1. How many are you happy with?

the vast majority, actually. Like, this was a fantastic trip down memory lane, I’d forgotten how many of these I had written and I’m quite fond of the majority. both titles and writing quality.

2. How many are…not great?

the minority, I think. Looking at them, I think the only ones i’m not happy with are A Long Week Ahead and A Fear Unfounded but in terms of writing quality. the former suffers more because I’m not satisfied with that title but idk what else I’d call it except “A Porn Parody for People Who Hate The Father/Daughter Dynamic People Have Weirdly Thrust On These Two Characters”

3. How many did you scramble for at the last minute?

I think it’s like. An even split. Some of these were named within the hour of posting. 

4. How many did you know before you started writing/creating, or near the beginning?

just under half of them maybe. like 9 or 10 maybe.

5. How many are quotes from songs or poems?

Cheri Piers is a shoutout to Warrant’s Cherry Pie and I do recommend it for listening when reading that fic, as well as songs by The Cramps since I hc Piers as having a voice like Lux, the main singer of The Cramps. but yeah, all the others came from my head/aren’t a shoutout to a song or poem or anything.

6. How many are other quotes?

Justice Bitch is a reference to something a flamingo said to Michiru in BNA, if that counts. Eureka, again, similarly, it’s a bingo meme for a card game show about hackers so I thought it was fitting. Flower Power, I guess, should count since its name is lifted from the hippie dippy slogan from the 60′s. I might even put Pushing Roses and Scorched Sand in this category as well since the former is a reference to the tv show (I haven’t seen) Pushing Daisies and the latter is just straight up the same title of the video game level its based on.

7. Which best reflects the plot of the story/content of the fanwork?

AtsuKyou Week Ficlets is exactly what it says on the tin lol. Same for Pet Names and Pretty Short! Star Twinkle Collection and even Mama and Papa’s Lullaby. Debatably Cheri Piers as well. A lot of very literal titles in this grab bag, but there’s also a lot of non-indicative, poetic titles as well.

poor Stupid Boys Like Stupid Girls because it kind of has the inverse. its a title which does reflect the plot/content of the fic but not exactly since the fic itself devotes more to the themes of poison vs antidote rather than the supposed stupidity of either Daruizen or Nodoka but I came up the title first on that one so its kinda relic which stuck

8. Which best reflects the theme of the story?

When the fields were razed - its poetic, even has what I consider a romantic lilt to it but it also invokes violence and that’s exactly what a retelling of The Rape of Persephone should invoke, at least in my books. It also alludes to Eirika’s role as the Goddess of Eternal Springtime, I think.

9. Which best reflects the character voice of the story/pov of the fanwork?

mmmmmnot satisfied with this answer but probably Mama and Papa’s Lullaby since I can’t imagine Annette being called “mum/mom” or “mother”. I can maybe see Felix being called “dad” but hm, not really so I think it does well to position them as parents to their little one.

10. Which is your favourite title?

I would like to officially given The silver spoils of dawn this award since it almost got mentioned above (at number 8) but I gave it to my Eirika/Valter fic instead. I just feel like this title flows off the tongue, very sonically satisfying and its a little bit non-indicative since I never use that line in the fic but it refers to both Sothe and Micaiah and how Sothe deserves to be pampered haha

but if you use title in a different sense, I might give Nice Things the shoutout. Poor title but its just from my pseudo/quasi series “asmr: nice things happen to spectre” where i just. do that. write about nice things happening to spectre with a lil bit whump and hurt/comfort on the side and i get to write spectre as a lil gross and rather self indulgent so its just got a very special place in my heart for a combination of all these reasons regarding content, itself, rather than just the title
