Name: Colosso (manny)
Release Date: 29/05/2003
Date of adoption: 2005
Brand: Ty Beanie babies
I called him Manny as a child because of course i did but he always reminded me more of Manny's old partner and child because the cage drawings are red like he is. He can stand so i pictured him standing but he prefers to sit like a dog so i let him
His birthday is 06 September 2002 and his tage reads "When I walk by, the buildings shake
And sometimes people shout, “EARTHQUAKE”
But I don’t mind because, you see
I’m very happy just being me!" and that is very Manny the mammoth of him to say. I do have a picture of me with him when i was around age 3 but i will have to ask my mum if she's okay with me posting it here because it has her in it too but I'm pretty sure it'll be fine as I think its on Facebook anyway so is still online somewhere anyway.

Yo I'm curious.
I know a few but not all of them, who are all your Dana crushes?
Feel free to gush too 👍👍👍
There’s Scratch/Todd, a ghost (the blue ghost with the big nose) who separated from his body that literally “gave up the ghost” and eventually goes back to his body (Todd) that was kinda on auto pilot after being separated. Not only is both this character’s ghost and human design is cute, but I relate to his character the most and helped pull me out of a dark place at the time when the series first started. So he means a lot to me.
Master Shake, a giant talking, narcissistic and selfish milkshake that was an experiment from a mad scientist. Shake was my first of Dana crushes since I use to stay up late at night watching the show as a kid.
Baby Ball is a crass and cynical game ball that’s apart of a post-apocalyptic world were him and his teammates fight other players. His design is simple and cute, especially his gap teeth!
Danger Planet, a sentient arcade cabinet who gets stranded on a planet who protects a human baby that him and another bot found from, well, a dangerous planet. He only showed up in a cartoon pilot but his excitement for every thing is adorable!
Gazpacho is a woolly mammoth fruit fruit vendor that wants to be a stand up comedian who lives with his overbearing mother. He’s big and pathetic but also great with kids!
Question Hound is a comic character that you might recognize as the “Everything Is Fine” meme who Dana voiced in an TV bumper and then had a spin off comic.
Now this one character (the green octopus looking alien) only shows up in one episode but was named “Puppet Master” on his character sheet but his story is that he was exiled on a moon for crimes against the universe and puppets people into being his friend out of loneliness.
And then there’s Dr. Colosso, an evil villain from a live action sitcom who got turned into a bunny and forced to live with a family of superheroes. He’s very hammy and over the top which makes him fun to watch!
#there’s also was his version of plastic man from DC but I dont really ship with him anymore#I would gush more but I feel this is a bit long already#👻 scratch 👻#👔 todd 👔#🥤 shake 🥤#🟢 baby ball 🟢#🕹️ danger planet 🕹️#🔥 ques.tion hound 🔥#🦣 gazpacho 🦣#the last two I don’t have tags for yet in case you wanted to check the characters’ tags#💌 letters 💌#anonymous

9. Juggles the clown bear
Speaking of clowns....LOOK AT HIM!! the details! The polka dots! The frills! His little red nose!! The big clown shoes!! The longer I look at him, the more delightful little features I notice. From what I've seen, he IS a little more expensive than other beanies (most can be found for 5-7 dollars in at least one place online, but the lowest I've seen him go is 25 dollars) but I'd say he's worth every penny.
10. Jinxed the black cat
There are a few different Halloween themed black cat beanie babies, and admittedly I love them all. So what puts this one above the rest? The trick or treating bag, that's what. This cat and it's little pumpkin bag reminds me of the joy of trick or treating late at night as a child. When I look at it, I can practically feel the gentle nip of the cold air on my face and hands as I walk along the sidewalk, streetlights turning on above my head. I can smell the fall leaves, floating through the air. I can see the orange and purple glow of the lights and decor lining the house, and the warm, comforting lights from inside people's houses as they open the door and let me pick a sweet little treat for myself. I can hear the other kids laughing and running down the street, bathed in the glow of moonlight and magic. Even years later, I can hear the laughter.
Also he's Beanie baby of the month which is pretty cool
11. Snips the Bear
I LOVE beanies with unique design concepts and this is a prime example of that. This beanie is supposed to look like it's fabric was cut out using a pair of those craft scissors that cut designs into paper, and it's long bow is reminiscent of a leftover piece of ribbon or other craft material. This guy works so well as an arts and crafts themed bear.
12. Zodiac horse
Another zodiac animal! While not as colorful as the goat, the shiny brown fabric works well with the rainbow yarn mane and shiny rainbow hooves. Honestly all the zodiac animals have banger designs.
13. Bushy the lion
The thing that really pulls me into this one is the color scheme, it's got cool sunset vibes. I like it.
14. Canyon the cougar
This one is here for a kind of unique reason. There's this one specific reddit user on the beanie baby subreddit who LOVES this beanie baby and has over 100 of them, including some unique ones, like one that got sun bleached and turned purple(!!), and they post about their collection. Their posts radiate such immense joy that seeing them made me a canyon lover too.
15. Colosso the mammoth
This guy just feels SO comforting. I could see this being sold at some museum gift shop and being taken home by a bunch of people as an end to a perfect day. The color is also really pretty.
16. Diddley the dog
This one just gives off such comforting vibes. It's listed as being a green dog, but I've always seen it as blue.
17. Capitan the whale
Everything about this beanie just...comes together. The blue pattern on the top looks like a clear, rippling sea, it's cutesy but not too cutesy, and the little sailor hat just pulls everything together.
18. Kooky the cat
Fun lanky design, bright colors and cool pattern, rainbow nose and whiskers, and stylish bowtie. It's like this one was planned perfectly to be a smash hit.
MY TOP 20 FAVORITE BEANIE BABIES (LONG POST)
this was a TOUGH list to make, since there are countless wonderful beanie babies out there and I it was hard to narrow it down to just 20. I was originally going to have just a top 10 list but limiting myself to just 10 is just too much to ask. this list isn't ranked or anything, I like all of these equally.
1. Grunt the razorback
I don't even know what it is about this dude that I love so so much, but he's great. Maybe it's because he was one of the first beanies I ever got, but he feels like one of the most beanie baby beanie babies ever, if that makes sense. The bright red color. The simple design and floppy body. The felt details. Yes sir, this is a mighty fine beanie.
2. Goochy the jellyfish
I feel like I legally can't have a "top best beanie" list without goochy. It's just required. I mean come on, it's goochy. Look at his curious, kind eyes. His pleasing pastel ombre colors. His tentacles and frills, perfect for using him as a fidget toy. 10/10, no notes
3. Swirly the snail
Same as with Goochy, I think if I made this list and posted it without Swirly, I would have my account shut down and all my beanie babies confiscated immediately. And I'd 100 percent deserve it, too. I mean LOOK at him.
4. Kaleidescope the cat
Ok, I know I said this wasn't a ranked list and I liked all the beanies on here equally, but...if I had to choose one of them to be my top favorite Beanie Baby ever, I would choose this one. Fuzzy purple nose! 12 different colors and patterns! Cool realistic yellow cat eyes! Perfect shape to hold! A cat! I've never seen a toy have so many different colors and patterns without looking too busy or over designed. The rainbow cheek/side of the head pattern is my favorite of kaleidescope's patterns.
4. Zodiac goat
What can I say, I'm a sucker for bright colors and fun patterns. Something and the gentle smeared rainbow pattern of this goat is so incredibly satisfying to look at, and I like his hooves each being a different color. It also helps that I really like goats.
5. Scorch and magic
Okay okay, this might be cheating a bit, having two beanies as one entry, but it feels wrong not to have these two together. Why do I like these so much? Well first off they're dragons, which already puts them up there with the best of the best, but also the shiny crinkly stuff their wings are made out of is absolutely wonderful to look at and feel.
6. 4-H beanie baby bear
This one is here for mostly personal reasons. You see, I have been involved in 4-H for most of my life, and it has been an amazing experience. I made friends, I gained new life experiences, and did tons of things that I would not have done otherwise. I got jobs through 4-H when I was old enough, and it even influenced which college I went to and what I majored in. So when I learned there was a beanie for it, I knew I had to include it.
7. Cheezer
Cheezer.
8. These clown style birthday bears
Even though I used the picture of the light blue one, this one comes in 12 different colors (one for each month's birthstone) and I don't have a favorite color/month, i just like this line of beanies in general. They have that smeared rainbow fabric that I like (is smeared the right word? Idk how to describe it otherwise) and I like the clown vibes they have going on.
Oh and I just hit the 10 image post limit. This will be continued in a reblog.

Who is the baby you've had the longest? Mine is probably Colosso the Mammoth, I don't remember a time without that guy around so he's probably around 20
These are my originals. I never remember having one of these without the other. They were my grans before I was born, once I came into the picture her collection became my toys.
I was born in 2000 so this were probably purchased in the late 90s when they came out
Congo the Gorilla, Claude the Crab, Iggy the Iguana, Bongo the Monkey, Rainbow the Iguana, Cheeks the Baboon, and Mooch the Monkey
I laid Cheeks on his side so you could see his butt 🤭
