The Gift of Home

I spent my last night in Palm Springs at the 

Colony Palms Hotel

 last night ruminating on - and, nostalgizing about - the past 13 days of my life.

Sitting in front of the crackling fireplace, after soaking in the deepest, most delicious, martini-olive green clawfoot tub, I asked myself why this period of time impacted my heart in such a profound way.

I realized that the gift of Modernism Week and the Christopher Kennedy compound is the group of people you get to meet, work with and play with.

Most of my fellow tastemakers, designers, brands and I had never met before yet we all united with one common, heart-centered goal:

To come together to help create the most beautiful dream home for 

Kelly Lee/Kelly Golightly and Klaus Moser

And, that's exactly what we did.

While I got to enjoy 13 days - and 13 days of wonderful company - at the dreamy, dream-come-true

 - Klaus and Kelly now have a dream home for life.

And, what better gift can you receive than to help make a home - and, a dream come true - for someone else?

 As for me, now I'm back in LA - and back to reality - and, it's time to get back to designing my own little dream home.

And, what better inspiration than what I've seen these past 2 weeks?

 — with Christopher Kennedy, Kelly Lee and Klaus Moser at Colony Palms Hotel.
