been regarded as a villain since her inception. Like Mr Freeze, Clayface II and Lady Clayface.
Oh and this
I'm not one to just bad-mouth characters (I kinda agree with Talia as Blonde!Jason is cut and paste Dick) but she comes off as very unknowledgeable about what Bruce wants(adopt Jason compared to relative freedom). But this was the 70/80's and both Selina's and Talia's written have hints of the period typical racism(in Talia's case) and sexism in terms that both of their arcs in this book relate heavily to Bruce. Plus, ripping hearts out...very romantic Talia. She's probably a cannibalism is a metaphor for love girlie.
Exhibt B: The write-ins.
Now then, obviously people liked Bruce's and Talia's relationship back then, it's pretty stupid to act like no one did. (I've said before, I see the appeal) but is important to note: Talia is regarded as a villain and they were most likely not planed to be endgame (This should be obvious as Dennis O'Neill isn't the original creator of Batman). While some people criticised the plot (I too have similar qualms), most didn't talk about Talia or the relationship for that matter. I found a trend that most people either liked Talia as just a plain villain or didn't really regard her as anything. There was a small minority of people that actually mentioned their relationship in a positive light (Then the weird guy with a fetish).
Then again these are just four examples. I'll be collecting more.

invitation à l'endormon
(vraie) dernière nuit de l'année...
english below
****
on the 30th of december, i'm hosting at home (saint job area) a sort of aperitif dinner or an indoor winter picnic. it's a chat-cocoon-connect-discussion evening.
-- > it starts at 6:30 pm (et you arrive whenever you like)
-- > you can come solo or bring company.
-- > you can bring drink/food (note that if you bring something to heat up, i don't have an oven or micro wave yet, just an induction plate)
-- > when you arrive at the address, don't bother ringing the bell: just open the green door and then the first door on your left.
+ for info: to connect and fuel the conversation: i ask the question: what art work has made an impression on you this year? (book, comic, exhibtion, movie, tv show...)

Artist creating exhibition in animal crossing
Another way of using games/internet as a alternate exhibtion platform.
Also doing it this way is like self publishing, you don’t need to get into a show or be chosen by a gallery to exhibit your work in this way, you can just do it yourself.
The digital world is booming and becoming the go to hang out space whilst the real world is in lockdown.
What does effect does this have on peoples experience of the art, is it more passive because they are viewing digitally? In the world we live in we absorb so much content through our phones and laptops each day that the experience often becomes passive, we don't really take it in or feel the impact as if we would experiencing it in real life. Also does this make people more likely to slate the work given the anonymous status that can be adopted so easily online?

Exhibtion on Comic Art Opens Sept. 12
Exhibtion on Comic Art Opens Sept. 12
A new exhibition at the Library of Congress explores the fascinating evolution of visual storytelling styles in comic art – from panels in early newspapers to contemporary images of some of the most famous and funny characters in print. “Comic Art: 120 Years of Panels and Pages” opens Sept. 12 and will be on view for a year in the Graphic Arts Galleries of the Library’s Thomas Jefferson Building.
The exhibition draws from the Library’s extensive collection of comic art, which includes some of the earliest comics, including the first successful newspaper comic strip featuring Richard Outcault’s “The Yellow Kid,” early drawings of “Peanuts,” superheroes including Batman, Superman and the Incredible Hulk in modern comic books, and much more.
“The Yellow Kid,” first published in a panel in the New York World newspaper in 1895, is credited with sparking the rise of comics as a new American art form. By the middle of the 20th century, a growing number of diverse comic artists were examining their own life stories and commenting on culture and politics while expanding into graphic novels, fanzines and web comics. Comic art characters and narratives have also spread across film, television, books and marketing to reach even more people.

Final Major Project - Final Exhibtion
On the final day, I made minor touch ups to my final show, and took down the plastic for photographs. Throughout the day, I may continue to make minor adjustments but overall, I am incredibly happy with how this turned out.
For the show, I will be leaving a note to those working and showing people around, to continue to replenish the comics displayed during the exhibition. I will also be putting up a sign, explaining the comics and the charity behind them.

Victorian Monkey Tennis?

These notes appear in the archives without an author, but display a series of one-line ideas, added over a period of time (months?) for developing the north London pleasure-ground of Alexandra Palace, which was perennially on the verge of bankruptcy. Comics + Donation Box - Final Exhibtion
As part of the exhibition, and for my own benefit to help ease the transition into a very commercial based course at University, I decided to create comics for visitors to the exhibition to take away, with the incentive to make a small donation to a local charity who aid transgender youth, which also fits with the theme of my project.
To do this, I had to first create the donation box, which we initially struggled to do, however eventually, managed to create one that worked also as a table for the comics to sit on.

Pages 3 & 4 - Final Exhibtion
I then started work on the middle two, the most visible pages. I felt that it was the right decision to re-do the fourth page, and switch around the second and third, as I felt that this made for a much more successful comic, and really showcased the most telling pages to better inform visitors of my project’s theme.
I have been leaving off the bottom row as I do these pages, to make painting to floor easier and reduce the likelihood of damage to the final piece.
