Jake: As discussed, the old owner left suddenly, so there’s a couple pieces of furniture he left. We can move them out ourselves, it’s nothing too heavy. Other than that, this place has all the things you’ll need: a workshop space, checkout counter, shelving, and plenty of good lighting.

Firefly: Daddy, can I be your first employee? I don’t have to go to school anymore, I can help with checking people out. Or I can their hats and coats! Or I can be your builder’s assistant! Please? Please, please, please?

Max: As much as I would love that, your mother would be very upset if you dropped out of school.

Jake: She’d throw a fit. I think she’s still mad Ladybug hasn’t graduated.

Firefly: Pffft, college-smollege! I hate school, I’d rather be here making stuff like you. 

Max: [Laughs] Maybe when you’re older Firefly. Why don’t you go play outside, I’ll meet you out there in a few. 

Jake: Uh yeah, there’s a playground around the corner. Just don’t talk to strangers...right? Kids aren’t supposed to do that.

ONE GOOD THING TO SAY

after a chat and prayer with my roommate, I feel like our relationship is getting on the right track. We are talking more than we were before and it seems like I've gotten passed the "it's all about me, who cares about everyone else" mini phase I was on. It's still about the grades but I clearly don't want to miss the important relationships I can achieve here .

My semester officially ended at 8:30 on Friday morning, with my Colonial America final. I'm now taking an extended hiatus from university life to pursure other ventures (which is really just a fancy way of saying that I'm officially dropping out of the University of Central Florida to do various other things, with the hopes of going back to college in the semi-near future). It took going through three majors, and two minors (Art History, Interdisciplinary Studies, History, English Literature, and Urban & Regional Planning, respectively), to come to this decision, and I'm still in the process of coming to terms with the fact that I'm purposefully not going back to college next semester. It's definitely going to be a good thing, though. UCF was pretty much the bane of my existence.

In other news, I'm sunburnt, and sleepy, and so thankful for the summertime.
