Ah shit I ran out of tags and I don’t want to copy paste them all to the body so imma reblog this addition with fresh new tags as a continuation
Tumblr media
V2 X MIRAGE STATUS : FANON
PROPAGANDA : "Mirage is what I'd classify as a human-coded machine, her characteristics are nigh indistinguishable from a human's beyond her appearance. V2 is... just a machine. marketed as a sentient swiss army knife as a desperate effort to make money.
this shows through their stories, which are strongly themed around the concepts of mind and body respectively; M almost entirely dismissing the physical world around her in favor of obsessing over her mind, and V2 thinking of nothing but the theft of their body.
on the more poetic front; despite all odds toward the contrary, Mirage is alive, and V2 is dead.
despite this, or perhaps inevitably due to the single-rail nature of their storylines, M begins to intentionally care about her physical world and self, and V2 starts to think about the nature of itself and its role, thus subverting themselves and crossing over one another.
neither will make the same mistakes the other happened to make, because they have the other to guide them.
conversely both will appreciate watching the other's growth, and see themself in the other. they appreciate each other's company on a general basis of "you won't kill me, and I like to talk to you" but also on the deeper basis of "we're both willing to learn from each other"
on the actual relationship note it's kind of a grey area between friends/lovers situation, really no point in defining a relationship when you're the only two beings in existence.
general physicality is an inevitability (see latter part of previous statement, plus they're both engineered to connect with others), but I'd imagine anything they do romantically or sexually begins more as a calculated experiment than pure instinct. they also just like each other! they both want to make the other feel good!" -recursivetransformarray
V1 X GABRIEL STATUS : FANON
PROPAGANDA : N/A
WALL E X EVE STATUS : CANON
PROPAGANDA : "I love Wall-E and Eve so much. That movie was my childhood, and they are THE robot couple. Their romance is so good they don't even need to speak! Define dancing is one of the best scenes from anything ever, and Wall-E x Eve is one of the best romances from anything ever" - guy who submitted them
if theres another tie wall-e and eve will be added to the group because i think thatd be funny

summary: and what seemed like fate becomes "what the hell was i doin'?" ; aka time heals all wounds, so they say, but has it been long enough for it to heal the one he left?
warnings: the highly requested part two to ‘august’, use of she/her pronouns, childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance, oscar giving lando advice bc duh, pining, language, lando absolutely word vomiting when it comes to his feelings, fluff towards the end.
‘august’ | listen | masterlist
oscar piastri took pride in being more observant rather than being the life of the party. he much rather preferred to be labeled as the 'wall hugger' rather than the wild child between him and his teammate. he let lando have that role, opting on sitting on the sidelines more often than not.
but tonight, it was completely different. the aussie driver had agreed to hitting the club in monaco tonight to celebrate charles' first home win and his own second place finish. he couldn't shake the feeling that something was going on with his teammate, eyeing him as he sat down in the lounge area the group had gotten for the evening. something out of the normal for the brit.
he decided to take matters into his own hands, joining his friend on the couch. lando sent a tight lipped smile to his teammate, another red flag the aussie picked up on. he wasn't sporting his usual smile, the one that beamed. one of pure joy.
"you feeling alright, mate?" oscar asked, genuinely concerned.
lando nodded in response, "'m good, just a bit tired."
he hummed, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked out at the dance floor of people. the crowd normally lando would be in the middle of, but not tonight.
"gonna make me pry it out of you or are you just gonna tell me?"
lando chuckled softly, letting out a soft sigh, "y'know that new reporter for sky who was in the media pen earlier?"
oscar furrowed his eyebrows in concentration, trying to remember your name, "think so? shit, what was her name?"
"y/n," lando said and oscar nodded in agreement.
"yeah, that's it," the aussie turned back to look at his teammate, "what about her?"
"well, a few years ago, her and i kind of..." lando trailed off, leaving his teammate to raise his eyebrows.
"you two had a thing?"
lando nodded, "yeah, she had a vacation rental next to mine in the states, and one summer we just really hit it off. y'know, we went on dates and eventually it turned into something more, and... oscar, i was in love with her."
the australian was shocked, "did you tell her?"
"i did," lando nodded, swallowing before continuing, "and i was with her when i got the call that they wanted me to join the team, and i just... i fucking left. i left without waking her up and saying goodbye. the best few months of my entire life, falling in love with someone who has never made me feel more loved and appreciated, and it all went down the drain because i fucked it all up."
oscar sat in silence for a minute, processing what the brit next to him had just told him, "well, do you still love her?"
"i never stopped," lando looked over at his teammate, his expression showing the guilt he still felt for leaving that one night, "i don't think i could ever."
"have you told her?"
he shook his head, "pretty sure she hates my guts, so, no."
oscar sighed, "listen, although she has every reason to hate you, i mean, i would too, doesn't mean deep down that she does. obviously, running into you again has probably brought up all of those feelings she worked to get over, but if you really feel the way you're telling me you feel about her, and it seems like you do, you gotta fight for it. you can't just let her slip through your fingers, again, and live a miserable life. nothing's gonna come out of it if you don't work for it."
lando sat in shock at his teammate, blinking at him like a deer in headlights. he had never known oscar to be this wise when it comes to relationship advice. he truly didn't know he had it in him.
"what?" the aussie laughed, "mate, i've been with lily for five years. you think we haven't had our own fair share of ups and downs?"
"no, i'm just amazed that at your age you're so wise." lando joked back, the two of them laughing.
"yeah, whatever," oscar waved him off, "but seriously, i mean what i said."
he nodded, "i know, i just don't know when i should talk to her."
oscar shrugged, "the sooner the better. that way you stop moping around like a sad, lost puppy."
lando jokingly rolled his eyes, pulling his phone from his pocket, "shut up."
his heart hammered in his chest at the thought of messaging you, opening instagram. but, just when he went to open his messages, your profile picture caught his eye at the top of the screen. he tapped onto the story you had posted not long ago, holding it down so it wouldn't disappear as he scanned over the picture.
you were still at the track, posting a picture from one of the offices. a video from your interviews today sitting on the screen, clear that you had stayed late to finish working on them. a caption written out on the photo.
'in desperate need of another cup of coffee'
he was up on his feet before he could even think through what he was about to do. shoving his phone in his pocket as oscar smiled at him softly.
"where're you heading?"
lando turned, walking backwards away from the lounge area, shouting over the bass of the club music playing loudly through the speakers, "'m feeling like having a cup of coffee! thanks for your help, osc!"
oscar raised his glass in a cheers motion to his teammate, watching him turn around and make a beeline for the exit. lily found her way to the lounge area, sitting next to her boyfriend and jabbing her thumb over her shoulder, motioning towards his teammate.
"where's he heading?"
oscar smiled, swallowing the sip of his drink, "going to get his girl."
the night breeze in the monaco air felt nice on lando's skin, a contrast against the overly warm club he had been in. he pulled his phone out once again, searching for a coffee shop that would still be open at this hour. he found one that looked promising after a few minutes of searching, putting in the directions to it and taking off in the direction.
he ignored the hammering of his heart in his chest as he carefully placed the cup in the holders of his car. was it the best idea to show up unannounced with a coffee in hand, especially when he wasn't sure how you felt about him? probably not. but after the conversation with oscar, all he could think about was how he couldn't lose you again. how even after searching for someone to fill the ache in his heart that was put there by his own doing, no one could compare to you. they couldn't ever be you, even if they tried or if he tried to make it work. it wasn't the same.
he parked the car, heading towards the building he knew all the journalists worked in. some of them still hanging around, sending lando smiles but confusion clear in their eyes as his eyes scanned the room.
"do you know where y/n is?" he asked an older man, a guy he had recognized to be your camera man from earlier. the man nodded, pointing towards the room with glass walls. he could see you in the room, your back facing the door. headphones sitting on top of your head, clearly invested in your work. he swallowed nervously, thanking the man before heading towards the room.
you hadn't noticed he entered the room until a hand placing a coffee next to you caught your attention. you slipped the headphones off, placing them on the desk before turning to see who was standing behind you.
he met your eyes, which were also laced with confusion as you spun around in your chair. he sent you a small, nervous smile. the same smile you had given him in the media pen hours ago.
"lando? what're you doing here?" you asked, "and how did you.."
he smiled softly, "saw your story."
"what is it?" you asked, moving to grab the warm cup, "i mean, i like my coffee-"
"with light cream and two and a half sugars. the pink packets, though, not the white ones."
your heart squeezed in your chest, he remembered the way you liked your coffee.
you took a sip of the warm liquid, tasting exactly the way you liked it. you took in a deep breath, meeting his green eyes once again and you swore you were slowly falling in love with him again. it was like you were back at the beach house, back at the exact moment you had realized you were in love with him.
maybe the feelings you thought had gone away after the years weren't truly gone.
your lipstick left a pretty mark on the white lid and he scanned your facial features. in the dim lighting you were still as gorgeous as the day he met you, pretty colored eyes that complimented the color of the strands of your hair. a pair of glasses sitting comfortably on your face, remembering that you only wore them when your eyes were starting to get irritated after a long day.
your voice was soft, "lando, what're you doing here?" you asked again, still confused on why he had come, "i mean, other than dropping off a coffee, which thank you for, by the way, but shouldn't you be out with the rest of the drivers? y'know, celebrating..?"
"well, i was," lando breathed, ignoring how it came out a little shaky, “but, to be honest, i just.. really want to talk to you.”
everything he rehearsed in his head during the driver over here was going out the window with each passing second. the longer he looked in your eyes the more he wished he had never walked out of that house all those years ago. the more it was eating him up inside that he let the best thing he ever had go, that he never told you why.
you sighed, pointing over your shoulder to the screen behind you, “i really have to finish this,”
“it’ll be quick,” he was almost begging. about to get on his knees if he had to, “promise.”
you nodded, your brain yelling at you for agreeing but your heart almost leaping out of your chest at the fact that he was here. standing in front of you. right now. when he could’ve been at the club, wrapped around some other girl. but he wasn’t.
“okay, just, let me grab my things.”
he nodded, biting down on his lower lip nervously as you saved your work and exited out of the editing software. you packed up everything in your bag, pushing the chair in before grabbing your coffee from the desk.
he held out his hand, “here,”
you furrowed your eyebrows in response. he motioned to the bag and you smiled softly, “oh, thanks,”
he nodded, letting you lead him out of the office. you said goodnight to the crew that was left, not batting an eye at the looks they gave you for having the, arguably, most sought out driver on the grid tailing behind you.
once you were outside, he walked next to you. matching your pace as he looked over at you, “so, uhm, how’re they treating you at sky?”
you nodded, “good,” you smiled softly, “didn’t expect i’d work in the same sport as you, to be honest.”
“you’re telling me you didn’t follow me here to make me realize i’ve been missing out all this time?” he joked and you laughed, shoving his shoulder with yours.
“shut it,”
“sorry, too soon?”
you chuckled, “forever might be too soon.”
he chuckled with you, unlocking the doors to the mclaren. he opened the passenger side door, letting you sit down in the seat. you took your bag from him and smiled, a silent thank you, before he closed the door for you and rounded the front of the car to get in on his side. he started the car, looking back over at you, "hungry?"
you hummed, "starving."
"perfect," he said, putting in the directions for a place he knew you'd like. you rubbed your lips together nervously, watching the monaco lights pass by you. the breeze was nice, something you could get used to.
you cut through the silence that fell over the two of you, speaking over the soft music he had put on for the drive, "so, what did you want to talk about?"
he looked over at you, the red of the stoplight illuminating his face. he had grown into his features, but the boyish things about him was what you loved. the way his dimples deepened the wider his smile was, the moles and freckles that littered his skin like stars, and you had noticed the small scar on the bridge of his nose. one that wasn't there years prior, but you had grown to love. you silently hoped he'd tell you the story sometime. wanting to know every detail of his life the past few years, the years you spent watching from the sidelines.
"about what happened," he said, the light turning green and his attention fixing back to the road, continuing to drive, "i feel like i owe you a very long, detailed, explanation."
you nodded as he pulled into a parking lot, "okay, yeah," you breathed out softly, "sure."
he parked the car, turning the engine off before looking back at you. you turned to face him, giving him a soft smile as he looked at you, eyes dancing around your face before he took a deep breath.
"listen, i know it's been a while and i really wouldn't blame you if you hate my guts, but i just... can't. i can't pretend that i've lived in a world i'm completely satisfied with. and i can't bring myself to fall in love with someone else because no matter what, i find myself wishing i was with you, at that stupid beach house where i first felt what love truly felt like."
you sat in silence, taking in his rambling thoughts. this conversation definitely wasn't going as well as he had rehearsed it in his head, but it was too late to turn back now. he was sitting here, spewing every emotion he's felt over the past couple of years in front of you. it's how he truly felt. no filter, no hoops to jump through, just pure emotion and longing and hints of regret, and true apologies.
"you're the first thing i think of when i wake up and the last thing i think of before i go to bed, and hell, sometimes i even find you in my dreams because for a while that was the only place where you and i co-existed. and i'm so fucking sorry for how i left you, how i packed up and moved on with my life without even considering how you would feel. it makes me sick to my stomach to think about the fact that i've fucked up the part of my life that felt normal. that felt real, and all because i was too much of a coward to tell you what was going on. too scared to drag you into all of this,"
he was still rambling and you couldn't help the way your heart hammered against your chest. the moment you had wished for all these years finally unfolding in front of your eyes and you couldn't help the tears that were starting to prick your eyes.
"but now, you're here, and i'm here, and... holy fuck i'm still so in love with you."
his throat bobbed, swallowing down the nerves as you watched him. you were speechless, unsure how to respond to everything he had just spewed to you. your heart was caught in your throat, the tears closer to spilling over after his rambling. he had said everything he was feeling and little did he know it was the same way you had been feeling too.
after every wish and journal entry wishing he'd waltz back into your life, he finally was here. sitting across from you, and now you were speechless. unable to find the words to tell him you felt the same way.
"i'm sorry," he mumbled, looking away and straight ahead of him, almost as if he was embarrassed to spring all of that onto you, "that was a lot all at once, i'm sorry-"
you leaned over the center console, grabbing his face in your hands, turning him to face you and smashing your lips against his. the tears falling down now at the feeling of having him this close again. the familiar feeling of having his lips on yours again being enough to send them dripping down and onto your shirt.
he was quick to kiss you back, as soon as the initial shock wore off. his hand moving to cup your cheek, deepening the kiss as you grabbed his shirt in your fist, not wanting to let go after he had been away from you all this time.
he pulled away when he needed to catch his breath, forehead resting against yours. you smiled softly, the two of you panting breathless and in love. he brought his thumb up to your cheek, wiping away the few stray tears that were still lingering. you leaned into his touch and he pressed a kiss to the corner of your mouth.
"i love you," you breathed, nose bumping his, "so much. i never stopped, even after you left."
he smiled, his voice soft, "i'll spend a lifetime making it up to you."
you shook your head, "it doesn't matter. you're here now, that's all that matters."
"can i start with dinner?" he asked, smiling softly and brushing a piece of hair from your face. you hummed and nodded, pulling away from him as he got out of the car, jogging to open your door. you smiled and placed a quick kiss to his lips, joining your hands together. he walked with you into the restaurant, and as he opened the door for you all he could think about how he was the luckiest man on earth.
there was no way he was letting you again. you were incomparable. chemical.

He always rises - Lewis Hamilton
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Happy Lewis for the win here.
request: " idk if you saw lewis laying down on the sofa in the post race press conference, but all i could think about is him knocking out immediately back at the hotel😂 With this prompt: “snuggle with me” - @goldenroutledge
pairing: Lewis Hamilton x Reader!
wordcount: +1K
a/n: It was a blurb request from our 500 Celebration, but it ran from me. It's totally self-indulgent. If Lewis is happy we're happy, hope you like it ❤️
As always, I'm open for feedback, come say hi!
______________________________________________________________
The air crackled with a different kind of electricity this time around in the finishing stages of the Spanish Grand Prix. The dejection that had clung to Lewis like a second skin all season seemed to have evaporated, replaced by a genuine, unrestrained smile that stretched from ear to ear.
A podium finish, his first of the season, might not have been the win he was used to fighting for, but in the context of their current struggles, it felt like a monumental victory.
As Lewis climbed out of his car and removed his helmet, he heard the crowd erupting in cheers. He gave some of his team a brief celebratory hug before his eyes locked onto Y/N standing by corner of the gates of parc ferme.
He made his way over to her, a triumphant grin lighting up his face. “You were amazing out there!” Y/N beamed, her eyes sparkling with pride. Lewis leaned in and gave her a quick hug, savoring the sweetness of the moment.
He breezed through the post-race interviews; the guardedness of the recent races replaced by a playful banter with the reporters, jokes with Verstappen and Norris during the press conference, and selfies afterwards.
The celebratory mood followed him back to the garage. It was a welcome change from the frustration and disappointment that had plagued the first half of his final season with Mercedes. High fives were exchanged, engineers bouncing on the spot with unbridled joy. Relief washed over that whole side of the garage.
Y/n were by the hospitality area, her laughter mingling with the animated chatter of other Mercedes personnel. The sight of her, so carefree and happy amidst the team's, his team, was pure joy to him.
He excused himself from his press secretary for a few moments, his long strides eating up the distance between them in seconds, eager for a private moment amidst the chaos.
“Hey, gorgeous,” he said softly, pulling her into a secluded corner just as he kissed her deeply, pouring all the relief and joy he felt into that kiss. Y/N smiled against his lips, her arms wrapping around his neck.
He cupped her face in his hands, his smile mirroring the one that had been plastered across her face all afternoon. That kiss had been different. It wasn't just a celebratory peck; it was a culmination of all the stress, the frustration, the unwavering belief that had finally been validated. It spoke of a shared burden, a weight finally off their shoulders.
"You look radiant," he murmured against your lips, his voice husky with emotion.
"And you," she countered, tracing a finger down his cheek "look like a kid that has been given way too many sweets."
He chuckled, the sound light and carefree. "Maybe a little. I just feel… relieved."
"I know, babe. We all know." she squeezed his hand. " Now, go. They’re waiting for you. I’ll head back to the hotel and wait there."
He lingered for a moment longer, the unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. Finally, with a gentle squeeze of her hand, he pulled away. "Debrief. Then straight to the hotel. I’ll see you in a bit." Y/n nodded, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
When he finally made it back to the hotel, he was physically and mentally drained, and the room was a welcome refuge. the sight that greeted him made his heart swell. Y/N was curled up on the bed, wearing one of his oversized hoodies, looking cozy and content.
“Hey, you,” she greeted him with a warm smile. “You look exhausted. Come snuggle with me.”
Lewis didn’t need to be asked twice. He kicked off his shoes and collapsed onto her arms in the bed, resting his head on her chest, her fingers gently tracing patterns on his skin. "Looking mighty comfy in my clothes, there, love," he teased, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips.
"Just borrowing what's mine anyway" she retorted, a playful glint in her eyes. "Besides, it smells like you." Lewis couldn't help but chuckle.
"How are you feeling, really?" Y/n asked softly after a few moments of silence, her fingers gently stroking his hair.
Lewis sighed, closing his eyes as he savored the comfort of her presence. "Like the kind of relief I felt when you finally said yes to that twentieth date I asked you on."
Y/n swatted him playfully on the arm. "It was more like 10” laughing with him before continuing. “But seriously, Lewis."
He nuzzled closer, his voice dropping to a murmur. "Like I knew I'd given it my all, every lap, every strategy meeting. And finally, finally, it’s paying off. It feels… good. It feels so damn good."
She hummed in agreement, running her fingers through his hair in a comforting rhythm. She knew how much this podium meant to him; how hard he had worked for it. “I’m so proud of you” she whispered, pressing a kiss to his head.
They talked for a while, about anything and everything, the sound of her voice a soothing lullaby to his tired mind. His eyelids grew heavy, the weight of exhaustion finally catching up to him. Y/N continued to stroke his hair, her touch soothing and gentle. “Get some rest, love,” she murmured. “You’ve earned it.” Lewis nodded, his eyes fluttering shut.
The gentle rise and fall of Y/n’s chest a lullaby against his ear and he drifted off to sleep as she watched him sleep, committing every detail of his face to memory – the crinkle around his eyes when he smiled, the slight furrow in his brow that appeared when he was concentrating, the way his lips twitched even in sleep. He looked peaceful, content.
Such a contrast to the man who had carried the weight of the team's struggles on his shoulders for the past years.
The tranquility was shattered with a sharp trill of Lewis' phone. He stirred slightly, a low groan escaping his lips. Y/n reached over and silenced the call, earning a mumbled "thank you" from him before he tried to drift back to sleep. However, the respite was short-lived. The phone buzzed again, more insistently this time.
Seeing the name flashing on the screen again, Y/n gently nudged him awake, knowing how important his family was to him. "It's your dad”
He cracked open one eye, a playful glint returning. "Spoiling my nap, aren't you?"
She lightly ran her nails in his arms with a smile to really wake him up. "Just making sure you don't miss his call."
He chuckled; the exhaustion momentarily forgotten. "Alright, alright. Put it on speaker." You reached for the phone and hit accept, setting it on his abdomen
"Lewis?" Anthony's voice boomed through the speaker.
"Hey, dad" Lewis replied, his voice still laced with sleep but a genuine warmth evident.
"Saw the race! You looked brilliant, son. That podium finish, about time, eh?"
Lewis' smile widened. "Yeah, feels good, Dad. Finally."
On the other end of the line, Anthony chuckled. "Damn straight. You know, I always knew you'd turn it around, even when things were looking a bit rough. Never doubted you for a second."
Lewis could practically hear the pride in his father's voice. "Means a lot to hear that from you, dad."
Y/n continued massaging the root of his braids as he spoke, her fingers expertly navigating his skin. The rhythmic motion lulled him further, but he made sure to keep the conversation going. They talked about the race, the team's struggles, the upcoming schedule. All the while, she listened, a silent observer in their father-son bond
Finally, after a good ten minutes of conversation, Lewis ended the call. He turned to Y/n, a grateful smile on his face. "Thanks for making me take that."
"Yep" she replied, leaning in to kiss him softly. "He's happy, isn't he?"
"Yeah" Lewis confirmed, pulling her closer. "Proud as punch."
He closed his eyes, basking in the warmth of her touch and the afterglow of the conversation.  After a few moments, Lewis spoke again, his voice a soft murmur. “Thank you for being here for me, Y/N. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Y/N smiled, her heart overflowing with love. “You don’t have to thank me, Lewis. I’m here for you, no matter what.”
Lewis closed his eyes, letting out a contented sigh. “I’m the luckiest man in the world,” he whispered. Y/N leaned down and kissed his forehead again. “And I’m the luckiest woman,” she replied softly. “Now, get some sleep. I’ll wake you later for some food, okay?!”
He hummed in agreement, a content sigh escaping his lips. Silence settled over the room again, a was a comfortable quiet, filled with a sense of peace as he drifted off to sleep once more, the gentle rise and fall of his chest a calming rhythm. Y/n continued massaging his braids, her fingers lingering on the intricate patterns.
As the last rays of sunlight streamed through the window, bathing the room in a soft golden glow, she kept on watching him sleep. A sense of immense pride welled up within her. She’d borne witness to the challenges this season had thrown at him. She'd seen him at his most frustrated, his most discouraged. Yet, he'd persevered, because that was him, that was the Lewis that had insisted on asking her out until she finally said yes, the Lewis she had fallen in love.
He always rises, no matter what.

forty, love | part 3 | natasha romanoff
Tumblr media
part 3 of forty, love | read part 2
synopsis: nothing's changed, or everything's changed, really, in the years away from you. natasha doesn't know which is better.
natasha romanoff x tennis player! reader
word count: 5k words
a/n: the final part to this very wonderful series. i hope you enjoy reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it. as always, thank you for your support.
masterlist
working up the courage to approach you after the match felt like having to work up the courage to approach you at graduation, except this time, she was being pushed around by a swarm of other reporters, cameramen, and the fans, all trying to get a glimpse of the winner of the grand slam. it was no longer the college’s favourite tennis player that she was seeing, no, it was almost as if she was looking at a completely different person.
you were grinning from ear to ear, unbothered by the fans coming in swarms and happily signing each ball, each cap, each shirt that was passed your way. natasha assumed when you were in the position that you were in, paying fan service to the fans was the least you could do. the crowd was singing your name, and natasha was getting drowned out by people who were much taller, much bigger, and louder than her.
but then, by a stroke or luck, or mere fate, your eyes were roaming the crowd again, as if looking for someone. you were smiling and laughing with everyone around you, but your eyes betrayed the intention behind your search. somehow, this time, you caught natasha’s gaze in the crowd, among the many fans towering over her, among the cameras over her head obscuring your view. your smile faltered in the slightest bit, and natasha’s heart dropped.
it was going to be like a repeat of graduation. it was going to be you, telling her no, not to come any closer again, and forcing her to retreat. it was you refusing to take her back, even then, even now. she took one step back, almost stepping on the foot of a photographer behind her, when you suddenly pulled your manager in by the collar, and whispered something to him. she saw his eyes shift to her as well, and he nodded, walking towards her while you returned your attention to the people around you. natasha found herself being escorted to your dressing room.
you only came in half an hour afterwards, when natasha had finished biting the last of her fingernails, and paced around the room about a hundred times by then. but when the door unlocked and you stepped in, it felt like natasha’s breath was knocked out of her lungs again.
“hi,” you started, giving her a small smile. you were carrying the trophy natasha watched you receive with joy earlier. but then, you set the trophy down behind you, not even giving it a second thought when you returned your attention to the woman before you. you had decided natasha was more important in that moment.
it was awkward at first; speaking after years of no contact. “hi.”
“you came.”
she wanted to say of course, i watch every single match of yours, but instead, she uttered, “yeah, my company sent me. i was covering the finals.”
you chuckled, nodding. you took the seat across from her, trailing your eyes up and down natasha. you thought she still looked like the woman you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. natasha caught you casually glancing at her fingers, and at the absence of a ring on the fourth one, you were ashamed that she had seen your expression brightening.
you cleared your throat, desperate to change the subject. “you did what you always wanted to do. i always told you journalism was much more fun than chemical engineering.”
natasha couldn’t control the laughter that bubbled at her throat, remembering all the times she complained to you of how much she hated her degree, no matter how good she was at it. she always had a fondness for covering stories instead. you had been supportive of her pursuing her dreams, but she had wanted to be practical. you were proud that she was finally doing it then. “yeah, i tried my hand at a smaller firm after college, then i got this opportunity and…”
“...and you’re amazing at it. like i knew you always would be.”
she blushed brightly, fingers digging into the couch she was sitting on. then, she sat up. “but you! look at you…winning a grand slam, finally.”
it was your turn to get a little shy, sneaking a look back at the trophy, the shining Tiffany silver, and shrugging. “i won a grand slam.”
“congratulations.”
you thanked her, replying with, “it’s been a long time coming. i think…and i’m sure you know, you knew, that it’s all i ever wanted ever since i started playing. and now…it feels a bit surreal.”
“you deserved it more than anyone.”
there was no smugness, or arrogance, in your expression. it was one of quiet relief. natasha thought you still looked so beautiful when you sighed, nodding towards her in happiness.
then came the reason for why you had invited her to your dressing room. “i was very happy to see you. i thought i’d seen you, from way down in the court and you were in the hospitality suite, but i thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. and then you came to see me after the win, and i knew it…it hit me like a ton of bricks.”
natasha’s lips were already quivering, watching you nervously profess to her of the reality that she too, had been experiencing, since seeing you again. “i was very happy to see you too.”
the glint in your eyes twinkled, knee bouncing in excitement as you heard her words. you had doubted if natasha was happy, or even willing to say yes, when you had asked your manager to ask her if she wanted to see you after. you were half-expecting her to say no, or to leave after a brief congratulations with you, but she stayed. the both of you stayed, in that dressing room for hours after, catching up and laughing and talking like the years had never passed. you forgot that natasha was once your best friend before she became the love of your life.
and at the end of the day, when your team had to inevitably ask you to leave the room so they too, could pack up and return to celebrate, you were yearning not to have the time with natasha come to an end. you asked her if she had work to do, or any other players to interview or cover for, but when she said no, and looked back at you in hopes for something more, you decided to risk the chance.
“would you…want to go get dinner with me then?” you asked, fingers gripping the ends of your racket bag strap, drumming in anticipation.
the look of surprise on her face caught you off-guard for a moment. “y-you don’t have plans? to celebrate?”
she watched you sheepishly admit, “to be honest, no. i didn’t expect to actually win the slam and…and i usually celebrate by myself, alone in my hotel room. which i know is pretty lame, and boring, but i just like to–”
“–to take it all in.”
“you remember,” you grinned, and at natasha’s laugh, it grew even wider. you had missed hearing that laugh so much.
she nodded, affirming you, “i remember. and i would really like to, getting dinner with you.”
you asked natasha if it was okay, for old time’s sake, that the both of you visited a diner a little outside of town. a little afraid that she would be upset that you weren’t taking her for an upscale restaurant, or high-end steak place, considering your status and the occasion then, but she said yes. she found that your preference for the little things never really changed, including your love for the nostalgia of celebrating the way the both of you celebrated in your years in college.
with a fry in your mouth, you watched as natasha let out an uneasy chuckle halfway through dinner. then, she joked, “i guess you only stopped your losing streak after you left me, huh? maybe i was what was weighing you down for so long, stopping you from winning a grand slam earlier.”
“you weren’t.” natasha was a little taken aback at the seriousness, and the hint of vexation, of your tone. your expression too, had gone solemn.
“i–i mean–”
“–you weren’t the cause of my losing streak, natasha. and you definitely were the reason for my winning of a grand slam so early in my career. i want you to know that.” you were all i thought about before, during, and after my matches. you were all i ever thought about.
she nodded, indicating that she understood. the atmosphere had gotten awkward again, no thanks to natasha’s self-deprecation. but you let down your own guard a bit, and offered her a taste of your drink.
inevitably, you also asked, “how’s steve? did you and him make it? are you guys still together now?”
it was natasha’s turn to laugh, quite incredulously this time, to your face. your eyebrows raised, she let out another snort before she managed to calm herself down. “n-no! steve and i…we were never a thing. and we would never be, because…”
“...because?” you continued, but then natasha did a gesture, a flick of her wrist downwards, and her eyebrows telling you what it was suggestively, and it hit you. oh. oh.
the fit of giggles and chuckles that left the both of you at the same time was infectious, as both you natasha leaned forwards with how hard you were laughing. her hair shrouding a little of her face, she was still incredibly breathtaking even as she was snorting and laughing her heart out with you. you almost hadn’t wanted the moment to end, pure joy indescribable in both your faces.
the both of you talked, and talked even more, into the night. it was like the years had never passed, like nothing had ever changed. at dessert, she even spotted another couple ordering a milkshake, and plucked up the courage to ask you, “can we share a milkshake too?”
your eyes travelled to the couple, and the memories of how the both of you would head to the diner for your weekly cheat meal and share a milkshake after when you won matches all returning to you then. it was a bittersweet memory that you enjoyed very much with natasha.
she always liked the flavour with chocolate ribbons, and you loved vanilla. in the past, you would argue over the flavour that you would order, the other never backing down on their insistence for the superior flavour.
natasha, noticing your silence, and longing gaze at the couple, suddenly cleared her throat nervously. maybe it was too much, maybe she was being too much. “it’s perfectly fine if you don’t want to. you’re probably on a strict diet now, and it’s probably weird, to share a milkshake with someone who’s like a stranger, and–”
you returned your gaze to her, smiling. “–we can share a milkshake.”
you flagged the waitress down, and natasha’s heart skipped a beat when you told her that you wished to order a milkshake with chocolate ribbons without so much as a thought for your own preferred flavour. she remembers as well as you did of your little fights.
when the milkshake arrived, you even grabbed the little bottle of sprinkles by the table, and let it pour all over the top of the whipped cream, just like how natasha liked it. you remembered everything.
she caught herself from reaching over to kiss you, many times, as the both of you inserted straws into the drink and began sipping the sweet treat.
you could tell natasha was longing for something more, still. she guessed she hadn’t realised how much she had really missed you; of course she did, she always did, but seeing you in the flesh again, spending the night and catching up with you, it felt like she was taken back to a happier, simpler time. natasha never realised just how much she had lost, being apart from you.
however, on the other hand, you were scared, and doubtful, of the woman before you. had natasha really changed, or grown up, you weren’t sure. for all you knew the reason she was making you so happy, and was being so kind, in the moment, was all because you had won the grand slam. if you hadn’t, things would have been completely different. you couldn’t be more wrong.
natasha never cared about the grand slam, or the trophy you carried in, or even your career at all. all she wanted to see was you, and all she wanted was you. she just missed you.
you let natasha finish the shake, and when she did, you joked this time, “have you gotten enough insider scoop for your coverage of the US Open, then, ms. romanoff?”
you gestured towards the clip-on name tag natasha still had on her breast pocket, grinning at the title of senior reporter. it fit her so well. but that smile quickly disappeared, when instead of laughing along with you, natasha suddenly looked down, pushing the milkshake away dejectedly. a hurt look flashed onto her face, before she tried hiding it under the guise of looking away at something else.
“you think i said yes to dinner with you so i could get information for my firm?”
damage control. damage control, now, the sirens in your head immediately rang, as you sat up straighter, panicked at hearing her voice crack. “n-no, no. of course not. i was kidding, i didn’t mean to make you feel that way.”
“i’m not using you, if you think that’s what this is.”
“of course, i didn’t…” you choked on your words, “...that wasn’t in my mind at all. i trust you, natasha.”
it was a relief to hear, of course, but the sting was still there. however, in your desperation, and perhaps regret, still, you reached out your hand, holding hers, and natasha physically melted into your touch. “please, please believe me. it was a joke, which i realise now is a badly made one. i never meant for it to sound like you were using me, because…because i really enjoyed tonight. i really, really wanted to hang out with you, and this is the best way i thought we could celebrate my grand slam. i’m sorry.”
after all this time, natasha thought, she somehow still had you wrapped around her finger. she rubbed her thumb over yours, and nodded. “i understand. apology accepted.”
afterwards, you offered natasha a deal; free VIP passes to any future matches she wished to watch you in, in exchange for her forgiveness of the crudeness of your words. she found it adorable that you were still so apologetic, and touched when she got reminded that this was precisely the person she fell so hard for.
–
natasha appeared for almost every single match that you played when she had pockets of breaks away from work. wherever you were on the court, you could look up to find her there; smiling encouragingly and cheering you on regardless of the scores. even when there were so few spectators that she was only one of a handful, and even when it was a match that drew in the thousands.
you often hung out after, and outside, the matches, natasha following you around the country when she secured a promotion that allowed her the flexibility to work remotely, and became, as one could call it as accurately as they could, best friends. you talked to her about your woes and struggles of your schedule, and she noticed that you loved it when she talked about her journalism too. she was there for you as much as you were there for her through it all this time.
still, natasha always wishes there could be something more. it could have been pure selfishness on her part, or dissatisfaction from something unfinished, but was it so wrong to want to keep you all to herself? often, when she toured around with you for your matches, she would catch the occasional pining gaze of others upon you, wanting to experience what it was like to have a champion for a partner, and it would fuel her blood boiling at people who she barely even knew. other times, when there were celebrities, or public figures, who flirted with her in interviews, and she was in your presence, it almost made her even more upset when you would only look briefly in her direction, almost trying to gauge her response, before looking away again. was it so wrong for you to want her again?
this time, she was there to love you and support you through your losses. though you were no longer the irrational, insecure, and doubtful youth player that you were in your college days, a loss was a loss and it would still hit a professional player as hard as it would a rookie when it came to feeling like you could have done better. when your confidence was shaken, natasha would be there to hug you after your matches, whispering words of encouragement and telling you that you did your best out there. you hugged her back just as tight. when you received an unfair result, natasha was there to shit talk the umpire just as much as you were, allowing you to crack a grin and eventually end up laughing along with her on the poor person that was destined to give you the poor score. and finally, when you tell her that she could skip the next match if she wanted because you feared the result, she told you that she wasn’t going anywhere, and she would be just as happy to see you as she would be in any other match.
eventually, natasha proposed that the two of you forget about tennis altogether when you were alone and outside of the tennis courts. ice cream hangouts became simply talking about the flavour of the month instead of the impending match the following day, picking her up after her shifts at work became a nice solace for enjoying the music on the radio instead of talking about strategies that you could have used in matches earlier in the day, and movie nights became a time for you to rest your laurels for a bit, and lean your weight against natasha, to take away your stress and sorrows for the week instead of thinking about tennis the whole time. natasha would never know it was the respite you had so badly craved ever since you started playing professionally, and the closest thing to a work-life-balance you had between tennis and the woman you loved.
in those moments, natasha refused to talk about anything, or touch anything remotely close to tennis, when she was with you. she had reminded you that she was there to hang out with her friend outside the court, not the professional tennis player, and while it took you some time to dissociate your identity from all that you knew, which was tennis, you began to learn to like the person you were outside of the sport as well, all thanks to her.
and eventually, natasha noticed, you finally allowing yourself to look at anyone else in the face after losing matches, ready to confront and thank the crowd for their support, still. you seeking her for comfort after certain hard matches, instead of her coming to you, you letting someone else in to the world that you had carved a path for all by yourself, all those years ago. and with a support system like natasha, it was hard to lose many matches, not when you found confidence independent of your results and began climbing up the ladder to become one of the top tennis players of all time.
maybe the both of you had just grown older, maybe you both matured out of your college ways, or maybe something was different now; the way you would look at each other across the room and know, just know, what the other was thinking, what the other wanted. maybe something really had changed, when you would catch each other’s smiles and finish each other’s sentences. maybe natasha had changed, and so had you.
it was after a gruelling day in the office, natasha remembered, she wasn’t so sure of the date, but she had been of the time. she hadn’t asked you to, and she certainly told you to just go home after your match, since you would be tired and drained from the day, but you waited, in your car, until nearly 2 in the morning to pick her up and get her home safe. she had come out in a hurry, apologising for keeping you waiting and being so mentally exhausted from work herself. but you had gotten out of the car, and, taking her stuff away from her to load it into the back, you had come back for her afterwards, pulling her in for a tight, comforting hug before she could even open the car door. natasha immediately felt all of the stress and worries for the day melt away into the ground then, almost whimpering with how comforted she felt being in your arms. she felt like she could cry.
“it’s okay. you did great today.” you said, smiling down at her.
“how would you know?” she muttered into your sweater, letting you rock her back and forth for a minute, “you were busy being amazing at tennis.”
“i asked my manager to record you on the news while i played. watched it after. incredible how you could look so cool even when you’re delivering the news.” you got what you wanted when you heard her chuckle, finally letting go after making sure she knew she was off duty, and with you now.
your tennis rackets and equipment were still in the back of the car, and natasha got reminded just of the day you had before you even came to pick her up. “how was it? the match?”
you kept your answer brief, already driving into the parking lot of the diner the both of you first went after your grand slam win. natasha was craving for a milkshake after a long day. “i won.”
“that’s great!” she exclaimed, and you nodded, thinking that no matter how great it felt to win, somehow, the feeling of being able to see natasha after a long day felt even better.
the both of you ate in the car after, natasha laughing about a stupid thing your coach had told you during training, and you listening intently as she told you about a new unfolding story she was covering. it was safe, and familiar, and everything you had wanted after a match.
it was the way that natasha wiped a crumb off your cheek, eyes glistening with something you always knew was more than friendship, fingers soft against your skin. the realisation that you had always known, but never dared to admit, all came rushing back. it was now or never. you never wanted her to be apart from you ever again.
“natasha.”
she was busy finding the sprinkles in her shake. “mmm?”
“do you think we’ve changed?”
she paused for a moment, looking up at the dashboard, before letting out a nervous snort. “what makes you say that? what a serious topic for tonight.”
“because i’ve changed. i think i’ve changed, a lot.” you angled your body to face her fully, inviting her to do the same. she sensed the shift in emotion in your tone, and finally turned to look at you. your stance mirrored that of the one you had displayed so many times in the past, when you were apologising to her after a bad fight the both of you would have.
you continued. “i’m not…that kid anymore. that angry, hotheaded, smug, and insecure kid you knew back in college. i-i think i’ve changed, i’ve grown, and i don’t ever want to go back to what i was back then.”
“i know,” natasha probed, “i know you’ve changed. i’ve seen it in person.”
you nodded, biting the corner of your lip, and natasha sighed. “and i’ve changed too. i’m not someone…who projects her desires, her insecurities of losing, onto someone else anymore. i’ve found peace with myself, and the time apart from you…it’s really helped me find myself and what i wanted for my future. winning clearly doesn’t matter to me anymore, and though it is nice, i think being able to enjoy and live in the moment, with people i cherish and love, that’s what’s more important.”
“i’ve changed because of you.” the both of you managed to say at the same time, sending shocked looks to each other at least, before natasha laughed nervously and you grinned with your heart pumping in your chest.
she motioned for you to speak first, seeing as you had something so earnest on the tip of your tongue. “i was going to say…i’ve changed, and everything’s changed, but i don’t think i have loved you any less, over the years. my love for you, it is the one thing that’s remained the same.”
natasha knew and didn’t know what was happening, both at the same time, until you reached over the console, and held her shaking hand. “i still love you, i always have, over the years, until now. and i know you might call me stupid, or even rash, for trying to repair something that we clearly thought was broken back in college, but…but i think we can make it work, this time. i think we can try again, and have the love we always dreamed of back then, now, as adults.”
at her stunned silence, you persisted, “i’m not saying you have to say yes now, or for us to get back together now, but i want you to think about it. really think about it, because i am certain that you are the one i have always loved, and you are the one i want to spend the rest of my life loving. so–”
“–yes.”
it was your turn to stare at her in shock. “...yes?”
then, natasha had tears down her eyes again, this time filled with joy and relief, as she threw herself over the console, and into your arms. “yes, yes, you idiot! yes i’ll get back together with you, yes i want to love you for the rest of my life as much as you want to love me.”
she felt you chuckle in relief through her arms, bringing her in for a kiss right after.
–
“do you think you want kids? soon?” the topic had come up before, and while the both of you had discussed it briefly, it had never come to any real conclusion. natasha, naked and vulnerable and laying in your arms then, years after your confession outside the diner in your car, asked again.
you were still catching your breath  beside her, the activities of the night after such a win tiring you out more quickly after the activities in the day.  “i want whatever you want.”
“well…” natasha drew circles on the bare skin of your back, “...i want them. pretty soon. i think we should start a family.”
she felt your smile against her own skin, nodding in agreement. “sure.”
“sometimes i see the kids that show up at your matches, up in their parents arms and wearing your caps to cheer you on, or even the ball girls and boys eagerly rushing in and out to help you during the matches, and i can’t help but want them then and there. even now, i can’t help but want them right now, with us, in this moment.”
you leaned over to kiss her sensually, cradling her face in  your hands, before returning, “my love, are you saying you have baby fever during my matches? and not a lovesick, guttural, lusting feeling for your fiancee that is playing–”
“–oh shut up!” she groaned, throwing a pillow at your face, “you’re the one that brought that stupid trophy to bed before you even thought about bringing me on it!”
she pointed towards the trophy at the end of the room, that natasha had almost kicked in frustration when she came in after her shower, sported in a brand new lingerie set just for you, and caught you hugging it and trying to fall asleep. you had to remind her that doing so would have broken your heart, and definitely your proposal to get married with her.
she felt herself being rolled over then, out of sight of the trophy, as you nipped on her skin and apologised until she gave in again. she always gave in when it came to you. “sorry. got jealous that my very beautiful, very sexy fiancee is busy looking at how cute the kids that support my matches are, instead of me. totally my fault.”
the glare natasha shot at you was met with another kiss that made her melt, but you weren’t free just yet. she rolled you back to straddle you, hands pushing against your shoulders to say, “i still want the kids.”
“my god, woman,” you sat up, pulling her down with you, “you just fucked my brains out, and we have a wedding to attend tomorrow. let me marry you first tomorrow, and we’ll have the kids after, okay? one thing at a time.”
it was getting pretty late, as she reluctantly grumbled her agreement. she was already breaking rules by sleeping with you the night before her own wedding; but how could she not? when her bride looked as gorgeous as the one she was snuggled up with, natasha didn’t mind breaking a few rules.
“fine, but if you dare bring that godforsaken trophy tomorrow, baby…”
that sprang your eyes open, lulling you out of the sleep you had been succumbing to. “come on, it’s wimbledon, i won wimbledon! don’t you think people deserve to see a wimbledon trophy in the flesh once in their lives?!”
“but not at our wedding!”

Y/N sat in the conference room, tapping her foot nervously. It was time for assessment of the newest scouts and she was the last to go. Every single one of them had come out of Captain Levi’s office either looking dejected, shaken up, or outright crying. She had no clue what he could possibly be saying to everyone to elicit such reactions. Everyone had been nervous and she had no idea why. Captain Levi had been nothing but decent to her but her former classmates didn’t seem to share her view. In contrast, she wasn’t nervous for her meeting until she saw everyone else’s reactions.
As the door opened across the hall, she could hear quiet sobs followed by footsteps running down the hall. After a couple minutes, Captain Levi appeared in the door frame. “L/N?” he called before turning on his heel and walking back into his office. She followed after him quickly, stepping into his office as he held the door for her. Once she was inside, he shut the door behind her and gestured for her to sit. She complied as her captain took a seat across from her behind the desk. He took a moment to look through some papers before speaking. “So going over what your instructors had said when you were a cadet I’m not at all surprised you’re doing so well. You work well with the team and communicate. You’ve shown just how skilled you are in titan combat and you’re very professional in the workplace.”
“Thank you, sir.”
“My only suggestion is to stop taking such big risks. Your actions have never risked anyone else’s safety so I’ve never felt the need to say anything. But for your sake, make sure you’re not putting yourself in any unnecessary danger.”
“Understood, sir.”
“And with that in mind, I’d like to offer you a spot on the Special Operations Squad. We could use someone like you,” he said with the slightest ghost of a smile.
Her breath hitched and she was pretty sure her eyes widened. A spot on Captain Levi’s team? The Levi Squad, as it had been dubbed, was the best and most exclusive unit in all of the Scouts Regiment. “I’d love to, sir. Thank you.”
His shadow of a smile grew into a small one as he sat back in his seat. “Good. Seeing as I have nothing else to complain about, you’re dismissed.”
Not wanting to embarrass herself out of joy and excitement, she hurried out of the office. That was the meeting that had sent the rest of her teammates off crying? She didn’t dwell on it as she walked back towards her living quarters. As she walked through the hall, she could hear faint sobs and hushed, angry whispers coming through the doors. She ignored them until suddenly one of her classmates left her room with slightly red eyes. “Oh, Y/N,” Zelma greeted. “How was your meeting with the captain?” she asked, pity already creeping into her expression.
The newest member of the Special Operations Squad froze. Did she tell people? It would seem like she was rubbing it in everyone else’s faces. But they’d all find out eventually, right? Still, there was still time for her to tell them. It didn’t have to come on the heels of everyone else’s tears. “It was fine. He just chewed me out a bit for taking risky moves.”
“Yeah, well you got the best of it then. Mandel got chewed out for a full ten minutes about writing the date on his documents incorrectly.”
“Oh god.”
“Yeah, well, I’m going to see if Rose is okay,” Zelma said, brushing past her. As she continued onto her room, she thought about her interactions with Captain Levi. Nothing about him seemed like he’d do that to a person. When she first started, she screwed up about ten pages of reports but rather than scream at her, he had spent the whole night helping her fix them.
“What’s this?” a deep voice rang through the nearly empty office. Her head snapped up towards the door, finding easily the most feared man in all of the Survey Corps… scarier than Commander Erwin Smith.
“Uh… hello, sir,” she stuttered out as she tried to covertly cover up the paperwork she had messed up and was trying to redo.
He said nothing as he approached her desk. Before even looking at her piles of paper, he lit the candle on her desk, making her realize just how late it was and how dark it had gotten. He then observed her papers, easily identifying what she tried to cover up. Wordlessly, he pulled up a chair to sit on the side of her desk, grabbing half of her pile. She looked at him perplexed until he finally explained. “I’ll do this half so we finish quicker.”
“Oh… uh… thank you, sir. I appreciate it.”
“No problem,” he replied, the phrase seeming too casual for Humanity’s Strongest Soldier. “I’ve made these mistakes before.” No he hadn’t. But he wanted to make her feel better.
~
A week later, the Levi Squad was heading out on a mission to reclaim the Scout Regiment’s old headquarters outside Wall Rose. This would be her first time fighting since her cadet class had attempted to retake Shiganshina.
“You ready, brat?” a deep voice asked, coming up behind her. She glanced over her shoulder, finding Captain Levi approaching her.
“Yes, sir,” she agreed, standing up straight and turning to face him.
The Captain stopped in front of her, taking a moment to observe her. A slight frown adorned his face as he stepped closer. “May I?” he asked, gesturing to the straps wrapped around her thighs. Unable to find her voice, she just nodded. He knelt down, grabbing the strap wrapped around her left leg first. He tugged at it, finding that it was a bit too loose, as well as throwing the wearer off balance. She fell forward, catching herself on Levi’s shoulder. She immediately moved to steady herself but another tug seemed to bring her closer.
Levi kept his face straight as he moved on to her other leg. He enjoyed the closeness of her. Ever since that night they spent filling out her paperwork, just reveling in each other’s company, he couldn’t get her out of his mind. He had justified it in his mind as simply admiring her dedication, enabling him to invite her onto his team. And he couldn’t just let his newest member slip out of her ODM gear, right?
Moving on from the straps around her thighs, his hands wandered up to her waist. He was still kneeling before her but now that he was no longer pulling her leg forward, she stood on her own. He kind of missed her gentle yet firm grip on his shoulder. Nevertheless, he tugged at the straps around her waist, finding them perfectly snug. Satisfied, he finally stood, pulling her attention up with him. “You’re all set.”
“Th-thank you, sir,” she said, slight nervousness creeping into her voice. He just gave her a soft smile before heading over to his own horse.
~~
It had been a long two days. The Special Operations Squad had fought long and hard to clear and secure the Survey Corps’ headquarters but they did it without any casualties. Now, locked safely within the walls of the old castle, they celebrated.
“Oh my god, did you see Ral take down that five meter?” Bozado practically shouted in excitement. “Hell, she tripped the thing and still cut it’s nape.” Everyone cheered on Petra as she blushed.
“Did you see the rookie, here?” Jinn caught everyone’s attention as he nudged her shoulder. She blushed as well as everyone looked at her. “How was your first solo kill?”
She smiled, trying to hide her embarrassment. “Not enough,” she declared, eliciting a cheer from everyone. Across the table she caught Levi’s eye, giving her a smirk and nod of approval, the biggest reaction anyone had gotten out of him.
After a while of celebrating, everyone else was drunk with the exception of her and Levi. Needing a moment of quiet, she slipped out of the room, everyone else too drunk to notice. She made her way to the upper floors until she found a balcony in what was probably the commander’s room. Stepping outside, she just took a moment to breathe in the cool air. Fortunately all the titans had dissolved into nothingness, leaving the view almost beautiful. The only damper was the damage the titans had created.
“Mind if I join?” a low voice came from behind her.
Startled, she jumped, relieved when she saw that it was only Levi. “Oh, you scared me, Captain.”
“Did I?” he said, coming to stand next to her. “Didn’t take you as one to be scared easily. You did just stare down the jaws of a titan today.”
She shrugged, the blush returning to her cheeks. “Yeah well, I’d sooner face a titan than the infamous Captain Levi.”
He chuckled. “You did good,” he praised.
“Thank you, sir. Thanks for inviting me.”
“Your record speaks for itself,” he dismissed.
Turning to face the outside world again, a sudden breeze caught her, sending a chill down her spine. Noticing her movement, Levi unclasped the cloak from around his shoulders before placing it around his newest soldier. “Oh thank you sir but-” He waved his hand, dismissing her before going back to looking over the castle’s grounds, sipping on his tea. She opened and closed her mouth a few times, trying to find the words. Clenching her jaw, she pondered all of his actions. Taking a deep swig of the whiskey Jinn had brought, she worked up the courage to speak. “Why do you treat me so well?”
Levi’s blood went cold. It was the question he dreaded and the opening he craved but still never hoped would come. Choosing to deflect, he spoke casually. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I treat everyone the same.”
“Sir, with all due respect, no you don’t,” she countered sheepishly. “When others in my class screwed up they were punished, you helped me. You invited me to your squad even though I wasn’t first in my cadet class. You don’t even really interact socially with your squad but you’re out here with me.”
Levi sighed, considering his next words. She had him pinned on this. “You… I…” he took a breath. “You impress me,” was all he said. “More than anyone ever has.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” she pressed further.
Levi groaned internally as she kept pushing. Unable to say the words, he decided to show her. Resting his cup on the thick railing of the balcony, he stepped right next to her, grasping her face softly. Her doe like eyes stared up at him innocently until they fluttered closed as Levi leant down, connecting their lips. She parted her lips, granting him access to her mouth, which he took eagerly. His hands fell to her hips, pulling her in eagerly which she took as an invitation to reach for his coat. He helped her shed the clothing before he worked to unbutton his own shirt, still kissing her. Once it was off, he returned his hands to her hips, pushing her into the room and onto the bed. In a flurry of lips and clothes, Levi had her naked underneath him. Pausing for a moment, he pulled away just to observe her. “God, you’re so beautiful,” he breathed before returning his lips to hers.
~~
Laying in the bed that had been prepared for him earlier that day, Levi stroked his newest squad-member’s hair. Her bare skin bathed in the moonlight as she slept peacefully on his chest. He couldn’t help but smile into the top of her head, feeling like a giddy teenager. He couldn’t believe he had finally found the girl of his dreams. In the Underground he had had no time for and therefore no consideration of love. He knew he’d have to keep her a well-guarded secret. Sometimes there were bigger threats than titans.
Continuing to enjoy the weight on his chest and the feeling of her soft hair running through his fingers, Levi stared out into the night. He could get used to this. One day they’d have to kill all the titans, right? Then they could get a nice little house out here in the country. Where it could just be the two of them.
Checking the clock that had been wound to the correct time, he could see that the sun would be rising soon. He hadn’t slept at all but that wasn’t out of the ordinary and he didn’t mind. He had more important things to think about than sleep. A small, irrational part of him worried that someone or something would come snatch her from him in the night right as he finally had her. But for the sake of keeping his reputation, he reluctantly slipped out of bed, gently replacing his chest with a pillow so as to disturb her as little as possible.
~
Given that the balcony doors had been left open, the object of Levi’s affection woke with the sun. With a gentle stretch, she soaked the sun in for a moment, inhaling the scent of her commander on the sheets. Despite wanting to lie in bed all day, she’d much rather avoid someone bursting in and asking her why she was in Levi’s bed so she got up reluctantly. Looking for her clothes, which had been shed on the balcony, she found them folded neatly at the foot of the bed. Smiling to herself, she put them on and fixed her hair before heading down to the kitchen.
Upon entering, she found all of her teammates grabbing food from the counter before sitting at the wooden table in the center. They all grumbled good mornings to her as they served themselves and sat. Still standing in the doorway, she saw her captain standing at the stove in an apron. “More pancakes are coming,” he announced.
There was a quiet cheer from the rest of the team as they were already digging through what had already been made. Sitting down, she helped herself to some of the fruit on the table before a plate full of pancakes appeared in front of her. She looked up, finding Levi sitting down beside her at the head of the table with another plate for himself. She just sent him a smile and said a quiet thanks as she dug in.
Meanwhile the rest of the team stared at the pair in shock. Seeing them first, Levi sent them a glare. “What? She hadn’t gotten a plate. Feed yourselves,” he barked before returning his attention to the woman sitting beside him.

Must be his aura….I love him, your honor
It’s meant to be!
Tumblr media
Gravity Pt 12
Optimus x Reader
• Staring at the screen long after Megatron’s little message ends and his fellow Autobots that had seen it start speculating, all he can think of is that he’s not alone. And it’s a relief. Leaving the warmth of you to report for his duties had been difficult. Especially since you’d woken up first and had straddled him. Even deep in recharge, his body responding to those soft hands touching him. Definitely not the worse way to come to alertness and even though he’d hit the washracks, he swears he can still scent you clinging to him. But then it really sinks in. That the Decepticons are taking humans and using them. Because that’s an atrocity that hadn’t even occurred to him.
• Stretching to touch your toes, you idly run through a few stances to limber up because you’re bored out of your mind. As much fun as playing with Optimus is, as soon as he leaves, you’re alone with your thoughts again. Remembering the look on his face before he’s schooled his expression into neutrality. Like a big, lovesick puppy, hurt that sex is all you want. Blowing out a breath as you spin in a slow circle, head tipping back, you know you’d lied to him. But then, you’d lied to yourself to. Saying you don’t want more, when deep down, you do. You’re just afraid to hope, to let down your defenses knowing you can get hurt again if you do. That love is just a pretty lie used to reach a goal.
• Sliding into his seat, he steeples his servos as he listen to the bits of gossip and conversation around him. How many humans are in the Ark at this point? Honestly, he’s not sure anymore. But he does know one thing, he’s probably not the only one who’s gotten attached to their ward. Who’s crossed that particular line. And it’s out there now for all of them, the fact that their species are at least compatible that way. Dropping his head into his hands, he stares at the floor. Because someone’s going to need to have that conversation with the Autobots keeping humans. On the ethics of taking advantage of a much younger species. And how is he supposed to do that when he’s interfacing with you?
• Head lifting when he finally returns, your smile wavers when he just stares at you. “You look like the other kids were bullying you, babe.” Venting he sits on the edge of the berth and then just slumps backwards, hands over his face. Oh. Well this is new, usually he’s so calm and serious. Climbing up his arm and over onto his chassis, you drop to straddle his neck, arms crossed on his chin. “Want me to beat up someone for you?” When his head tips to look at you, you lift an arm to flex your nonexistent muscle for him.
• Your mischievous expression twists through him as he lifts a servo to slide against your spine. “When we- er- interfaced,” he says, ignoring when you cheerfully interject ‘fucked like bunnies.’ “I didn’t pressure you. Right?” Because he can’t imagine what those poor humans captured by the Decepticons are suffering and can’t help but wonder if you’d let him have you out of intimidation or fear.
• “Oh, you are too sweet for words. If anything I seduced you, big guy.” Laughing as he frowns seriously at you, you push up to stand on his neck and drape yourself against his chin, tapping a finger on his bottom lip. “Don’t worry. I promise you didn’t corrupt my innocence.” More likely, you’re corrupting his.
• “I could have,” he says, joking as some of his worry eases and you grin, brows lifting. Expression giving away how much you doubt that. “I can be a bad influence.” His protest just makes you laugh, that warm sound stroking over him. How can this be wrong when you feel so much like home? When he wants to lay beside you and exchange stories. Ask about each other’s day and spend his free time in your arms, listening to you laugh with him. Wants so much more than your body. “The Decepticons are taking humans.” Unable to say to interface with.

Girlfriend Proposal [Tim Bradford Imagine]
Tumblr media
Summary: After a rough shift Tim is happy to see you. He asks you to be his girlfriend.
The night had been a grind for both Tim and Y/N. The kind of shift where every call felt like it was dragging on longer than it should, and by the time they were back at the department, all they wanted was a quiet moment to themselves. They had barely spoken on the radio the entire day, both of them buried in the tasks they were assigned, but as they walked through the doors of the LAPD station, something shifted.
Tim spotted Y/N immediately, her figure standing near the bulletin board, scribbling on a notepad, her tired eyes focused on the details of her report. She didn’t notice him right away, but he couldn’t take his eyes off her. He was exhausted—his mind was foggy, and his body felt like it might give out any second. But seeing her standing there, the way her hair fell softly around her face, the way her posture seemed to shift into something comfortable even after the long shift... it was enough to make his heart skip a beat.
Y/N looked up just as Tim approached, and their gazes met. For a brief moment, the noise of the department, the papers rustling, and the usual chatter faded away. It was just the two of them, standing in the middle of the hectic station, but in that quiet moment, everything felt calm.
“Hey,” she said, her voice soft but genuine. Her tired smile was enough to light up the room.
“Hey,” Tim replied, his lips tugging into the rarest of smiles. It wasn’t the usual gruff Tim that everyone knew—it was something else. A soft smile, an unspoken relief at just being in her presence after such a brutal shift.
Y/N tilted her head, taking in his expression. “Long shift?”
“Yeah,” he said, nodding. “I’m ready to crash.”
Y/N chuckled lightly, the sound soothing to his ears. “Same here. I thought I might fall asleep standing up for a minute there.”
Tim couldn’t help but laugh with her. It felt good to laugh with someone who got it, who understood the weight of the day. For a brief moment, the exhaustion was forgotten, replaced by the simple joy of just being around someone who made everything feel easier.
He studied her for a moment longer, the warmth in his chest growing as he realized how much he actually enjoyed these moments with her—how much he had come to care about her without even realizing it.
Y/N was still smiling at him, her eyes warm. “So, what now?” she asked, trying to lighten the mood even further.
Tim glanced around the department, and then back to her. There was something in the way she was looking at him, something that made his heart race just a little faster. He knew they’d always been a team, partners in the field, but this… this was different.
“Actually,” Tim started, his voice lower now, quieter, “there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, a curious smile on her face. “What’s that?”
Tim took a step closer, his gaze steady but his heart suddenly beating faster. The usual walls he put up were crumbling, and he found himself leaning into the feeling of being this close to her, of knowing that maybe, just maybe, she felt the same way.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice soft but serious, “I know we’ve been through a lot together, but I think we work. You and me. Not just as partners, but… more. I’d like you to be more than that. Will you be my girlfriend?”
For a moment, Y/N was quiet. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized the gravity of his words. Tim Bradford, the gruff, no-nonsense cop, was standing here asking her to be with him in a way that went beyond the job. He was asking her to be his.
Her smile grew wide, almost instinctively, as she looked up at him, her heart swelling. “I’d love to,” she replied softly, her voice warm and genuine.
Tim’s shoulders relaxed as a grin broke out on his face, the weight he hadn’t realized he was carrying suddenly lifting. He stepped a little closer, his hand reaching for hers.
“Good,” he said, his voice a little rough but full of affection. “Because I think you’re pretty damn amazing, Y/N.”
Her laughter filled the air as she pulled him in for a hug, and Tim wrapped his arms around her, feeling the exhaustion melt away in the comfort of her embrace. They stood there, in the middle of the department, holding onto each other for just a moment longer, knowing that this was only the beginning of something new. Something real.

Last minute fluffy idea! I was wondering if you could do it though.
It's about a pregnant gn reader with the characters: Aventurine, Sampo, Childe, Scar and Kaeya, the reader every time they feel a kick in their belly they get excited every time their babies do that even though because of that they will grab their partner by the shoulder and drag them to their lap so they can feel the baby's kicks.
I vaguely remember you mentioning that the character limit was 5… If it's not feel free to remove Kaeya, Take all the time you want with this request!

The lavish office was quiet, save for the rhythmic ticking of a clock and the occasional shuffle of papers as Aventurine leaned back in his chair, reviewing the latest IPC financial reports. His glasses rested on the bridge of his nose, and his signature smirk played on his lips as he made quick mental calculations.
Your excitement broke the stillness like a burst of sunlight through storm clouds. "Kakavasha!" you exclaimed, your hand immediately flying to your belly as you felt a firm, fluttering kick. Without a second thought, you marched over, grabbed his shoulder, and yanked him into your lap.
"What—? Darling!" Aventurine laughed, his voice tinged with surprise, his hands flailing slightly as he tried to balance himself. "You can’t just drag me around like this! What if I wrinkle my coat?"
You silenced him by placing his palm on your belly, a grin spreading across your face. "Feel that?" you whispered, your voice brimming with joy.
His initial exasperation melted away as he felt the soft but determined kick against his hand. For a moment, Aventurine’s mask slipped, and his eyes softened, filling with awe. He traced small, slow circles over your stomach with his fingers, his usually animated demeanor giving way to something tender and unguarded.
"Well," he murmured, his lips twitching into a genuine smile. "Looks like our little gambler is practicing their first big moves. No doubt they’ve inherited my knack for high-stakes drama."
You laughed, leaning your forehead against his. "And your charm, too, if this enthusiasm is any sign."
For once, Aventurine didn’t respond with a witty retort. Instead, he pressed a soft kiss to your temple and whispered, "I hope they inherit your heart—because that’s the one thing in this world worth betting everything on."

The market square buzzed with activity, merchants shouting their wares as people jostled about. Sampo, ever the opportunistic businessman, was mid-pitch, waving an ornate trinket in front of a hesitant customer when you grabbed his arm.
"Sampo! Come here!" you called out, your eyes wide with excitement as your free hand clutched your belly.
"Ah, my love," Sampo chuckled nervously, trying to placate the merchant he was talking to. "Can we put a pin in this? Seems my most valuable customer has a request!"
You didn’t wait for his full attention. Instead, you tugged him down to sit beside you on a nearby bench, your hands already guiding his to your belly. "The baby’s kicking again! Feel it!"
Sampo’s grin widened, and he leaned in, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Well, would you look at that! This little rascal’s already got some energy, huh? Just like their old man."
He adjusted his touch, resting his head lightly against your stomach, pretending to listen intently. "Hey, kiddo! Knock once if you’re gonna be a genius like your parent, and twice if you’re gonna be a smooth operator like your dad."
The baby kicked again, and you burst into laughter. "Looks like they’re aiming for a career in making me laugh at you."
"Good choice," Sampo quipped, planting a kiss on your stomach. "Stick with your dad, kid. We’re gonna have so much fun scamming—uh, I mean, making deals together."

The cozy home in Snezhnaya was filled with the crackling warmth of a fire, the scent of freshly baked bread wafting through the air. Childe sat by the hearth, sharpening his blade, his sharp features softened by the flickering light.
You waddled into the room, one hand supporting your back and the other on your belly. The sudden kick made you gasp, and without a word, you marched over to him.
"Ajax!" you called, tugging him off his seat and onto the couch beside you. He blinked in surprise as you guided his hand to your stomach.
"The baby’s kicking again," you said, your voice tinged with excitement.
Childe’s eyes lit up, and his smile stretched wide as he felt the rhythmic nudges against his palm. "That’s my little warrior," he said proudly, his voice softening. "Already training for their first fight, huh?"
You chuckled, leaning into his shoulder. "Or they’re just excited to meet you."
Childe’s expression grew serious for a moment, and he tilted his head to press a gentle kiss against your temple. "I want them to know I’ll always protect them," he murmured, his voice steady and full of resolve. "No matter what."
"And me?" you teased, looking up at him.
He grinned, his playful nature returning. "You? You’re stuck with me for life."
Tumblr media
The dimly lit chamber was filled with an eerie stillness, the shadows on the walls flickering as the candlelight danced. Scar stood by the window, his eyes staring into the distance, lost in thought.
"Scar!" you called, your voice breaking through the quiet.
He turned sharply, his expression shifting from brooding to mild curiosity as you walked over. "Yes, my lamb?" he asked, a playful yet sinister lilt to his tone.
Before he could say more, you pulled him down onto the plush chair beside you, grabbing his hand and pressing it to your belly. "The baby’s kicking!"
Scar’s dramatic smile faltered for a moment, replaced by a rare look of genuine surprise. The first kick startled him, and he chuckled softly, his eyes narrowing in amusement. "Ah, a rebel already," he murmured, his voice dripping with pride.
You rolled your eyes, though your smile didn’t waver. "I think they just want attention, like their father."
Scar’s grin widened, and he leaned closer, his fingers tracing lazy circles over your stomach. "Let them demand all they want," he said, his tone almost reverent. "A creature born of chaos deserves to make its presence known."
For a fleeting moment, Scar’s usual theatrical flair faded, and he pressed a lingering kiss to your forehead. "And they will never lack for love, my lamb. Of that, I swear."

Kinktober day 17
John Gillman/Homelander + cock warming
Tumblr media
Hes so cute in this gif, like omg...
Readers a silverfox, aka an older hot man, cuz you can’t tell me Homelander wouldn’t climb older men who gave him positive attention.
Kinktober 2023 masterlist
The noise of typing on a keyboard could be heard throughout your office as you worked, the sleeves of your button-up rolled up to your elbows, your greying hair ruffled from its usually gelled hairstyle. You had been working nonstop for days at this point, only taking breaks for short naps or to refill your coffee cup when Ashley or other assistants weren’t around to do it for you.
You had worked for Vought for a long time, as long as Stan Edgar, though you hadn’t felt the need to be the CEO as you weren’t cruel enough for that role. So, you easily gave it up for Stan and took a lower, but still very high rank in the company. Your role involved many things, but one of them happened to be dealing with Homelander, or John as you called him behind doors, as he had always been drawn to you from day one.
You had met him for the first time when he started as Homelander, as you weren’t too involved with the whole creation of supes, as you liked having plausible deniability. Of course, you knew it happened and how it worked, you weren’t on even foot with Stan Edgar for so long and not know, but really, he seemed to gain more joy from it than you, so you let him keep it.
But back to the present, you leaned back into your seat with a sigh, running a hand over your face and massaging at the ugly wrinkle that always appeared on your face as you worked. A small moan could be heard between your legs as you changed your position, the person between them shuffling forwards to take you fully between his lips once again.
Looking down, your eyes met the sight of your sweet boy, Homelander, his eyelashes resting beautifully against his cheekbones as he held you between his lips. As you ran your hand through his tussled hair, he seemed to sigh and become even more relaxed, his tongue limp against the bottom side of your soft length.
He was so well behaved, always aching for your attention and praise. When Homelander first started out he had been softer and more anxious, but as time passed he had become quite egotistical and bratty, but you were always able to keep him on a tight leash when it was just the two of you, as he seemed to ache so deeply for your attention.
His eyes fluttered open as you brushed your thumb over his cheek, his pupils blown so wide they almost swallowed up the blue in his eyes. He looked almost drunk as he let his head fall to rest against your thigh, his mouth still securely wrapped around you. As if testing his luck, John gave a soft almost hesitant suck as he looked up at you, his glazed expression sharpening enough to see if you had any negative reaction to his behaviour.
Normally you’d have scolded him for acting against your orders, as you had told him to just warm you as you worked, but you were technically taking a break from your reports, and he had behaved so well. “It’s okay baby” you mumbled, caressing the side of his head before you ran it through his hair in an almost affectionate move.
You could visibly see him shudder as you finally allowed him to move, his head slowly bopping up and down as John finally allowed himself to start to suck and swallow around you, rubbing his tongue against the underside of your cock as he pulled his head up, swirling it around the tip, before swallowing it all the way down again.
“Such a good boy” you praise in your tired voice, watching as he seemed to twitch and shiver at your praise and affection, your touch only seeming to fuel him further as he moved his head faster, his hands coming up to grip your thighs to give him more leverage to swallow you down to the root. His throat fluttered around you, and you could see tears well up in his eyes as he gave a soft gag, though it didn’t seem to be slowing him down.
Even as the most powerful member of the Seven, John still found his gag reflex acting up every now and then as he sloppily moved through the motions, tiny huffs and whines leaving him like a pup begging for love and attention.
You felt your head drop back against the seat as you could feel your limit approaching, you weren’t as young as you used to be, and you knew it would be your only orgasm of the night. Years ago, you might have been able to get hard multiple times during one night, but age seemed to do that to a person, not that John seemed to mind at all, in reality he only seemed to become more drawn to you the older you got. When you had started commenting about colouring your hair because of the grey appearing in it, he had almost burst into tears, so you kept it.
John let out a louder sloppier moan as you spilled against the back of his throat and against his hungry tongue, letting him savour the taste for as long as he wanted. After a while you had to softly push his head back though, patting his shoulder to get him up and into your lap, as your back had started complaining about lifting him and carrying him around the past few years.
John let out a satisfied sigh as he cuddled against you, pressing his face into your neck and nuzzling against you like an affectionate cat, almost purring as you rubbed his back and muttered half formed words of praise and affection. You would let him float in your arms for a while you decided as you rolled your chair back towards your desk, at least until your legs lost circulation from his weight on top of you. In the meantime you could start working on tomorrows paperwork.

𝓭𝓲𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓪 𝓼𝓶𝓲𝓵𝓮
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: yeosang x reader x seonghwa au: werewolf | non idol | genre: angst word count: 3.8 k synopsis: everyone thought you had it easy, the alpha's daughter, bound to be mated to another alpha. If only they knew your mate was with another. warning(s): - merry christmas eve everyone ~
Tumblr media
" i'm so sorry yn - but we can't. I mean - Harin is pregnant,"
Yeosang's words echoed in your mind, haunting you in quiet moments when the world slowed down. Harin is pregnant. The phrase carried weight, crushing the hope you'd once held for a future with him. You had poured your soul into that bond, only for it to splinter in an instant.
Even when he searched for you—his scent lingering in the air like a bittersweet memory—you kept your distance. He didn't deserve to see the pain he had caused reflected in your eyes.
Now, as you prepare to take over your father's role in the pack, the shift in your focus feels like salvation. The burden of leadership is heavy, but it keeps your mind from straying to the ache in your chest. Your pack needs you strong and unwavering, not caught in the pull of a love that could never be.
Gratefulness fills you as you pour yourself into your duties. The training sessions, council meetings, and scouting runs leave little room for sorrow. Each decision you make for the pack reinforces your resolve. They are your family, your responsibility, and the anchor you desperately need.
You sat at your desk, the stack of paperwork before you doing little to ease the weight on your shoulders. The reports from neighboring territories, requests for resources, and the endless lists of pack concerns blurred together, scattering your thoughts like leaves in the wind. You pressed a hand to your temple, closing your eyes briefly to gather yourself.
The sudden knock at the door made you jolt, a soft gasp escaping before you could stop it. Straightening your posture, you called out, "Come in!"
The door creaked open, and the familiar scent hit you before you even turned to look. Your wolf stirred instantly, its excitement thrumming through your veins as your beta stepped into the room.
"Beta Seonghwa," you greeted, masking the small smile tugging at your lips. The title felt formal, but it was necessary with how you needed to maintain composure, especially in moments like this. Your wolf, however, had no such qualms, howling with unrestrained joy at the presence of one of your closest confidants.
Seonghwa’s sharp eyes scanned the room briefly before they settled on you. He looked as calm and composed as always, but the slight quirk of his lips gave him away. "You look like you’ve been drowning in paperwork again."
You rolled your eyes, leaning back in your chair. "Thats because I am. Do you know how many pack disputes I’ve had to settle this week? And don’t get me started on the border patrol reports."
Seonghwa chuckled, the sound light and comforting. "It comes with the territory, Alpha. But maybe you should take a break. Even the strongest wolves need to catch their breath."
The teasing glint in his eyes made your wolf perk up even more, and for a fleeting moment, the stress seemed to ease.
"Don’t tempt me," you said with a soft laugh.
Seonghwa’s gaze softened, his presence steady and grounding in a way that reminded you why he was your beta. He moved closer, placing a small stack of files on your desk. "I thought I’d take some of the load off your plate. Patrol reports and council updates—sorted and summarized. No need to thank me," he said with a sly smile.
Your wolf rumbled with approval, tail practically wagging in your mind at his attentiveness. You leaned back in your chair, crossing your arms as you gave him an amused look. "Is this your way of bribing me into taking a break?"
"Bribing? No," Seonghwa replied, feigning innocence. "Strategic delegation, maybe. I know you won’t rest unless someone gives you a reason to."
You shook your head, a chuckle slipping past your lips. "You know me too well."
"I’d like to think so," he said softly, the humor in his expression dimming just enough to let something more genuine shine through. "You carry a lot, Alpha. More than anyone realizes. Letting someone shoulder a bit of it doesn’t make you weak."
His words struck a chord, and for a moment, you allowed yourself to let the weight of his sentiment settle. It wasn’t often someone reminded you that strength didn’t always mean going it alone.
"Thanks, Seonghwa," you murmured, your voice quieter now. "Really."
Seonghwa hummed softly, his eyes still fixed on you. "Y/N..."
The way he spoke your name made something in you falter. Even though you were the Alpha, the authority in his tone sent a ripple of unease through you, your wolf pacing anxiously within.
You gulped, straightening your posture as if to reassert control. "You're not here to help, are you?"
He shook his head, his expression unreadable, as his fingers sifted through the pile of files in his hand. He lingered on one, pulling it free and placing it on your desk with a deliberate motion.
"I thought it’d be better to tell you in person," he said, his voice calm but carrying an edge that made your wolf’s ears perk.
Your eyes dropped to the folder, the pack emblem embossed on the cover. Slowly, you reached for it, but Seonghwa’s voice stopped you.
"Before you open it," he said, meeting your gaze, "I need you to promise me something."
Your brow furrowed, your instincts immediately on high alert. "What is it?"
"Don’t act on impulse." His voice was firm now, his beta tone fully taking over.
You clicked your tongue in irritation. "Tsk, I would not—"
Seonghwa’s sharp, knowing look stopped you mid-sentence. He raised an eyebrow, and you felt your resolve falter. Letting out a sigh, you leaned back in your chair, pinching the bridge of your nose.
"Fine," you muttered. "What is it?"
Seonghwa hesitated for a moment, as though weighing his next words carefully. Then he placed the folder fully in front of you, his expression unreadable. "It’s Yeosang," he said, his voice even but tinged with something you couldn’t quite place.
Your heart skipped a beat, but you managed to keep your face neutral, though your wolf stirred restlessly. "What about him?"
Seonghwa’s jaw tightened before he continued. "He’s requested a pack transfer."
The words hit you like a slap, the air rushing from your lungs as though you’d been struck. Your wolf stilled for a moment, stunned, before growling low in your chest, a mix of confusion and anger.
"A transfer," you repeated flatly, the word tasting foreign on your tongue.
Seonghwa nodded, his gaze steady on you. "He submitted the request through the southern pack’s Alpha. It came in this morning."
You sat there in stunned silence, your mind racing. After everything—after the heartbreak, the silence, the distance—Yeosang wanted to leave the pack entirely?
"Did he give a reason?" you finally asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
Seonghwa hesitated, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his face. "He didn’t include much detail, but... he said it was to 'start fresh.' To sever old ties."
Your wolf growled again, louder this time, the sound reverberating in your chest. "Sever old ties," you repeated, your voice hardening. "Is that what we are to him now? Just... ties to be severed?"
Seonghwa didn’t respond immediately, letting you process the storm brewing inside you. He finally said, "Y/N, you need to think this through. If you deny the transfer, it could escalate tensions. But if you approve it..."
You stared at him, the unspoken weight of his words hanging between you. If you approved it, you’d be letting him go—for good. You grabbed the file, reading the transfers notes before you reached for your pen.
You grabbed the file, your hands steady despite the turmoil swirling in your chest. The transfer notes were brief, devoid of the warmth or sincerity you once knew from him. Your eyes lingered on the words "to start fresh" before you reached for your pen.
"Y/N—" Seonghwa’s voice broke the silence, firm yet laced with concern.
You didn’t look up, the tip of the pen hovering over the signature line. "I know what I’m doing," you said, your tone sharper than intended.
Seonghwa stepped closer, his presence grounding, though you felt his hesitation. "Do you?" he asked quietly, his words careful but probing.
You forced a smile, though it felt brittle even to you. "He’s moved on, Seonghwa. And so have I." The words hung in the air, sounding hollow in the stillness of the room.
Your wolf stirred uncomfortably, a faint whine echoing in your mind, but you ignored it, pushing aside the ache clawing at your chest. You signed your name with a flourish, sealing the decision.
"There," you said, setting the pen down with finality. "It’s done."
Seonghwa didn’t respond immediately, his gaze heavy as it lingered on you. You could feel his unspoken words, the questions he wanted to ask but wouldn’t dare voice. Finally, he nodded, though the tension in his shoulders remained.
"Very well," he said, his voice quieter now. "I’ll ensure the transfer is processed."
You nodded curtly, not trusting yourself to say anything more.
As Seonghwa reached for the file, his fingers brushed yours briefly, and the contact sent a jolt through you. He paused, his dark eyes searching yours. "Y/N," he said softly, "letting go doesn’t mean you have to carry it alone."
You pulled your hand back, crossing your arms as a shield. "I’m fine, Seonghwa," you replied, though the crack in your voice betrayed you.
He studied you for a moment longer before stepping back. "I’ll leave you to it, then," he said, his tone neutral but his expression far from indifferent.
When the door closed behind him, the silence returned, louder than ever. You leaned back in your chair, staring at the folder now absent from your desk, as if its removal had left an invisible mark.
You leaned back in your chair, head tilting toward the ceiling as you tried to hold it together. But the dam inside you had already begun to crack. Tears welled in your eyes, slipping down your cheeks before you could stop them.
You squeezed your eyes shut, as if that could block out the pain, but it only made it worse. Images of him flashed behind your eyelids: the way he used to smile at you, his laughter filling the air, the warmth of his presence that once felt like home.
Your breathing hitched, uneven and shallow as you fought to suppress the sobs building in your chest. "Get it together," you whispered to yourself, though your voice trembled, breaking apart like a fragile thread.
But it was no use. The weight of everything—the transfer, his words, the memories—crushed you all at once. A broken sob escaped your lips, and then another, until you were crying uncontrollably.
You buried your face in your hands, your shoulders shaking with the force of your grief. The wolf within you howled, mourning a bond that had been severed beyond repair.
~
You clasped hands with your old pack member, offering her a warm smile despite the lingering heaviness in your chest. "Congratulations," you said sincerely, your voice steady. "Finding your mate is a blessing, and I couldn’t be happier for you."
Her cheeks flushed as she smiled back, her new mate standing proudly by her side. "Thank you, Alpha," she replied, her voice filled with gratitude. "I’ll miss being part of this pack, but I know this is where I’m meant to be."
You nodded, squeezing her hand gently before letting go. "You’ll always have a home here, no matter what."
The words felt familiar, almost rehearsed—you’d said them before to others leaving the pack for similar reasons. But this time, they carried an odd weight, one that made your wolf stir uneasily.
As the couple turned to leave, Seonghwa’s presence behind you became more apparent, his quiet support a constant. His scent, steady and grounding, gave you something to anchor yourself to as you watched them go.
His scent, steady and grounding, gave you something to anchor yourself to as you watched them go.
"Ah, Alpha Y/N. Beta Seonghwa."
The voice froze you in place. Your wolf tensed, letting out a soft, mournful whine as your body stiffened. Slowly, you turned around, your breath catching when your gaze landed on him.
Yeosang.
And beside him, his mate. Her hand rested lightly on his arm, her smile polite but distant. In her other arm, she cradled a small child—a toddler, their bright eyes and soft features a perfect blend of the two standing before you.
Your wolf howled in agony, clawing at your chest, but you held your composure, every ounce of your strength poured into maintaining your Alpha façade.
"Yeosang," you greeted, your voice calm and even, though it felt like shards of glass cutting through your throat. Your eyes flickered briefly to his mate and the child, then back to him.
"Sad to see you go, as well as your family," you said, the words carrying a bittersweet weight that you disguised beneath a professional tone.
Yeosang stiffened slightly, his jaw tightening at your choice of words. His mate offered a polite smile, though the subtle tension in her shoulders didn’t go unnoticed. The child in her arms squirmed again, letting out a soft babble that made your wolf whimper.
"Thank you," Yeosang replied, his voice formal yet cautious, as if walking a tightrope. "It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one for us."
For us. The words echoed in your mind, cutting deeper than you anticipated. You swallowed the lump in your throat, keeping your expression neutral as your wolf clawed at your resolve, begging to lash out or flee.
"I hope your new pack welcomes you warmly," you said, folding your hands behind your back to keep them from trembling. "And that you find everything you’re looking for."
There was a beat of silence, heavy and awkward, before Yeosang’s mate stepped forward slightly. "The Alpha has been gracious," she said, her tone smooth but firm. "We’re grateful for your blessing."
You nodded, your eyes briefly meeting hers. "It’s what’s best for everyone." The words felt hollow, but you forced them out anyway.
Seonghwa, sensing the tension, shifted slightly closer to you, his steady presence a shield. His sharp eyes assessed the situation, his body language relaxed yet ready, as though anticipating the need to step in.
"You’re always welcome on pack grounds," you said, your voice steady but devoid of warmth. The words came easily, like a practiced response, but they felt foreign coming out of your mouth.
As Yeosang stood there, the faintest flicker of something like regret flashed in his eyes, but before he could say anything more, Harin leaned in close, whispering something into his ear.
You felt a tightening in your chest as her voice, soft and intimate, broke the fragile tension. The sound was enough to make your wolf whine quietly, a mix of jealousy and pain stirring deep inside.
Yeosang stiffened slightly, his gaze darting toward his mate. She gave him a look, something almost apologetic but resolute, before slowly stepping away. Yeosang remained behind, his face etched with emotion, and you could feel the weight of the unsaid words hanging in the air between you.
"Y/N, look, I’m sorry," Yeosang said, his voice low, hesitant. He took a step forward, though he didn’t quite close the distance between you.
The rawness in his voice caught you off guard, and for a moment, it felt as though everything was slipping out of your control again. You clenched your fists at your sides, refusing to let the flood of emotions overpower you.
"I didn’t mean for it to end like this," Yeosang continued, his eyes searching yours as if hoping to find some understanding. "I never wanted to hurt you, not really."
You swallowed hard, the words getting stuck in your throat. You knew he was trying to explain, but it didn’t make the reality any easier. It didn’t undo the decision he made, the bond that had unraveled between you two.
"You don’t have to explain," you said, your voice soft but firm, a little colder now. "You’ve made your choice, Yeosang. And so have I."
His face fell, the guilt clearly visible as he reached out, his hand hovering in the air like he was unsure whether to close the distance. The hurt in his eyes matched the ache in your chest, but you couldn’t allow yourself to falter.
"You’ve moved on," you continued, the words tasting like ash in your mouth, but they had to be said. "And so have I. It’s done."
Yeosang looked at you, his brow furrowing in confusion. "You have?"
You nodded, your gaze unwavering, though the rawness in your chest threatened to spill over. "I have. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt, but seriously, I meant what I said, Yeosang. You and your family will always be welcome back whenever."
The words felt like a double-edged sword, cutting deep but necessary, a way to acknowledge the reality of the situation without fully breaking down.
Yeosang’s confusion shifted into something else—perhaps disbelief, perhaps regret—but whatever it was, it made your heart tighten. He seemed to want to say something more, but the silence stretched between you two, heavy and thick.
"You’ve moved on so easily, Y/N?" His voice trembled slightly, and for a brief moment, he looked like the man you once knew. The one who used to be everything to you.
You scoffed, shaking your head, the bitterness rising in your chest. "I am not doing this with you, Kang," you snapped, the weight of his words pushing you to the edge. The last thing you wanted was to revisit old wounds you’d worked so hard to bury. "Seonghwa, please."
Seonghwa, ever observant, immediately stepped forward, his presence like a shield between you and Yeosang. "That’s enough, Yeosang," he said firmly, his voice calm but authoritative, knowing just how to keep the peace without allowing anyone to cross the line. "You’ve said your piece. Y/N has made it clear."
Yeosang seemed to hesitate, his eyes flickering from Seonghwa to you, a mixture of pain and frustration clouding his features. That’s when Yeosang noticed the marking on your neck, and then Seonghwa’s. His gaze hardened, his anger flaring as the realization hit him.
"You fucking—" Yeosang’s words caught in his throat, his voice trembling with a mix of disbelief and fury. His eyes locked on the marks, the ones that now tied you and Seonghwa together in a way that couldn’t be undone.
Seonghwa’s reaction was immediate, the growl low and threatening, a deep rumble that vibrated in the air between you and Yeosang. The ferocity in Seonghwa’s voice cut through the tension like a knife, his protective instinct flaring to life. "Don’t," he warned, his tone sharp as his eyes narrowed on Yeosang.
You could feel Seonghwa’s presence behind you, a solid wall of strength that shielded you from Yeosang’s volatile emotions. Your wolf stirred, a growl of its own rising in your chest, mirroring the protectiveness you felt.
Yeosang stepped forward, fists clenched at his sides, as if trying to decide whether to confront Seonghwa or say something else. "This is what it’s come to?" he spat, his eyes flashing with raw emotion. "You’ve marked her? After everything?"
You turned to face him, your expression hardening. "You have no right to question me, Yeosang," you said coldly, your voice cutting through the tension. "You made your choices. This is mine."
The words hung in the air, heavy and final. Yeosang seemed to recoil at your tone, the anger fading just slightly, replaced by something deeper—regret, perhaps, or pain. But it was too late for that now.
Seonghwa stepped closer, his hand still firmly placed on your shoulder as he positioned himself between you and Yeosang. "We’re not doing this," he said firmly, his voice unwavering. "You don’t get to come here and question our bond. It’s done."
Yeosang’s chest rose and fell with a deep breath, his emotions swirling beneath the surface, but he didn’t push further. Instead, he ran a hand through his hair, frustration evident in the tension of his posture. "I never thought it would end like this," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
You looked at him one last time, the pain of the past bleeding into the present. "It’s over, Yeosang. You’ve chosen your path, and I’ve chosen mine."
The finality in your voice settled the matter. Yeosang’s lips parted, as if he wanted to say more, but nothing came out. With a last glance at you and Seonghwa, he finally turned and walked away, his family in tow.
As they disappeared from view, the silence between you and Seonghwa felt different—heavier, but somehow also more secure.
"You didn’t have to say all that," Seonghwa said quietly, his hand giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "But I understand why you did."
You exhaled slowly, your chest still tight, but you didn’t break down. You couldn’t. Not now. "I meant it," you said softly, your voice quiet but firm, as though you were trying to convince yourself as much as anyone else.
Turning to Seonghwa, you couldn’t help it. You shoved your face into his chest, seeking the comfort and grounding you desperately needed. The softness of his shirt against your skin was a small but welcomed relief. As you inhaled his scent, the familiar warmth and steady presence of him filled your senses, your wolf purring in contentment as it finally began to ease.
Seonghwa’s arms wrapped around you instantly, holding you close as you pressed into him, your heart slowing with every deep breath. "You don’t have to carry all of this on your own," he murmured, his voice low and soothing, as he gently ran his fingers through your hair.
You didn’t say anything in response, just letting the weight of his words settle in. For a brief moment, you allowed yourself to feel vulnerable, to let go of the defenses you had built up over time. With Seonghwa, you didn’t need to be the Alpha, the leader, or the person who had to hold everything together.
You were allowed to simply be.
His hand stroked your back, the touch gentle but strong, grounding you further in the moment. "I’ve got you," Seonghwa whispered. "Always."
The words were simple, but they were exactly what you needed to hear. They wrapped around your heart like a promise, and for the first time since everything had gone sideways with Yeosang, you let yourself feel that fleeting sense of peace.
Your wolf settled completely, the storm within you quieting as you stayed in Seonghwa’s arms. For now, that was enough.

The house felt different without Jake. His absence echoed through the rooms leaving a void that seemed impossible to fill. As you sat on the couch the silence of the house felt deafening in Jake's absence. Your fingers absentmindedly traced patterns on your swollen belly seeking comfort in the life growing inside you. But despite the reassuring kicks and movements from your unborn child there was an undeniable sense of unease that settled deep within your heart.
Each day without Jake felt like an eternity. The minutes dragging on as you counted down the moments until his return. You tried to distract yourself with mundane tasks, but the worry and anticipation gnawed at your insides like a relentless tide. Jake made sure you weren’t completely alone though. His mom came to stay with you for a few weeks. Your mom popped over as she could as she lived a few hours away. Even friends would come over keeping you busy, and mind occupied when he wasn’t there. But the nights were always hard. Always when you craved his touch and sweet whispers. Six weeks was a long time for him to be away in the middle of your pregnancy, but you knew what you signed up for when you married him a few years ago.
Being accustomed to Jake's dangerous line of work did little to ease your anxiety this time around. If anything, the realization that you were six months pregnant only amplified your fears. Every news report, every phone call filled you with dread. You mind always seemed to imagine the worst-case scenarios playing out. To add insult to injury you couldn’t even call him or write him. They were on a no contact mission. Your least favorite.
You longed for his presence, his reassuring touch, his calming voice. But as the days turned into weeks, the void left by his absence only seemed to grow larger, consuming you with a sense of longing for the man you called your husband.
Perhaps it was just your maternal instinct kicking in, but the fear of the unknown loomed over you like a dark cloud. It cast a shadow over even the brightest moments. You tried to stay strong for yourself and for your unborn child, but deep down the uncertainty gnawed at your heart with every passing moment. Fortunately for you it was coming up on six weeks and thankfully it had been radio silent. That was the best-case scenario for these types of missions.
The familiar sound of the front door opening stirred you from your slumber though you remained in that hazy state between sleep and wakefulness. As you shifted slightly in bed you felt a pair of strong arms enveloping you pulling you into a warm embrace. Startled by the touch your eyes fluttered open. Y you were met with the sight of Jake, his beautiful face illuminated by the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the window.
"Jake?" you murmured, your voice heavy with sleep and confusion.
He smiled over at you with his eyes filled with tenderness. "Hey, sweetheart. It's just me. Go back to sleep love." he reassured you. His voice a soothing melody in the quiet of the night.
You blinked trying to process the sudden appearance of your husband. "You're home early though," you observed, your heart fluttering with a mixture of surprise and joy. You were supposed to pick him up from the base in a few days’ time. This was a wonderful surprise though.
Jake nodded as he pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead. "The mission ended earlier than expected. Everyone was eager to get back home.  We all voted on coming back. I just couldn’t wait to see my beautiful wife." he explained. His voice tinged with relief as he watched you with the utmost love in his eyes.
You melted into his embrace. Feeling the warmth of his body against yours, the familiar scent of his cologne enveloping you like a comforting blanket. Despite the initial shock of being awakened from your sleep there was no place you'd rather be than in Jake's arms. As you nestled closer to him you became acutely aware of the changes in your body since he had left. The baby had grown significantly in the six weeks of his absence. Evidence of the new life growing inside you.
He shifted slightly in bed his hand finding its way to your larger belly now. With a tender touch, he traced gentle circles on your skin, his touch sending shivers down your spine. "The little one has grown a lot," he whispered, his voice filled with wonder and awe as he held you close to him revealing in your heartbeat. It was always a silent comfort he craved and missed so dearly while deployed.
You smiled feeling a surge of affection for the man lying beside you. "Growing big and strong just like his or her daddy," you teased while running a hand through his now shaggy hair. The two of you opted to keep the gender a surprise.
He chuckled softly as he pressed another kiss to your forehead. "I missed you, angel" he murmured. His words a silent promise of his unwavering devotion. And as you lay entwined in each other's arms the worries and uncertainties of the world faded away leaving behind only the overwhelming love and warmth that bound you together.
As the next day wore on, Jake couldn't shake off the feeling of being overwhelmed by your presence. Not that it was your intention. But the sheer intensity of your need for him seemed to permeate the very air around them. You craved him, your every move mirroring his own as if you couldn't bear to let him out of your sight for even a moment.
At first Jake found your clinginess endearing. It was a testament to the depth of your love and longing. A quiet declaration of your desire to be close to him after his long absence. He welcomed your affection. Your constant need for his presence filling a void he hadn't even realized existed.
But as the hours stretched on your constant proximity began to grate on his nerves. Every time he turned around you were there watching him with worried eyes. Your need for him palpable in every touch, every word. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate your affection – far from it. But the intensity of your clinginess seemed to smother him leaving him gasping for air in the suffocating embrace of your love.
Jake's time on the carrier had left him overstimulated. He was constantly surrounded by noise and activity. Now back in the familiar confines of home the silence seemed deafening, yet your presence felt like an onslaught of sensory overload. He longed for solitude, for a moment of peace to collect his thoughts and decompress after the chaos of his mission.
Your concern for him only heightened the pressure he felt. The weight of your worry pressing down on him. He knew you meant well, that your clinginess was a manifestation of your love and longing for him. But right now, he just needed space. With every touch, every word, he felt the walls closing in around him. The need for air becoming more desperate with each passing moment. He tried to push down the rising tide of frustration. To swallow the bitter taste of guilt that lingered on his tongue. But it was a losing battle.
As he retreated into himself seeking solace in the quiet recesses of his mind, he couldn't help but feel a pang of remorse at the hurt he knew his words would cause you. But in that moment he couldn't bear to think about anything except the overwhelming need to be alone. To find respite from the constant barrage of emotions threatening to engulf him.
No sooner had he settled on the couch trying to catch up on some much-needed rest. He felt your presence hovering nearby. You stood at the edge of the room. Your eyes never leaving him. Your need for his attention a silent plea that echoed in the silence of the house.
"Y/N, can't you find something else to do?" Jake finally asked. Unable to contain his frustration any longer.
Your heart sank at the sharpness of his tone, the hurt evident in your eyes as you took a step back. A tear welled up in the corner of your eye showing him the hurt you felt inside at the words he just spoke.
"I'm so sorry, Jake," you whispered. Your voice trembling with emotion. "I think it's the hormones."
Jake's heart sank at the sound of your voice. The weight of your words hitting him like a ton of bricks. He could see the hurt etched on your face. The vulnerability in your eyes tugging at his heartstrings.
His expression softened at realization of the pain he had caused evident in his eyes. "No, angel, it's not your fault," he murmured. His voice filled with regret. "I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. I was just... overwhelmed."
He reached out to touch your hand, but you pulled away feeling self-conscious over your sudden clinginess to him. With a heavy heart you turned away walking out of the room despite his profuse apologies. Jake watched helplessly as you retreated into yourself. The distance between you growing with each passing moment.
Jake felt a heavy sense of regret weighing on his chest as he watched you retreat away. Despite his apologies he couldn't shake the feeling that he had let you down. That he had failed to provide the comfort and reassurance you needed in that moment of vulnerability. He wanted nothing more than to reach out to you. To wrap you in his arms and soothe away the hurt he had caused, but he knew that he had to give you the space you needed.
As the hours passed Jake found himself pacing the empty rooms of the house. The silence you had grown accustomed to weighing heavily on his shoulders. He tried to focus on the tasks at hand to distract himself from the gnawing sense of unease that lingered in the back of his mind. But no matter how hard he tried he couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that seemed to permeate every corner of the house. Was this how you felt when he was gone?
Meanwhile, you lay curled up on the bed. Your thoughts consumed by the events of the day. Despite your best efforts to push them away the hurtful words and the sharpness of Jake's tone echoed in your mind. You couldn't help but feel self-conscious of your actions, second-guessing every word you had spoken and every tear you had shed. Even when Jake checked in on you with his concern evident in every word and gesture you couldn't bring yourself to face him. Your need for solitude outweighing the comfort of his presence. You were embarrassed. How could you not pick up on the signs? Of course, he needed space. Missions were a drag. You knew that better than anyone.
And so, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the darkness of night descended upon the house you remained cocooned in your own thoughts. The distance between you and Jake stretching on indefinitely.
But as night fell and the quiet of the house enveloped them, Jake couldn't bear it any longer. He found you in the bedroom where you’d been all day, curled up on the bed. Your tears staining the pillow beneath your head. Without a word he crossed the room and pulled you into his arms holding you close as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
As Jake held you in his embrace he felt the tension in your body slowly begin to melt away, replaced by a sense of warmth and comfort that washed over him like a gentle tide. He knew that you were pretending to be asleep, your breathing steady and even, but he also knew you too well to be fooled by the facade.
"I know you're awake, angel," he murmured, his voice a soft whisper in the darkness of the room.
You remained silent. Your eyes closed as you listened to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. The warmth of his body enveloping you like a protective shield. Despite the hurt and the distance that had grown between you, you couldn't deny the overwhelming sense of relief that flooded through you at his touch. The knowledge that he was there by your side, ready to mend the cracks in your fragile heart.
"I'm so sorry, angel," Jake whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "I never should have snapped at you. I shouldn’t have taken that out on you."
You opened your eyes meeting his gaze with a mixture of sadness and longing. "I'm sorry too," you replied. Your voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to be so clingy. I don’t know what’s going on with me." And with that you felt more tears falling.
Jake shook his head. His expression softening as he cupped your face in his hands. "No, baby, you have nothing to apologize for," he insisted, his voice gentle but firm. "I love how much you care, how much you need me. It's what makes us work. I let my own stress get the better of me rather than talking about it with you. I should have leaned on you instead of pushing you away."
As his words washed over you, a sense of relief flooded through you, the weight of guilt lifting from your shoulders. You realized that despite the challenges you faced, the love and understanding between you were stronger than ever before.
Jake's thumb gently brushed away the tears that still lingered on your cheeks. His touch tender and reassuring. Pulling you close, he wrapped his arms around you, holding you as if he never wanted to let go. His hands drifted down to cup your growing belly, whispering sweet nothings to the baby growing inside. The sensation sent your heart into overdrive with a surge of warmth spreading through you at the sight of Jake's adoration for your little one.
And as Jake leaned in to capture your lips in a tender kiss, you felt the steady emotion of love wash over you. The barriers that had kept you apart crumbling away in the face of your shared love and forgiveness.

The Window (Ch. 02)
Tumblr media
Tw: breeding kink, reverse harem gangbang MDNI
This is a repost sorry I’m trying to fix a broken link situation. Just ignore me.
The waiting was the worst part. You tried not to stare at the pregnancy test strip while it was still loading. A watched pot never boils, or whatever that saying was. You scrolled through your phone, you paced back and forth, and you listened to the murmuring voices on the other side of the door, eagerly awaiting the good news.
But, there wouldn’t be any celebrating. Not this month.
You threw the negative strip in the trash and tried to hold it together. You had been flipping through online baby stores, looking at cribs, watching videos about safety, and reading the towering stack of what-to-expect books that Soap’s mom had bought for you (you still hadn’t forgiven him for telling her, but you sent her a sweet thank-you card). And yet… it felt like it was all for nothing.
You imagined what it must be like for those women who got pregnant if a strong wind blew too hard that day, and you tried to fight the pang of jealousy. Then, you thought about your team. The disappointed look on their faces would be so hard to bear. But, you needed to let them know.
The door handle was cold in your hands as you popped it open and left the bathroom. When you looked up at the group, they were all sat, patiently waiting to hear what you’d come to report. It was quiet at first, and then Kyle raised his hands, an eager expression of joy on his face,
“Well?”
By the sudden, pained look in your eyes, he got his answer. In a flash, you were buried in Simon’s chest, wrapped in his huge arms, hearing him whisper,
“It’s alright, love. Next time.”
You felt Price’s palm on the nape of your neck, and Johnny had grabbed your hand. You fought the tears, overwhelmed by their support.
Simon broke his hug and sat down with you. You told them,
“I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I just can’t seem to —”
“No, lass. I willnae sit here and listen to you blame yourself,” Johnny protested.
“Agreed,” Simon nodded, pushing a lock of your hair behind your ear.
Price sighed, and his men looked up at him for guidance. So, he said,
“We’ll just have to double our efforts. We’re not giving up, love. Don’t you worry.”
A warm hand circled around your shoulders from the other side of the sofa, and you saw Kyle’s face light up with mischief,
“I like the sound of that plan.”
And that’s how you ended up in Price’s quarters, surrounded by all of your soldiers, getting pumped full of their thick come.
Gaz was pounding his length into your body like a machine. The wet schlicking noise your pussy was making for him filled the room, mixing with the dark, deep moans from the others as they watched you take his long shaft.
You were laying on the bed, propped up a bit with your head resting on Price’s huge thigh, watching him fist his fat, uncut rod inches from your face, waiting his turn. He was petting your forehead, telling you what a pretty little girl you were and how much he was looking forward to filling you up to your limit.
Ghost sat on the edge of the bed, jerking himself off languidly, lolling his soft tongue across your nipple, sucking it when he wanted to, leaving pink marks on your skin. Meanwhile, Johnny had situated his mouth right over your clit, not really minding Gaz and his pounding, eating you like he was going to starve to death.
You’d lost count of your orgasms, but you thought you were still in the single digits. Simon’s come was already frothing, packed deep inside of you from his earlier spend, coating your walls and Gaz’s shaft as he worked. The wetness made his cock gleam like a shining popsicle, and you wanted to lick him clean.
It was so erotic, you couldn’t help but cry out,
“Mmffuck! Kyle… please. Oh, my fucking God!”
“Good girl,” he smiled, panting, “You ready for more?”
You nodded your head, turning your cheek toward John, looking for his comfort. You laid your hand on the back of Simon’s head and encouraged him to suck a little harder.
John’s warm hand pet your cheek as he looked down at you,
“Here, love. Need something to suck on? C’mon. It’ll make you feel so full, won’t it.”
He pointed his swollen head down toward your lips and let you suckle from the drooling tip, comforting yourself with his flesh, enjoying his musky taste.
You felt Johnny’s mouth begin to suck at your clit’s rigid body, using his smooth tongue to push it back and forth, making Gaz’s every thrust feel like pure electricity. Your body arched into it, and even though your grunting and screaming were muffled by the captain’s cockhead, you came with a swirling, all-encompassing bliss, letting the glittering sensation rush through your veins like a drug.
“Pretty girl,” John held your cheek gently, feeling it swell with his hardness, “You look so beautiful when you come for us.”
“Fuck,” Gaz sighed, “She’s so bloody tight. I can’t… I’m gonna fuckin’ come.”
The whole room watched as he unloaded his pleasure into you, seeing his face melt with joy, looking at how his cock had stretched its way into you, pulsing now with each drop of his thick come.
“Tha’s it. Legs up for us, bonnie girl. Cannae have Gaz’s work go to waste, hm?” Soap grinned, helping you bend your hips up into position. Then, the moment Kyle stumbled back from you, Johnny eagerly took his place.
He wasn’t just hard, he was throbbing. His cockhead was rosy and pink, pulsating with his blood flow, ready and hungry for its hole. Johnny smiled down at you, his chin shiny and dripping from his meal, covered in you from cheek to cheek. He used his fingers to gently push Gaz’s stray load back inside of you and followed it with his cock.
Johnny wasn’t nearly as long as Gaz, but he was curved just right, arched and girthy, perfect for your already-sensitive g-spot. His feral thrusting had you crying out as you pulled your mouth away from Price, turning to face him in shock. His hands were busy, too. Johnny spread your legs apart by your knees and held them aloft, trying to keep all of the wet, creamy gifts you’d been given deep inside you.
In almost no time at all, he was ready to burst inside of you. Ever since he’d begun, you’d felt like you were riding the high of one long, never-ending orgasm, and you felt your pussy clenching around him, well-used and pliant.
“Holy fuck, lass. You’re so full of us. Gonna be drippin’ outta you all night, I’ll bet.”
“Are you gonna fill me up, Johnny?” You keened, knowing how much he liked it when you teased him.
“Jesus Christ, Sparrow,” Soap’s eyes furrowed, looking lost and then… he found himself. His orgasm raced through his body, bursting from his shaft in long, hot ropes of come, spending himself into you almost violently.
Barely able to breathe, he removed himself from you as gently as he could, wiping the fluids off of his cock and shoving them back into your well-used hole.
“Si,” Price commanded, “Can you hand me the plug?”
“Aye, Captain. Here,” Simon handed him the clean, girthy vaginal plug that the captain had purchased and passed it to him.
Carefully, Price reached down and wet it at your entrance before stuffing it inside of you, sealing his men’s semen inside.
“Wait,” you breathed, trying to get your brain back online, “What about you? It’s your turn.”
You looked up at him, glassy-eyed, and he grinned,
“I think you’ve got enough in there to last you the week, little bird.”
“But…” You tried not to sound selfish, but you couldn’t figure out how to ask for what you wanted.
Simon knew what you were trying to say, and he said it for you,
“She wants you, too, Cap. Full or not.”
“She’s spent, and she needs water and rest. She doesn’t need any more of —”
“Please?” You asked, watching him get up from the bed and move to get dressed, “Please, John.”
He put his shirt back on the chair and mounted you as if he was going to fuck you, pushing himself onto your body like an animal, pinning you down. His voice was a warning,
“Are you askin’ me ‘cause you think that’s wha’ I wanna hear, Spar?”
You shook your head, whispering, reeling from his display of power,
“No, I just… want you.”
Price sighed, running a wide hand down his face and looked over at his men. It seemed like he was asking for help, or permission. You didn’t fully understand, but Ghost did.
Simon stepped into his gym shorts and motioned for Gaz and Soap to follow him,
“Gonna hop in the shower. Still watchin’ MASH later, yeah?” Ghost put his huge hand on your forehead and brushed your hair out of your face.
“Aye,” Price nodded, watching them file out.
Johnny gave you his usual kisses, one on your lips and one on your forehead,
“Makin’ you popcorn, too, bonnie. Extra butter.”
You kissed him back, smiling at the boys as they left you alone with their leader.
You turned to him, waiting for him to decide, giving him a way out,
“Hey, if you don’t want to —”
“No,” he interrupted you, resting his impossibly fat cock on your folds, the head of him reaching past your belly button, “Tha’s not it, love. I want you so bad I can barely look at you. I just don’t wanna hurt you. Gonna be sore tomorrow, soldier,” he joked, trying to take the sincerity out of his voice, rubbing your outer lips with his thumbs, massaging the stretched muscles with care.
“You won’t hurt me,” you reached down and pet his shaft with your fingertips, pressing it into your belly, caressing it with the lightest touch. Against his will, it jerked up towards your hand in response.
He eyed you for a moment before twisting the plug out of you, not as mindful as Soap, letting the wet body of the toy rest on his sheets, covered in other men’s come.
Price dipped his thumb into your swollen hole, gathering up the mix of fluids onto the pad of his finger. He grabbed you by the nape of your neck and pulled you up, presenting this offering to you. Without breaking eye contact, you sucked his thumb into your mouth, eating the warm cream off of his hand.
Then, he angled himself toward you, still holding you upright, letting you watch as his cock stretched your lips wide and tight. Happy with his position, he tucked both of his hands around the back of your neck and began to rut into you like a wild beast.
You thought he was concerned about hurting you, but he didn’t hold back. If anything, he fucked you harder, as if he was trying to teach you — or himself — some kind of lesson. It was too intense. You could feel every inch of him as if you were being fucked for the first time. Your body trembled, and your mind swam, high from the continual hit of oxytocin, the pleasure making your thoughts dreamlike and surreal.
“Such a good girl for us,” he breathed, “Watchin’ you take their come like that. Bloody gorgeous. So willing. Your body just loves our cocks, don’t it?”
You nodded, trying to gasp for air, tumbling into an orgasm hard and fast.
“Yeah?” He grunted, “Fuckin’ hell. You fit me like a goddamn glove, little bird. I can feel them inside of you. All of their come. Feels so soft. So wet…”
“John… unghhh!” You came on him, but he didn’t let up. He just fucked you right through it, letting you suffer on his muscle, riding you hard and sloppy.
“Can’t wait to see you with that full, round belly. These big, heavy tits. Will you let me taste your milk, hm? Just a taste.”
He sucked your nipple into his mouth and laved at it with his tongue, sending bolts of pleasure right to your core. You weren’t sure what had gotten into your captain, but he was out of his mind with lust. His grunting and moaning were loud and shameless, and he manhandled your body like you belonged to him. Like you were his plaything.
“You are so beautiful…” John’s voice changed its timbre, and you met his eyes. There was something else he had to tell you, but he didn’t get the chance to say it. His face twisted into a mask of blissful agony and he let himself go, pumping his come deep inside of you, screaming in loud, barking shouts, holding you so tightly to him, you could barely breathe.
He fell on you, keeping his cock buried to its hilt, pulsing in you like a second heartbeat, totally spent. With the last bit of his energy, he fumbled with the plug and replaced himself with it, rolling off of you carefully, so as not to harm you.
Hours may have passed; you had no idea. But, since the others hadn’t come looking for you, you figured time was expanding only in your mind. You were pinned to Price’s furry body, covered in his heavy muscles as his little spoon, listening to him breathe. Eventually, when you could speak in full sentences again, you spoke softly.
“John,” you kissed his palm, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fallin’ for you, little bird,” he said with a cold, calculated certainty, “We all are. Don’t know how one baby can have four fathers.”
Your heart was crushed at the disappointment in his voice, and you turned to face him,
“So, what if it has four fathers? Will you love them less?”
“No,” he shook his head, “Of course not. If you… If you asked me to, I’d sign my bloody name no matter whose baby it was. Tha’s not what I’m worried about.”
“What are you worried about?” You put your hand on his cheek, making him look at you.
“I’m worried it’ll be too much for you. That we’ll be too much for you. You should do what makes you happy, little bird.”
He rolled out of bed and put his clothes back on in silence. When he was done, he helped you sit up and gave you some water. Wrapping you in a big fluffy robe, he pulled you to your feet and squeezed your hand,
“C’mon. Let’s go watch your show. The lad’s will be waitin’ for you.”
You followed your captain out to the common room, seeing that Simon and Johnny had saved you a seat between them. You smiled, settling into the middle of the couch, watching as Price sat in his big chair, lighting a cigar and stealing some popcorn from Gaz.
You couldn’t help but think about what he had said, nor could you stop thinking about the way that he had fucked you. Absent-mindedly, out of some form of comfort, you squeezed your tired muscles around the plug, wondering what the future held for you and these men. Could you care for them all? Was that even in the realm of possibility? It was so far from the accepted norm, you couldn’t envision a life like that. But, you were no quitter. If anyone was worth trying for, it was these four soldiers, and you decided you were going to do everything you could to care for them as much as they cared for you. Normalcy be damned.

Can i Resquest. Yandere Tfa Jettwins x Conjux Jet cybertronian reader
At this rate I'll actually start to say that I did watch the TF Animated series with the compilations and wikis I read to do these characters.
ψ(`∇´)ψ Kudos for me!
(TFA) Yandere!Jettwins (Jetstorm & Jetfire) w/ Conjux!Jet!Reader
WARNINGS: Yandere behaviour, possessive and obsessive behaviour, others know about the situation yet don't help you. Reader is a cybertronian autobot, gender neutral and the conjux of both jettwins (just in case - there is NO 1ncest here, yikes).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Where to start in order to explain your whole situation?
Both Jetfire and Jetstorm are two full forces that tackled you down and decided to make you the center of their universe. Like two stars following a bright sun.
Jetfire is a possessive yandere, too touchy for anyone's liking and that tends to be quite territorial.
Jetstorm is an obsessive yandere, leans on the stalking behaviour and, just like his twin, it's also territorial.
Reading their wikis - both Jettwins give me the vibes that when both had the Decepticon coding for the sake to save their lives and have flight abilities on the Elite Guard's team, their yandere tendencies appeared but remained dormant.
Until you arrived to their lives.
Another autobot that was on the Elite guard, although you didn't participate that much in battles or such, you were a brilliant mind that helped around, organized and trained aspiring bots to become autobots.
The Jettwins felt their sparks vibrate when their optics met yours.
Jetstorm felt his spark roar with the same strenght a tornado does, while Jetfire felt his spark be set on fire and become a star.
Sentinel Prime definitely can see how slowly (and yet, quickly) the Jettwins fall in love and become obsessed with you as they are constantly talking about you whenever they either don't have anything to do, await for orders or even while working.
Going back to the Jettwins, first they would catch glimpses of you working whenever they were on Cybertron, then it scalated to them starting to stalk and follow you.
Jetstorm was the one to stalk you the most, always coming back to his twin and gush with him about everything you did on the day and the new things he learned and found about you.
Jetfire was the twin to take the lead and actively start to interact with you, and from there on, both jettwins always try to talk with you, or if they can't but the three of you are on the same room, from afar they try to make you smile or laugh. (Much to Sentinel's annoyance, as they tend to not pay him that much attention if you are around, as if you weren't always on their minds).
Oh, such sweetsparks they are! They always make you company in your breaks, talking with you and loving to listen to you about anything! Hobbies, fun facts, anything that has catched your optics, anything! To listen to you speaking about something with passion or joy makes their sparks sigh in love.
Though, be careful if you ever vent about somebot, I fear both jettwins would get silently violent at any bot, specially if you complain about it.
"Ugh - lately (insert bot's name) has been all over my back demanding too many reports as if I am not dealing also with the new students. It's giving me a helmache."
A couple of days later, said bot either stopped being too demanding with you or verbally apologized as if they insulted your own creators - either scenarios, you could notice how they seemed too nervous now to be around you and would flinch if the jettwins appeared.
Any potential romantic interest is also dealt with. The jettwins are not afraid to threaten others, and they manage to scare their victims - the tough ones that 'fight' them back are met with Safeguard's anger.
Because only them are worthy to be with you - their beloved sweetspark.
After doing the Conjunx Ritus, you became the conjux of both Jetfire and Jetstorm - and they couldn't be happier. The yandere tendencies got worse from there on.
Each day their love for you grew in alarming pace, both jettwins would always thank Primus for giving the chance at having you as their respective, one and only, conjux endura - promising to always bring you honor, love, protection and keep you safe and sound from any danger, to kill stop any Decepticon and anyone who stands in the way of their love for you.
Whenver they get the chance, when Sentinel is not ordering them things or working, they are all over you - Jetfire is touching to you one way or another; one arm thrown over your shoulderplates, his helm leaning over yours, etc. Meanwhile, Jetstorm is happy to just hold your servo, but keeps his optics over you all the time, keeping locked inside of his mind every single little detail about you.
Rest assure, dear - the Jettwins will keep you safe and sound, loving you, forever.

— just a small drabble about Gojo sheltering you from the rain :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was like you didn’t seem to care.
Walking slightly behind the first years, your arm outstretched, umbrella firm in your grasp as you shielded them from the timid monsoon invading your journey.
Your clothes were slowly soaking up the rain, but you neglected yourself the same protection as you provided to the students.
You clearly didn’t notice how your hands were beginning to tremble, how the cold permeated your being like soaked glove, too focused on praising Nobara for her “Excellent display of leadership” during their last joint mission.
“And don’t think I’m leaving you boys out of this!” You gleefully empathised, glancing up ever so slightly to ensure the umbrella was still covering the three of them, “You’re all really coming along with the whole ‘working as a team’ thing, well done!”
Gojo walked behind, watching you, always watching you, an almost unnoticeable downwards tilt on his lips as your clothes saturated in the downfall.
You were always so caring.
“Yea!” Itadori beamed, his arms flinging over both Nobara and Megumi, pulling them closer. “We do make a great team ay?”
“Under my leadership, of course we do.” Nobara was grinning, her hand subconsciously stroking the brown sac in which her hammer lay, a cheeky look in her eye as she raised her head to look at Yuji.
“I had to point out the curse to stop both of you being surprise attacked you know?” Megumi muttered, glancing at the arm around his shoulder.
“Only because Itadori got stuck under that shitty pile of rocks and wouldn’t stop whining! I was distracted.”
“Hey! That wasn’t my fault- you pushed me?!?!”
“You got in the way of my attack it’s not the same thing!”
“Really? …I could have sworn you were aiming for his head.”
“Who’s side are you on here Megumi?!?!”
You turned back to Gojo, your eyes brimming with childish joy, you were reminiscing quietly of your own youth, holding back a chuckle, and Gojo couldn’t help but stare, his blindfold hiding the softest expression, his face appearing impassive to any passer-by’s.
And you’re turning back around, a light bounce in your step ready to remind the trio that they all preformed excellently, and Gojo hesitated, eyes still focused on the way rain was pelting down on your figure.
In every sense of the word; Satoru Gojo is untouchable.
He’s the strongest, basking in the glory of loneliness that such strength invites. Nobody can reach him, nobody will ever come close.
His name, status and abilities are simply, unreachable.
Not even the soft pitter patter of the rain can bridge the lack of contact.
Each droplet slowing and slowing until it gives up, deciding it's not worth a touch, that he's not worthy of touch.
Satoru Gojo was a man who braved the world alone, and this was a destiny he had known far too long to resent it, or to crave a world otherwise.
Until he met you, and your pretty smile, and your gentle way of care.
Pestering him when he doesn’t report back after his missions, your voice laced with concern that he did not need.
Of course he came back ok, he was the strongest.
And yet you still worried, shaking your head at his carelessness.
“Strongest or not, I’d prefer to know that you’re alive.”
And so Gojo hesitated.
His brain screaming at him to stay put, to not let you in, to stay as far away from you as he could possibly could.
It’s better when he’s alone, he’s stronger when he’s alone.
But his body seemed to crave you as much as his heart yearned for you, and seemingly against his will, his feet sped up, taking two strides until he was beside you, an easy smile on his face, concealing the tremor he felt in his heart.
You look at him, your face glowing with an unperturbed joy, welcoming him into the conversation with an ease that comes naturally when you’re with him.
“My amazing teaching’s paying off, eh?” His voice came out gentle, and you were sure he winked under his mask.
“Must be.” You giggle, and then you’re pausing, your eyebrows raised in confusion.
It was no longer raining.
Or more-so, it was no longer raining on you.
Turning your head you catch the slight smirk of the man beside you, who didn’t attempt to share your gaze, instead opting to tease Megumi for pouting, his voice light, a small spring in his step.
And you’re ogling at how the rain falls towards you but stops just short, slowing to a halt.
You were in his infinity, he had shared his space with you.
You wanted to cry.
Quietly you whisper a small “Thank you,” to Gojo, who’s smile only widened.
He didn’t reply, but the gentle feeling of his pinkie brushing yours made you swoon, persisting onwards, with your umbrella in-front of you, your hand entangled with the strongest.

word count: 2.3k
a/n: I already realized that you like drabbles more, but damn, this work is more elaborate...
Tumblr media
After about five minutes of wandering up and down the stairs, I finally reached the deck, which was surprisingly empty. Walking over to the railing, I climbed over it. I stretched out on my arms, which I used to hold onto the rail, breathing in the salty air, I smiled a little. The sight of water always thrilled me and I would probably love to work on a ship. Yes, the work would be hard, but that feeling of imaginary freedom stirred my blood. I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of the sea, trying to memorize it as best I could.
For the first time in a long time I felt good, free. Even in spite of all the events that had happened. And even though my heart was filled with anxiety, I knew that I would remember this moment only with a smile.
Suddenly I cried out, feeling someone else's hand on my stomach, and the way it pressed me against the fence and someone else's big, warm body. I didn't even realize how cold I was until I felt such a stark contrast of warmth.
I looked down at my stomach and saw a dark scarred woman's hand. It was completely around my stomach and waist, not even giving me a ghostly hope that I could escape. I relaxed a little at the fact that it wasn't some drunken warrior clutching me, but Amressa.
- It's a nice dress,” the Medard clan leader said glumly, ”But I remember it was delivered to you in a different state.
-Really? - I thought about it playfully - Ah, yes, I remember there were some dresses that looked like they were made for an outlandish doll.
- Dolls? Interesting comparison-the woman held me tighter to her, seemingly afraid that I was about to fall into the sea. - You're going to drown yourself?
-I'm not going to give you that joy, believe me, I plan to make your life a living hell-” I laughed hoarsely, leaning my head back against her shoulder.
- What's wrong with your voice? Why is it so hoarse and low?
- And you shouldn't give a fuck about that,” I lost all the fun, ”Let me go, I'm not going to drown myself. If I wanted to, I would have done it a long time ago.
-No-she moved her hand right to my waist and took it from the other side and with some incredible ease lifted me over the fence and set me beside her.
My face expressed what must have been an extreme degree of displeasure. I raised my head and looked her in the eye. Now standing in front of her without heels, I could feel the incredible difference in height. Considering that I was also very frail, it probably looked ridiculous.
I rolled my eyes and walked over to the fence again, this time just sitting on it.
- What are you doing here?
- The warrior who was guarding you reported that you left the room with a very aggressive demeanor,” I rolled my eyes and snorted quietly. - I knew it wasn't true; he was being punished for his lies.
- Punishing your loyal warriors because of your trophy? - I laughed again, feeling her back come up to me again, but this time she didn't touch me, just put her hands on either side of me, leaning over my head.
- Do you consider yourself my trophy?
- Isn't that what it is? I personally think that word describes my situation perfectly. - I swung my legs, I felt the vise of anxiety release my heart. To my surprise I felt impossibly comfortable being around her. Under other circumstances I would have fallen in love with her and fallen in love with myself, but unfortunately not now.
- Not like this. - A menacing wheeze sent a small shiver through me, and I was slightly surprised at my body's reaction to her proximity, her voice...
- Who then? I'm at a loss as to what status I'm in.
- It has not changed, Princess Ras. I took you away in exchange for a peace treaty, whatever your parents may have annexed to some other country. - The woman took her hands off the side and just when I thought she was about to leave, I felt her lean her elbows on the rail so that she grazed my palm. She hummed and looked up into the starry sky - You think I haven't tried peace talks with them? I offered them safety and my support in case they were attacked, but they refused. So I went to war on them, I couldn't let my enemies get you and your magic. It's easier to fix a problem when it's small. You can't wait for it to grow. Do you understand?
- I see,” I thought for a moment, raising my head too and looking up at the night sky, ”I doubt my mother will be able to rule. If I were you, I'd send proxies to make sure she doesn't run the kingdom into the ground and- - I stammered, realizing that Ambressa has no need to preserve my state. She didn't care deeply if it collapsed or not. She only wanted my magic from my kingdom. And to keep it from becoming stronger than hers.
-And? - The head of the clan hummed and turned a smiling face toward me. But that smile wasn't mocking, rather it was sweet and soothing.
- And that was it. I've already realized that it's in your best interest...” I looked away, ”I'm sorry I made your job easier by killing my father. I should have let him live.
- Do you regret killing him?
-No, I regret that my state will collapse in my lifetime. -No.
We were silent for a while, each of us thinking about something else.
- If you get over your pride and ask me to send my men there, I'll do it. As a sign that I'm not going to be your enemy. It's not in my best interest after all. - I could feel the woman's gaze on my face, attentive, scrutinizing.
- What's in your best interest? - I turned my head and looked earnestly into her eyes.
- To be my confidant, to make your magic my greatest weapon.
- And in return, you will not let my country decline? - A flame of hope flickered in my eyes that I couldn't seem to hide. Ambassa smiled at my face with the softest and most charming smile I had ever seen in my life.
- Yes, but you still have to ask for it.
I narrowed my eyes and puckered my lips, showing my displeasure, which made me hear a raspy laugh.
- You're different now, not like you were in your palace. Too emotional....
-I held my face there, in front of my parents and my people. I couldn't look weak in front of my people, then they would lose confidence that everything was fine, and my family would lose respect. They would definitely start a revolution there, and my mother... She could never in her life rein in even the servants, let alone the rebels. Now I don't see much point in putting on a mask. And what's the point, you'll understand what I'm feeling anyway, you've obviously had a lot of experience in this matter.
- You won't even try.
- It's not rational. I'll just go crazy if I keep masks on all the time, and besides, why would I do that? I'm no longer a member of the royal family.
- What makes you say that? I already told you that you haven't lost your status. Once you learn how to rule, I'll let you go back to your homeland and you can continue to rule in your homeland.  I'm not going to take away your heritage.
 - Will you make a comfortable ruler out of me? - I laughed hoarsely again at the disrupted voice and stared silently at the sky, pondering the dialog that had just taken place between Ambessa and me. I took a deep breath of fresh air and turned my head.
Mrs. Medarda was leaning back, relaxed, on the railing, looking up at the sky, her face was completely calm, not a single muscle in her face was trembling, she was breathing deeply, seemingly enjoying the sea breeze too.
“She's especially beautiful right now...”. I twitched from my thoughts.
-Okay, then as Princess Ashara I ask you to send men to my state to prevent the decline of the kingdom. - I stood up from the railing and looked at her again.
- If you say so, darling"-the woman straightened up and grinned at me. She hooked my chin and forced me to look her straight in the eye - Sometimes, you have to swallow your pride. I'm not telling you this as a pejorative, but as a fact. From time to time, there are no options left but to ask for help. Like you just did. - And while I was recovering from either the shock of her touching me or her words. The girl picked me up in her arms like a bride. - You walk barefoot on a ship whose decks are lined with wood. You'll get splinters and diseases. What do you want, princess?
I just stared at her in shock, unable to get anything coherent out of my mouth. The woman, on the other hand, looked at me with a slight smile, starting to walk.
- Fuck, Ambessa, put me on the floor! - I jerked my legs, trying to get out of her arms - Stop it, I understand, of course, but I'm not a kitten that weighs a few hundred grams and can be picked up whenever you want.
Medard laughed hoarsely, not even thinking of stopping and letting go. She didn't seem to care at all about the strength with which you were thrashing about in her arms.
- You think I can't hold you in my arms? You're sorely mistaken, you weigh nothing to me. What did you say, “kitten”? Well, you are a kitten.
I rolled my eyes, but I stopped kicking, enjoying the warmth of the woman and the feeling of safety. I heard her snicker softly.
- Have you been in situations where you needed to temper your pride? - I decided to revisit the subject.
- A long time ago, before I came to the throne. And I made sure I would never be in that position again in my life. - Ambressa carried me like a jewel, carefully, making sure I didn't hit anything, head or feet. - Because of the vines you braided around the door, Maria couldn't get to you, so I can send people to wake her up and bring her to you. - In a hurry Ambessa translated the conversation; it seems that this topic of conversation was unpleasant for her. Well, I didn't insist, I found out everything I wanted to know.
-No need let him sleep. - I didn't want to see anyone; I just wanted to close my eyes and wrap myself in a warm blanket and fall asleep. I could feel my body freezing, and the only thing I wanted was to be warm at last.
-The woman opened my cabin and sat me down.
I looked around the room and realized the place had been cleaned up. The ashes that lay everywhere from the burned cushions and parts of the dresses had been removed, leaving no trace. The dresses themselves were gone, either put back in the closet or taken away. There were sheets of paper and new pens on the table again. What was new was the first aid kit on the bed.
Ambressa crouched on one knee in front of me and took my ankle in her hands. She pulled something from the medicine cabinet and began to wash the blood off my legs.
I watched her movements mesmerized. Her touches were light and gentle, even though she was the epitome of strength and courage. When all the blood was washed away, she soaked a cloth in alcohol and put it on my skin, which made me yank my leg and hiss. But she didn't let me pull it out, just squeezed my leg tighter.
-Hush, princess. You've cut your feet into meat, you need to work on them.
She looked at me with her lovely eyes, tilting her head to the side, letting me prepare for the pain. I clenched my fists, held my breath, and nodded slightly, letting her know I was ready.
She went back to treating the wounds. I could feel her hands twitching at my slightest moan of pain. The only excuse I could come up with for why she was doing this was that she only wanted to establish communication between us.
- I looked down at her exhaustedly and exhaled a sigh of relief. - I'll just bandage your legs and you'll be free to go.
-Why are you doing this? You know I could have done it myself, or you could have had a doctor come to me. - The question just came out of me.
- I like taking care of you,” she finished dressing me without looking up. - And I want you to trust me. Neither I nor my men will harm you, I want you to understand that.
She stood up again, towering over you, pressing her power again.
-Good dreams, Princess Ros, -she left the cabin without waiting for my reply.
-I whispered absent-mindedly in the empty room and climbed under the blanket. Using magic, I turned out the light in the room and closed my eyes.
“I'll think about it tomorrow,” was the last thought that flashed through my head.

Your marriage to Robb Stark didn’t come with a husband’s love, but nonetheless brought with it all the duties of the Lady of Winterfell. You felt robbed, neither your father not husband ever spared you a second thought. Yet you dutifully married Robb, and now were running his household.
You sighed as you helped one of the servants count sacks of grain in the great yard of Winterfell. The southern houses were yet to send the grain you bought. There was meat to be salted and firewood collected. Winter was coming, you thought worriedly, and there was still so much to do.
A frown fell on your face as you realized you were thinking like one of them.
Two months passed since your wedding. You thought you would get used to Robb openly loving Talisa. Yet these last few weeks you found yourself more quick to tears than you ever were. You didn’t care about Robb per se, but that he was your husband and shared his bed with a wench from the free cities.
You couldn’t even plead for an annulment, as you had consummated your marriage the night of the wedding. You remember feeling his caring touch, murmured apologies as he tenderly made love to you. He was determined but acted out of duty, not passion. You felt a spark of hope then, in the throes of pleasure. Perhaps now that he had you, Robb would be true and send Talisa away.
That hope was fleeting. He slept in her tent every night after that, for the rest of the war. Your broken heart hardened towards him, your humiliation turned to resentment.
When he won the war and you were seated next to him at the feast, you had foolishly hoped Robb would honor you on returning to Winterfell, and shun Talisa, but she remained by his side in your place. You felt despair, there was no light at the end of this tunnel.
You felt increasingly miserable this morning, and felt very light headed too. You had not been eating these last couple of weeks, and woke each morning retching. A wave of nausea rolled over you now.
“My lady, are you alright?” You heard a serf question as you faltered. You felt him guide you to a pile of hay but you were dizzy and sweaty, and fell into the inviting void.
When you awoke you were in bed propped up by pillows.
Catelyn was sitting next to you, and gave you a tentative smile when you looked at her.
“How do you feel?” She asked you gently. She patted you on the head. You felt too ill to reply.
The maester walked in and asked you a few questions. You answered curtly, you didn’t care for any of the northerners, not even him.
“My lady, I have examined you while asleep. I am happy to say you are with child,” he reported softly.
Your mouth fell open and your head whipped to look at him. “What?” You whispered. Catelyn squeezed your hand reassuringly.
You had given up on all hopes of motherhood when Robb went back to Talisa from the second night. You felt tears well in your eyes.
“Are you certain?” You whispered.
“We will know more as the months progress. The child will come before winter starts, if what we know is true.” He said, gently smiling.
You started to laugh. The hopeless despair ebbed away out of you. You were filled with joy so pure you started to cry.
“I thought it could never happen to me,” you muttered, unable to control yourself. Catelyn cringed but gave you a sympathetic glance.
You knew she felt bad for you and sympathized with you. She thought her husband’s bastard was the end of the world, but her son proved to be far worse.
You spent the rest of the day in bed, the maester’s instructions, and slightly rubbed your belly.
“Just you and me now, love,” you said, smiling to yourself.
It was Catelyn who told Robb that you were carrying his child. When the maester revealed the news, she had hoped it was because Robb finally took you to bed. But he seemed surprised, and told her not since the wedding night had he touched you.
Robb drowned in regret that night. Talisa tried to touch him, to hug him, but he shrugged her away and went to peer out the window, feeling the crisp northern air. He wanted to go to the only other person who felt the same happiness as him, but you had chosen to give up your right of informing him about your baby.
The months that followed made Robb crumble with guilt whenever your paths crossed.
You were glowing at dinner one night, smiling and answering all sorts of questions.
Your face looked surprised all of a sudden, and Robb looked at you worriedly. You grabbed Catelyn’s hand and let her feel your babe move. She laughed, blue eyes lighting up, and assured you it was alright, your baby was strong.
Talisa saw the longing and pining in Robb’s eyes. He wished to feel his son kick too. Instead, he looked dejected and regretted the bed he made for himself by hurting you. He apologized to Talisa that night. He paid her handsomely for the inconvenience and sent her away back to the south where she could reunite with the Sept.
As the months passed you grew in size and walked funnily. You read to your child often, and you and Catelyn became the best of friends. You looked forward to the birth, sure you were anxious, but it would be worth it to hold your child.
When the maesters suggested you lie in bed till the arrival of the little lord, Robb noticed your continual absence at dinner.
“Can I go meet her, mother?” He asked Catelyn one night as she walked out of your chamber.
“Why do you hurry? Perhaps you must wait until the child is grown and you are on your deathbed?” Catelyn said sharply, and turned on her heels. It took a beat for Robb to register that she was being sarcastic.
“It is my child too. My first. My hier.” Robb protested, following her.
“And yet while she struggles, you have not acknowledged it, nor have you uttered a kind word to her.” She said sharply.
“I- I-“ Robb was at a loss. He didn’t imagine you could want his company in your delicate situation. He felt a sharp spasm in his stomach as his guilt grew, he knew he took the easy way out by assigning responsibility to you, when he was to blame.
“I am ashamed you are my son,” Catelyn said finally. Robb watched her go, his heart sinking in his chest.
He didn’t sleep at all that night, and the next, and the nights after that. One day, he couldn’t take any more of the anguish and decided to pay you a visit. It was the middle of the night and the whole castle slept.
Your door creaked as he pushed it open, and to his surprise he saw you still awake. You were resting against the furs, half sitting, and had a book propped up on your swollen belly.
“Lady Y/N,” Robb said softly. He had always called you Lady Y/N or Lady Fray.
“My lord,” you said, confused. You no longer felt any anger when you saw him, but he was the last person you expected to see at this hour. Let alone in his breeches with a half open robe thrown on top.
“Shouldn’t you be sleeping?” he questioned gently. He carefully approached your bed till he sat on the edge, over the furs. You unwillingly noticed the strength in his shoulders, the hard lines of his abdomen. Maybe childbirth would lessen your desire, you hoped.
“I cannot breathe when I lay down. It’s like he rests on my lungs,” you said, affection infusing your voice as you spoke of your child.
“I’m sorry to hear,” Robb said softly. “I know I have not acted the ideal husband-“  He let out a self depreciating laugh.
“An understatement.” You said. He looked sad at that. Sad and pathetic.
He leaned forward and kissed your brow. “I cannot express how deeply sorry I am,” he whispered.
“I will try to atone for my sins. For you and for our child.”
“Robb,” you said quietly, eyes wide. “you can start by calling the maesters. I think he wants to come out.”
Robb sprung back and you noticed he looked younger than ever. His hair fell into his face.
“Now?” He asked, “Are you alright?”
You felt another sharp cramp hit. “The maesters, Robb. Now!”
Robb didn’t attend to his duties the next day. He sat outside your chambers, propped up against the wall with his legs spread out in front of him.
The maesters and even his mother warned that first babies were slow to come, he had better go about his duties. But his head was clouded with thoughts of you. He felt ice shards pierce his heart whenever he heard you moan or cry, but the silence in between was far worse to endure.
He prayed to the old gods and to the new that if you lived, he would spend the rest of his life making it up to you.
Robb didn’t wish to see anyone, and no one could convince him to go wait elsewhere. At last after sun down he heard the sounds of your baby. He waited to be let in, to see his child and heir.
It felt like ages before the door opened. Catelyn’s smiling face beckoned him inside. He found you seated on the bed again, looking drained but shining with pride and joy.
“Your daughter,” you said shyly to him, still looking at her. You rocked her as she let out a small cry. She did a tiny yawn and you cooed in response, your heart exploding with love.
“I’m sorry about how cruelly I treated you.” Robb apologized.
“Robb-“ you said, trying to stop him, but he cut you off.
“Neither you nor I entered this marriage willingly, but I have been most unfair. I do not wish to dishonor you. Love is something we build brick by brick, not momentary passion.”
“Why now?” You asked, confused. “Why now after all this time?”
“Because I’ve fallen in love with you.” You gasped.
“I know you do not share my feelings but we have a lifetime to correct it.” He continued, smiling cheekily.
You grinned and rolled your eyes. You were stuck with him, for better or worse.
