I have been fan of Hogwarts Legacy. Of course with the spark of creating our own character OC, it filled new door of imagination of Hogwarts and Wizarding life.

Which I want to include myself but.. as introvert..you know..introvert..

I dont know how lol since I am not good in community because I feel foreign over it.

Also as I mostly the one who watch, read, and see, part of me feel envious the creativity all of the fandom has and how advanced they are. Especially those who can draw.. damn your beautiful, awesome hand artist!!! (take it in good way, kay? ahaha) Also those who can write damn I missed my brain when it able and have the will to do that.

So in here I actually want to share my OC as well in Hogwarts legacy. But a note, I dont play it in PC so I dont have any mods to make my own character really ideal as I want it. I cant draw, like really cant. I also dont do fanfic anymore.. I think my will not over to the point writing by myself anymore. i still love write but...for roleplay which with character and you know..the AI's lol.

I know I actually can ask friend or commission for my OC but I dont have money for that.. hiks.

Her father is pureblood British. An alumni of Hogwarts, a Ravenclaw. He is a magician historian around the world. His interest over variation over what kind of magic around the world made him traveling and researching while making book about it.

One time he arrived at Indonesia. At 1800, Indonesia was colonized. Some of the people learned about foreign language, which the elites, while some of them not. But certainly foreign countries passed by and entered Indonesia for trade in some ways.

Her father research was magic in Indonesia. One of them he had heard about its black magic and the person called as Dukun. That made him encounter an Indonesian lady who was an elite family. But her family was unique because she was born from witchcraft family who has been working as Dukun from generation to generation. Her family was a Dukun of one of the empire that had been famous in the past where Indonesia had empire before western came in. Even it is not famous or known at the period he came, but the practice still being used hiddenly.

*Dukun is an Indonesian term for shaman. Their societal role is that of a traditional healer, spirit medium, custom and tradition experts and on occasion sorcerers and masters of black magic. The dukun is the very epitome of the kejawen or kebatinan belief system indigenous to Java. Very strong and ancient beliefs of animism, ancestor worship and shamanism are held by the people of the Nusantara. While medical doctors and revivalist Islam and Christianity have caused a decrease in the prominence of dukun, they remain highly respected and somewhat feared figures in Indonesian-Malay society, even in the most orthodox Muslim-dominant areas. Her mother was a Dukun who lived as an elite because of the history of such professionalism toward supernatural and traditional medicine and also granted with such gift of traditional skills of supernatural. Her magic although known hiddenly like that, but at the front, her job was just a herbalist and masseus who also yes, born from an elite family and able to connect and learned other foreigner.

The difference culture, magic and she herself made her father and her mother eventually caught each other interest. She also just knew about the new magic outside her country after all. Time and days passed and eventually as well, they became together.

They choose to raise family in his country, the wizarding world in UK. Although sometimes, they also went back to Indonesia since they also have their own house there and her family as well still in there. They were blessed with two daughter and decided they will let them learned magic through Hogwarts.

So Putri Lita is learning magic mostly influenced with UK but still feel foreign because she also learning her own mother magic as well.

Following the Hogwarts legacy; her magic was blooming late and even slow but it was there but not that strong. In her story, she did get the letter from Hogwarts at 12. But something crucial and traumatizing her made her mentally and physically unable to do magic after she got the news. So for about 2 years, she went into state of rehabilitation and got back her own magic and strength and study about it as well, easy to say kind of homeschooling in wizarding way. And in this case, Professor Weasley knew about it. All by the help of her older sister and father and also mother. At 15 her magic is clear and can be seen that she is a wizard. Professor Weasley then gave her another chance to entered Hogwarts at 5th year. Before entered the schools, for about 6 month as well Professor Fig knew and helped her magic as well.

And her life of adventure begin in Hogwarts at 5th year there.

And that is all for now about her!!

I still not make perfectly well and maybe there is flaw here and there. I dont make the family that detailed but maybe one day I will share briefly about them!

Cebuano Mythology says that Bakunawa is *only* a sea serpent who saw the moons and wanted to eat it because he found it pretty or amazing. Others say that Bakunawa had a sister that was a sea turtle who makes the water level increase. The people were frightened that their island would disappear so they killed her. When Bakunawa found out, he ate the moons. The people prayed to their supreme god to punish Bakunawa. THe god refused and told them to bang pots and pans to disturb the Bakunawa who later regurgitated the moon and disappeared. There’s another story involving Bakunawa falling in love but Im straying.

There’s other cultures like the Bicolano mythology that says Bakunawa used to be a goddess who saw the moon and was mesmerized. The moon rejected her affection and she was angry and she turned into a sea serpent to eat the moon. Haliya, the moon’s sister, fought Bakunwa off and caused the moon phases. This is the only story that involves Bakunawa being a god.

I mentioned the FIlipina thing because by giving FIlipino (an already neutral term) a gender, youre participating in what the Spaniards tried to do. why merlin is really sad if you have a basic understanding of history

Please excuse any errors, I wrote this at 5am and did not proof read.

As I was lying in bed this morning, thinking about BBC Merlin, I came to a depressing conclusion. Merlin post series would go through ALOT of shit before we see him at the very end with the truck. (Keep in mind this is from an American; any british/welsh person should feel free to correct me)

First, let’s establish when the events of Merlin took place. If we go off of the dates of the legend of Arthur/when we know the Anglo Saxons started invading, it puts us between the years 491-539 CE. The show takes place over about 7-9 years, so lets put it at the very end of this time line because 1, the quasi-historical records but Arthur and Mordred’s death between 537-539, and we can imagine that Uther and Arthur’s grandfather dealt with the earlier Anglo Saxon invasions/peaceful immigration.

We also know that Avalon is based on a location in Somerset, England. For the location of the Battle of Camlann, the original legend has it either close to/or on Snowdon Mountain in Wales. This might put Camelot in Eastern Wales/Shropshire, (which was once part of Wales,) or Herefordshire. This makes sense because the original tales of Arthur are of Welsh origin and Merlin speaks an older form of Welsh when casting spells. Camelot could also be at Warwickshire castle, where the show was filmed. (It’s also the county where Shakespeare was born!) Either way, it doesn’t really matter, this part is more for fun. What you really should keep in mind is that the whole Camelot gang would have been indigenous Britons, a people we don’t know much about. The Pendragon family likely had Roman ancestors. I’m not sure what language they would have spoke, but my guesses or either Welsh or Common Brittonic. The pendragons religion is a little up in the air since both Christianity and Paganism were both accepted at this time, but given possible roman ancestors and Uther’s hate of magic, I’m gonna say Christian.

So now we have a time and 3 major locations set, let’s look at what would happen post series. Arthur is dead and in the Lake, so let’s assume Merlin spends his time going back and forth between Somerset and Wales/Shropshire/Herefordshire/Warwickshire. After Arthur’s death, the Saxons keep on coming in overwhelming waves until 560, they were finally the dominant group. They would outnumber the Britons about 4 to 1. It’s still debated what exactly happened to the Britons, but we know that some moved to Britainy in France, but most were assumed into the new Anglo Saxon culture. Merlin and Gwen would be in their early 50s, the knights a bit older, and Gaius would probably not be alive. From the records of this time imply, The Anglo Saxons did still allow Briton rulers to rule if they were subject to the Anglo Saxon’s rules, customs and language. Gwen might have even been forced into marrying an Anglo Saxon guy. Eventually as these Briton rulers died off, and eventually all of England became ruled by Germanic kings.

But Merlin would still be alive throughout all of this, wondering how this takeover was not Albion’s greatest time of need. He would have to see all his remaining friends die of war with the Anglo-Saxons or old age. He would lose his Briton-Romanic roots and have to accept the new Germanic culture. He would eventually learn to speak Old English and see the growth of Christianity in England. A lot of stuff would happen but I kind of don’t care for about 500 years. All you need to know is two things: Camelot would basically become a county with little power and be subject to the Houses of Wessex, Denmark, Wessex again, Denmark again, Wessex again, then a random guy named Harold shows up. Merlin would see all this and be like “hey I know who would be a good king right about now but hes lowkey dead so,”

So Merlin would live in Anglo Saxon england for 500 years until William the Conqueror shows up in 1066 and takes over England, and now England is ruled basically from France. Merlin would be like what the fuck Albion is being ruled by some rando, where’s Arthur this is a time of need. No Arthur. Some more bullshit happens after William’s son Henry I dies, (he named his daughter heir and all the men were like “wOmEn CaNt RuLe!!!”) After that, nothing that would pertain to Merlin till 1157. It’s possible Merlin could think Richard I was a reincarnation of Arthur or something like that, but Richard was highkey an idiot and didn’t do anything important besides let his brother John be in charge and John sucked so Merlin would realize Richard does not equal Arthur.

In 1274, Edward Longshanks was king and I don’t think Merlin would like him very much. He colonized Wales and famously was a jerk to Scotland. He idolized Arthur and the knights, which would probably piss off Merlin even further. He would wonder if this was Albion’s greatest hour of need and if Arthur would come. No Arthur.

1337, the Hundred Year’s War Starts. It goes well for England at first and Merlin would think, oh it's just another war. Nope. It goes on in bursts for 116 years, and with the intervention of Joan of Arc, the French win. Merlin would think, “Arthur this might be a good time to come back when we are losing a huge war!” But no Arthur. (I do think Merlin would be sympathetic to Joan of Arc though.)

1455 to 1487 is the War of the Roses. Merlin would have to watch England tear itself apart over the crown and would think, “This is gotta be it. Arthur is gonna be the one to come out of this and fix the country and bring back Camelot.” But he wouldn’t come. It’s possible he could think that Henry VII was a reincarnation of Arthur and would meet him, but it wouldn’t be him.

1553. Mary I becomes Queen of England and kills a lot of people, including Lady Jane Grey. She tries bringing back a religion that was just not working for a lot of people. Merlin would see this and think, “Arthur come back with your tolerance and fix this.” But no Arthur.

1649. The English Civil War Happens. They cut off Charles I’s head and Oliver Cromwell is instated as Lord Protector. Puritanism is the new religion. For Merlin this would be really not great for him. Magic would be even more hunted then before. He would definitely think this is it. Albion’s greatest hour of need! But Charles II becomes king, not Arthur. And Charles II would not be a reincarnation of Arthur, nor would William and Mary later.

Skip ahead to Napoleon’s conquest of Europe in the Early Nineteenth century. I’m not quite sure what Merlin would make of Napoleon, but he’d see the situation as a good time for Arthur to come back. But no Arthur.

Then both World Wars! England was in a lot of trouble both times and it would probably be the time that it would make most sense for Arthur to come back. But he doesn’t. And honestly that makes no fucking sense to me. Wouldn’t it be a great sequel to the show if Arthur came back in 1918, to pick up the mess of the first World War and help fight the second? Am I going crazy? Most likely yes.

Well, this has gone on wayyyy to long so I will end this analysis here. I know I left out alot, but I tried to cover the important stuff. The main takeaway is that Merlin would go through a WHOLE lot. He would change languages at least twice, watch everyone die, and magic wain in use from repeated witch hunts.

I correct my friends' spelling and grammer a lot. And when they use things wrong (like < and >) or put commas instead of things like a colon or semicolon, I point it out and fix them. And I feel really bad about it. I feel like they think I'm being an ass and showing how much smarter I am than them. But my brain cant process some of the texts they send. So I have to sit there trying to correct it to see what its supposed to say. Otherwise I just... don't understand it. And it also bugs me when they use things wrong or use improper grammer and stuff, but that's not the main reason.

Well actually it was this:

Horizon was being teased by a demon, doing the same thing he did before with the book holding except this demon was an incubus which is already spelling not good

“Aww what’s the matter? I thought you usually liked this kind of treatment”

Needless to say Horizon is not pleased and is ready to fight a bitch because we aren’t going weak damsel in distress here

Solomon was going to just go by since he was like “whatever im supposed to hate her” but news flash you don't you’re just deceiving yourself

Anyways Horizon decides to bastard flirt back(hmm i see you learned from someone) and the incubus is quite intrigued/happy so he thinks she’s interested so he starts leaning down

Hori fucking knees him in the gut once he’s low enough and grabs her book back

Get fucked sexual harasser smh

With a hmph, she kicks him again for good measure before walking away

But guess what, demon is mad and when he recovers he starts to go after hori but in bloodlust not lust lust

Horizon looks around to see demon about to attack her and that’s when Solomon steps in. since Solomon is a powerful sorcerer, and the demon was rather lowly so it’s an easy take out

And horizon was like “what the heck i had it all under control” and Solomon was like “yeah i know, i saw” but they both know that he just happened to have the upper hand with knowing magic

“So it’s only good if I do it?” and Horizon is like “bitch your audacity-”  and he’s like, “I think I’d prefer it if only I do it too.” and horizon is like “hello?? What??”

Oops accidental confession and Solomon is like fuck it we’ll just say it since asmodeus already called me out on it earlier

And horizon is like,, “ffffffffffhgfkdhslh fine whatever i like you too eventhough you’re an annoying dick” and he’s like “as long as I can keep mine”

okay so since i couldn’t resist, here’s some info about my random ie:go steven universe!au because i have no energy for online lessons :)

also i didn’t want to post about another au since @/primsbean is making so many posts about her ie:go madoka magica!au which i fUCKING LOVE OHMYGOD- but yeah, alternate universes are my favorite snacc. i have another one to talk about but first let’s say things about the SU one <3

under the cut because it’s LONG - and remember i’m not a native english so i might do some mistakes

okay so first of all, don’t blame me if there will be some events that don’t follow the plot (since i’m NOT remaking steven universe with ie charas!!!!! please keep this in mind) or events that Rebecca Sugar would have never inserted in her show. I respect everyone who worked at steven universe, and my intention is not to say their plot/story was bad, i’m just adding something that did never happen with any chara in the su series to make my au more original, that’s it. peace and love oN THE PLANET EARTH- okay that was the best su song hands down

also keep in mind gems don’t have “gemmic” names (if you know just a little of the su series, you should know all the gems are named after their gem, but i wont give that kind of names to the ie boys - or should i call them gems then? lol)

all the gems - for now - will be males too (as there werent any og male gems in steven universe besides steven, which is an hybrid though so...)

i will list each chara’s gem and ability after the general plot <3

so, the actual protags (though all the charas are!!! these are the two) are Tenma and Fey, who are around 5,000 years old - please if you don’t remember how the gems’ years worked go search it up, there are so many threads about that - and protect inazuma city (insert shooked face) from corrupted gems’ attacks. these attacks are not really frequent and they seem to deal with the situation, but one day they start increasing, being more frequent than usual and also the gems who attack are stronger and different from the previous ones. Fey starts making a theory about a possible new attempt of the homeworld gems (i still haven’t decided which charas will “represent” them, though, since this plot is a kind of season 1 we could say??) to start colonizing Earth via war, as they already did 3,500 years before the current events but failed, with the terrestrial gems rejecting them but also losing a lot of them - since some of them got shattered during the war and others escaped to travel to other planets to start colonizing them theirselves so they could live a new, pacific life. Tenma, at first, isn’t that sure about what Fey said, but as the corrupted gems’ attacks kept increasing he realized he could have been right. as they’re the only two gems who protect their city, they start thinking they should ask help to someone, trying to find more powerful gems. 

Fey suggests to search for a trio (whose name is still not 100% sure... i randomly thought about Prism Trio just because I couldn’t remake Crystal Gems ahahah I still don’t know) which protect old war ruins in a forgotten area which is actually near Inazuma City though - but still, only some gems know about it, for example Fey did researches but Tenma knew nothing. This trio will be formed by your local ie:go chaotic trio aka Shindou, Kirino and Kariya (well, if i don’t get any more ideas for the name, then Gay Trio will be alright), who are respectively 7,600, 8,000 and 7,100 years old and actually fought in the first war. They find them fighting against a corrupted fusion, and try to join them to finish it easily and fastly. As they actually give the trio a good help, they still get scolded by them because they went in an area they shouldn’t have been to. However, the trio is still thankful to them for their help, and when Fey tells them about the situation in Inazuma City Shindou replies telling him his theory might be right as he had heard about the increasing attacks, also because the ruins were more attacked than usual in that period. Tenma kindly asks them if they could give their help back, coming with him and Fey and trying to reject the attacks together, even though he thought they’d never agree. Kirino is absolutely okay with that and shows positivity towards Tenma’s idea, while Kariya isn’t that sure since all of them should get used to a new routine, different from the one they were used to in the last millenniums. Shindou, who was neutral at the beginning, proved Kirino right since that would have been the best way to know more about the new attacks, and finally convinces Kariya to join them.

As they get in TenFey’s temple (which is the only thing IDENTICAL to the original SU one, except for the statue in the original version which is absent now), they start organizing their rooms (you know, in the temple there was that one door who led to each gem’s personal room, so the trio starts get used to them), they also keep fighting against new species of corrupted gems who keep attacking the city.

One day, then, all the five gems get to another ruins area, further from the ones the trio used to fight in, and at a moment Tenma remains alone and encounters... bepreparedtocringeihadnoideassorry... Sasuke. Yes, I did a Lion reference using Tenma’s dog instead. Original af, congrats. BY THE WAY,, he understands this gIaNt DoG (ohmygod the lion sounded better,, damn me and my dumb ideas) is related to gems somehow, and when he gets back - since Sasuke disappears after some seconds - tells the others about it, but everyone gets it as a joke and doesnt trust him. In the next fight, though, Sasuke approaches the gems and gives them help (still idk how, gotta rewatch all the lion episodes 382679345 times to get more ideas), so they all understand Tenma was right.

Some days after that, while Tenma is playing with Sasuke (gOOD BOY,,,,, I MEAN GEM,,,,,,,,,,), the dog drags him into a portal/warp (did i spell it good omg my english gets worse every day...) - just as lion sometimes does in the og series, lol - and since this warp keeps being open for some seconds, the other four gems enter it as Tenma might be in trouble alone. They all discover Sasuke led Tenma to an unknown area, which i wanted to be a desert bUT THAT LOOKS A LOT LIKE THE OG SERIES HOLY SHI- so okay, let’s make it a normal land, where there’s a fight going on. They notice a gem fighting a corrupted one all alone, and this gem seems really in need of help so they try everything to save him (oMg SpOiLeRs ThE gEm Is A mALe ToO!!11!!!111!) as they see he doesn’t have any weapon and only fights with the things he finds around himself, such as common rocks. That gem is no one else (???) than Hikaru *cries in i needed to add him hes so baby* who tells the five gems he had never seen such a powerful corrupted gem before and that he was used to reject the previous attacks in that zone more easily, and when Tenma asks him if he wants to come with him and the others to the temple Hikaru accepts without any doubt. As he gets to the temple, the others ask him if he has any weapon, but he tells them he never had the strenght to “develop” one. Perhaps, his ability (the only i’ll reveal here in the plot!!) is really useful, as he can generate light from his gem and make people and other gems blind for a limited amount of time - which, at the beginning, is really short but always increasing. He also wants to practice it as he wants to control the limit of time (for example, blinding people/gems just for a minute even if he could do for ten). When he shows his ability to the other gems, they all get blind... besides Kariya and here the ship sails *coughs* n-nothing, who is actually immune to the light’s effect. Being the only one who doesnt get blind, he starts helping Hikaru to develop his weapon.

I still haven’t thought about the rest of the plot, but there are still three characters I wanted to add. In order: Kyousuke, as an hybrid whose backstory will be way different from Steven’s in the og series (as he wasn’t born an hybrid, neither one of his parents was a gem), then Minaho and Manabe who are gems from another planet (not Homeworld, though) that are usually fused all the time... but, still, I have to think abt a plot ahah

Btw, before I go, here’s the gems’ weapons and abilities as I promised! <3

Tenma: bow and arrow, he can control the wind

Fey: he basically makes grow poisonous creepers from everywhere (kind of inspired from Lapis in the og series as she generated water and could control it), controls nature in general

Shindou: sword, his voice can reach really high pitches so if he screams he can destroy things (and, maybe, he could start shattering gems too... who knows)

Kirino: lance, has a really high speed

Kariya: basically can make strong claws grow from his hands (idk how to describe it holy fuck,,, i cant draw either, if i could i’d have showed u), his ability is telekinesis

Hikaru: well, i don’t wanna spoil his weapon as i’m gonna make another post asap... i already said what his ability was, btw. also!! i didnt mention it before, but his age is around 3000 y/o

Kyousuke: katana, he can read any person’s mind for ten minutes if he had contact with them, same goes with gems but he must touch their gem in order to read their mind (age, in human years: 17)

Minaho: guns, he can understand if someone or something interacted with someone/something else just by smelling it (sounds cringe ik,, btw his age is the same as Manabe’s, 6,700)

Manabe: since i had no more ideas, don’t blame me if this sounds Peridot-ish, but he can actually generate small but powerful robots he can control and fight with, his ability is controlling technology in general.

Another last thing... these nine characters are the same of the other au i mentioned (which is way more calm than this,,, i also have more info abt that, too), so look forward to that too <3

hello, c-puff! How are you? :) I seem i cant decide if i should read the discworld books in english or german. I still struggle a little to fully understand english by its context and would like to ask if the books are hard to understand for a non english speaker (i think its called like that, sorry!). or if i might lose some jokes due of translation xD thanks in advance!!

Oof. I have only ever read the books in English, but I can tell you right now, if english is a language that you struggle to understand now and then, German is definitely the best way to read the books for you. I am not sure how good the translation is (maybe some other German speakers can vouch for them?) but in the original english, the Discworld books contain a LOT of puns. And not puns in the Sans Undertale kind of way where the spelling of the word is just spelled a little differently, but proper puns which require context and understanding of the English language to fully grasp.

An example that’s a favourite joke of mine;

Sergeant Colon went back to his desk, surreptitiously opened his drawer and pulled out the book he was reading. It was called Animal Husbandry. He’d been a bit worried about the title - you heard stories about strange folk in the country - but it turned out to be nothing more than a book about how cattle and pigs and sheep should breed.Now he was wondering where to get a book that taught them how to read.

With the risk of ruining the joke;

there’s a pun here which is fucking hilarious to me personally, but the book does not spell it out for you and fully expects you to understand the word usage as well as some stereotypes AND be able to pick up on the subtlety and follow Colon’s thought pattern here.

Colon was born in the city and knows nothing about farming.

He’s reading a book called “Animal Husbandry”

“Animal Husbandry” is the english term for properly breeding livestock

Colon does not know this because he’s from the city.

He is worried by the title because he thought it was a book about “marrying livestock” or, more bluntly, having sex with sheep.

the stereotype that farmers in very rural areas fuck their sheep is a very old (and outdated) joke/stereotype.

Colon is an idiot and thinks the livestock should read books on how to have sex properly because he can’t figure out why HE has to know that when it’s clearly the animal’s business

So he thinks the animals should read this book instead of him

But animals can’t read

So he thinks he needs to find a book that will teach livestock how to read so they can read this book on how to breed properly

Not realising that the livestock couldn’t read the book that’d teach them how to read anyway because he’s an idiot.

So to understand the joke you have to basically understand ALL OF THAT context in english.

If you read the Discworld books in english, chances are you will most likely understand the plot fine, because the events that happen aren’t hard to follow. But if you struggle with english context, then you absolutely should rather read them in German and look for a good translation. Because all of the books rely heavily on word play, puns, tropes, common english sayings etc etc to really get all the little details.

That joke about Animal husbandry isn’t a rare case either, as most of the jokes in all the books more or less follow that line of thinking.

Another joke which is probably easier to understand but still hilarious to me;

Grammar Police

For so long I have wanted to sit and write.  Me and about 15 million other people.  I am not concerned with “being heard” - it is more for just writing to write.  Also, My journals take up way too much space.

I have always been afraid to write for public consumption.  Why?  I have horrible grammar, sentence structure, syntax and punctuation.  However, I can spell and I know the differences in there, their and they’re; and I also know (and use) the proper placement of an apostrophe.  Let’s just say that in this day and age, I feel like I am more than halfway there.

I remember having a conversation with my friend, the linguistics professor, about texting language.  She said to me that as long as points were being communicated and understood, it was grammatically correct.  WHAT?!  Okay, I am in!  Then I was out.  Then back in.  Aaaaaand out.  I had another friend remind me that there are many artists and creators.  Writing is like all kinds of art - it will be different.  (Hold on to your hats people because I am all over the place).

Should I continue with this endeavour, what you will find will be my penchant for spelling some words in proper English (behavour; endeavour; theatre) and some in my Southern slang (y’all).  You will also find, I write as I speak.  Literally - write. As. I Speak. What you will not find are shits given to proper punctuation (comma? semi-colon? what is the proper use of a hyphen?); proper placement of prepositions (they will often be at the end of things); and any other faux pas of the literary world.

You see, I grew up in a very small town and often, the teachers we allowed to teach what they thought important to growth.  This was WAY before standardized testing.  You know when teachers were ALLOWED to do things and plan as they saw fit?  I remember going into my new 8th grade English class and the teacher had a sentence written on the board.  She then randomly called on people to go to the sentence and diagram it out. I had never performed this, to date.  All my years in honors English classes and I had never diagrammed a sentence.  I was petrified (still am, actually).  Everyday was a prayer that I would not be called upon - or if so, then I would get something easy like a noun.  Oh, she would also leave out the punctuation.  RAT FARTS!  

One would think that this trauma would make me want to learn as much as I could.  And it kiiiinda did.  But not really.  I just found people better than I was to read my work before I turned it in.  (I have always known how to delegate and outsource.) Usually my older brainiac sister - who is a genius at anything academic.  It gave her a chance to ridicule me for my ineptitude - but really a small price to pay to get her expertise.  Her skill was worth way more than her insults.

I am not uneducated, I do hold a Master’s Degree.  Which was considerably painful for someone who enjoys writing but doesn't enjoy PROPER educational writing. Especially when I am reminded that unless you are exploring a PhD, no thought is original - or your own.  You know nothing.  If you think it - find a reference.  This was also considerably eye opening that I truly did not have an original thought.  If I could think it I, indeed, did find a reference.  Dammit!

 If you are going to be the English language police -please go away...or better yet, use this as a sample in your class of what NOT to do.

Lastly, a reminder: wash your hands and stay home.  You may be out and enjoying your life, but you could be bringing this new thing, we cant fight, home to loved ones.  Be responsible.  Just because YOU are healthy does not mean people around you or people around other people are healthy.  Latest research shows it lives 3 hours IN THE AIR; 2-3 days on PLASTIC AND STAINLESS STEEL; and 24 hours on CARDBOARD (delivery anyone?!?!). Look it up it is on the NIH website.  They are like the health gurus that the CDC follows.  So you lose a few months of “freedom” - please consider trading a few months for multiple lifetimes.

Please... I need help.

So I normally don't do this but I'm asking anyone and everyone for prayers.

My stepmother is... Oh my god, pure light. She's the maternal mother I should have had and she's the only woman in my life who has truly loved me for being me. In fact, I call her Mommy more than my real mother. To others she's Kassie or "M/N's Step mom" But to me she's my Bonus Mom.

I have two half sisters from my dad (one is from my stepmom) and one step sister thats from her. We all tease her that she never cut the umbilical cord from any of us and she's only given birth of two!

Now, she's always had medical problems: divaticulitis (if I'm even spelling that right) and cancer cells in her colon. These are very painful for her and she's been bed ridden from almost 10 years because her insurance sucks and they refuse to prescribe pain medicine.

I just learned from my dad that they found "bad" bacteria throughout her liver and the antibiotics they were trying to cure with it isn't working. They also found a rare blood disease that I can't pronounce let alone spell and another disease throughout her body that are both lethal.

I need prayers, please reblog.reblog.reblog and pass along the good vibes. This woman has such a big heart that her body cant contain the love in her body. She has more love in her pinkie finger than most have in their entire bodies. She's the reason I hate Cinderella movies because they give step moms a bad name, she's the reason I know how to treat my body with respect and love, she's the reason I have body positivity in my life and she's the reason I'm the maternal Mother to my children. She took a 5 year old scared little girl and turned her into a strong, independent, loving woman and I honestly don't know what I would do without her.

Her name is Kassie and she's the light in the dark part of my family's heart. She took my dad's broken heart and pieced it together with parts of her own. She brought a broken family together. She's always the one to get everyone to talk and laugh and love. She's literally the glue that keeps us together.

Please send prayers, thoughts, good vibes. Pray to whoever and whatever you believe in. Im spiritual not religious but my bonus mom is and we need all the help we can get.
