You guys have got to dive into Wayfarer's back catalog. Their first two albums, Children of the Iron Age and Old Souls, are really awesome. I'm still buzzing on A Romance With Violence (2020), which is a modern masterpiece, but that album's predecessors hold true to that old west black metal magic.⁠

I’m feeling the blackened thrashy love from Colorado today, as I just received a wonderful care package from the Necropanther crew. If you’ve been following me here for awhile, you know that I love this band. If you’ve been around me in real life, you know that I won’t shut up about them and I’ve forced you to listen to Eyes of Blue Light until you confess that it rules. This shirt is for Necropanther’s new-ish EP, Oppression, which kills it with the cover art. Thanks, guys!⠀

Here we go! The new Necropanther album (“The Doomed City”) just got an official announcement today, and you can listen to the first track right now on Bandcamp. It’s a ripper for sure. Melodic twin lead guitars, vocals that alternate between death growls and blackened-thrash rasps, piping hot (audible!) bass, and captivating drums. As if that wasn’t enough, the cover art is outstanding. If this isn’t worth $7 to you, you’re doing life wrong.
